Have imperfect 4Goge inspired by the very functional FighterZ rollback update from a while back.

Tldr smth went wrong with the fusion but instead of it failing it just was incomplete so the two halves didn't merge perfectly.

Side effects include:

- distinguishable fusees halves

- fusees' consciousness can individually manifest themselves sometimes. They're three in there basically.

Don't worry he's still a good boy and will accept cuddles

OKAY SO I GOT LIKE A LOT OF GEM OCS HERE SO I MIGHT RAMBLE

BUT THE MAIN ONES I LOVE AND HAVE THE MOST LORE FOR ARE: LaLi (Lapis Lazuli, she/her), Pearl (he/him), and Bear (Pink Beryl, they/he) !

Together, they are the Flower Gems—sworn protectors of preserving the Earth's beauty, flora, and fauna.

Starting with my dear LaLi, she was the first gem oc (used to be gemsona) i made back in 2014 !! Here's her most up-to-date visual vs her first one owo

Lapis Lazuli's are my fav gemstones (thanks hamtaro) and i made her before SU Lapis was announced/revealed. LaLi is a friendly gem who loves sparring, human culture, photography, playing the piano, and meeting new beings. She can manipulate both water and sand, but she mainly prefers fighting with her Khopesh sword weapon. She taught herself how to fight by watching some soldier gems during her terraforming days.

She grew a bond with Pearl when she was assigned to aid his superior, Petalite, and wanted to get to know him more. During the time of the rebellion, Petalite abandoned Pearl when their ship was attacked, causing LaLi to whisk Pearl away to Earth away from the danger. There, she and Pearl began to grow closer and find themselves in their new world. They even had their first fusion (Prehnite) on Earth !

She started out pretty silent and observant, but she soon blossomed into an outgoing type who wants to fight for her friends (and fight in general, she loves to fight). She's still very much observant tho, making sure their world is free from dangers and her buddies are doing okay, becoming the de facto leader of the Flower Gems.

Next up, we have my second gem oc (also used to be gemsona) Pearl ! I created Pearl before there were any lore or information that there were other Pearls as well as Pearl being my birthstone and another favorite gemstone of mine :3

I haven't made a new visual for him, but here's his sort of up-to-date visual vs his first one

At first, Pearl's lore was that he was a Homeworld Gem that had a past with LaLi and came down to Earth to retrieve her. He was sort of an antagonist to her. Now, as explained above, he was saved by LaLi and lived life with her on Earth to protect it's life. He was a self-proclaimed Fire Flower Knight.

Pearl is a somewhat snooty and arrogant gem who likes to keep up appearances and make sure everything is in proper check if LaLi is off doing her own thing. He can manipulate fire/heat and has a Glaive weapon. He's pretty hard to read and doesn't like to hang out with other as much as LaLi does, but he does like spending time with her, playing the violin, and sparring. Once you get to know him, he's pretty soft and kind and deathly afraid of rabbits. He's usually in charge of doing retcons and keeping maps and charts of places they've been.

Overall, Pearl is a pretty loyal gem who grew to be his own being and not allow to be controlled or shaped to fit anyone that didn't allow him to just be himself.

Lastly of the trio, we have Bear ! They also lack an updated ref, but here's their most up-to-date visual vs their first one !

Bear's lore is that they were once a scholar gem on Homeworld, tasked with other Beryls to keep track of Gem History and Culture. His rank was pretty high and respected and he played his part and didn't care much for other gems nor the rebellion. However, in some of his notes on Earth where he jotted down it's beauty, the other beryls interpreted as Bear becoming rogue and planned to have him interrogated. Around the same time, he encountered another former high ranking gem, now turned "defect" by the name of Dentritic Agate (Dendé). Long story short, Dendé attacked Bear for being to nosey in his business and the two sort of have a history of not liking each other. They did end up crossing paths on Earth later on.

Bear ended up on Earth escaping his interrogation where they knew they were going to either get shattered or bubbled forever. Because of this, they were labeled a "traitor" and had a bounty on their head. He ended up getting wrapped up in the Gem War and poofed on the battle field, however, his gem managed to get buried underground for years. Eventually, he managed to reform by tapping into his latent earth manipulation, resurfacing to a new world.

