Hizashi low-key vibing w Emiko and NOT tolerating their classmates bullying her (they haven't really talked before this and his defense surprises her)

Hizashi learning she's into heroes and poorly masking his own interest like "pshh haha wow yeah could you imagine thinking about becoming a hero? crazy." [shoves his own designs back into his notebook accidentally knocking them to the floor] and she bursts out laughing and shows him her own designs and he gets over himself pretty quick.

Hizashi and Emiko annoying the shit out of school bullies, being just disruptive enough to be considered annoying, but good enough students to where the teachers are just tolerant enough of them.

Emiko annoying Zashi w All Might TV quotes just to get a reaction out of him (though he'll never say anything to genuinely hurt her feelings)

Hizashi who gets her an All Might keychain, presenting it as a fun gag gift, but oops! Emiko treasures and carries it everywhere and it makes him really happy (though he doesn't admit it for YEARS)

Zashi being judged SEVERELY by Emi's sisters the first time he comes over only to vibe with the lesbian who's a little too eager to learn his interests and steal his clothes.

Zashi thinking he's going to hate Emi's dad until he says "you should do radio! I need your energy during my shift :)" and he has never shut up since.

Mr. Matsuoka who congratulates him on getting into the hero course and puts his 2 manufacturing cents into Hizashi's equipment designs

Hizashi who grieves when he passes, it's as if he's lost his own father

Emi and Zashi gagging on the spot every time her mom tries to set them up. This gag continues long into adulthood and they get increasingly ridiculous with the made-up insults. (If she ever gets married, he WILL drop one at her wedding for funsies)

Some of these are making it into the main fic obv but GAH!! THEM!!

No, but what's really funny about Star Wars Skeleton Crew is, these kids who live within Star Wars:

1. Have never seen stars, and

2. Don't know about wars (or at least not the war against the Galactic Empire that started the whole franchise)

So they're Star Wars kids.... who know neither stars nor wars. Which feels wrong, but is actually hilarious.

No actually I need to add on more to this. Arcane very unfortunately suffers the same issue that a lot of "progressive" shows suffer in Western media, where they go like "here are some real, systemic issues that exist and look at the consequences of these issues", and then either (1) forget to continue with the theme, and/or (2) don't do anything about it beyond slap on a half-hearted Band-Aid solution that never addresses it.

Caitlyn gassing civilians; lack of accessibility for Viktor which created barriers for him due to his disability; enforcers as oppressors, going hand in hand with Noxian imperialism; Jayce weaponzing hextech, and him already having killed a child because of it; not a single moment is really spent on any of these in S2. If anything, the enforcers are really flattened at the end of this season with little nuance, the complexity that shone in characters like Marcus and Grayson disappearing. Many Piltovan characters do not get even a single second of introspection as to how their actions actively contribute to the oppression of Zaun.

the way they naturally fall into eachother's roles when the other isn't there.

the instinctual head-tilt when Crosshair stabilized his rifle on Tech's shoulder, as if they'd done it a thousand times before.

It's the fact that Tech clearly told Phee all about his brother.

It's the sad, fond smile on Crosshair's face when Omega said Tech made her memorize all the plans ("of course he did").

It's the way Tech knew exactly where to look for that mirror.
