#okay but reading this Belloc essay on Austen really made something click in my mind#and it’s because of something he said#which is that women care more about what men think of them generally#(as a general rule. not all the time. etc.)#and men care more about the opinion of the one woman they care about#like women do care (as a first instinct at least) what every man she meets thinks of her#but men are mostly indifferent. until they’re NOT.#which makes women more vulnerable to a greater number of people#but men are MORE painfully vulnerable to the woman whose opinion they care about#and I don’t actually know that that vulnerability only extends to a woman they are attracted to/feel romantic feelings for#I think if they just think well of you as a person you (a woman) have a lot of power over them#which is sooooo interesting and makes so much sense!!!! and is something I’ve sort of been dancing around with teaching#like. a lot of the boys I teach come to care about what I think about them#which doesn’t mean they all have a crush on me. though that step can be super easy and super small#hence the need for the boundaries of steel etc. but it does mean that they care what I think about them!#and I’ve always felt that instinctively and felt that I had to be so gentle with them because the power to crush them is mine if I so choose#don’t let me overstate it. it doesn’t happen all the time or anything close to it. but the thing about me being a teacher is that#they are forced to know me not just in a surface-level way. simply because I spend so much time with them#and talk to them a lot!#ANYWAY. enough about me but yeah this hit me so hard and of course exceptions exist#and/or endless variations on this exist because people are unique and surprising and also everything is changing all the time#etc. etc. but there is something to this I think! and you know what#it’s so interesting because that base-level instinct for women (allowing it to be a thing I mean) can be grown out of#I have trained myself out of/maturity has helped me leave behind that immediate female instinct#of being hurt at the idea that this random waiter (for example) is indifferent towards me. I’ve come to accept it#the instinct is still there!!! because imo women are always scanning and searching and sizing up. and also we are so open to being won over#if that makes sense? which is why insta comments complaining about how only good looking men get away with things like. PLEASE.#there are so many medium-ugly men who get married. it’s the average because the average woman is prettier than the average man#(this is not an insult) women CAN be and usually are so open to being surprised. won over. moved by the simple fact that a guy likes them#and men are not like that. but my point is: men don’t grow out of caring if they care. when they care they care sooooooo much. anyways yeah

hmmmm i know going up to banff on the friday of the long weekend is probably a bad idea, but also what if i went to banff on my birthday?
#i want to do a hike i think#thought about a cave tour but i don't think im feeling that adventurous yet#but a hike would be good...and there are lots right near banff#and then i could chill in banff for a while before heading home#also my aunt and i were supposed to go up to banff earlier this year but had to cancel bc she had to work + there was a nasty snowstorm#sooooooo like. not excited to deal with the traffic but it could be a cool little solo trip#and then i have family/friend plans the next 2 days#or maybe ill just go to kananaskis so i don't have to deal with driving in town..HIGH SPEED RAIL WHEN#anyway. gotta stop kowtowing to my anxiety bc if i don't get out and do stuff i apparently have meltdowns and literally run away from work#i still don't wanna go too far out into the wilderness on a solo hike though cause im not like the Greatest outdoorsman yet#sooooo banff? canmore? i could get real freaky and go across the border or down through crowsnest pass...#it really is only like 3 hours to radium...#ANYWAY THESE TAGS GOT OUT OF HAND#THE POINT IS I NEED TO PICK A TOWN + HIKE FOR MY BIRTHDAY#AND I NEED TO BUY A BEAR BELL

my ex landlord is lying about me and i cant breathe
i cant even fight it if i want to be able to rent anywhere in the future
my friends told me my only option is to go to the mediation and then settle
either way, she wins and i have to just figure it out
#landlords are fucking scum#the guy she hired to renovate the floo sent a letter for the tenancy branch to send to me telling me that it was quote#'un-rentable (and un-acceptable)'#everything stated in that letter was a lie#i called my friend because i was second guessing myself so hard#i wasnt sure if it was real or not#why are they allowed to do this#if i fight it then itll go on my permanent record and no one will want to rent to me again#if i dont then im out ⅓ of my deposit#which doesnt sound like much i know#but money doesnt exactly grow on trees and the province doesnt want to give me any more than they have to#i cant eat i cant breathe i cant function#i feel so sick right now#i have shit to do around the house rn but i cant even get up because i feel so weak#was meant to say 'floor' btw not floo#she was renovating all the suites from carpet to vinyl plank flooring and mine was the last one to go#theyre going for the 'the previous tenant was sooooo dirty and sooooooo gross we haaaaaad to replace the floors!' angle ig#dont wanna pay for their own renos#i just#i hope she gets what she deserves#thats all

