Maybe something with the reader being shaken-up about a case?
hi lovely! tysm for the ask <3 | sam winchester x fem!reader, 1.2k, hurt/comfort, implied trauma, brief implied gore, brief mentions of death, brief mentions of vomit, sam being so soft and gentle, mostly comfort
She didn’t realise that she was crying until she couldn’t see.
It was like she was looking through an obscure glass window. The bunker’s kitchen blurred out of view, lost behind the film of tears that was quickly leaking.
It was almost funny. She was only eating a sandwich, nothing more. Nothing had been said, nothing had happened. She wasn’t even thinking, not really. Her thoughts had sounded fuzzy and distorted since the case they’d worked two days ago.
She blinked, the film of tears broke and dripped down her cheeks, and the bite of sandwich in her mouth suddenly felt like chewing cotton, like it wouldn’t melt down. She had to swallow it in two lumps, by which point she couldn’t see again, the tears were building too rapidly.
With her impaired vision, the only reason she was able to tell that Sam had also realised she was crying, was when she felt his warm palm against her face.
“Hey,” his voice was so soft it made her chest hurt. “Hey, baby, what’s wrong? Are you okay?”
She blinked rapidly to repair her vision, eyelashes tickled with the tears that dropped from them, and when she looked up at him all she could do was nod. She was scared of the sound that'd come out of her if she tried to talk. The pressure in her chest was building like a mentos and coke experiment. If she opened the lid, she’d burst.
Sam thumbed her tears away, delicate as always, and crouched in front of her. He looked so worried. It wasn’t fair. It wasn’t his sadness.
“Easy, sweetheart,” he squeezed her knee, and rubbed at her thigh with his free hand. “Do you want some water?”
He didn’t wait for her nod to get up and retrieve it. The glass was cold when it was pushed into her hands, and it took four sips before it felt like the lump in her throat had dissolved only slightly. But it was helping.
Sam didn’t push her to talk. He sat beside her on the bench of the table and rubbed his palm along her spine as she sipped from the cool relief. He was so nice it made her want to cry more. How could someone be so loving? How did he fit all of the gentleness inside of him? His ribs must’ve been straining with the pressure.
“Sorry,” her voice felt too small, too weak. “I don’t know why I’m crying.”
Sam rubbed the heel of his palm between her shoulder blades. “Don’t be sorry,” he murmured in that gentle tone of his. “Do you think it could be… I mean, is it the case? Is that what’s bothering you?”
“I’m…” her breath wavered on her inhale. “I don’t-”
“Hey, it’s okay,” Sam took one of her hands with his free one, laced their fingers until all of their knuckles were kissing. “It’s alright, sweetheart. You’re safe.”
The lump in her throat bobbed, and she had to sip the water again.
The case they’d worked that past Wednesday was the first case that had made her physically throw up. The grass has been damp beneath her knees, dew from the green soaked into the denim of her jeans as she hunched over and emptied her stomach, the side panel of the Impala cold beneath her palm where she steadied herself. Sam’s hand had been warm against the back of her neck. Dean’s jacket had been a little heavy over her shoulders. The scene that played in her mind of what they had seen inside that house like a broken film reel had been disgusting. It had been downright evil.
It was the first case that she’d had to step back from and let the boys do their job. The first case she’d sat in the backseat of the Impala for whilst the boys buried what was left of the body.
It was the first case that had numbed her mind a little on the drive back home.
And it was the first case she’d cried about two days after.
The obscure glass was back in the role of contact lenses. Her hand squeezed Sam’s until hers shook, but he didn’t mind. He leaned over her until she was tucked against his side completely, like he’d held her on the drive home from the case.
“I don’t like our job sometimes.” Her voice broke, muffled by his collar. She inhaled deeply, tried to ground herself with his scent.
“I know.”
“I wish we’d never gone there.”
“I know, sweetheart.”
“She was already dead-” the words came out warped around a hiccup and she put her glass down to hug him instead, arms wrapped around his waist like she couldn’t bare to be any further from him.
Sam’s hand came up and stroked through her hair, something that he knew soothed her. Deft fingers pushed through the strands of her hair, nails scratched at her scalp so so lightly, until some of the tension had left her body, left her drained against him.
Her chest still ached.
“You know what I think about, after cases that we don’t win? Cases like that?” Sam’s voice was soft, she heard it through his chest, a deep rumble that had as much of an affect on her as a cat purring in her lap.
“Hm?”
“It’s cheesy, I know, but I think about all the people we’ve saved,” his fingers continued their ministrations as her tears soaked into his shirt. “And we’ve saved so many — you’ve saved so many.”
“But not her.” Her voice broke.
Sam took a breath. “No, not her,” he murmured. “Nobody said this life was easy. But if we wanted the easy life, think about how many people wouldn’t be here because we hadn’t saved them.”
It was a nice thought. That there were people around, living and loving and breathing because of them. But that girl…
“It’ll hurt for a while,” Sam murmured. “It’ll hurt for longer than a while. I can't say anything that’ll ease it. I wish I could, sweetheart,” he kissed her temple. “But… we do a lot of good, you know. You do.”
She nodded, but didn’t respond. She breathed through the rest of her tears in Sam’s arms, and only when the ache in her ribs had lessened did she lean back and looked up at him.
He smiled so softly that made her wonder how he was so perfect for her. It made her wonder how many lives they’d lived together before this one.
“What do you need, sweetheart?” Sam murmured as he lifted a hand and delicately wiped at her eyes, before he just held her jaw like he was holding light. “A bath? A nap? D’you wanna go for a drive?”
Her head rested in his palm like it was crafted for that purpose alone. “A nap sounds nice.”
“Yeah?” Sam smiled a little more, and leaned in to kiss her forehead. She wanted to cry again. “Then we’ll nap.”
Her eyes watered again when she murmured, “Thanks, Sammy.”
“Hey, ‘course,” Sam wiped at her tears once more, like he was trying to brush water from the pages of a book. Delicate, not wanting to ruin what was underneath. “I love you, okay?” He kissed her forehead once more. “We’ll get through this.”
We’ll. Maybe they would, if she had him.

Every breath you take (12)
Summary: There is a shadow following you. He doesn’t know what he got himself into.
Pairing: Stalker!Bucky Barnes x fem!Reader
Warnings: stalking, being stalked, loneliness, a man out of time, secret admirer trope, longing, abandonment issues, crazy reader
A/N: You all made me do it! Here’s the series to this random idea: Stalker Bucky & Crazy Reader
Catch up here: Every breath you take (11)
Every Breath You Take Masterlist
Friday came and went. All your hopes died because you bought the new dress and dolled yourself up for nothing.
Sadly, Bucky had to cancel your next date. He told you that he must help his friend on what he called a mission.
You understood that some things are more important than a date, but it felt like the world crashed down on you hearing these words come out of Bucky’s mouth.
He didn’t even come around to tell you face-to-face. Bucky called to cancel your date. Since that day, you haven’t heard of him.
It’s been six excruciatingly long days since you last heard of him. No call. No smile. Not even a damn postcard. You’d accepted smoke signals too.
Checking your phone again, you sigh deeply. You left the curtains open and touched yourself for almost an hour, but nothing happened. Your plushies are the only witnesses to your naughtiness.
It’s another Thursday night, and you haven’t heard of your secret admirer yet. He missed your sex date and didn’t send any gifts.
You huff, frustrated. How dare he leave you hanging like that? You had something special, and now you are all alone on your bed, with a slicked vibrator and your plushies as your only company.
“Wait for it,” you curse, and suddenly sit up, slamming your fists into the mattress. “You can’t treat a lady like that, Sir. No way!”
“Did you at least call your date? I hope you know women don’t like it if you don’t show up for a date.” Sam jokes as Bucky is hurriedly running upstairs. Not only to bring Alpine home but to get his phone too.
He had to leave it at home to prevent anyone in his contacts from being in danger if he lost it. Well, he only has you, Sam, and his therapist in his contacts.
“I didn’t have the chance, Sam. I only called her last Friday to tell her I wouldn’t make it to the date.”
“Sheesh, I hope you didn’t lose the girl over this unnecessary mission,” Sam huffs, and runs his hand over his dirty face. He didn’t have a chance to change clothes or take a shower. “I’m sorry for dragging you into this shitshow.”
Bucky swallows thickly. After he planned a future with you, coloring it in the brightest colors, he cannot lose you. “She won’t break up with me over a missed date.”
“Oh, you are going steady already?” Sam cocks a brow. “You didn’t tell me it’s getting serious. I’m going to be your best man, right?”
“I’ll think about it if you never stop me from going on a date with her again,” Bucky grumbles. He can’t wait to check on the footage he recorded over the last few days and to see you.
“Alpine, punk!” Bucky shoos his cat away. He tried to catch up on what he missed, only to find his cat sitting on the remote control. “Shush, I need to hear—”
His heart stops beating for a second when he hears you cry. You tell your plushies that you believe that your secret admirer lost interest and that Bucky canceled your date.
“No, doll,” he sniffles. “Baby…doll…don’t cry.” His features darken when he switches to the livestream. You’re packing a suitcase and three duffle bags, stuffing all your favorite plushies into one bag. “What is she doing?” He pumps up the volume, but he can’t hear anything. “Fuck!”
Alpine hisses because Bucky jumps up. What if he missed something? What if you are going on a vacation or, worse, move out?”
He panics. “Fuck, Alpine, we got to get her today!” Bucky says this and quickly looks around the room, wringing his hands.
There’s nothing worth keeping, but a few things from the past he always kept in an emergency backpack. He walks toward the laptop, grabbing it before he calls for Alpine to jump on his shoulder. The last things he grabs are the plant he bought and the backpack before storming toward the door.
He doesn’t look back. Bucky won’t miss the apartment. This place was never home to him. Maybe no place will ever feel like home again. The apartment was a necessity, nothing else.
Bucky holds his breath. After storing his things in his car and telling Alpine to sit in the passenger seat and not make a fuss, he decided to follow you around town.
You’re currently dragging your suitcase behind you, huffing and muttering because your feet hurt like hell. You had hoped your secret admirer would show up when you walked around town with your suitcase and bags.
“Fuck,” you curse, and stop walking for a second. You look left and right. A noise caught your attention, and you feared someone else, but your secret admirer followed you.
You step backward when the person following you steps out of the shadows. He sighs and shakes his head when you get your phone out to throw at him.
Bucky easily catches your phone and gives you an apologetic smile.
“It’s late, and you shouldn’t walk around in the dark all alone.” His eyes darken when you cross your arms over your chest.
“What?” You huff and give him the stinky eye. “Wait! You didn’t stalk me for a week. Where have you been?”
Bucky gasps. You know he’s your secret admirer, and you don’t seem afraid at all. “What? I…” He can’t fathom that you are mad at him for not stalking you.
“We have a routine, sir. I leave my bedroom curtains open so you can get a glimpse of my cute bottom, and I get off imagining you will break into my apartment to eat my coochie!”
Bucky exclaims loudly. “What the fuck!”
“You can’t change our routine out of the blue. Thursday nights are there for our sex dates, Bucky! How can you just disappear and not even call me?”
“Sex dates?” Bucky starts to sweat. He looks around the deserted street, asking himself if this is the right moment to grab you. Moments ago, he wanted to take you with him, but now he’s unsure. Maybe you’re out of your mind at the moment because he didn’t call you for over a week.
You stare at each other for a moment. Bucky looks unsure and swallows thickly.
“I got the bags with me for a reason,” you say, pointing at the duffle bags slung over your shoulder and the suitcase standing next to you. “Now, chop-chop and kidnap me! I want to see your home!”

