Just rewatched Milagro, and I must have not been paying attention the first time because I completely missed the bed scene with Scully and Padgett. He fully groped her up and down.

Is it hypocritical Carter to let Gillian have a "makeout" scene (in a fantasy so she is objectified and done to) as opposed to not letting her have a concrete scene in "Never Again" when Scully is a willing participant? "Never Again" is edited for the audience to decide how far she goes with Jerse, but in "Milagro", she sticks her tongue down Padgett's throat.

I don't get Carter's thinking. Did he want to wait for a steamy scene in an episode that he wrote? If I remember correctly, Gillian was on board and looking forward to Scully finally getting some actoin "Never Again" but didn't get her desired scene. I could number misunderstanding some of the info that I have read, but that was my understanding. Is there any background info on whether she was equally excited for the Milagro scene.

Similar link between both episodes- her actions seem centered on making Mulder jealous or at least notice her. It works, but it shows how lonely she has been feeling and Carter filled this need by objectifying her. It's not until the "Unnatural" where David's episode acknowledges her as a partner (wanting to share his experience at the end with Scully and both of them become 1, as partners, holding onto the bat and working in unison). If I remember correctly, Carter wanted to cut the ending scene or not include it but it was David's episode who included it.

Sorry, I just sent in a previous ask about Milagro and Never Again.

Another aspect that struck my eye is that both Padgett and Jerse have very "dangerous" and sharp features that are somewhat unnerving compared to Scully and Mulder's more "rounded" looks. Mulder has a strong jawline but it's not as angular and terse as Jerse and Padgett. The contrasts between Scully's features and Ed's/Jerse's is what can make it appeal sensually dangerous but not romantic.

Ed Jerse and Padgett have the evil bandit looks while Mulder has the Wyatt Earp (more of the Kurt Russell Wyatt Earp) going to roll in and save everyone wild eye look.

To me, there's just something about Jerse and Padgett that makes it uncomfortable to look at them for too long, which is a bit odd because Rowland can be an attractive man.

Gillian hadn't (and still hasn't) lobbied an objection to that scene, as far as I'm aware. Did some digging around and found nothing; so it's safe to say she "got" whatever Chris and Frank were going for.

I will say, the point of Milagro was objectification-- Padgett's; crazed stalker's; the writers and audience's, in a way. Padgett's fantasy discarded Scully's agency; and it was important to show that his hopes-- sex-- were way, way off from her intentions (which is why the light popped in his room, a detail that derailed his original vision.) His crazed reality (her and him, alone, in his apartment; he and his muse together forever and ever, amen) was a justification he'd built around his crazed lifestyle-- his prison-- which Naciamento (his unconscious) calls him out for in the finale. Padgett ends up saving Scully not because he became a better man but because he wanted to be thought of as a different one-- to create a better narrative for himself through his death. It's selfish and depraved, which is why the episode shows that Scully (and Mulder) take no comfort from this last act. (Note: I've seen some writers speculate that Padgett and Mulder were two sides of the same coin-- obsessed men that pit Scully in the middle of that obsession; and that Padgett realized this and sacrificed his love for Scully because Mulder would never give up his own obsession. While this does explain Padgett's motives and the parallels between his and Mulder's search for "the truth" and Scully's tests-- seeing if Mulder would care to pay attention to her-- the episode also goes to great lengths to prove Padgett's wrong multiple times. Mulder is obsessive and narrow-minded, but he will always follow up Scully's hunches and even run back to her side, leaving the perpetrator to possibly escape, when she's in danger: her opinions and safety are more important to him than "the truth". Padgett, meanwhile, enshrines his own emotions and priorities over Scully's.)

As for the broader point-- who does and doesn't have sex-- The X-Files is strung together by one all-important concept: the power of suggestion.

CC's fine with Scully or Mulder making out or doing "the sex" as long as it's strictly fantasy-- Padgett's fantasy in Milagro, Mulder's fantasy in Amor Fati, the Were-lizard's fantasy in Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster, etc. Further, Mulder and Scully could have a sex life outside of the job... off-screen, be it with vampires (3) or hallucinating killers (Never Again.) Again: the only thing the audience is shown is either A. fantasy or B. the suggestion of more.

