The reason why Secret Crush On You resonates with so many people (me) to the point of them watching it over & over again (also me) is because the secret crush of the “dork” (me again) is finally reciprocated & the “dork” (🙋🏻♀️) doesn’t have to change to be loved.

Ships: every SCOY pair
I see you, villain, I see what you are doing and it is not going to work. I will not rewatch SCOY.
I love this show for what it says, I love getting a chance to see all the “undesirables” getting romance, and not just getting romance, but being actively pursued in those relationships. Never know what you’re gonna get out of Cheewin, but I am forever grateful to him for this show.
So, without further ado, here is what I think about every SCOY pair.
Toh and Nuea
[by the way, I wrote this and then saw @ginnymoonbeams response, so please note I did not copy her, that just how Toh and Nuea are, and I thought the similarities in our responses were too funny to change how I wrote about them]
Tumblr media
You’ve heard of bi4bi, you’ve heard of t4t, but you know what I don’t think we ever get enough of? Freak4freak.
Part of the reason I do desperately owe this show a rewatch is because I fully skipped through a lot of the first couple episodes because I was extremely uncomfortable with Toh’s obsession with Nuea and how he was collecting things from him. But, now I love my little fucking freak, and love Toh and Nuea even more knowing that Neua a) knew that Toh was stalking him from the jump and b) was Here For It!
So I want to go back and watch it from the beginning, without skipping through those parts this time. Billy and Seng have great chemistry, once we actually get to them in a relationship I feel like Toh and Neua make sense together, and I believe their attraction to each other 100%. I love how horny they both are for each other all the time, and how much they want to just be making out in the car instead of actually participating in necessary life tasks, like going to school. I swear to God I have never seen a character with such visceral stars in his eyes as Toh has when he looks at Nuea. Nuea and Toh are so obsessively in love it makes me homophobic, and I wish them many more happy years of collecting Nuea’s straw wrappers and recycled soda cans.
Tumblr media
Also, I love that they are verse.
Also also, and I am so sorry but I do just have to say that the first thing that always pops in to my head when I think about Toh and Nuea is how fucking sweaty Toh is all the time. Billy and Seng worked well together, they are phenomenal actors, but dear lord did it pull me out of a scene sometimes seeing Toh just absolutely drenched.
Sky and Khaojao
Tumblr media
This is how you do blushing maiden. I have never been in a romantic or sexual relationship with anyone before, and I will attribute some part of that to uncertainty and anxiety. There is some part of me that really believes that I too would struggle with initial physical advances, and so I love every single character that both reacts to their own anxieties around intimacy while at the same time being brave enough to push past it. I love the scene where Jao pulls away like he’s timid and shy about making out or having sex with Sky, and Sky puts a stop to the action, only for Jao to be like “you don’t have to stop”. Incredible. Phenomenal. Show stopping.
I love watching Jao’s self confidence and security blossom throughout the show as he started letting himself believe Sky wanted him and loved him. They are so great together, I love how much of a unrepentant fool Sky is for his boyfriend. I want Sky and Jao to be fucking all the time so I can systematically steal all of Sky’s shirts while he is otherwise occupied.
Tumblr media
And I seriously don’t know what they are putting in the water at Idol Factory but again, Heng and Surprise had incredible chemistry. Such good chemistry in fact that I despite knowing they wouldn’t actually do it, I would Not Be Mad if Dr. Chalothorn met a certain handsome technical specialist while working with the detective force…all I’m saying is another show with a HengSurprise match up? I would like to see it.
That said, I think my biggest difficulty with their plotline is that Secret Crush on You is about how all the people that are normally sides in these shows, the neurodivergent freaks, the trans kids, the fat kids, etc. are also attractive, worthy, and deserving of love but Jao isn’t fat. And it’s a hard thing for me because I love Surprise, I loved Surprise in that role, I don’t think I would have wanted another actor in there, or that the chemistry would have been the same. But I wish Jao had been fatter.
Intouch and Daisy
Tumblr media
Shan, I am being so incredibly serious when I say Intouch and Daisy mean everything to me.
I will never ever be over these two. I wish, I wish with my whole entire being that we had had a bit more time with them. I don’t need a whole show. But Daisy is such a beloved character, she is oh so very dear to me, and with the emotional rollercoaster Daisy went on over the course of this show, she really deserves some dedicated time to be loved. I’ve said before one of the things I love about Thai BL is how frequently you have non-cis people just living life, vibing, existing etc and how that feels revolutionary. But despite how frequently I see non-cis people in Thai BL, I feel like we are still severely lacking in ~Gender~ romance. We have Yok in Only Friends, we have Mae in 3 Will Be Free, Molly in The Warp Effect, Ah Jain in About Youth and that’s pretty much it.
Every moment Daisy and Intouch were on screen together, there was instant joy, and to this day, almost a year after I watched that show for the first time, I still get fleeting thoughts about the translator’s note that said (paraphrasing here) “wish there was a way to explain how Touch’s way of speaking is so respectful to Daisy’s identity”. Like?????? That’s poetry to me.