Cassiopea and Orion #3
#1 #2
A/N: Finally got some time to continue working on this... to be honest this was pieced together through a bunch of different lunch break writings... sorry if that shows. Also @kizzer55555 totally love your addition on #2! Honestly I squealed when I read it! You were nearly spot on on what I had in mind to where I wanted to go with this story line. Tho I hope you don't mind that I took a bit of inspiration from you while writing some parts of this.
A/N2: Also you guys *sigh of fondness for the dpxdc fandom* originally I wasn't going to tag it just yet but I guess I will now, even if I have no experience writing it and only tried to sort of hint at it a bit for readers interpretations: Spirit Halloween 👻
Ellie frowned watching these people, still sitting on her spot on the railing. Once their initial excitement quieted down and the seriousness of the situation took over, she was left with nothing more to do than to watch the situation unfold before her. A part of her was surprised about the amount of information the big bad bee had on Danny. Some of which she thought was information that previously only Tucker, Sam and Jazz had. But apparently Ellie had been wrong.
Massively wrong by the amount of information she was seeing here. How long had Danny truly been in contact with this guy? There had to have been more than just the occasional phone calls she had caught him on. Did that mean this guy also knew about Dan? About the GIW? About the Infinite Realms? If he knew about all this why, why didn't he help sooner? Why hadn't Danny made contact with this guy sooner either? She did notice him pausing at certain points before continuing like nothing was happening. It didn't look like the onlookers minded, but to Ellie it was an indicator that big bad bee knew more.
She stayed silent the entire time, only muttering a correction ever now on then when she did note that the guy's information was outdated. Still something bothered her the entire time. Ellie didn't know what it was exactly, but the grim faces of the onlookers and the stoic nearly cold sounding explanation of big bad bee rubbed her wrong.
It was only at the end of it that she realize what it was exactly that had bothered her so much.
"What about family? Does she have anyone else left?" One of the onlookers asked and Ellie's head snapped up towards them. That sounded like... no, they weren't...
"According to her, Phantom lost his haunt. Including the code she gave to Robin, we can assume that there is no other safe place left. Unless..." Armored furry turned towards her, and Ellie stiffened only slightly as it appeared that they were finally going to address her again. "What is the status of Plasimus."
"You know about him too huh..." She muttered, not looking at any of them. "Castle is gone, whereabouts unknown, Mom was worried that he was one of the first after the first one of no contact, but that's not confirmed. Nothing turned up to indicate that."
Ellie didn't look up to see the reaction in regards to this information she shared but her head did snap up at the next words she heard. "And your brother?"
Wide eyed she stared at the man that had moved and was now before her, hands carefully placed on her shoulders as he bended down slightly to be on her eye level. Her mind was racing. He knew! This man knew about Dan. Distantly she heard one of the onlookers complain that in all the Infromation Bee had given them he had not mentioned about Ellie having a brother. She didn't react on that, instead searching that man's face despite it being half covered by a bat shaped cowl.
She wasn't sure what she was searching for but she wasn't finding it. Now she wished she had paid more attention to Grandma Pandoras lessons on Aura reading. Dan was in Far Frozen, put into stasis and protected and cared for by Frostbite and his tribe. The other ghosts were looking out for him too, they would do the same for her if she had a way into the Ghost Zone but both portals were gone and Danny, Wulf and Cujo were the only ones currently able to open portals. She wasn't even sure if they knew what Danny had done to protect her.
As her mind wandered Ellie did not realise that the people around her took her silence as some kind of answer. She did not realise how those she doubted onlookers shared grim and saddened looks. Nor how the man before her squeezed her shoulders ever so slightly as if afraid that she would brake any moment.
"Do not worry. You will be safe here with us." The armorer furry reassured her, drawing her attention back to the current moment. Suddenly her earlier suspicion came back to hit her in the face as her eyes once more widened.
"What do you mean?"
"We will take you in and you will be safe and won't have to fear them with us."
She was sure that was meant to sound reassuring but it wasn't. It made her stomach sink. With a moments use of intangibility she pushed away from the man floating backwards and putting more distance between her and these people. Danny gave her the code, told her to use it in a dire situation. That she would get help with that code. That they would help! This didn't sound like the help she wanted. She hadn't even gotten to explain the situation from her side. All they did was apparently assuming something all because of that stupid code Danny, her mom, gave her.
"What about mom?!" She didn't scream but by the faces she might as well could have. "The code was to get help! Mom needs to be rescued! Why are you acting like you won't! Danny promised I would get help when I use it!"
"Danielle." She halted and froze. That tone was stern and it was missing the gravel she had previously heard in that man's voice, it sounded the same way Danny or Auntie Jazz sounded when they needed for her to listen.
"Wait B! I don't think-"
"The code Danny gave you. It's his last resort code, personalised to you. It is one of our many codes we both came up with for our children. One only for situations we did not believe to come back from alive."
"W-what?"
"Aquila, Apus, Phoenix, Cygnus, Columba, Grus, Pavo and Corvus. Each of them has one specific Code personalised for the exact same situation you are in. I am sure Danny has mentioned them to you at least once." Ellie blinked finding a familiarity with these words but also frowned with the realisation that set in with that. Her eyes unintentionally wandered over to the onlookers, no birds, these codes belonged to. She couldn't really tell which belonged to who but she knew Danny must have come up with them as some sort of inside joke.
"B! You can't just-"
"But Mom..." Her voice sounded small even to her own ears.
"I am sorry. But you will be save with us. I promised Danny that years ago."
She knew that her de-aged body was probably influencing her emotional state as she slowly floated back into reach. Before she could sit back onto the rail like she had done the entire time before she felt herself getting dragged to the side and suddenly warm arms encircled her. Ellie blinked confused until her brain caught up. The bird in blue was hugging her. The warmth felt comforting, just like when Danny, Jazz, Val or Sam hugged her and for a moment she let herself enjoy it. Dropping her guard just for a little bit to draw comfort from this warmth.
While Nightwing distracted the little girl in his arms, he made distinctive eye contact over her head with his siblings, before indicating his head towards Batman. Red Robin and Signal nodded before moving towards the man, Robin trailing behind them after he shared one more glance with him. His eyes turned towards Red Hood. The other wasn't even looking at any of them as he was already on his way stomping right out the cave, ignoring everyone around him. Nightwing was going to make sure to send any additional information they would get from Danielle his way later too. Black Bat and Spoiler stayed close to him.
It was moments like these that Nightwing really appreciated the silent understanding he and his siblings had among each other and if Batman was to much into his own head with these stupid codes and apparently already grieving. Then they would step up and if they could give the little girl in his arms the kind of help she had clearly hoped to get from them. It wasn't a promise of safety that the Danielle was looking for or even needed, rather she was hoping for people willing to help her rescue Phantom, her parental figure, her mother, her family, when she had no one else left.

Tara Carpenter/Fem!Reader
Summary: Cast Away AU. What if Tara was with someone when you returned
Warnings: angst but happy ending
WC: 2.8k
Author’s Note: requested by @blackwidowifey Hope you like it dude. Sorry for any mistakes
The flight home, your mom refused to let you out of your sight. To be home, back in your that had not changed had felt so surreal. A part of you was scared, scared that you'd wake from this dream and be back on that island. If that were to happen you weren't so sure you'd survive.
"You don't need anything sweetheart?" Your dad's voice brought you back to the present, you were still standing in front of the door of your room.
"No, I'm okay dad. Thank you."
Your dad couldn't begin to imagine what you went through for the past three years. Almost four. He knew you had changed. Not just physically but mentally as well. To see you like this. So confused, lost. It hurt him. He wanted to help you. But he just didn't know how.
You were told by your sister that things had changed quite a bit. From your friends and Tara no longer living in Woodsboro. To your family not being in contact with Tara for the past year.
"Riley?" You had entered your sisters room, who didn't even live here anymore. Another thing you missed that you were now an aunt. She had gotten married two months ago. To the man she had loved for so long.
And you missed it.
"Yeah? Everything okay?" Riley had never moved so fast to get home the moment her mom called to inform her that you had been found. Almost four years thinking her little sister was dead. The sob she had let out had alarmed her husband. Her husband. The man that you met, the man that held her when the cops told the family that your flight had crashed and there were no traces of the plane. The man that held her when the search party gave up after just two months of searching. The man that kept her going after your funeral.
The wedding she had, had been small. She had no bridesmaids, that spot had been reserved for you. You were her little sister but also her best friend.
"What made you stop talking to the Tara and the others?" It had only been a day since you returned back home. You were still extremely weak, bruised a little too easily, still had some sun burns but with the luxury of some aloe. Those were healing a lot faster.
"They moved a year after the search party was called off. They tried to stay here but it had been hard for them. Tara took your dea-disappearance hard. She wasn't the same. She was different, depressed, in denial. Sam moved her to New York permanently so she could heal and move on. After a year of them being there. Our connection kinda stopped. I didn't reach out and they didn't either."
You listened to everything she was saying. Almost four years of being gone. You knew that if you made it and came back. Things would be different. People would have moved on.
"Can I..can I see your phone." Riley handed you her phone. You opened instagram with one person in mind. Typing in her username. She hadn't posted in a quite a bit. But what she had were just some nature shots. So you moved on to the next person. Mindy. The first three picture being of the friend group with new faces. A average height man had his arm around Tara. A smile on her face as she smiled at the camera.
Your vision blurred with tears. The same feeling of loss grew. Tara, had have moved on. And you couldn't be upset about that. You had no right to be upset. Tara could wait forever.
She didn't need you anymore.
*
You now hated the smell of fish and coconut. You vowed on that island that if you ever got off it you would never touch fish or coconuts ever again. After your dad said he had a few things he had to do. You jumped at the opportunity to get out of the house. It had only been four days since you were back home. The past four days you had spent them in the house resting.
When he drove to the cemetery you knew what he was doing. Seeing your own tombstone was something you never really thought of. Seeing the rock was bone chilling.
Going to the store after that was the distraction you needed. Helping your dad with the grocery shopping, but the more you moved around the more tired you were starting to feel, you tried to ignore it. You went three and a half years moving around barefoot and half nude. A little walking around a store shouldn't bother you. Your dad saw that you were getting tired and was quick to gather the groceries.
*
Meeting your niece was as tear filled as could be. The guilt of missing everything, you and your sister had always talked about being there for one another. You knew it was out of your control. But you could have tried to leave the island a whole lot sooner than you did. Granted it did take you awhile to understand how the changes in the seasons affected the waves.
"Are you ready?" Your dad asked, he was already dressed in a business suit. You had been for a while the one to take over your dad's business when he retired. The original plan was to finish college and then take over. But with everything that happened you didn't know where to stand. You weren't sure if that was still the plan. Six days since being back home and you still felt so, lost.
"Do I have to go?" You were in a suit as well. Matching the one your dad had.
Your dad sighed softly going into your room to stand behind you. You were looking at yourself in the mirror. You were healing nicely and quickly. Your cheeks filling in with all the food your mom had cooked. No longer looking hollow. He couldn't imagine how hungry you had been.
"It's up to you buddy. If you're comfortable enough. We could go or we can stay here and watch some Harry Potter. You know they made a game about Hogwarts."
"Really?"
He chuckled at the excitement in your eyes. He will always see you as his little girl. The amount of times he cried alone in your room, holding the stuff Curious George bear that you had refused to throw away. He reached over and fixed your crooked tie.
He could ditch the business party. He was boss after all. What he says goes.
"You know what let's go to the store buy a ps5 and we will play the game together."
*
Being back home after a year of being gone was a bit rough. Being back for thanksgiving break to be with her mother. One thing she had yet to do was something that she hadn't done in a whole year.
