if mk is adopted, that means reader has to choose to adopt mk, even knowing of all the risks of having someone born like the monkeys doesn't it? there isn't that i wanna say social? obligation to keep the kid, she could bring mk to someone else to raise and wash her hands off of it, but to adopt is to call him her son in spite of or perhaps because of the connection to the monkies. people are much more likely to raise kids they made than they randomly find, you know?

but if mk is bio kid, then there really isn't that struggle to choose, because there is already a blood bond to encourage reader to keep mk.

Yes Reader would have to choose to adopt Mk that is true. But I have an idea on how it would work. As I said she would have already been pregnant weather with Mk or with the twins. Who are the twins? Bao and Tao the little shadow and light monkies! I love these two so much!! Haven’t written much about them though.

Anyways when Reader finds the island she settles down in after finding out she is pregnant she spends several years in peace raising her children. She had traveled to a place that The Brotherhood never travels as they don’t think there is treasure of adventure there. It’s mostly human territories, except for the one island that Reader ends up on!

That being the dragon island (Don’t have a name for it) This is where she meets Ao Lie who takes a liking to her and helps her out along with his friends, Sandy, Mo, Pigsy and Tang! (This is more of a LMK than JTTW au btw)

So Reader has two Monkie demon children she is watching and taking care of when she finds Mk. A small child covered in dirt with dark brown fur, six lotus shaped ears and bright golden eyes. Or should I say Bao and Tao find him, at the age 5 years old they are very adventurous and find the cub who instantly starts following them around. Which they quickly decide to guide straight to their mother who immediately freaks out worried they kidnapped a poor child but soon finds out that’s not the case. (He hides his ears by pressing them together because everything is too loud for the poor baby - Reader finds out about his ears after she officially adopts him)

So when Reader meets Mk her own cubs are already very attached and don’t want to let him go. They debated letting Pigsy watch over him but because Pigsy is a traveling Merchant in this Au they decided against it. No one else in the village wants to watch the monkey child and the responsibility falls to Reader. Not only because no one else will do it but because she knows how to care for monkey cubs to a point (She’s not perfect but does everything she can with love and care)

Anyways what I’m trying to say is that Reader doesn’t HAVE to take in Mk but she does because she falls in love with the child. And what’s one more cub? (It’s a lot! He is as mischievous as his older brothers who like to get into trouble. Luckily Ao Lie likes to help them and his great granddaughter becomes fast friends with the monkey trio)

Heyo, I have a bit of a prompt for ya. So I’ve seen the “Demon that wants to abduct and forcibly marry Reader,” post(s) and raise a “The local regent/king finds Reader attractive (in a way that he views her almost like a novelty than as a whole person) and offers her a position as a concubine/ ‘palace lady.’” This is a different kind of scenario because straight up murdering the king of the area is not exactly the option that’d let the journey continue smoothly and refusal could also be construed as an offense to the king, but Reader does not want to and needs to continue with them on the journey. All of the other disciples know this, and maybe can tell she’s uncomfortable (even if it’s before Wukong has really fallen for Reader, she is still someone he would consider to be his friend at the very least). How are they going to get out of this one? (Slightly inspired by the time Tripitaka was propositioned in the Kingdom of Women by the Empress.)

Idk if you’ve done it already or not, but what abt Nezha romance headcannons?

I haven't done Nezha yet so here's one for him.

If you've caught Nezha's fancy you may not know it for a while. Here's the basic gist.

Nezha is a private person, and likes to observe things rather than rushing in head on. He'd be patient about courting you. Waiting for the right moment, perhaps somewhat shy.

Stern attitude. Nezha isn't one to mess around with serious matters but don't let that fool you. He has a playful streak and he will play games with his S/O. He's competitive though so you best be ready for him to aim to win.

Affection. Nezha is subtle with affection but gives it freely. He might initiate but he's more likely to allow you to choose when to initiate affection. Holding hands, kisses, and hugs he is fine with though he might be a bit blushy and huffy about it if you do initiate Infront of monkey king.

