heyy there, a brilliant idea came in my head: what if when they were first introduced to each other sg bee and sg blades were actually rivals and hated each other? that was until they gradually fell for each other

When the RB team found out Hornet was also on Earth they were a bit intimidated (rightfully so). But Blades was the one who suggested they get on his good side since Hornet worked for THE Optimus Prime and it would be in their best interest to do so.

Needless to say once they got to see the infamous Hornet in person is when gears began turning (especially for Blades). Heatwave is seeing ALL the red flags and is also just now realizing that he was dragged into a big mess.

I can tell you right now that when Hornet first met Blades he wasn't too thrilled. This guy seems incompetent and annoying along with the rest of the RB team. And they might get in the way of his goals. That is until Blades proves just how good at his job he is and Hornet changed his mind.

Boulder and Heatwave were the most embarrassed when it happened. Chase would be singing his ass off every sevond he gets, he would definitely take advantage of it for shits and giggles. Blades just, didn't talk at all.

Unlike the original, she despised her partners (Tailgate and Cliffjumper). I suspect that Tailgate died himself during the war, and Arcee took the opportunity to drain all the blood out of him and used it already for her own refueling. Blood is not as efficient a fuel as pure energon (plus the autobots consumed dark energon, which was also mixed with their blood), so she became a sort of local vampire. If she were human, she'd obviously be climbing into bed with men and then slitting their throats in their sleep.

If Airachnid is a spider, then sgArcee is a mantis x) Who could really bite your head off. It's possible she's encountered insecticons. Again, perceiving them as a source of energon. And from the corpse of one of them, Arcee could get similar claws, replacing her usual blades.

She may have had a special relationship with Optimus, but he clearly didn't consider Arcee an equal. The fembot herself realized that it only temporarily elevated her status over the other autobots, so she relied only on herself.

Arcee could find some hidden insecticon nest, from which she also siphoned blood for her supplies. "Hit first before they hit you" was her survival tactic, but since no one had informed her that Ratchet had conducted an experiment on Airachnid, the spark-eater's appearance took her by surprise.

No one noticed the disappearance of this two-wheeler.

Yelena thinks you’re seeing another Woman, but it’s much more complicated than that.

Taiwan, you crept inside an apartment complex and to a door. You slowly gripped the handle and drew your SG-09 Handgun. Opening the door you crept in the dimly lit small room, searching quickly you noticed the dim lights, and TV was off. You felt it and sensed warmth. It was turned off recently. You gave it one last look before sensing someone was in the room, calmly you lowered your handgun and pressed the device in your ear.

“Yelena, Room 301.” You said, “seems they left.. we recon in 5.” It was a lie, Yelena knew that and made her way upstairs as you waited the attack. You heard the shuffle of feet and quickly turned around, before you could even lift your gun the Windows legs clamped around your neck and pinned you to the door and slammed it shut. dropping your gun you gripped her hips and swung her into the wall as she fell. Being a Super soldier you excelled in Hand to Hand combat, which you slowly began to dominate her in, ducking her punches and kicks and trying to restrain her with little success, due landed a good jab to your nose, making you judo throw her right into the kitchen and into the table.

“Okay! Are you done now?” You asked her approaching, she quickly took a kitchen knife.

“Of course not.” You duck the first few swings until she catches the blade right in your shoulder. This time you don’t hold back and slam her into the kitchen sink pretty hard. She relates with another leg choke, a triangle. You fell back and landed back first on the table, your vision slowly faded into a mist of red caught the window, and something in her just, changed. You looked over to Yelena who casually sprays the woman. Who snaps out of her trance, and quickly lets you go.

“I’m sorry I—“

“He’ll be fine.” Yelena said, and let the girl go, you sit up as you yank the knife from your shoulder. “Where were you?” You asked her, and began to look for a rag.

“I was, here. Walking.” She shrugged, you slowly turned to face her. “Walking? While I was fighting for my life?” You huffed, Yelena sat down at the broken dinner table.

“Well, if I do remember correctly before we got here to said “They’re just a bunch of woman, how bad can they be.” Is what you said, so I thought you could handle it.” She obviously was thickening the sarcasm. You reluctantly found a washcloth and pressed it against your wound. “Fair enough.” You muttered. You felt the sudden ting of your phone, and checked it. A smile crept along your face that Yelena noticed immediately.

