What your Doctor Who sapphic crush says about you (aside from the 60s companions because I haven't met most of them yet)
Liz Shaw: You like a woman who could technically kick your arse, but you'd rather they just info-dump about science to you.
Jo Grant: You like a kind, sweet person who cares deeply for their friends. You also probably REALLY like 70s fashion.
Sarah-Jane Smith: You like a woman with intelligence, charisma and a lot of guts. Either that, or 'SJA' may have been very formative for you.
Leela: You like a woman who could kick your arse in-theory but really you just want to be carried bridal-style.
Romana: You DO like a woman who could your arse. And smiles whilst doing it.
Tegan Jovanka: You are an old-school Whovian. You've been here a long time and probably will be for the rest of your life. You also love slightly grumpy lesbian-coded women with hilariously bad 80s fashion. You are a delight to be around. You also probably fancy Janet Fielding too.
Nyssa of Traken: Much the same as for Tegan, but you prefer quieter sapphic-coded women with curly 70s-style haircuts. And, yes, you probably fancy Sarah Sutton too.
Peri Brown: You... have very complicated emotions regarding what the BBC wardrobe department had Nicola wear.
Mel Smith: According to polls I've put out, you don't exist? Sorry about that; I personally think you are awesome and valid.
Ace McShane: You'd think this was the easy option for this question, but it's an excellent option. Like... it's Ace McShane; who DOESN'T love her?
Rose Tyler: You either wanted to be the Ninth or Tenth Doctor for reasons that you only discovered later on.
Martha Jones: You are valid and I'm sorry that this fandom was so mean to you for so long.
Donna Noble: You like someone who can make you laugh and that you can be best friends with.
Amy Pond: You like redheads and/or Scottish accents. You still haven't forgiven Moffat for the Manhattan episode.
River Song: You like MILFs who could kick your arse whilst calling you 'sweetie'. You have a complicated relationship to how the Doctor treated her.
Clara Oswald: Your type is a funny, witty person who... is also a fair bit messed up. I am a tad concerned for you.
Bill Potts: You are really cool. Just... super cool. I would like to be your ace bestie.
Yasmin Khan: Your type is a kind, sweet person who is loyal to their friends. They may have had some mental health issues they are currently working through, but -hey- who doesn't nowadays? No complaints here; you are awesome and I respect you a great deal.
Thirteen: You are every other sapphic person on Tumblr. Does that make you less valid? Of course not. You also probably fancy Jodie Whittaker. Maybe check out 'Adult Life Skills' to cope with your grief?

Fallout Casting for Megumi Fushiguccicakes for Jujutsu Kaisen Abridged react fic
"I like gigantic, heaving sophistication. Sopping wet tenderness! And a big! Fat!! Gaping sense of compassion!!!" - Megumi Fushiguro, Episode 5 JJK Abridged (by The Schmuck Squad).
Reasons To Why I Believe These Characters Should Be Casted listed below the cut:
Katja (a scavenger who joins Elrand on his journey in Fallout simply because he asked, leaving the Followers of the Apocalypse which she had tagged along with, is enthusiastic with her blades) -> She's got the sarcasm. I feel it in my bones.
Finidy Mona (my Fallout 2 Chosen One OC, faceclaim Jessica Alba) -> She looks for personality in a relationship and not to mention got skills that make her one of the strongest characters (if only she applied those skills though).
Alph Dolen (my Fallout 3 Lone Wanderer OC, faceclaim Sam Blackensee) -> He's got daddy issues.
Rose of Sharon Cassidy/"Cass" (a caravan owner from Fallout New Vegas before the Van Graffs and the Crimson Caravan worked together to destroy it, Cass drunk her sorrows away at an NCR Mojave outpost, until Ryder showed up to get her contract, though managed to barter her way into getting Cass to give up her caravan name but ensuring she still gets the opportunity to start again. Impressed, Cass journeys with Ryder to New Vegas to find Benny, and Ryder helps her find justice and learn to live. Has a heart condition inherited by her father, John Cassidy) -> Cass has a father who abandoned her, like Toji did to Megumi, and her sarcasm bites.
