Believix fairy Danny, fairy of the realms balance! Prompt
Danny is just trying to scout a good city to set up as a base in but he keeps getting sidetracked. He keeps needing to save people and helping!
It's not his fault for saving that little boy from the fire or that cat rescue needed help getting all those cats out.
"Danny you cannot keep doing this! Sam exasperatedly yelled at him over the com link. Danny involuntarily wincing slightly.
"Well what was i supposed to do, not save those poor cats? I couldn't just not save them!"
"Danny do you have fairy dust for a brain! The justice League is looking for you The Batman wants you in for questioning you!"
* Damian was the "little boy" Danny saved. Said little boy is still railing from having been saved by a fairy. With big fairy wings and fairy dust fluttering in the wind.
Believix fairy Danny, fairy of the realms balance! Witch Sam who switched to be a, Specialists Sam & Tucker!

Prompt 352
“Mother, I crave violence,” a small child interrupts the video call, practically clambering up into Nightingale’s chair. They look around five or so, with white hair and red eyes. Albino perhaps?
“Ah, apologies, let me take care of this real quick,” Nightingale turns the microphone off when he gets a few acknowledging noises, picking the small child up and moving them from the room.
“Cute kid,” Barry acknowledged from behind his coworker’s head, having been helping move things. Actually, the kid looked kind of familiar, though from where, who knew. Hard to remember everything with how fast his thoughts usually went. “I didn’t know Nightingale was a father…”
Then again the specialist was notoriously private, and set most meetings online thanks to some sort of medical conditions. So he supposed it would make it easier to be a stay at home dad if he was there already…

Ok. So, you know that TV show Ghost Adventures? Let's make it Danny phantom.
Danny, Sam, and Tucker are college age. Danny's studying astrophysics and astronomy. Tucker's studying engineering. And Sam's double majoring in occult studies and parapsychology. They're not in Amity Park, I don't know where they'd be but it would probably be a really haunted city/town. They need some extra money so they start a paranormal investigation group kinda like what Ghost Adventures is, but local. They post their findings on YouTube. They basically blow up overnight and get monetized after they get a few videos out there.
Danny is the "medium". (He's not a medium. He just has ghost powers.)
Tucker's the tech specialist.
Sam's the occult specialist.
But instead of provoking the ghosts and being rowdy and screaming all the time (don't get me wrong, the show is funny and I do enjoy watching it, but we all know they're not always respectful of the spirits.), they're actually trying to solve the problem the ghost is posing. They try to compromise with them and help them pass on.
Sam sends Danny into creepy basements by himself just like Zak does with Aaron. She also pulls the most obscure and random occult facts out of her ass. One time, she told the audience that it was possible to exorcise ghosts using music. She proceeded to play Riptide on a ukulele for the spirit of a pre-teen girl and it worked. After the episode is over, people go to look it up, and low and behold, there it is.
Tucker makes progressively more insane and less believable gadgets to contact and interact with ghosts. Their audience tunes in every week wonder what he'll have next. The last episode, it was some sort of ghostly etch-a-sketch. AND THE GHOSTS ACTUALLY USED IT. Did one of them draw a dick on it like a smart ass? Probably.
Sometimes Danny has full on conversations with no one on camera. He waves when there's no one else in the room. He scolded a poltergeist that tried to push him down the stairs. He consistently says that most ghosts just need a hug. Dark spirit? Hug it. Violent poltergeist? They need a hug. Ghostly child? HUG. The audience notices his eyes glowing in the dark. Is it special effects? No one knows.
No one can tell if they're serious or not. They had a literal gun that shoots ghosts. They play music for ghosts. They have ghostly etch-a-sketches. Unless you're from Amity Park, there's no way you're believing that.
But, people who have their properties investigated often say that the activity stops or de-intensifies or changes all together. People may have to change things, like hanging up a photo of the deceased, holding a memorial service, or stopping/changing renovations. But they make the ghost happy or even pass on. That way they stop throwing the good china out of the cabinets.
#danny phantom#danny fenton#sam manson#tucker foley#i guess it could kinda be like BuzzFeed unsolved too.#i dont watch it tho#the yt channel is called ghostly adventures#yes. it was 100% on purpose#they think they're hilarious

Sorry if you already answered this but I can't stop thinking about DPxDC Samantha al Ghul and I just! Would love to hear your thoughts. Please tell me everything about this AU because I love it so much!
I mostly just have notes on it so far, I haven’t really come up with a plot quite yet, but here’s what I have so far!
Sam is the older twin, born 13 minutes before Damian.
While Damian was more skilled with the sword, Sam's skill lay in long range and poisons. She likes blow darts and meteor hammer, but when they learned guns, she excelled.
She spent a lot of time with the poison master learning about the different plants in the garden. This is where she gets her love of plants. She becomes a poison specialist.
They got separated on a mission at age 8 somewhere in North America when she let go of his hand and fell to a river below so he could pull himself up and survive.
Damian kept trying to get missions nearby to try and find her body, but was unsuccessful.
She got swept downstream and wandered onto a beach on a lake by a lake house that the Manson's were staying at.
They took her in and she went along with whatever they wanted because that's what you did in the League to escape punishment, especially if you weren't the heir.
Pamela was happy to have a little girl she could dress up and seemed to have impeccable manners.
Eventually she realized when they went to the Mason's home in Amity Park, that she had more freedom, that she wouldn't be punished for speaking up and wanting things for herself.
Sam became more comfortable asking for things from the Manson adults. She adored Ida, she was a wonderful adopted grandparent, much better than her bio one. Jeremy found out about her interest in plants and for her 10th birthday gifted her the greenhouse.
One day at after that birthday, she took off with her allowance that she had been hoarding and went to thrift and craft stores and locked herself in her room and figured out a wardrobe that she felt suited her.
Pamela was ecstatic that little Samikins was interested in fashion and helped her find ethically sourced outfits that she could wear to galas. She thought that all these dark clothes was just a phase and so allowed it, but became shocked to realize that it's just how she was going to be.
That school year, she met Danny and Tucker when she started at Casper Middle School. They ended up assigned together on an English assignment. They meet at Tucker's house to work on it and Sam ends up leading the group and they become close.
When Danny becomes Phantom, she trains him as best she can without revealing that she was raised by assassins. The boys don't really ask questions, they just think of Sam as tough and that she probably got into fights before she met them.
That's about all I've got for now. Again, I have ideas, but not really a plot to go with it. Feel free to take and run with it!

Here's an idea that I had after making this post, just to be clear, you don't have to read my old post to understand this one.
Basically this a typical “Danny runs way to Gotham to escape from his parents and the government” but here's the twist the Fentons don't think he is a dangerous monster who killed their son, no, they think Danny is only dangerous to himself, they see his ghost self as a lifelong sickness that affects the body and the mind and the GIW pretty much thinks the same way. In fact, this started when Vlad's secret was revealed, and he got institutionalized because the court ruled that Vlad couldn't be responsible for his actions as he was influenced by a ghostly obsession, and therefore he should receive treatment instead of punishment.
Shortly thereafter the GIW created screening tests to find and help more people who suffer from similar ectoplasmic contaminations, with their test were able to detect mild curable cases that are just temporary to lifelong chronic conditions like halfas or liminals, it was in one of those tests that Danny got caught. After an evaluation, the GIW concluded that Danny was mostly just a danger to himself and since his parents were specialists in the field, it was best to leave him with them.
Since this all happened, Danny has lost most of the freedoms he once had, he is now homeschooled, has to constantly wear devices that restrict his powers, can't use his ghost form or fight to protect Amity Park, has to go to a psychologist every week and a psychiatrist every month to manage his “ghostly impulses” and gets minor “protective tasks” to safely indulge in his obsession which he knows are completely meaningless. Danny is also strictly forbidden to go outside without supervision in fear that something like a ghost attack might trigger his obsession, so now he can only hang out with Sam and Tucker in his house or talk to them on the phone likewise he is banned from entering his parents' lab not because it's dangerous mind you but because there are things there that might upset him as full ghost still have no rights and are fair game to torture in the Fenton household.
Needless to say there are plenty of reasons as to why Danny ran away from home, and yet when he first got to the city of Gotham he didn't expect to get any help much less from a vigilant who is unaware that he is also in danger of losing his freedom and autonomy but hey Jason can't say he expected to get a new brother either, so you can say that they are both lost when it comes to what the future holds.
#danny phantom#dpxdc#dp x dc#dc x dp#It may not look like it but this was very difficult to write#So please try to appreciate my efforts#Also should I number my dpxdc prompts?

