In the Danny is Damian’s brother trope what if instead of Damian not telling the family about Danny wasn’t because of grief or shame or any of the more commonly used reasons for his silence. What if it was because he heard about how his father talked about Jason after his death, focusing and exaggerating the negative. That he was violent, angry, never listened to orders but in some iterations and popular fanon is that Jason was a cheerful and studious Robin.
What if while compiling info and researching the former robins during his tumultuous introduction he saw what kind of robin Jason was, good with kids and victims. Talking about his favorite books while on patrol and similar. Reminding Damian of his most Beloved brother.
Then he finds out about how Bruce talked about Jason after he died. Using him as an example as what not to do, erasing his good traits and just using him as a cautionary tale of what happens when you don’t follow orders. Just like what Ra’s said about Danny.
So he didn’t tell the family, not out of guilt or grief. But because his father stripped away Jason’s positive traits after death, the son he chose, adopted and loved. Who when he failed because he was a child led astray by his mother. What would he do to his brother, who loved the stars and excelled in stealth, who was quite in his kills but had no lust for killing.
Whether or not Bruce would do this to Danny’s memory doesn’t matter. B’s actions are gonna affect how Damian views his father even years after the initial actions. Because Damian will protect his brothers memory from being twisted even by their father.

The Fenton's powering the town via a portal to all times and dimensions is underused for eldritch town purposes. What if Sam's parents got replaced by a relative from the 60s and no one remembered? What about traits changing and no one commenting? People moving away only to have never considered moving a week later? And maybe only Danny and other ghosts notice.
This itches part of my brain in a good way. It also makes me think of nightvale and gravity falls as similar eldritch areas/hubs for the weird.
I've seen plenty if scenarios where amity is weird because of ambient ectoplasm leaking from the portal. Connecting ectoplasm to the power grid is just gonna speed that leak up. Pair this with amity canonically surviving both an apocalypse (via dan) and a trip to the zone (via pariah dark) due to the advanced ghost sheild it has. And mix in the headcannon the the giw pulled a massive coverup and basically wiped amity off the map and prevents people from contacting the outside world with tech. Maybe run with the amity is hard to find or leave due to dimension/ghost/magic. And we have a lovely little horror town.
Amity park, a place that is entirely paranormal, out of time, and technologically independent. A place that can survive virtually anything with its sheilds. A place where ghosts attack so regularly that the school has drills on how to react. A place that's been attacked by multiple gods in a short period of time. A place where the weatherman reports ghost attacks and if a specific person is going to be driving that day. (Asside the amount of visable crimes we see jack do, not just in driving but osha violations, assult, and property damage is making me wonder if he has some sort of diplomatic immunity. Why is he not in jail?)
The point is amity is absolutely a place where if you're driving late at night and your car breaks down, you find that you're not in kansas anymore. They have immaculately created an environment that sets of 'somethings not right here' vibes. And thats without looking at the physical effects of having an interdementional portal running the city's energy grid, the actual ghost attacks and the weird shit from that. I like to imagine that after undergrowths attack there are still parts of the city that haven't been reclaimed from plant hell. Gravity probably doesn't work right consistently. There's just pools of ectoplasm around from fights and there's a chance that if you poke those pools with a stick, the pool will come alive. There is a cooked turkey living in the alleys and gathering an army of living hot dogs. The teenagers all have been trained to fight and use weapons. There's a military presence trying to hush things up and attacking civilians.
Amity has so fully embraced being weird! i need more stories of normal people, or outside heroes, recognizing that this place is messed up and basically feeling like they're in a horror movie. Meanwhile everyone in amity is perfectly polite and adjusted to the weird. Crime is at an all time low, reparing property damage has been reduced down to a science, and a little common sense can get you out of most situations. All else fails just wait for Phantom.
Anything can be normal if you live in it long enough. But that doesn't mean the unprepared aren't right to be afraid

Okay so of course we're gonna make this dead on main because danny also would get his mark to change. Meanwhile jason get to go through it and use his resources and detective skills to find jack shit.
-
they're fourteen when danny dies. The words jason had until then were fairly innocuous, if cursed. "What's the worse that can happen." Jason had always hated them because it was like some kind of dark prophecy. He knew that the worse would happen but he couldn’t do anything about it.
When danny dies the first time the words that are in Jason's skin, bright red like all soulmarks, abruptly fade to scar white and jason feels his heart crumble. 14. They were goddamn kids and his soulmate was already dead and gone. He greives hard for all of ten minutes before his arm stings and new words have appeared where the old soulmark had scarred. Only these were bizarre. Bright green instead of red. And just as cruel as the first set. "I'm fine."
If his soulmate had been revived from whatever had killed them, they certainly weren't fine if they were going to die again.
The day only got worse on Jason's side of things. The green words kept fading, though not scarring like the first, and changing to something else. "I'm sorry." "Don't worry, Jazz." "I just feel a little sick." "I'm fine, mom."
Jason could only imagine his soulmate was in the hospital and having a series of heart attacks to be dying so often. And he spent what little time he was awake telling his family he was okay. Bullshit. Jason decided he wouldn't beleive a word his soulmate said if they somehow managed to meet after this. If his soulmate survived the night.
