2024 in gifs ♡
as of December 14, 2024
post your favorite and most popular post from each month this year (it’s okay to skip months)
tagged by the absolutely wonderful @six-demon-bag who got into makings gifs this year and is doing a fucking incredible job of documenting all of the obscure horror flicks 😍
January:
most notes (though not a lot at 122): first step of me getting properly into cegan, there'll be a lot of these in here i think (TWD S07E01)
fave: jack quaid being an idiot on instagram stories (affectionate)
February:
most notes (321): "it's more productive to break you, more fun too" aka another cegan set (TWD S07E07)
fave: Rick cutting off his arm in TWD: TOWL with a much needed flashback to him almost doing the same to Carl (on Negan's orders) back in TWD
March:
most notes (957): the first name drop of Carl in TWD: TOWL by Michonne 😭
fave: a super tough call, so either a rework of (colouring-wise) Rick pointing a gun at Michonne's back while saying 'I love you' (this scene knocked the wind right out of me)
or the very first of my comic panel sets (this one with Negan and Carl, quelle surprise)
April:
most notes (678): another comic panel set, Carl being shot in TWD: S06E09 (my second fave set with the comic wound superimposed on Chandler's face)
fave: comic panels of Carl taking off the bandages to show Negan - very much one of my favourite gifs I've ever made is in that set tbh
May:
most notes (765): the appearance of JDM in The Boys trailer that made us all lose our minds for a bit
fave: 'i'd kill you if i was absolutely sure you wouldn't be into it' cegan set (though! the first spotting of me getting into neggie proper was also in May so this was a tough call)
June:
most notes (861): Butcher releasing the bunny from the labs in The Boys S04E05
fave: Maggie Rhee looking hot as fuck in Dead City S01E05, my GOD 🥵
July:
most notes (499): Torres' first appearance in the Cap A teaser trailer (my baby bird uwu etc)
fave: Maggie and Negan at each other's throats with a shot from the Dead City S02 trailer. it's fancy! it's coloured! i love it
August:
most notes (236): more Torres being the sweet baby boy he is in TFATWS S01E01
fave: this other Torres set that I spent WAY too long on and only has 78 notes (happens sometimes)
or honestly, this one of Ash (Danny Ramirez) from No Exit trying to kill his co-star
September:
most notes (156): John Walker in the Thunderbolts* teaser, I didn't have a lot of high note gifsets in September because I was just making Wyatt ones and everyone is sleeping on my boy
fave: be so surprised that it's a comic-style gifset with John Walker
October:
most notes (421): 'o captain my captain' with my original (and forever) blorbo James T Kirk, in his various castings
fave: this one isn't fair cause i made SO MANY GOOD SETS that got overlooked 😭 so here's, like, three of my faves
Maggie x Negan: texts from last night
Maggie x Negan: i'm in her head, living rent-free
Maggie x Negan (are we sensing a theme): and i think we most fully understood each other when once i tried to kill him with a kitchen knife
November:
you just get my two faves from this month:
probably my fave edit of the year, Maggie with a gun pointed on Hornsby
and, Maggie in colour with Beth in black and white
December:
most notes (164): the Brasso hug from Andor S01E12
fave: kill me or take me in edit with Cassian (also from Andor S01E12)
OR!! the set i made last night (which i'll be reblogging again in a moment) with Torres once more, shout-out to finally getting an additional teaser
low-stress tagging: @jdeanmorgan @deputyrook @the-ravening and @5ummit (and anyone else who would like to join!)

B5 S04E05 The Long Night previous episode - table of contents
Susan's feeling so much more relaxed since Sheridan got back that she took the time to curl her hair into perfect ringlets today.
The Shadows struck back against the Vorlon assault by wiping out a planet of inhabitants who supported the Vorlons. And they did it in an unknown and unknowable way that their scanners can't even detect.
Londo is really networking his treason now. And Vir's helping too! Thankfully everyone else seems to be taking Vir more seriously than Londo does.
This seems so endgame! In episode 5! How high are these stakes going to go, anyway.
Bryan Cranston is in this. Walter White is in this?? I haven't even seen Breaking Bad, but it was so culturally pervasive, yanno. Partner informs me that google has informed him that this was before Malcom in the Middle, too. Years before. ALso haven't seen that but tumblr loves Hal so I know about him.
Sheridan sending out Susan to go look for a First One again. With Lorien! Does anyone else know about that First One that G'Kar rescued Sinclair's girlfriend Caroline (?) from when she was surveying in the area?