"Hey you okay?" The feeling of heavy hairy arm being wrapped around her shoulder. Pulling her attention away from the direction of your house. She hadn't spoken to your family in a year. A part of her felt guilty for stopping. But her boyfriend who was friend at first, had said it would be for the best. He had said she'd never move on if she never did. And in a moment of weakness, she stopped.
"Yea Frankie I'm fine. I have to go somewhere. I'll be right back okay?" With quick kiss she left her house before he could say anything.
It had been a year since she last saw your tombstone.
*
Parking her car, and walking the rest of the way. Only for her body to freeze in place. Your tombstone was gone. The patch of dirt was still fresh. The flowers she had dropped. The same sinking feeling of losing you came back.
"Excuse me where's the tombstone that was here." The gardener who was taking out over grown weeds stopped what he was doing to look at the brunette.
"Uh I heard from one of the workers. They were moving and took their daughter with them. I'm sorry miss that's all I know."
Moving? She picked up the flowers and rushed to her car. She needed to get to your parents house. The drive there was fast. She may have ran a stop sign or two. Yes, she may have started dating now. Mindy had pushed her to say yes to Frankie. She knew Mindy wanted what was best for her. And she won't deny that she did have fun with Frankie. He was sweet, a bit of a douche but sweet nevertheless.
Her car screeched at the sudden break. The 'for sale' sign was front and present.
Why would they move?
*
Being in a new house was nice. There was a big pool and hug backyard. A week since you been rescued. Your new room was much bigger than the one you had before. You had been building the courage to call Tara. When you finally did call the call never went through meaning this number was no longer in service.
You didn't know how else to reach her. Just tell them you were okay. That you were alive. But the more you thought about it. Remembering the picture you saw, they looked so happy. Did you really want to crash back into their lives, by all off sudden coming back from the dead.
"Honey, I have to go to work. You okay-Can I go with you?" You asked before your dad could finish his sentence. With a smile he nodded. Not caring that you were dressed casually. He was just excited to see you back in the office with him. He remembers clearly how you used always follow him around the office. Remembering how his little girl always sat on his chair. You used to be so small, now you were taller than him.
Curse his own tall genes.
*
Being back in the office had been as overwhelming as you had expected. Everyone greeting you, everyone looking at you like they've seen a ghost. It was all so overwhelming. But what really had you overwhelmed, had you feeling like you couldn't breath was when you saw the familiar brunette. She had looked as beautiful as the last time you saw her. She was breathtaking, she looked more mature.
Without really thinking about it your feet moved on their own accord. Halting, when a man took her hand. You heart breaking no matter how much she wish it didn't at the sight of her smile. A smile directed at someone else.
~
Tara was back in the building after a year of not setting foot in it. Being back her felt odd. But Frankie had an interview here. And he wanted her to come with. When she left what was once your house. She didn't know what to do. She tried calling your mom, your dad, your sister but none of them answered their phones. So she hoped that being back in your father's building. She'd run into him. Ask him why he took down your tombstone.
She felt Frankie take her hand. A small smile she towards him before looking away. She needed to find your dad. She looked around the lobby only for eyes to snap back to where she saw…you? Expect it couldn’t be. The person she could have sworn was you was walking away now.
“Tara? Tara where are you going?”
Ignoring his voice as she basically ran to where you once stood. It couldn’t be you. You were..dead. Gone. Watching the back of this person grow closer as they both turned into a less crowded hall way.
Her hand reaching forward to grab this persons arm. The moment this person turned around it had felt like all the air in her lungs had been punched out of her body. Her eyes refusing to believe who was standing in front of her. Those y/ec eyes that she had missed so badly. You were as beautiful as the day she last saw you at that airport. Those eyes that were now filled with tears.
“Y/n?”
You didn’t know what to say. You wanted nothing more than to pull her into a tight hug. Just like you had imagined. But now you weren’t sure if you could. You didn’t know your place in her life anymore. You didn’t have to say anything at the end. She had basically thrown herself at you. Her arm wrapping around your neck as she hugged you tightly. Her cries being muffled as she cried into your neck.
You lived in the moment. Forgetting the man she was with as you hugged her back just as tight. Even if this would be for the last time.
“You’re alive. When-when did you get back? Why didn’t you call?” She pulled away to look up at you. You looked different, skinner.
“Last week. I uh was on deserted island. Been there for the past few years. I-I tried calling. Your number wasn’t the same.” You reluctantly pulled away. When you saw from behind Tara that same man walking towards you and Tara.
Tara was still trying wrap her mind around what was happening. Feeling like this was all a dream. The way you looked lost and heartbroken made her want to just cry and pull you into another hug. To hug you. Kiss you. Her hands refused to completely let you go. She was confused on why you were letting go. Her hold on your hands was tight.
“I’m so sorry Y/n. If I would known I-Everything okay here babe?”
The confusion was no longer there. Now she knew why. The you looked away, this time completely letting her go. She knew exactly what you were thinking. That she didn’t love you anymore, which completely wasn’t the case. Her own eyes filled with tears. The guilt she had growing. Ever since agreeing to going out with Frankie it had felt like she was being unfaithful. She knew it wasn’t cause at the time she didn’t know you were still alive.
Seeing the hurt and heart broken look on your face (that you were trying to hide) brought that guilt back in bigger than before. Your eyes finally hers. And she saw the acceptance, the forced smile. The tears you were trying to blink away.
“It’s okay Tara. It’s okay.” It was all you could say. Hoping your voice didn’t give away that you wanted nothing more than to cry. With a small nod. You dug into your pocket. Taking out the pocket watch. The watch you had refused to go anywhere with out. You turned around and walked away.
She watched you walk away before looking down at the scratched up pocket watch. Opening the watch. Seeing the familiar picture. Except now it was faded. The picture becoming blurry. All the memories flashing in her head. The love she had for you was still there. Still here. Had grown more and more even when she thought you were dead. She still loved you.
You. It always had been you.
No one else.
“Tara?”
Her eyes looked back at Frankie. “I’m sorry Frankie. I can’t do this.” It was all she said before she ran to catch up to you. She was not going to let you go. Not bothering to look back as she tried to find in the crowd that had quickly filled the lobby. She knew it was the lunch hour, she needed to find you.
She was quick to step on top of the receptionist desk. Ignoring her commands to get down. She scanned the room seeing your figure getting closer to the front doors.
“Y/N WAIT!!” She didn’t care that the voice echoed through out the big room. It grabbed your attention along with everyone else in the room. She jumped down the desk and the crowd quickly parted. You were on the other side. Eyes red from trying to hold in your tears. Quick to get to your side. Stopping directly in front of you.
“I love you. Only you. No one else.”
“But you looked hap-I could never be happy without you. I don’t love him.”
“Are you su-” You were cut off by the pair of lips you had dreamed of. The feeling of her lips on yours was like kissing her for the first time. Your arms wrapping around her body, bringing her closer.
You no longer felt the dreadful feeling of loss. No longer did you feel lost. You felt complete.
Whole once again.

Leaving the bathroom, you joined the rest of your team in the lounge area. As you entered, you couldn’t help but notice Sam without a shirt, your eyes lingering on his defined abs longer than you had intended. He caught your gaze, shooting you a playful smirk.
As you broke eye contact, you made your way to Bucky. “By the way, how is the new Cap?” Sharon directed her question over to Sam.
“Don’t get me started,” Bucky mumbled, answering for Sam. You tensed as Sharon walked over, carrying on their conversation and sitting next to him on the small couch. Their conversation turned into white noise in your mind while you watched them sitting close together.
You didn’t realize you had been holding your breath, as Sharon stood up to make herself a drink, you released it with a sigh. Seizing the opportunity, you quickly sat in her previous spot, itching closer to Bucky. He draped his arm over the back of the couch. You listened intently to Sam and Sharon’s discussion about the Power Broker, flinching slightly when you felt Bucky’s fingers start to play with the ends of your hair.
You both sat watching and listening to the deal they made, offering leads for a pardon.
~
Upbeat music played as the crowd cheered and danced around the artwork. Your anxiety heightened as you watched them wave drinks around in their hands, so close to the priceless work. Madripoor was a crazy place, especially since you found yourself laughing and having fun with Zemo.
After a few moments of dancing with Zemo, you felt a pair of hands place themselves on your hips. Lost in the moment, you didn’t bother to check who it was and began swaying along with them. It wasn’t until your eyes met Bucky’s from across the room that you realized it might be someone else. The intensity in his gaze sends a thrill through you. Instead of stopping, you let a mischievous smirk play on your lips and gave him a wink.
After a few minutes of dancing with strangers and by the tightness of his jaw, frustrating Bucky, you decided to start regrouping with him, Sam, and Zemo in case Sharon got any information.
Bucky didn’t say one word to you as you looked at the art, or when Sharon came back with a lead, and he never said a word on the way to depot.
~
After taking the comm from Sharon, you entered the shipping container with Bucky, Sam, and Zemo. You stayed at the door with Bucky as Sam and Zemo inspected the inside. His jaw tensed every time you glanced up at him.
“Bucky…” You tried to get his attention, but as his gaze snapped down to you his nostrils flared. A telltale sign for you to either watch what you say or be quiet. You chose the latter as you began following the men further into the container up to a science lab.
You stood quietly as Sam spoke to the Doctor, your eyes surveying the lab for any other clues, that was when Sharon’s voice blared in your ear. “Guys, we have company.” Sharing a glance with Sam, your eyes having a private conversation. Once he nodded, you bolted back out of the container to find her.
Her grunting was the first sound you heard, rushing towards it you helped her to knock out the rest of the bounty hunters. “Feels like old times, huh?” you quipped, a reference to the times you fought together while working at S.H.I.E.L.D. She didn’t get a chance to reply before more bounty hunters showed up.
After getting the last of who was currently around, you and Sharon ran back into the container towards the men. “Guys, we’re seriously outta time here,” Sharon shouted towards them as you reached the lab.
You yelped at the sound of a gunshot, Bucky rushed toward you, blocking your view of the scene that had unfolded seconds before. “Keep your eyes on me,” he mumbled, his voice only loud enough for you to hear. Doing as he said, you locked your gaze with him as your heartbeat raced.
Suddenly, you were pushed to the ground, Bucky’s body weight on top of yours as your ears rang, the temperature of the room heightened and sirens blared. Bucky pulled himself up, reaching out his hand to help you up from the ground too.
Scanning the room, you notice the liquids in the testing tubes start to bubble and whistle around you. “It’s about to blow!” you exclaimed, hurrying after Bucky as he guided the others. He swiftly assisted them back to their feet before he turned to usher you out the door.
Before you knew it, you were all once again in a shoot-out. Sam and Bucky fought over who was leading, shouting at each other about who was in the right. “It’s in every action movie!” Sam declared as he gestured around him to Bucky.
“He’s never seen an action movie!” You shouted back at Sam, defending Bucky, who had unmistakably exclaimed, as you all left the container, to go on his signal. Just then, another explosion erupted, and Bucky instinctively shielded you with his body, his protective nature over you kicking in.
“You alright?” He mumbled as the smoke cleared, locking eyes with you as the world behind him blurred into insignificance. At that moment, he was all you saw. You offered him a reassuring nod, murmuring a quick ‘yeah’ to him before you both shot your glances over to where the gunshots began again.
~
Back on the plane, you sat in silence, reflecting on the events of Madripoor. Gazing out the window, the conversation between Sam and Bucky faded as your thoughts took over. You couldn’t help but wonder how Steve would have handled the situation, and how things might have been different if he just stayed. Doubts crept into your mind about whether Natasha’s sacrifice had been worth it.