The night was spent at home with cocoa and Alfred. Robin was to distracted to fly. Instead jason spent the time he wasn’t using to glare at his mark to research who'd been admitted to the hospitals across the nation. It was a frustratingly large net. He knew his soulmate was with someone named Jazz, but hospitals were scant on details when it came to visitors. Chances were there was a paper sign in sheet with Jazz's name on it but that did Jason jack shit in finding his soulmate.
Eventual the words stuck for more than a few hours and Jason felt like he could breath again. He knew his soulmate wasnt out of hot water but he wasn’t dying right that instant.
"I want to be an astronaut, dad."
It was sad. But it was a precious detail that jason now had and could keep close to his chest.
It would be a week before his soulmate died again and the words about a dream dissappeared. They were gone for a couple of minutes this time before new ones finally appeared and Jason was able to breath again. The panic subsided and jason ended up puking because the stress had gotten to him. It took a while of just breathing before he had the guts to read the new words.
And...
"I'm uh... going ghost."
His soulmate was an asshole.
- hestia
A soulmate AU where you have the last words your soulmate will say to you before they die as a soulmark would be very interesting with the Danny Phantom fandom.
Would the soulmark change after the portal accident, but then stay the same until Danny's final death? Or would the mark change every time he transforms because he's technically dead in his ghost form? Does the mark change color or fade when he's in his ghost form? Or does it stay the same?
What if his soulmate met him once when they were kids? They just bumped into each other. Maybe the words are generic, but maybe they're not. Maybe his soulmate has to grow up knowing that they'll never meet again. And then after Danny's accident, their soulmark changes. Do they assume that Danny was revived and they'll meet again someday? Or do they assume that their mark is for a new person?
What if the soulmark words are super generic? Everyday Danny and his soulmate meet. Everyday their mark changes. But, they can't figure out who the other is because their marks are basic greetings or apologies.
Maybe Danny's soulmark stays the same while his soulmate's keeps changing.

Communal DPxDC tag blocklist
heyy, so i'm just gonna share all the tags i've been using to block DPxDC posts bc i think it might be helpful for others trying to avoid those crossover posts.
First, the official tag that is meant to be used for dp and dc crossover posts is DPxDC (without spaces) and you are not supposed to tag either of the main fandoms when you make a DPxDC post.
That being said, my blocked tags are:

There is also the option to put things in 'Filtered Post Content' which is right below 'Filtered Tags' and I've recently started to use it to block
DPxDC
As noted in the last reblog of this post, you can go full scorched earth in Filtered Post Content with one fandom to try and avoid DPxDC crossover posts as well. This doesn't work personally for me, since I like both fandoms separately, but it might be useful for others.
Please feel free to add to the blocklist!

Apocalypse: introduction
Danny Phantom/Justice League Zombie apocalypse AU that doesn’t really have a name or purpose but this is what it is and this is what we shall call it unless a better name opportunity comes up
Just so y’all know what your getting into.
This story is set in like 2005 when the shows came out. This has been a concept I have written on for a while like a couple years and now ima post what I have here. And try to keep posting but I honestly probably won’t that often. But I wanna know what people thing so ima post it.
So the zombie apocalypse. I can’t say much about how it happens but Jack and Maddie Fenton were government scientists and they worked on genetically mutating viruses. Something went wrong and no one noticed till it was too late.
In this au Danny Fenton and the human personas of the justice league and young justice characters are in this. Well DC comic characters. There is some super humans fantasy stuff in this but for the most part everyone is human-ish.
This story will not end with the whole “oh we can cure the world” no people who is dead and turned stay turned or dead. This story will continue. And after I post the first chapters n stuff and we get around to introducing more characters and deeper plot lines n shit I will put up a poll for love interests and couples and what should happen to them as time goes on and if there are any participants.
I might even do art, who knows.
But im posting on here cause I’m tired of all the other formats and I am pretty sure I can change the color on here, making it more dramatic ya know.

Was told to add some lore we figured out,
So the music box was made pressumably around the founding of gotham, when the witch who cursed the land was being hunted.
The witch used gemstones to cast the very large curse across gotham's lands and locked the gems in a box, and curse the box for extra protection.
Her curse was something along the lines of "so long as Gotham is cursed so too are these gems. Whoever finds this box will become a teenager of the opposite sex, so they may know what it means to be hunted. They'll be as magical as they beleive me to be but at the cost of their life force. The curse of gotham is a curse on these gem users"
And she did this with the expectation that the gems would be found by the old religious men hunting her for sport, so that they'd experience the pain of becoming a teenage girl with magic and be hunted by all their friends. And the magic itself would kill them.
The problem is she tied the curse to gotham's curses and gotham happened to get way more cursed over the years, making the gems very powerful and the magic pretty freaking wild. She didn't predict the gems being found by children or girls. So 10 year old dick grayson becoming a 17 year old girl wasnt something she imagined, nor Barbara becoming a boy because the spell didn't specify girl, just opposite sex (i dont know how itd work on an intersex person honestly). 300 years is a long time for a spell to go wacky.