They are a gorgeous little couple and I love them dearly.
Kongkwan and Fon
Tumblr media
Becky and Freen have incredibly tangible chemistry that makes it so easy to read these two as girlfriends immediately. We got like thirty seconds of them but within that time frame we did at least get sexually suggestive jokes, and an obvious and confirmed relationship between them. To that I say let’s go lesbians!

Turtles Catches Up With Old GMMTV: Secret Crush On You (SCOY) Edition
[What’s going on here? After joining Tumblr and discovering Thai BLs through KinnPorsche in 2022, I began watching GMMTV’s new offerings -- and realized that I had a lot of history to catch up on, to appreciate the more recent works that I was delving into. From tropes to BL frameworks, what we’re watching now hails from somewhere, and I’m learning about Thai BL's history through what I’m calling theOld GMMTV Challenge (OGMMTVC). Starting with recommendations from @absolutebl on their post regarding how GMMTV is correcting for its mistakes with its shows today, I’ve made an expansive list to get me through a condensed history of essential/classic/significant Thai BLs produced by GMMTV and many other BL studios. My watchlist, pasted below, lists what I’ve watched and what’s upcoming, along with the reviews I’ve written so far. Today, I offer my thoughts on the importance of Saint Suppapong's and Cheewin Thanamin's Secret Crush on You in the annals of Thai BL history.]
I offer a very hearty THANK YOU to my dear friends @lurkingshan and @bengiyo for reviewing this draft before publication!
Well! A VERY belated happy new year from the OGMMTVC shores! I have allowed myself a lengthy onboarding back to the pattern of watching older Thai BLs due to many life circumstances around the 2023 holidays.
But I do still stay on my grind: while I was slowly watching and re-watching SCOY over the last month, I've added two current shows to the list, which I'll explain about later, and I've also taken up reading an incredibly important book to this project, Dr. Thomas Baudinette's ethnographic study, Boys Love Media in Thailand, which is giving me tremendous insight and history into the development of the Thai BL genre from direct reporting in Asia. In other words, the OGMMTVC project is still cooking along -- I'll plan to post about the book when my current watchlist is at a pause, while current shows on the list are airing.
All that being said, I'm here today to report on my watch of 2022's Secret Crush on You. Here's a little outline to keep me organized:
1) A quick reminder of how SCOY got on the OGMMTVC list, 2) A thematic hit list of why SCOY belongs on the list, and why it's so important for the history of Thai BL, and 3) A few personal takes on the show.
SCOY got on the OGMMTVC list way back in May 2023, in the comments of my glowing review of the second season of Make It Right, suggested by @absolutebl Sensei themself. SCOY is directed by Cheewin Thanamin, who had co-directed MIR and MIR2 along with New Siwaj. (He is also, famously AND infamously, the director of the recent shows Playboyy and Middleman's Love, as well as many other shows, including YYY, Why R U, and more.)
At the time of my watch of MIR2, I reveled in the fabulous endings of TeeFuse and FrameBook, the holistically loving and embracing relationships of those two couples, who were fearlessly and openly queer and committed to each other; and I compared those endings to that of another fabulous Cheewin show, 2023's Bed Friend, which also ended glowingly, after a hell of a traumatic journey, for the dear mains, KingUea.
SCOY, from a growth perspective, fits between the high school world of MIR and the working adult world of Bed Friend, showcasing Toh, the stalker-shy university junior outcast; Nuea, the popular, athletic, and gorgeous university senior, and their respective groups of friends, who, to a tee, end up with each other. In the comments of my MIR2 review, @absolutebl wrote,
"...there is a case to be made that Cheewin is having a conversation with us[,] the culmination of which is actually SCOY. It feels like everything in his career was leading to that show[.]"
I believe this is absolutely right. While the public commentary on SCOY was that the first few episodes would be hard to digest -- for me, it took until episode *9* to feel comfortable enough to ride the SCOY train -- the amount of internal and external-to-BL themes that SCOY carries within it marks it as an incredibly important show for the annals of Thai BL history.
I also want to note that, after SCOY, Cheewin's War of Y also airs in 2022, as a macro commentary on the BL industry. Without having seen War of Y yet -- I think it makes sense, and is quite fitting, that there may be similar themes between these two shows as to what SCOY was addressing by way of personal and industry-related psychologies.
I'll get into those themes in a second, but as so many of you know as well: this was also the first production for Saint Suppapong's agency, Idol Factory, featuring (for 2022) a slate of incredible new QL actors and actresses who have already made a fast and deep impact on the genre (...fast and deep impact huh huh ANYWAY).
Putting ourselves into Saint's shoes -- a man well familiar with the pitfalls of the BL industry, vis à vis his associations with his previous PerthSaint and ZeeSaint ships -- I can make a safe assumption that he approached the production of SCOY with the intent to make a groundbreaking show, and to approach the fan service side of the BL industry with as much consciousness for his actors as possible. While I'm not watching Idol Factory's latest show, The Sign, I am noting that The Sign's two stars, Billy Patchanon (of SCOY) and Babe Tanatat are very good at their fan service offerings. (Heng in this video, omg.) But all that being said, the unfortunate incident last year of the untimely revelation of Seng Wichai's and Freen Sarocha's relationship indicates that Idol Factory is also not immune to the controversies and pitfalls of the BL and shipping industries.
