Rogue is full of crap. She nothing more but a entitled brat playing victim and blaming others people for her own poor choices. X-men fans are so dumb or they like rogue so much they let her do whatever she want and not hold her reasonable. It asinine.

Rogue is a character who constantly has to hold on. She’s had to hold on to her control and hold herself back for pretty much her entire life. She can’t touch another person, which means she constantly has to hold back, to keep herself in check, to grasp tight to anything that makes her even a little bit “human” less she be deemed nothing but a monster. This episode is all about Rogue letting go. Letting go of her control, letting go of her morals, letting go — or failing to let go — of Remy… she finally cuts loose, and we see how powerful she is. We see how cut-throat she can be. We see how much she feels, how much she fears, how much she grieves. But this… this moment? When she finally feels the grief through the rage? We see her drop her final defenses, and when she lets go she falls. She completely falls into this embrace and she presses into it. Rogue has spent her entire life holding back from touch, so to sink so fully into a hug like this shows just how far gone she is. This isn’t a quick hug where she’s making sure to keep a layer of clothing between skin contact. This is a full-body embrace with no care for anything but contact and comfort, two things that have been denied Rogue for so long.

This episode tore Rogue down to the deepest parts of herself and forced her to let go, and when she did Kurt and the other X-Men were there to catch her.

also it just makes me really happy to actually see Kurt and Rogue’s relationship acknowledged on screen, they are one of my favorite pairs of siblings in media and seeing them like this is extremely important to me.

Regarding what you said about people not allowing heroes to be human while villains get worshipped for minor good deeds, it's because a lot of people these days have the same mindset as the Big Bad of Tales of Symphonia, (insert spoiler here). His mindset was that humans killed his sister, so it's okay for him to murder innocent people and make the entire human race suffer for a thousand years. His mindset was, "cruelty isn't wrong when I do it, because I'm allowed to hate my human oppressors!"

Yeah, every time that argument comes up. I default to this.

Boy, sure is a shame that two vastly corrupt entities have been allowed to seize total control of the highest office between them, ain't it? If only someone had thought to actually do something about third parties lacking support, instead of browbeating anyone who brought them up for throwing their votes away...

Do I sound bitter? I've been watching this go on for years, while America gets to continue having disproportionate influence on the affairs of the rest of the world. Is voting for the lesser evil harm reduction? Sure. But damage control doesn't mean shit if at no point do you stop and try to address the underlying cause of the damage, and in all the time I've been alive, America hasn't had any push to put through any reforms to fix a system that every American I talk to knows is broken, nor to try and reform the shitty, bought-out parties, nor to build up enough support for an alternative party to oust the people who keep getting by on "At least we're not worse!"

Instead, Americans seem determined to put all of their energy into yelling at anyone disillusioned by the whole circus act about how terrible they are for not wanting to vote contrary to most of their interests for the sake of amassing as many votes as possible behind one candidate that isn't against all of them.

Maybe the problem isn't that they're not voting Democrat, but that you still are. Maybe if you'd all gotten your shit together, you could have replaced "harm reduction" with actually doing good by now. Maybe you could have at least forced the Democratic party to field candidates with stronger principles, instead of settling for "Right Lite" just because it's not all the way Evil.

Have the guts to look them all in the eye and warn them first.
