Frederick

You two weren't together at this point. You were good friends and you decided to take care of him, making him sit still since he's usually the caregiver. It's a moment he thinks of often because it helped him realize how much he loves you.

Jakob

Something simple like a walk through a garden or just an evening by the fireplace would be his favorite moment. You two ended up having a deep conversation and there was a share of laughter and giggles as Jakob was a bit of a menace, but the way you smiled during that peaceful moment is forever stuck in his head.

Saizo

His favorite memory would be a time where he trusted a decision you made. The situation was complicated, and you both had different ideas, but you were so determined, and you asked him to trust in you. It was difficult, but it was the first time he put his faith in you, and he thinks about how that led to so many more memories he cherishes.

Seteth

Both you and Flayn were nowhere to be found and he was in a bit of a panic. Until he found you two in his office, having snuck in when he had left, and you both surprised him with a sign and a fish dinner. The pride and excitement you and Flayn had on your faces over making him feel special is a memory that he cherishes so much.

Frederick

He can be protective, but Frederick knows you can also take care of yourself. If you need him to step in then he will, but he trusts you to handle things yourself.

In combat, then he's getting to your side as fast as he can if you are in danger. Doesn't like being too far away from you in the first place, but he also knows that he can't be right next to you the whole time. Out of combat, he's good at glaring people away but he's not going to start any fights as he prefers to just pull you away from the situation.

Wouldn't really want you to go out of your way for him, but he won't stop you if you do want to defend him from others. He appreciates your help if you help him in combat. But should someone insult him or something along those lines then he does appreciate you dismissing them (just please don't start any physical fights on his behalf).

Jakob

He is very protective of you, but he's so subtle about it. If anyone is giving you trouble or making you stressed, then Jakob is behind you and sending glares and bad vibes their way. You get cheery smiles if you turn and look at him, but Jakob will gladly make the other person's life hell if they upset you.

In combat, Jakob is staying by your side. He's not going to risk being unable to save you. Will not let you get the smallest scratch. If he could fight the wind when it blows dust and dirt your way then he would.

Jakob wouldn't really want you protecting him in combat, but if you wanted to defend him verbally with quick wit or clapbacks then he'll be amused and cheer you on. He'll be quick to step in if someone tries to say anything to you though.

Saizo

Tries not to show how protective he is. There's a constant eye on you to just make sure you're truly okay when talking to new people or just someone he doesn't know. If you try to catch him in the act then he's quick to look away.

Is by your side during combat too, ready to deflect any attacks or just be there to keep you safe. He's not by your side the whole time, but you are in his line of sight.

Would never ask you to protect him, but if you did during combat or even stepping in when someone spouts nonsense to him, he's blushing so much at you coming to his rescue and he's quick to make an excuse so you don't notice how flustered he is.

Seteth

He's not as protective with you as he is with Flayn (thank goodness), but he can still be pretty protective. He just wants to make sure you're okay. Will not tolerate anyone disrespecting you either. Even if it's just joking comments, he will be ready to scold and lecture.

Not really one for PDA but will step in and use plenty of words if someone is verbally upsetting you. If it's a combat situation, then he's ready with his wyvern and lance. Doesn't care if they're an archer, he'll be ready to come to your rescue no matter what.

Seteth would prefer you to not try and protect him in combat, he doesn't want the risk of losing you. He wouldn't be able to handle it if something happened to you on his behalf. Out of combat, he'd prefer you being like an emotional support for him instead of actually getting involved in some argument.

Y - Yearning (how do they cope when they are missing you? are they alright with being without you for an extended period of time or would they prefer to be with you every day of their life without exception?)

Frederick

While he does miss you, he does still have a duty to Chrom and so he'll do that. There are moments when he does think about you and hope you're doing alright, but it won't ruin his day that you're gone.

Frederick would be okay if you are away for a while. He can send you letters and gifts, always letting you know that he's thinking of you or anything funny that he thinks you'd be amused about. Even if it is at his expense.

Jakob

Wanted to try to go with you when you ended up having to travel away from him. Ends up pouting like a puppy and is more of a little shit to everyone else because you aren't there to reign him in.

Of course, he'd want you with him every day of his life. You're his significant other and his soulmate. He is just a sulking and annoying mess until you come back home to him.

Saizo

Saizo doesn't wear his heart on his sleeves, so it seems like he's doing just fine when you're away for a period of time. He is very much worried that you're okay and constantly keeping an ear and eye out for any information about your situation.