“Something amusing?” She asked, you put the phone away and stood up with a smile. “Nah, just have a meeting with someone, hopefully it goes well.” You leaned in placing a warm kiss on her cheek, Yelena was pretty confident in her relationship with you, why wouldn’t she? She’s never had any reason to lack any, until now.

“So, any other windows here or…?” You slowly trailed off, Yelena shook her head.

“Um, no.. none else.” You said.

“Awesome, New Yorks hours away, you should sleep on the flight there.” You walked to the door, and Yelena watched you go, something in her gnawing her to ask you, but she doesn’t. You had your own trip planned, not back to New York but to a small town called WestView, New Jersey.

You pulled up to the home in your rented car and exited the vehicle, taking a deep breath you approached the front door and knocked. You waited for what felt like forever, until a familiar face opened the door; Wanda.

“You’re here early, she said.” You awkwardly laughed as you looked around. “Yeah when I saw your message I uh.. rushed here.”

“All the way from Taiwan?”

“Heh… Yeah.” You admit, Wanda shook her head and side stepped, letting you in. You walked into the house that felt like it was out of an early 90’s sitcom. “Sit.” She said, you find a somewhat comfortable spot on her couch and so does Wanda, more leisurely of course. “You really must be in trouble if you came to New Jersey for the Scarlet Witch.” She jokes, but you were and you admitted it.

“It’s.. yeah.. I am, Wanda I.. I don’t know how to say this without this being awkward but Yelena and I are in a bit of a bind.” You explain, she raised an eyebrow to the statement and she leaned forward a bit.

“What kind of.. Bind?” She said, and you reluctantly answered.

“We.. want to have a child.” You explain, “Well.. I doubt you need my help in that, you both are adults—“ she starts but you cut her off.

“No not with.. that part, you see.. when Yelena became a Widow, they took her to the red room and..” you make a scissor cutting motion with your fingers. Wanda gets what you meant.” They took her ovaries..” she muttered, you nodded.

“And I see the look on her face when we walk past baby clothes and moms holding their kids it.. it hurts her, and I want to do this for her.” You explained, you always asked Yelena what she thought about kids, always called them annoying or something along the caliber of that. But the sad longing look in her eyes said more than her words. “I don’t know if it would take both of our blood or some magic ritual but I want her to be able to have a kid, to be a normal person, to feel like her life isn’t just murder and espionage and death..” you ranted on to Wanda who listened intently, seeing the pain and frustration in your voice and eyes.

Wanda’s brow furrowed and, she asked you a question that you for whatever reason never asked yourself. “Have you considered adoption?”

“… Shit.” was the only thing you could mutter, Wanda tilts her head. “Were you going to ask me to make a magic baby for you before even considering adopting?” Wanda asked in disbelief. “Did you?” You casually responded, which shut her up.

“Fair enough.” She said, but if you want this to work you have to tell her, I can heal her body and that should work but it’s not a full proof plan.” Wanda explained, but a chance was more than enough for you, you hugged Wanda, happy. Little did you know Yelena was watching, not interfering but still watching.

Returning to your New York apartment you immediately felt unease. You calmly drew your pistol and called out. “Yelena? I know you’re here…” you aimed your gun and took a step, moved into the kitchen. Yelena was waiting, both of you aiming weapons at each other.

“Hey.” You said.

“Hey yourself.” Yelena huffed and kept her hands firmly on the pistol. “You obviously seem upset about something, so do you want to talk about it?” You asked, unsure how this is going to end.

“Oh now you want to talk, I thought you did your talking in Jersey.” Her rebuttal was cold and full of Malice, and you slowly realized she knew. You lowered your firearm. “That.. it’s not what you think—“

“Do you think I’m an idiot? You’re shaking up with some Slakovian witch under my nose?!” Yelena has her finger on the trigger, this was obviously a misunderstanding and you drop the gun. “Oh, that’s what you think… it’s, a lot more complicated than that.. can I explain? Please?” You asked, and slowly reached for the chair, Yelena watched your slow movements as you sat down, she angrily did as well but still had the gun under the table ready to fire.