An extra layer of Susan's traumatic backstory just unlocked. Recalling the time around her mother's suicide, and how her mother sent her next door saying she'd come for Susan later and then died. Susan tells Sheridan she wants him to swear she'll be with the fleet "at the end," and they have their most touching friendship moment to date! But I see that Sheridan didn't actually promise her anything, only said how proud he was of her and how grateful to have her as a friend.
Cartagia remains astonishingly sane and well grounded for someone with as much power as he posesses. As expected. /s
G'Kar's depth perception is gone for good, it seems. The eye was plucked in twisted biblical reference by an alien to another alien who don't know earth culture, lol.
Londo fills G'Kar in on the plan. On Narn, G'Kar will "distract" Cartagia's guard "for a few minutes" while Cartagia is taken care of. But G'Kar isn't supposed to hurt Cartagia because Londo says if a Narn harms the Emperor, Narn will suffer. So the Centauri have to do it and are going to do it.
Sensible, actually. If that's how it ends up playing out! Londo's plans tend to come true in really awful ways, so we'll see if it goes as smoothly as he describes it to G'Kar.
Vir has procured the murder device: a single-use epi-pen-style neurotoxin. Londo has to stab him right between the hearts for it to work, which it should almost-instantaneously, and then it will disguise the wound by releasing a sealant.
How the hell if G'Kar meant to cause a distraction when he's in yoke and chain? Like, dude. Also the death sentence is by vivisection jfc.
G'Kar's plan is pretty metal. As in, he breaks his chains and actually fucking thrashes Cartagia's personal guard. And the plan is going perfectly so far! Till Catagia attacks Londo in his utter saneness.
So Vir takes care of the stabbing.
"Almost instantaneously" apparently means "After he clutches his heart, staggers, and says: "No! I was to a god, you understand?""
"We think it's his hearts," Londo says gormlessly, really counting on the fact that Cartagia has openly talked about Centauri Prime being destroyed and the court is freaked the fuck out about him.
The royal physician couldn't find anything, and it's just as if his hearts gave out. Londo persuades people to support his plan of leaving Narn and the Narnuans alone. Two Emperors in a row have died in dealings with Narn, so they're calling it a sign from the gods and shaking the Narnuan dust off their feet.
And now Londo is Prime Minister and responsible for planetary security! Yay! From there the jump to Emperor is hardly more than a lateral move! :P
The White Star fleet's ships don't have names, they're just numbered. And White Star 14's captain is Bryan Cranston! He's taking his role very seriously. The Shadows' planet killer is sort of trackable with Captain Ericcson of White Star #14. Something burrowed to the planet's core, then detonated a crazy powerful bomb, and the planet is being destroyed horribly. Not everyone there is dead, but they will be within twelve hours. And their immediate planning is to predict where the Shadows will go next, not coordinating rescue for the potentially living people on the attacked planet!
whoops. RIP in advance, y'all.
Vir is drunk. Drinking both sides of an ongoing toast with Cartagia. He's not feeling well about himself and his actions. Because he's got more morals than anyone else we've seen at court.
Poor Vir. He just wanted a job that was OK to work, a wife he was in love with. And would have counted himself lucky if she loved him, too. And he's having trouble reconciling that with the life he has been living with intrigue and genocide and now murder with his own hands.
Londo apologizes for treating Vir poorly at first, as though he hasn't been doing it right up till this very episode, the audacity! But his adivce to Vir is better than any of his advice up to this point has been.
The Narnuan have started celebrating the Centauri's planned departure, with fireworks. Time to go before they get chased off posthaste.
Ah it's the Vorlons going after the next planet, with 6 million inhabitants. The League is being told to stall the Vorlons with hit-and-run attacks while the White Star Fleet gets into position. Sheridan is going get the Shadows to be there, trick them somehow.
Trick them by fighting to the death! With the "secret" of a base that the Shadows are meant to come attack. Which will trick them into being at the place the Vorlons will be attacking.
Bryan Cranston swears it by Valen's name and a Minbari saulte. Delenn looks rather awed, and returns it.
In Jeff Sinclair's name.
By Jeff, they salute each other.
Phew, G'Kar's mostly alright. And the Narn want to counter-attack the Centauri with G'Kar leading the military offensive. G'Kar is offended at the idea of being established as a single leader, when they were previously lead by a large, diverse council of Narnuan. He refuses to be party to striking back.
This offends the Narn dude speaking to him. "What have you endured?" he asks.
Wrong question buddy.
G'Kar gives this the due consideration it deserves and walks away, cackling wildly.
John Sheridan and Delenn listen to the final transmissions of the doomed White Star 14 and Captain Cranston Ericcson going out.