Would like to have you by his side constantly but knows it's unreasonable to ask that of you. That doesn't stop him from giving you gifts when you come back, not able to actually tell you how much he missed you because he'd be a stuttering mess.

Seteth

He's throwing himself into his work more than usual when you're gone. Seteth still takes time for Flayn, of course, but without you there he just focuses on work and hopes that you're back before he knows it.

Seteth would like you to stay by his side every day, but he knows that isn't the most realistic unfortunately. Just know that he's always getting you flowers or something you like when you get back because he always misses you so much.

chara : saizo fandom : fire emblem: fates a/n : rewritten and revised version of a fic i wrote nearly seven years ago !!

saizo does not know much of love, its woven intricacy and vulnerability a semblance of weakness that has no belonging in the life of a ninja. he exists solely to protect another, knows nothing but discipline and battle scars that have left a deep hurt unsettled.

no, he does not know much of love, has never intended to. but there is something that has lied dormant in years past that awakens when he meets you, and should he ever confess to such adoration, he thinks he would lose all dignity.

so he thinks, at least-- but when you look at him with the kindest of smiles, he almost feels something akin to home. it is weakness, perhaps, and it is something he fights against but welcomes all the same. it is a difficult struggle, the ability to love and be loved, but it is one you gently guide him through, your hand never leaving his despite his hesitance.

he holds his breath instinctively, finds that he cannot handle the way your eyes hold absolute wonder and fascination. your fingers ghost over the sides of his mask, reluctant -- and he resists the urge to stop you, but only waits.

you still, brows furrowed ever so slightly, voice barely above a whisper.

"may i?"

few are those who have witnessed saizo without his mask. he almost thinks to deny the request out of instinct, but he trusts you dearly, so he will allow you this. he nods, reminds himself to relax, but you feel the tension that lingers in the little space between you.

you take off the mask, fingers trembling, release a breath you didn't know you were holding. you take in every feature, smiling gently at the pink hues that color his cheek. he wants to cover his face again, shield this already known embarrassment. he believes he knows what will come next, but your confused visage is not what he expects.

"where is it?"

"where is what?"

"the scar."

saizo's puzzled expression immediately drops, turned deadpan in a mere second.

"ah--" you pause, wave your hands as if meaning no offense, "not the one i can already see. i meant the one under your mask."

"there is no scar."

oh.

your lips part, words failing to come out. so you stare at each other, both visages holding different levels of concerned and confused.

"do you wear it for your missions?"

he doesn't want to explain this. the blush intensifies greatly ( and more than you thought possible ). no one has really bothered asking him before; after all, he's not the easiest person to strike up casual conversation with. nearly everything about saizo screams deadly-- except in the times he gets embarrassed around you.

"it prevents distractions."

"oh? but doesn't that cause more distraction, if anything?" your hands gently cup his face, and there's that smile that he cannot seem to win against. "or is it just because you're so handsome that everyone seems to flock to you?"

with your playful tone and mischievous stare, saizo thinks he may as well die at this point. this is so incredibly embarrassing. perhaps he should be grateful to the gods that if he must experience such humiliation, it is in front of you.

"...that is precisely why."

huh. it takes you a moment to process his answer-- three seconds, maybe five-- but he can see it register in your head. seven seconds, and suddenly you're pursing your lips to hold back laughter.

you knew kaze was painfully unaware of his looks-- what, with all the women showering him with gifts and affection, but you didn't think it happened with saizo, either. you try to imagine him being the center of attention, a heavy and dark aura surrounding him, and you laugh harder than you should.

he does not know if this moment is endearing or simply just terrible.

"the scariest ninja i've seen wears a mask because he's too attractive."

"got a problem?"

"not at all." you let out another laugh, wrap your arms around his neck as you pull him close. "lucky me, huh? getting to see how handsome you are when no one else can."

with a kiss on his cheek, he admits defeat and accepts your hug, hands resting on your hips. even he cannot hide his contentment from you, the faintest of smiles blooming on his lips at your joy.

"lucky you."

Can I request some fluffy headcanons for Shura and Saizo separately with female Corrin. When will Shura ever be put into Feh and Saizo needs a cool alt form as well.

Dating Shura and Saizo

Shura

He was always just surprised as to how did she felt the same way as him but that definitely wasn't something to complain about.

She amazed him, in every possible way. Her kind and forgiving nature was something he appreciated like nothing else.

She often went out of her way to make sure he's involved with the others. The idea of him always being so excluded from the others wasn't one she'd bring to life.

He was often worrying about Corrin's reputation. Especially since she was with him. But in the end it all only meant that he had to be on his best behavior.