i just finished watching a drawing tutorial im going to fucking explode

he's surrounded by girls who swear they know better than him (they do) and most of the time, whenever you, vanessa, and abby are all in the same vicinity, as soon as you step away they're both all "you're so obsessed" "you've got hearts in your eyes". meanwhile, mike swears up and down that no, he's not obsessed he's just very appreciative. and actually, he's not even obvious about his true level of affection towards you.
but maybe there's some truth to abby and vanessa's teasing because as soon as you're both alone, even just for a few minutes as abby runs to the bathroom, he's on you. his hand between your legs under the blanket, the sound of the two of you kissing a little obnoxiously loud in the silence that the paused movie has created.
there's just a small window in this moment where he gets to taste your lips, and he's using every second to his advantage. lips just a little too fast against yours, his tongue slipping past them to meld with yours, allowing you to taste the cherry coke that he's been sipping all night along with the salt from the popcorn you'd been sharing. his hand presses against your mound, he cups it, and then the toilet flushes down the hall and he pulls his palm from under the blanket.
he kisses you twice more, chaste yet not fleeting, and then he's sitting back and smiling at abby as she comes skipping down the hall.
"ready?" he asks her, just before he presses play.

Highlights of The Teen Wolf DVD Cast Commentary (Ep. 1)
Dylan pretending to be Crystal Reed (who couldn't make it that day).
The cast constantly talking about boobs, balls, butts, and pointing out Dylan's penis outline (which they refer to as his "mammal toe").
Their stunt guy is named Spider.
Dylan talking about how inexperienced, nervous, unattractive (apparently he sometimes breaks out into "mouth herpes" when he's nervous), and awful he is and everyone immediately telling him how amazing he is, Hoechlin even saying he was born an amazing actor and Holland saying she absolutely loves seeing his cheeks all pink and blotchy because it means he's throwing himself 100% into a scene.
Hoechlin was the only one to point out that Posey's pre-transformation looked too premature ejaculatey and recommended they try to shoot the sequence more centered around the head. He didn't say anything until the very last minute, though, because he kept expecting Jeff or any other numerous coordinators or higher ups to notice, before shyly piping up about it.
Sooooooo many jokes flying left and right in complete deadpan, it's sometimes impossible to know what's an actual fact or a joke.
They used KY Jelly as werewolf drool. So Posey's first transformation scene had him with a mouthful of lube.
The teacher-extra couldn't talk and write on the whiteboard at the same time, so they had to CGI him writing the correct word on the board.
Dylan was sooooo excited to film that intro scene of Stiles hanging from the roof because it was technically a stunt and it involved hanging by a crane, but the first time he did it, he blacked out.
Holland originally did the voice of Mrs. Argent on the phone talking to Allison, but it was cut.
Itty-Bitty, first-time-baby-actor-Dylan blatantly looking down at the ground to stand correctly on his mark.
Posey did 17 takes of swiping at a chair to make it land correctly only for them to cut it anyway.
Posey, Hoechlin, Dylan, Holland, and Colton are all cuddled on the same couch in each other's arms as they commentate.
Hoechlin: "Here I'm just standing around." "Oh! Another great shot of me standing around, staring quietly!" "Look, look, look! I'm just standing there, staring!"

Kiki just smiled as she let her silly little friend drunkenly lean into her, cushioned by her buxom chest and soft blonde hair. First-timers always get so giggly and happy. They are light-weights as their minds are lightened and they give into the amazing feeling of being a bimbo. Even Kiki used to be the same way the first time she tested out her signature drink. So Kiki knows to be tolerant and tender until her tender BMBO drinkers try more and increase their own tolerance.
"I'm sooooo glad you like it, 'Nally! I bet you'll like your second serving even more. And the next one...and the next one...and, like, all of them! 'Cuz BMBO is the best!"