Just then, you felt the presence that reminded you why it was worth it. Towering over you, he watched as you remained fixated on the passing clouds.
“I’m still pissed,” he said quietly. Shrugging your shoulders in response, you tucked your knees closer to your chest. “But, you still need to get some rest.” And, with that, pulled you up from your seat. Taking your place, he gently guided you to sit on his lap. You didn’t resist, nestling into his chest as he traced soothing patterns on your outer thigh with his left hand. His right hand entangled itself through your hair.
“Is this really for me to rest, or for you?” You asked him, aware from the many nights spent together that he found it easier to relax and fall asleep with you as close as possible.
“Both of us, Baby,” he muttered softly. His voice was honest as he gently tightened his embrace, his breathing warm against your ear.
Sighing, you felt the tension in your body slowly melt away. His familiar touch and steady heartbeat calm your thoughts, making it easier to let go of the day's chaos.

Inspired by the latest Reductive Audio:
Lil useless facts about my fav boys/listeners. No hate if I didn’t include your fave, I was making my list off memory and am just now realizing I missed like… three entirely series worth of people.
Vincent
He prefers silver jewelry over gold, but doesn’t care if styles are meant for men or women. He likes what he likes and will wear it. He’s a particular fan of dainty necklaces and women’s wrist watches, but likes men’s rings better.
Sam
He smoked when he was human. Lucky Stripes, since they’re cheap. It was a bad habit he picked up when he was eight or so to cope with his home life. He lost the ability to be chemically addicted to nicotine when he was turned, but he still itches for a cigarette when he’s particularly stressed.
Alexis
She’s very jealous of Will’s attention. She gets twitchy when he’s paying attention to anybody else for too long. This results in spikes of her reckless and bad behavior. It started when Vincent was turned, then when he took in Porter, then when she turned Sam. The most recent was after the Inversion.
William
He cannot paint or draw to save his life. He’s followed five or six Bob Ross paintings, but they never turn out right. He can draw stick figures, but that’s about it. His penmanship is beautiful, though.
Porter
Will made him testify against his maker since Porter’s treatment was particularly brutal amongst Felix’s progeny. Porter didn’t want to, but he recounted every moment of Felix’s torture while being stared down by the man himself in front of the whole council. It was so damming that Felix invoked him to stop. That’s the moment that Porter still has nightmares about.
Lovely
Lovely is incredibly anxious around their human friends. They’re scared that they’ll lose control and hurt someone, even though they’re very well fed and haven’t shown any lack of control in the past. This results in a few months after the inversion that Freelancer thought they were dead, since they showed up on the casualty list.
Treasure
Their older brother is a humanborn freelancer. He’s an enforcer for the Department. They think that fits him well, since he was always sort of a bully growing up. Treasure themself is an investigative journalist who writes for an empowered newspaper. They were trying to get a table at the Monarchal Summit even before they met Porter, but that didn’t pan out.
Freddy
He played french horn in high school. He was pretty good, and was drum major in marching band his senior year. He threw up before every game because he was so nervous.
Bright Eyes
Singer/song writer. Y’all ever listened to the Mountain Goats??? That’s their shit. Slow moving acoustic guitar, songs about the most disturbing and distressing emotions humans are capable of surviving recorded on cassette. Singing at dead coffee shop open mics in the wee hours of the morning. Their voice is raspy and rough, but the texture just draws you into their even timber and perfect pitch. They’re a minor celebrity in Dahlia’s sad boy live music scene.
David
His hips and back hurt So Much all of the time. He figures out that it’s because he’s incredibly strong but not flexible in the slightest. An imbalance in those two factors can lead to a lot of pain. He starts doing yoga after the Inversion when it got really bad and it’s helped a ton. Plus, Angel does it with him, and he likes watching them bend into all of those poses in their tiny, skin tight shorts.
Asher
He keeps track of how much David weighs and makes sure he can comfortably lift and carry that much weight at the drop of a hat. At the end of every work out, he deadlifts David’s weight to make sure he can do it when already spent. He should have been carrying David after the Inversion, but he didn’t have the strength to do it even when not fucked up. He won’t let that happen again.
Milo
He needs reading glasses but refuses to wear them. He tried contacts but he can’t stand to put anything in his eye. So he just squints and struggles through. His phone’s text is blown up like a grandpa’s. David is so bothered that Milo won’t just… get glasses. He keeps passive aggressively offering to add Milo to their vision insurance plan.
Christian
He had a little crush on Asher in middle school that translated to teasing the shit out of him. Which, Asher being Asher, put him off and hurt his feelings. He’s well moved on but sometimes, when the sun catches Ash just right or he smiles that stupid, toothy smile, Christian mourns his own stupidity.
Arden
Desperately protective of Christian, especially after the Inversion. The first time Ash makes a light-hearted joke about Christian’s limp, Arden put his ass on the ground, despite Christian laughing at it.
Gabe
He drove a white Chevy Cameo with a red interior for most of his life. It was lovingly maintained, and since it’s such a rare model, he did all of the maintenance himself. After the crash, the truck was totaled. David still spent a few years trying to put it back together. He called it quits when he was working on the interior and found dried blood under the leather of the seats.
Angel
They have a small stuffed lamb that they’ve had since they were a baby. It’s beaten up, falling apart, and no longer the stark white it started out as. Lambie is kept in their bottom bedside drawer. They only pull him out when they can’t sleep. They were worried David would think it was weird, but he actually finds this more endearing than he can put into words.
Babe
They didn’t start talking until they were three. Their parents thought that they were nonverbal, and had started teaching them ASL as an alternative. Then one day at the breakfast table, they opened their mouth and started spouting full sentences. They taught Asher ASL and the two of them use it when they want a private moment in public/when Ash is overstimulated. (Side note; David also knows ASL, he took courses in high school. Very useful, he loves it. He does not love it when watching them flirt nastily in front of him.)
Sweetheart
They’ve had anxiety since they were a very young child, and it’s always been an internally-sourced thing rather than externally motivated. They recall the first time they ever got in trouble at school (first grade, for pushing a boy who had been tugging on their hair all through recess). They remember the first time they got a B (fifth grade, on a math test they studied for for hours). Their parents had high expectations, but Sweetheart was having panic attacks from the age of three. Definitely something ~chemical~ going on there.
Darlin
They feel pack bonds incredibly strongly. Their body reacts physically when someone in the pack is threatened or hurt, without them even having to think. They shiver when Sam calls them ‘mate.’ When David says something in his lovingly dubbed ‘alpha voice,’ they can’t help but listen. They knew Gabe was dead before they got the call. They thought Ash was dead during the Inversion because they felt David’s dread through the bond so strongly.
Avior
He’s unnerved by human’s tactile nature. Being in a body is strange for him, and he prefers Aria to Elegy (at least before meeting Starlight), so touch is an extreme sensation for him. Humans touch so much. He’s not opposed to it when it’s someone he knows, but handshakes are the bane of his existence.
Starlight
Halloween is their favorite holiday. They start decorating for it in August. They plan elaborate, complex costumes and parties. They desperately want to move into a house so that they can set up scary decorations and shit in their yard and hand out candy to trick-or-treaters. Avid lover of the Spirit Halloween animatronics. They go to Halloween Horror Nights every year.
Camelopardalis
He’s trained himself to use the human terms for things (ex: terra or earth instead of elegy) since some in the Department don’t like it when daemons use their terms. It means that he gets weird looks from other daemons when he talks to them. It’s an alienating feeling for sure.
Vega
He’s never tried human food. He never saw the appeal. What he doesn’t know is that he would absolutely Love dark chocolate if he tried it. He likely will never know.
Warden
Avid reader of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle comics. Just the comics, though. They don’t have an apartment in Elegy, but they do have a small storage unit where they keep their comics. They coalesced a few years before the comics starting their run, and for some reason, they just fell in love. Vega thinks this is silly and that they should be embarrassed, but they refuse to be.
Hush
He loves Popeye’s fried chicken sandwiches. Doc fed him one once and it blew his fucking mind. He won’t make them with magic, either, he insists that they don’t taste the same. Doc has started just getting gift cards for him to keep so he can get one whenever and doesn’t have to wait for them to give him money. He’s ravenous for those things.
Doc
They’re actually a warder, not a healer. Hush’s presence has encouraged them to refresh their healing knowledge, however. Even if he himself is difficult to hurt, he sort of invites chaos.
Morgan
He uses his foresight to see what the owner of his favorite little bodega down the street is going to have for breakfast every morning. It’s his little morning ritual and practice for his magic. He feels weird all day if he doesn’t do it.
Seer listener
Their sight is more potent and more clear than Morgan’s. They can give stark details, see full landscapes, and turn 360 deg in their vision and see the whole space. They also can hear what’s happening consistently, something that goes in and out for Morgan. He figures that they’re just more powerful than he is, something that makes them just the slightest bit uncomfortable.
Damien
Gets incredibly stressed on election days, whether for local, state, or national elections. He forces everyone he knows to vote, volunteers to shuttle people without cars, and has at times volunteered to be a poll worker. But elections make him anxious. He cares so much about the results. Huxley has recently instated a post 9pm ban on watching the news on election nights so that Dames will actually sleep and not stay up all night stressing.
Huxley
Does not eat beef. Not for religious reasons, but because of the impact of beef consumption on the environment. He’s about one step away from a full vegetarian, he just likes chicken and is concerned for his protein and vitamin intake. This is difficult for Damien, who loves nothing quite so much as a rare steak.
Lasko
He was forced to take piano lessons as a child. He hated it, but took them up to the point he left home. He’s still very good, and did get peer pressured into showing off at a random guitar center once while out with the D.A.M.N. crew. He nearly died of embarrassment.
Gavin
He has a collection of very pretty rosaries that he uses as jewelry. He is not religious, and if asked, cannot describe what a Catholic is to you. He likes to wear them around his neck, dipping over his body since his shirts always cut down to his navel. It makes people gasp and blush, which is his favorite effect to have on somebody. His fav one has beads made of mother of pearl and a little, golden crucifix on the end.
Freelancer
They love cheap Chinese buffets. They claim that, the lower the health rating, the better the taste. Their desire for krab rangoons is strong enough to pull them from the comfort of their home at 2 in the morning if the fancy strikes. Damien in particular is horrified by this, and keeps offering to cook them some actual Chinese food.
Dear (Lasko’s listener)
An all star volleyball player in high school and college. They were a setter, and took their team to nationals all four years of high school. They are on the starting line up all through college. When it gets brought up in their trip that Damien plays casually, they said they did too. And then absolutely creamed him.

Steph Catley x teen reader- struggling
Being called up for home World Cup at a young age was bound to get you limelight and bring more fame to your name but no one told you how stressful it would be having to play, train and go to school.
When you woke up for training one morning your muscles felt a bit more stiff then usual so you decided to head to the physios before training to get them massaged. However when you arrived and told them what was wrong you simply got waved off as they said there were bigger problems to deal with at the minute.
The rest of training was not fun for you to say the least. Every tackle, every kick hurt your muscles and when you tried bringing it up again they said you were being dramatic and you should continue training. So you did. A couple of the girls noticed something was wrong and came to ask you about it but you were so annoyed that the physios weren’t listening to you and doing their job that you waved them off and didn’t realize they were willing to listen to you.