With no one to turn to, Bear isolated themselves from other beings, trusting no one, but found comfort and solace with the Earth and animals around him. They ended up taking up forms of animals he befriended, especially a family of bears he was "adopted" into. He soon encountered humans, but kept his distance. However, these humans were destroying the forest he resided in, so he took on multiple forms of animals to drive them away, soon becoming an urban legend of a Shapeshifting Forest Protector.

i know i do want to work on his backstory more, but essentially he did end up getting close to a human after saving them and the human pestering them to be friends. Bear watched was there in the human's life watching them grow and have a family until one day their village was attacked and burned to the ground. The human ultimately got caught in cross fire and subsequently died in Bear's presence. Wanting to protect the place this human cared so much about, Bear shapeshifted into a multitudes of beasts and laid waste to the pillagers, but indirectly destroyed what little the village had left.

The remnant of people, including the human's family that survived, connected that Bear was that one myth of the forest, took it as a bad omen, and tried to have him killed. He ended up fleeing and never wanted to get close to humans again. Years later, he was founded by LaLi who was so ecstatic to see another gem and wanted him to join her small gem group of two. At first, Bear was annoyed, but LaLi's continuous pestering reminded him of his late human.

Begrudgingly, he joined her and found home with LaLi and Pearl. He was left alone to his own devices and mainly either stayed in his room or tended the gardens around their base. He tolerated the two and even saw them as family, SOMEWHAT, but he doesn't show it. He does care about them in his own, indirect way, and eventually made it his goal to become stronger to keep those he holds dear safe.

Oh also, they can manipulate Earth and their weapons are Dual Tonfas nwn they love playing their flute and tending flowers

🩰 | I also don’t really know how Julia as Pearl would work, I suppose they have similar physique and color palette, but their personalities are very different, I think if we were to try and compare Pearl and Amethysts dynamic with Julia and MK’s dynamic we could start getting somewhere... but in my binge this came to my head, hear me out: Julia as Peridot. They give me similar vibes, specially post ep 5 Julia to Peridot, like just imagine Julia calling people buttknuckles like Peridot calls people clods!

🍬 | Garnet is a difficult one, because not only is she her own character but she’s also the combination of two separate characters. Nichelle as Garnet is a cool idea I agree, like if Nichelle was a girlboss instead of a girlloser lmao. But there’s also a different way we could go about this; Make one character Ruby, one character Sapphire, and make a literal fusion of both be Garnet, I think that’d be really cool and If so I propose either Raj (Ruby) and Bowie (Sapphire) or Axel (Ruby) and Nichelle (Sapphire)

It very much made me realize Damien does have that main character energy to him and I think I can definitely see it, specially with Priya as Connie! 📚 | Both Priya as Connie or Pearl are such 1000 IQ ideas because they both fit so much, She fits Connie as a socially outcast girl that values her one friendship so much and has a natural knack for battles, and she fits pearl as a strictly trained, battle trained person who does everything she does not for herself, but for someone else.

Some extra thoughts/ideas!!!

So I remembered about the “do it for her” song I and imagined the possibility of Millie as Connie and Priya as Pearl, seeing as Priya trained Millie in the show like Pearl trained Connie. But something I think would be interesting though too is Millie as Pearl, idk why but like it makes sense in my head.

Idk why but I Can very clearly imagine Julia as Peridot, Nichelle as Lapis, and Axel as Bismuth, opinions?

I also think there’s high potential for Emma to be part of this AU somewhere, I just can’t immediately tell what character she’d be. Emma as Sadie could be neat! Which I guess would make Chase Lars? But like I want her to have a bigger role in this au though because she deserves it.

im going to be autistic at you for a little bit now about Amethyst and Steven's relationship

ive tried to write out about 3 different versions of this and i havent gotten one im happy with so were just gonna roll with it okay? okay

one of the big things people talk about in the show is how the gems treat steven. the big two examples being in the episodes following A Single Pale Rose and in especially in Future. but a lot of the things people say are only really applicable to Pearl and Garnet. they dont really know how to deal with steven's issues and they both have a bad habit of falling back into old roles and as the show goes on they both start to more and more default to steven as the leader. but Amethyst, doesnt really do that.

after SPR, in between steven spending whole episodes trying to comfort sapphire and pearl and ruby and bismuth, he has an episode with Amethyst in which she spends the entire episode trying to make him feel better and figure out what he needs. which no one else really stops to do even tho she was his mom.