The Ultimate Enemy is a Disappointment (and How I'd Fix It) (Part 1)
A couple years back, I started analysing a list of DP episodes I thought had missed potential--and my analysis on TUE got SO big I made it its own thing. I rewrote it to death and could never settle on something concise enough, so I abandoned it. But I'm BACK baby. I can't remember where it is now, but I came across a poll on whether Reign Storm or TUE is the better special and the discourse reignited my passion for this analysis, and gave me motivation to trim off some of the fat.
Don't get me wrong, at the end of the day I do like this episode--or at least its ideas. I really liked the episode the less I thought about it, but now I see issue after issue in its execution. Hence, the "disappointment": it could've been great, but it missed the mark. This won't just be a one-sided roast of TUE, though. I have a ton of cool ideas for how to rewrite plot holes or fill in the gaps. The best roasts are constructive! (Though I would be rewriting it in a more mature fashion compared to canon's writing--keep that in mind).
Part 2 is now up: you can find it here.
So here we go: Part 1--the general plot contrivances/contradictions unrelated to Dan's character or the time travel system.
The episode introduced taking off the Time Medallions as a way to immediately return to one’s native time period, but then forgot this late into the second act.
Technically this plot hole involves time travel devices, but I'm counting it as a plot hole by character decisions.
The episode gives no explicit rules on lag time between removing the medallion and returning home, but it takes only one to two seconds to return Skulktech to the future after they dropped theirs, and it had to have been instant for Sam and Tucker to return to the past in time to escape rubble falling from FentonWorks (which was only roughly two to three stories high, not counting the Ops Centre).
Danny should’ve been sent back almost instantly when Dan took his medallion off—which would’ve completely defeated the purpose of Dan’s attempt to trap Danny there in the first place.
If they wanted to keep the plot point, they could’ve just had Dan grab the medallion and turn it intangible while it’s still around Danny’s neck…and that’s assuming that making it intangible while Danny’s still tangible doesn’t count as “removal”. That’s it. He never needed to remove it to begin with.
2. The Nasty Sauce explosion just…sucks. In my opinion, it’s too silly for the tone the episode’s trying to go for (and as a cause of major character death), and it wrecks the worldbuilding.
I tried to put it in way more verbose ways in my previous drafts, but I found another post somewhere on tumblr that did what I couldn’t—say it in three words:
“It’s just stupid.”
Assuming that semi-realistic laws exist in-place in the Danny Phantom universe (so it’s BASICALLY similar to ours) the Nasty Burger shouldn’t have been able to stay in business without a LOT of red tape, cover-ups and NDA’s. They had an explosive substance on premises, being taken care of by unqualified, minimum-wage part-timers instead of trained chemical safety specialists. Forget handling it, they shouldn’t have even had it in the first place! If they got it by going UNDER the law and covering everything up, then one of their employees shouldn’t have been able to just CONFESS to it at a public school assembly.
It also sounds ridiculous that a “certain combination of secret herbs and spices” could catastrophically combust in the first place. They could’ve made the explosion ghost-powered/altered; they could’ve made it not the sauce itself, but a pressure issue with its containment vats; they could’ve made it a gas leak or malfunction of cooking equipment starting a fire, or something. They could’ve made the explosion a Fenton invention at their home (where the whole family had reason to be at once, and Mr Lancer could hold the parent-teacher conference there like in Teacher of the Year). They've used more serious threats of explosion in previous episodes (like the Ecto-Filtrator in Million Dollar Ghost).
And instead they decided “Yep! This commonly sold and digested sauce is a dangerous explosive, and even a small handout serving is enough to blow clean through a wall when it’s heated up!” This is how we're going to kill all of the main characters' loved ones to send him on a villain arc!
Like what?
Nowhere else after TUE did the show acknowledge the Nasty Sauce in worldbuilding. There were no consequences of its risk being publicly revealed, nor did it ever pose a hazard again. It’s understandable, given the show’s episodic nature. Bu at least in The Ultimate Enemy itself, they should've thought about how it affected most of the previous episodes.
During his fight with Boxed Lunch, one of Danny's ectoblasts to a sauce packet demolishes an entire section of wall in the Nasty Burger. So how hadn’t any ghost fights ignited any Nasty Sauce before—or damaged the main vat, god forbid—and caused an explosion already?
If the sauce was always a part of the Nasty Burger’s recipe, then the entire restaurant was a ticking time bomb waiting to go off since season one, and nothing short of a miracle could explain why it hadn’t happened before.
3. This episode committed character assassination of Mr Lancer, for the sake of setting up stakes in the plot. And contradicted his personality changes in previous episodes (such as “Teacher of the Year”).
Mr Lancer, in my opinion, is the character done the single dirtiest in the episode. It warps his entire character around the plot, and turns him into a contrived mouthpiece for how important the CAT is. It leaves him even more malicious and mean-spirited than his behaviour in the first episode of the entire show—leaving him even worse than he started.
He didn’t have much character development, but there were some more positive changes happening in his personality as later episodes occurred. He started out as a selfish, corrupt authority figure (think Mystery Meat, Fright Night and other S1 episodes where he deliberately lets the jocks off the hook for their behaviour), but unwittingly acts in favour of the main characters in “Fanning the Flames”—although ineffective and easily taken down by Ember.
By the time of “Teacher of the Year”, we finally got a glimpse into his (albeit scant) ideology as a teacher around helping his students succeed, and his concern for Danny’s failing grades.
It even revealed his personal interest in Doomed, which gave him more in common with Danny and Tucker and humanised him in way a few other episodes hadn’t. Season two even demonstrated his (albeit brief) willingness to stand up and defend his students from a ghost attack in “Memory Blank”. Lancer, for a brief period of time, became more than just his job, book title swears and his frustration with rebellious students.
We're talking about the teacher who, in the early 2000s, kept a picture of himself crossdressing at school to convince his students to try their best with a "story about his sister".
The Ultimate Enemy, however, took Mr Lancer’s humanity towards the students—particularly Danny—and flipped it all on its head. It turned him into an elitist, mean-spirited asshole who verbally attacked his students (past and present) based on their performances on this single. Fucking. Test.
They made Mr. “there is no cheat code in school, or in life” Lancer into a cruel enforcer of the hamfisted and childish importance of the CAT. Actual “get rich vs dead-end, minimum-wage job” propaganda.
(Teacher of the Year)
And... one season later:
(that sure sounds like a cheat code in life to me)
To add insult to injury, TUE used Lancer’s death as the butt of a joke directly after spending the majority treating him like a total asshole—following up character assassination with literal assassination , and excluding him from the rest of the explosion victims in their memorial.
It feels to me, that it'd make more sense for Mr Lancer to be sceptical of the importance of the CAT based on TOTY. Replace him in the assembly with Principal Ishiyama or something. A stickler-for-the-rules school administrator looking to boost the school's image by pressuring kids on a standardised test? That ABSOLUTELY makes sense.
Mr Lancer could still be seen as a threat (or someone Danny can't reach out to for help), but in the department of simply being an authority figure Danny's used to dodging around with his ghost activities. Someone who'd still enforce consequences for Danny getting caught cheating. Someone who'd get his parents involved. He's the closest thing Danny could have to any level of support at Casper High, and Danny could think he's even lost THAT.
4. The way Danny got the CAT answers was contrived, and broke the previously established rules of ghost intangibility.
To cut a long story short, Boxed Lunch’s fight with Danny shouldn’t have gotten the test answers stuck to Danny’s back. Danny immediately turned intangible in anticipation of the explosion, and was thrown outside the Nasty Burger and through Mr. Lancer’s briefcase before turning tangible again.
That didn’t make sense; the series previously established that ghosts (in this case, halfas) were physically unaffected by explosions when intangible. “Million-Dollar Ghost” even demonstrated it when Vlad escaped his castle’s explosion in the same manner, and was left completely unmoved from his position at ground zero. The sauce packet explosion shouldn’t have even moved Danny out of place, let alone flung him out of the building (especially not compared to Vlad and an Ecto-filtrator explosion).
On top of that, the test answers couldn’t have gotten stuck to his back while he passed through the suitcase, as Danny was intangible and the answers sheet was solid. Even if it were possible for already intangible ghosts to grab onto tangible objects and bring them into intangibility, that’d certainly require conscious intention that Danny didn’t have in the episode. The test answers got stuck to his back by sheer accident on his part. Bringing other objects into tangibility always previously involved a tangible ghost grabbing hold of other tangible people/objects and consciously willing them intangible together. Ergo, he should’ve simply passed through the suitcase and its contents all at once—go to the other side, pass go, do not collect CAT cheat sheet.
The solution for this one is pretty simple—just remove the scene entirely. Not only does it break the lore, but it’s entirely pointless and redundant (more on that later when I talk about Clockwork—giving Danny the answers was his idea, and it was a terrible one). Instead, it would’ve been much more compelling if Danny stole the answers on purpose with his ghost powers—being put under so much pressure to succeed that he felt like he had to forgo his morals and use his powers to cheat.