And since it's powered by gotham's curses and will survive so long as gotham is cursed, its wild magic developed a self preservation instinct. And in turn it could feed magically on the curses the users break or cure. Like the gems are eating the magic of other curses to be the ultimate curse. Ironically the self-sustaining nature of the spell makes the robins functionally immortal until gotham's curses are fully broken. The life force drain does still put strain on their bodies, which is what causes the shared pain from major wounds and white streaks, which is likely a stress response.
Likewise the phrase 'know what it is to be hunted' was vague enough that the spell just attracts general bad luck and attention. And the 'as magical as they beleive me to be' became more generalized to mean the stones are as magical as the usere beleives they are. Opening the potential for infinite growth.
We also discussed some other forms the gems could provide, unlocked usually as a survival method. The weapons themselves have the 3 specific modes and are powered by light constructs. The outfits start as jumpsuits with light designs as the frills and ribbons and such but as the weapons grow more powerful, the light is drawn into their weapon and their outfits become more simple. Said light constructs glow neon.
The outfit forms can change depending on the wearers survival needs. The light constructs making a water outfit to survive underwater scenarios for example or a space suit to survive in space. The weapon forms are rather locked in but the survival outfits vary considerably.
It should also be noted that the magic allows wiggle room for functionality. So light construct heels won't lead to rolled ankles. No ones grabbing flying ribbons or long hair in a fight. And the impractical nature of their base weapons still do damage and hit hard despite being a hula hoop or dance ribbon. The magic compensates a lot.

More Lore Stuff magical girl AU
I had a back-and-forth with @dannyphantom-justiceleauge on Dircord. I got some more video recomanations for more stuff. And we chatted a lot about lore stuff they were curious about after my first post, so here is the summary of what we discussed + some extra bits. Their magical forms Regarding their magical forms, they do gain a bit of heightened flexibility. But they have to train in it to unlock more power-up forms. They do not change with them as they age; they are in the limbo stage at almost adulthood. (Insert joke about Tim forever being 17, blaming the magical girl curse for his stature. p.s it's not the curses doing) It's a curse and not a blessing, so why? First of all, the curse is all about self-preservation over the well-being of its Robins; it will heal them from lethal wounds as it needs them to be as strong as it is, but their mental healing is neglected. It is partly self-aware to the point that it wants to grow stronger. How does it get stronger? by having more people cursed into magical girls. But it can't curse people in quick succession. It has to recharge. It heals by forcing the Robin to transform when they are not in view of interference. the magical veil kicks in hard drive. So, the only one who can see her for the rescue portion is a fellow Robin. And the cursed has stay as magical girl form for the duration of the healing prosses. As the curse comes with an unwanted genderswap for everyone. it takes a toll on some of them harder than others. Can't exactly reassure the family you're fine when you're not you; they are lucky they can text. (Good thing Dick got a big apartment) The side effects of healing are also no joke. They are felt as phantom pains for every Robin, sharing the burden of hurt and taking energy to heal. In magical form, this manifests as a white streak on the individual who has had a prolonged stay in their magical form to heal. Babs, Jay, Tim, and Dami, I'm pretty sure, are in Got streaks club. The curse is also a danger magnet. The stronger it's Robins, the stronger it gets, you know. It also comes with the side effect of not being able to speak about the curse or warn anyone about it. The only one they can communicate about the curse freely is a fellow Robin. This is part of the magical veil I talked about. It makes people unable to connect the dots on who the Robins are as civilians. but it can also hide them from detection if they get badly hurt for eveyone but thier fellow Robins. Or for shorter times when to be in public as normal is needed. The Curse also makes them forget where they got the powers from. So, they have a hard time keeping track of the cursed music box. However, it usually stays close unless it wants more Robins. Living situation. They are more spread out, such as Cass staying with Babs. Tim gets smuggled into the manor under the pretense he can stay until his parents return from their trip. (it's been months) Dick gets his apartment still as they need some to go, not under Bruce's watch. How did it get to that point? Well, someone accidentally took the OG cured box with them to school on "accident". That's how Tim found it after it got " lost". Bruce is a bit of a better parent in this AU; got therapy for kids, as he saw them struggling and them "not" being vigilantes meant they could make use of therapy, unlike him. Though the Curse's Gaise is keeping them mum about their identity. So, they have to speak in metaphors if they want help from the therapists. So I read this book, I had a nightmare, on the news, scary game. Not to mention the body dysphoria. But that one is a bit of a sliding scale for who took it worse.
as @dannyphantom-justiceleauge put it; "I could see Tim being more fluid, and Cass being agender. Dick isn't as bothered by it as he feels he should be but that's more because he has a healthy relationship with gender than because he's comfortable with the.. changed parts. Hes him no matter the body even if its a bit weird Tim and Cass are fully in the, eh it doesnt matter camp. Babs, Jason, Damien, and Steph are having struggles tho
Duke also strikes me as less bothered by it. He has different priorities."