and now admittedly, i havent watched any of future in a While, but from what i remember Amethyst does try to push harder to get steven to talk and actually Doing things about stuff she notices when compared to Garnet and Pearl

to me, what i think this comes down to is the fact that unlike Amethyst, Garnet and Pearl have never really considered or been considered an equal to Steven. when he was younger and before he developed his power steven was at the bottom of the hierarchy within the crystal gems. and he stays there for a long time. eventually he starts to catch up to amethyst and they a little bit start to see eachother as equals, but not quite. and i think thats what happens in the Steven vs Amethyst arc. theyve both grown comfortable in this not-quite-equals dynamic, or at least Amethyst has, and when she thinks Steven is starting to get better than her, shes scared shes gonna get pushed down to the bottom again. but that doesnt happen, steven pulls her back up and together they decide to be equals on a level playing field. theyre equals and when one of them is suffering the other will pull them up, and when one of them succeeds the other can be proud of them. theyre equals

but theres none of that with pearl and garnet. i guess you could argue that together they have an arc about seeing each other as equals, but not with Steven. at first they see him as this little kid, hes just a little kid hes below them, they need to look after him, teach him. but even once he comes into his own and grows up i dont think they ever really see him as even close to a real equal. they either see him as their kid to look after or even sometimes they start to defer up to him, seeing him as their superior.

you could probably argue that as much as steven has grown uo with the gems, amethyst has grown up with steven too. sure shes a lot older than him and she had already been growing into her own. but to me i think the difference between flashback and even early season 1 amethyst to amethyst by the end of the show, she really grew up With Steven.

anyways yeah. i love amethyst and i love her friendship with steven. i love tiger millionare and tiger philanthropist. i love crack the whip, steven vs amethyst, earthlings, i love on the run, i love no matter what, i love whats your problem, i love smokey quartz and i love that they were the first steven/gem fusion

as promised, the colors each have a preferred hairstyle lol see above

I like to think of the colors working according to SU gem fusion rules lmao. That is to say, when they're combined into Prism, Prism is the single sum of all of them, rather than 4 minds sharing one body. But they have to be in harmony to manage it, so when he gets overly emotional in any direction, or wars with himself about something, he splits. Unlike SU gem fusions tho, they were originally one person. They naturally want to exist as Prism, because being split is akin to like, constantly feeling the mental equivalent of phantom limb syndrome.

At this point, they spend quite a bit of time split, because their quest is very recent and they're still struggling to stay harmonious long enough to maintain Prism. They'll get the hang of it eventually.

As a consequence, Prism overcompensates by trying not to feel any strong emotion in particular, in fear that it'll trigger a split. He's level-headed to the point of complete indifference. Honestly, this is probably why they can't stay together very long. Because who can maintain that? That's not really what he's like. But he hasn't realized that yet.

I don't mean to make this, like, all angst tho. This isn't even that angsty in practice. It's a transition period they're still getting used to. they'll either learn to be one person or they'll decide to live with being separate people, or strike some sort of balance in-between.

I've played very little of LOZ I and only seen bits of AoL gameplay, so bear with me here.

He's a wanderer, sort of perpetually on the run from those who would like to use his blood to awaken ganon. If i'm recalling correctly, there's a prophecy that he's meant to become king of hyrule? he really doesn't want that, so he's also running from that.

he spends a lot of time in caves lol. he's fond of them. he avoids towns if he can manage it, but he always lends a hand when people need help.

probably has the most magical ability of all the links, second only to Mage

he's been alone for so long he has little interest in joining a group

Extremely Tired. He's consistently paranoid and on high alert.

Despite all of this, he's actually mostly content? If it weren't for the threat of the world ending again if he slips up, he'd be pretty much at peace. He's settled on a "this is just how things are" mentality, and he's okay with it. His circumstances haven't made him bitter, if anything they've made him kinder to everyone he comes across.

has the energy of those Kind Guy Who Lives In the Woods youtube channels lol where all they do is post video of themselves foraging and building shelters with no talking and no music, only Nature Sounds. there's always dirt underneath his fingernails. he knows what every plant is and whether or not it's edible. he's clever in fights, using improvised tools and every bit of his surroundings. he's a survivor.