He always felt like he needs to prove (to himself) that he's worthy of her. His attempts are sweet, but when Corrin sees that they come from his insecurity she makes sure to reassure him that she doesn't need big gestures.

Saizo

Considering how he previously followed her around, he knew awfully a lot about her. It wasn't the case the other way around so once they started dating it was time for Corrin to learn more about Saizo.

He didn't really enjoy talking about himself for long. So she gained information his way. By just trying to be as observant and attentive as possible.

Of course if she had questions he'd answer them. But Corrin enjoyed learning about him in different ways. It was sort of a fun game to her.

To him it was... Cute how she got so into it. Her enthusiasm was one of the most charming qualifies he just adored.

It wasn't hard for Corrin to get him flustered, he both loved and hated that. But in the end he didn't mind her being her weakness and strength.

Saizo Wouldn't really get close with you. He would observe you from afar, but he would always make sure you knew he was there. He wouldn't want to come off as a creep.

Saizo goes away on missions often. While he is away, he likes to pick up little gifts to bring to you. He leaves them anonymously by your door.

He wouldn't be pronounced about his feelings. Not many people would be able to figure out about his crush. Kaze would probably be the first to know.

Saizo wouldn't try to start a relationship with you. He isn't necessarily scared of being rejected. He just doesn't think he has time to date.

During battle, Saizo knows that his job is to keep Ryoma and the other royal family members safe. He also wants to keep you safe.

He would fight by Ryoma's side but keep an eye on you to make sure you are okay. If you ever found yourself in a bad situation, he would be on his way to help you.

Saizo wouldn't avoid you because of his feelings. He would enjoy working alongside you, but he wouldn't make any attempt to get to know you better.

He would remember details about you that he noticed either in your behavior or speech. He also would memorize anything about you that he heard from the others.

Saizo wouldn't really show you that he has feelings for you other than leaving gifts for you anonymously. He doesn't want to get too attached to you because if something goes wrong on one of his missions and he didn't return, he doesn't want to hurt you.

Even if you returned Saizo's feelings, he still wouldn't ask you out. You would probably have to convince him to go on a date with you. He doesn't want to date you; he really does want to; he is just cautious.

You know I've always had this scenario in my mind and always thought about how it would turn out. The basic premise is that you (the summoner) exist in other worlds sorta like how there are other Askr's. Maybe some of these versions of you existed in other Fe games and had a completely different life than the you who was summoned to Askr. Then that led to me thinking about what if one of these versions of you was in a relationship with one of the Fe characters and somewhere along the way you died in battle protecting them. After some time they get summoned to Askr to see "you" but not the one they knew, but you from our world. It makes me kinda wonder how some of them react to seeing "you". How would someone like Chrom, Ike, or even someone from 3h would act? What are some of your thoughts? When he had first laid eyes on you...or well….laid EYE on you, he was taken aback so terribly. If one could compare he’d best relate it to a poisoned arrow shot right into his heart. He couldn’t believe it. He thought he was seeing a ghost. Upon seeing you come into view when he was first summoned he wanted to run and grab you and hold you so close that you just might die. Again.

But he knew better. Ever so quickly did he know better. The [ Y/N ] he was seeing now was not the [Y/N] he held ever so dearly in his own World. No. It couldn’t be. And he had to learn to quickly place those thoughts aside. Being a Saizo though, he couldn’t. He needed to investigate. He needed to lay his woes and curiosity to rest. And so he did what he did best. He patrolled. Out of sight, in the shadows. Every time he was able to. Which, being a ninja, was always. Even though his own Lordship , Ryouma was there, his heart told him he needed to place importance there.

For a while he did stay away though. He made sure to never get too close to you. If you were both in the same room, he did his best to not gaze at you for too long. But there was so much that you and his [ Y/N ] had in common. It was almost sickening. It tore at his heart strings. But he steadied himself around you.

So...So...SO MANY similarities….Like how you smiled even when you were nervous. The way your head bobbed when you were trying to think of a plan. Or how your eyes glossed over when you sat and just...watched the sky. Like how the both of you would on quiet nights in Hoshido….

Eventually you would catch him though. And he’d be floored so badly. He should have seen this coming though. Back in Hoshido you were always so predictable. At least to him you were. You would tease him,

“You just have really weird supernatural ninja skills!’ You would raspberry from time to time. He would take your hand and hold it and simply sigh,

“It is through the deep connection between us that allows me to know every step you take.” His voice always soft in this fact. His large hands holding your soft and small ones. You would wrinkle your nose and roll your eyes.