Well that's s eventful! Cartagia dead, G'Kar and Narn freed. A planet destroyed, a base's capture faked by really killing a whole ship ("Are you married?" is a terrible way to inform someone they're being given a suicide mission, btw.), Bryan Cranstron's career launched, and a Susan-Lorien field trip teased.
out of the frying pan and...

Just Some of Ivanova & Sheridan’s Peak Sibling Moments in No Surrender, No Retreat:
THE SUMMONING [S04E03]:
“Hey, I heard that you three went to Z’ha’dum after me. That was foolish and dangerous. And I can’t thank you enough for trying.”
THE LONG NIGHT [S04E05]:
“I have just enough trust left in me to believe you.”
INTO THE FIRE [S04E06]:
“Susan, you made it.” “You think I’d miss a party like this?”
THE ILLUSION OF TRUTH [S04E08]:
“Figured I’d find you here.” “Feels strange to have the place this empty.” “It’s the War Room. The war’s over.” “Yeah, says you.”
“Mm, this is trouble.” “Definitely trouble.”
“So what’s got you so worried?” “I’m not worried.” “Tell that to your face.”
“Commander! Did you threaten to grab ahold of this man by the collar and throw him out an airlock?” “Yes, I did.” “I’m shocked. Shocked and dismayed. I’d remind you that we are short on supplies here. We can’t afford to take perfectly good clothing and throw it out into space. Always take that jacket off first. I’ve told you that before. Sorry, she meant to say, ‘Stripped naked and thrown out an airlock.’ I apologize for any confusion this may have caused.”
“We have an open-door policy.” “And an open-airlock policy.” “Commander.” “Sorry.”
ATONEMENT [S04E09]:
“What the—” “Don’t. Even. Ask.”
RACING MARS [S04E010]:
“There isn’t much chance of me winning this argument, is there?” “None whatsoever. I never give up when I’m right. Your only option is surrender.” “Who taught you to negotiate like that?” “You did.” “Oh.”
LINES OF COMMUNICATION [S04E11]:
“Why do you keep watching that garbage? You know it just upsets you.” “I’m gathering intelligence.” “You’re winding yourself up like a cheap watch.”
“Come on. I’ll show you. I, I think we can make this work.” “Uh, John?” “What?” “Uh, don’t you think I better change first?” “Oh, yeah. Right. Uh, sorry. I, I hadn’t noticed.” “Thanks, I’ll just— wait a minute. What do you mean you didn’t notice? I mean, what am I, chopped flarn? I mean, okay, granted, I don’t have any interest in you, you don’t have any interest in me, but if you’re gonna come barging in here in the middle of the night, the least you could say is ‘Nice outfit, Ivanova,’ and then go on a tear.” “Yeah, uh, ‘Nice outfit, Ivanova.’” “You are such a—”
“You were great at it! You have a face people trust.” “I’d rather have a face people fear.”
“Why do I get the ugly suspicion that you’re volunteering me for this job?” “I accept your offer.”
“If he weren’t my commanding officer, I swear I’d shoot him dead.”
RUMORS, BARGAINS, AND LIES [S04E13]:
The entire episode is Sheridan utilizing his Not-So Idiot Brother Energy to persuade the League tbh
THE EXERCISE OF VITAL POWERS [S04E16]:
“Any more defections and this little war is gonna be really one-sided.” “You sound disappointed.”
#who are queue? what do queue want?#for once it’s not an incorrect quote#babylon 5#b5#john sheridan#susan ivanova#himbo and the bi tale as old as time#and now what will I watch?!#that’s right. even more Babylon 5.#i am a simple creature

Fbi MW S04E05
''Chains'' needed a trigger warning more than ''Run-Hide-Fight''. Both remind me of other shows.
Ray first night in Hana’s revolving house. when does their ''solid friendship'' happen?
Any updates about Crosby/ Zadie?
Who told him the stories? If Not Hana, that leave Barnes. weird.
This animal reminds me Nic’s death (The Resident). Why seeing it at the end again?
Typing ''Need help?'' was smart. But why do dumb thing like confront that woman if you suspected her hence the typing?
Hana, No backup… Trail them/ License plate, Don't be that direct alone.
This man talking is horrible. Their discussion is disgusting, so the woman is okay with jail but not death.
Please No graphic scenes. This’s not criminal minds.
Hot Remy Scott in satin P.j's.
Good. He called Barnes not Kristin.
I want to see Remy and Isabel on screen.
''Someone can. What does everyone else use? '' ''Hana.''
They are a tech mess without Hana. Brains over Muscles.
A second disgusting man? Would you listen to yourself? 12years, A woman?
Remy anger, Is this about his brother?
''what’s wifi? '' This poor girl. At least she still able to dream and be curious.