SU Movie thoughts

I’m basically live blogging it but in only one post

I love that the diamonds seem to be struggling with this new way of doing things. I was a little :/ about them accepting everything quite so quickly. It makes sense they’d still be tripping up! they’re like that person who only just now discovered wokeness but don’t know all the Problematic things yet and they keep saying garbage things and then being like “oh wait no”

i love when ppl remember their characters powers and make them use them in little ways that was so unnecessary, for example steven floating gently onto his bed instead of flopping and casually rolling around in a bubble. it’s the little things.(rereading this now after i’ve watched the movie and this was prob just establishing that he had powers but i love how they did it anyway)

Oh Kirishima sort of already suspects it’s Bakugou - more or less? He’s in the process of starting to suspect it, at least lol for being someone who really doesn’t want to be found out Bakugou’s more carefree in his disguise than Kirishima is (his hair is a pretty obvious giveaway, for example, thought Bakugou relies a lot on the ‘attacking and running’ strategy, so in his mind all he gotta do is just not be seen by anyone at all lol) compared to Kiri he gets bruised and beaten up way more too (Kiri’s hardening makes it easy for him to avoid that in general) - Kiri’s noticing Bakugou’s bruises and his vigilante friend’s bruises match up a whole damn lot, so he’s starting to figure that one out

Bakugou’s a dumbass tho (read: he doesn’t really look at people he isn’t particularly interested in) so for him it’s gonna take a while haha

They’re best friends, and sometimes when your best friend is going through a real rough heartbreak and he’s in literal tears over it, you might be nice enough to offer your back for him to hide his face in and let him pretend he isn’t currently breaking down on you. Sometimes, you like a person in a platonic way enough to emotionally support them as best as you can when they’re at their lowest. It. Sort of happens between best friends, now and again. You don’t really need to want in someone’s pants to care about them.

They live together cause they started working together as vigilantes when they were in high school, and once they moved up to college they found it a good idea to have someone back home who knew about what they were doing to treat eventual wounds, since they can’t go to the hospital! Also the rent is cheaper this way

Ooh, I do wanna! Super nice of you to ask -^^- I was actually thinking of making a post about it at some point. Thing is, I’m kind of still sorting out my feelings on the episode? ‘:D Like, several aspects of it left me oddly uncomfortable, but so far I haven’t been able to point out or coherently word the actual reasons why.

Well, I do know that the entire Pink Diamond=Rose Quartz arc and how it was handled as a whole made me suuuuuper uncomfortable right from the reveal until the end. Right after the reveal I wondered in an afterthought post whether the crewniverse had bitten more than they can chew, and, well, I feel like I was right about that one. I just... ugh.

I happen to have pretty intense personal history with someone who played the role of, and was consequently viewed as, a visionary and a humanitarian, despite having committed some absolutely heinous acts in the process. Like, yeah, it’s good that we know where Pink came from and what her life was like before she rebelled, but... man, I just feel like the Homeworld episodes sympathized with her background too much. We all know at this point that - ima be brutally straightforward here - Pink/Rose was a genuinely awful, selfish, attention-craving child with too much power in her hands who, despite her seemingly benevolent nature, never learned to take those she’d surrounded herself with truly into consideration. I knew right from the start that a kids’ cartoon, even one like SU, would have serious trouble addressing those things properly, and... well, it never happened in the end. (Props to the crew for at least subtly acknowledging it in Steven’s “even if that was true... even if it is true” line, tho.)

Needless to say, I’ve honestly grown a pretty strong disliking towards Pink/Rose at this point. ^^; I don’t particularly enjoy being reminded of the part of my life where I was subterfuged into idealizing someone who justified his borderline sadistic acts with “good intentions”.

That’s pretty much what I’ve been able to figure out so far. I do know that I felt like there was something seriously off with how things went with White Diamond, and there’s something to be said about what the episode wanted to convey and to whom, but that’s what I’m in the middle of sorting out atm, pretty much. ‘:D Now, don’t get me wrong - I absolutely adored the new fusions (I screamed out loud at Rainbow 2.0), Steven’s little dance with himself and the message of self-love, but, well, that’s an analysis for another day! I do have a lot to say about this when we eventually get there. c:

HA HA HA! same though, really. i mean, it's cool, and it's fun to talk about the "gems" and the fusions but, man, it makes no real sense. (And that's kind of okay! i mean it's okay if it's just about the aesthetic and not about scientific accuracy. but sometimes you really do just gotta... sit back and way, wow, there is NO scientific accuracy here, huh?)