Here in Askr, you would do this too with those you were close with. When Shareena would joke with you about a Hero you might like. Even in distaste when Loki would attempt to smother you in her plots.

His mind was elsewhere now as you stood before him, a brow cocked up pretty high, palms on your waist. His eye blinked, coming back to reality. You seemed annoyed. Like how Hoshido you would be whenever you found him stalking you.Oh wait, he was caught.

“Hello???” You huffed at him.”Saizo, you’ve literally been in this corner for so long. Are you-“ You wrinkled your nose with annoyance.”Are you STALKING me?!” When you got annoyed or angry at him ,you were surely a force to be reckoned with. Maybe that was also what had drawn him to you back in Hoshido…You were the only one who dared step up to him...

Saizo, this is not Hoshido anymore!

“I…”He started, a hand raised as his digits fiddled with the air as if the words were just there for him to pluck. “I was...patrolling.” His voice was faint. His eye glossed over a bit.

“You’re ALWAYS patrolling. Don’t you do anything else?” You were truly annoyed with this man. Every word pinging his memory. Like flash backs in a reel they spun in his head. “I’ve heard the others and what they’ve said about you.” At this point your arms were crossed over your chest, hips slanted to the side, toes tapping. “I can assure you I’m fine. Go back to Ryouma.” You honestly weren’t trying to sound harsh to him. But him practically breathing down your back for no apparent reason was weird and unnerving.

“I know you’re worried that if I’m not ‘tactful’ enough your precious Lordship will be in danger, but trust me, I got this.” You’d been in this world long enough to know how to care for yourself. And by care for yourself you meant you slaved nights away planning and going over maps to make sure you got the best results when taking out the Charges of Heroes that were placed into your hands the moment you rolled out of that accursed mirror.

Yeah, you fell into a mirror. That’s how you got here.

While you went on about how Saizo could just stop being a creep and let you be, all he could do was see and hear his Beloved [ Y/N ] back in Hoshido. Every detail etched into his memory. Now playing out in front of him. It almost brought him back to the day before...He lost you.

It was so cold that night too. Assassins tried your patience. Wars with other countries having brought back the instincts of war within the both of you. You had been molded into that of a seasoned and fine Leader. You had been busy with being a leader and making hard decisions. He didn’t want you to,though.You going out onto the battlefield always made him nervous. It was why he was always by your side. To take on the muscle. Be the muscle. You refused to sit back and watch though. You had a duty to the small kingdom you protected. It was your duty to be out there in the fields as well.

By this time you were still going on about how he needed to relax. There was already a plethora of other Hereos trying to “keep you safe” and you most certainly did not need more. You also just wanted him to relax and worry about himself and to just make sure he was in top form for whenever it would be that he was needed. You just wanted him to...be.

In times like this, back in Hoshido, whenever you would go off on one of your ‘angry tangits” at him, he would usually shut you up with a passionate yet soft kiss. Pulling you into his big , firm and strong arms and pressing his unmasked lips against yours. And you would melt. So simple. But not here. He couldn’t do that here. He couldn’t because you weren’t his...You someone else’s [ Y/N ] and it tore at him. Any fool would act on their hearts will, but his will of mind was stronger. Even when it was breaking apart for the second time.

“Ok are you just not listening to me or something?” You were more than annoyed. Having been going on about how he needed to chill. His eye looked at you. Almost in a glare.

Oh, if you only knew [ Y/N ].... If you only knew.

He snapped to it finally and his brows furrowed at you. “If you weren’t so aloof about what goes on about you, I wouldn’t need to ‘stalk’ you.” He gruffed. Mentally slapping hisself. That sentence was what started your relationship in your own world. And he knew he messed up by saying that. You rolled your eyes at him.

“If I had an orb for every time I was told that I would have…” you paused…”I don’t know how many but I know it would be a lot!’ You threw a finger down. He scoffed at you.

“Simpleton.” Was all he said to you after, quickly vanishing without a trace. Damn he was good ninja. You didn’t even see him leave.

He’d not be far though...He’d be at the corner of your eye, every time. Just back in his world. Ever so silently watching you from afar. Holding onto his heart break every time he would lay eye on you. And you would never know. You’d never have a clue that the man everyone rumored to be as cold hearted as he looked, once held you to the utmost importance in his life. He loved you dearly. So very dearly...You’d never know though. Never...

♡ Saizo is one for propriety. He's strong and stoic, preferring to do his job silently than spending time talking and messing around, so it makes sense that such a concept follows through into his relationships as well.