Protective. Nezha isn't the jealous type. He will allow you to do what you would like because he trusts you. However, should anyone harm you in anyway, he is prepared to handle the situation.

Flirting? Nezha can indeed flirt. And he's even good at it. He doesn't really see a need to unless he's in a playful mood though, or if you start it. But be warned, if you start flirting he will take the opportunity to fluster you.

It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. 

Sandy's eyes flicked between all three of his 'clients' and sipped his tea. Clearing his throat caught the attention of two of the monkeys sitting beside each other. 

"So, uhhh, does anyone want to start us off with a 'I feel' statement?" Sandy smiled.

"I feel like this is a waste of time." 

"I feel like someone should have thought about that before being the reason we're here in the first place." 

"I feel like I want to strangle someone." 

"...great…great start everyone!" Sandy weakly applauded. 

"Look, Sandy, as much as we appreciate this, I don't think we-" 

"-Nonsense! If MK entrusted me to help you three through your issues, then I am more than happy to help!" Sandy's eyes shimmered. "I wouldn't wanna let my little buddy down!" 

"...right," Wukong deflated as he realized there wasn't any way of getting out of this without feeling guilty. Sandy nodded and turned to you, who was sitting with their arms crossed over their chest and their eyes studying the decorations on the walls of his ship. 

"How about you tell me what brings you all here with me today?" Sandy called out your name as he reached for his cup of tea again. Macaque, who sat in the middle of both of his partners, tensed as he tapped his sharp nails along his arm. Wukong, much to his nonchalant attitude, looked carefree but he was nibbling on his bottom lip as his brow furrowed proved otherwise. 

"Where to fucking start," You glanced at the blue gentle giant, who's smile did nothing to ease the flames of anger that began to rise. In fact, you rose from your seat and began pacing around the room. "Let me begin, those two always arguing like an old married couple for every single decision we have to make as a throuple-" 

"Hey! We don't bicker every time."

"-and do you know how infuriating it is to argue over what we should eat every.single.night?" You sent a mean look at Wukong who stuck his tongue out at you.

"I think that's a bit of a stretch." Macaque met your dirty look with his own shit-eating grin/scowl. 

"Don't get me started on how long it takes for us to fuc-" 

 

"-OOOOKAY!" Sandy jumped up from his seat and held a hand to stop you from continuing. "I think I have an idea on what we should do to help you guys!" 

 

"Oh really?" You sat back down, arms crossed, and one leg over the other. Your glare didn't relax until you felt something soft cuddle into your bicep. You peered out of the corner of your eye to see Mo rubbing his cheek against your arm. Despite your contorted face, you grabbed the kitty cat and placed him on your lap to pet. 

 

"Yep! It's simple really," Sandy pulled out a chart from behind the couch. "You guys can take alternating turns on who chooses what for that day!" 

Sandy pointed to a purple square on a random Tuesday. "Here, Macaque gets to choose what you guys eat for dinner, where you'll go on dates, and all of that good stuff!" 

Sandy pointed to a (f/c) square, "And then you'll choose, and vice versa for monkey king!" 

"Why am I last?" 

 

"Don't complain." 

 "I am not-" 

"If you two don't shut up and listen to Sandy, I'll make you shut the fuck up." 

Both monkeys winced before following your command. 

"...right," Sandy continued. "If anyone has any complaints or starts a fight over something that could've been communicated properly, then they lose a day and it's given to the next person who's supposed to choose next." 

"Alright, sounds good," You rubbed under Mo's chin and felt yourself relax as the cat purred. "We'll try that, thank you, Sandy." 

"Yeah, thanks!"

 

"Hm." 

"Great! I'll see you guys next week then! Keep me updated, you silly gooses!" Sandy took Mo from you before ushering you all out of his boat. He closed the door and slid onto the floor while sighing. 

"They're gonna fight again, aren't they?"

Mo shrugged.