When the rest of the team had an off day you were stuck going to school which was tiring especially since all the kids at school were so infuriating to the point you were skipping classes to avoid coming into contact with them. They would make snark comments about you or try butter you up to try meet the rest of the Matilda’s and when you refused they would call you names and make you seem like a bad guy which in the long run made no one want to talk to you. But after the day you had yesterday everything was setting you off so when some girl came up to you and was talking about you like you weren’t standing right in front of her you had enough and punched her square in the nose. Of course she wasn’t happy with this and after her moment of shock she started wailing which caught the attention of teachers and you both got dragged to the principals office.
Ofcourse again no one was listening to you especially after the girl had changed the story to say that she had just asked you how training was yesterday when you lost it and punched her. The principal called Tony and Steph and Sam came to pick you up.
When they arrived at the school you were scared what they were going to say and what you were going to say to them but your principal beat you to it, telling them that you had punched her and you were suspended for a week. The whole car ride home was silent though if you strained your ears you would be able to hear the radio that was probably on the lowest setting before mute.
When you got back to the team hotel the whole team was waiting for you in the lobby including Tony and the staff and it was daunting to say the least. Mini stood at the front with her arms crossed and a disappointed look on her face which was worse then getting suspended in your mind. This whole camp you had been trying to prove to your team mates, Tony, the media that you didn’t have to be babied but this one thing has thrown all that hard work down the drain.
You walked with your head down, hood up behind Steph and Sam towards your team mates. They separated once they made it to mini which left you right in front of her with no one to help you. You looked up at her as you were about to start explaining what happened when she cut you off by lifting her hand up.
“I’m disappointed. This whole camp you’ve tried to prove yourself and tell all of us time and time again that you didn’t need to be babied and you could look after yourself. How do you think you’re going so far? I get that you don’t want to be at school but you’re 16! School is just as important as soccer and I know it must be tiring for you but that’s life sometimes” mini was furious with you and if you didn’t know by what she had just said you would know by the murderous look she was sending your way. You cowered under her gaze and brought your eyes back down to the carpet to hopefully blink away your tears without raising suspicion but of course ever so attentive Steph saw it.
Once mini had finished she sent you to the room you shared with the vice captain to think about your actions which was basically her saying you were in time out. You were so exhausted from everyone and everything even soccer was starting it feel more like a chore than how it used to. Everything was changing and you weren’t ok with it. You got changed into comfy clothes and wrapped yourself in many blankets on your bed before finally letting your tears fall. After awhile your day caught up to you and you fell into a deep sleep.
Steph was worried about you but she just couldn’t pinpoint what was wrong and she didn’t want to talk to you about it until she was fairly certain she knew what was happening so she could understand and help you better. When she’d heard about you punching the girl for her just asking about how training had gone she knew it was something deeper than she originally thought.

To be or not to be.
High school Wanda Maximoff x fem!reader.
A/N: I hope you enjoy and I apologize for any mistakes! Also comments, reblogs, shares and likes are super appreciated, thank you! :)
Translation: “Sestra.” Sister.
Word count: 1,034.
Masterlist.
So there Wanda was, standing by her locker talking to her friends when she spots you, her girlfriend, just a few feet away talking to your own friends looking as adorably cute as ever.
Which was completely unfair if you ask Wanda, since she is supposed to mad at you and you definitely shouldn't be looking as cute as you are looking right now because the only thing it does is cause longing in her heart for you, wanting to make up so she isn’t away from you for any longer.
But being the stubborn person that she is, the brunette does the only thing she allows herself to do. Which is continuing to stare at you from afar, bottom lip caught between her teeth as she nibbles on it.
As you stand laughing and joking around with your friends. You suddenly feel like someone is looking at you, so you glance around the halls, only for your eyes to land on your girlfriend who is staring at you intently from a couple of feet away. Lip between her teeth and a look you know all too well.
Which throws you off slightly if you’re being completely honest, since you were 100% sure Wanda has been mad at you for the past 5 days. But even in your confusion, you can’t help but shoot Wanda a soft smile and then proceed talking to Bucky, Peter and Sam again.
Wanda seeing your cute smile, can’t help but feel her resolve slowly break and after debating with herself for a good few minutes on whether or not to approach you. The brunette decides to take action and goes up to you.
“Hey, can we talk?” She asks once she’s in front of you.
You nod then turn to your friends, “I’ll catch you guys later alright?” You say, then walk away with your girlfriend.
Both of the girls make their way down the hall, when suddenly Wanda stops in front of the Janitors closet. Looking both ways to make sure no one is around, she opens the door.
“So what did you want to talk about?” You ask, but suddenly you’re yanked inside the closet by the hem of your shirt. “Wha-?” You begin but are cut off by Wanda’s lips basically attacking your own.
Wanda kisses you with such an intensity that when you pull back you’re left speechless, "wow," you breathe. “Not that I'm complaining, because I’m totally not, but what was that for?” You ask with a dopey smile, causing Wanda to glare at you with no actual malice behind her eyes.
“Oh no, don’t look at me like that!” Wanda says, arms crossing on her chest as she tries to remain serious, “because even though we did just make out inside this closet, it doesn’t mean that I'm not still mad at you, because I really am,” she frowns. “But you seriously just had to wear your glasses today, didn’t you? You know how I feel about you in glasses, it makes me weak!” She pouts, “Also the whole Star Wars shirt. Could you be any more nerdy? You look so cute and adorable that it hurts! You shouldn’t be able to break my resolve! Ugh!” The brunette rambles, arms thrown up in the air in frustration.
“I-I lost my contacts and Star Wars premieres this weekend, I’m sorry?” You say weakly, brows furrowed in confusion.
“I know, I figured as much,” Wanda sighs softly. “But you make it so hard to stay mad at you baby, and it’s beyond infuriating! So now I'm going to kiss you until l either feel angry again or we just go back to our day to day lives," the brunette says as she pushes you against the wall and cups your face to kiss you once again.
Both you and Wanda stay inside the closet making out for another good 10 minutes when you pull back slightly and say, “so, what's the verdict babe?”
Wanda rolls her eyes, a small smile on her lips as she says, “I'm no longer mad.”
“Okay good. So can we go back to hanging out with our friends?” You ask and Wanda nods.
As both girls walk out of the janitors closet, hand in hand and towards their friends, you stop walking for a moment to place a soft kiss on Wanda's forehead, the short brunette sighing happily as she moves forward to hug you close, an action that causes Natasha's voice to boom down the hallway.
“Hey Stark, you owe me 10 dollars!” The redhead exclaims.
“Damn it, you lovebirds! Couldn't you have waited 2 more days?” Tony yells back, looking at both you and Wanda disapprovingly, causing you to pull apart and walk the short distance to the group.
“Wait, what?” You ask with a laugh once you’re standing in front of your friends.
“We were all betting to see how long you'd stay mad at each other. The majority of the group said 1 or 2 days, I said 5 and Tony said 7. So I win!” Natasha boasts, with a happy smirk.
“Okay, how about this! Bonus round, did Wanda cave or did Y/N actually do something to get out of the dog house? Another 10 bucks says it was Y/N,” Carol says.
“No way, it was definitely my sestra,” Pietro chimes in with a smirk.
“Nope, Y/N!” Steve exclaims.
“Nah, there’s no way, it was totally Wanda!” Clint exclaims.
“Wow, I'm glad our problems amuse you all,” Wanda deadpans with an eye roll.
“So since Tony and I were actually the closest, this is between us two and my money is on Wanda caved, what about you Tony?” Natasha says.
“Y/N, did something.” Tony says, eyes squinting with certainty.
“So what is it?” All the friends exclaim at the same time.
You wince slightly while looking at Tony and say, “sorry Tony, but Wands caved,” and all through the hall there are loud echoes of both celebration and disappointment which causes you to slightly grin.
“Nice, now pay up, playboy,” Natasha smirks, hand stretched out towards Tony.
“Damn you, red,” Tony grumbles as he hands Natasha a 20 dollar bill.

(Insert disclaimer here that I'm really not trying to judge or decide if there is "one person obviously wrong" in this interaction, because i'm here to enjoy the MESSINESS and the ANGST of humanity, i'm eating the delicious food and drama provided to me)
The thing is, on the one hand, Sam is completely within his right to set that boundary with Alice - not being comfortable talking about his new building relationship with his ex is like, yeah, a very normal thing to be uncomfy about, there is nothing irreasonable about him asking Alice to back off about prying into it, and Alice should be able to respect that;
on the other hand, if they are friends, and they truly seem to be friends (Sam affirms they're friends! And I believe it after the 13 episodes we saw of them!), AND Alice is the one who reached out to help Sam out of a very bad mental (and probably financial, by that point) situation, helping him get a job, then, yeah, the word professional used in that context is NOT the good word to use at all, and obviously Sam realizes that, and obviously that's what really gets to Alice, beyond the new boundary trying to be established.
At the same time, Alice is clearly digging to get more infos and Trying to be the Cool Friend while being somewhat masochistic about it, since by now it's plain to see she does have lingering feelings for Sam, and the way she goes about it is not always nice, so she's hurting both herself and Sam by pushing and pushing about it and not listening to Sam giving them both a out from that.
BUT ALSO, Sam saying "I know you're not happy about me and Celia" means that he knows that she's hurting herself each time she talks about it; means that he KNOWS that she still feels something for him that he doesn't anymore, and that means that this beautiful, warm, sweet, lovable, people-pleaser of a man has been purposefully using those feelings to get her to do something she didn't want to do literally three episodes ago, and with no shame at at all about it.
THE POINT IS. They're so MESSY. They KNOW EACH OTHER SO WELL. They LIKE each other. They're going to have SUCH A BAD FALLOUT ONE DAY AND ITS GOING TO BREAK BOTH THEIR HEARTS (and mine, while i cackle from the pain).
(oh, and yeah: "We dated in uni, I tried to help her after her parents died, then we lost contact" ??? What a summary, Samama. I'm sure NOTHING is hiding behind those lines.)
#tmagp spoilers#they make me a little bit insane#i was at the edge of my seat the whole last conversation#canon and sam are trying to gloss over their dating but i'm still absolutely certain they were almost married once#and nobody can take that away from me#also WHO ELSE WAS PERSUADED SAM HAD BEEN THE ONE REACHING TO ALICE FOR HELP#you know who sam and alice make me think about? two birds on a wire the song#the magnus protocol

i’d love to learn more about the melting pot au
To this anon and the anons who keep letting me infodump about melting pot, I love and appreciate you
Thinking about the restaurant kids right now.
Alexia obviously owns the restaurant so her kids are constantly hanging around the back room. Alessia waitresses there so Tesoro has a little table at the back to do her homework. Aitana's just come back to work after the untimely death of her friends so Estrella is going to grow up in that restaurant as well.
Also thinking about who knows each other (outside of relationships) and why.
Obviously the restaurant squad know each other because they work together
Ingrid, Caro, Frido and Magda all went to university together but Magda only really knew Frido and decided to stay at the university in Denmark where she met Pernille for the remainder of her degree.
Lucy met Ona after Ona was introduced as the new police recruit while Laura joined the school Keira works at. They've yet to tell Peanut and Bear they're breaking up but Pup found out by accident.
Alessia knows Mary and Jessie in passing because they all go to the same university that Magda and Pernille lecture at.
Ingrid runs her fashion empire with Frido as her cfo and Caro as her IT head while Mapi is Jenni's tattoo artist and is besties with Alexia (she gets to eat free at the restaurant which is very helpful with her five kids + Nena).
The firefighters include Leah, Katie and Caitlin with Lia as their mildly exasperated admin person who can't believe the fire station is still running. Jordan used to work at the firestation but decided it was probably a bit too dangerous for her when she had a near death scare and decided that she wanted to remain around for Bug.
Viv and Steph working for the same newspaper and eat lunch together while Viv complains about how Beth and Daan keep pretending to not be friends even though they're constantly dumping kids on each other while Ellie is being beaten up by their kids.
