Gaza Now correspondent explains the dire situation in Gaza under the title "A Very Painful Situation".. "On Salah al-Din Road, the road connecting the north and south, Israeli tanks and electronic gates are present. Anyone with a beard is threatened with death by Israeli forces before reaching the gate. Any woman refusing to remove her veil is threatened with death by Israeli forces. People are forced to strip completely. Fifty meters north of Wadi Gaza Bridge, there are dozens of scattered bodies on the right and left. The Gaza Now correspondent continues: "If something falls to the ground and you try to pick it up, it means you have sentenced yourself to death; Israeli snipers will kill you immediately. Not only that, in the beginning, it was allowed for a person to carry a bag to continue his journey from the north to the south, but now carrying a bag is not allowed. People are arriving in the center and south of Gaza empty-handed, with no food, no drink, and nothing. The conditions are extremely, extremely difficult. Bombing is everywhere. As for the areas in the north, east, and west of Gaza City, residents are trying to prove their existence and refuse to evacuate from the north to the south. Some have turned to UNRWA schools for Palestinian refugees, which are considered a safe refuge for residents according to international law. However, none of this protects anyone from the occupation's terrorism, as it has targeted schools, mosques, hospitals, churches, and everything. There is no longer a safe place in Gaza. The Gaza Now correspondent states that residents from the areas of Al-Zahra city, central Gaza, to the north of Gaza have not received any aid for 43 days. The majority of people cannot find a livelihood or a loaf of bread, nor can they have a sip of water. They are completely cut off from the world, isolated without electricity, internet, or communications. Life here is very painful. Perhaps the world continues with its statements, but now it must know that we are facing a massacre and genocide in front of everyone's eyes and ears. 🇵🇸"

This morning in Motaz's stories he said the IOF have killed all the journalists who had drones so they are no longer able to show the massive scale of destruction as easily as they did before. I don't believe this is accidental especially after watching the day IOF hacked Motaz's drone and took it. Just another fowl attempt to hide the truth from the world.
A few screenshots from his stories today:

If what we can see is already bad, can you imagine what new aerial shots would show? Can you imagine how much we aren't seeing thanks to the continued disruption to internet connection?

DON'T SCROLL🚨
For those who don't know me, I will tell you my story
This is me Farah, I am 18 years old and I live in the Gaza Strip
Tumblr media
Before the war, I lived in our house in the northern Gaza Strip and studied to get a good grade and study medicine abroad
(our home before)
Tumblr media
But the war came, education stopped, and we had to evacuate our house after the occupation bombed our neighborhood with fire belts on November 13, 2023.
(our street before& after)
Tumblr media
We were displaced on the Salah al-Din Road through the safe corridor. We saw nightmarish scenes there: corpses on the road, body parts, the body of a pregnant woman, bombed cars with body parts inside, and the soldier almost ran over my sister, but we survived. We walked for about 5 hours under the sun while I was on my period. I carry heavy bags
We lived in a tent in Rafah and our tent was burned in a nearby bombing
Tumblr media
My father was arrested during the events in Khan Yunis and they tortured him severely
(Traces of torture on my father's body)
Tumblr media
Now we are displaced in Deir al-Balah and live in a tent
(our tent)
Tumblr media
Our house in the north was bombed on 7/23/2024
(Our house after the bombing )
Tumblr media
We are now without any shelter
This is my story and please don't forget me
YOU ARE OUR ONLY HOPE ‼️

"Since the morning the Israeli tanks are stationed near the entrance of Al Maghazi Refugee Camp. Civilians are being killed by Israeli snipers. No one can reach them."
Hind continues on her post: "The main highway, Salah el Din Road, has been blockaded by Israeli forces. Witnesses report instances of people being killed on the street, and the accessibility for ambulances to reach the area is severely restricted. Snipers are stationed along the Salah Al Din Road" [@/ Hind_Gaza on X. 01/04/24.]