“I went to Wanda to ask her for help, with.. Us. I know you want a life more than almost dying every time, maybe a.. family. So I asked Wanda if it would be possible for us to.. have a family. I know I should have asked you before telling you. I was just excited when Wanda wanted to talk. I’m sorry.” You have your best to make Yelena understand, you expected anger and frustration but all that was on her face was sadness. She blinked a few times before she had glossy eyes.

“You.. you mean that?”

“Of course I do.” You replied, Yelena sighed, “I’d be a terrible mother..” she frowned, “I don’t know how to take care of a baby.”

“We can.. learn together, you’d be a great mother, you’re loving but brutally honest too. Especially to me, but I know deep down you’d love and care for them.” You stood up, approaching Yelena’s side as you knelt down and placed your hand on her leg, her beautiful eyes looking at yours.

“YA lyublyu tebya, Yelena” (I love you, Yelena) and I don’t want you to feel like the things you aren’t are obtainable because of someone else, I’ll do whatever I can to live a life with you.”

Yelena’s face held such pain only for a moment, and she pushed them down and smiled. “Okay, you’re forgiven..” she smirked.

“Good. So, will you do it?” You asked. She nodded, “I will.. can we go to an orphanage in Russia?” She asked, which slightly confused you.

“Oh, umm yeah…” you said, which confused Yelena. “You.. did want to adopt, right?” She said unsure. “Well I.. asked Wanda if she could give you back your.. you know.” You awkwardly explained.

“Ovaries.” She said, trying not to laugh.

“I mean.. Yeah.” You couldn’t look her in the eye, Yelena cups your face, tilting it up to meet hers.

“You want to make babies the fun way, hmm?~” She actually giggled. You saw the joy, love in her eyes. You always had charisma and suave, but Yelena made you feel that teenage love you missed out on. You held her wrists and smiled, happy, content, in love…

With all that she’s been though, Yelena Deserves a happy ending.

Although I don't know that much about the idw comics (just started reading them) i really wanted to draw Overlord and his luscious lips. One thing led to another and it became a Blade Runner redraw.

Some headcanons under the read more

-I imagine him as a Tigatron type of character. He's very calm and soft-spoken, and although made to fight, he craves peace. At one point during the war he becomes so repulsed with the carnage and cruelty displayed by both sides that he withdraws from the conflict entirely. This leads to the decepticon's defeat.

-He turns Garrus-9 into a safe haven for both cons and bot deserters alike.

I'm still considering if I should invert the humans' personalities aswell in my sg au, as I don't know how their inverted personalities would be. So, this is going with the idea that the humans don't have inverted personalities.

SG!Heatwave's relationship with Kade is...the same as it is in the original show if we're going with the no inverted personalities for the humans. SG!Heatwave, while mostly calm, does still have the snarky and sarcastic side to him, so he still bickers(which is mostly one sided) with Kade.

SG!Chase's relationship with Charlie is like a tired dad with his rebellious son. SG!Chase breaks the law daily, so he is possibly the worst ever police officer in Griffin Rock. Thankfully, Charlie has been getting through to him, and he doesn't break the law...well, not as much as he used to but it's progress.

SG!Blades and Dani are best friends. Since SG!Blades has the same love of flying as Dani does, they got along well at the start. Dani taught and showed him all kinds of shoes once he showed interest in them, she especially showed him the romantic sitcoms when SG!Bumblebee had shown up - much to SG!Blade's confusion.

SG!Boulder and Graham are as close as they are in the original. They didn't get along well st the start due to SG!Boulder's destructive personality, but overtime they got close. Graham helped SG!Boulder become more gentle and less destructive, while SG!Boulder showed Graham how to stand up for himself

The SG!Rescue bots are still protective of Cody, though they have their own ways of protecting him. SG!Heatwave teaches Cody to stick to the rules. SG!Blades and SG!Boulder teach Cody how to defend himself and how to maim a man. SG!Chase teaches Cody how to crime(much to SG!Heatwave's dismay)

After giving some careful consideration to the thought I the only conceivable way I can picture an sg Optimus/orion tfp being a gladiator was if he was an absolute dogshit one who got beat to shit every time and never won a match everrrr. (Or orion tfp in general but this is specifically about shattered glass, because shattered glass is more open and viable to a wide variety of personalities on account of the freedom inherent in making some nebulous reverse au)

Prior to matrix acquisition he would presumably still be a middle caste archivist; while I could see him finding his way to gladiatorship either out of pure bloodthirst or as a punishment inflicted by the senate for being too nosy (with the full assumption that he’d die) I can NOT see his scrawny ass winning any fights. He would literally be the joke comedy relief character in the gladiatorial circles. He gets fucking crumpled every match but miraculously never dies (characteristic of Optimus). Gladiators would trash talk each other like you’re gonna look like Orion when I’m done with you. His matches are strictly relegated to pre main event entertainment to get the crowd going there is NO betting going on with his forgone conclusion ass.

