Chicken Shaman

OK, so I'm not really a rewrite myself BUT I've been thinking about what a rewrite of the Chicken Shaman would look like.

I love the idea of him being comedy relief, but I feel like the approach to it would have to be different than a minecraft roleplay would portray him to be taken seriously. Plus a lot of the humor and chemistry comes from him being one of Jess' friends I feel, which wouldn't really work so well for an Avra or Aphia or Aphara- whatever.

I really like the darker approach people are taking to Minecraft Diaries. Considering it was previous a minecraft letsplay for kids. Because when you really think about the lore it is REALLY DARK. So I want to continue that approach.

This of course extends to the chicken Shaman. I want to see a portrayal of him that is funny but in an off-putting way. In that "is it funny haha or funny boohoo" kind of way. Like the guy is CLEARLY unhinged in the original, but make it less in a harmless portrayal, so that the reader feels as unnerved and cautious as the characters should be by him. Make it so no one is truly sure if he will harm them or not.

AND LET THIS GUY BE A SHAMAN!!! I want to see some wild rituals, disturbing practises, and ominous beliefs. Some true viking sh*t! It would also be fun if you threw in some ominous prophecies in there threw him as well! I love prophecy tropes, especially vague ones. I think it would really set the tone for all the underline evils that Aphmau was Blissfully unaware of in S1 but would soon come to face as her world gets bigger and scarier. Or perhaps just little comments that just so happen to come true mysteriously.

I don't know if it's because I am binge watching Vikings & Vikings Valhalla right now, but I really crave this portrayal. I want to see some Floki behavior from Castor (if you know, you know). I want his mannerisms to be impulsive and erratic, and scary for all who don't really know him. But then you do know him, and he's still crazy but he's still your homie, and you love-hate him.

Connor is as far from the Gojo deal as possible. He quite literally don't give a fuck who Lukas is which makes him perfect for you. You meet at the election party, pretty far into his campaign. He doesn't notice that you came in with your brothers crew, only that your glass is empty and it needs refilling. At the party Connor tells you all about his presidential campaign and what he's trying to represent. In turn, you tell him about this silly tech conglomerate company you work for. He just adores when you speak Swedish, telling him the best swears and phrases. From there you two text and call a lot, all behind your families backs. None of them even know you've begun seeing one another seriously until Lukas is signed as CEO and you're standing there, beside him, holding Connors hand. His family is furious, as is your brother, but neither of you care. Connor is funny and sweet and a bit oblivious, but what child of a billionaire isn't?

Kendall meets you after your brother invites them to Norway. You stay hidden, not really part of the deal, but he notices you anyways. Kendall claims it was love at first sight for him. He wanders, hoping to bump into you. When he does he's quick to start the conversation. You being related to Lukas, let alone his baby sibling, doesn't even begin to cross his mind, not until Lukas finds you out in the dark together, under the stars, huddled close. He makes it known he doesn't like what's going on and orders you inside. You do as you're told, not before you slip Kendall a paper with your number on it. He calls you the second he can and your relationship develops from there. After the deal goes through, you know your relationship will never be the same. He's hurt. Deeply. Pretending it didn't happen or ignoring it won't do any good. It definitely puts a strain on your relationship unfortunately.

Shiv is infatuated with you. From the moment she sees you standing by Lukas' side, she knows she has to talk to you. You make it pretty easy, seeking her out as well. You're not sure how it happened, only that it did and there's nothing your brother can do about it. You see one another a lot now that she's helping your brother. You joke that she's only doing this to see you which Lukas doesn't like at all. Especially since he's considering dropping Shiv, he knows it won't end well. In the end you're signed as CEO and Shiv puts on the facade that she couldn't be happier. You feared she would leave you, that your relationship would be ruined, but she's all smiles. Underneath she's furious. She hates Lukas. She can't hate you, she loves you, but she definitely isn't happy about this switch. You tried to tell her, warn her before she got her hopes up. He wanted to keep it in the family. Surely Shiv would know a thing or two about that.

Roman he's so handsome you and Roman are like two weird, off-putting peas in a pod. Based on these ideas which I love, Baby Matsson isn't at all like their brother. They're strange and weird and a teensy bit scary. He knew from the moment he saw you he wanted to be with you. You scared Frank and Karl and that made you deeply interesting. Your relationship isn't like a normal relationship. There's biting and play-fighting and saying things that only make him laugh. Lukas doesn't love that his baby sibling is with Roman of all people, but at least he knows you're his problem now while he figures out the Gojo deal. You're two strange, deeply faulted people who found one another in a stressful time in your lives. When he's not yelling at your brother in Norway he's sneaking off to be with you in the woods where you take away the stress, the nerves, the hurt. You're his rock through the funeral and even after the deal goes through, you sit with him at the bar and make him laugh with all the ways your brother could end up dead.