Mini and Clara being brought into the fold by Steph and are the two people in town that people go to when they've got problems.
Kristie and Sam being the couple that somehow just knows everyone and is always in on the gossip despite nobody remembering telling them anything. Rue is actually the one that keeps feeding them information but will deny it if anyone asks.
Marta being an old friend of Alexia's who probably does freelance consulting and when Mapi finds out that she's making eyes at Caro, she tries to meddle not knowing that Caro's already in deep for Marta.
Frida and Emma being the ones that most recently moved to town before Pernille and Princesse. Frida is a very old friend of Ingrid's who went to the same school as her but briefly lost contact when they went their separate ways for university. Emma obviously knows Alexia because she's the one that supplies all the bread and cakes for the restaurant and Squish comes along to drop everything off sometimes so she's kind of one of the restaurant kids as well.

One Drop, when What You Need is the Ocean.
Author: Baileys | Artist: sidewinder
Posting on Friday March 15
Cas disappears after leaving once again to help the angels. With God gone, Mary defected to the British men of letters, and the other major players all on their best behaviour, Dean tries to carry on as normal, hunt the things and save the people. But the longer time goes by without so much as a text, the more his worry spirals. Then, just when all hope is lost, like the supernatural yo-yo he is Cas is back. Only something or someone has siphoned off grace he didn’t have to spare. As they embark on yet another case together, it’s a race against time to stop whoever it is from finishing the job and removing Cas from Dean’s life for good.
Keep reading for a sneak preview!
“I thought you said no one died here?” They both step out of the Impala, grabbing their gear from her trunk. Dean follows Sam down the hill heading for the nearby woods lining the property.
“I said no one’s on record dying here.” Handing Dean a shovel, he has the nerve to wink.
Walking across the wet overgrown grass, Dean decides to spark up less work-related conversation. “So, you speak to Eileen recently?”
“Nope.” Sam charges ahead, “you talk to Cas?”
Dean stops dead in his tracks. It’s not the fact Sam would equate him and Cas as the same as him and Eileen, it’s that Cas has been radio silent for ten straight days now. “That’s not funny, man.” He manages to get out around the lump suddenly clogging his throat.
Something of his panic must come through in his words because Sam stops walking and turns around, lips pulling tight. “Sorry, I know you’re worried.”
“You must be too, right? I mean this isn’t like him.”
Another, more complex expression passes over his brother’s face and suddenly Dean doesn’t want to know what he thinks. “I mean, I talk to Cas, but honestly, unless there’s something major going down, I don’t see a few days without contact as a big deal.”
“Ten!” He shouts. “It’s been ten days Sam and nothing, I- I’ve sent him texts he hasn’t read, left messages he hasn’t picked up, this isn’t like him, he -”
“He’s probably just lost his phone -” Sam shrugs, placating at first but then he cuts himself off mid-sentence and stares pointedly at Dean. “How do you know he’s not picked up his messages?” He pauses for a response, but when Dean starts walking and keeps his head down, he draws his own conclusion. “Oh my god, you hacked his phone!”
“I had to!” Dean cries in outrage, waving the shovel above his head. “Hey, don’t give me that face! I needed to know.”
Sam does indeed give him ‘the face’, adding an eyeroll for good measure as they continue towards their vengeful spirit’s grave. “Next, you’ll be telling me you’ve put a tracker in it too.”
“No,” He looks quickly away, keeping a steady pace, “but you are the second he comes back.”
“Dean, I am not invading Cas’ privacy just because you’re a controlling asshole.”
“What if he agreed?” He asks.
“I’d tell him he doesn’t have to, because I know he’ll say yes to anything you ask.”
“Oh, he would not.”
Reaching the graveyard, Sam tugs on his arm and stops them both, making Dean face him. “Do you know where his phone is now?”
Dean manages to feign obliviousness for all of five seconds before blurting the answer. “Maine. It pinged off a cell tower in Fort Foster three days ago.”
Raising his shovel and making the first indent in the soil, Sam looks over at Dean, “So we heading to Maine as soon as we’re done here?”
Dean smiles, his first real smile in ten days.

Tara carpenter/ Fem!reader
Summary: part 2 of you get kidnapped by ghost face
Warnings: sad reader but happy ending
WC: 3.2K
Authors note: sorry for mistakes. Enjoy :)
**
The healing process was a difficult one. Your parents had flown from California and almost forced you back on a plane to go back home. You almost complied but you knew you couldn't leave your friends. Not when they were also healing. It's been two weeks since the attacks. Two weeks since you got kidnapped by ghostface. Two since you lost your leg.
Chad was still in recovering but they he will be given his discharge papers today. You were also getting your discharge papers today. You have been going to physical therapy for the past two days. Your legs still hurt, it was still healing. It was something you haven't gotten used to.
You found out that Anika had been stabbed and was injured badly, but she was okay. She had hit her head hard and had developed a stutter and was 87% blind in her left eye. Mindy had been helping her with anything and everything. You were happy that your friends are doing alright.
But you, you were struggling quite a lot. You didn't show it. You didn't want your friends to worry. But you were, you didn't have two legs anymore. Walking was hard, every step you took, hurt. Having to walk with just one leg was, difficult. The crutches you used hurt your armpits. You hated it, you weren't scheduled for the prosthetic leg fitting until your stump was fully healed.
"Hey do you need help?"
At the soft voice you looked up to see a fresh clean Tara. You had made her go home and get clean, to get some rest in her actual bed. She didn't want to but with the help of Sam and your mom, confirming that you wouldn't be alone, she agreed. She had only been gone less than two hours at most.
Tara had been with you from the moment you woke up. She had refused to leave, having Sam or Mindy bring her a chance of clothes with her toiletries. She would shower in the hospital bathroom connected to your room. She could see how this changed you. You were depressed and she could see it. It broke her heart that she couldn't do anything to help you get better. She had tried just about anything and everything to help you.
With you being discharged today, you were rolled into the bathroom and with the help of your mother. You showered. Your mom had also tried, it broke her to see her only child like this. "But look at me mom. Who would like someone like me now?" The words rang through you moms head as she held you in the bathroom while you cried. It was the first time she watched as her daughter fall apart since the kidnapping. She had cried with you, all she could do was hold you while you wept.
After her shower and the emotional break down, your mom rolled you into the room and helped you sit on the bed in your under garments. She had to leave to to take care of the discharge papers. You had slid on a hoodie and now was just struggling with your sweatpants. That was when Tara had come back in.
On the way back in Tara had seen your mom, and your mom had told her that you weren't okay. That you were struggling. When Tara had seen how puffy and red your eyes were she could truly see how much.
"Uh yeah the pants leg is too long." You mumbled breaking the eye contact. You had hoped the redness of your eyes had faded by now. The last thing you wanted was Tara to be worried. You had not spoken about the kiss you two shared. You had never felt so deeply for someone. But now you were not so sure. Not about your feelings, never about that. But if Tara still felt the same. Or if she even felt the same. For all you know maybe she kissed cause of the moment. Your insecurities were at all time high. You didn't have it in you to talk about it.
Tara kneeled in front of you taking the hair tie she had around her wrist to roll up the pants up to your stump. Giving it space before tying it, so it wouldn't drag. "There you go." She spoke in a gentle voice. "Are you ready, I have all your favorite foods and movies ready for you at home." She offered you a smile, and she only got a weak one in return.
"Thank you Tara. You didn't have to."
"Hey. I wanted to. Now come on, I'll help you on the wheel chair." She stood up and rolled the wheel chair next to your bed, putting the breaks on so it wouldn't move.
"But I'm heav-I'm strong." She flexed her thin arms with a bright smile on her face as she faced you. Her smile only growing when she heard you chuckle. "You know I have been working out with Chad."
"Yea that was before every thing happened."
"Details. Now come on." She waved you off. She moved to stand in front of you. Holding out her hands. "My lady." Her dimples were on full display and she knew how much you loved them. And she will be using them for her advantage. It wouldn't be the first time.
At the sight of your red ears she beamed victoriously, she took your hands and pulled you up slowly. Letting you gather your balance. "Alright now hands on my shoulders." You did as she said, her hands moving to your waist. "Now I'm going to turn you, so your back faces the seat."
When you were finally sitting on the chair she fixed the foot plates, you moved your own leg to be placed on it. Your left leg moving as well only to stop when you realized that you didn't have to.
"Sorry." Your smile had faded into a frown.
Tara noticed the change right away. She's seen the way your left would move when you'd try to move, like you were trying to move both legs. "It's okay. Now your mom said to meet her out in front. That she'll pull the car up front. Sam's with her. Come on."
*
You were now sat on the reclining chair, your wheelchair folded and leaning on the wall. Everyone was seated around the living room watching Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and enjoying Chinese food. It was your favorite movie and your favorite food. But you just couldn't seem to focus.
"D-do want s-some e-ggg rrrolls Y/nn?" The gentle voice of Anika brought you out of mind. Anika had worn dark shades when she's out but when she was in the safety of the house she chose to take them off. She was insecure of how her eyes looked but some reassurance from Mindy and her friends she knew they would never judge for it. Her eye had a deep long scar over her eye and cheek. The scar sometimes prevented her damaged eye to open but when it did you were to see how red it was and it but off white cause of the lost vision.
"No thanks Ani." You offered her a small smile, you didn't really have an appetite. You plate was still full. You had taken a few bites but you couldn't finish it. You wanted to go to your room but you didn't want to leave them. Your mom had been here as well but you told her that she needed rest, so with some begging you convinced her to get some rest in her room. With her being back she asked, more like demanded everyone to stay in her house. It was more of a mansion with plenty of room for everyone. The group agreed, seeing as the apartment was still a crime scene.
Your crutches were leaning on the chair. With a sigh you stood up on your leg the crutches under your arm pits. Tara was by your side the moment you moved. Trying to help but shook your head.
"I'll be in my room." You mumbled softly to the group that had paused the movie the moment Tara had stood up to be by your side. Tara moved to follow you after your first shaky step, but you stopped. "Alone Tara just for a moment, please." With that you went towards your room closing the door behind you.
Everyone stayed quiet for a second Tara stood there battling herself, a huge part of her wanting to go to your room to comfort you. But the other part was wanting to respect your wishes.
"She's taking this ha-No shit Mindy she was tortured by her so called best friend, Quinn someone we all trusted for three days and half. They took her leg, but with Ethan she clicked with him. You saw how they were, Ethan betrayed her in the worst possible way. I don't know what to do. I'm worried about her I can't I can tell she's depressed bu-Hey Tara deep breaths." Tara had been so distracted that she began to hyperventilate. Her breathing coming out in a wheeze. Sam stood in-front og her with her inhaler in hand. Once she calmed her breathing she buried her face in her sisters shoulder and cried.
"It'll be alright Tara. She just needs time."
"I-I'll go t-talk t-to her." Anika stood up from her seat, Mindy moving quickly to assist her girlfriend. Anika stopped her with a hand on Mindy's shoulder. "I-It's okay b-babe I-I got th-this."
Tara figured anyone who would be able to understand you better would be Anika. Cause in the end you both lost something physically that was permanent.
*
You had successfully changed out of your pants into some loose shorts. You were looking down at your stump when you heard a soft knock on the door. With a sigh you called out letting who ever was on the other side of the door permission to enter. You were a bit surprised to see that it wasn't Tara but Anika.
"H-Hey is it o-okay if w-we t-talk?" She spoke at the gentle voice she always used when she wanted to have a serious talk.