Together, Mulder and Scully can kiss foreheads (Memento Mori and Amor Fati) and cuddle (Requiem and the hotel Revival ep.), but they can't make a permanent move towards on-screen acknowledgment or resolution. That's why Millennium and Existence (and The Truth) were so big.

Lastly, the facial comparisons. I think you've hit close to the writers and directors point: Jerse needed to be like Mulder, except with a touch of danger-- an intrigue and intuition that draws women in by listening to them, by promising them new and exciting possibilities. Padgett needed to be weirder: a skinwalker, almost-- the appearance of a normal human being but one just uncanny enough, just off enough, to ring one's alarm bells and send us screaming.

Cassidy: There’s an ice cream shop near her house that sells video game themed popsicles, and the silliness of it all makes them taste better for her.

Damon: “Chocolate as dark and bitter as my soul” and also vanilla.

Desmond: Vanilla.

Diana: Neapolitan, though her favorite of the three is strawberry.

Eloise: Cookies and cream.

Eva: Blue moon. In my experience (which to be fair might be different in certain parts of the US), finding parlors that sell this flavor is actually as rare as a blue moon, and we all know Eva cannot stop suffering, so of course this is her favorite. She’s only been able to eat it a few times in her life. This one may or may not be inspired by real life circumstances.

Grace: Pistachio.

Ingrid: Strawberry.

Jean: There’s a parlor in one of the ports he visits often that sells sea-themed ice cream, with salted vanilla, chocolate, graham crackers, a bunch of stuff, and that’s his favorite.

Egg's Gatekeeper

"Whew... So far so good-"

He was speeding around the Death Egg, having just escaped Eggman's prison after being held captive for six months. He was putting on a front, acting the same as he always did, but in reality this whole thing really messed with his head.

He'd lost. Badly. And while the physical torture he was put through was nothing he couldn't handle (Eggman thankfully didn't have the stomach for much in that department), being shown what was happening down on the planet below... that got to him. He knew his friends were still fighting, but he had no idea how many were left, or if things really were as dire as the doc had made them seem.

It didn't really matter. All that mattered was getting back home, and maybe freeing some of the prisoners he came across along the way.

He was in the home stretch now, just outside the hanger bay and speeding down the catwalk after having jumped off a fighter craft. If he could smash through the security measures here, there'd be nothing stopping him or any of the other escapees from taking a shuttle and getting out of there.

Though of course, things were rarely that simple.

He skidded to a stop about a dozen meters away from the end, where there was a rather large superbadnik waiting for him. It was simple in its design, same as all the other scrap bots he'd been running into this time around. What made it unique was the large capsule shaped piece in the center, glowing with a strange, yet familiar energy that pulsed through its body.

"... Yeah, I suppose I should've expected Egghead to have someone to usher me out."

He started stretching as he slowly approached the big bruiser. Something told him this thing was going to be more of a challenge than Zavok and his dumb bee bot.

"Alright, fair warning. I've blitzed through everything else in this place, and I doubt you'll be any different. So, you wanna get out of the way so I can free your captives, or am I gonna have to scrap you too?"

He sounded cockier than he felt. The truth was he was a bit out of practice after all his time imprisoned here. And while he was still confident he'd win, he doubted he could get through unscathed.

Still... nothing's stopped him so far-

Code is the only character in my story who uses It/Its/Itself pronouns, not because Code is nonbinary, but because Code feels those are the least human sounding pronouns. (She's not human, so she wants the least human sounding things for mostly everything.) Code learns after talking to a human that those pronouns are still human pronouns. She keeps them though, even if it does make her slightly "human"

If you can't tell from the above fact, Code doesn't like humans. She finds them fascinating, but she still doesn't like them, or rather, she can't understand what makes a human, a human

Code is the technical parent of all that lives in the world

Code's hair is based off of wires, and can be used as such to change anything about any character (as long as it's in the thing's neck, she can go to town)

As you may have noticed, Code has a white right eye. That's because the eye got corrupted when it made this form, and as a consequence, Code can't see out of it's right eye.