Considering it’s sg it would be reasonable to assume if we’re sticking with megatronus the gladiator as the backstory that megatronus would be the only guy looking after him and going easy while whaling on him in the arena. I think sg orion would chafe against the pity and goad megatronus to beat the shit out of him but they’d become sort of friends after efforts on the part of megatronus, at which point they’d pick up the whole bonding over being revolutionary firebrands bit. Orion however would probably always predicate his relationship with megatronus off of an imbalanced power structure and pity were this the case then and develop the classic fascination hatred that people love to give his gay ass. When the matrix falls into his hands one way or another and he starts ripping and tearing until it’s done it’s as if the worlds worst sports team unexpectedly started not only winning every single game but also heading a very violent revolution to take over the government and the world at large, and being alarmingly successful.

Not an au I am interested in pursuing and no disrespect towards people who do characterize a hypothetical gladiator Orion pax in such a fashion sg or not but the idea of that guy being able to win any fight whatsoever pre prime days is completely infeasible to me. Even post prime his waist is thinner than mine and its only through some miracle of alien sci fi robot technology that he doesn’t just break in half the moment a blade is within a 10 ft radius of his body. This is the only way I can conceptualise of him as a gladiator whatsoever either he eats dirt every time or he dies instantly and the hypothetical plot ends before it even started

Do you have anymore stuff on your SG!graham? (It's okay if you don't)

Hmmm… not a lot, but some notes.:

-He’s more competitive and actively joins in bickering with his siblings.

-Doesn’t fight as much physically, but likes to start them with snark comments and/or simply watches (for his own amusement).

-Somehow knows which exact buttons to push to brutally strike anyone’s nerve, or win them over. Maybe both within three hours, depends on his mood/calculations.

-Outside of being an engineer, he’s also a black hat hacker who’s very good at both jobs. Got a lot of dirt collected from almost everyone he knows, not even his own family members are safe. Certainly not above selling/dealing various information either for his family’s or his own benefits.

-Related to above point, he possibly runs an illegal small business on the side where he sells self-altered weapons.

-The pens in his pocket are actually stealth weapons, one conceals a blade, the other a type of sleeping dart.

-Possibly the more two-faced member of the Burns.

hiiii! I saw that previous anon post about the rescue bot's battle struggles and was inspired to try and shoot my shot (if i'm coming off as too "intense" then feel free to ignore this im just a little crazy rn) but I'm also currently writing a fic as well which is kinda like my take on an sg universe but with so much sappy redemption because I like that stuff and I wanted to get your opinion/headcanon on this topic because I really like your writing style and lore dumps and takes on the rescue bots characterization. What do you think their obsession/desire would be? Like you said in your previous post of Boulder being a pacifist, I have him down as someone who wants peace and safety for others but in a more twisted way of being overprotective and punishing towards people who are mean or violent and for Heatwave I have him as someone who obsesses over strength and bravery, the display of and actions depicting heroism and the likes. My current issue is that I can't think of anything for Blades and I know in the show he's very skittery and frantic, kinda worrisome and perpetually anxious, so I'm translating that as a sort of savior complex style "the only thing to fear is fear itself", where he's very protective even more so than Boulder but in like a fanatic manner.

okay so me and @fishleeks discussed something like this at length a couple months ago so I'm using our notes for an au I was planning on introducing but never got around to lol. maybe I'll play with it some more after this

my original idea was just a personality swap from like a doc greene machine but a shattered glass type situation works just fine, I don't have any notes for the burns (I found the situations funnier if just the bots were affected) but okay here we go:

The rescue bots are clearly a little family of some sort, or at least obviously a bunch of guys that live together. The biggest thing that draws them together is their loyalty- these guys are devoted to each other and Griffin Rock and the Burns. If we do a straight opposite day dynamic it basically turns them all into backstabbers who don't give a shit and honestly I find that boring! The loyalty aspect is especially interesting when it's a band of assholes who by all accounts should hate each other but work together well and care in a weird twisted fucked up toxic way, now that is INTERESTING!!! Love me some toxic dynamics... just a bunch of guys who are better inflicted on each other than anyone else, I guess!