Danse (from Fallout 4, a loyal Paladin in Maxson's chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel, helps Nate get onboard the Prydwen and meet Maxson, a capable ally who warms up to Nate, despite his xenophobic beliefs, has a crisis after finding out his entire life has been a lie when discovering he was a synth the whole time and the group who gave him purpose have turned their back on him. Nate though doesn't give up on him and gets him out of the BoS without being killed, and gives him a place amongst the Minutemen, which Danse was greatly appreciative and grateful for. It's a long journey, but he is letting go of the hatred he had towards others and himself) -> Danse's sarcasm would probably be confusing. Also man understands the importance of BROtherhood, coming from the Brotherhood of Steel. Spends more time getting stronger to avenge his teammates than looking to get hitched.
Miria (from Fallout 2, Finidy's wife after both were caught in the act by Miria's father, Grisham, causing a shotgun wedding, and throughout their journey together they become closer and Miria becomes a rather cool fighter, unlike in canon but the mods are impressive) -> Perhaps the least "Megumi" like person here, but she would call someone out for being stupid probably (she's had to deal with Davin after all).
Sarah Lyons (from Fallout 3, the daughter of Elder Owyn Lyons, she leads the Lyons' Pride out into the ruins of DC to fight against the Super Mutant threat. There she happens upon Alph and Amata while they're pinned down by Super Mutant forces, and bring them both to the GNR station. Alph and Sarah get close and become good friends with each other, and supports him both when the Enclave take over Project Purity and during his ghoulification (especially when he's hunting down the Enclave remnants) -> She's badass and understands the "bro" in "Brotherhood of Steel". She also has a dad, so she's "daughter material".
Bitter-Root (from Fallout New Vegas, he was adopted by Major Dhatri after the massacre of the Great Khans at Bitter Springs, became an NCR First Recon Sergeant. Has negative views of the Great Khans) -> Not only is he "son material" as Dhatri has proven, but like how Megumi doesn't like the Zen'in Clan, Bitter-Root doesn't like the Great Khans (though he should really tone it down). His biological parents also weren't great according to him.
Kasumi Nakano (a girl who ran away from home in the Fallout 4 Far Harbor DLC after believing that she may be a synth, she makes her way to Acadia where DiMA took her in, and is the reason Nate and Nick go to the island in the first place. By helping Kasumi come to terms with her assumed synthhood, this is in turn helps him with his own struggles of humanity and synthhood) -> Kasumi's origins are unknown to herself as Megumi's is to him. Both I guess want to reject that side of themselves (Kasumi and her possible synth origins and Megumi's ties to the Zen'in clan)?
Davin (from Fallout 2, the son of Grisham and brother to Miria, after the latter joins Finidy on her journey after marriage, Grisham forces Davin to do something useful with his life, and Davin joins the Enclave going about. Eventually, he helps Finidy and her entourage get inside the oilrig base and guide them through it as well) -> Talented but lazy with his full potential.
Follows-Chalk (a Dead Horses' scout-in-training from the Fallout New Vegas Honest Hearts DLC, Follows-Chalk accompanies Ryder through the Zion valley and helps her meet Joshua Graham) -> Has a reluctant role model in Joshua Graham (just like Megumi kind of has a reluctant role model in Gojo though from different POV).
Remember, for the alternative option, REBLOG and put in the tags WHO else from the Fallout franchise should be Abridged!Megumi and WHY you think they'd better suit the role.
I've also created and will continue to update (until the polling is done) a Master List for the poll results of the casted winners. You can find it right here.
You can find my Fallout OC profiles Master List right here, which also includes a link to the original post where I pitched my react fic idea. Anyway, hope you enjoyed, chow!