Jay may not have had to deal with voice cracks for his extended stay as a magical girl, but the growing he did, but not know it, it was a bit of a shock to him. bigger body and different voice when he finally got turned back into a guy really rocked his mental health. But on the positive side of things where, they could adapt the coping skills they learned in therapy. Bruce don't know what the kids are up to with the magic thing. He just thing they got close sibling bonds and likes to hang out. Alfred knows the kids are up to somthing but can't say for sure what they are up. His best guess is they are hanging out with friends doing gymnastics with friends as a sort of club thing. Bruce's thoughts on the Magical girls. Of course, he is worried for their safety, as he has been repeatedly saved from peril by them, who would jump in the way of lethal attacks to protect him. He is under the misconception that they are using tech and not magic. He made the mistake of commenting on the white streak in someone's hair. And got the explanation that it's a side effect of them kinda dying for a bit. causing him to jump to the conclusion that if their hair turns all white, they'll die. (They won't, but he doesn't know that) all in all, causing him grey hair. He likes that the use non lethal attacks, and kinda has a mini freak out when he learns they got a lethal mode. Who are they fighting? Rouges, mostly, But they are trying to Cleanse Gotham of curses cuz that's the only way to break their curse. We talked about weapons having 3 forms. The initial one you see in the first post is an alt mode and their lethal mode. Because i planned on doing power ups. The weapons also come with sound effects. Think Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha's weapon with voice effects. Also, on a side note, Dami was not happy with his base form weapon, only to be likewise annoyed when a long time after he found out the lethal version of his weapon is a sword. The first one to unlock lethal mode is Dick after what Joker did to Jay and Babs. (when the gloves come of their is penance to pay clown) Think escrima sticks with eclectic blades attached. His alt mode is just bigger flags. Babs i've also fully wotk out it starts as a hula hoop, turs cyr wheel in alt mode then a Giant Shuriken for lethal mode. Cas's Weapon Voice clips.
Dami's
Babs's
Duke's
Dick's
Jay's
Stef's
Tim's, I will have to share later Cuz I accidentally exceeded the limit of uploads in a day ops. But to make it up to you, I'll tell you Tim's full weapon sequence.
Base form twirling baton, alt mode is a more extended staff, and lethal mode is a scythe. and a bonus vids for @dannyphantom-justiceleauge suggestions that gets included in the AU.

According to DC Database, Jason Blood / Etrigan lives in CRIME ALLEY in GOTHAM
People are UNDERUTILIZING him in fics!! I want to change that.
What if Danny is teleported into crime alley via ghost portal with amnesia. He knows how to use his powers but he doesn't remember anything else about himself.
Instead of being found by a Batfam member, he was found by Jason Blood//Etrigan when he is attacked by some thugs or potentially just found unconscious. Maybe he sees the portal appear and sees Danny fall through it. Or is it caught up in a parallel event that will affect both worlds if they don't do something and convince the Justice League to help?
Jason would help him, considering he is young and obviously in a bad situation. If Danny doesn't have amnesia he would definitely be confused by Etrigan but also empathize with them. Being different is nothing to be ashamed of if you are a good person.
But this is definetly underused, you are one hundred percent right. Etrigan would be an amazing character to introduce Danny Phantom to the DC world and could potentially be a good influence depending on what is going on in the story. It would be great to see expansion on the Danny's Interactions with other characters and how it could effect his character in a way. Adult Danny is completely fanon after all. But I love this idea ehhhee

who wants to hear the crackiest fic i’ve come up with yet?
too late you’re gonna hear it now
Okay, so it’s a Superman Returns/Smallville/Krypton and Danny Phantom crossover and the Fentons go to the Daily Planet one day to get interviewed about the ghosts in their town (two years after Danny first gets his powers). While they’re there, Lex Luthor attacks with a piece of kryptonite and is able to force Clark to reveal his secret identity. Danny’s about to reveal his, too, just to stop Lex, but Jazz steps up with the Infimap (why does she have it? idk fam) and grabs Lex and tells it to get them away from there. The map takes them to parts unknown.
Everyone is freaking tf out because what just happened, but none more so than Jack and Maddie, whose daughter has just gone missing. Danny tries to reassure them everything’s going to be okay, that Jazz just used poor wording and needs to tell the map to bring them back. Naturally, his parents are wondering how he knows that about a magical map.
Just as Danny’s about to explain, Lex and Jazz, a few years older, appear with a third man. The most obvious factor in knowing it’s been a while is that Jazz is pregnant and in labor.
Cue freaking out and lots of screaming and Lex trying to explain what happened to the Fentons, Superman, and the man that came with him and Jazz. Jazz, meanwhile, is asking the other man if he got him on the ship because they didn’t know how much time they had, and the man assures her that yes, their son is safe.
Jazz is a little busy being in labor and doesn’t realize she’s back on Earth until she’s got a baby in her arms and the adrenaline comes down. By this time, everyone’s figured out that Jazz and this mystery man are married, even though they’re speaking a different language.
Lex takes a crystal out of his pocket like the ones in Superman Returns and “unlocks” it. Clark, Lois, and Richard, who have all seen the crystals and know they can turn into freaking continents when put in water, start freaking out, but Lex kind of just rolls his eyes and takes some medical equipment out of it then gives it to Clark, who had no idea they could do that. Lex stitches Jazz up while Jazz talks to her husband and cries over how she’s not going to get to see their children grow up.
Eventually, Jack and Maddie get over their shock and start talking to Jazz, and it clicks that she’s back on Earth. Cue wave two of sadness because she’s not going to get to see her son grow up and why did the stupid map finally send her back after five years and hormones. So Lex has to explain.
