I've been meaning to ask you, should I watch b5? I'm always on the lookout for more feedist sf/f content - are there canon elements that drew you to it in a kink way or do you just have a blorbo you've inflicted kink onto? (no wrong answer!)

The short answer: god YES because it's a good show and it has plenty of characters and scenarios to play with in all sorts of kinky ways!

The long answer: I'll admit it's not a show for everyone because it's really complex and it has its moments of 90s soap opera-type cheese (both of which are turn offs for some people and I get it), but there's so much going for it. Nuanced, multifaceted characters and conflicts, incredible worldbuilding, intriguing plot arcs, neat visual design, such cool and varied depictions of alien races and the 23rd century, action and romance and suspense and tragedy and transformation and so much more! Plus there's canon queer rep too, which for a show from the 90s is a big deal, and the show as a whole changed modern episodic TV due to how structured and planned out its plotlines were from the start in a way that makes it an engaging watch the whole way through.

As for the kink part, it's a bit of both. Kink didn't really have much to do with why I started watching it, but being a fan of alienfucking and such I figured there'd be someone I could have fun with. And the C/entauri, well... they're canonically a very hedonistic species and that's a fact that's relevant at points throughout. I think I knew I was doomed to fall for L/ondo from the first moment I saw him, even before seeing how much kinky potential he has in canon. And hey, he's the first character to get laid during the show, and that just turned me on to him even more. He's so easy for me to mentally play with in all sorts of kinky ways, but he's far from the only hot, horny character on the show!