Now I'll do one at a time with my interpretation:

BOULDER:

Before: very sweet, mild mannered, pacifistic, curious and mellow.

After: neurotic freak who is disgusted by everything that touches them and very loud about it. Has screamed "I HATE THIS PLANET!!!" sixteen times in the last hour.

Why?: I just want to say I'm obsessed with your idea of twisting Boulder's pacifism into an obsession with strength. I would say it fully depends on the way you're doing the swap: because if you're doing a straight swap, Boulder's pacifism and wanting to keep everyone safe turns into a disdain for mechs and people alike (especially people... nasty organics, lol) and not caring who gets hurt- they would turn extremely selfish. However, if we are going with the equally interesting good traits gone bad, I imagine Boulder's going to turn into something that resembles Shockwave a little. Curiosity and pacifism turns into "I have to know, I have to protect, no matter the cost." And of course... hurts everyone in the process. Becoming the very thing you swore to destroy... hurting the very ones you swore to protect... delicious I love it. But also, if you do a mix of both, Boulder is disgusted by the planet and feels the need to protect the Rescue Bots from it and single-handedly becomes the greatest threat to Earth's environment immediately.

HEATWAVE:

Before: Hot-headed, stubborn, fiercely fights for what he believes in and to protect the ones he cares about.

After: Meek doesn't even begin to cover it. If he speaks you can barely hear what he's saying, usually on the edge of tears, folds like a lawn chair under the slightest amount of pressure. Usually hiding behind Chase or Blades, usually Chase (as he isn't as mean- but the bar is in Hell.)

Why?: Okay so addressing your point about Heatwave obsessing over strength and bravery again I think that falls more into good traits gone bad than a shattered glass type swap. Not a bad thing of course- Heatwave is my favorite so I like to humble him (sorry!) but taking his bravado and flipping it inside out leaves him an anxious and insecure mess (he and Blades are such interesting opposites of each other that when swapped they almost turn into the bastardized versions of each other... I'll go over it again in Blades' section but it is an interesting little thing we noticed and I love them). But yes, I think his obsession with needing to protect as well as the image he holds as the strong leader of the team can quickly get out of control, as he could easily turn controlling and possessive. Any word against him could be reason for violence (we all know he's got that impressive temper) and while he's convincing himself he's "protecting" his team he's really their biggest threat. Awful I love it

BLADES:

Before: Sassy, but extremely anxious, likes to have fun and share that with people.

After: Angry all the goddamn time- far too angry to be tactful or clever with his insults. Usually screaming at everyone to shut the fuck up and has zero impulse control

Why?: Yeah so Blades basically turns into the nightmare version of Heatwave. This is not really important but I love thinking about the ways he and Heatwave interact- usually it's Blades stepping behind Heatwave while Heatwave defends him, but in the bizzarro dynamic it's more like Blades begrudgingly letting Heatwave cling to him while at the same time screaming at him and attempting to goad him into a fight (you just know he loves causing problems). Okay but onto the actual analysis! In a good traits gone bad scenario, I think Blades' obsession would be with self protection and staying safe. I think his anxiety and insecurities and penchant for letting someone else start a fight spirals out of control into complete selfishness where he starts avoiding fights and conflict all together, and then mechs, and then you never even see the guy. Most likely, he's going to stop talking- can't avoid conflict if you don't do anything to start it. I imagine he's just going to recess until he's practically a shell of a mech, too terrified to do anything that could get him in trouble that he ends up doing literally nothing but standing there motionless looking at the ground. Or, in the worst possible mixture of the two, Blades is a raging asshole who is too scared to fight so he forces everyone else to do everything for him.

CHASE:

Before: Polite, very conscious of the law, respectful but never hesitates to stand up for what he believes is right.