#fallout#jujutsu kaisen abridged#casting#react fic#polls#megumi fushiguro#fallout katja#fallout 2#the chosen one#oc: finidy mona#fallout 3#the lone wanderer#oc: alph dolen#fallout new vegas#rose of sharon cassidy#fallout 4#fo4 danse#fo2 miria#sarah lyons#fonv bitter-root#sergeant bitter-root#far harbor dlc#kasumi nakano#fo2 davin#honest hearts dlc#fonv: hh follows-chalk#follows-chalk#again must reiterate the alternative option means you reblog and put in the tags who you want from fallout to be casted and explain why#and if the option has been chosen but no reblog has been made by people to explain who and why it will be ignored and not be counted

Luchasaurus, to Nick: you know, birds are descended from dinosaurs...so really, don't you think you should be calling me daddy?
So. This happened. Um. I. Well.
~
Feel the Rush, Feel Your Touch - also on AO3
~
Nick got a taste of the dinosaur and he's desperate for more.
~
Written for @wrestleprompts week 10: "Do you miss me when I'm not around?" *the other person admits that sometimes, under certain circumstances, they do* "Do you think, realistically, we could be lovers?" And, of course, also for Sarah's prompt. And to take my mind off of work to a degree so drastic we ended up with...this. Title from Alone by Kim Petras again. It's a sequel. It felt right.
~
Nick sighs in the empty hotel room, staring into the blinking fire alarm light. It’s red and green. That’s a good thing. Means it’s working. It’s a bad thing, because it makes him think of a certain dinosaur. As does the mild soreness in multiple parts of his body.
He checks the clock. 2:45am.
He picks up his phone and hits his ICE contact.
“Wha?” Matt mumbles. “Wha’s wrong?”
“Nothing’s wrong,” Nick says. “I can’t sleep.”
“Oh,” Matt says, voice clearing. “Of course. You can’t sleep, so you steal my ability to sleep. Makes sense.”
“You didn’t have to pick up,” Nick replies.
“Of course I did. You’re my brother.” There’s a muffled conversation on the other end. “Give me a sec. I’m considerate of the people in my life, so I’m going to continue this conversation so I don’t wake up my boyfriend.”
“You could just hang up.”
“Nope,” Matt says. Nick hears rustling. “Nope. I’m awake, and if it’s important enough for you to wake me up, it’s important enough to talk about.”
Nick groans, flopping back into bed. Before Mox and Matt had gotten together, all he would have had to was throw a pillow at Matt in the bed over from him and they’d be able to talk. Now it was like pulling teeth to get a moment with Matt.
He’s not jealous.
“Okay,” Matt says, “I’m in the hallway. What’s up?”
“You really didn’t have to do that.”
“I did, because you never call unless there’s something really eating at you, and now here we are.” Matt exhales. “Come on, Nicky, what’s going on?”
“I think I accidentally fell in love with Luchasaurus.”
Matt’s quiet, possibly for the first time in his life. “You – really.”
“I know.”
“He railed you one time,” Matt says, “like, eight hours ago, and you’re in love with him.”
“You don’t have to say it like that,” Nick half wails. “I’m not in love with him. I just…” He trails off.
“You are pathetic.”
“I am no worse than you, Mr. Petitioned Tony Khan to Get a Match with His Boyfriend.”
Matt goes silent on the other end. “Okay, fair.”
To his credit, Matt listens and gives advice only when asked, leading to him saying, “The only way out of this is to say something to him, Nicky. Otherwise you’re gonna wake me up at 2:45am every day for the next million years.”
Nick snorts. “Million years, because he’s a dinosaur.”
“No,” Matt insists, “million years, because you’re that annoying. Can I go back and snuggle with Mox now?” He interrupts himself with a yawn so loud it has to be half theatrics. Drama queen.
“Yeah. Yeah, go to bed.” He sighs. “Hopefully I get some sleep tonight.”
“I wouldn’t bet on it,” Matt says. “Our flight leaves in three hours.”