"Sure Anika, come and take a seat." You patted the spot next to you. You tried to cover your legs with a blanket but Anika took your in hers.
"I'mm just g-going to get to th-the point, o-okay?"
You looked at her confused, not understanding where she was going with this talk.
"D-Do you th-think I'm un-undeserving of l-love c-cause of w-what happened to m-me?"
"What?! Of course not. Why would you say that?" You asked in disbelief and a bit defensive. Worried that someone said something. They haven't been back to classes yet, the professors giving the friend group extensions on their assignments for a week.
"BBut s-some ppeople w-would consider th-this-" She pointed to her scars on her face. "N-not attractive. I'm n-not completely blind Y-Y/nn. I s-see th-the way ppeople look at mmme. E-Even with the sh-shades on."
You opened you mouth to ask for names but she stopped you.
"I w-was scared that nnight, so sc-scared. I rrremember trying t-to cross th-the ladder i-into D-Danny's apartment. And th-then the llladder st-started mmmoving. I was a-already losing mmy st-strength to hold f-from the w-wound. Th-then I rrremember f-falling and th-that's it. N-Next th-thing I kn-knew I was wwaking up in the hospital with MMindy and mmy p-parents in th-the room. She told mme w-who the k-killers were. I-I would have nnnever guessed it'd b-be them. W-We trusted th-them and it c-cost us. S-Some mmmore than o-others."
You held Anika's hand a little tighter. She hadn't spoken of that night that she and group were attacked in the apartment. You wanted to know what happened that you remember Ethan mocking you about your friend group being shorter.
"I rremember waking up s-so s-scared. E-Everything was h-hazy and everything h-hurt. But th-then I r-realized I-I couldn't see f-from one eye and th-that I couldn't f-feel mmmy entire l-left side of mmy face. I mmade the mmmistake of asking MMindy for a m-mirror and when sh-she wouldn't l-listen to mme, I th-threaten to b-break up with h-her. N-Never seen her mmmove so q-quickly." She chuckled tearfully, wiping her tears with one hand. You chuckled as well, eyes glimpsing with tears. Anika speech had gotten better with time. The doctors had the her stutter would most likely not be permanent. And with speech therapy Anika too it was surely help. You sometimes could see how the stutter would make Anika feel. Impatient with herself. But everyone here had nothing but time. Never rushing her.
"I-I felt sso i-insecure about mmy face, th-that I cried ff-or hours on e-end. I-I had convinced mmyself th-that MMindy was g-going to b-break up with mme cause of how u-ugly I looked-Hey you are not ugly." You spoke sincerely. Making sure she knew that you were being honest.
"Yea I kn-know. I mmean it took a-a l-little c-convincing but you w-wanna kn-know how I-I over came the nnnegative thoughts?" She spoke to you in way that just made you want to cry.
"How?"
"With mmmy friends a-and family. You guys. Don't get mme wrong I st-still get th-them from t-time to t-time but MMindy always is th-there to push th-them away with her r-reassurance th-that she still loves mmme." She held your hands in a gentle but tight grip.
"N-Now look at mmme and tell mme wh-why you th-think you d-don't deserve to b-be loved."
You looked down at your stump. You weren't sure about the true answer now that Anika had you thinking. Anika was for sure the wise one of the group.
"You l-love her Y/nn. I kn-know you do a-and it's time for y-you to rrealize that Tara l-loves you b-back just as mmuch. Talk to her. Sam s-says you and Tara shared a-a kiss while she w-was fighting f-for her life." She giggled a little remembering over hearing Sam and Tara talking about the kiss you and Tara shared.
"I don't w-want you ssad Y/nn. We all l-love you just th-the way you a-are. Wether th-that be with two l-legs or one. Un-Understand?"
With tears streaming down your cheeks you sniffled and nodded. Anika bringing you into a very much needed hug.
"N-Now I'll go g-get Tara sso you b-both can t-talk. Okay?"
"Okay, thank you Ani for the talk."
"A-Anytime."

You didn't wait long for Tara to come in the room. You had stayed in the same spot when Tara walked in. She stood by the door way unsure if she could sit on the bed.
“Come sit Tar I don’t bite.” You joked earning a smile from the shorter woman. She was sat by in a matter of seconds. You wanted to just spit out like Anika did with you. Just ask Tara.
“Did you mean it?” You asked the question before you could chicken out. You had to know. “And please be honest.” You wouldn’t be able to handle it if she lied to you about the kiss.
“If you’re talking about that kiss, then yes. I meant it. I love you Y/n. Have since we were kids. You have been by my side through thick and thin. I’ll be here for you to wether it be as your best friend or, more. I’m in love you Y/nn and I hope you feel the same.” She with her usual confidence but with unsureness towards the end.
“Oh Tara, I’ve loved you since the first time I saw you. We were only what 10? You were always so tiny.” You gently nudged her shoulder, she laughed in return gently pushed you.
“Shut up. I’m super sized.” She took your hand in hers, intertwining your fingers together. Bringing your hand up and kissing the back of your hand.
“I love you Y/n. More than before, cause I thought I lost you Y/n.” Tara’s eyes filling with tears, remembering when the ambulance made it to the theater, how they had to push her to the side to get to you. How Sam had to physically hold her back when they took you away. The thought of never seeing you again had her in a panic.
“No one knew where you were. I didn’t know, that fucker texted me pretending to be you and I didn’t even fucking realize. How stupid can I-Hey it’s not your fault. Ethan knew me, he knew how I was with you. He fooled all of us.”
“It’s not your fault.” You continued, part of you wanted to forget the three days you were captured. Wanting to put those days behind you and never look back. But you knew you couldn’t and it wouldn’t be healthy.
“I don’t want to waste time anymore. If you’ll have I wa-” A pair of lips cut you off. This time the kiss was slow, filled passion, so many emotions were poured into the kiss. With her hands cupping your cheeks, yours were placed on her hips. You felt her shudder into the kiss as she tilted her head into the kiss. You brought her closer into your embrace, your heart racing in your chest.
Letting out a sigh of happiness. You couldn’t help the smile that formed on your lips. You felt her smile on return causing both of you to pull away, forehead connecting, she pulled away to look down at you. She had moved to be on her knees while you still sat making her a bit taller.
“There’s that smile. I missed seeing it.” She leaned down to quick but gentle kiss on your lips.
“Lay with me.”
The two of you laid on your bed. Your head resting on her chest. Hearing her rapid heartbeat. It was fast but you could also hear it slowing down into a calmer rate.
She looked down at you with a soft look. Taking in to ur relaxed facial expressions. She hadn’t seen you like this since before everything. She pulled you closer to her, remembering where every wound was at making sure didn’t harm you in any way.
She had you.
You were home. Safe and sound.
She’d never let you go, again.

🅦hαt 🅞ncє 🅦αs 🅜ínє (pt.2)
(Dean Winchester x Reader)
(Part 1) (Part 3)
𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: After a phone call from Jodi, Dean decides to go see you in hopes to make things up to you. You debate on whether or not he should know about his daughter.
𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: None other than a mention of some spoilers
The sound of one of Dean’s Black Sabbath cassettes rang through the Impala as he focused on the road. Jodi had been in contact with Y/N? Why didn't Y/N reach out to him? Or even Sam?
That phone call from Jodi was unexpected and Dean still didn't know all of the details of everything. All Dean knew was that Y/N was working at some Walgreen's several towns over from Jodi and now she was living with Jodi after they reconnected while Jodi was on a hunt one weekend.
"Dude, why are you so tense about this?" Dean heard his little brother ask. You know for a guy that's supposed to be the smarter one of the duo, he definitely had his blond moments once in a while. But then again, Dean hadn't had the time to lead on how worked up about you leaving he really was.
"It's just.. when she left it wasn't exactly on the best terms, okay? Let's leave it at that." Dean answered and Sam raised a brow. It was a look from the younger brother that seemed to say 'maybe we shouldn't leave it at that' but Sam knew it was an issue between you and Dean and honestly- the younger hunter wasn't sure he would even know how to help fix things if Dean told him everything.
"Well maybe that's why Jodi called you in the first place. I mean it wasn't a secret to anyone that she cared about you. Maybe Jodi thought that now would be a good time for you to talk about whatever that fight was. I mean it's been a year, and I think that's a long enough time without reaching out."
Dean listened and tightened his jaw. It was a little annoying how much sense Sam made sometimes. It was partly the reason why Sam ended up being the one taking on these trials anyways, and Dean still hated the idea because in his mind it was his job to keep Sam safe - even if they were in their 30's.
"Yeah, I guess you have a point." Dean finally replied but his gaze was still fixed on the road ahead of him to get to Jodi's.
~
"You asked him to come here?" You asked Jodi with a bit of an upset tone. You weren't prepared to see Dean, and a part of you didn't want to after what happened when you left. He wanted you gone and you wanted to stay away.
"Y/N you need to be real about this. It's been a year and you need to talk this out. Plus, don't you think Dean has a right to know about his daughter? He's already lost three months with her." The sheriff pointed out as she sat next to Y/C/N and watched her play while she was on her tummy.
"Dean was the one that said he never should have brought me along. And even then maybe he shouldn't know about Y/C/N. Not because I don't want him to - but because both of the boys have enough on their plates almost constantly. He couldn't handle having a baby around even he wanted her. It'll only add on to his stress and that's honestly the last thing he needs." You sat down with Jodi and your daughter.
"That's a little unfair though, isn't it? He deserves at least a chance. Having a kid causes stress to anyone whether they're a hunter or not. It's hard being a parent and it can be challenging and its frustrating. Trust me, I would know. But on the flip side, having a child brings so much joy. Their smiles give you a reason to go on. They'll make you laugh, make you cry, make you feel proud. I'm sure you've felt some of those things already as a new mom." You nodded as Jodi spoke and looked at your daughter.
"Don't you think Dean deserves the chance to feel all of those things too? Don't you think Y/C/N deserves to have a father in her life?"
You continued to listen and you started to think. You remembered a time when Dean would talk about walking away from hunting and how he tried that with Lisa and Ben. You remembered how he would think it would be impossible to retire and have that fabled 'Apple Pie' life again. Then you started thinking about your daughter. You knew she would be better off if she had two parents. At least you hoped that would be the case anyways.
You watched as Y/C/N lifted her legs a little and tried her best to get on all fours so she could crawl or at least sit up. She had that same exact look of determination that Dean gets on his face. You knew Dean would raise her up with Rock and Roll and Scooby Doo, and you knew she would be all for it.
"We'll just have to see how he even feels about all of it. Who knows what kind of chaos both the boys are going through. If Dean thinks he can handle having a baby around amongst all of everything then we can talk about it." You said after a few moments with your thoughts.
"How long do you think it will take for them to get here?" You glanced over at Jodi as she started getting up and she walked over to the coat rack to get her jacket.
"Well, I gave him the call last night around midnight our time. I wouldn't be surprised if he and Sam were on the way right after the call. So maybe they'll be here sometime this afternoon or this evening if they don't stop." Jodi replied as she finished putting on her jacket and got ready to go to the station.
Your heart nearly flipped at the idea of Dean being that eager to see you again. But you had to force yourself to remember the fight so you wouldn't get too excited. You couldn't afford to have your heart so eagerly on your sleeve for Dean Winchester again.
"I see. Well, can you think of anything you would want for dinner tonight? I was thinking about going to the store and picking up some groceries anyway." You tried to change the subject and Jodi just smiled and chuckled.
"Make whatever you'd like. But don't forget the pie for the boys." She said, knowing Dean would eat most of the pie rather than Sam.
~
The evening came and after you fed your daughter and gave her a bath, you put her to bed in her crib in your room and she was fast asleep. Now you were in the kitchen making dinner for that night since Jodi was on her way back.