Sixty seconds for Earth was five years for him and Jazz, and eventually they gave up on getting the map to take them back and settled into their new lives, accepting they only had five years to live. Everyone’s like “hey why five years?” and Lex says “because we were on Krypton, in the past.”
He apologizes to Superman and says he was wrong and knowing his parents, if he was anything like them, he really was being a hero for the right reasons (the only way this fic works is if Lex thinks Superman is in it for worship or going to turn on them and enslave them or something don’t look at the plot holes). Clark’s a little flabbergasted trying to process everything and asks how Lex knows his parents.
Lex hesitates and says, for one, he’s his step-grandfather. He kind of tears up talking about his wife Nyssa and says he was great friends with Seg and Lyta (who’s Lyta? Clark asks. I’ll get to that later.) and he can’t believe the map brought them back at that moment instead of letting them die with the planet in a few days.
Danny, who’s a bit more knowledgeable about the Infimap and has been checking it out half this time, asks what the time and date were when they left. Lex tells him, and Danny explains the planet exploded before Jazz would have given birth to the second baby and the calculations were wrong.
Jazz and her mystery husband are both so happy but so sad throughout this entire thing, and Jazz can’t stop herself from looking to Clark every so often, and when she does, her melancholy grows.
Lex asks Jazz if she wants him to explain, and she nods, unable to get any words out without bursting into (even more) tears. Lex explains that the plant jasmine had a different name on Krypton, and Jazz just rolled with it and went by that word: Lara.
It clicks for Clark, and he nearly goes into a full-blown panic attack as he realizes Jazz and her husband are his parents, and the baby they managed to get on a ship before Jazz gave birth to its twin was him.
There’s a super weird family reunion on both sides as Jazz is reunited with her parents and Clark is reunited with his and gets to meet his twin-baby sister to boot. They name her Lyssa, a combination of Lyta and Nyssa, just like Kal was a combination of Kem and Val.
Thus concludes the crack.

You think the League or someone would notice that Danny erased everyone's memories with the reality gauntlet? Just that little nagging feeling that they forgot something they shouldn't have.
Anyone can feel free to run with this (also tossing the what if Danny didn't erase his parents memories for show status quo when they accepted him after finding out who he is)
I feel like for the League, any member who isn’t naturally in tune with magic or the other realms wouldn’t feel it. I don’t think Batman would even notice unless he had some kind of evidence he collected that jogged his memory. I think Dr. Fate. Zatanna, Wonder Woman, Hawk girl/Hawk Man would feel it just because they either can use magic or are linked via mystical forces canonically.
In terms of his parents. I LOVE IT when they accept him and realize how he has actually been the one saving Amity Park from all the ghosts and they inherently made it even harder. I can imagine Maddie getting very emotional one night while working in her lab thinking about how she couldn’t even tell that her son wasn’t the same anymore.
I think they would become more involved in the way Danny and Jazz wished they were as children. They changed their directive from Anti Ghost, to Ghost Containment and Safety Studies. Working in the ghost zone and trying to understand it via observation instead of invasive methods.
Now if we put these two together where Danny becomes a League member and his team (parents included) become captains of the Justice League Ghost Unit.
I can imagine the Watch Tower getting some big upgrades thanks to Tucker, Maddie and Jack. League Members all die for his fudge and learn that he is actually incredibly intelligent but is just a bit of a jockey goof. Maddie becomes one of their top scientists and Tucker gets to protege under just about anyone he wants.
Yeah I think it would be cool.

The Super-Switch
(part 3)
being the most responsible member of the justice league was exhausting.
take today for instance, batman had thankfully stopped the potential catastrophe that was two insanely powerful individuals incapable of controlling their newly acquired powers charging into battle. superman and phantom switching places was hedging on disaster even now, because despite the quality of their character, they both were powerful enough to destroy the world, especially if a fight between them were to escalate too far.
batman, ever cautious has been putting counter measures for the possibility in place for years and honestly he was grateful that he wouldn’t have to use them yet. both heroes were be cooperative and despite some sharp barbs at each other and general frustration at the circumstance, they weren’t attacking each other.
however, that did not make the situation any easier. batman would always be thankful that things haven’t reached the worst case scenario but that didn’t change the fact that bad is bad.
they had returned to the space station and the secure training facility within it. they had started to lay the ground works of a plan and were meanwhile getting phantom and superman to adapt to their current bodies.
the plan was simple enough. the flash, wonder woman, hawk man, and hawk woman would be pursuing the ghost that had performed the switch. batman had already acquired a military stock of fenton technology so they were well armed and phantoms profile on the ghost was impressively detailed. though there was some humor to be found in the caps lettered “DON’T MAKE WISHES OR SAY THE WORDS I WANT OR I WISH IN HER PRESENCE OR AT ALL!” the warning was reiterated several times throughout the profile and clarified she’ll grant the wish even when you can’t see her.
phantom and superman were, for their part anxious about leaving the hunting to others. phantom especially holding a sense of responsibility because ghost hunting is his department. superman was insisting his own involvement because a slight sense of guilt over making the wish. batman and several other members of the league had backed phantom up and chastised the hero for his loose phrasing an use of the taboo phrase. phantom wasn’t the only hero with a rule against wishing.
batman had made it perfectly clear that until they could control each others powers they were liabilities. a point that was emphasized when superman, in Danny's body, began to slip intangibly through the floor
which was how they got this point. training their deadly and highly destructive powers.