~
Nick spends the next four weeks, the next four Dynamites, working up the urge to talk to Luchasaurus. It’s a muggy Wednesday afternoon in July when Luchasaurus makes the decision for him.
“Little bird,” he says. “You’ve been watching me.”
Nick slips from where he was trying to nonchalantly lean against the door frame of the main locker room. He wasn’t staring, technically. He was glancing. “What? No.”
Luchasaurus’ laugh is a low rumble, something that strikes something deep inside Nick and makes him want to sing. “No need to lie, pretty thing.” Nick doesn’t preen. He doesn’t. “You back for more?”
“Uhuh,” Nick mumbles, nodding. He hadn’t meant to speak. “We, uh. EVP room is empty.” He squirms. He feels empty. “We could go there.”
They walk in silence. Anyone watching them might think they were on their way to a simple work meeting. How wrong they would be.
When the door closes behind them, Luchasaurus reaches out and curls his hand around Nick’s throat, walking them slowly back against the wall.
“I can practically feel your little birdy heart flutter,” Luchasaurus half laughs as Nick’s back collides against the wall. “Want the same thing?”
Nick inhales slowly, wishing the grip around his throat was a little more aggressive, a little more possessive. “Please,” he whispers. “Anything.”
The low laugh as an answer makes him shiver. “Such a pretty little bird.” He reaches out and rips off Nick’s shorts with one firm yank, and Nick almost comes right then and there. It’s not long before Lucha’s hands are all over him, and he feels…right.
Luchasaurus takes him apart, slowly, works him open with blunt fingers and a tongue with the kind of dexterity that has Nick keening, hands planted against the wall as Luchasaurus licks him open.
“Please,” he gasps, “Lucha, please, I need – I need you. I need your – oh, my god.”
Nick drops his forehead to the wall as Luchasaurus pulls away and hears the ripping sound of a condom pack, and it almost soothes him, almost comforts him, almost tells him he’s about to get what he wants.
“You sing so pretty for me, little crow,” Luchasaurus murmurs as he lines himself up, pressed up against Nick’s back. “I want to hear more.”
Nick sings for him, alright, as Lucha’s thick cock pushes into him. Words, random syllables, hell, a couple of weird little bird sounds come out of him as Luchasaurus rails him out of his mind, pulls every bit of his stress out and tosses it away like it’s nothing. Nick feels like this is meant to be, like he was built to fly through the air and take dinosaur cock.
“Thank you,” Nick half sobs as Lucha wraps a hand around him, stroking slowly, “god, please.”
“Such a pretty little bird,” Luchasaurus growls in his ear. “And all mine.”
That’s all it takes. Nick comes all over Lucha’s fist, entire body tensing up, and he can feel Luchasaurus come inside him, feels marked by it. He wishes, just a little, this was more real between them. He blushes when he realizes how badly he wants to feel Luchasaurus’ come leak out of him. How he wants to feel possessed.
“You good, little crow?” Luchasaurus asks, turning Nick’s head so he can kiss him.
Nick dissolves into it before remembering he was asked a question. “So good,” he murmurs. “So. So good.”
“Let’s get you resting, okay?” His voice is bafflingly sweet and soft as he scoops Nick in his arms and rests him on the couch. He even picks up the shreds of what used to be Nick’s shorts and drapes them over the back of the couch. “Do you have water?”
“Mini fridge,” Nick half mumbles.
Luchasaurus stays there they whole time as they share the water, talking about the matches for the night, and Nick aches for more. But what he aches for isn’t just the sex.
~
They repeat these clandestine meetings until halfway through September. It’s a Dynamite Wednesday, and Nick and Matt don’t have a match. Even so, they’re there for EVP duties, so Nick makes his way to Luchasaurus’ and Christian’s locker room.
“Jesus Christ, the vulture again.”
“Crow!” Nick squawks.
“Even sounds like a goddamned bird,” Christian mumbles, but he walks out of the room without another word.