supernatural s1e12 faith (w. sera gamble, raelle tucker)
(this is a rewatch so spoilers abound)
same old story, i'm struggling. mostly convinced my depression (and/or the meds) just shuffle my executive function around but never increase it. imagine a yahtzee cup shaking the dice around, let's see what i get this time
very pretty and reminiscent of xfiles, but better car. cue me searching for the oldsmobile that wasn't terrible in the xf movie, which then i run into the firefox/yt bug so i have to wait 5 minutes for an incredibly shitty recording of a tv playing an xf/oldsmobile intrigue promo to load. this is going great. maybe i don't wanna see our dean get electrocuted
cracking up that they kinda ran into each other. literally attached at the hip. this whole rawhead thing, feels like the actual monstery monsters thing just largely went by the wayside after s1
DEAN Yeah. All right, well, looks like you're gonna leave town without me. SAM What are you talking about? I'm not gonna leave you here. DEAN Hey, you better take care of that car. Or, I swear, I'll haunt your ass. SAM I don't think that's funny. DEAN Oh, come on, it's a little funny.
always hard to watch dean being so ready to die. this being the more acceptance of the consequences of hunting type, but watching it with the weight of every other time it's going to happen pushing down on me, buh.
DEAN Look, Sammy, what can I say, man, it's a dangerous gig. I drew the short straw. That's it, end of story. SAM Don't talk like that, alright? We still have options. DEAN What options? Yeah, burial or cremation. And I know it's not easy. But I'm gonna die. And you can't stop it. SAM Watch me.
heaven help whoever gets in the way of sam saving dean
SAM Hey, Dad. It's Sam. Uh... you probably won't even get this, but, uh... it's Dean. He's sick, and uh... the doctors say there's nothing they can do. Um... but, uh, they don't know the things we know, right? So, don't worry, cause I'm uh... gonna do whatever it takes to get him better. Alright... just wanted you to know.
dean's dying but can't count on john for anything, of course. and a little sam/jared nail biting moment
DEAN Well, I'm not gonna die in a hospital where the nurses aren't even hot.
come home to hot nurse sammy *rimshot*
SAM You know, this whole I-laugh-in-the-face-of-death thing? It's crap. I can see right through it. DEAN Yeah, whatever, dude. Have you even slept? You look worse than me.
i spy with my little eye their wee printer back there. sammy in socks, dean in not-logger boots. also i think because of how he dresses a lot of times but jackles really does have long legs. and occasionally will get a shot of them like whoa, right.
SAM I've been scouring the Internet for the last three days. Calling every contact in Dad's journal. DEAN For what? SAM For a way to help you. One of Dad's friends, Joshua, he called me back. Told me about a guy in Nebraska. A specialist. DEAN You're not gonna let me die in peace, are you? SAM I'm not gonna let you die, period. We're going.
i know that's right!
always here for grumpy weak puppy dean getting annoyed with sam mother henning him. i ended up making all the gifs because it's cute and makes me laugh
DEAN Man, you are a lying bastard. Thought you said we were going to see a doctor. SAM I believe I said a specialist.
cracking me up. it's not my fault you assumed medical specialist 😌
s1e11 julie benz as layla rourke / dexter s1e1 as rita bennett
funny, in an effort to watch something instead of zoning out and being miserable in the evening the other day i put on dexter, i have watched half of the first episode 🥴 but i did meet her character!
YOUNG WOMAN Maybe God works in mysterious ways. DEAN Maybe he does. I think you just turned me around on the subject. YOUNG WOMAN Yeah, I'm sure. DEAN I'm Dean. This is Sam. YOUNG WOMAN Layla. So, if you're not a believer, then why are you here? DEAN Well, apparently my brother here believes enough for the both of us.
sam's little smile to that ❤️
DEAN This is ridiculous. (He slaps SAM's hands away) I'm good, dude, get off me.
😂
truly, worth the price of admission alone
SAM Look, Dean, do we really have to look this one in the mouth? Why can't we just be thankful that the guy saved your life and move on? DEAN Because I can't shake this feeling, that's why. SAM What feeling? DEAN When I was healed, I just... I felt wrong. I felt cold. And for a second... I saw someone. This, uh, this old man. And I'm telling you, Sam, it was a spirit. SAM But if there was something there, Dean, I think I would've seen it, too. I mean, I've been seeing an awful lot of things lately. DEAN Well, excuse me, psychic wonder. But you're just gonna need a little faith on this one. Sam, I've been hunting long enough to trust a feeling like this.
psychic wonder :p sam's little pinched face when dean says he needs to have faith lol harrumph. yeah yeah some guy died, but you're fine so let's go!
s1e12 kevin mcnulty as reverend legrange
i did a hiky for kevin mcnulty for is appearance in spn 10x06, he was in the killing and the magicians too
ROY Well, like I said before, the Lord guides me. I looked into your heart, and you just stood out from all the rest. DEAN What did you see in my heart? ROY A young man with an important purpose. A job to do. And it isn't finished.
i don't remember if they go into this any more but i wonder how much of this was hinting at the long game (nevermind roy doesn't actually have any powers that we know of). could work for all manner of points along the story within the s1-5 arc for him though
s1e12 gillian barber as mrs rourke / s12e17 as dr hess / the x-files s2e10 as beth kane / under the banner of heaven s1e4 as sister dorren
she's been in a couple of my things too, including four (4!) episodes of the xfiles and uh, she was dr hess in s12 of spn for 3 episodes?? lol no wonder she was familiar. i guess i didn't look her up
oof, that small "i'm sorry" from sam got me. so this scene originally has don't fear the reaper by blue oyster cult, clip here if interested. i don't know that i think it fits that much better, feels like it's just too cheekily appropriate they had to use it somewhere.
i appreciate the dividers not being some godawful cheesy thing but i'm also laughing at how big this motel room is. and full ass kitchen basically, only vaguely kitchenette in the fact that the fridge and stove are like. 3/4 size. it's a cool set but i often think their motel sets are bonkers in one way or another regardless
SAM Wait, what the hell are you talking about Dean, we can't kill Roy. DEAN Sam, the guy's playing God, he's deciding who lives and who dies. That's a monster in my book. SAM No. We're not going to kill a human being Dean. We do that we're no better than he is. DEAN Ok, we cant kill Roy, we can't kill Death. Any bright ideas, college boy? SAM Ok. uh...If Roy's using some kind of black spell on the reaper, we gotta...figure out what it is. And how to break it.
honestly don't think dean at this point in time would actually jump to killing the human instead of breaking the spell but whatevs :p i can take the somewhat out of character things like dean saying he's proud of sam in s1 and hold tight to them and discard the ones i don't like, like this :P maybe it's because he feels wracked with guilt! who knows!
COP 1 We catch you round here again son, we'll put the fear of God in you, understand? DEAN Yes sir, fear of God. Got it.
can't resist being a smartass to cops
LAYLA I wish you luck. I really do. DEAN Same to you. Layla turns to walk away again. DEAN (under his breath) You deserve it a lot more than me.
sneak in some of that patented dean self loathing
DEAN Desperate. Her husband was dying, she didn't have anything to save him. She was using the binding spell to keep the reaper away from Roy.
sounds familiar 🤔
DEAN May God save us from half the people who think they're doing God's work.
amen to that
just happen to whip up a color picture of dean. wonder if she has a printer or she takes it to the 1 hour photo
and dean doesn't even try to get away from the reaper, like yeah. should be dead anyway, and let layla live. just what he wanted
DEAN We did the right thing here didn't we? SAM Of course we did. DEAN (hanging his head) It doesn't feel like it.
(especially when the right thing means dean gets to live)
DEAN Must be rough. To believe in something so much, and have it disappoint you.
like *cough* your dad?? lol
LAYLA God works in mysterious ways. Goodbye, Dean.
mmmk. the draft script says she kissed him, glad they didn't go there
DEAN Well... I'm not much of the praying type... but... I'm gonna pray for you. LAYLA Well...There's a miracle right there.
🤔 ok lol

So we have necrofriggian children and their babysitters are basically both shades and nicktoons and some of the Tennysons and maybe some from Rex's side (14 is a whole lot, and assuming Six, Holiday, Bobo, and Caesar got their own fair share taking care of the kids). What about the phantom twins? Danny's kids?
"Phantom Twins", I like it, I'll take it-
Ok, for the twins, they're not much of a handful to be fair compared to the necrofriggian children. Sure, they have ghost powers enhanced with some elemental powers as well, but they're a lot more calmer than Ben's alien children.
If we're talking about their favorite babysitters, it'll probably;
Ben: surprise to no one, but for a different reasons; with Elly having a nature core and Ben's Heart of Tandem is nature also, they would get along nicely and bond over making plants together. Of course also including the obvious reasons on being a mother himself and having the children play together.
Kim: being she is also a mother, and Kim is also one of Danny's closer friends in the Shades, it wouldn't be much of s surprise if Danny leave the twins to Kim once a while when she's not on duty. Danny also had his share on taking care of Kim's daughter when he's not on the courts.
Jake: being a specialist on children in his field, he had a knack on childcare despite never having his own kids. The twins always had a blast with the American dragon, so Jake is usually a first choice many times after Ben, but that's also depends on Jake's schedule.
Other than them, it's usually the Fentons, Sam, Tucker, and Valerie. Nicktoons is also frequent babysitters. Randy is usually rarely, as he also work at the courts like Danny is.