What I particularly loved about SCOY -- and why I agree with @absolutebl and many BL fandom veterans that it belongs on the OGMMTVC list -- is that this show unabashedly insisted that all people are people, all humans are equitably humans, and all humans deserve the same emotional and social respect as anyone else. It punched social expectations of the "winners" and "losers" down to the ground to offer nuanced narratives of most of its characters.
We see Toh (Seng Wichai) and his group of friends repeatedly put down and bullied. We see Toh and Jao kicked to the ground for their looks and presentations. We see popular Nuea (Billy) and Sky (Heng Asavarid) suffering from jealousy, insecurity, unrequited love and desire. We see Nuea and Sky objectified. We see Daisy question themself for their femme identity, and we see Daisy's group of friends become so moved and emotional about this change as to both uplift Daisy's preferences and to support them in whatever changes they want to make.
We also see -- for only the second time on the OGMMTVC list, and surely in the biggest BL up til 2022 -- a prominent femme side character in Daisy, one who is very much pursued by a cis male suitor in Touch. (The first time we see such a prominent femme character on the OGMMTVC syllabus is, again, in Cheewin's Make It Right 2, in the character of Yok, who was very out and very gay throughout that season.)
I'm going to examine this more in just a bit, but I also want to note, in a fabulous conversation I had with @bengiyo about SCOY, that this show also somewhat upends social expectations of who exactly gets bullied in a "typical" school setting. We do very much see Toh and his friend group get attacked. We see that friend group come together in support of each other. But we also see them very much accepted, as they are, by the older, more popular friend group.
There are many more examples of these themes, but in any case:
These were nuanced, layered, and sophisticated depictions of humanity, all for a show within the BL genre that had started its journey, way back in 2014, in demanding clear seme/uke dynamics and male/female characteristic assumptions between main couples. SCOY clearly took great pains to examine and upend these assumptions. In particular, the hot tub conversation in episode 9 had me going wild; a conversation that has become legendary as it was the first time (and not the last!) that a character of Billy Patchanon's stated that he was verse:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
By the time we get to 2022, I love what this conversation signifies for Thai BL. From SOTUS's Kongpob saying that he'll make Arthit his wife; to Pat clarifying to BOTH Pran AND Phupha, "I'm not your wife" -- and, now in SCOY, to Nuea being like, "oh, roles? Yeah, whateves, I'm down," is such a refreshing spin to the conversation about the demands that the genre, AND society, place on hulking cis-presenting men like Nuea/Billy.
Of course, the biggest upending to any assumptions that viewers (including myself) may have had about the dynamics between the two main couples of NueaToh and SkyJao was in seeing how deeply insecure both Nuea and Sky were of the stability of their relationships with their boyfriends in Toh and Jao. Nuea and Sky both recognized that it was literally society itself -- and the very deep internal impacts that society could have on the psyches of the nerdy Toh and Jao -- that could threaten the sanctity of Nuea's and Sky's relationships.
Nuea and Sky weren't relying or assuming on their good looks or popularity ranks to win Toh and Jao over. Nuea and Sky were very much in love with these two men, and both wanted to have holistically complete and committed relationships with their boyfriends. And Nuea and Sky WORKED for these relationships, and feared the worst, often, if an internal obstacle (like Jao's insecurity) or external obstacle (like the girls in pursuit of Nuea) got in their way.
@bengiyo, in reference to my conversation with him earlier, mentioned a social shade to all of this that I found fascinating. He noted that this show did NOT interrogate the "weirdness" of Toh and his friend group. I'm actually going to criticize that just a touch in a bit, because I would have liked more background context into Toh, myself. However, Ben makes an important point about this, because he noted to me that majority society WOULD interrogate the origins of Toh's "weirdness" -- and would NOT interrogate the popularity, good looks, and success of Nuea and his group, because majority society would well assume that Nuea and his group are... "normal."
I find these instinctual inclinations to be FASCINATING to ponder, and I really think SCOY did a wonderful job in allowing us as viewers an "in" to a loving alternate reality that those who are considered "weird" in this world deserve a fair and equitable shot at love and acceptance from all corners. Ben noted for me that MUCH more often in majority society, that being queer makes someone vastly unpopular. (Ben also noted for me that what SCOY posits for Nuea and Sky by way of their queer presentations against their popular standings would likely have led to them being ostracized in real life.)
I want to note that this loving alternate reality for the unpopular is almost exactly similar to another fictional environment created by Cheewin in Make It Right -- which prompted an early and memorable conversation between Ben and me early in this project. (Thank you so much to @bengiyo for giving me time and space to read and comment on this SCOY piece.)