“look you just gotta feel solid. like continuously be aware that you can touch stuff.”
“that’s what i’m doing.”
“no, i mean you gotta keep that awareness. like...” phantom scrunched superman’s eyebrows together as searched for the right words. “it’s kinda like breathing, you know? most of the time you aren’t aware of your breathing you just let your lungs do their own thing. intangibility is a ghosts natural instinct/state, so to be solid you have to actively think about being solid, like when you’re suddenly aware of you own breathing and have to work to do it.”
“how can you cautiously be aware that you’re solid all the time,” the phantom double growled sounding frustrated. he was once again slipping through the floor and superman pulled him back up by the elbow.
“well, i’m not, exactly. eventually the solid-intangible switch just became a sort of muscle memory thing. most of the time awareness of my solidness is just floating somewhere in the back or my mind, just always running. letting go of the awareness to become intangible is actually weird because like you have to like let go of that awareness. it kinda sucks, because I've gotten so used to being tangible that i sometimes completely forget to turn intangible when i actually need to. it’s kind of confusing.”
“i agree.” superman glaring tiredly up at his own face. it was fascinating to watch the differences in expressions. watching superman’s body act like an earnest but typical teenager was rather cute. phantom sarcasm and sharp smirks looking out of place dangerous on the normally kind or brooding face of the alien but he brought an energy and expressiveness that superman often lacked. he talked with his hands and showed off his small ticks. seeing ‘superman’ nervously rub the back of his neck and tilt his head to the side with a shy smile, was a memory that batman would keep tucked away amidst his fondest memories.
meanwhile superman’s good posture and kind smile softened the ghosts image considerably. gone was the tricksters glint and in it’s place was a bright-eyed child. batman had never acknowledge how cynical phantom was in caparison to superman, but to see his face free of it was a startling revelation. phantom looked younger with superman controlling him. he moved with confidence and his neon green eyes sparkled with optimism. it was nice to see but carried with it slight disappointment that phantom himself couldn’t produce such a smile on his own.
“maybe it’s kind of like with your super strength?” phantom wondered. he was proving entirely more adaptive to superman's powers that superman was to his. he still proved to be clumsy when it came to the finer adjustments of strengths and applications, but he had mastered flying with the newly weighted body and powers like heat vision and psychokinesis were practically instinctive to him. the only real problem he had was focusing with superman’s enhanced hearing, providing a constant din and distraction. “like you have to be consciously aware of your movements and strength so you don’t accidentally destroy everything, right? well, treat it like that only instead of strength it’s how solid you are.”
“adjusting how lightly you touch something is completely different from being constantly aware of your own breathing.” superman griped irritably.
he was having a considerably harder time mastering phantom’s powers. they’d been working on tangibility on in off more the last couple hours because it was apparently the most important skill in terms of functioning normally. superman seemed to be slipping through the floor and dropping objects every other minute. and phantom almost seemed to be silently laughing even as he tried to help. it was quite clear that phantom had dealt with these problems in the past.
when they weren’t struggling with that, they were struggling with the other basic powers. like Danny, superman picked up flight rather easily. but manipulating ecto energy and all the powers that depended on drawing from his ghost core was escaping superman’s grasp. the way phantom described reaching for his core seemed rather meditative and simple to batman, but then again batman wasn’t the one with the powers so he wasn’t in the position to judge.
phantom refused to show superman his more powerful attacks, claiming, “if you can’t even make an ectoblast you wouldn’t be able to perform a ghostly wail. it’s not really something you can do accidentally. so as long as you don’t feel like your freezing to death you should be fine.”
it wasn’t the most comforting statement but batman preferred that they didn’t test those powers here anyway. there was no telling what a ghostly wail would do to the ship, especially because superman would have no control over it. they’d have to travel back to earth to do it and as late in the evening it was getting returning to earth that day for a non emergency seemed too exhausting.
speaking of which, “i think it’s about time for bed,” batman called to the heroes. phantom flinched and the sheepish look on ‘superman’s’ face, yet again, melted his cold black heart.
both were obviously exhausted so they didn’t argue about that, thou superman did mutter. “if i have to be thinking about solidness, what happens if i turn intangible in my sleep.”
“it’s easier not to go to bed tangible at all. just lie by the bed and float intangibly there. you’re less likely to move from there than if you turn intangible mid dream. if you do that i guarantee that you’ll fall through through the floor.”
“it was a rhetorical question.”
batman rubbed the bridge of his nose. this was going to be a long weekend
here’s hoping they’re back to normal tommorrow.

#OK thank you because I was thinking it was the batplane #dpjl #fanfic time
– @the-nerdy-fangirl
Yeah the Batplane is called the Batwing in some media. It’s confusing when Luke Fox also exists. I guess he named himself after the aircraft.
But here’s Danny walking off with the Waynes down the road, heading for out of town, wondering where they’re going, how they found him, how they got here so fast, and then they’re on a little road and Bruce pulls out a remote control and presses a button and suddenly in the field there’s the bloody Batplane.
“It’s only fair, since you told us your identity,” says Dick.