@pa-pa-plasma I really liked your tags and I've feel like new people who don't watch the show see stuff in the fandom and feel obligated to include stuff they think is canon without understanding that, they just made that up.
Hang on, I was going to clarify that Fanon made it ups, but yeah, I don't think they even get it from the fandom, I think they're doing this to themselves. Because, sure, a lot of people in fandom do act like, say, Wes Weston is real, but then people use him in a place where Valerie or Dash would have been better, or even a place where Tucker or Sam would have been better (and maybe there was one occasion where I was just like, "You know, Mr. Lancer or Coach Tetslaff would have really gotten this point across, why is this child here?"). But Wes is just a vague notion of a character, there isn't any canon for him to diverge from and the fandom slots him into any place they want, so then anyone who doesn't know any better sees all this inconsistency and realizes they can slot him in anywhere too, and then feel obligated to slot him in anywhere. It's easy. It's less work, even if they think he's canon, he's so flexible. AND Wes is Default Feral too! Because it's easier to excuse inconsistent writing as the character being feral. Feral Danny is probably so popular because it's easier to justify weird-but-plot-convenient behavior if the default is "feral".
And everything else is probably that way too! It's easier to just say that all the ghosts are friends now and all that was just "ghost bonding" than it is to actually write an excuse for why Danny doesn't need to be a hero anymore. And again, if someone has convinced themselves that Danny doesn't want to be a hero but then explain why he's a hero in the show, well "I'll literally die if I don't save people" is easy and they don't have to explain it because fanon. It's an easy joke, "oh did I forget to mention I'm The Ghost King? LOL!" despite the fact that Danny being the Fucking Ghost King would have made the plot not happen if he'd just pulled rank? Oh, wait, the "fandom" is saying he's feral so it's fine that he forgot he's responsible for the lives and livelihoods of an entire species? Oh, the "fandom" is also saying he's the God of Time's Apprentice so he doesn't have to be responsible? Sure, that's completely in character and not an excuse to have Danny have a special title without actually writing the very difficult and intimidating but very fun to write political intrigue plot Danny being the Ghost King sets up. Not to mention the simplification of Danny's parents to them being either "good" or "bad" parents, instead of the fascinatingly complicated relationship they have in the show. They're taking the easiest bits of watered down fanon, calling it canon because it's popular, and running away with it before anyone can tell them any better.
But, you know what? That's all bullshit venting about my personal gripes. The point of this whole thing boils down to, those who haven't studied history are doomed to repeat it. Because if look closely, "all the ghosts are suddenly Danny's friends", "Danny's the specialist boy in the whole world/zone", "Danny doesn't want to be a hero anymore but will because he has to", "Danny's parents are Good and Simple", "these random background characters are actually important even though someone else (Valerie) would have been better" ...
"Phantom Planet isn't canon" but people who haven't seen it recreate it.
I feel like people forget that Danny isn't actually feral. Like, I love feral Danny, but, even at the height of his "feralness", his room is spotless, he's sad when he can't study, and he cleans to relieve anxiety (though yes, only when he's alone). He only started not doing his chores, getting bad grades, and missing classes when he stopped having time for it and he hates it! He wants to be a good boy! AND! He loves being a hero and helping people, and I'm tired of people being like "no, actually he hates being a hero and wouldn't do it if he wasn't forced to". No! You are wrong! Danny Fenton loves helping people and being a hero. (I thought we all agreed that Phantom Planet was Out of Character!) He's not a dirty little gremlin child. He's a responsible, well organized teen, and tries to still be that even when he's at the end of his rope and stressed to hell and back.

Twins au
Danny dies a little after born and become a little ghost with the obsession of protecting his twin (the only person he was familiar). Damian grows used to have a friend that no one except him can see (everybody thinks that Danny is an imaginary friend), later Talia sees Danny. She was contented to see her son, but if her lost son is back, he needs to live.
That's how she starts experimenting with clonation, to get Danny a body (what later she would use to create Damian's clones). When is ready, she fuses Danny's ghost with the body, but when Danny awakes he can't remember who was he.
Talia sees this as an opportunity for her son to be free, so she takes the little Danny the only 7 years and give to some assassins who were planning leave the league.
These assassins wants their son to live in a safe environment and don't be use as a hacker tool. They make a deal with talia, she helps them leave and they take care of her son.
Talia is happy that at least one of her sons will have a best life, but she is heartbroken to see his little Damian so sad to lose his only friend, even if Damian denied (neither damian nor danny knew about them being twins)
She decide that someday she'll reunite them
The assassins were tucker's parents and his son Tucker. Danny becomes Tucker's best friend and Tucker's parents tell them that Danny or Danyal (Danny conserves his birthname!) is the son of a friend but she can't take care of him and ask them to.
Danny is trained by tucker's parents as last petition of Talia, but not tucker. They don't want that their little boy learn anything of their past live (Tucker only live because they said to Ra's that he was a smart boy and that could be useful have a specialist personal hacker by how the technology influences the people nowadays. Tucker lived in a small room and pass all his days being train to be the best hacker to Ra's, by this Tucker become claustrophobic and when they leave the league he try to forget everything of their past).
The duo become in a trio when they meet Sam.
Jazz still becomes in Danny's sister, but is more like she adopt the whole trio as her little siblings (why one if she can have three)
The canon pass in both sides, but early in Danny side (he become a halfa at his 10 years). The trio was visiting their sister when they hear something coming from the lab, they go downstairs and found a depress fenton parents who tell them about the portal before leave. Sam wants a picture of the portal, Danny enters into it and tripped over it, activating the portal. Jazz open the door and hear Danny's scream.
This time the cause of the twin's reunion is Vlad.
Vlad still creating Dani but this time he thinks ¿Why should I bother making a new research when there out exist previous investigations?
So, he steals Talia's and Lex's investigations about cloning, painting in his and amity's back a target. Ra's is furious when he finds out that Talia was keeping secrets from him, but Talia is a step before him.
She needs to take her son to a safest place and she knows where.
Look like is time for her sons to reunite

Notes: Danny is the Prince of the ghost zone, but he doesn't know and thinks that the ghost that treat him with respect and adoration is because he being the 'Saviour of the infinity realms'. Apart he have classes with Pandora, Dora and the ghost writer. Talia gets a report of her son every month and tucker's parent know of him being a halfa, but Danny don't know they know.
Damian is a liminal by spend time with Danny (as a ghost) and the lazarus pit. Dani can feel Damian signature too.

i- i don't want forgot to cool shading so i making this- cool bean i very like the art come at end
So info for this AU :] :
Danny has Cosmic (his Zoura name) since childhood, Cosmic is the first pokemon he catches and also his birthday present
Cosmic tends to be shy and hides from strangers except for Fenton's and Danny's friends but also like most Zorua he likes to prank by using his illusions
Cosmic evolved into Zoruark in the incident in "The Ultimate Enemy" to protect Danny
the Fentons are specialists of dark and normal types: Jack owns Obstagoon & Wyrdeer, Maddie has Liepard & Cinccino & Jazz has Teddiursa (which she names after her teddy bear: Bearbert Einstein)
if someone says the dark type is evil then Jack will tend to praise / grumble how the dark type is very good at repel ghosts and ghost type pokemon
Jack somehow knows how to evolve pokemon to their long lost form… Maybe because of research?
Sam owns Floette & Gothorita well she is a psychic and fairy type trainer force by her parents…
Tucker owns Lucario (and was confused about how to evolve it) & Porygon-Z
Also random doodle with Danny fusion with Zoura
ALSO LOOK AT THIS HUSIAN ZOURA!! HE SO CUTE IN CAFEMIX PLUS THE GHOST AT HIS HEAD ;0;!!

