I love making these lists and I can’t stop

Things I think the Marvel Trio (Captain Marvel, Mary Marvel & Capt Marvel Jr) have done in front of other heroes that prove they are all siblings.

(Yes I know most of these are more argument-based but these are all sibling moments and if I think of anything wholesome I’ll make another list.)

Cap yanked off Mary’s cape and ran for it with her in hot pursuit.

Jr & Cap kicked each other under the table for half a hour straight during a hero meeting.

Mary put Jr in a headlock and dragged him around.

Jr & Mary duck taped Cap to the watchtower cafeteria ceiling.

All three kept blowing raspberries at each other during a big fight against a supervillain

Cap & Jr both kept making fart noises every time Mary took a step.

All three showed up to a mission with ice creams smooshed on their heads and glares being thrown between the three of them.

Cap & Jr were put in the Get Along Shirt.

Mary & Cap were put in the Get Along Shirt.

Jr & Mary were put in the Get Along Shirt.

All three were put in the Get Along Shirt by a grumpy Batman.

Mary threw Jr into the sun after an argument (he’s fine.)

Really wished Zuko and Azula shared a "She’s your mom too" moment in like Vi and Jinx.

My dad and his brother got treats on the 'one splits the treat, the other picks his portion first' plan.

Grandma was so proud of my uncle for his 'fairness' because he split everything meticulously.

Dad insisted it had nothing to do with fairness, just 'the little creep didn't want me to ever get more than him'.

I absolutely think adults, especially parents, ascribe manipulative intent to children when they shouldn't and it's absolutely a problem but it's always kind of funny to me when people go online and proclaim that children are incapable of manipulation. When I was three I asked my mom to get my older sibling their favorite candy bar at the grocery story because I knew she'd get me mine too as a reward for being thoughtful and that was way more likely to succeed than if I just asked for a candy bar for me. And it worked. Children scheme at a developmentally appropriate level the trick is not assuming children scheme at an adult level.

you cannot convince me that jinx’s little “looking… good, sis” wasn’t her genuinely attempting to connect w vi right then and there.

like, yes, it was obv a joke/sarcastic, bc vi looked anything but “good” in that moment, but it was playful, and fairly open/vulnerable in a way, esp considering the way she smiled.

one thing i’ve noticed abt jinx and vi is that when they aren’t good at dissolving tension, they’ll try to crack a light (usually bad) joke to the person they wanna talk to/connect with and smile. they actually have a habit of joking whenever they feel uncomfortable or upset, as they both do it multiple times throughout s1 and now s2.

like, when vi made that joke abt caitlyn almost getting herself killed and smiling/chuckling awkwardly, jinxy poo essentially does the same thing.

hell, she literally even wrote her name on her own face the way vi’s roman numeral tattoo looks like her own name on her face. she still admires vi and still wants to be like her to an extent, still full of sm love for her older sister.

jinx just wants to connect with her so bad, guys. 😭 it’s so precious, she just rly and clearly misses her. they both deeply miss each other.

she literally attempts to bond and joke w vi throughout ep. 5 in an attempt to connect and establish that bond with her again, even if vi is too depressed and irritated/angry to accept it initially.

even jinx’s little “she wasn’t always like this. she was actually pretty cool, until i kicked her butt.” was an attempt at bonding to me.

imo, she isn’t genuinely trying to insult vi or her strength, she’s being playful and silly, the way a younger sister would be playfully bratty and annoying towards their older sibling.

esp since jinx swears now, her saying “butt” instead of “ass” (when she literally says “before i kick your ass again” just moments later, showing her growing irritation towards vi) to me says that she’s not being serious here. still just attempting to bond, attempting to be playful with her.

she even came for vi so she could see and be reunited with vander in the first place, and she even allows both her and isha to walk in front of vi as they walk through the tunnels.

not to mention, the way she was rooting for vi to win during her cage fights.

she clearly still trusts, believes in, and loves vi so much like she did as a child, and even now. their relationship is battered and damaged but it isn’t dead or gone forever, not at all.

and don’t even get me started on “he’s YOUR father, too.” UGHHHH SHE LOVES HER SO BAD, GUYS. 😭 she just wants that connection. she wants her family again, and she wants them all to be happy and alive.

those sisters and that family will always love each other.