Gaza, Palestine, Salah Aldeen St.📍 Is it reasonable for us to celebrate our humanity in 2024 while an entire people is being under a genocide in front of our and your eyes? It is a disgrace to all of our humanity to delay reaching a ceasefire and give the occupation forces time to kill more civilians and children and destroy thousands of homes and streets! Every minute that passes for the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip under this genocide is like a hundred years of torture! In cold and starvation while being threatened by leaders in the occupation to not allow us to return to our homes again! While 2 million people live in tents, schools, hospitals and streets!, In very difficult humanitarian conditions that indicate a humanitarian catastrophe that will take years to overcome, including epidemics, diseases, and the collapse of the infrastructure and social structure. How can a case be so just and clearly documented as this one and its people not receive justice for 115 days! PS/ In the picture, I am standing in the middle of the main street in the Gaza Strip, Salah al-Din Street, which connects the governorates of the Gaza Strip from north to south. It is the historical street that connected Palestine with North Africa and was called Horus Street hundreds of years ago. This street, in addition to Al-Rashid Street or Beach Street, are the street that represent Gaza. They were wide, clean, and beautiful streets. At night, they are used for exercising, riding bicycles, and walking with pets. I have walked this road more than a thousand times, and due to the severity of the destruction, I did not recognize the place where I was standing in that picture.

Hello!
Do you remember the gas cylinder I mentioned in an earlier post? The one I had to carry on my back for 3 km?
Today, it was time to go again and pick it up, now filled with 8 kilograms of gas. It was even more exhausting and also risky, since the pick-up location is very close to Salah al-Din Road and all the dangerous zones.
However, to be honest, I don't believe in safe or dangerous zones anymore. Every place in Gaza is dangerous.
When I arrived home, my mother’s joy was indescribable, because she won't have to light a fire using wood, so the smoke won't get into her eyes and lungs anymore. My mother's happiness makes all my pain worth it!!
I kindly ask you to try to help me by donating to my campaign. Every single penny counts. Please, help also by sharing my campaign. I just want to survive and resume my studies.

It's been incredibly difficult to hear from Palestinians in Gaza, not to mention center their experiences and platform their voices. Because ever since Hamas violently kicked the Palestinian government out of Gaza in 2007, it's denied Palestinians the right to free speech.
(Here's Palestinian human rights activist Hamza Howidy sarcastically wondering why Hamas isn't stopping the theft of humanitarian aid when it had the power to arrest him for a social media post within 4 hours.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm working on a series of posts of Palestinians to platform. I came across this thread from someone who used Snapchat to talk to people in Gaza, so I thought I'd post it here in the meantime.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I've seen videos of Palestinians talking about not being able to evacuate because "Hamas has closed all the roads," a video of a Palestinian telling the IDF that Hamas has a car blocking the Salah-al-Din road (the evacuation route) and is pointing guns at people and telling them to turn around. But even as someone searching for Palestinian voices and looking for information about this, I hadn't heard that Hamas had been killing civilians trying to evacuate. (And probably reporting their deaths as part of the daily total.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I mean, just the fact that the Gaza Strip is run as a separate country from the rest of Palestine is a huge barrier for Palestinians. It's hard to be accepted as a full member of the UN when your country functionally has two or three different governments.
(Confusingly, the PLO is considered the government of Palestine internationally. Abbas is the president of both PLO and the Palestinian Authority, so it sort of works as long as nobody has an election. But the fact that Palestinians have been denied an election for 18+ years, because Abbas keeps cancelling elections and Hamas is Hamas, is also a pretty big fucking problem.)
But it's also true that a huge number of the people in the Gaza Strip, while obviously having a big problem with the Israeli government, have at least as big of a problem with Hamas.
And for all of our decades of talk about Free Palestine, in the progressive movement, we pay shockingly little attention to that.

"A field commander in Gaza said today that the Israeli occupation forces partially withdrew from the vicinity of al-Zaytoun Clinic after fierce confrontations with the Palestinian resistance south of Gaza City. He told Al Mayadeen that in the past two days, the resistance struck IOF troops positioned in the vicinity of al-Zaytoun Clinic using mortar shells and anti-armor missiles. The commander also said that the Israeli occupation tanks have been redeployed near the Dawlah Intersection on Salah al-Din Road, south of the neighborhood adding that on more than one axis in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, artillery and aerial bombings are ongoing. He stressed the area surrounding Al-Madaris Street in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip is widely destroyed.
Earlier today, the Palestinian Resistance was engaged in fierce battles with the Israeli occupation forces in the central and southern parts of the al-Zaytoun neighborhood in southeast Gaza, a field leader confirmed to Al Mayadeen. The source emphasized that the battles were taking place in al-Mustawsaf Street in the center of the neighborhood and the vicinity of Ali Mosque and the UNRWA Clinic to its south.
Resistance fighters engaged several Israeli tanks with anti-tank rockets in the vicinity of al-Zaytoun Clinic, the source told Al Mayadeen, adding that the Israeli occupation army has turned the Clinic into a command and control center and is destroying homes nearby. According to the field leader, Israeli occupation forces have expanded the scope of their artillery shelling to reach the north of the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, especially around the al-Hurriyya School and the Salah al-Din Mosque.
A new wave of displacement from most parts of the al-Zaytoun neighborhood has been observed, caused by the Israeli bombardment of several houses and the martyrdom of 12 Palestinians as a result, the field leader confirmed. In a related context, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that at least eight Palestinians were killed in Israeli artillery and aerial bombardment in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood."