I want to posit -- again, without having seen War of Y -- that all of this is fascinating territory for Idol Factory, in its first show, to tread by way of humanizing IF's gloriously good-looking talent in Billy, Heng, and others. I'll know more by way of comparison when I actually watch War of Y -- but I think SCOY does a FABULOUS job in slowly leading viewers to contemplate our assumptions about how "easy" it might be to be a good-looking and/or athletic person in society. Insecurity and instability are common characteristics among all of us. SCOY very decidedly skewers any assumptions that viewers, and society, may have about the "transcendent" nature of the show's fictional "celebrities" to bring all of its characters down to a more common and equitable human level.
By a long shot, these themes are the ones that I loved absolutely the most about SCOY. I have a few personal takes on the show that I'll share in just a moment, but one more shout of celebration that I'd like to offer to SCOY is the following:
Of all the excellent acting in this show -- from Billy, to Heng, to the utterly DELIGHTFUL Looknam Orntara as Som, to the fabulous Surprise Pittikorn as a conflicted and insecure Jao -- let me offer all the flowers to
Seng Wichai, who had me CRINGING, OMG, *CRINGING*, throughout most of SCOY.
I hope this man won AWARDS for this role. All of my feelings towards the character of Toh aside -- Seng Wichai absolutely BODIED this role. I was SQUIRMING during the first three quarters of this series. God, he NAILED every last characteristic that would make a person like Toh so interpretively painful and pitiful. That Seng left Idol Factory last year, before his relationship with Freen was exposed, is, I think, a huge loss for IF. I know War of Y is chaotic, but I actually can't wait to watch it simply to see another side of Seng's acting.
For Seng's Toh to be pursued so intensely by Nuea -- and for Toh to be so Toh throughout that pursuit -- I truly can't think of a past BL actor from the past OGMMTVC dramas that could have done a better and more nuanced job than Seng Wichai to just remain so COMMITTED to Toh's modus operandi of stalking and collecting, especially so DEEP into the 14-episode run.
I will admire Seng's performance endlessly. My very own personal take on SCOY -- which I do not want to detract from its importance in the BL genre annals -- was that I think some of Cheewin's typical chaotic flourishes did not quite comport with the complicated emotionality that SCOY otherwise served.
At the end of the series, we meet Toh's parents in rural Suphanburi -- but we don't get a sense throughout the series of why Toh decides to pursue Nuea only from afar, in stalker-like actions, for so very long. Again, this stalker behavior is only presented as an MO -- and as @bengiyo noted to me, that was likely on purpose, as a means of showing that Toh's friend group would be accepting of each other NO MATTER their unique characteristics.
We also have to wait a VERY long time in the series for Toh to be held accountable for his stalking actions, as he even continues to collect items well into his relationship with Nuea. The flip side of this is an empathic one -- he's collecting the items out of an assumption, on his end, that his relationship with Nuea WILL end. However, it's made clear that Toh had no intention to ever tell Nuea of this side of Toh's behavior.
There were other moments in the show that tonally confused me, particularly in episode 5, the first time that the group goes to the beach, where Toh is in the hotel room with Nuea for the first time, and is both overtly confident that he might get it on with Nuea, but also seems reluctant to actually pursue it once Nuea starts offering hints. I worked this out with @lurkingshan (thank you, friend!) that Toh was demonstrating a brave face and fantasy to start, but was surprised when Nuea actually reciprocated the consideration. This happened a couple of times throughout the show, and Shan's assessment makes absolute sense -- I think I could have used some language clarity around those scenes myself, particularly when Toh was talking postgame with his friends after those moments, that he was surprised by Nuea's acceptance. But, @lurkingshan -- your assessment of the pattern holds, and I understand it.
Once I finished the series, I read @absolutebl's 2022 review of SCOY, and ABL -- I totally understand your perspective. I get the pull between adoration and cringe for this show. A stalker premise is HEAVY. It didn't help, in that heaviness, to have no past context to Toh's behavior, coupled with Seng's incredible cringy performance.
If another director without as many chaotic tendencies could have directed this show -- I think we would have gotten a more complete and contextual emotionality to the show that would have helped Toh's and Nuea's relationship be portrayed as fully full-circle.
I think this is enough of a quibble that'll keep me from easily rewatching SCOY. But, towards the end of the series (@twig-tea, YOU WERE RIGHT!) -- especially from episode 9 onwards -- I felt that I finally and truly understood where this show was going, and what it was about, and I felt endeared to it.
I think many in the fandom will agree that SkyJao was actually the couple that interpreted, much more clearly, the impact of social pressures and insecurities on a relationship, and for that, I will forever shout
SKYJAO! SKYJAO! SKYJAO!
as one of my absolute favorite side pairings of all time.
SCOY was a hard watch for me because of the interruptions of the holidays, of life, and because I've gotten a little less patient with Cheewin's chaos (...I dropped Playboyy, omg, I have to admit), despite my utter admiration for his work on Make It Right and Bed Friend.