Nick peeks in. “Hi.”
“Hi there little crow,” Luchasaurus says, a little smile playing on his lips. “What could you possibly be doing here?”
“Oh, don’t – you know.”
Nick falls into Luchasaurus’ lap without a second thought, sliding their bodies together like they do it all the time, like this is what millions of years of evolution planned for them to do.
“Lucha,” Nick gasps, as Luchasaurus moves his lips down Nick’s throat, nipping lightly. “God, please.”
“Now you know,” Luchasaurus says, hand around Nick’s throat, “birds are descended from dinosaurs, so perhaps you should be calling me Daddy.”
Nicks entire body tenses up. “Yeah,” he says, “Yeah, Daddy, anything.”
It leads to the most mind blowing rail-a-thon yet, Nicks entire body limp and pliable and deliciously sore afterwards. Unfortunately, his brain is the same level of wrecked.
He’s playing out a scenario of a future when Luchasaurus asks, “You good?”
“Do you miss me?” Nick blurts out.
Beneath the dark red mask, Luchasaurus blinks. “What?”
“Like, when I’m not around,” and, god, Nick wishes he could stop talking. “When we’re not, like, having sex or in the ring together.”
Luchasaurus is quiet, and Nick would kill for more than a single word response. For him to use those words to craft a response that’s music to his ears. “That’s – an unexpected question.”
Nick fights the urge to ask, to interrupt whatever Lucha’s thinking about in the moment.
“I suppose,” Luchasaurus says, and Nick recognizes that tone as his Master’s Degree voice, the one where he’s doing his best to choose his words correctly, to speak carefully, “I recognize that I’m less comfortable when your strange, avian presence isn’t around.”
To Nick, that’s as good as a love confession. “You mean it?”
“I called you strange,” Luchasaurus says, and he trails his fingers up and down Nick’s arm like it’s nothing, like they do this all the time. “I’m not sure why you seem so pleased about it.”
“You implied you feel better with me around,” Nick says. “I’ll take what I can get.”
That low, lovely rumble from Luchasaurus’ chest sounds again, vibrating through Nick’s entire body. “You think too little of yourself, little crow,” Luchasaurus says. Nick would swear he presses a kiss to the top of Nick’s head.
“I’m willing to take what I can get when it comes to you.” Nick shifts so he can look Luchasaurus in the eye, the mask a welcome sight. “Do – do you think, realistically, we could be lovers?”
Luchasaurus drops his head back against his pillow, eyes to the ceiling. He wraps an arm around Nick’s shoulders, tightly enough to pull him into his own chest. “I suppose,” he says slowly, “that’s what you could already call what we’re doing, Nicrowlas.”
“Did – did you just make a bird pun when I’m trying to have a serious moment?” Nick asks, shuffling off the strong arm around his shoulders to glare at Luchasaurus.
Lucha grins. “What? A dinosaur can’t be funny and handsome?”
Nick groans, but he drops his head to Lucha’s chest again, and thinks, perhaps, the could build a home right here.
Or, he giggles to himself, a nest.

21+. She/Her. Looking for some Doctor Who roleplays. Please be 21+ to interact!
I plot on Tumblr and write on Discord but I'm willing to do everything on Discord, if you prefer it that way. I write in third person, past tense and semi-lit/lit (2-4 paragraphs average; sometimes more and hardly ever less). I try my hardest to get daily replies up but sometimes work, life, or writer's block gets in my way, and it more realistically takes me 2-3 days.
I'm mainly interested in canon x canon pairings (MxM preference but willing to do MxF or FxF). I might be talked into canon x OC (only MxM or FxF). I like canon and canon divergent plots. If it makes sense within the universe, I'll usually be okay with doing it. I don't have any triggers and do lean towards romantic pairings and am always up for writing NSFW/smut (with a healthy dose of plot). That isn't a requirement, though.
All characters will be 18+!