Casey is a teacher. Is this Hana story?
"If we can't do high tech… let’s do low tech."
Hana trying to assure this little girl that’s not her faut is heartbreaking.
A job vs. A drug habit. 7 years for a lawyer. where’s the law? Mother rights?
''I won’t let another person die on me''
why does this episode feel very long? It’s not the pace, normally this eps go by fast like in a minute but this one took forever.
Hanna hotwire an iPod.
Baby crying, A trap? who does the baby belong to? Olli has no sister. Abducted?
This is like a horror house.
Why didn’t Hana try to fight this one disgusting man on the road?
Hana and Barnes hug, where’s Remy hug?
''My nerves are shot.''
Mine too Remy.
What’s wrong with this paramedic? Dragging an abused child like that?
Hana telling her story to Ollie made her reflect in what happened with her Stalker, How Jess choices changed her view and life and may be she'll think of her future.
Can we see Ollie again in the future?
Solid episode. But dark and hard to watch.

Do we have to?
Prompt number:23
Fandom: Staragte SG-1
Rating: T
Warnings: None
Takes place after Upgrades S04E03 but before Divide and Conquer (S04E05). So it’s shippy S/J…
Unmistakably, unapologetically S/J.
Hearing the knock on the door, she opened it and looked at him silently, surprised that he was here. She supposed she should have expected this from any other man, but she thought he wouldn't want to talk about it.
"Hey." She greeted him.
"Hey." He said in return. "Can I come in? I think we need to talk."
She could feel the blush come up her neck, and she protested out loud with "Do we have to?" He raised an eyebrow at her child-like answer. Sighing, she still stood aside for him to come in. The last thing she needed was nosy neighbours prying into her private life and only to have them confirm to any official looking idiot that came knocking asking questions about her that her commanding officer would visit her house alone.
She shut the door behind him, and he stood unsure of what to say so blurted, "Yah, I really think we should." Nodding, she turned in the hallway and started walking to the kitchen. Sighing deeply, Jack followed her without another word.
Sam reached into the refrigerator and grabbed two beers, handing him one as he looked everywhere but at her. After a murmured thanks and a quick sip, he took a deep breath as if he was about to say something then changed his mind and shook his head, only to do it again.
“This is awkward,” she said, playing with the label of her beer bottle.
“Ya think?” Jack responded, in his typical way which made her smile inside.
For a few minutes, they stood in her kitchen, not saying a word. Jack was by the kitchen door which led from the main hallway while Sam had retreated to stand at the counter next to her refrigerator.
"I'll go first." She volunteered. "Look, sir… umm… Jack--sir. Something has been happening between us for a while and I know, and you know what that is." She said before she took another sip of her beer. "I think you only realised what it was when you were on the other side of that forcefield. But for me, it’s been a little longer-- a lot longer actually so I've had some time to analyze it, and I think -- I've come up with a--a--umm-- working solution."
Jack's eyebrows went up in surprise before he managed to ask. "You have?"
She nodded and continued. "Sir, you are the best commanding officer I've ever served under, and as biased as it currently sounds, given what we're talking about, it’s the truth. And SG-1 is the best frontline team and the SGC is where the action is." She told him. "I don't want to be transferred away from it--"
"Whoa!" He interjected. "Who’s talking about transfers?"
"You know as well as I do, if we were even suspected of …” She waved her hand between them. “That they wouldn't get rid of the male commanding officer, instead they'd get rid of the dispensable female subordinate."
He was about to object that he didn't see her so much as a subordinate, and in no way dispensable, he didn’t want her taking away from him--his team! But he also knew she was right. That despite how he saw her, everyone else on the base (with the exception of his team and General Hammond) only saw her as a female subordinate making her way up the ladder whatever way she could. Any tribunal would only see the appearance of a relationship between a male CO and female subordinate as an impropriety and would lay the hammer the hardest on the junior officer.
Even if by some miracle, she wasn't discharged from service, she would still be busted down a rank or two and he would probably get a slap on the wrist. Even if he had come onto her first, he might be busted a rank but it was doubtful that his command would be taken from him.
"And sir, as much as this--" she said, waving a hand between them, "Let's face it, this is something neither one of us can admit, given our working relationship and our military ranks."
Jack realized he was disappointed in what she was saying but wasn’t sure if it was because of what she said or that they shouldn’t pursue it because of the fraternization rules. But in the end, he knew she was right, perfectly so, but it still hurt to hear it. He nodded slowly as if he understood her but he needed to know something first.
"Can I just establish what this is?" He asked her, stepping closer. "We're talking about--" he said, taking the one step closer to her "—feeling… feelings?"
