Hmmm maybe it’s just me but I’m not sure whatever I disagree or agree with you? I’m on the fence here if I’m being honest. On one hand I completely agree with the idea that mr3 is mostly there for survival, the thing that bugs me is the *entire crew* is like that, but there’s clear difference in their act. They say they feel even sorry and have no other options while mr3 is mocking the situation, anime even amplified the scene. I guess I didn’t expect the guy to be THIS self serving? No hard feelings there was a shock to me. Am I disagreeing? I’m not sure. Just wanted to put my thoughts here because they were portrayed differently to me.

i think this panel of him sums up the essence of his character very well, both visually in the moment and in the wider narrative as well. we know to some extent that devil fruits choose their users just as much as their users choose to consume the fruit, and galdino's choice perfectly exemplifies who he is. his wax is moldable, versatile -- he can even create copies of himself using it. he's always thrived on well-crafted fakeness; hell, that's likely what drew buggy to him in the first place, and exactly why oda would even think to pair them together at all. like buggy, you must read him closely, between the lines, for intention.
#he's really quite similar to buggy in the end. and of course he is !!! that's the point#but what endears us to buggy more are oda's purposeful glimpses at his underbelly. the authentic warm-bloodedness always staining his image#the figurative peeking at the man behind the curtain if you will#buggy can be so human. so vulnerable. and oda knows that. loves exploring that over and over. through every appearance since orange town#buggy will never be able to help being himself no matter how hard he fights; he's too soft in the end and he knows that better than anyone#it's why he criticizes shanks for being too soft. for not being the infallible simulacrum of the shanks he created/worshiped in his mind#buggy denies the soft parts of himself as a means of casting off weakness but shanks embraces his own humanity as a strength#young buggy wanted so desperately for that false idol to have succeeded in becoming pirate king bc it would've kept his worldview untainted#that yes. there was always a line between he and shanks that could never be conquered. a line that separates the cabin boys from the kings#that he was right. that he was born unworthy#but there is no line. there's only the leap of faith#anyways now i'm going off the rails omg i need to be stopped. whatever. the sacred buggy texts. who even cares. tch#mr 3 galdino#buggy#character analysis#???#yeah sure why not#ask

#just saw niall !!#he was a big charmer as always he's just so very boyfriend#on the loose took me so by surprise i wasn't expecting it to stick around but i love it#i think my favs of the night were black&white and this town#b&w was SO joyful and bright i almost cried lol#this town is sacred#i also... never listened to the show bc life has been a long series of nightmares#and i never felt like i could sit down and absorb something new. after i while i decided i would just. Not#and get my first exposure at the concert#and all the songs i didn't know were soooo good i'm really excited to listen to the album now#and discover what they are all called lol#i think hearing music for the first time live is such a good way to be introduced to new songs so this was nice!#anyway he was v cute you could tell he didn't want to get off the stage :(#he was still wandering around when the post-show music started playing lol#the drive was a bit stressful but he was v worth it <3#tp

New campaign and two sessions in I’m obsessed with these freaks, we’ve got:
Selenia Sungazer, a vampire paladin straddling the line between elegant Dracula and monstrous Nosferatu…
Jaina, a human rogue doing her best to bring some common sense to this group…
…and my very own Corvus Mirrin, a grave cleric who’s already managed to inflict more damage on their fellow party member (Selenia) then they’ve healed.
#I’d like to make a comic about how Mirrin managed that but tldr#we’ve all separately come to bunker down in a nowhere town because we’ve all been accused of a noble’s murder#but soldiers are here for us now so we’ve gotta fight our way through#Selenia is so fucking scary that she sends one of her attackers running#so she takes the opportunity attack and slices him in the back#Mirrin is a grave cleric. they don’t like the undead.#Selenia is a vampire. she is undead.#so to spite her they cast Bless on themself + Jania + the fleeing guard#the guard stops running and attacks Selenia#hit only barely manages to connect with the bless#dealing 8 damage#and while as the Paladin front liner Selenia isn’t set back by this#she’s. more than a little pissed off#thankfully the second she storms up Mirrin backs down because Selenia is 6’6 and ended the fight by ripping a guard in half with her hands#and Mirrin only successfully landed ONE sacred flame and is less then 5’ tall#my art#okapi’s adventurer catalogue#vampire#Paladin#dnd rogue#grave cleric

back in like march? i think? @britebuck convinced me to make a pokesona specifically of a legendary pokemon [my normal one is nidorinx] so i made the world's shittiest most off brand disgraceful ho-oh and had an Immense amount of fun with it for the like two weeks it occupied my brain

this one was gonna be a bigger thing with it defending some rando from ghestis but i didnt get farther than this.
it may have learned 'no' from people frequently yelling at it to fuck off, but by the same quirk it also answers to 'no' when someome's like, indiscriminately screaming for help
i also wanted to do one abt it reviving peoples pets if they're brought to it but did not get 2 it at all. sad

ohhhh my god had a huge fucking dnd moment today. so like in this setting magic got completely fucked 250 years ago in something called the shattering, magic users all died or lost their minds, huia saw this shit first-hand bc elf lifespans and cause shes part of an order of druids which uh. isnt strictly around anymore. insert trauma and survivors guilt etc etc but particularly she had an older brother in the order who went awol, presumed dead but thats huia being hopeful yknow. so naturally shes pretty fucking cautious around the arcane.
anyway today the party met this old ass high elf who went insane and started collecting peoples bones to make a dress out of yknow normal things, and post-shattering magic exposure made her weird enough that making a business deal with her gave someone the option to become a pact of the arch-fey warlock. so shes kind of a twisted mirror of huia's worst nightmares about her brother.
but huia DIDNT MEET HER. because she was STILL UNCONSCIOUS. after the fight from LAST week. and i missed that fucking GOOOOOLDEN RP OPPORTUNITY. BECAUSE ALLISON NEARLY KILLED HER.

#robo ramble#kingdom hearts music already makes me go bonkers but MYSTIC MOON IN PARTICULAR AAUUGGHH#ITS SO FUCKING GOOOOODD#the grey area variant of sacred moon is way calmer than the kh2 version but mystic moon gets even more intimidating than any version#the fact is while the world the never was had never been a home to sora. it WAS for roxas. was.#even if roxas always felt uncomfortable there. he had his friends. even if twilight town was more of a home to him than the castlr#he still had to report to it. he had a bed there.#it was . home.#so mystic moon starts playing and. it shows that this place no longer feels like home. but an oppressive prison.#idk sorry i just had to go on a tangent#basically sacred moon is a good and intimidating track. but mystic moon really drills in that things were WAY worse for roxas#the fact that they didnt even need to make new variations for these songs and YET THEY DID AND IT MADE THE GAME MUCH MORE EFFECTIVE.#THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD PLAY DAYS INSTEAD OF WATCHING A CUTSCENE COMP.#UR NOT GETTING THE FULL PICTURE.