I'll be listing my main muses, and next to them I'll list the character(s) I'm most dying to ship them with at the moment. In other words, on the left is the character I want to write as; on the right is the character I'd like you to write as.
I am open to doing other ships. These will just be the ones I'm most interested in at the moment.
On the left = bold means I have a lot of muse for that character ; On the right = italics means I'm especially interested in shipping my muse against that character right now.
Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart - Open to anything

I'm also up to doing any Doctor/Doctor pairing or Doctor/Former or future companion pairing.

Hello 😇👋,
My family and I are facing incredibly difficult times due to the ongoing war in Gaza 💔. Our dreams and future have been shattered, leaving us feeling lost and without purpose. My brother Ahmad and I have launched a GoFundMe campaign to help us escape Gaza, continue our education, and support our family.
Making a small donation or sharing the campaign — would mean the world to us.
Link: https://gofund.me/ace8d602
Thank you so much for your kindness and support 💖
With gratitude,
Anas Basil
Vetted by @90-ghost & by association

Our Story: I am Anas Basil, a recent high school graduate with dreams of pursuing a degree in e-business management and building a career. However, due to my family's financial hardships, I enrolled at Khan Younis Training College (KYTC), affiliated with UNRWA. Sadly, the war has turned the college, once a beacon of hope and education, into a shelter for displaced families, stripping it of its educational purpose. I completed high school with a 93% average, filled with excitement about continuing my education and securing a job to support my family. But like so many others, the war has shattered those dreams. My Brother’s Dream: My younger brother, Ahmad, is 14 years old and in the third grade of preparatory school. We’ve always called him "Doctor of the Future" because of his intelligence and his natural talent in mathematics. Unfortunately, this is the second year he has been deprived of schooling due to the conflict. Our Life in Displacement: The war forced our family to flee to Rafah, where we lived in a tent for several months. Each day, my brother and I would wake up to fetch water, gather wood, and light a fire to prepare food. Survival became our daily task, but we never gave up hope. The conflict affected us deeply, but it did not extinguish our dreams of education and a better future.
Why We Need Your Help: We are seeking €29,000 to allow both Ahmad and me to leave Gaza and continue our education in Egypt. This will help us cover: Safe Passage: $5,000 per person to escape Gaza. University and School Fees: Funding for my degree in e-business management and Ahmed's education as he pursues his dream of becoming a doctor. Basic Living Expenses: Covering rent, food, and essential supplies during our initial months in Egypt. Supporting Our Livelihood and Family: Donations will help us meet essential needs and provide vital support, allowing our family to regain stability and rebuild our lives during these challenging times. Your contribution will not only help us escape the war-torn reality we live in but also give us the opportunity to rebuild our futures. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to resuming our education and working toward a brighter tomorrow. IMPORTANT NOTICE: For more information about Anas and Ahmed's situation in Gaza, feel free to contact us below: Anas on Facebook Ahmad on Facebook Anas on Instagram Anas on WhatsApp Anas & Ahmad ----------- This fundraiser is organized by Sarah Meaney on behalf of Anas and Ahmed. 100% of the funds will go directly to support them and their family

Welcome to compassionate hearts. This is the family of Ibraheem and Najlaa Qandeel.
We are now parents of five girls and two boys;
Reham : She has 8 daughters.
Walaa : She has 3 daughters.
Ghadeer : She has 2 daughters and a son.
Nedaa : She has two daughters and two sons.
Mohammed : He has two sons.
Moataz : He has one daughter.
Ruba : My daughter, Ruba, is not married yet, but she used to work in graphic design. She was diligent at it and loved her work , But unfortunately her workplace was also completely destroyed.
We have lost our entire home during this ongoing genocide and my daughter also lost the walaa of her home and it was completely destroyed after she struggled to get a home but only lived in it for a short time.
We were displaced from our home in Gaza City to the Nuseirat camp in the central region. Then the danger intensified in this area and we moved to the Al-Zawaida area, and my married sons and daughters dispersed. Some of them went to tents in Khan Yunis and then to Rafah.