Bonus! Lukas fucking hates anyone being interested in you, but a Roy? Are you dumb? Are you blind? You could do a hell of a lot better than one of them, no matter how strange or off-putting you might be. He's got important work to do and you're getting in the way of that. Even before he died Logan wasn't too fond of the relationships you made with his child, but at the end of the day he couldn't stop you. He thought feelings got in the way of good business. So does Lukas. The difference between them is he can lock you away where they can't find you, Logan doesn't have that power. You're smarter than that though, telling him only after things are serious. You're an adult, you remind him, you can do whatever you like, including being with them. He can go fuck himself, a phrase that sounds too Roy-like.

Ngl, i want to weep. This mark how much they have went through and how much have happen, how much they grow. Being exiled, join Spring Court, exile again, being treatwd like rag in NC and now welcome in his home again. It really mark his growth and his journey. It would be a lie if I didnt weep. Because it really showed how much this man has bee trhough.

He grew. And damn, this fic is about Eris x Nesta but I cant keep this sadness away even though he was just a minor character here. Bravo to you for bringing this small detail. I am not in college and slowly learning the real world and it hit me how Lucien have no home to return to. Now that he is welcome again, it is not home anymore. I know he is Day Court prince and heir. But it is not the same you know.

Autumn will always be his home. He grew up there, learn his first walk there, learn with his brother there. No matter how horrible, how ugly the moment he held there. There is a soft spot for this home. It was like an unspeakable ache and hope that thing could turn better. But we know it didnt.

I always wonder if one day he move to Day Court, Eliska bringing his old charm, old book and old clothes along. Telling him that it is alright to love the memory he have in Autumn. That it is okay he found comfort in Autumn Court little orment or holiday or blanket.

LOL I was reading your thoughts on ep 2 of GAP and I gotta say I was also confused as to why Sam had Mon saved on her phone like that? Aside from that, the scene where Sam is “trying” to invite Mon out for dinner is hilarious 😂 (& even tho I’m not really into Kirk him acting as a wingman was GOLD) Gosh ep 3 can’t come soon enough!!!!

Right??? Like it feels like the only possible options are that 1. Sam has been obsessing over Mon for the same 12 (?) years that Mon has been idolizing her. I truly look forward to the big episode reveal that she's been reciprocally pining for Mon since they first met, that's so tropey and ridiculous and I will eat it up! OR 2. Mon has done something in the past what, 3 days???, that Sam has known her, that has so moved Sam that she now thinks of her as her idol. Was it when she stood up to her in the meeting and gave her useful feedback? Was it her awesome Diversity Pop content presentations? Was it calling Sam nice and pretty and into dogs when everyone else was shit-talking her? The thing is that any of those options is simply a RIDICULOUS and very unhinged reason to decide someone's your idol. Genuinely more ridiculous than a girl saving your life when you were a kid!!! So it's win/win, there is no option where Sam isn't as unnormal about Mon as Mon is about her. Mon's just handling her own crush with 110% more finesse 😂

Like seriously Sam's dinner invitation made me lose it, I didn't expect her to be thisssss disastrous this fast! It's so endearing and fun omg. And yeah Kirk's wingmanning really won me over 🥲 I love how mercilessly he teases Sam in front of Mon, and how he clearly knows it will make her more approachable to the people she wants to be close to. Day 10 - Mount Fuji and then Tokyo

16th November 2022

Waking up to a beautiful mountain was probably the highlight of the trip (so far) and it was literally... as you opened your eyes.

Ohayo gosaimasu, Fuji-san!

Time to explore. Time to leave our lodging, amazing stay at the Panorama Glamping Mt Fuji Campsite. Loved it! I had my typical Japanese breakfast of "Squeeze Squeeze" and a Kombini Sausage Bun... and we were off to visit the mountain today!

Stunning weather. A tad cold... at the 5th station (2400m above sea level) it was 0°C. There was some old snow, now compacted and icy... but the sun made it feel warmer.

We took photos, looked in the shops, walked around. (It was cold LOL) We had some lunch upstairs at the restaurant and then after we had the most AMAZING MELON PAN (omg seriously, I cant explain how fluffy and crispy and hot and delicious that thing was... its ruined Mike Melon Pan for me forever now...) and then to wait for a bus... that... I guess, never came? Or came early? WHY JAPAN!? This never happens! I was stressing out. Only because we had another bus to catch once we got back to the station at Kawaguchiko, and we had to collect our luggage -- to get our butts to Tokyo!

(Actually, side note; I had the most amazing, dirty salad at the station from stuff we got at the Kombini earlier... it was a Caesar salad, with extra dressing, extra cheese and just... so good and bad at the same time. YUM!)

The bus took us straight to Akihabara Station and our accommodation is literally INSIDE the station. (Yes, I am amazing - I know!) So we dropped bags, went and got ramen. Konbanwa TOKYO!

Woke up to Fujisan, poking her head through our window. So I had some Kombini snacks in bed for breakfast before we adventured out for the day.