oh yeah, for sure, it’s all aesthetic decisions.  well, mostly aesthetic decisions.  there are a few things here and there that make me think someone cracked open a book on minerals for it, tho.  

like Garnet.  it would be a near unbelievable coincidence if it wasn’t planned to give the “secret fusion” a name that refers to not one mineral, but a group of minerals.  and Peridot’s hair is clearly in the shape of a silica tetrahedron (the building block of silicates, such as olivine [peridot is gem-quality olivine]).

there’s just enough legit mineralogical Easter eggs that it honestly makes the inconsistency a bit worse, imo.  it makes it a bit more difficult to disregard the lack of scientific accuracy.

but I can disregard it just to enjoy the story.  usually.  I get really pissed when people make posts that dissect SU stuff based upon mineralogy and the posts are very very wrong (like the infamous “noncrystalline quartz” post that I will never forget nor forgive).  that’s not the fault of the SU crew, tho.  it’s just the fault of people not bothering to check their sources or take a mineralogy class or something.

My faaaaaav character omg, I have to separate this in humans, gems and fusions, my favs human characters (ssshhh I’m bisexual you can’t make me pick okay?!) are Sadie and Connie, I love Sadie so much and I’m a little bit worried about her after the last bomb, my poor bby, she’s so tires, and CONNIE omg I love Connie.

Is it just me, or has their been a sudden surge of intersexism on tumblr recently??? I've been blocking people left and right and I just.... idk, is it just me?????

I’m assuming you mean anti-intersexism a la that one anon post i rb’ed last night that was like “how dare you call stevonnie intersex you pedo apologist” BUT idk if it’s just you, but nevertheless that comment really came out of left field??  I think it’s a testament to where ace discourse has gone where “don’t talk/think in-detail about a child’s sexual behavior or feelings” now apparently means “if you even acknowledge the fact that children have genitalia, fuck you”.  Making hcs on what specific kind of intersexism may be inappropriate for an adult who isn’t intersex, and I say may because a. im not intersex i dont get to decide that and b. i dont think vague descriptions are bad, it’s just...if you actually talk about their genitalia, maybe dont.

I am. VERY much an anti and even as an aroace I think people who dont like ace headcanons of minors are pretty valid (i try to avoid SAM headcanons for most minor characters and go with aroace or with just demi/gray/ect, even tho i think ace adults projecting onto minor characters and creepy adults talking in-depth about minors’ sexual behavior are two very different things) but this is starting to get ridiculous.  Hardcore minor/minor (even “aged up”) porn is so much different than like, the implication that two (aged-up) characters had sex without writing it.  Like I feel like people on both sides of the debate have completely forgotten that there’s a happy middle that any reasonable person is okay with (although I tend to find that antis straight up have no indication that they thought of that, while anti-antis act stupid and it seems very...forced...like they’re intentionally sealioning.  But that’s just my observation)  Like all those happy heterosexual endings for kids shows where the kids get married and have kids imply that they had sex - you gonna call those problematic for aging up the characters to have sex.  But sorry that’s off topic and I’m just rambling now.

Either way, not everything is porn.  And I will be the FIRST to acknowledge that saying “it’s not porn!” doesn’t suddenly make nasty undertones feel less nasty.  Hopefully if you’re an author, your intentions are clear, and if they aren’t, then go back and practice until you can make it clear.  Most people with those implications don’t seem to particularly care about the harm their rhetoric does.  Shit I’m off topic again-

