Kuboyasu finds out that Saiko doesn't know what Legos are because he's only ever used money as building blocks, so he takes his Lego collection to Saiko's mansion.

Of course, by the time he gets there, Saiko has not only cleared out the 5 nearest toy stores of their Lego supplies but also hired a civil engineering firm to make a huge insane money diorama, a rainforest theme with cash monkeys and coin-encrusted bugs.

Kuboyasu can't help but be impressed by the building techniques, but of course he also insists that Saiko didn't do any of that himself and would completely fail to make anything interesting if it was him.

Naturally Saiko accepts the implicit challenge and they have a build-off.

Kuboyasu tries to make his motorcycle out of his beloved old Legos but he doesn't have enough of them to make it life-sized. Luckily, he manages to goad convince Saiko to let him use some of the new Legos he'd bought.

Meanwhile Saiko is fighting for his life because while he watched the engineers build the cash diorama and remembers the techniques they used to make certain shapes and joins, he just doesn't have the practical experience or dexterity to recreate most of them. He struggles to create something fancy for a good long while, then gives up and decides to just go big with the basic stacks he already knows how to build.

To no one's surprise, Saiko gets himself into trouble trying to make a money Tower of Babel, no matter how much his staff tried to discreetly help him (he had banned interference). He has a tumble off the top of the collapsing tower, and Kuboyasu automatically lunges across the room to catch him.

When Saiko lands in Kuboyasu's arms, their eyes meet and they have a certified yaoi moment. Once Kuboyasu gets back to his senses, he coughs and puts Saiko down gently onto his feet. He tries to brag that since he'd finished his motorcycle and Saiko's creation had collapsed that he'd won their little contest.

But then Saiko points out that Kuboyasu had accidentally knocked over his own motorcycle in his rush, and the Legos were scattered all over the floor. Kuboyasu stares in dismay, then gets pissed off when Saiko smugly points out that his fallen money sculpture has settled into mounds that quite resemble the Andes mountains.

"Andes nuts," replies Kuboyasu grumpily.

They get into a scuffle over this, naturally. Boys will be boys...

Thank you for your patience! I have finished making the match-ups for Round 1 which will be under the cut. A little information first.

Round 1 will be posted between Friday, January 19th and Thursday, January 25th. It will be split between 4 sets, each set being posted on a different day. There will be a total of 128 participants (32 participants in each individual set) divided in 64 polls (16 polls in each individual set). By the end of Round 1, 64 participants will make it to Round 2 while the rest will be sent to the Shadow Realm where their souls will be tormented for eternity. All polls will be queued between 12 PM EST and 1 PM EST of the day it has been assigned. Each poll will last a week.

Can I have some fluffy headcanon about Donato and his favorites, Amon and Haise?

First of all, God bless you. And now,

Haise and Donato became friends during the time Haise was at Cochlea (post 240, early Haise days). At first they feared Donato would be a bad influence on his brand new CCG brainwashing but they found instead that Haise was a good influence on Donato, with Donato giving actual answers when they sent Haise to question him.

After he's been instated mentor of the Quinx, Haise sometimes asks Donato for parenting advice when he has troubles and neither Arima nor Akira can help him (this is often. Akira has no experience with kids and all the kids Arima knows are child soldiers so like.) and Donato is like "you know I ate all these kids right?" and Haise replies with "yeah but you still lived with a dozen kids and made a believable enough father for it to take years before being busted." and Donato's like "finally someone who understands my hard work. thank you".

Donato shares his recipes with Haise. They found that Saiko loves the ones that used to be Koutarou's favorite. Haisaki and the other Cochlea operators were mighty confused at first listening to the conversations because?? two ghouls discussing human cooking?? They had a suspicion it was code for something - as Haise is a known ghoul sympathizer - but Arima dispelled all these theories by mentioning in passing new recipes Haise had tried and how good his son was at cooking lol

Donato started teaching Haise Italian (Donato's Italian. Ishida can pry this from my cold dead hands.) but they got stopped because that could actually be used to talk privately about less CCG-approved stuff.

To talk about Koutarou and Haise at the same time would go into AU territory and not headcanons so we'll leave Haise there. Goodnight, Haise. (lol) Now in all my years I don't remember what Donut Family headcanons I've shared before and which I haven't but since it's been a while, let's not care about that.