'What do I say? How would I even bring her up? Maybe it can just wait a while. Maybe he wouldn't warm up to the idea of kids after all.' Your mind was going a mile a minute as you started making some pasta. It was something simple and low energy to make and you were grilling some chicken with it.
But the more you allowed yourself to over think about it all, the more you gave yourself a headache. Your stomach was churning with the wave of anxiety because it's been so long since you've seen the Winchesters. A part of you wondered if you should even be feeling this way.
After all, if Sam said you shouldn't have been brought along and if they thought you had been such a hindrance to them, then why should you even consider the hope of hunting with them again? You were a mom now and you were with Jodi so now you had help. You didn't need the boys - even if you desperately wanted to be with them again. Especially Dean.
You heard the door open and you assumed it was Jodi based off the laughter that you hear but you also hear more than just her footsteps. You hear two other sets of footsteps followed by an all to familiar voice.
"You should've seen the time when Sam was bringing some groceries to the bunker. He slipped and fell and the milk dropped on the stairs and practically exploded everywhere." Dean laughed and you assume the brothers were telling embarrassing stories about one another to catch Jodi up on their shenanigans.
"I swear I had a bruise on my back for like a month. And its not easy going down stairs with bags blocking your view of where you step." Sam said and rubbed the back of his neck, a little embarrassed to say the least. "Plus you should've seen Dean with the pie prank."
"A pie prank? What did you do, Sam?" Jodi asked with a chuckle as she took off her jacket and placed it on the coat hanger.
"It wasn't a prank, it was the work of Lucifer." Dean said with so much annoyance in his tone.
"It was more like a work of art, really," Sam said with a smile before speaking again, "Dean wanted a pie one night. Nothing too out of the ordinary about that because it's Dean. Well I got him some pie and while the rest of dinner was being cooked, I mixed some hot peppers in with the pie filling."
Jodi laughed and Sam joined in when he reminisced on the prank he played on his older brother, "He went through three bottles of water. I swear he has almost no spice tolerance."
"Not when its ghost peppers like what you mixed in the filling." Dean remarked but he cracked a grin nonetheless. It was a memorable moment for sure and it was some joy for Sam in the downtime of their constant hunting and world saving.
"Oh you boys. Even with all of the jobs you've got it's nice to know you two still have fun with each other once in a while." Jodi smiled as she started walking into the kitchen. She motioned for the boys to follow her and so they did.
"Smells good in here, Y/N. Whatcha makin'?" You heard Jodi ask and when you looked over you smiled at Jodi.
"Some chicken alfredo." You answered and that was when you saw Dean walking through the door with his brother.
You swore that your heart stopped that you saw Dean and both of you instantly locked eyes. He was just as handsome as the day you left. He was really there with his brother. What were you supposed to say to him first? But you knew that you needed to say something to both of them.
"Hey, guys. Make yourself at home." You said and turned around so you could break your gaze from Dean and focus on the meal so nothing could burn.
Jodi and Sam looked at each other and Jodi watched as Sam gave Dean a little nudge to go talk to you. Then, Jodi and Sam went to the living room so they could talk.
Dean looked over and he saw that the other two left, then he looked back at you. He gulped a little before he started to walk over. It was odd. Dean has faced monsters, demons, angels, and yet he was hesitating on a simple interaction. Then again, you held a special spot in his heart and the fact that he pushed you away was holding him back. You had to still be angry with him right?
"Y/N, I.. You look great." He said and you could tell that he was struggling with where to start.
"Thanks. You haven't changed much." You replied and focused on the stovetop. You heard the way Dean sighed before he carefully reached out and took a careful hold of one of your hands and took the utensil form you. Then he turned the burner down.
He looked down at you and you refused to meet his gaze at first. But he gave your hand a soft squeeze before he started speaking.
"Y/N, I think you know why I'm here. I wouldn't put it past Jodi to let you know I was coming." He said and you shrugged slightly before you slowly lifted your gaze up at him and you took your hand away from him.
"I knew you were coming. I didn't really ask why you would travel all this way." You answered and crossed your arms a little, trying so hard to stay guarded.
"You haven't thought at all about the last night we spent at that hotel when we fought? Haven't thought about the argument? Because I have and if I could take everything back then I would. And you aren't exactly making things easy by being stand offish." Dean said.
"Dean, you can't just come over one night and expect everything to be fine and dandy just because you feel bad about what happened. What you said really hurt that night. Your problem is that you just don't think before you open your damn mouth. I know I wasn't there for a lot in the beginning and when Cass first came onto the scene. I know I came into your lives a little late but I turned out to be a pretty damn good hunter. Me caring about you didn't make it to where I was in the way. It made it to where Sam wasn't the only one looking out for you when Cass wasn't around. You were the one that messed up. And boy, you messed up big time."
"Don't you think I know that? You're right, I don't always think before I speak. And I regretted what happened everything I said the second after I let it slip. And I regretted it ever since you walked out of that door, alright? But ever since I got the call from Jodi that you were with her, I knew I had to see you again to at lease apologize even if you wouldn't listen."
"Then show me that you regretted it. Show me how badly you wish you could have taken everything back." You dared as you looked at Dean. Dean didn't hesitate this time around and he backed you up against the counter.
He lifted his hand and cupped your cheek and started to lean closer and closer until...
You suddenly hear your daughter crying upstairs. You saw a change in Dean's eyes as he backed up from you a little. You thought your mind was racing before: it was nothing compared to this moment. What could possibly be going on in Dean's mind now?
"Y/N? Is there something you need to tell me?"
Thank you guys for reading!
Feel free to let me know what you think! The feedback really helps a lot! Planning for a part three soon! Hope you enjoyed!

tmagp 17 relisten notes!!
as always, tmagp and tma spoilers below the cut! hope you guys enjoy the breakdown :)
celia:
- she's been teleported to another road side, this time very close to a highway in oxford. she missed the play with sam and didnt have a way to contact him about it
- she wants to make up for missing the play by paying for their next date, and seems pretty genuine about her guilt and interest in him
- once the incident ends, she thanks the computer/chester for it. this could have been a sarcastic comment on her part, but it comes across as her acknowledging the case for what it is, and acknowledging that it is somehow curated for her. i think this is evidenced by her telling alice the incident wasnt very useful, implying she tries to find their meaning, and takes them as some form of sentience.
sam:
- he seems a bit peeved that celia didn't call him to tell him she had to cancel, and tells her to not make a habit of this kind of thing. i think its important to keep in mind that we've established he's very sensitive to rejection and people "not having time" for him.
- "im not a big horror fan" who's going to tell him?
alice:
- her computer keeps malfunctioning, showing a jmj error
- shes back to making bad puns and jokes at gwen's expense, a hard shift from her demeanor last episode
- she jokes to gwen about venting their problems as a group exercise, but denies actually having a problem to discuss
gwen:
- she helps alice with the jmj error, and says that colin hasnt been in the office in weeks, though theres no more word in his whereabouts
- she also! denies having anything to talk about! great communication guys!
incident:
- narrated by chester/jon, read at celia's desk.
- incident pulled from the magnus institute oxford outreach center -> important for the obvious reason and because celia woke up in oxford the most recent time she teleported
- darrien is given low viability for agent, subject, and catalyst
- states that "continued incarceration" is the advised method of containing/studying the subject and phenomena, implying that sometime after the statement was given, the magnus institute incarcerated darrien for unknown reasons.
- the statement was given by a man named darrien -> episode 13 also featured a darrien, but it doesn't appear to be the same man to me, i think its most likely that ajn and johhny are just having a good time with recycling names.
- darrien was in a court ordered anger-management program and was transported across dimensions during a therapy session -> intense meditation seemed to be the trigger here
- the receptionist at his therapy office was a "big, soft looking guy" who stumbled over his words, this is followed by the mention of a "bookish looking guy" who darrien says gives him weird pervert vibes. while these are incredibly in character descriptions for them both, i cant say im sure these are alternate-dimension's martin and jon. ide also like to point out that these are characters from darrien's previous universe, not the tmagp one where he finds himself.
- when darrien wakes up from his meditation he has a strong migraine, dry eyes, a stiff neck, and he was dizzy. later, he discovers hes emaciated as he continuously passes out. these symptoms seem to go away as he stays in this dimension
- he woke up in the tmagp universe in a shopping center, coming from a magnus institute outreach post -> seeing as how we know the main building is still active, it could be that the outreach centers also serve as "portals"
- he experienced similar things to anya villette's statement in tma s3. he couldnt contact his employer, had no emergency contact to give the hospital, woke up in a different location, and was taken to the wrong address.
- the tmagp native darrien (who ill call other!darrien for clarity here) was welcoming to his lost doppelgänger, letting him stay in his house and offering him advice on how to keep his anger in check
- darrien describes meeting his other!self as "trying not to fall through the cracks" -> potentially a call back to anya villette's episode "cracked foundation"
- they reasoned the coincidence out by figuring they were half siblings, though they were both named darrien. they discovered a couple of time discrepancies, seeing as their dad died on different days
- the housekeeper, sharon, was wary of them, giving darrien a scared look and looking for opportunities to leave the room when he was around
- when darrien asks how other!darrien manages his anger, hes taken to a heavy door in the basement. there was a single drop of blood on the staircase leading down. ragged breathing and pleading for help rose from below the stairs, and darrien refused to be a part of this anger-vent exercise. he pushed other!darrien into the room, locking it back.
- darrien denies the invitation into the torture chamber, "i couldnt join him down there with my father", later saying he felt guilty for not killing other!darrien and "saving whatever poor soul he had kept". at first, i thought that his other!father was being kept in the basement and tortured, but i think he uses his dad as a metaphor for the anger they both carry. this opens up the scarier realization that other!darrien is just torturing a random person
- once he locked other!darrien in the basement room, he adopted his life.
- sharon didnt return to darrien after her vacation was up, and its thought that she reported him to the institute, where we can assume they began his incarceration
glitches/lies:
- "i'm ok/its ok" spoken by celia as she's trying to reassure herself
- no glitches after gwen and alice say they have nothing to share. its very possible this is because they dont want to share with each other
extra comments:
- the jmj wrror stops popping up after alice proposes talking out their issues as a team, but considering they dont actually do that im chalking it up to a coincidence for now
- this incident follows chester's normal shtick: statement from the magnus institute, directly targeting someones business, and sort of providing a cautionary tale
- this may be my favorite incident so far. it has a very similar vibe to the early tma statements, and an ominous music bit from s1-2 even played briefly as darrien meets his dopplegänger (at least, thats what it sounded like to me). it has a lot of revelation-centered horror that really grabs me, knowing exactly who will be in the house as darrien knocks on the door and following his dopplgänger into the torture room were so vivid for me, its the exact type of horror that always makes me genuinely creeped out!
- this episode raises a lot of questions about the stability of this dimension, and all dimensions in general since there seems to be reoccurring leaks/cracks. this manifests as celia teleporting across space, existing in this universe in general, the giant cavern in the magnus institute ruins, and darrien's adventures in universe-hopping.
- as i mentioned in the incident points, jon and martin have a sort of hinted cameo in darrien's original universe, but a part of me refuses to believe its them just because i enjoy the mystery set up after mag 200. if this is all the content we get of potential jon and martin dopplegängers, ill actually be happy with that. i really do enjoy the notion that they exist in some boring reality somewhere else, and martin still stumbles over his words and jon still needs anger management therapy. i like that theres consistency even in an alternate universe. im certain we wont be seeing these vague background characters again, but i would love to see darrien's reaction to norris's voice.