My eldest daughter, Reham, remained in northern Gaza with her husband and eight daughters, where we lost contact with her for a long time and still did not know anything about her.
There is no food or drink in the north.
Now we cannot live because of the difficulty of life, high prices, and lack of work.
My wife is very sick and tired , She suffers from cartilage in her back and legs, and did not receive appropriate treatment because it was not available in Gaza.
Her pain increased because she is currently sleeping on the floor because we live in a tent.
My eldest son: Mohammed has two children:
Ibraheem: 8 years
Omar: 6 years
His son Omar suffers from brain atrophy and difficulty speaking and moving.
His father was constantly treating him in speech, massage, and physical therapy centers in order to complete his recovery, deal with his parents, and deal with people.
His father used to allocate a special amount for him every month.
And my second son: Moataz
He has one daughter:
Maryam, 4 years old
We ask for your urgent help and necessary support to leave the Gaza Strip and escape this accursed war, massacres and genocide.
We want to travel to our beloved Egypt.
youtube
We dream of better days for us and our children. We dream of getting them to safety and being able to rebuild our lives together outside Gaza.
The number of people who want to travel is 10 people.
Me, my wife, my married children, and their wives and children.
The funds raised will be used to evacuate from Gaza through coordination by paying a fee of $5000-$7000 per person and then with the remainder money, we will use that towards starting our new life away from Gaza until things settle down and we cna return.
Then we return to Gaza, rebuild our lives again, build our home again, and compensate for part of this great loss that befell us.
We ask for your help and support to evacuate from Gaza and reach safety with our daughters and sons. Your donations and contributions will help our family survive and save us from this danger.
Sarah Abu Sidou is the one who set up this fundraiser on behalf of our family, she is a trusted relative who will send us the money in due course.

Sisters Crystal Wilson Blackmon and Penni Wilson, the singer-songwriter duo known as Crystal Penny, have released a new song, “Standards,” a timeless R&B tune brought to life by their trademark vocal harmonies, an engaging melody and lyrics that praise the legendary divas of soul music.
Already embraced by UK audiences, Crystal Penny’s new single is a follow-up to their original soul classic recordings (performed under the group name The Lovations) that have gone viral and will be available on all music app platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon starting April 21, 2023.
The core sentiment of their new single is a celebration of the Queens of the Quiet Storm. Many of these legendary ladies’ personal and professional journeys hit close to home to the Wilson sisters. “The women mentioned in the song are our icons,” says Crystal Blackmon Wilson. “We grew up listening to Sarah Vaughan and idolized Etta James and Dionne Warwick. These women inspired us to sing in the first place.”
Crystal and Penni understand how love songs affect the way we love, live, and interact with one another. “Our favorite vocalists express the grand illusion of what love should be and what we should feel,” Penni adds. “We hear it on the radio and strive to find it in our lives.”
Standards’ catchy hook is a list of famous divas’ names, including Etta James, Sarah Vaughn, Gladys Knight, Dionne Warwick, Chaka Khan, Phyllis Hyman, and Patti LaBelle. These women taught higher standards of romance to generations of Quiet Storm listeners.

I wanted to do a breakdown of the different kinds of personalities you get on Taskmaster, based on this post by @mrsbillycranston, so here are some thoughts.
I'm adding an extra catagory, which is the Charmingly Odd, for people who are both loveable and baffling. Typically when watching this person, you're thinking 'is this an act or are they actually like that in real life?' with the answer being that they are like that. If Greg Davies is an agent of chaos, Alex Horne is charmingly odd.
I'm also renaming the fuck up catagory to the loser because I feel bad calling people fuck ups. Same logic applies; while they might not be in actual last place, these contestants are the ones known for doing badly in lots of tasks.
I'm starting with series 4 - partly because I feel that's when the show really finds its footing, and partly because the extra episodes help give the contestants time to properly show off and have their personalities shine through.