♡ He loves you, he really does, but the affection that comes so easily to others he knows doesn't quite feel right to him. In public and in private, he's not one for touching excessively, and even his words aren't that much sweeter. His care for you is evident, though, both in his actions and his gaze.

♡ Cuddling is a bit of a foreign concept to him. Saizo knows what it is, of course, but the idea of spending time in another's embrace sounds silly to him. 

♡ It takes more than a little convincing to get him to cuddle with you but when it finally happens, it's quite nice. In contrast to his cold demeanour, Saizo is actually very warm! He isn't particularly soft, though, but that's to be expected. The whole endeavour is very comfortable and that's all that matters.

♡ Saizo usually isn't one to ask for cuddling time, but he'll always make time for it if you ask. If he notices you're feeling down or not doing your best, he'll pull you in for a surprise cuddle session. Even if you're doing just fine, he makes sure that the two of you have time to relax together periodically. Despite still not quite understanding it, Saizo thinks it's nice, at the very least.

♡ When cuddling, he doesn't mind what kind of environment it is. Pillows or no pillows, cold or hot, bed or couch or anywhere else, practically anything works! He’s always been able to adapt to things quickly and this is no different.

♡ He's always a little hesitant at first. Is he allowed to wrap his arms around you? To give you a kiss? To exhale and finally, finally relax? Saizo's never quite sure, a stark contrast to his confidence in every other area. Despite his worries, somehow it ends well every time. He has you to thank for that! ...Although he may not say it aloud, he thinks it constantly.

Hey @astra-crits! I’m your secret spring giver person thing! I freaked out when @fewillnotleavemymind told me that I got you- I didn’t expect to write for someone so famous! QwQ I’ve never written for Saizo before, but I hope you enjoy this nonetheless!

A pleasant fragrance hit your nose when you stepped onto the cool, green grass. A floral aroma swirled around you as you took in the sweet scent. The Askran garden surrounded you, fresh from a heavy afternoon downpour that gave way to blue skies and a pleasantly warm sun.

You could hear a bird chirp, as your boots clicked on the stone path leading to the centre of the garden. The wind picked up; the breeze cooling your warm cheeks.

Saizo had invited you to have tea with him, quite suddenly in fact. He had appeared briefly before you in the hallway, asking if you would give him the honor of appearing for tea with him. And, blushing slightly from being startled by his appearance, you had agreed.

You could see the steam coming from the pot of tea sitting infront of the ninja, the redhead sitting patiently in the middle of the garden. Why was your heart beating so fast?

You approached Saizo, sitting beside him on the small blanket he had set out. Silently, he picked up the pot and brought it to your cup, filling the fine china with tea.

“Uhm.... Hello.” You said, trying to break the silence.

“I’m glad you could make it.” He said stoically. “I wanted to talk to you about something.”

You picked up your own cup and brought it to your lips, the sweet scent filling your nostrils as you appreciated the warmth emanating from the hot drink. You raised your eyebrows at his sentance.

“Oh?”

He stayed silent for a moment, pulling his mask down so he could take a sip at his own cup.

It was silent for the next few moments, until he sighed and placed his cup back down. He leaned forward, grabbing a small container that sat between you and shoving it in your direction. His eye looked away from you, and he seemed almost annoyed at the gesture.

Taking the box, you placed your tea down and undid the ribbon. The fabric fell off easily, and you took off the lid to reveal an assortment of different sweets and chocolates. To say you were a little shocked was an understatement.

“T-This is how you do this, right? I-If you don’t want it, don’t give it back.”

Your eyes scanned the various treats held delicately inside the box. They looked delicious. You looked up at the ninja with a small, foolish smile.

“Thank you Saizo, these look incredible!”

“Yeah yeah...”

You took one of the round, doughy ones with icing on top and popped it into your mouth. It was moist, and bursting with a delectable flavour. It tasted like a little gourmet cake. It melted in your mouth, and you took a moment to appreciate the sweet before swallowing.

Your eyes went back to the ninja, who had watched you take the cake into your mouth. He seemed to be lost in thought for a moment, but broke out of it quickly and took another sip of his tea.

“So what did you want to talk about?” You said, picking up your cup and letting the warm liquid flow down your throat.

“I said it.”

This made you pause. Said what? When? ....Huh?

“.....”

Saizo let out another huff, gesturing to the box he gave you.

“Those. I gave them to you.” He said as he averted his gaze.

“U-Uhm... Yeah you did...Thank you...?”

His eye quickly came back to you, and gave you a searing look. Were you missing something here?