“Huh,” says Danny. “So that’s what all that ‘night shift’ stuff was about.”
Then during the flight Danny is texting his friends in the group chat (imagine they've got funny names, I’ll be here all day if I have to think some up).
Danny: hey guys I just moved out lol Jazz: WHAT Tucker: where to? Jazz: You can’t move out. You’re too young. Sam: You can stay with me if you need to Danny: your parents would kill me Danny: again Danny: anyway, I’ve got a place Jazz: I can come get you. You can stay in the dorm with me. Jazz: I’ll make it work. Danny: you can come visit Tucker: how far away is it? Jazz: What the hell Danny. You’re not living on your own. Danny: trust me Danny: I really, really won’t be on my own Tucker: I’m worried where are you going? Sam: This sounds super dodgy Danny: Gotham Jazz: HELL NO Tucker: you can’t leave Amity! Tucker: we’ve been keeping things under control but we need you Danny: so remember that family I said i was staying with? Sam: No way Danny: they came for me Danny: it’s only been a day and they came for me Jazz: Gotham’s two days’ drive away. Danny: whole gang of them on my doorstep Danny: they want me Jazz: How’d they get here so fast? Sam: Weren’t you a kid? Sam: Like a little kid Sam: No way they didn’t notice Danny: oh yeah they noticed Danny: they’re cool with it tho Danny: I told them how it happened Tucker: About the thing? Danny: all of it Danny: they’re fine with it Several people are typing… Danny: so I didn’t say before Danny: they’re rich. Like, super rich Danny: they came in a private jet Danny: and they’ve got an in with the Justice League Danny: so Danny: you won't need me for the ghosts any more Tucker: WAIT Tucker: super large, super rich family from Gotham Tucker: associated with the Justice League Tucker: holy shit Tucker: you got taken in by the WAYNES? Danny: that’s their name yeah Danny: why? Several people are typing…
Bruce had been walking out of the WE building when he spotted a child who could fit right in at Wayne Manor looking around. Determining he was probably lost, Bruce approached him and tapped his shoulder. The boy turned around.
"Daddy?" he asked.

Please my friend, please keep writing your Ellie White AU, I crave more
So... I don’t know if you wanted angst, but you got a little bit of angst. Also kind of a crossover with The Good Doctor because Shaun Murphy is a pure soul. Featuring kind of traumatized Elle, comic book science, and real clone science!
@yodeling-soup @dannyphantom-justiceleauge
Elle shook in her dad’s arms, keeping her head duckedagainst his shirt like Jason might when he was scared. Richard whispered wordsof reassurance, petting her hair in an attempt to keep her calm. For her firsttrip back to the doctor since being released, she was doing pretty well.
Richard had the sick days where Lois and Clark didn’t, andas long as Elle didn’t try to run away again, he felt sure he can handle it.
“Elle White?”
Elle nearly jumped out of her skin at the sound of her name, and Richard could tell she was fighting not to run straight out the door.
Richard rubbed her hand to remind her of his presence. “It’sokay,” he said. “It’s just a follow-up. Do you want me to go in with you?”
“Yes,” Elle replied quietly.
They both got up and go through the double doors until thenurse directed them to a door. Surprisingly, there was already a doctor insidewaiting for them.
“Hello, I’m Dr. Shaun Murphy,” he introduced himself. Heglanced down at his hands for a moment, then to Elle. “I was your surgeon afteryour accident.” His words came haltingly. “You look much different when you’renot covered in blood.”
“I beg your pardon?” Richard asked. “What did you just sayto her?”
Dr. Murphy pulled back, realizing he’d made a mistake. “I-I’msorry,” he apologized. “I’m not used to doing follow-ups.”
Richard let out a frustrated huff, but he calmed down whenhe noticed that Elle didn’t seem shaken.
Elle sat down on the examination table, keeping her eyes onDr. Murphy. “You were the lead surgeon?” she asked.
“For your case, yes,” Dr. Murphy continued. “There was a manwho came in for an emergency laparotomy shortly before you arrived.”
“Nurse Walsh said you caught a protein and vitamin B12deficiency that would have killed me in six months,” Elle declared suddenly. “Shesaid you saved my life twice over.”
Dr. Murphy cleared his throat nervously and wrung his hands.“Your body doesn’t absorb vitamin B12 properly, but I am uncertain about whatis causing the protein deficiency. I would like to test you for lupus and Grave’sdisease.”
Elle nodded in understanding. “I eat red meat every day,”she said. “I don’t know why I’d have low protein levels.”
“I think to figure that out, we’ll have to run more tests.”Dr. Murphy shifted from one foot to the other, then back again. “And I’d alsolike you to tell me more about what you know about your own biology. WhenSuperman gave a fake name for you and refused to leave during surgery, theother doctors and I were able to figure out that you’re his daughter, but healso said you aren’t related. So what are you?”
Richard watched as Elle squirmed under his and Dr. Murphy’sgaze. “Would you like me to leave?” he asked. Even after getting out of thehospital, Elle refused to tell Richard, Lois, and Clark her story, and theydidn’t push.
“No.” She took a deep breath, but no sound came out when sheopened her mouth.
Dr. Murphy turned to the counter and pulled something out ofthe drawer. He turned back around and presented Elle with a clipboard, a pieceof paper, and a pen. “Sometimes I have trouble saying things,” he confessed, “ButI can write it.”