"Yes." She confirmed, feeling a little lightheaded as the gap between them was narrowing. She felt as though she should check the label on the beer for just how much alcohol content was in it.
"So, you feel feelings for me, and I feel feelings for you?" He asked, one hand coming to her hip. Sam’s knees seemed to weaken as Jack stepped close enough to her that she could smell his cologne. Subconsciously, her body leaned closer as he stood directly in front of her, their bodies almost touching.
"Yes Sir." She said, not looking up from her beer.
His other arm came up and his finger tilted her head, so his brown eyes looked straight into her blue eyes.
"Carter, I don't know if I can dismiss them like that. I don't think my feelings are going anywhere."
"Well, then I feel better," She admitted quietly before their noses met. "Because neither are mine." Her free hand came up to his opposite cheek to help her balance. Then before she could change her mind, he bent his head just as she tilted hers and their lips met. As soon as their lips touched, a hunger rose and their mouths opened and soon their tongues were exploring the other’s mouth.
His beer bottle somehow ended upright on her counter while she struggled to do the same thing and dropped it somewhere. The next thing she realized was that she was sitting on the counter with her legs wrapped around his waist and he was grinding softly against her as she pressed her body closer to his. When he raised finally his head, he stared hungrily at her kiss-swollen lips. His head dropped down and he nuzzled the curve of her neck which has always tantalized him.
His lips whispered in her ear, "When did you know?"
She brought herself to look him in the eyes when she whispered, "Edora."
He felt a surge of not just guilt but affection! She'd known all this time! No wonder she had a speech prepared for the occasion. It hit him again of how she had spent those three months, night and day--his breath caught. “Sam!” she whispered. “Oh God!” The whole three months speed through his mind. She worked to bring home the man she loved! Him.
Wow, now he felt like a first-class jerk. So, he did the only thing he knew how to, he kissed her neck in the delicate spot just behind her ear, she gasped and held him tighter before she found his lips again.
They stayed there for a while kissing heavily, petting lightly. They only broke apart when they both needed air. Sam's heart clenched as she moved back, knowing this had to end, she needed to stop it, before she lost all control.
"Jack." She whispered, closing her eyes as Jack’s lips kissed their way down her neck. She bit into her bottom lip before she whispered "Sir."
He paused, breathing deeply, trying to gain control of his body and emotions. She could feel his face wrinkle in concentration. His arms dropped and held onto her waist for a moment while he looked up into her eyes and bitter chuckle left his lips. ‘Sir.’ He growled silently. He never knew until then how much he was starting to hate that honorific, especially when they came from her lips. She looked at him with her eyes wide. He could see she was in pain too.
"Sam?" He whispered gently.
"I know." She told him, her nose finding his again and she told him, "Me too."
He held her again closely and asked her quietly. "M-maybe when this is all over, or I retire or something."
She felt the tears streaming down her cheeks and he delicately brushed them away with his thumbs. "Yeah, something." She confirmed.
He nodded. "That'd be something." He said, kissing her first on her nose, then forehead then in her hair.
"This is how it's got to be, unless you want me to resign--"
"No!" He said firmly. "No." He whispered. "We have something. That's enough." He told her. "It has to be." He added before they both nodded. He stepped back and she jumped off the counter.
"So, um--" he started.
"It stays here. In the room." She nodded.
“I wonder if the room has any windows that we can open.”
Sam choked back her laugh as she shook her head, trying not to let more tears fall. She didn’t dare speak, afraid of what she would say.
He reached for her one last time and kissed her hard and long before he pulled back and they were both breathless. "Sorry, we hadn't left the room yet." He whispered.
With a shaking hand, she softly smoothed her hand over imaginary wrinkles in his t-shirt, feeling his heartbeat against her hand. "Yah." She nodded.
He closed his eyes, their foreheads touching and their hands gently holding the other in place before he kissed her again, one more time softy, before he let her go. By the time she could opened her eyes, he had retreated out of the kitchen. By the time she started breathing again, she heard the door open and close. Silent tears fell as she brushed her cheeks roughly as she realized that Jack left her.
Taking deep breaths, she tried to regain her composure. She knew now what she was missing out on and that was more than just kissing. It was the feeling of not being alone and being loved.
Damn, she hated herself sometimes.

Timestamp #SJA24: Lost in Time
Sarah Jane Adventures: Lost in Time (2 episodes, s04e05, 2010)
It’s a good core with poor wrapping.
The Bannerman Road Gang is chasing a report of aliens in a local shop. While looking around, the team meets a parrot and finds both a music box and a bloodstained arrow. They also encounter Mr. Smalley, the shop’s proprietor. He tells Sarah Jane that the news article was a ruse to draw her team into a quest for three pieces of chronosteel, metal forged in the time vortex.