One incident I heard from multiple people that I met at an UNRWA school recounts the story of a woman carrying her child and walking along Salah al-Din. Her child would cry loudly as she carried him, multiple people told me, all repeating the same details and recounting the same sequence of events that would follow: a soldier, annoyed by the child’s screeching, “sniped at him” from a distance and shot him in the head as his mother carried him. The soldier then picked up his megaphone and ordered her to throw him by the side of the road and keep walking.
In utter shock, the woman wailed and cried but eventually was forced to obey the soldiers’ orders at gunpoint, who surrounded her from the side and were also perched on top of a tank. Everyone told me the same thing: that the woman was forced to set down her lifeless child and continue, screaming and crying the entire way.
**
“I was walking on crutches, and two paramedics who had fled south with us were helping me along the way,” he told Mondoweiss. “Sometimes they would carry me or allow me to lean on them as we walked.”
When they reached the Israeli military checkpoint that had been erected on Salah al-Din Street, a soldier called on him from a distance and ordered him to walk on his own and throw away his crutches before arriving at the checkpoint to be searched.
“I still wasn’t able to put my foot on the ground or to put any pressure on it,” Ayman said. “But the soldier kept ordering me to walk without it.”
“The minute I put my foot on the ground, I fell, unable to bear the pain,” he continued. “But the soldier kept insisting and told me to stand up.”
Ayman said he could not bear the humiliation the soldier was forcing on him. For a second time, he tried to get up and tried to take another step.
The plate in his leg broke. He collapsed, screaming in pain. The soldier did nothing, just ordering him to crawl past the checkpoint and go on his way. Ayman had no choice but to do as he was ordered, dragging himself until he got to the other side, where people picked him up and assisted him.

eye.on.palestine More on this egregious incident documented by a @euromedhr researcher:
Picture was taken Feb 29 afternoon in al-Zeitoun area at the Salah al-Din road near the Star factory
Witnesses say the IOF detained & interrogated the victim before he was driven over by an armored vehicle.
The victim was zip-tied by the IOF
The body was driven over from the legs upwards, meaning the victim may have been alive while being crushed inch by inch
The distinct tracks of an IDF military bulldozer or tank are visible on the victim's body & the surrounding area.
The zip-tie means he was first detained by the IDF (& likely tortured) before they crushed him
1000s of Israelis are celebrating & rejoicing this pure savagery!

[ 📹 Scenes from the rescue efforts to recover the dead and wounded following an Israeli occupation airstrike on a residential building in Gaza City on Thursday night. In the video, Palestinians working with the hope recovering wounded civilians, instead finds the body of a dead boy. "Oh my Lord," a man can be heard yelling, "the boy died. He died. The boy died, oh Lord! Oh Allah!"]

NEW ROUND OF ISRAELI AIRSTRIKES MURDER MORE PALESTINIANS IN THEIR HOMES
The Israeli occupation army continued its campaign of atrocities in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, bombing, shelling, shooting and general murdering as many Palestinian civilians as humanly possible.
In one strike today, occupation fighter jets bombed a man on a motorcycle on Salah al-Din Road, east of Rafah, killing people nearby at the time and wounding several others.
In another war crime, typical of the Israeli occupation's genocidal aims, a member of the Civil Defense of Gaza named Na'im al-Ghoul was killed in an Israeli drone strike in the vicinity of the Palestine stadium in Gaza City.
The Israeli occupation also bombed the home of the Laffi family, bringing the house down on the family on Awni Dahir Street, in the Khirbet al-Adas neighborhood of central Rafah, in Gaza's south, after which, several corpses were recovered from the rubble.
Yet another airstrike targeted the Electricity distribution company of central Gaza, while occupation artillery shelling hammered residential homes in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, and also a residential building in Al-Mughraqa in central Gaza.
The current death toll in "Israel's" ongoing special genocide operation in the Gaza Strip now exceeds 34'904, including upwards of 14'690 children and over 10'000 women, while another 78'514 others have been wounded since the start of the current round of Zionist aggression, beginning with the events of October 7th, 2023.
