“I don’t know what to think anymore, Yon-Rogg.”

He looked at Star -no, Sansa. If he were to be honest, Yon-Rogg also didn’t know what to think anymore. The events of the last month had shook his beliefs and his calm more than he’d wanted to admit.

She didn’t need to know how much he was questioning at this point. He considered pointing out that they could choose to go back to how things were before… But he also knew she’d never accept it.

Sansa had lived with a leash around her neck for a long time, and he was the one who’d put it there.

There were many lies and half-truths between them and she’d never trust him again, and Yon-Rogg had no one but himself to blame.

That he felt guilt, that he felt anything… It was not good, but she’d always been a part of him that he didn’t know how to handle.

He’d tried to keep her as a pupil, but she pushed the boundary and he let her, pretending she was the one that was reckless.

This was a mess of his own making, and he also didn’t know what to think anymore.

“You lied to me.”

“I made you a better version of yourself. What's given can be taken away.”

“You don’t control me anymore. I don’t have to listen to you.”

“It was never about controlling you, Star. It was about saving you.”

“You were taking me down a dark path!”

“Everything we do is for the betterment…”

“DON’T LIE TO ME! I’m tired of your lies.”

“Star, you need to control…”

“My name… Is Sansa Stark.”

“You think any of this is easy for me?”

Yon-Rogg snorted. “Please. You didn’t even have to think before you betrayed us.”

“Betray you? You lied to me!” Sansa could feel her blood boiling.

Yon-Rogg growled in frustration. “I thought it was the right thing to do! I thought I was helping you!”

“Big help!” Sansa snapped, throwing her arms up. “And the worst part is that, despite all that, I still…”

“What?” Yon-Rogg snapped back. “You what?”

Sansa glared fiercely at him. “I still love you, you asshole!”

Yon-Rogg was stupefied, montioneless.

“I can’t even believe I…”

“Star! Shut up!” He grabbed her by the nape and pulled her mouth to his.

I didn’t think I’d stay away for this long.

“Are you tying to make me feel guilty?”

“If you do, we have one more problem. You need to get your emotions under control, Star. You can’t always depend on your fireworks, on those explosions inside you.”

“Why not?”

“Because if you were in control you wouldn’t need it to knock me down. Stop using your heart, start using your head. I want you to be the best version of yourself.”