You see, the Shopkeeper is a guardian of time, the chronosteel can reshape Earth’s destiny, and the Bannerman Road Gang has no choice. They have until the Shopkeeper’s hourglass runs out to save the world.
Clyde awakens in a grassy field, Sarah Jane in a box, and Rani in a candlelit chamber with Mistress Ellen, all of them in unknown times. Rani is the Tower of London’s royal chambers and has assumed the role of lady-in-waiting for Queen Jane Grey. Clyde finds himself on a beach in 1941 with a boy named George Woods as they watch Nazi spies land a short distance away. Sarah Jane, released from her box in a spooky mansion, meets a ghost hunter named Emily Morris in 1889.
As each traveler makes way through their respective time periods, the Shopkeeper observes them through a crystal ball.
Rani changes into period-specific clothing and makes a good impression on Queen Jane by speaking to her as a person, not as a royal. Rani presents the queen with the music box from the Shopkeeper’s establishment. Rani also hints again at her budding relationship with Clyde. The mood is broken as Mistress Ellen brings word of Lady Mary and her armies arriving in London to claim the crown. Queen Jane is ready to relinquish her crown as an unlawful claimant.
Clyde and George confirm that the spies are Nazis – the uniforms are a dead giveaway and scurry off to warn the Home Guard. The phone in the nearby church is dead, and the boys are forced to hide as the Nazis arrive and start setting up a base of operations. They’re discovered and taken prisoner in short order. The Nazis set up a device with a core they call Thor’s Hammer, which Clyde recognizes as the chronosteel object he needs to secure.
Sarah Jane scans the mansion with her wrist scanner. There’s a lot of energy in the house, and while Emily believes that the house is haunted, Sarah Jane remains skeptical. As the clock strikes eight, the haunting begins with howls, rattles, and voices from events gone by. Well, the events seem to be linked to the past at first, but Sarah Jane determines that the voices are actually from the future. Sarah Jane explains that she’s a time traveler as they approach a room where the voices have converged. The room is warm, which Sarah Jane determines is due to an inferno in the future as the children accidentally set a fire with a candle.
As the first half comes to a close, Rani overhears Lady Matilda plotting to kill Queen Jane, Clyde and George escape the church, and Sarah and Emily decide to save the children trapped in the burning room. The Shopkeeper worries that they are taking too long and if they do not get back soon, they will all be trapped in the past forever. As the hourglass runs out, the Shopkeeper and Captain the parrot believe that all is lost. They are buoyed up by the fact that the time portal has not yet closed. Unfortunately, the planet now runs the risk of being torn apart by the time window.
Rani saves Lady Jane from assassination. Lady Matilda claims that the queen’s death would have inspired thousands as a martyr, but now Lady Jane will be condemned to die forgotten and alone. Rani recognizes the dagger as the chronosteel MacGuffin. Matilda is confined, but the castle is surrounded by Mary’s forces. Lady Jane offers Rani the chance to return home, but Rani decides to stay behind in friendship. Queen Mary assumes the crown and Lady Jane is taken into custody. Rani promises that Lady Jane is never forgotten, then picks up the dagger as she bids the lady farewell. As Rani vanishes, Mistress Ellen believes it to be witchcraft but Lady Jane claims that she is an angel.
Clyde and George escape the Nazis. They encounter Miss Wyckham, George’s schoolteacher, who brings news that the village is under siege. She also has a handgun amongst her parcels. As they storm the church, Clyde and George find out that Miss Wyckham is really a Nazi double agent and that an invasion of the British isles is underway. Clyde stages a diversion by pretending that his mobile phone is a bomb, opening the way for George to grab Thor’s Hammer. They sound the church bells to alert the Home Guard. As the Nazis run, George wants to give chase and fight, but Clyde encourages him to stay behind. Clyde grabs the Hammer and returns to the Shopkeeper.
Sarah Jane consoles Emily, who is experiencing a bout of PTSD since her mother also died in a fire. As they leave the room, Emily laments that they will have to wait until 8 pm the next day, but Sarah Jane dials the grandfather clock back and starts the events all over. This time, however, the events are stronger and include a visual component. They discover that the woman they were following decided to lock the children in their room for the night, but continue upstairs to look for the chronosteel. The door to the children’s bedroom changes shape as the time fields begin to merge, revealing the key as the quest item. The children briefly detect the women as Emily’s fear rises, and Sarah Jane convinces Emily to harness that power to grab the key and unlock the door in the future. The children are saved and Sarah Jane takes the key, but Emily grabs it as well. Sarah Jane vanishes but the key does not follow.