Code hasn't ever left it's "home", and therefore, only hears about events that happen down on Earth from Static or AI, who are utter blabber mouths

Code and Static created AI, like how Light and Void made Izuru and Calmie

Code can crash sometimes, and when that happens, all hell breaks loose, as anything can happen, and there's nothing anyone can do to stop it

The red and blue wires made Coden and Jack, and are where they get their power

Code made this form mainly because Static wanted it to, and it's easier to talk to people if you look like them

Code sometimes pulls dead people into her "home" and attempts to talk to them, you know, to try to understand who and why they are the way they are

Code got her name because she's literally code. She's the code that holds the world together.

Vision floated before the door to Miss- Wanda, she said that he should call her Wanda and he was attempting to override his natural inclination to formality that was most likely a vestige of the AI Jarvis, in order to do as she requested. He knocked on her door- also a request from her. Do not simply walk through walls. Humans knock. Humans used doors. Such things were foreign to him. His memories of existence prior to his creation did not involve having a centralized body. The idea of simply being in a space, and that he could possibly invade the space of others was- odd. He was doing a great deal of research on the psychology and sociological practices of person bubbles. He felt he was making good strides, but most of the Avengers still found him- off-putting- in his lack of intrinsic knowledge of interpersonal signaling. He walked through the door to find Wanda as she often was, on her bed and smiled at him. "Hello Wanda, I thought perhaps we could continue our viewing of situational comedies?" @scarlet-at-her-fingertips

"I'm sorry, Miss Saki, but I'm not sure this is the place to find things like that... this is a school for things like calligraphy, or arithmetic. But there's a temple at the village outskirts that would surely be helpful, if it's enlightenment you seek." She didn't want to have to tell the... youkai? That all the children she taught were human. But even if she took on youkai students, 'enlightenment' wasn't something she taught.

Unfortunately, she didn't recognize the name Kurokoma Saki, or her reaction at this point would have been far, far different.

He can't say he blamed them , even he found the creatures of the light to be such unbearable company. ❛ No. ❜ Spoken with such a deficiency in enthusiasm it practically created a vacuum in the space between them. He looked at her like fire would behold water , knowingly & with every assurance they'd destroy each other if they actually came to blows.

Contrary to the dourness her expression implied , which he could only describe as clenched like a fist , he quite enjoyed drawing breath & especially enjoyed doing so , if the reminder of his living status actively drew her ire. ❛ I'm flattered you want to put your hands on me , but I suggest you keep them at your sides. ❜

Hrmmmm, I’ve gotta be honest, I don’t really have a singular favourite haha but I’ll say the ones that I think are pretty cool

Haast’s eagles, which were basically these huge eagles that lived in nz and hunted moa, when I was little I wanted to ride one because I thought it would be awesome but obviously I probably wouldn’t have been able too, even if they were still alive.

Ohhh! I really like that AU!

1. When Adora and Catra were young, Adora slipped and scrapped up her knee badly. She went to the infirmary to get it bandaged up and when she and Catra talked about it later Catra swore she saw metal under Adora’s skin. They laughed it off.

2. When Adora found out she was an Android she asked for a feast to prove that she could eat and jumped in the ocean to prove she could swim. Nothing changed the small bits of red she saw in her eyes.

3. During the Portal and Remember, Adora’s Android form started acting up and would glitch from time to time. This made her arms and her legs move funny. While talking to Entrapta, she accidentally kicked one of the robots. Punching Catra was not a glitch.

4. When she got rid of the sword, her Android form became her default appearance. It took everyone a while to get used to her but she still operated as Adora would. Prime recognized the tech right away and knew she was a machine made by the First Ones. When Catra went against him, he threatened that a machine’s programming can be rewritten.

5. After the war Adora returned to her regular form. Catra didn’t care that Adora was an machine though and it became a forgotten issue over time. Both of them wished they had remembered to tell Finn though.

EXACTLY, you DO get me, and yeah, I too don't like the idea of getting pregnant, it's just the primal feel of it all that gets me going, one track mind you know.

Imagen having sex with your partner and it's their first time, they have a lot of pent up sexual frustration too quelch. They would be shaking from the amount of pleasure they would feel, trying to process it all. Trying to keep moving while their mind is in another place only to be brought back by you moaning their name. They can't, it's too much, they move on their own making you moan even louder.