You were my first friend on Tumblr and it's been so fun to follow you whilst we both write and you introduced me to the Bad Batch Fandom over here! I decided to take a break from my usual Echo and Fives devastation stories and write something lighthearted and (hopefully) funny!

“How about this one?” Fives turns the data pad to Echo.

“Ew. What is that?” 

“A rancor,” Fives says, pulling the data pad back. 

“It’s heinous,” Echo tells him. 

Fives grins. “Well, I like it.” 

Echo rolls his eyes. “If you get that tattooed on your face, I will never look at you again.” 

“Aw, c’mon, Echo. Don’t be like that.” 

“I like to be able to sleep at night, thanks.” 

Fives turns the data pad again. “What about this one?” 

“Somehow worse.”

Fives types something then gasps. “What about a skull over half of my face?”

“What about no?”

Fives groans loudly. “What about you being supportive of my impulsive decisions?” Checking his chrono, Fives leaps up. “Gotta go. My appointment is in a few minutes. Don’t wanna be late.” 

Echo rolls his eyes. “Yeah, because not getting a face tattoo would be a travesty.” 

Fives snatches the pillow out from under Echo and pelts it at him. By the time Echo sits up to retaliate, his brother is gone. Sighing, Echo puts the pillow back under his head and returns to his manuals.

“I’m back!”

Echo wakes with a start and nearly throws his data pad across the room. “Maker, Fives! Do you have to yell like that?” 

“Always,” Fives says, perching on the edge of Echo’s mattress. 

It takes Echo several seconds to process that Fives is back from getting his tattoo. Fives’ face is shockingly empty for a man who’d been hounding Echo for the past week with examples of obscene, and very permanent, facial markings. 

“I thought you were getting a tattoo on your face,” Echo says, pushing himself into a sitting position. 

Fives huffs. “Wow. You didn’t even notice. Right here, di’kut!” Turning his head, Fives points to the crisp lines of the number five on his temple. 

“That actually looks good,” Echo says incredulously. 

“Of course it looks good,” Fives preens. “It’s tasteful.” 

Echo grins, relieved Fives did not get the rancor…or the half skull.

As Frostpaw was struggling to make sense of all of it, she felt something warm and soft slip into the nest beside her. When she opened her eyes, she nearly gasped—Mistpaw and Graypaw had snuck into the medicine cat den and were snuggling in on each side. “Shhh,” Mistpaw whispered. “No cat knows we’re here. But we needed to be near you now.” Frostpaw licked her sister’s ear gratefully. “It's hard to believe.” Graypaw mewed. “But… we're all we have now.” Frostpaw wiggled closer to her siblings, and at last she slipped into uneasy dreams.

I loved when Mistpaw and Graypaw snuck into the medicine den to comfort Frostpaw at the end of River! 💙 Definitely my favorite A Starless Clan scene with all three RiverClan Triplets supporting each other, and I finally made artwork of it! 😊

Mistpaw looking up, and the light streaming into the den, is a faith reference that I hadn't planned but was blessed with. In my deepest moments of despair Jesus has brought me peace and brought me through every single time as He does for all who look to Him. ✝️ So drawing my favorite kitty looking up to the Light with a serene expression behind her sadness was a special detail. 😊

The longer thing I’m working on is taking a while so here’s a thing that took like barely any time.

It truly breaks my heart how hard you can SEE Anakin takes the critique from Obi Wan. Especially after he thinks he has accomplished something to be genuinely proud of 😫 Big brother going in hard when little brother just wants him to be proud of him, so he gets to be the best - objectively speaking and I get his thinking cuz at work I always had the best numbers but was still told I wasn't a model employee - only to be told by the man on a pedestal that there's still something not quite right.

Hayden is quite amazing at making sure all of Anakin’s emotions are right there for us to see and feel and in my case here, empathize with (which worries me? Lol should I be able to empathize with the person who becomes one of the major villains of a galaxy?). Kudos to Hayden, I really don't get how people could criticize him in the way I read they did when RotS released.

Like how BLATANTLY WRONG can people be? That's why seeing how loved he is now and reading how he's constantly got the longest lines at cons (and they WAY over book him) is so lovely to read about. Shame it took so long but I'll take better late than never in this case