But the difficulties I had in watching it should not take away from honoring this show as a hell of an important one. It makes me admire Saint Suppapong to no end for spending his own damn money towards the pursuit of better BLs. And the acting in SCOY was truly FANTASTIC. Despite my own personal reservations, I cannot recommend SCOY highly enough -- because watching it, and enjoying it, is truly a perfect demarcation to understand how far Thai BLs had gotten to its airing moment in 2022.
[OKAY! As I mentioned above, this project has gotten even richer with the addition of my current reading of Dr. Thomas Baudinette's Boys Love Media in Thailand -- I look forward to offering my thoughts on that book after my watch project is over.
I have added a few shows to the watchlist! The recently-aired Last Twilight makes it on as a show that centered disability vis à vis BL for the first time, and Cherry Magic Thailand makes it on as Thailand's first major adaptation of a Japanese manga and dorama. I've also added 23.5, GMMTV's first GL, to the list, although the premiere date continues to be up in the air for that show.
AS WELL! An actual Japanese BL makes it on the list, ha ha! I'm obsessed with this because I'm learning from Baudinette about the Japanese roots of Thai BL. I am in LOVE with Ossan's Love Returns, and it happily features a cameo by none other than Loong Jim and Wen, who hilariously (AND SMARTLY, go get yer money, guys) franchised Moonlight Chicken to Japan. Earth Pirapat and Mix Sahaphap make the most adorable cameo, and they will be inhabiting Haruta's and Maki's roles when the Thai version of Ossan's Love starts filming later this year.
FINALLY! My own personally long-awaited KinnPorsche (OOOO-WEEEEE!) rewatch is up next, but I'm taking a beat to catch up on Cooking Crush. I can't wait for my late-night liveblogs on KP, though -- they're coming soon!
Here's the status of the list -- as always, Tumblr's web editor is NOT nice to this list, so please mosey over to this link for your very latest updates on the project!

I feel in love with them the morning after they played the game and Sky was to flirt with Jao for a week! When he picked him up from his dorm to take school… such a cute scene. Then of course their relationship only got better!!
What are your favorite things about the ship?
I love how Sky is always looking out for Jao but also once Jao started having feelings for Sky he also took care of him. Basically they are both supportive of each other and I just love how they took their relationship slow.
examples - Sky knew Jao was sick before his friends knew and took care of him. Sky doesn’t make fun of Jao for his weight, in fact he doesn’t tell him not to eat but gives him food. He also said if you want me to I can work out with you but only if you want! Sky also shows jealousy well and I think that helps Jao be more confident about his appearance. Then later Sky gets hurt at a basketball game and tries to hid the pain. Jao notices this and goes to take care of him. Once again before the friends even know somethings wrong!!
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
Honestly I don’t know .. I’ve only seen positive posts on these two.

Had no idea I was watching a censored version of Secret Crush On You/SCOY, and that the YouTube official version existed. I couldn't figure out why there was no kissing, why it was all kind of bland? I'm an idiot. Now I've gotta start from the beginning to see what I missed.

the fact that Sky thinks being injured is what makes him lose his cool when he:
Begged Jao on his knees to be the one who takes care of him.
Compared himself to a puppy being adopted and barked Jao’s name.
Chased Jao around a park begging for a hug.
Thought Jao was breaking up with him because he didn’t make photocopies quickly enough & insisted he could do better.
Was jealous of a large pink plushie.
Regularly made Jao promise he won’t dump him for someone else.
But sure, it was the sport injury that made you look uncool😂
Edit:
7. SCREAMED LIKE A KPOP STAN WHEN HE HEARD JAO WHISPER *boyfriend to be* THROUGH THE DOOR.

Always There
Best friends.
That's what the four of them were and would always be forever.
If there was something they would never give up on in their life, it was their friendship because they had been there for each other in the good and bad moments.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Som
It happened again.
She knew it would but it still hurt no matter how many times it happened.
Som shouldn't have been expecting anything to be different because every year her parents promised to be there for her birthday but never came or even sent a gift for her.
She didn't know why she still expected them to show that they cared about their daughter when she had mostly been raised by a nanny and all the attention went to her older brother.
For fuck's sake, Som could have been getting drugged at home and they wouldn't care as long as she didn't do it in public to ruin her family's good reputation.
"It seems it will be one more year alone" she mumbles as she looks sadly at her phone
Before she could do anything or think anything sad, she heard the doorbell ring which confused her since she hadn't known anyone was coming and she was 100% sure it wasn't her parents or brother especially because the last one had spent the previous day with her since he had to go to an important meeting today.
Confused Som went to see who it was and when she arrived at the entry she was surprised to see a maid let three people in.
"Guys? What are you doing here?" Som asks surprised "I thought you would be passing the weekend with your families" she adds
"And not bring our amazing presences to you? Never, Som" Day says making a pose which, even without her noticing, makes Som smile
"And we couldn't let you spend today alone" Jao adds with a shy smile
"Eh?"