After: Compulsive liar and kleptomaniac. Is always sporting an insincere grin that's lowkey really creepy and absolutely loves to scheme (he and Blades set mean pranks).

Why?: Okay so we were thinking a bizzarro Chase would have an even deeper understanding of the law, just so he's way better at exploiting loopholes and breaking it. But a good traits gone bad Chase I think would go in a similar way as Heatwave, desperate for control. But it's also established that Chase desperately needs to be useful and his worst nightmare is having nothing to do. In tandem with a Heatwave that prevents him from doing anything, I imagine Chase starts causing problems on purpose just to do something. 100% he starts lashing out- and as for his obsession/desperation, make that need to be useful and dial it up to 1000%. He's doing everything. He's solving problems before they start and actively causing new ones. Oh Blades Boulder complained about your video games being loud so I took the liberty of disposing of them. But in the wrong receptacle so I have an excuse to completely remake the recycling plant as more efficient. Stop crying it's not that deep.

Shattered Glass Heatshadow as Mr and Mrs. Smith pose

I know you requested shattered glass but I couldn’t resist the urge to do both 😭😭😭😭

With that being said I came up with descriptions about them while finishing this up:

- SG! Heatwave seems very friendly and caring, but is actually incredibly violent, unlike the normal Heatwave. He gets along with the ones he cares about very easily and sometime when he’s on the frontlines he focuses more on rescuing people rather than putting out fires, which does annoy Kade but doesn’t want to anger Heatwave to the point where he becomes aggravated and wreaks havoc as it happened once when he got frustrated with Optimus not picking up his calls, thus revealing his true colors. Heatwave pretends to like war movies to fit in with the rest of the rescue bots but prefers to watch the stuff that normal Blades watches.

- and unlike the normal Quickshadow. SG! Quickshadow is very outgoing and is known to be a social butterfly. She dislikes being closed off and competitive and is instead as good as a storyteller as Hightide, if not better. And rather than working in espionage and being an assassin, she works in finance and fancies herself as a part-time jeweler in the biggest jewelry chain on Cybertron, meaning that in this au she’s just as wealthy as the normal Quickshadow is. SG! Quickshadow knows little to no combat skills and instead has the ultimate victim mindset and becomes emotionally distressed when the smallest things occur. (Primus knows what she’s like in a catastrophic event).

I might add more but I’m hungry I’m gonna go raid the kitchen 🎀🎀🎀🎀🎀

Rodimus finds out he's carrying Dratchet's sparkling and freaks out, but it's when they meet their Shattered Glass counterparts. Most of them are war criminals who have agreed to defend Cybertron, think of it as the Transformers version of the Suicide Squad.

Now, SG Rodimus LOVES carrying, despite the ups and downs. He's carried sparklings sired by different mechs, and swipes through photos on his datapad to show them. There's some of Minimus cuddling with turbofox pups, Cyclonus holding a bittie with tears and Tailgate right beside him. Then there's Ratchet and Wheeljack/Slicer (IDW's SG got me shipping them, sorry) with a bitlet, and SG Rodimus explains that they were interested in having one so he offered to help out. (He's also made an offer to Soundwave, but he hasn't taken him up on it... yet.)

SG Drift has just been leaning against him this entire time, lightly nibbling on his shoulders and snuggling into him. SG Rodimus ends up rambling about him, talking about how he killed this crazy cultist named Wing with HIS OWN BLADE after he messed with his processor one too many times. He's very proud of him, and also VERY happy to have him as the sire of his newest bitlet. (I'll rant about this pair another time.)

"ANYWAY, enough about me," SG Rodimus looks at his counterpart with a knowing smirk as he motions to where his tank is. "So who's the lucky mech?"

(He forgot to consider the fact that his counterpart MIGHT not have been as excited about carrying as he was.)

I made an oc! Do I know enough tf lore for this? Not really. I'm still building him. All I know is I needed to make a creature based on tf one and play with it.

He was once part of the elite guard back when the primes still had them, but he wasn't part of a trine. He doesn't use guns either! He's similar to sg star with his main weapon being swords and blades than guns and missiles. He and sentinel never got along normally before the fall of the primes, mainly because sentinel found Sigrun's neutral attitude to many things was very annoying (unless he was with thundercracker-) and would often bother him whenever he could just to laugh at how easily he got pissed off.