With everyone back in the right time, the Shopkeeper places the first two objects into perfectly sculpted slots in a suitcase. As the room rumbles, a woman enters the shop and hands Sarah Jane the key. The Shopkeeper adds it to the collection, scoops up the Captain (who apparently was in charge the whole time), and vanishes.
The woman explains that she is Angela Price, Emily’s granddaughter, who told Angela to pass on the key. She and Sarah go for a cup of tea and a chat about her family. Later on, Clyde researches George and discovers the man was recently knighted by Queen Elizabeth II, and Rani reads about Lady Jane and finds she was happy in her final moments, assured of immortality.
On the one hand, each quest and story are well played between the writing and acting, focusing on the core strengths of each character. The pacing is good, though Rani’s quest seems to run out of steam well before Clyde’s and Sarah Jane’s. Clyde’s story also has a rather quick twist with the treacherous schoolteacher.
On the other hand, the framing story is lacking. It’s obvious that the Shopkeeper and the Captain know what items to look for, but they refuse to disclose that information or even explain the details of the overall adventure. They literally abduct the team and throw them into a life and death scenario with scant data.
Even the Doctor eventually explains the situation to keep the companions on track.
I initially wondered if the Shopkeeper and the Captain were Time Lords – or maybe even a Time Lord and companion, ala Frobisher – but the rules of the universe at this point are pretty clear: The Doctor is the last of the Time Lords. So, this pair remains a rogue but powerful duo with vague motivations.
Overall, the whole framing story is frustrating but the individual quests more than make up for it.
In trivial matters, this story links up with two classic Seventh Doctor adventures. First, Clyde’s quest included Norse mythology and Nazis, which echoes The Curse of Fenric. Second, the grandfather clock reset to make the “haunting” start again hearkens back to events at Gabriel Chase in Ghost Light.
Rating: 4/5 – “Would you care for a jelly baby?”

SKAM S04E05 Clip 1 - Done Nothing Wrong
MOM: Where have you been all night?
ELIAS: I slept over at Yousef’s place MOM: Yousef? ELIAS: Yeah. MOM: I saw Yousef with Sana outside last night. ELIAS: Mom, I’m twenty years old, I can stay out, oh my God. MOM: Don’t «oh my God» me. Hello? ELIAS: I’m completely honest. MOM: Why didn’t you tell us? Why didn’t you call? ELIAS: My phone died. I haven’t done anything wrong! MOM: Where were you tonight? ELIAS: I don’t understand you. MOM: You don’t need to understand me. Elias, tell me where you’ve been tonight. ELIAS: What do you want now mom? MOM: I want to know where you’ve been. It’s very simple. As long as you live in this house, you follow our rules. ELIAS: Oh my- MOM: That’s that! And you know very well you have a sister who’s seventeen years old. You’re a role model for her. ELIAS: Why are you bringing her into this? She’ll be eighteen in a few months. MOM: Yeah? ELIAS: She can take care of herself now! MOM: Yeah, but listen. I’m not.. I know she’s grown up, but I don’t like her and Yousef spending so much time together. Is there something between them? ELIAS: Don’t ask me! You have to aks her about that. MOM: Sana said to me she just met Yousef by chance outside. ELIAS: Yeah! If she said so, you have to trust her. You have to stop being so skeptical and start trusting your children.

Battlestar Galactica (2004 Remake)
Prequel mini-series is safe.
Occasionally characters have small amounts of blood drip from their mouths due to injury.
There is a character with cancer who occasionally looks unwell, as well as characters experiencing shock/trauma who look unwell. No audio/visual v* scenes result from those instances that I noticed unless otherwise recorded below. I’ve taken note of quite a few scenes that could be mildly triggering, even if there isn’t actually a v* scene, but I’m sure I haven’t caught everything because triggers are different for everyone. If anyone has issues with needles, there are several instances of people self-injecting medication.
S01E03 No v*. Walking through the empty city, Sharon sees some rats (it is implied that there is a dead body off-screen) and covers her mouth, looks unwell, and makes a few gasping-type noises.
S01E08: No v*. Torture scene involving dunking someone in water. They cough/splutter a bit several times when they come up out of the water.
S01E10: (TW: possible trigger word) Sharon v*s in the scene after she climbs up into the hayloft. You see her look unwell for about 20 seconds, then cover her mouth and run, but there is no visual when she actually v*s. Audio includes one short realistic v* sound, and one other quiet sound after that sounds like a dry heave.
S01E12: No v*. Someone says “hold on to your lunch” before the raptor ships jump.