“You still don’t understand, do you?”

Your furrowed your brow, trying to figure out just what he was getting at. Did you just not hear him say something to you?

You could feel a blush burn on your cheeks from a mix of confusion and embaressment. What was going on here?

Saizo mumbled something to himself, and while it was hard to hear, you did manage to pick up on a phrase.

“Kaze said this would be easier...”

The both of you sat in silence for a moment, the tea in your cups disappearing quite quickly as you tried to fill in the awkward silence. You didn’t really know what to say.

“W-Why don’t we drink some more tea, hm?” You finally managed to blurt, taking the tea pot and pouring the both of you some more tea.

He huffed once more, seeming to calm down as he watched you pour.

The two of you sat in a now more comfortable silence, sipping away at your tea. The poor man seemed to calm himself down as time passed, finally seeming to go back to the relaxed state he was in before you sat down.

As you finished your final cup of tea, your eyes darted up towards him. Not much had been said between you two; opting to just enjoy eachother’s company in peace.

“Thank you for inviting me out here, Saizo. The tea was very good, and I enjoyed spending time with you here. ....Let’s do it again sometime, alright?”

He let out a puff of air, humming in response. A yes, most likely.

You stood up and stretched, taking the box of sweets with you. Saizo stood up as well, probably to see you off.

“Do you need help cleaning up at all? Putting away the blanket, or cleaning the pot-”

“No.”

“O-Ok then...”

You tried to think of something else to say, your mind drifting back to what the ninja had been implying earlier.

...The sweets!

“Oh! And thank you for the sweets!” You said, popping the box open and taking a piece of chocolate. You put the chocolate between your teeth, half of it sticking out of your mouth. Your eyes glanced up at your host to see him staring at you. Quite intensely. His eyes darted down, before looking back up at your own, and he took a step forward.

His hand came up swiftly, ripping the rest of the chocolate out of your mouth and throwing it to gods know where, before his lips suddenly crashed down on yours.

You froze, the box falling to the ground just as suddenly. Your lips were locked; frozen in place just as it felt like time had frozen around you. His hand grazed across your arm, almost as if he was hesitant on touching you.

He pulled away sooner then you would have liked, his face nearly as red as his hair.

“S-Somehow, I think I can tolerate chocolate when it’s on your lips.” He mumbled, almost seemingly to himself.

And with that, he swiftly turned around, items all in hand and left. You remained in place, shocked by his actions.

But you couldn’t help but get a dopey smile on your face as soon as your mind processed what had happened.

Kaze

Lots of soft gestures of affection. He's not the best with his words, so leaving little snacks you like or little notes of encouragement is one of his go-to's. Sometimes he does linger in your presence a bit longer. His hand brushing against yours. He won't initiate anything, but he'll be very happy if you do.

Honestly likes just sitting next to each other and doing nothing. You can be outside in some peaceful little area. Talking doesn't need to be involved. He just likes the quiet peace and being in your proximity.

Very supportive of you too. If there are any hobbies you want to get into or if you want to learn something new then he's happy to encourage and help you two. Depending on what it is, he might join you in learning so you have someone to practice with.

Saizo

Even if you two don't agree on things or want something different from the other, you always have his respect. Any opinions you have that differ from his, any time you want to be alone and have independence, and even any boundaries you want set. You always have his respect and he'll never once overstep.

Wants to train with you often. Not because he's worried about his own skills and abilities but because he wants to make sure you're able to take care of yourselves. He isn't expecting perfection from you, but he'd like to not worry so much about your safety.

It takes him a while to open up about his emotions and what he really wants. You're the one that takes the lead and he follows. But eventually he will begin being more open with if he wants to hold your hand or wants to kiss you. It just takes him time.

Azama

Expects you to take naps with him. When it's nap time, that means that you also join him. He doesn't really cuddle a whole lot, but he likes just having your body near him when he sleeps. Says it's so he can see your goofy-looking face in his dreams too.

He is very sarcastic and makes lots of teasing comments. Even when you're dating he'll make fun of you and expects to be made fun of back. It's no fun if you just take the comments. Really does like exchanging banter with you.

Kind of with nap time, he likes to just laze around and relax with you. Not really into going hiking or rock climbing or any of that. Is happy to just lounge around and talk to you about whatever.

Orochi

So much teasing from her. Just constantly teasing and trying to rile you up. Might end up pushing past your comfort zone with her teasing and you'll have to talk to her a bit about it. But teasing really is her go to in this relationship.