"What type of friends would we be with let our best friend spend her birthday alone?" Toh says and Som doesn't even try to hide the tears that want to leave her eyes
"Don't cry or we will also cry!" Day says running to hug Som and the other two following her
"S-sorry, i-it's just that..." Som tries to not cry but she couldn't "I t-thought I would have to spend it alone" she whispers and her friends hug her more tightly
"Never, for as long as we are your friends we won't let that happened" Jao promises and Som smiles even with tears running down her face
"Happy birthday, Som" Toh says as kisses her cheek with the other two following his actions but Jao kisses her other cheek and Day kisses her forehead
"Thanks, you guys are the best" Som says grinning 'I couldn't have asked for better friends' she thinks happily
Soon the group of friends are in Som's kitchen eating cake as they talk about anything and everything before the three boys decide to give their gifts to Som who has to try hard not to cry again.
Daisy
Day hated this feeling.
He(she) felt like he(she) was in the wrong body and it didn't make sense.
His body was male and he(she) was a boy(girl).
Day just wanted to know why he(she) felt like this so he(she) looked on the internet for an answer.
The answer was what he(she) expected but it stayed in his(her) mind for some time until she finally understood that she was a she and not a he like she always thought.
Just thinking of herself like this made her feel better.
But soon a fear came to her mind.
What if her friends, the only ones she had and loved more than anything, didn't accept her? It would destroy her and she wasn't ready to take that risk yet.
The fear stayed with Day for some time but one day she just couldn't deal with being treated as a boy by her friends so she told them.
"I'm a girl" she said one time when they were all studying in Toh's house
"You are a girl?" Toh asks confused
"Yes" she says starting to get nervous
"You mean you are trans?" Jao clarified and Day nodded in agreement
"Yes! I'm not the only girl anymore!" Som says hugging Day happily
"Will you change your name?" Toh asks as he smiles at her
"I...maybe" she answers because she hadn't thought about it
"Maybe Daisy so it is a bit similar to your name now?" Jao offers
"Daisy...I'm Daisy..." she mumbles trying to get the feel of the name for herself "I like it, I think I'll change it to that!" Daisy says grinning at Jao
"Can we still call you Day? I'm asking because I might slip at some point and call you that" Toh asks while scratching his neck
"I would prefer not but if you slip I will remind you" Daisy answers truthfully after thinking for a bit
"I apologize in advance in case I do it then" Toh says and Daisy is thankful that he is understanding her
"We should celebrate this!" Som decided and the two boys nodded in agreement before they all looked at Daisy
"Today Day died and Daisy was born in his place" Daisy declares grinning and soon she has her three best friends hugging her 'I really got the best friends ever' she thinks as she hears them fight over what food they should get and which movie is the best to celebrate Daisy coming out
Jao
He had always been chubby since he was a baby.
His parents said that him being chubby made him adorable.
But Jao stopped believing that since middle school.
He was bullied for being chubby and he forced himself to lose some weight so it would stop but he still felt those judgmental stares from those around him except from his three best friends.
Those three were the best thing to happen to Jao, especially when an old bully came to their class in their last year of high school.
"Look if it isn't the fatty boy!" Lay, the bully, says when he recognized Jao once the classes finished "You still look as fat as the last time I saw you, it's a miracle you even made friends when you look like that" he says as he laughs
Jao can't find words to defend himself and just looks at the ground, with fists closed while trying not to cry while relieving all the times this happened.
Until a voice made him snap out of it.
"Who are you calling fat, idiot?!" Som says glaring at Lay
"Him! Who else would it be?" Lay says pointing at Jao
"Jao isn't fat and even if he was, that is no reason to bully him" Daisy says putting herself in front of Jao
"Oh? Now you have defenders, fatty?" Lay teases and that gets him stronger glares from Jao's friends
"He doesn't have defenders" Toh says "He has real friends something I can see you don't have if this is how you act" he adds and Jao has to stop himself from letting a small giggle out at that
"You!" Lay says glaring at Toh
"Him, what?" Som says with a raised eyebrow "Toh is just saying the truth" she says and Lay glares at her before he leaves the classroom mad
"Ugh, I hate bullies" Daisy mumbles as she looks in disgust at Lay leaving
"Are you okay, Jao?" Toh asks turning to Jao
"Y-yeah" Jao says even if Lay's words did affect him
"Don't believe anything that idiot said" Som says "You aren't fat, you just have rounded cheeks and tummy" she says
"Which makes you the most adorable of us!" Daisy says as she decides to squish Jao's cheeks as if to prove her point
"Certainly!" Toh agrees "Daisy is the fashionista, Som the smart one, Jao the cutest and I am the richest" he declares and Jao finally laughs
"I'm fashion itself, darling!" Daisy says making a pose getting a laugh for her friends
"Better, Jao?" Som asks smiling softly at Jao
"Yes, much better" he says smiling at his friends
"Let's go shopping now! I heard there is this new store with amazing clothes!" Daisy says as she grabs Jao and Toh to drag them out as Som follows them
'They are the best' Jao thinks because he was lucky to have friends that would defend him and help him with his insecurities
Toh
He knew that this was wrong and he wanted to stop.