While You Still Can
For Ectober Day 2: Scream
.
Warnings: Accidental self-injury, repeated injury, minor blood, muteness.
.
The first time Danny got laryngitis was the day after returning from the bad future. He’d been a bit of a baby about it, too, because not being able to communicate effectively while already feeling like garbage and being depressed wasn’t great. Jazz had been very understanding about it all.
He got it again the next time he used the Ghostly Wail, and resigned himself to the inconvenient side effect. The Wail was sort of a last resort power to begin with, since it drained so much of his energy and left him vulnerable. He hoped that with time and practice it would get better.
He hoped in vain.
The day after Tucker's resignation from the student body presidential race, Danny, Sam, and Tucker splayed, exhausted and still slightly sandy, in Sam's basement. They'd settled on watching a nature documentary at some point, although none of them were really paying attention to it.
Tucker sighed heavily and readjusted himself so that his legs hung over the arm of the loveseat he’d commandeered. “So, I’m tied with Danny for most frequently possessed,” said Tucker.
“Seems like it,” said Sam, lazily twitching her foot to kick Tucker’s. “Unless mind control doesn’t count as being possessed.”
“Ugh. I hate this. Do you think we should try to practice throwing off overshadowing again? I hate that, too.”
“Dunno. Danny, do you think that would do any good?”
Danny, because he had the attention span of a caffeinated squirrel, tried to answer verbally. This was painful and did not work well.
The sound from the documentary briefly dissolved into something that wasn’t quite static. All three teens sat up, straight and wary of any ghostly intruders.
Danny’s ghost sense did not go off. Danny, who hadn’t been looking forward to how his ghost sense would feel against his abused throat, sighed in relief.
“Wait,” said Sam, “the static- Danny, was that you?”
Danny shrugged. If it was, it wasn’t on purpose.
“Maybe… Can you try to talk again?”
That would hurt. He made a face.
“I know,” said Sam. “But if it was you, don’t you want to know?”
“Could be the start of a new ghost power,” said Tucker, lying back down.
Danny rolled his eyes, but once again tried to speak. Once again, the sound of the documentary cut out, replaced by something else. Something that wasn’t words, but also wasn’t just random noise.
“Weird,” said Tucker. “So. New power, I guess. Do you think you’ll be able to do that without your voice gone?”
Danny shrugged. It wasn’t like these things came with a guidebook. Also, this didn’t seem particularly useful for anything except getting his friends’ attention when he was temporarily mute.
“I wonder if it works on recordings,” mused Tucker. “It’d be useful for making sure no one catches you transforming on film.”
Ah. That was true.
“We’d have to test it,” said Sam.
Danny dropped back onto the floor. He didn’t want to do anything today.
“Later?” suggested Sam. “Maybe once your voice is back?”
Danny gave her a thumbs up.
.
Danny’s voice came back the next day, as usual. Trying to mess with audio electronics had no effect, so they sort of forgot about it and ignored it. It wasn’t important.
They didn’t think it was important.
Danny kept using his Ghostly Wail as a trump card. His voice always took a vacation afterwards, but never for too long. Never long enough for Danny to worry. His parents were making noises about bringing Danny to the doctor, maybe a throat specialist. But they were ridiculously easy to distract.
Everything was normal. Everything was fine.
Until Technus came by with a massive upgrade, courtesy of Vlad, Danny suspected, and Danny had to use his wail twice in a row.
He managed to cap the thermos before he doubled over, coughing. Blood speckled the asphalt below him. Which was disturbing for a number of reasons, not least of which being that he was in ghost form, and shouldn’t be bleeding red at all.
He heard a gasp, and twisted in a way that probably would have broken a normal, human spine.
Sam and Tucker were looking at him with a great deal of consternation and worry.
“Dude…” said Tucker, softly.
Danny winced, and his rings flickered.
“Don’t do that now,” said Sam, scoldingly. “Shoot. We need to get you to Frostbite or something. That’s- Oh my gosh. Frick.”
Danny grimaced. They’d seen him more beaten up, but this amount of blood from the mouth probably was a more disturbing image than bruises and random cuts.
His rings flickered again.
Tucker swallowed hard. “We’ve gotta… Um. Somewhere to transform. Yeah.”
“Alley,” said Sam, pushing.
Danny let go of his transformation as soon as he was out of sight, and leaned against Tucker. He was so incredibly tired. He coughed, lightly, and more blood dribbled from his mouth.
“Oh, gross,” complained Tucker. “Are you, ah, jeeze, you’re not okay.”
No joke.
“Frostbite,” said Sam. “Danny, you up to- What am I saying, of course you’re not. Tucker, you’re going to have to drive.”
“Uh,” started Tucker.
“Since I’m going to be dealing with first aid stuff.”
“Oh. Okay, yeah, I can drive.”
.
Danny wheezed as Tucker made another wrong turn and almost plowed them into a half-melted wall. Sure, the Speeder could phase through just about anything here, but that ‘just about’ was a significant concern.
Plus, going too far that way would put a lot of extra time on their journey. Like. A lot. Some kind of fourth spacial dimension nonsense.
“Sorry!” said Tucker. “Did your parents update the controls or something?”
They had, but Danny couldn’t exactly explain how at the moment. He shrugged.
Eventually, they did arrive at the Far Frozen. The yetis took one look at Danny’s pale face and the blood dripping down his chin and rushed him away to their hospital. Frostbite arrived, and the next hour or so was a whirlwind of tests and scans, particularly of his neck and throat.
They… looked worried. Which made Danny worried.
They gave him good painkillers, though, and lying on the ice bed did wonders for his tension.
Frostbite came back. “Great One,” said Frostbite. He settled himself, fur shifting. “Your Wail is an amazing power. From our scans of your core, it looks like you are also going to develop other vocal powers.” He paused. The silence stretched long and deep. Normally, Danny would have tried to fill it. “But,” said Frostbite, finally, “those powers are not compatible with your human vocal cords. Using them damages your human vocal cords.”
Danny nodded.
“Your ghost half will replace them,” said Frostbite, “but they… they would not be at all the same.”
Danny tilted his head.
“You are probably confused, because you speak in your ghost form, but the structures are very different. You… You would be unlikely to be able to communicate in a way humans would understand, without significant practice. Not while you were in your human form.”
That… didn’t make sense. He communicated with people now. Frostbite and the other ghosts communicated just fine.
“It’s just the type of ghost you are,” said Frostbite. “You are… powerful, Great One, bound to a powerful and painful path. I am sorry for that.”
There was something so pained and apologetic in Frostbite’s tone that Danny started shaking his head. He hardly knew what he was saying, and he still couldn’t help but reject it.
“I am sorry, Great One,” said Frostbite, “but if you keep using your Ghostly Wail, your human half will become mute.”
Frostbite knew, then, just like Danny knew. Danny wouldn’t be able to stop using his wail. Not while people were in danger. He couldn’t abandon people he could save.
Tears collected in the corners of his eyes.
It made him want to scream.
(While he still could.)