POINT IS, not everything is porn when it comes to headcanons, either.  ESPECIALLY when it comes to intersex headcanons.  The asexuality headcanon debate is interesting because it’s a complaint of the stated absence of anything sexual ironically making the situation more sexual - it’s not like straight-up calling asexuality too inappropriate for children (even though people do take it that way, and the lack of people specifying that aroace-ism is still child-appropriate is...sus).  Calling intersexism straight-up inappropriate for children is...how do you say...BAD???  Tfw your wokeness sends you back to the 1800s.  Intersexism isn’t something that can change overtime like the level of sexual attraction that a person can feel as they get older and become more stable in their identity.  Intersexism is steadfast, like the underlying factors behind someone’s attraction (for example, a nonbinary lesbian may identify as an aroace trans boy as a child because of their inherent detachment from female gender and not recognizing their attraction to women as romantic since they don’t yet have any sexual feelings to go in conjunction with their romantic feelings - the identities of aroace and trans boy will no longer fit this particular individual at some point, but the feeling of being detached from gender and wanting to do cute things with girls will stay the same even as they mature).  Intersexism cannot change, and it is a condition that children are fully able to diagnose themselves with.  Of course, they may not realize until puberty that something is wrong, but once puberty hits they’ll likely know and they can diagnose themselves with it.  It’s not like sexual attraction, which comes into fruition anywhere from like 13 yrs of age to 20+.  Intersexism is just as steadfast as being gay.  You can’t make that “too inappropriate for children”, even if it has more to do with genetalia than being gay does.  Calling intersex headcanons for minor characters “gross” is literally anti-intersex rhetoric and as a trans person, I can tell you that intersex headcanons are no more or less nsfw than trans headcanons.  I won’t stand for people shitting on either.

(Also, Stevonnie is canonically intersex AND trans/nonbinary, I mean that CANONICALLY, as in AN ACTUAL COMMERCIAL AIRED ON CN [and the series uses they/them pronouns ofc] about having pride in yourself and what makes you special.  Not that Rebecca is the um...absolute pinnacle of being careful with her decisions, like the whole fusion = sex debacle, but I think anyone who likes SU still has collectively decided that fusion doesn’t equal sex and instead just equals a relationship of some kind, whatever it may be.  But saying “Stevonnie is intersex” is inappropriate is just...gross.  They are canonically intersex.  Die mad about it.)

I really loved the fusion posts and I've been thinking about the AU a lot I lowkey (highkey) want to draw some fan art whenever you get around to telling us about the designs a bit! Hello! It took a while to get back to this bc I hadn’t quiteworked out the gems for everyone. I have now, though! Because you reminded meto, lmao. also if anyone wants to get technical about the meanings or whateverof the gems I picked please don’t, I’m a lowly fic writer and did minimalresearch and don’t care to get super deep about things, thanks.

Alright, so I wrote that one ficlet a while back about Donnieand April, and they were the only two I had for sure down with what gems theywere. (I’ll recap them tho, in case folks missed it.)

Donnie = Purple Pearl.(because of reasons.) Gem placement is his forehead.

April = Yellow(or was it gold?) Tourmaline. Gem placement is her hip.

Raph = Pyrope.Gem placement is the back of his right hand.

Leo = Blue Iolite.Gem placement is between his shoulder blades.

Mikey = Jasper.(like, similar to canon Jasper, but smol like Amethyst ended up.) Gem placementis his chest, also like Amethyst.

Casey =(tentatively, may change if I feel like it) Onyx. Gem placement is his leftpalm.

Splinter = Fireagate. Gem placement is the same as Mikey’s.

They essentially move from planet to planet once the whole crew is together and have interstellar travel once again, staying outside the range of the crumbling empire’s reach, but mostly hang out on one specific planet that’s got very little sentient life on it. Very relaxing for a collection of people who really need to calm down sometimes. except Casey who is raring to go any time all the time and needs to be stopped

And here’s some descriptions and stuff, because hell yes I’d love fanart pls and thank you:

Donnie: He is thelankiest fuckin Pearl you will ever meet, tall as hell and kind of maybeashamed of that. Like, garnet type tall or something. Red eyes, which stand outweirdly against his color scheme. He’s this pastel purple nightmare, and has along gauzy see-through skirt type deal with shorts underneath; you know, pearltype chic. Long hair, usually in a braid that goes to his midback. Coloring….Uh, probably pale purple for the shorts and shirt, lavender purple for theskirt, and dark purple for his shoes. They are ballet shoes. He will break yournose with said shoes if you antagonize him.

April: On theshort side, not overly big but pretty thick regardless. She was designed for war after all, not forcourt regality. Standard pants plus sleeveless shirt dealio. Something close toJasper’s in SU canon, but more yellow/orange color scheme. Her hair is likeTMNT canon, and her eyes are blue. (which has ~significance~ for reasons.)