Elle nodded and accepted the materials with a quiet ‘thanks.’After a moment of writing, she handed the paper back to Dr. Murphy. He took theclipboard and read. “You’re half ghost?” he asked.
“Yeah,” Elle whispered. “And a clone.”
Dr. Murphy’s head jerked up from his notes. “Would youplease lie down on the table?”
Elle silently did as told, and Dr. Murphy lifted her shirtup to reveal her ribs. He pressed gently on her stomach, noticing her wince. “Doesthat hurt?” he asked.
“Kind of.” Elle took a breath and lifted her head. “Is thatbad?”
“It may be.” He tapped on her stomach, the response being adull sound. “You need to get an MRI today. I am going to shine a light in youreyes now.”
Before Elle or Richard could ask why, Dr. Murphy pulled aflashlight out of his pocket and shined it in Elle’s eyes. To her credit, sheonly flinched before forcing herself to look into the light. In a moment, itwas off.
“What’s going on?” Richard asked. “Why are you checking hereyes? What’s wrong?”
“Previous attempts of animal cloning have resulted in oversizedor swollen organs, especially the liver,” Dr. Murphy explained. “The medicineshe was given during and after surgery can cause a swollen liver. For a normalperson, it would not be damaging, but since Elle is a clone, it is dangerous. She is already experiencing a minor amount of jaundice in her eyes. She needsto have the medication removed from her system.”
Elle propped herself up on her elbows, worry in her eyes. “Ihad some about two hours ago. Is that bad?”
Dr. Murphy opened his mouth to say something, but he seemedto catch himself at the last second. “Not if we can treat you quickly. I’mgoing to admit you into a room in the Pediatric ICU again. Please don’t kick methis time.” Dr. Murphy turned and left the room, leaving the worried Danielleand Richard behind.
“Am I gonna die?” Elle asked quietly.
“No,” Richard quickly replied. He walked over to Elle andput a hand over hers. “Dr. Murphy is going to take care of you, and so am I.”
Elle nodded slowly. “I like him,” she said. “He’s verygenuine.” She took in a shaky breath, trying to calm herself down.
After a few moments, Dr. Murphy opened the door and, withouthesitation, scooped up Elle and carried her to a gurney outside. He set herdown and began pushing, letting Richard follow behind. As they went, theypassed an older doctor.
“What are you doing?” the man asked. “That cart was supposedto be for Mr. Beloski.”
Without missing a beat, Dr. Murphy replied, “Mr. Beloski isgoing into non-emergency surgery and can wait for another. Elle White needs tobe transported to the ICU and may not be able to walk the entire way there. Hercase is more severe.”
The other doctor looked to Richard for a moment, the spoketo Dr. Murphy in a quiet voice. “Mr. Beloski is getting impatient, and he’s avalued donor here. Do you really want to do this?”
“Elle White is jaundiced and needs NAC or her liver may sufferpermanent damage. The only damage Mr. Beloski will face is to his ego, and thatwill repair itself. So yes, I really want to do this.” Dr. Murphy rolled thegurney into an open elevator and let Richard in, the other doctor stayingbehind.
When the doors closed, Elle spoke. “Thanks for sticking upfor me,” she said. “Do you really think I wouldn’t have been able to make thewalk?”
Dr. Murphy cleared his throat. “I don’t know. But it wouldn’tbe safe if you couldn’t.”
As Elle was wheeled into the Pediatric ICU, her head listedto the side. Dr. Murphy noticed and got one of the nearby nurse’s attention. “Sheneeds seven grams of NAC and five milligrams of vitamin B12 now.”
The nurse nodded and got to work while Dr. Murphy rolledElle into a room and began taking her vitals. For the second time in two weeks,Elle was unconscious in the ICU.

So. We love the “Jason is Liminal/half-dead/a reverent” thing and having it affect his interactions with Danny.
But we are missing a great thing:
Hal Jordan was the Specter when he was Dead. Hal was half of one of the most powerful supernatural beings in the DC universe. The Spector, who was only outlived by Wonder Woman in the Future State comics. Hal was a ghost sharing a body with a ghost/Angel and actively reforming this vengeance being/spirit into a Justice Being/spirit.
I propose that Hal should be just as effected by Ghost King stuff or general Danny-Ghost-Weirdness.
Sorry it took so long to reply to your awesome ask.
But I'm not sure Ghost King! Danny would be able to sense the ghost-ness? of other characters in the DC universe since there are so many types of supernatural beings in the comics. I think it's a very cool idea but at the end of the day, a boy can only have so many powers. Would he know? Most likely. Would his ghost sense go off in his presence? I don't think it would. But this would be a really cool one shot. Danny just getting into the Big Hero League and he is now finding out there are a lot more living dead people than his small town self knew. If he could sense them all I think he would go crazy like he did with the Box Ghost.
Or
If there was another ghost of villain that could control the dead, maybe it would affect all the living dead characters in the DC universe and Danny would have to figure out a way to stop him from turning everyone into a full ghost. Potentially. Who knows, It would be really cool to see that though. But in my professional head canon opinion, I think some things are a good surprise for an up in coming hero.