that is EXACTLY Kon and Danny and i am ALSO living for it. Half-Kryptonian Half-Human Alien Boy and his Half-Human Half-Ghost Eldritch Horror Boyfriend. Power couple of the century <33
(ye ofc! Draw him whenever you have the energy/time and stuff, lord knows its easier that way and a ton more fun.)
AND GRAH IM GLAD YOU BROUGHT UP BABY DAMES. I love baby Dames he is my special little boy. My precious ex-assassin clone child. He absolutely sleeps in the hood of Danny's scarf and Danny fucking loves having him there. There are the two most specialist ever <33
Kon has come to visit Danny a few times and found him floating in the middle of his room in his ghost form, Damian fast asleep on his chest and all wrapped up in his scarf. Danny's conjured floating stars around the pitch black room that are all steadily orbiting around them. Danny is making this strange, humming-purring sound. It's totally inhuman and hauntingly beautiful.
SPEAKING OF MUSIC. Clone^2 Danny and Damian's whole vibes are based off Sleeping At Last. But in particular Danny is Nine, Two, Pluto, and Damian is Eight and Saturn. This is PURELY so i can spread Sleeping At Last Agenda and inflict you with Emotions that these songs Inflict On Me. (Also Neptune, Mars, and Earth. Mars in particular i imagine Danny saying to Damian)
Sometimes he gets to stick around and he sits on the floor with his head in his arms, hearts in his eyes, as Danny create this whole new mini solar system around them.
THEY ALSO GO FLYING TOGETHER. GraHH. They can both go so far up. They have races. Them doing that thing where they both go up up up, and then fall together, catching themselves before they can hit the ground.
SO MANY REGRETS WITH INTRODUCING DANNY'S FRIENDS TO KON'S. You just kNOW that Bart is trying to race Johnny 13. Everyone loses here. He also wants to race Danny. Tucker is showing off his PDA to Tim and Sam is talking to Cassie. Kon and Danny are off somewhere.
They have sleepovers and stay up late playing video games. Damian is positively determined to stay for the whole thing. He sits in Danny's lap the whole time and Danny uses him as a personal headrest -- as is the cost of staying awake and being there. Baby Dames always ends up falling asleep before 10. There HAS been a recreation of the Penny Snapcube Mr. Crocker Breakdown if only so that I can make Danny be Penny and absolutely lose his shit laughing with everyone.
yes yes yes. Kon sees Danny with the Long Ass Hair and promptly short circuits. Forgets how to speak and cycles through gibberish, kryptonian, some other alien language he learned off planet, before then finally landing on english. Only to spit out a Li Shang-levels of pathetic "you- you look good" line and promptly wish he had danny's intangibility so he could sink through the floor.
Danny with even longer hair means Kon gets to play with even more of his hair. Danny's working on some little pet project (NOT Kon's birthday present) and Kon is sitting behind him, his chin hooked over his shoulder, while he has one arm wrapped around his waist and the other hand is playing with his hair. This can and will result in Danny falling asleep.
(Danny is SO thrilled to meet Green Lantern and has a dozen questions for him about the other star sectors he's been to. Hal is RADIATING smugness. Bruce will never live this down.)
GIVES YOU SHAKEN BABY SYNDROME. YES YES YES. I'VE BEEN HARDCORE THINKING ABOUT HALFA DAMES. AND I LOVE WISP AS A NAME THAT IS SOOO DAMN CUTE OH MY GOD??? TEENY SMOL DAMES WITH GLOWING GREEN EYES AND SNOW WHITE HAIR LIKE HIS BROTHER.
also if Danny is like, 17-18 here, and Damian is currently 6, then that means Damian would've been like 2-3-ish and honestly that is SO cute (and also deliciously tragic). ITTY BITTY SMOL THING WITH THE TEETH. In comparison to the (still pr smol at time of creation but) much bigger Thing With The Teeth looming right behind him :]. Danny using his scarf to carry Dames around on his back like those african baby wraps. He still does it even when Dames is six bc they both Love It.
Smol Bitey Blob Wisp And His Much Bigger Much Scarier Blob Brother-(Technically-Dad) The Phantom. GIW are in for a, frankly, SHIT time if they even think of targeting Wisp. Bby can handle himself pr well but also. he Smol. He Babey. He Littol.
(which gives ME the opportunity to share my favorite quote for bruce clone!Danny, and that is: "Batman doesn't kill!" "Do I look like Batman to you?")
Kon absolutely loves seeing Danny in makeup. It's like, one of his favorite things ever. Eyeliner sharp enough to kill a man and the dark red lipstick?? He's gonna go wild. Danny's never gonna make it out the door, Kon is kissing it off him within minutes. Danny's makeup is smudged up and his lipstick is practically smeared off, and Kon is all but (messily) wearing it himself while looking like a smug cat.
"I have to go fix it now." Danny is grumbling, but his face is all pinkish and he's not all that upset tbh. Kon's got both his hands curled around Danny's waist. His fingers are a few inches shy of touching.
Kon just hums lowly and idly licks his lips, "I don't know," he says, "I think you look nice this way."
Which is, of course, the best way to make Danny flush perfectly scarlet down his throat and for him to laugh all truly bashful, and half-heartedly push Kon's face away with his palm.
Over 900 prompt
Okay I love the Danny is a clone of Batman aus but I've never seen this done.
Danny and Kon dating and Then Danny learning his parents cloned Batman thinking he is a ghost only to find out he isn't and kept Danny as their kid.
Just think of the hilarious reactions
Caue this immediately popped into my head.
Kon: *muffled screaming into Tim's couch*
Tim: ....you good?
Kon: danny is the clone of Batman
Tim: ...
Kon: I'm the clone of Superman
Tim:...
Kon: AND WE ARE DATING!
#god forbid danny's feeling a little feminine for date night and decides to wear one of the little black dresses sam bought him.#kon is going to lose his mind. not S&P approved reaction /ref. he loves his boyfriend yall.#thinking SO hard on lil halfa wisp/dames that i almost forgot about the last paragraph. HE'D. BE SO LITTLE. S O LITTOL#losing my mind. screaming crying throwing up. HE'D BE SO SMOL. SO LITTOL. danny would be SO insanely protective. no thought head empty just#blob/tail ghost danny making this big threatening growl hovering curled over wisp with his hood up so all you can see is his eyes and the#faint glint of his teeth. what caused him to go papa bear mode?? good question! a Threat. Wisp is huddled under him like a little cub.#he knows when to fight his own battles and when to let his brother fight his battles for him >:]. GODS he'd be like an angry kitten d'awwww#MARIBAT FRIIIEND! honestly i loved/still do love maribat i just got turned away from the fandom bc of the flanderization/hate going on#just steadily lost interest in it tis all. alSO 🫵 WERE YOU IN MARIBAT INSANITY II TOO??? CUZ THATS WHERE I WAS AND STILL AM#i have too many aus on that server to leave it. plus im still fond of it so its not like i wanna leave anyways even if its a ghost town now#i have some of my fics on ao3 and one of my oneshots posted on here. so if you're familiar with the oneshot'#'Behind The Mask: Gotham Ed; Gotham Fashion: Disaster' hey! hi! thats me!#also the oneshot 'A Mockingbird's Song' which is my personal magnum opus for the fandom even if it never got popular anywhere outside#of the server.#danny is VERY illegally pretty says one kryptonian boy. someone should throw him in Pretty Boy Jail. that someone should be him

I have this weird thing for liking the idea of Team Phantom having a Phantom First Aid Kit.
Like, they use Fenton Fishing Line for stitches & Ecto-Dejecto. Also, a sort of Blood Blossom-based anesthetic.
Stuff like that.
i don't think blood blossom based anesthetic would work out but for the other things yeah. they also have regular first aid kids for when sam and tucker get hurt, god forbid they mix them up. oh they could also get ghost healing supplies from frostbite. especially for when the problem is ice core related. they're prepared.
honestly i've always been partial to stories where the trio+jazz have ghost hunting to a science. where the longer they've been doing the more systematic and prepared they become. danny is their main fighter and also comes in with the ghost tech from his parents.
sam is usually the back up and is the best with weapons, she also funds them and is often the one replacing clothes and broken tech, and med supplies. she's also probably their main med person and occult specialist. she's got the magic books, but her allowance suffers.
tucker is their tech guy, and the one usually in charge of schedules. he's who they turn to when skulker or technus show up. he's also the hacker and records keeper. he has a locked folder with records of their ghost attacks and the different attacks their enemies have displayed. he also is usually the one covering up things like security camera footage and government investigations. he covers their digital traces.
jazz is obviously emotional support/therapist to the group when she can convince them to talk about their problems. she also run interference with the fenton parents and sometimes teachers like lancer. or other adults. she's trusted and takes advantage of that to lie her ass off. someday it's going to come out and cause problems for all of them but she's doing the wrong thing for the right reasons as far as she's concerned. she also generally a... what's the word. she's a backup type fighter. the trio are usually in the thick of things. if they're otherwise incapacitated, she and to an extent valerie are the backup. she's often usually taking part in evacuation efforts when it comes to that.
dani is in a similar position of being back up but in more of a fighting capacity. they call her when danny can't defeat the ghost alone, when he isn't in the position to protect the town, when he's mia or when his parents make him travel or so on. she mainly ends up covering shifts, but has her own life so she's not supper involved in the day to day.
val isn't an official member of team phantom. but similarly is called to cover shifts when danny is mia or when there's an emergency. she mainly covers her own territory and danny covers his. until the reveal danny avoids her when he can.
i like it when my kids are capable, even if it's said, if they're going to put all their effort into protecting the town i want them to be really good at it

Forgivness
Summary: “I was possessed! Da-A ghost took over my body!” Tucker shouts and that’s the moment he breaks down, pulling his hands away from his parents and holding him close to his chest-if he holds his chest, then no one can enter his body. That burning in his chest is back as he sobs brokenly. Here he was, breaking down over something Danny did to him and here he is, still holding on to Danny’s secret. Where was the fairness in that? “I didn’t want to!”
Valerie doesn’t know how to forgive someone. She’s never really had to, because people usually don’t hurt her this badly. Usually they apologize on the spot for some minor thing and Valerie instantly forgives them because she knows that they meant her no harm.
In which we see how Tucker copes with the events of Parental Bonding and Valerie gets some closure.
Archive of Our Own | FFN
Notes:
Here's the first side story in the AU! I'm quite happy with how this one turned out and hopefully plan on doing more of these as the AU progresses!
I knew I had to write this after writing that confrontation scene between Tucker and Valerie in the French Braids and it's been something I've been wanting to write anyways. Not to mention that I'm currently having some form of writers block when it's coming to writing the next part of the other fic.
- I've seen plenty of works within the fandom that addresses how overshadowing/possessing someone fucks them up but I don't think I've quite seen anything that talks about how it personally affected Tucker. It's really, really, really fucked up for Tucker to explicitly say no and not consent to be overshadowed and Danny, his best friend and someone who's the narrative says is a good person, ignore Tucker and do it any way and deeply violate his agency and consent. Even more fucked up that the narrative plays this for jokes at the end of the episode. This is literally a Vlad move my dudes, this is something that we should expect of Vlad because we know that he doesn't really view people as actual people, just pawns that he can use to meet a goal. Danny doing shit like this multiple times throughout canon(and it being played for jokes) only makes him more like Vlad. A more interesting concept would have been Danny asking to overshadow someone/not using except for dire circumstances but canon said fuck good ideas right?
-Valerie deserves closure. She deserves good things, good things and she deserves closure for being stood up at home coming.
-Re: Self-Harm Tag: Okay so Tucker has a certain behavior in this fic where he picks at scabs in his hair until they bleed but the thing is, Tucker doesn't really have a choice whether or not he wants to do it but rather it's compulsive. He doesn't really realize he's doing it and doesn't intend to cause physical damage(whereas its the opposite with self-harming) but he knows its a thing. Trichotillomania (hair pulling) and skin picking are commonly seen in autistic people. It can serve as a way to self-soothe and self-stimulate the individual in day to day life. Some Autism Specialists can classify this behavior as a SIB(Self-Injurious-Behavior) since it is harmful to the person's body. Also I do this a lot, have been for several years and once again the projection is real.
-Also Tucker in this AU has a really hardcore squish(friend crush) on Valerie but doesn't really understand/realize that he just wants to be friends with her and thus pursued her in a romantic manner.
Timeline wise in the AU: The first half, in Tucker’s POV, takes place right after Parental Bonding, through One of a Kind and mid way through pt one of French Braids. The second half, Valerie’s POV, is after pt one of French Braids and in between Attack of the Killer Garage Sale and Splitting Images.