Series 4
Hugh Dennis: the loser. Although he doesn't come last, he had a bad first few episodes that sticks in people's minds, and some attempts at lateral thinking that unfortunately didn't pan out for him.
Joe Lycett: the try hard.
Lolly Adefope: sweetheart. lots of cute ideas for task solutions - like making a heart with the cake.
Mel Giedroyc: one of the biggest sweetheart of the whole show.
Noel Fielding: agent of chaos.
Series 5
Aisling Bea: charmingly odd.
Bob Mortimer: cool kid with elements of agent of chaos, especially in Champion of Champions.
Mark Watson: sweetheart.
Nish Kumar: loser. One of my favourites, and I think the reason he's such a great contestant is his utter willingness to laugh at himself.
Sally Phillips: agent of chaos.
Series 6:
Alice Levine: sweetheart based on all the nice nicknames she gives Alex.
Asim Chaudhry: loser.
Liza Tarbuck: cool kid. Liza calmly walking about in the 'Find your way back to the house' task and commenting on the weather and how nice a nearby tree looked is glorious.
Russell Howard: try hard.
Tim Vine: charmingly odd.
Series 7:
James Acaster: try hard. It's always funny when the try hard does badly.
Jessica Knappet: cool kid.
Kerry Godliman: try hard.
Phil Wang: loser.
Rhod Gilbert: the poster child for agent of chaos.
Series 8:
Iain Sterrling: try hard.
Joe Thomas: charmingly odd.
Lou Sanders: try hard.
Paul Sinah: loser. I feel kind of bad for how much pain he was clearly in for a lot of the recording.
Sian Gibson: sweetheart, with elements of agent of chaos.
It's interesting how some try hards are loved, while others (like Iain and Lou here) are disliked. I don't think Iain and Lou are any more aurgumentative than, say, James from last series, or Ed in the next one.
Series 9:
David Baddiel: loser.
Ed Gamble: try hard.
Jo Brand: part cool kid, part agent of chaos.
Katy Wix: sweetheart.
Rose Matafao: sweetheart with a bit of tryhard energy. Love the cowboy engergy.
I would have loved a team with Ed, Jo, and David. It would have been hiliarious, even if Ed might have ended up killing someone by the end.
Series 10:
Daisy May Cooper: try hard.
Johnny Vegas: cool kid.
Katherine Parkinson: loser.
Mawaan Rizwan: loser.
Richard Herring: try hard.
I feel this is almost a series of losers given how many times everyone got disqualified.
Series 11:
Charlotte Richie: sweetheart.
Jamali Maddox: agent of chaos.
Lee Mack: cool kid and a bit of a try hard, although he differs from other THs in that he cares less about winning and more about not losing.
Mike Wozniak: charmingly odd and utter sweetheart.
Sarah Kendall: cool kid.
Series 12:
Alan Davis: cool kid.
Desiree Birch: sweetheart with a bit of chaos.
Gus Khan: agent of choas.
Morganna Robinson: agent of chaos.
Victoria Cohen Mitchell: loser.
Series 13:
Ardal O' Han: loser and agent and choas.
Bridget Christie: Charmingly odd and agent of chaos, though unlike other agents, the chaos seems unintentional. I think there's also elements of the loser as well, because she either does extremely well or extremely badly, and the latter are some of the more memorable parts.
Chris Ramsey: try hard.
Judi Love: loser with some agent of chaos.
Sophie Dukker: sweetheart and agent of chaos.
#taskmaster#long post#originally i was using 'fuck up' and i just felt really bad about it#i didn't want people thinking i hated those contestants; they're usually some of my favourites#nish kumar my beloved#judi love my beloved#also mike wozniak and bridget christie my beloveds but that's down to how odd they are#anyway this is just what i think#i strugged with some of the later series because there was more overlap#i think more contestants go in wanting to be chaotic now