Raph: short,stocky, power house build. Taller than Mikey by a small margin. Light reds anddark reds are his color scheme, with black boots. Hair is short and dark andspiky on top, p close to being a mohawk. Green eyes, bc it’s my AU I can dowhat I want. (his reason for being ‘wrong’ or whatever shall be revealedlater.)

Leo: a slimmerbuild than Raph, more appealing to the upper castes to look at and be around. (It’sall about appearances with court gems)He’s designed for both combat andaesthetic, would’ve been a high class guard, maybe even captain of said guard.(except the whole desolation of the empire happened and that didn’t work out) Darkblue and darker blue for his hair and skin, and purpley toned light blue forhis clothing; plus black shoes.  Navy blueeyes obvs speaking, and I imagine his hair to be very short. Close croppeddealio. (similarly to Raph, his reason for ‘wrongness’ will be revealed later)

Mikey: evenshorter than Raph, and the same type of power house build. Basically has thesame color scheme and Jasper in SU canon, though his hair is less flowy andmore curly. Kind of coily? If that makes sense. Blue eyes obvs, but other thanthat he resembles canon Jasper/Amethyst strongly. (y’all can probably guess hisbackstory already)

Splinter: tol. Holyfuck so tol. He was a general of sorts in the empire, and a very high rankingone at that. Body type is like his canon ratdad self, and his robe dealtranslates into this AU too. Honestly he just looks a lot like Hamato Yoshi didas a human. Same sort of dark red color scheme too. (bleh, boring, on to thenext one who is not)

Casey: skinnymotherfucker, about the same height as Donnie, and the most ‘metal’ gem to haveever come into existence. His clothing is a mess of whites and greys and black,mostly because he ended up coming out of the ground… kind of wrong? His gem hasa shard of foreign material in it, so while he’s still perfectly good in afight, he’s not entirely a gem and thus didn’t stick to the physical design hewas supposed to. He also popped out of the ground without a lick of knowledgeabout the empire, or gems, or even who the hell he was, so he never took thename Onyx. He’s always just been Casey, and he was raised up with verydifferent ideals than what other gems got.

Anyways. Bandanna boy looks like this scruffy skinny thing, andtends to change his outfit every time he regenerates. (which is often. because he’sCasey and he is always getting intotrouble.) dark grey skin, and black hair, etc. Canon him, but worse, because he can regenerate himselfand his weapons as many times as hewants. Cue endless chaos.

Uh, as for headcanons, I guess I’ll give an assortment ofrandom things I have in my head about this AU:

-Donnie doesn’t like sleeping. He says it feels weird and isuncomfortable with being unaware of his surroundings.

-Casey and Mikey are the only ones who eat food regularly. Everyoneelse either partakes on few occasions, or outright refuses because it’s gross.

-Leo has a vintage collection of sci-fi comics and books,and adores them, despite having… actually lived a sci-fi adventure… literallyhis whole life…

-how each of the boys, and then April, took their new nameshad to do with the books and bizarre timekeeping policies that came from adistant planet that Splinter found at one point and became taken with.

-Raph keeps pets, but not often, since he outlives them alland it feels like they die too quickly to make the pain worth it.

-when they found him, Mikey hadn’t ever met another gem. It was…an experience. For everyone involved.

-the first time Donnie met Leo and Raph, he kicked Raph hardenough he fell down a cliff. Then Leo too. That was also an experience foreveryone involved.

-gardening is a hobby everyone eventually gets involved in.Since the planet they spend the most time on is mostly uninhabited, they cancreate enormous gardens and come back in a few years to see how things haveprogressed. The perks of living extremely long lives, am I right?

-fusion is an iffy subject at first, because everyone isstill shaking off the old social ideals of the empire, but eventually itbecomes a very regular occurrence. The first ones to fuse are Leo and Mikey,because of a dire situation. I haven’t decided their fusion gem quite yet, but I’llget to it.

-no one is sure why Casey’s weapon is a hockey stick, or… all that clear on what that really is… but thatdoesn’t stop Casey from using it in battle. And during their down time. Andpretty much constantly.

-Donnie gets reunited with an old, dear friend at somepoint. It’s an important reunion, since this person helped him find theconfidence to own himself, and belong to no one.

-April’s past is something she keeps hidden for a longwhile, until they find a ship that has information in its mainframe about her,and what she was designed to do…

-sleeping piles happen multiple times, okay? Even if somemembers of the pile don’t actually sleep during it.