Koutarou arrived pretty young at the orphanage. He was bright and sociable, quickly made friends, who rapidly became actual siblings. But if the kids considered themselves siblings, not all of them considered Donato their father, especially the ones who remembered their lives before the orphanage. Koutarou didn't have that problem so he took to Donato very quickly. It took longer for Donato to warm up to him for real and not feigned.

Koutarou followed him everywhere he could. Became an altar boy. Actually had catholic faith (Sunday mass was mandatory not to leave the kids at home alone while Donato was away so they all had to go but few believed).

So Donato started teaching him all he could. Koutarou wanted to learn and he's super smart so it went smoothly. Donato taught him the prayers in Latin (hc that Donato is at least a century and a half old. He's definitely old fashioned when it comes to that stuff), taught him Italian. Promised him to take him to the Vatican one day. Koutarou wanted to become a priest too when he grew up.

All the kids knew Koutarou was Father's favorite. It was also fully assumed on his part. They took in the dog because they had Koutarou ask Donato if they could - and Donato can't refuse his son anything.

Koutarou was the first kid to get a "yes" to the old "i had a nightmare can I sleep in your bed?" question. When Koutarou got the okay, the other kids started coming there too (only if Koutarou went first. Donato wouldn't wake his son up just to scold the others)

Donato was extremely tired all the time so Koutarou would make him hot chocolate in the evening. Donato wouldn't drink it, he's no Touka, but he'd smile gently, thank him softly, give him a kiss on the forehead and tuck him into bed.

They had pics taken annually. Donato would keep a copy of Koutarou's in his wallet. On his desk he had the orphanage group picture of the year.

As he grew up and wasn't eaten, Koutarou became one of the elder brothers. Still pretty young, but he had to be the responsible one. He helped the younger ones with their homework and stuff. He had started to learn how to cook and bake from Donato when this stops being fluffy 👍

[#] Happy Saint Peter and Paul! So long we don’t write news. But here we go!

[#] First something unpleasant. We hate to be part of the inflation/speculation party going on, but Deutsche Post increases the cost for shipment of small packages out of EU of 150%, making the cost insane. We decided to increase the cost of tapes from 5 to 6 € in order to put less strain on our non-EU costumers. Hope you all will understand. It is important to pay for music, but we want to be fair.

[#] Two shows scheduled for the Mumbles in the near future: 31.07 at Your Guts Festival in Hamburg and 24.09 at the event Ghost Town Berlin, to revisit independent spaces existing in the city and reviving them for a day. They will play in front of the former Bronx, close to Görli.

[#] Also, we can announce that we are thrilled to release the debut album of Matching Outfits. It is called “Band Made Out Of Sand” and it is truly a pop wonder. The release party will be in Marie Antoinette on 21.09, kick off for their tour in Sweden!

[#] More releases coming up: we will also release the tape version of "El gymnasio en la casa” by Ultrabonus. What we can say, was love at the first sight! Catch them in Ausland at PIA Festival on 07.07 along side of a lot of other great act, also open air!

[#] The Sunday Matinee is alive and kickin, and the next one will be 24.07 in the garden. It is very special for us because it will be the first show of the newly formed The Post Spiderhole Ensemble!

hello hello! can i request headcannons for saiki, aren, metori, hairo and shun with an s/o who does competitive dance? like during the dance season they leave school an hour or so early to practice for competitions and during said dance season are out of town every Saturday and/or Sunday because of competitions they have to go to?

- he always teleports to your practice and becomes invisible so you don’t see him

- he wants to make sure you’re okay

- sometimes you forget important things like water bottles so he’ll teleport very fast and get you one from his house before you even notice you forgot

- he’s also at every one of your competitions but this time he isn’t invisible

- supports you but not super loudly

- he smiles and claps quietly and i consider that a win tbh

- he loves coming to your practices

- just watching you dance is so cool to him

- can’t believe someone as talented as you is willingly dating him

- he always has water for you and a snack when he comes. even if you already do

- during competition season he is at all of your competitions

- he might be late by an hour or two or maybe even not come till the last 30 minutes (aren will never forgive himself for that) but he still always comes :D

- you’re not allowed to ride back on the bus with your dance-mates. you have to ride back with him and you don’t mind at all (“:

- he somehow manages to hurt himself everytime he goes tho?

- he’ll trip on someone’s bag, he’ll miss the seat when he sits on the bench, he’ll somehow manage to get in between dancers ??

- when competitions come around he can’t go to everyone of them because of his mom wanting him to study

- but when he can go he’s like the extremely embarrassing mom

- sometimes you’d wish he’d stay home