Very competitive too. Like she'll make up silly little "let's see who the better partner is" games where she'll pepper your face with kisses and try to fluster you more than you fluster her. It's kind of cute.

Gives you gifts based on moments in your relationship. Honestly, I can see her trying to get you two matching charm bracelets or something and adding a charm for each thing that's happened (a date you had, overcoming an argument, things like that).

        Flowers were your life. You knew how horribly cheesy it sounded but it was the truth. Your memories of the past were hazy at best, all you remembered was being taken in by your current family when you were about 5 years old- never knowing your real parents. Xander was the one who watched after you the most. He taught you how to run the shop, stood up for you, and always helped you study. Camilla was always at your back too, but for different reasons. Xander could never handle your emotions very well, always unsure of what to say to you after a bad day or a breakup. Camilla on the other hand, always seemed to be able to make you feel better. You and your younger siblings helped them manage the flower shop until your dad made them enroll in college. He was never around either, which meant the future of the shop was left to you, Leo, and Elise.

        The location of your shop was almost comical, directly across the street from a tattoo parlor. On one side, flowers, sunshine, smiles, pastel colors- on the other, rock music, giant scary buff guys, neon lights, and Saizo. He was the owner of the shop. He was an artist, but perhaps the most standoff person you had ever met. You had attempted conversation with him so many times that you lost count, and it always went the same way. One-sided and disappointing. Eventually you just decided to give up and ignore him, as much as he intrigued you.

        The shop was quiet that day, the soft acoustics playing from the speakers softly tickled your ears, and the cool breeze that drifted in through the open door made you smile. You began dozing off at the counter before you heard someone clear their throat. There stood Saizo, intimidating as ever. It took you a moment to pull yourself together and squeak out a quiet “Hi, what can I help you with?”

        “It’s Ryoma’s birthday, I need flowers for him.” He responded gruffly.

        “Ryoma?”

        “He runs the bakery with his siblings down the street.”

        “Oh, of course! I’ll help you pick something out!” You grabbed his hand without thinking and pulled him so the aisle of deep red flowers. He reluctantly tagged behind you. “He’s always wearing that dark red apron, so how about something like this?” Before he could respond you heard two familiar voices throw themselves into the shop.

        “(y/n) make Elise stop she won’t leave me alone!”

        “Both of you knock it off I’m helping a customer!” You yelled as Elise popped her head around the corner.

        “Aren’t you the tattoo guy?” She asked, approaching him with excitement. “Our sister (y/n) thinks you’re so cute-”

        “ELISE!” You cut her off before she could say anything you would regret.

        “Fine, fine, I’ll go.” She said before poking Saizo stomach. A small, wholesome gesture that seemed to send Saizo to the spirit realm. His face turned beet red and you could tell he was trying to hold back his giggles. And just like that, Elise and Leo flew out of the shop as quickly as the entered.

        “Oh god, I’m so sorry about that. They can be so much to deal with sometimes.”

        “That’s alright. My twin brother Kaze helps me out at the shop sometimes and we may be the same age but he’s a lot to deal with too. But if they come back, can you ask that girl not to…”

        “To?”

        “Not to tickle me.” He finished quietly.

        “Oh my god. You’re ticklish aren’t you!”

        “No! Maybe! I have a reputation you know! And it’s already at risk being in a flower shop!”

        “Sureeee…” You drawled. “Don’t worry though. Your secret’s safe with me.” He breathed a sigh of relief.

        “One more thing.”

        “Yeah?”

        “You think I’m cute?”

        “I NEVER SAID THAT THAT WAS ELISE SHE MAKES UP THINGS ALL THE TIME I DON'T KNOW WHAT SHE’S TALKING ABOUT-” He cut you off with a laugh.

        “Don’t worry, your secret’s safe with me too. I’ll be back tomorrow to pick up the flowers.” He said as he casually strolled out of the store. As he reached the door he turned back and finished with “And by the way, I think you’re cute too.” Leaving you stunned, embarrassed, and a little bit thankful for your nosy siblings.

He's very impressed by your skills. Maybe even slightly jealous, but the time you put into practice just makes him admire you even more.

Usually even when you play the wrong tune he doesn't notice it, or rather he ignores it.

Although he loves your music he doesn't know how to complement it. Even when he has the musical knowledge and knows what you're doing right he just can't bring himself to say any of it.

Unless you're doubting yourself. Then Takumi will tell you the entire list of the things that makes your music incredible.

If you feel bad for not playing something of your own? Stop it. Not only is it not something to worry about but also you play it so well the original artist isn't half as good. At least in his opinion for the most part.