But since he was young, whenever he liked something, Toh got obsessed with it.
And Toh liking Nuea was no different from those times except that for the first time someone was messing with Toh's heart.
His friends, being the amazing people they were, encouraged him since they knew him well but Toh didn't want to be encouraged.
It was when he first picked trash that Nuea had left out that Toh realized that he was going somewhere he shouldn't.
Some photos or videos were okay but everything else wasn't because Toh didn't want to create fake hope for himself and end up like one of those crazy stalkers.
So, he decided to tell his friends his decision and ask for their help in curving down his obsession for Nuea.
"Guys, I need help" Toh says one time they are having dinner in their favorite restaurant
"Did your crush notice you?" Daisy asks excited
"Sadly no" Toh says and Daisy sighs sadly at that
"Do you need help studying for something or doing some work?" Jao asks and Toh shakes his head negatively
"Then?" Som asks looking at Toh curious
"I want to tone down by obsession/stalkerish behavior when it comes to P'Nuea" Toh says and his friends look surprised and Toh doesn't feel offended because he understands why they are surprised
"Why do you think you need to do that?" Daisy asks once their surprise was gone
"I noticed that I got too much when I started picking up the trash he left behind" Toh says he does understand the disgusting faces his friends make because picking up trash was disgusting
"So you want us to stop you whenever you do anything like that?" Jao asks
"Yes and if you notice that I am taking too many photos and videos of him" Toh answers truthfully
"And what about following him?" Som asks remembering that sometimes Toh follows Nuea
"If his fanclub isn't also following him then stop me" Toh says and his friends nod at that
"We will help you" Jao says smiling at Toh
"Maybe we should start by cleaning your dorm from some things of P'Nuea" Daisy offers
"That is the best start!" Som agrees
"Let's do that after dinner, we can have a sleepover at my dorm too" Toh says grinning and they all start talking about what they should do after cleaning Toh's dorm 'I'm so thankful to have them as my friends...' Toh thinks with a soft smile before giving his own input in the conversation
Always There
"Daisy! My mom got a dress for you!" Toh says entering the room were Daisy and Intouch were staying at and completely ignoring that he interrupted the couple while they were making out
"Mae did?! Show me!" Daisy says getting up from her boyfriend's lap to see the photo "This is beautiful!" Daisy says looking amazed at the dress "But I have no where to use it" she pouts as she is the scholarship kid of their friends group
"Yes, you do" Toh says "Paw has invited you for his birthday party and he expects you to bring your boyfriend for him to meet him" he explains
"Is he sure?" Daisy asks because she knows that someone might say something mean about Toh's father inviting a trans person to his birthday party
"You are family, Daisy" is Toh's only answer and Daisy smiles and hugs her friend at that
'They are so adorable' Intouch thinks '...Even if Toh interrupted me and Daisy' he adds a few seconds later before sighing and going to wrap his arms around his girlfriend and see how the dress that has Daisy so amazed looks like
.
.
.
"Jao! Jao! Jao!" Som calls her friend while entering the garden
"Yes, Som?" Jao asks looking at her as he continues to play with Sky's hair
"P'Mew says he will be free to celebrate my birthday with me this year!" Som says grinning and Jao looks surprised before smiling happily
"Those are amazing news!" Jao says happy for his friend since they knew they could trust Mew and his promises because every time he said he would be there for Som, or one of them, he truly would be there
"He also said he can't wait to meet Tor and present me his own boyfriend" she continues and takes a sit beside Jao and Sky
"Should I warn Tor about it?" Sky asks curious and hoping he wasn't interrupting Jao and Som from something personal since he loved to see his adorable boyfriend bonding with his friends
"Maybe" Som says "P'Mew is a wild card sometimes but I don't think he will be that protective when he knows I'll just copy him when he presents his lover" she explains and Sky hums at that and watches as the two friends go back to talking about Mew and the new series he is filming besides how Mew's company is doing
.
.
.
"I think this might be a bit too much" Daisy says as she looks herself in the mirror
"You look beautiful, Daisy" Som says as she finishes styling Daisy's hair "Right, Tor?" she asks looking at her boyfriend who had been watching Som help Daisy get ready for her date with Intouch
"Yes, Touch will love it" Tor says and Daisy smiles thankfully at him
"Now, let me put some makeup on you and we will be done" Som says turning back to her friend
"There is no ne-" Daisy tries to say but Som stops her
"I don't care, you asked me to help you get ready so just accept it" Som says and Daisy sighs fondly but lets her friend put makeup on her
"Touch will fall in love again with you when he sees you" Som declares once she is done and Daisy blushes a bit at that comment
"Thanks, Som" she thanks her best friend
"No need to thank me, I know you would the same for me" Som says and Daisy smiles at that before giving a quick hug to Som, apologizing to Tor for interrupting his time with his girlfriend and then leaving for her date with her own boyfriend
.
.
.