Pork Cutlet with Curry and Gyoza at the 5th Station. Then for dessert we had a Fuji shaped Melon Pan which was freshly baked, warm, and the softer bread I’ve ever had. Oh, and a milky tea which I needed so bad.

When we got to Tokyo we went straight to ramen. It wasn’t the best but it was only $8. No complaints!" "

This morning we woke up to this fantastic view. It was incredible. I’ve been to this area 4 times now and I’ve only seen a glimpse of the peak… so to be able to experience THISSSSS… amazing.

We went to the 5th Station which is 2305m above sea level. It was bloody cold and there was SNOW (ice) but I got to touch snow for the first time ever. Hehehehe!

We had some lunch and checked out the shops and even though the buses were annoying, we still made it back in time to get our bus to Tokyo.

When we got to the hotel, we dropped our bags and went straight out for ramen. Tomorrow — Tokyo Chaos 😜"

So season 11 actually had potential with Casifer you know like we could've had Sam unwilling and actually disgusted to be in the same room as Castiel after Lucifer leaves his body and obviously both Dean and Cas would be like "dude what's up you leave everytime cas comes in" and Sam makes up a piss poor excuse BUT DO YOU SEE WHERE I'M GOING WITH THIS??? Like?? I'm talking legit hardcore trauma here! Sam shutting down, falling deep in this dark hole because that's his friend's body but Lucifer wore it. That's his friend's body and Lucifer took that- just like he did with his body, his favourite singer's body and now his friend's. I'm talking bodily autonomy, I'm talking trauma and I'm talking too much I'll shut up now :)

I completely agree with you! I mean, Casifer is shit. But, since it's shit that we can't change, the very least they could do with it is to explore the other characters' reactions. Especially Sam's. 

They barely mentioned the fact that, by saying yes to Lucifer, Castiel betrayed Sam and Dean almost as deeply as when he broke Sam's wall and in a weirdly similar way: by refusing to see Sam as an human, as his friend, and putting him in danger/hurting him/disregarding him for his greater goal. Because, let's be real, Castiel said yes to Lucifer to feel useful.

So yesssssss, I'd LOVE to see Sam's reaction to that. Sam's reaction to someone that he considered a friend, that he considered family, saying yes to Lucifer, the one Sam both hates, knows and is completely terrified of the most. The one Sam sacrificed everything to put back in the cage: his body, his soul, his sanity, his life. The one that spent only-God-knows-how-many-years torturing him in the cage. The one that literally drove Sam crazy (and Castiel knew it, Castiel felt it too. Not like Sam, never like Sam. But, if there was anyone else in the world that knew a little bit about what Sam went through in the cage, it would be Cas and that alone was enough to drive him crazy too). The one that tricked Sam again, that used Sam's faith against him in order to take away his bodily autonomy, as you said, again. 

Instead of the whole AWFUL Nick's storyline of S14 (erasing the ridiculous serial killer thing) (up there with Casifer in the most awful plots of SPN for me), they could have explored it with Cas. We already cared (or we were supposed to care, at least) about Castiel. He was possessed by Lucifer. One of the things he did was hurting Sam. He said yes to Lucifer with "good intentions". This wouldn't be anywhere as superficial nor as messy (and painful) as Nick's storyline!!

And you basically described everything I could ever want (your mind... *chef's kiss* hahaha): Sam being unable to face Castiel, to even be near Castiel. Sam leaving the room when Castiel arrives. Sam trying to conciliate the fact that Cas is his friend, but he was also Lucifer, for a little while. And Sam took so long to realize that! He felt Cas was a little weird, but he was so deep in denial that he didn't realize that he was actually Lucifer (Sam should know, no one knows Lucifer like Sam does) until he was literally soulfisting Sam. Could Lucifer possess Cas again? Would Cas let him in again? What if Lucifer targeted someone else that was close to Sam?? (I mean, he does love to possess people Sam likes...) Sam couldn't take it.

It was the perfect opportunity to explore Sam's traumas and they wasted it.

Also, like you said, I'd also die to see Dean and Cas being confused about it. They don't understand what Casifer meant to Sam. How could they? The only people in the world that really understood it were Sam and Lucifer. How would they realize that Sam was completely traumatized because of it (too)? Would they even get it? How long would it take? What would be needed to make them realize it? How would Dean react to that? How would Cas realize that what he did was the most horrible betrayal in Sam's eyes (and wasn't that funny? Cas broke Sam's wall and Sam forgave him, but Casifer, the one thing Cas did to try to help, was the last straw)? I think Dean would realize it first. But then, how would he react to Cas? So many possibilities!!

Aaaa, don't worry, you're not talking to much (*looking at the length of my answer* 😅) and I loved this ask very much <3 I literally spent ten minutes reading it over and over again and sighing happily, because this was something that I desperately wanted and didn't even realize it!!