When Tucker fully comes back into his body, he's at the homecoming dance. Dragon Sam’s been subdued and back to her normal self and the three of them are standing in the middle of the dance floor.
“Dude, sorry your date didn't pan out. Where is Paulina anyway?” asks Tucker, the words taste bitter in his mouth as he says them.
Sam shrugs, “Ah, who cares? Look, the DJ's still playing. I think there's time for one last dance?”
“Sure, I’d love to,” Danny turns and hands the amulet to Tucker. “Keep an eye on this will you?”
Danny doesn’t bother waiting for an answer before dropping the amulet in Tucker’s hands. Tucker’s fingers instinctively curl around the amulet and Tucker turns away from Danny’s smile because all he can see now is Danny’s green eyes smiling at him before Danny took over. How come he didn’t get an apology for being forced to stand up Valerie? How come he’s the only one who doesn’t get a happy ending this time around? How come Danny gets to pretend like none of this ever happened while he was stuck with the aftermath?
Tucker swallows the lump in his chest, “Wait a second,” he begins, “I’m dateless again?! What does a guy have to do to get hooked up around here?”
“I want to go to the ball!” wails Dora.
He doesn’t know why he had to turn his feelings into a mere joke. He does of course. Because no one here really thinks his feelings matter and jokes are the only way he has right now to process it. Tucker knows this but can’t help the heartache and nausea bury when Danny and Sam laugh at his misfortune. Can they not see that he’s hurting or do they just not care ?
The fourteen year old forces a smile on his face as he steps away from Dora. “Maybe I don’t need a date that badly,” he says and runs away from the blooming romance and the burning in his chest.
~~~~~~~
Home should be safe. Home was safe. Home was where it happened, so how safe was he? Tucker opens the door and both of his parents are there, sitting at the table waiting for him.
How safe were they? Were any of them safe anymore?
His parents look up from the card game they were playing, “Tucker?” his mom asks, with confusion in her eyes. “It’s pretty early, you shouldn’t be home for another hour or two.”
Tucker shakes his head, kicking the door behind him. “Wanted to go home early.” He turns around facing the door and locks it, and with it, his emotions.
Maurice blinks, laying down his cards. “Did something happen dear?”
Tucker shakes his head even harder. “It’s nothing,” his voice cracks slightly and he can feel his parents' looks of concern.
Maurice stands up and slowly walks towards him, “Something happened dear,” he says softly and Tucker just knows that he can’t keep up this facade any longer. “Whatever happened, it’ll be okay.”
“No it won’t,” he says in a rough whisper. Maybe, if he keeps his eyes down then he won't lose it. “It won’t ever be.”
Maurice tries to wrap his arm around his son but steps back when his son roughly pushes him away. He tries again, but this time, he gently takes one of his son's hands and holds it in his. “Please, just talk to us.”
It’s the desperation in his dad’s voice that does it for him, that finally gets him to talk. “I stood up Valerie,” he says, voice cracking and thick with emotion, growing more and more panicked by the second. “I didn’t want to, I didn’t want to, I didn’t have a choice.”
“What do you mean, you didn’t have a choice?” Angela asks, coming up to him and taking his other hand in hers.
“I was possessed! Da-A ghost took over my body!” Tucker shouts and that’s the moment he breaks down, pulling his hands away from his parents and holding him close to his chest-if he holds his chest, then no one can enter his body. That burning in his chest is back as he sobs brokenly. Here he was, breaking down over something Danny did to him and here he is, still holding on to Danny’s secret. Where was the fairness in that? “I didn’t want to!”
Maurice gets over his initial shock at Tucker’s outburst, before he jumps in to help his hurting son. “Tucker, can you take deep breaths with me?” he takes exaggerated deep breaths, “Follow my breathing.”
“I can’t,” he manages to say through a sob, “It’s not safe, you aren’t safe, none of us are safe.”
“You’re safe honey, you’re safe,” Angela says, sliding off his hat and gently stroking his hair in an effort to calm him down. “Maybe we can go to the Fentons-”
Tucker reels back and the panic kicks into overdrive, “No!” The sobbing grows into deep and broken wails. They can’t go to Ground Zero, where the source of this misery originated from, because then all three of them definitely won’t be safe. Home is safer, Home has to be safer, Home needs to be safer.
Maurice and Angela look at each other in confusion, unable to understand why their child was so adamant about not going to the Fentons. Both parents put aside their confusion to help their son calm down, taking nearly 45 minutes to do so. Once Tucker was calm, they gave him some water and some medications to help him sleep through the night. Maurice walks his son upstairs, stands outside the door as he changes into pajamas and personally tucks his son in for the night, turning out the light and leaving Tucker’s door slightly ajar.
Tucker doesn’t leave the house for the rest of the weekend.
~~~~~~
Tucker wants to stay away from Danny, he doesn’t feel safe near him anymore. He doesn’t know when his best friend is going to overshadow his body and take control of him.
He’s just on the brink of telling Danny to leave him alone, to not talk to him anymore when Danny says he needs them both to help him with ghost hunting and studying for the test.
Tucker feels the no on his tongue, practically taste it, but instead a sour yes spills out instead.
The incident with the Purple Back Gorilla happens and the week passes by quickly. Tucker can not help but feel uneasy, thankful when the weekend comes by.
Somehow, someway he’s at the grocery store and he comes across Valerie pushing a cart with a little kid inside of it. Nerves garble his voice even as he clears his voice, “Valerie? I’ve been wanting to talk to you for a while.”
“Go away Tucker,” she says and he can hear the anger boiling in her.
“I know I messed up-”
She whips around, her green eyes narrowing at him in anger and he feels so small right about now. “You left me!” she hisses, “I was alone!”
Tucker winces, rubbing his neck. “Let me explain Valerie.”
"You don't get to explain how you stood me up at homecoming," Valerie starts, her voice tight. "You don't get to waltz in here-" Her shoulders deflate, the anger leaving her body and soon washes her over with sadness. Tucker knows that she’s holding herself back and he can only assume it’s because of the kid in the cart.
"Go," she points down the aisle, "I don't want to hear your excuses."
Tucker bows his head in shame, walking down the aisle and out of the store with the few items he bought, his chance to repair...whatever he wanted to have with Valerie gone.
~~~~~
Valerie doesn’t know how to forgive someone. She’s never really had to, because people usually don’t hurt her this badly. Usually they apologize on the spot for some minor thing and Valerie instantly forgives them because she knows that they meant her no harm.
But with Tucker? She has no idea where to begin. The only reason she’s considering forgiving Tucker in the first place is because Clockwork told her that Tucker didn’t want to stand her up, that he didn’t mean to hurt her, that Clockwork knew what happened that night but couldn’t tell her.
Clockwork leans over her shoulder as she contemplates sending Tucker a text. “What are you doing?” they ask, sipping on their juice.
“Trying to send a text,” she says, “To Tucker to talk about...you know.”
Clockwork tilts their head before nodding in realization. “What’s stopping you?”
“I don’t know what to say!” Valerie says, throwing her hands up in frustration. “That’s just it!”
The small child shrugs, “Mmm, just go with what feels right?” they question in a stilted voice.
Valerie raises an eyebrow, “That doesn’t sound like you.”
“I picked it up from someone on one of the TV shows you were watching,” Clockwork says, “I thought it was appropriate.”
It was appropriate, she has to give them that, no matter how stilted and unnatural they sounded while saying it. She encouragingly rubs their back, “You did good, though.” she praises, pulling them in close to her for a side hug.
Valerie’s thumb hovers over the keyboard, typing and retyping her message until she’s satisfied with it and pressing send.
You: I’ve thought about it and I’m giving you one chance to explain yourself. Meet me at the park at 5:30. I’ll be at the tables near the swings.
Several minutes pass by before she feels her phone vibrate, looking down to see the notification.
Tucker: Okay, meet you there.
Valerie sighs, pulling away from Clockwork. She sits up, checks the time on her phone. It’s 4:45 now and the park was only a five to ten minute walk from the Nasty Burger. Then again, it didn’t hurt to be early, Clockwork could play on the swings while she waits for him to meet her.
“You finished with your food?” she asks Clockwork, who nods. “Come on, we’re heading to the park.”
“Whoo!” exclaims Clockwork, eagerly sliding out of the dining booth. Valerie shakes her head with a smile, picking up their trays, dumping the food and sitting the trays on top of the trash cans as they walk out of the diner. Traffic was a little heavy, which only set them back by five minutes and the two managed to get to Amity Park in a timely manner.
Once they’re in the park, Valerie hunts for the set of swings. She quickly finds it, the tables she mentioned earlier close by. She sits down at the wooden tables and tells Clockwork to go play on the swing, which they do without a fuss. Valerie checks her phone again, the time now 5:05, leaving her with only twenty five minutes till Tucker was supposed to be here. She decides to scroll through her social media, occasionally breaking away from her phone to check on Clockwork.
Valerie feels the table and bench groan and shift under new weight, she looks up and Tucker is sitting right across from her.
He looks nervous and uncertain. So is she.