S01E13: No v*. Some coughing in the first scene after a crash landing.
S02E01: A mention: “p*ing your guts out.” Also coughing/gasping sounds from someone struggling to breathe due to injuries.
S02E02: No v*. Someone opens a refrigerator door with old food inside and covers their nose and mouth.
S02E12: No v*. A coughing sound happens unexpectedly after two prisoners are beaten.
S02E13: No v*. A critically ill patient is seen in a hospital bed looking unwell off and on throughout the episode, and she has a seizure.
S02E15: at approx. 22:30 a pilot gets out of his ship and starts climbing down the steps and v*s, full visual and audio, lasts less than 10 seconds. It happens without much warning right after the scene with the close up on Lee listening to the pilot’s coms when it cuts to the scene where the ships have returned to the bay. This episode also has several scenes with drinking: one where a character is very drunk, and one where she spits her drink out, but neither have any v*.
S02E18: No v* - a cylon coughs while being reborn.
S02E20: No v* - After Kara says, “You seen Sam?” it cuts to Sam doubled over coughing. He coughs several times throughout the episode.
S03E01: Just a mention: “makes me wanna p*.”
S03E4: in two different scenes, men cough/g* after having a cloth pulled out of their mouths, but they do not v*.
S03E5: When Dr. Baltar enters the infected cylon base ship, there are multiple cylons lying/sitting inside who have been infected with a disease and appear s*. One cylon sitting on the floor leans over and v*s (without much warning) – full audio (somewhat mild) and visual. It is over quickly but is quite realistic. There are a few other coughing and gasping sounds from other cylons. Dr. Baltar gets in a heated conversation with one of the dying cylons, and I found it stressful because she looked like she could v* but she doesn’t. This whole scene could be anxiety-provoking in general due to so many people looking unwell.
S03E06: A lot of the scenes deal with with either the cylon disease, or torture. Many people look unwell, but I didn’t notice any v* events.
S03E07: more scenes involving mentions of the cylon disease, and you see at least one cylon who is infected, but not as prevalent as in past episodes, and no v*.
S03E08: The Admiral spits blood from his mouth during a boxing match.
S03E09: Sharon is exposed to radiation and looks unwell. Mentions of radiation causing n*. Just before the 20 minute mark, pilots return from taking trips through radiation and look unwell—one of the pilots leans over and v*s multiple times, audio and visual. In the meeting of the pilots that follows, many of them look s* and like the are on the verge of v*.
S03E11: Sharon coughs after being downloaded. Kara makes facial expressions due to pain from her injuries and it looks like she might v*, but she doesn’t.
S03E12: A group of Saggitaron refugees board Galactica, and many of them are s* with a disease. I didn’t notice any v* but there is coughing and fainting. Saul spits out blood after being punched.
S03E22: A bit before the 38 minute mark, several people are hearing music and looking disoriented, and it cuts to Tory who looks confused and unwell. She runs to the toilet and v*s once, and you hear the audio (realistic, short, relatively quiet.) The only visual I noticed was seeing the back of her head over the toilet. When she moves, you can see inside the toilet, but I didn’t notice any obvious visual that I could see inside it.
S04E01: a child has an illness. No v*
S04E02: when someone is shot you can see blood in their mouth as they fall.
S04E03: Callie v*s unexpectedly. She wakes up in the night and takes the baby with her, then finds the chief talking/drinking with someone. As she storms toward him, she suddenly v*s a couple of times. There is audio. The visual is obscured: you can see her mouth as it starts to happen, and see her lean over and collapse to the ground, but the way the shots are framed keeps you from actually seeing the v*. I didn’t anticipate this scene coming. In another scene, the doc tells someone “the n* should go away in about an hour.”
S04E04: Gaius is hit in the face and has blood pour out of his mouth.
S04E05: Leoben spits out blood.
S04E06: A woman in a hospital bed, Emily, coughs and gasps very suddenly and violently while talking to Laura. Several characters appear unwell.
S04E11: Kara lifts the helmet of a long-dead pilot to see who it was, and then covers her mouth and looks like she’s going to v* for a few seconds, but she doesn’t.
S04E14: Gaius says “I feel s*” but nothing happens.
S04E20: (Part 2/3 of finale) Around 8.5 minutes in there’s one v* scene. Right after Kara and Lee put Lee’s drunk brother on the couch, and Kara suggests they do shots, it cuts to a scene where Bill Adama is drunk, and right away he kind of slunks to a sitting position and v*s a couple of times, with quiet-ish audio and full visual. It’s not a long scene, but it’s fairly graphic and realistic-looking, and he continues to have v* on his face/clothes for the rest of the short scene.