"This will look amazing on you" Daisy says as she puts a soft pink sweater in front of Jao
"You sure?" Jao asks biting his lip nervously
"Jao, darling, if you don't want to try this you don't have to" Daisy says looking at her friend
"No! I want to!" Jao says quickly "But..." he mumbles pointing to his stomach and Daisy sighed understanding that it was Jao's insecurities getting in the way
"Jao listen to me, you aren't fat and even if you were it is no reason for you to not try or do things" Daisy starts "Don't listen to what those idiots told you, okay? You are amazing and beautiful but if you don't believe me I will call P'Sky and our friends so they can remind you of all that" she adds and Jao smiles shyly
"Thanks Daisy" Jao says and Daisy smiles at him "Let's get six more pieces of clothes and then I will go try them" he says a bit more confident
"That's the spirit!" Daisy says grinning before dragging Jao towards were she saw some clothes she think will look good on him
.
.
.
Toh and Jao were both holding hands while looking nervously at the restaurant in front of them.
Today, they would officially meet their lovers family and neither knew how to feel about it
Sky and Nuea had been asking them to meet their families for a long time and finally the two agreed but in the condition it would happen at the same time so they could be there to help calm down the other.
But now they thought it was a bad idea since they were both really nervous and unsure if this was really a good idea.
"I don't think I can do this" Jao mumbles holding Toh's hand with more strength
"Me neither" Toh mumbles back
"But we promised" Jao says and Toh nods at that before they both took a deep breath
"Let's go" Toh says "No matter what, we have each other" he says trying to encourage both of them to finally enter
With that the two enter the restaurant and ask for the reservation their boyfriends had made to which they are quickly guided to the table where Sky and Nuea are with their families.
"Toh!/Jao!" their boyfriends say the second they notice them and come to them
"P'Sky" Jao says smiling as his boyfriend hugs him
"Hi, P'Nuea" Toh says softly and Nuea kisses his forehead
"Come, our parents are excited to meet you" Sky says grinning and offering his hand to Jao
"And Lam has been telling them how amazing you guys are" Nuea adds teasingly since Lam adored the four friends and talked always highly of them
Toh and Jao shared one more nervous look before grabbing their boyfriends hands and braving into meeting their in-laws.
Thankfully Sky and Nuea's families adored them and slowly the two friends relaxed into the dinner but they knew that even if they had known the outcome before, they would still ask to have the other with them because they would feel much better having one of their friends there.
.
.
.
"Som, I think that is a bit too much of salt" Toh says looking up from the the recipe they had chosen to try and make for their boyfriends
"You sure?" Som asks looking at Toh
"Yeah, we don't want to give them hypertension" Toh says and Som puts the salt down
"What's next?" she asks making her way to beside Toh to look at the recipe
"Uhhh, let's see" Toh mumbles
Slowly, with a few many mistakes, the two the cooking recipe they had chosen and once done they stare at the result unsure.
"This will taste like shit" Som finally says looking at the food they made that didn't look really good
"Yeah" Toh agrees "Wanna bet that P'Nuea and P'Tor will act like it is delicious even if it tastes like shit?" he asks looking at his friend and Som laughs
"Why bet when we both know they will do it, they are whipped for us" Som says and Toh joins her in laughing
"We are still doing it, right?" Toh asks and Som nods
"Of course, we can't lose the chance of teasing them especially after they had to pose with those girls for the school's journal" Som says
"I'm just happy the the girl P'Nuea had to pose with wasn't Prao" Toh comments and Som nods in understanding
"Let's call them here now then" Som decides and with that the two call their boyfriends, excited to see their reaction to the 'delicious' food they had just made
.
.
.
"Should we feel jealous?" Tor asks as he, Nuea, Sky and Intouch watch their lovers dance with each other while ignoring them
"Maybe" Intouch says but telling the truth none of them feels jealous
"I think we got lucky" Sky comments getting raised eyebrow from the other three "Those four are really close and if only one of them hadn't liked us we would be single right now" he explains
"Yes, that's true" Nuea agrees because it is easy to see that those four would do anything for each other and that they were always the priority even after they all got lovers
After that the four boys continued to observe their lovers dance with each other before they finally approached them.
"Touch! Let's dance!" Daisy says smiling and grabbing Touch to drag him to the dancefloor, Touch could only smile and let himself be dragged by his amazing girlfriend
"You too, Tor!" Som says grinning and Tor just smiles before grabbing Som hand so he could finally dance with his beautiful girlfriend
"Do you wanna dance too?" Sky asks Jao but the younger boy shakes his head negatively
"I'm tired and thirsty" Jao says and Sky offer his hand to Jao before guiding his cute boyfriend to where the drinks are
"And you, Toh? What do you want to do?" Nuea asks as he puts an arm around Toh's waist
"Let's go outside for a bit, it is getting a bit stuffy in here" Toh answers with a small smile
"Whatever my pretty boyfriend wants" Nuea says before they make their way outside the room towards the garden

Listen my work task is very mindless so my mind wanders and of course it comes across cruel polls. They’re hidden in the depths of my brain waiting for me to get bored enough to find them.
*Only pairings from completed shows are on this poll and only canon pairings.