Turning her phone screen off and placing it face down on the table, Valerie sits there in silence for a moment before speaking.
“Uh, speak your truth,” Valerie says awkwardly and she wishes that she had gone over what she was going to say. “Don’t bullshit me.”
“I got possessed by a ghost,” Tucker says, looking away from her and throwing his hands out. “I don’t remember what happened when I was possessed.
“We’re her best friends! We should have known.” Danny laments.
“It’s not our responsibility to read and protect Sam’s emotions, she should have said she wanted to go to the dance from the beginning,” Tucker says back, straightening his tie a bit. “There’s nothing we can do about it now anyways.”
Danny thinks for a moment, then a mischievous smile appears as green eyes flash at Tucker.
Tucker realizes what Danny wants him to do, “No way. Forget it. Absolutely not. No!” he loudly protests and the next thing he knows, he’s feeling a gaping hole in his chest as his consciousness is taken over by Danny.
“You were possessed….by a ghost?” Valerie asks incredulously, she feels something tugging her arms. Looking down, she sees Clockwork looking up at her with their big eyes, silently saying “He’s telling the truth.”
Tucker’s nods, “I know that sounds absurd and it sounds stupid but it happened and I’m so sorry that I stood you up.” Tucker pleads, holding his face in his hands, one of them crawling up to his head and pulling at the short curls. “I didn’t mean to hurt you, I’m so, so sorry.”
Valerie notices how distressed Tucker sounds, how his voice cracks a tiny bit after he shields his face from her and how broken Tucker looks and sounds. There have been plenty of ghosts attacks in the city and it sounds just as likely he was possessed by one of these ghosts. He didn’t have a reason to make any of this up; it wouldn’t have made sense if he did since he was too excited to be her date to the dance.
Clockwork’s words ring in her head, “If it helps, he didn't want to hurt you.He didn't want to though," and she gets it. She finally gets it.
Valerie reaches out, uncertain as she pulls Tucker’s hands away from his hair, not saying anything as she notices blood staining the pads of his fingers and holds it in her hand. Tucker stops shaking, stops pleading, simply stops and looks at Valerie, waiting for her to confirm his worst suspicions.
“That possession stuff? That’s some weak shit fam,” she says, “But I forgive you.”
Tucker’s body sags with relief, and the unheard ‘Thank You’ is loud enough for all three of them at the table.
Clockwork reaches forward, takes one of Tucker’s hands and holds it.
Valerie grabs a tissue and some hand sanitizer out of her book bag, squeezes some on the tissue and begins gently wiping the blood off of his finger pads. He tries to pull back but Valerie tightens her grip on him.
“Let...let us handle this,” she says softly, continuing to wipe the blood off his fingers. “Why so much blood?”
Tucker looks away in embarrassment. “I have a thing where I can’t help but pick at the scabs in my hair,” he explains, “It gets really bad sometimes.”
“I bet what happened hasn’t helped any,” Valerie says, silently gesturing for Clockwork to give her his other hand so she can continue. “Do you remember the ghost who did it?”
Tucker shakes his head, “No,” The lie comes too easily. The little kid sitting next to Valerie eyes him with some scrutiny, and Tucker resists the urge to pull away from Valerie while wondering if this kid knew more than they let on. “What would you do if you ever found them?”
“Punch them in the face,” Valerie says without skipping a beat, oblivious to Clockwork’s and Tucker’s simultaneous wince. “No ghost gets away with possessing my friends.”
“Friend?” Tucker repeats back, “We’re friends?”
“Well, yeah,” Valerie answers, as if it wasn’t obvious. “You’re my friend now.”
Tucker blinks several times to make sure he heard her properly. “Oh, okay.”
Valerie finishes wiping the blood off of his fingers and he slowly pulls them back towards his chest. “I should go home now,” Tucker says, standing up and pulling away from the table.
“Why don’t we go with you? Me and...Isaiah can keep you company while you walk home. Ghosts probably won’t attack if all three of us are together.” Valerie says, standing up to wipe the imaginary dirt off her orange skirt. Isaiah follows suit, tightly holding her hand. “You in?”
“Sure,” he stutters. The three begin the walk to Tucker’s house and as they walk, he can’t help but focus on how safe he feels with Valerie and Isaiah and feels that gaping hole in his chest slowly begin to heal.
I’m adding a prologue
6 months before the JL was called in
Jazz had finally convinced Danny to tell his parents that he was half ghost. Sam and Tucker were on standby in case things went wrong.
Danny was so tired Frostbite had finally told him that he was conceded the prince of the infinite realm and would be crowned at 25. If his Parents or the GIW got him they would be declaring war.
Clockwork and Pandora started to introduce him to other leaders in the zone. If his parents didn’t accept him he would book it into the portal and stay with various leaders until his living half forced him back to the living world.
He had said his goodbyes had a bug-out bag right next to the portal. Jazz squeezed hi shoulder in comfort. “Mom Dad I have something to tell you”
“Hey Danno we were just improving the Fenton peeler now it will strip the skin off a ghost 20 ft away.”
“Hey sweetie what up?”
“Do you remember how the portal didn’t work when you first tried to turn it on and I got shocked?”
“Why of course sweetie that delay reaction gave you the shakes for months we we’re starting to look into specialist after you were banned from lads at school. It luck that you started to get better.”
“The reason that it was a delayed reaction is because the on switch was on the inside and it was turned off. I was showing off for Sam and tried it didn’t just shock me.”
Jack’s eyes crinkled in confusion “but Danny that kind of power would kill you.”
Jazz gave him a final squeeze and went forward to the left a little. Far enough away to get in front of him if needed but out of the way enough to not block their parents view. Sam and Tucker creeped up behind the Dr Fentons ready to restrain or at least impair them.
Danny let the safe feel of ice wash over him as he changed from Fenton to Phantom. “It only managed to half kill me.”
Danny knew as soon as he changed they had rejected him Mo..no Maddie reached for her gun ready to kill him all the way. Da.. no Jack got up to lung and Tucker pounced.
“Danny run!” Jazz knew that she would not be able to hold Maddie for long.
Danny fazed downstairs near the portal and grabbed his bag. He was not surprised even though they accepted him in the reality gauntlet time line he knew that they wouldn’t now.
He didn’t even look back as he entered the portal. Clockwork was waiting for him “I know you can’t tell me much Peepaw but will my human fright be okay?”
“Yes young Prince all is as it should be now come My Friend Lady Gotham is waiting for you.”
Danny followed Clockwork not knowing that he was now on the path to gain new allies getting caught and dissected on his second trip back to the living world to see Red Huntress. He would be hurt and the realms be one strep closer to war but he would get a new set of parents. The two ghost he befriended in Lady Gotham’s court would follow him on his trip and saved him from the Dr. Fentons. He would later learn that Mar and Tad had a living son.
Danny would later lose his shit finding out that BATMAN was now his big brother and he was an Uncle about 6 times over.
Alright a little thing.
It’s not the Justice League that comes to help Danny protect Amity Park after Pariah Dark is felled, well not technically the League.
The new Ghosts that walk the streets, that spar with the living and dead, that haunt the Fenton Portal in such numbers that the town approved an expansion for the Fentons’ Lab. These Ghosts are Kryptonian, Martian, Thanagarian, they Gail from every world with a concept of protection and kindness, they wear the colors and uniforms they served in while alive, whether that be with the crests of Kryptonian houses, Thanagarian warriors, or the Martian Military. They all now bear Phantom’s seal, and it’s during one of Phantoms attempts to get away from Superman somewhere above Pennsylvania that Superman meets one such warrior.
——————————————
The field he follows Phantom into is marred only by the Ghost Boy’s impact crater, he hadn’t meant to hit him that hard but anything less would not have stunned him.
“Surrender Phantom, there’s no where to run.” The boy looks terrified as he scrambled to get up, staggering and falling twice.
“No, no I’m sorry please, just, just leave me alone!” Superman approaches, caution in mind as he closes to get the inhibitor cuffs on Phantom, only for a pair of figures appear between them, the taller one, wearing a HAZMAT suit crouches and collects Phantom while the second stubs Superman.
It’s a soldier of Krypton, with matte white painted armor of a militiaman, and the House of El’s crest displayed on their chest. “What? Who are you?”
The soldier turns, and the helmets sight being focused on him gives him pause. “Will you pursue him?” Superman blinks at the question.
“What? Yes, he needs to come to the Watchtower to- URGH” The soldier was faster, Clark realized, faster and better trained. Before Clark could even argue he’d been thrown hard enough to break the sound barrier, and when he twisted in the air, trying to recover, he was smashed again, and he realized they had flown out over the Atlantic.
Who was this guy?
As Superman turned to face the direction he’d last been hit from he noticed that the Soldier hadn’t followed, he was gone, but in his last place was a fluorescent green balloon with a box tied to it. When Clark opened that box on the ground it had two items in it, a patch, obviously a military one from Krypton, and a note.
[Leave the boy be Kal-El, we dead do not take kindly to him being harassed by a government that wants him vivisected]
Clark knew one thing, he had to bring this to the League, and tell them of the Soldier.