When he's having nightmares and you happen to be up your music really helps him calm down, if you want to play that is.

He never asks you to but if you pick up your guitar either way he'd silently thank you before you two go back to sleep.

Kaze

He always liked to listen to your music no matter what kind of relationship you had.

Your music never failed to put a smile on his face. I suppose it goes for much more than that but we're talking about music today.

When you were just trying out something new he still listened to it if you didn't mind.

He was interested in the process of learning a new song, that's why it was satisfying to him to hear your first steps and then the final result.

At one point you taught him something simple. He was really pleasant to teach, he fixed his mistakes quickly and was calm through the whole process. But you ended up regretting teaching him...

Some girls noticed him play though and he was pretty surprised by their reaction, and since he was oblivious to their flirting you had to step in.

Saizo

He doesn't let himself get distracted so whenever you play while he's doing something he considers it more of a background noise to be ignored. But that's just when he really needs to focus... Knowing him this judgement of importance is a bit more often than necessary.

Don't get me wrong, he likes your music! Quite a lot actually although he wouldn't admit to it.

He always looks out for you so when you practice with him around he'd try his best to remove anything that might disturb your music. You might sometimes be unaware of his presence but he's there for you.

If you play something just for him that's one of the ways you can get him flustered. But considering that conversations don't last during a song he doesn't have much problems other than muttering few words of praise after you're done.

And praise from Saizo is quite rare so believe it when I say it's special even when it isn't said with slight hesitation.

Saizo is practically married to his job. He is wholly devoted to Ryoma and protecting/serving the royal family. Saizo would be sure to set aside time to spend with you.

Most of his time spent with you would be quiet walks around town or through the castle gardens. Saizo won't say much. He will let you do all of the talking, and if you don't want to talk, he will hold your hand to be close to you.

Saizo would come back late at night. He spends a lot of time helping Ryoma with everything, but he feels like he can relax and be himself when he goes home to you.

Being married to Saizo wouldn't change the dynamic of your relationship very much. Not many people would notice a difference at all, but Saizo would be softer, sweeter, and more protective of you.

Saizo would protect you in subtle ways that you probably wouldn't ever see. He would make sure nobody would bother you and get rid of everyone who makes you uncomfortable.

Saizo does not like to take time off work, but Ryoma forces him to take days off to spend with you. Though Saizo complains about needing to work, he does appreciate the extra time with you.

Some nights when he is back early, Saizo likes to lay with you. He would hold you close, letting his guard down and trying to tell you how much he loves you without saying anything.

Saizo frequently goes on missions that take him away from Hoshido. He always brings you a gift back from wherever he was. On shorter trips that are closer, he brings you bouquets of flowers. He likes to drop off the gifts before he reports to Ryoma.

Saizo would stick to Ryoma's side during battle, but Saizo would not hesitate to go to your side if you were ever in danger. He will never forgive himself if you get injured when he could have done something to prevent it.

Saizo loves you more than anything, and he wants you to know that. Even though he is not very good with words, he is sure to show you how much he cares through his actions. He would be sure to cherish every moment he has with you.

Corrin has been avoiding him, an odd action for the dragon princess. Saizo hadn’t even been able to find her, something about not being able to see Corrin or even be there watching her in the shadows makes Saizo feel uneasy. He feels something like a house plant, one that’s been denied water and sunlight in the form that is Corrin’s smile and presence. So when he is able to find Corrin, he feels his heart flutter in his chest. 

“Corrin.” Saizo watches the way Corrin tensed up, turning to look at him once before darting off, Saizo reacting gives chase. Not allowing the princess to escape his sights before he pulls her close. “Corrin what has gotten into you! Corrin, why will you not look at me?” 

“I... I’m not good enough to. Not pretty enough... I’m not good for you Saizo.” 

“And who said that?” 

“I do... I’m not anything compared to Kagero... the two of you get along so well. I’m just getting in the way. So isn’t it better if I stay out of your sight? I have no confidence in myself, my looks, Gods and even less when it comes to how close the person I like is to their past lover.” 

Saizo took in the sight of Corrin’s deflated form. How tiny she is making herself, how her eyes are looking at everywhere, but him. Saizo could only sigh, shaking his head before he laughs. 

“Kagero is Kagero. You are you, Corrin. Whatever you are insecure about we can work on it together so do not run away or hide from me Corrin.” Saizo cannot believe that his voice could ever sound this calm and gentle.

“Thank you Saizo.” voice quite, but the fist holding his clothes is strong. Saizo hums in response as he simply holds Corrin as close as he can.
