My recent favs Ships.

In these years of pandemic, I have had this type of Ship that comforts me.

I like their aesthetics of Black vs White, where their color palettes usually complement each other and contrast.

I like the dynamics of characters that have known each other for a long time and they usually don't get off to a good start. One of the character is childish in nature taking some pleasure in teasing others and the other character is usually more mature or calm although has triggers that make easy to irritate. But despite their differences or that they fight constantly, they have a certain trust/respect or/and appreciation for each other without having to say that openly.

Hey! Can I request headcanons for sorina, akisako, ryoali, and takumegu on a movie date?

I indicated in my rules I only accept two ships at a time BUT I think I can do two headcanons each !

SoRina

♥ Soma and Erina had a long debate on what to watch because Soma wanted to watch some comedy and Erina wanted to watch something romantic and they went to a conclusion for RomCom!

♥ It's hectic though because Soma laughs at the dumbest of jokes and Erina is NOT amused by the jokes BUT she laughs only because Soma's stupid cute grin is happening so she ends up,,, laughing slightly. It gets more hectic because on the romantic parts, Soma asks if she wants him to do the romantic gestures to her and she also yells "NO" in the movie theater.

AkiSako

♥ Akira and Hisako actually don't know what movie to watch because they're more duty filled so rest??? Wasn't something familiar with them. They probably searched for the best movie together online. Was it the best? No, it wasn't but it was enjoyable!

♥ What happened at the end is they actually talked about the movie and criticized it, but it was amazing that they actually figured how to make the movie better just by one watch.

♥ Alice picks, no question. Ryo literally went "K" and they proceeded to the movie house with Alice too excited for her own good and Ryo nodding his head while she talks. They ended up with a wild movie, with a wild cast, with a chaotic story.

♥ Alice and Ryo actually both enjoyed it and she clung to Ryo a lot and he held her, he was actually more amused by her reaction more than the movie itself. She ended up sleeping somehow through the movie by the last parts so he cuddled her while she did.

TakuMegu

♥ They're actually cute and wholesome EVEN WHEN PICKING A MOVIE. They're so considerate with each other's wants in movies and talk about genres so they would both enjoy it. They hold hands during the time they walk to the movies.

♥ Once they end up in the movies, they're out here, holding hands during it, cuddling to one another, glancing at each other just to see the other smile, I feel like the movie audience will love watching them only because they feel like a perfect romantic movie cast.

The Eggsperiment

When I was in high school, we did this experiment in social studies where every student was obliged to take care of an egg ... I really want to see Totsuki students doing this sort of "eggsperiment". And because shipping seems to be obligatory in this fandom, here a some of my thoughts regarding the most popular hetero ships ... (Excluding Megumi and Takumi ... I just CANNOT ship them) ... Other ships (hetero and non-hetero) may follow later.

Soma x Erina:

Act like parents who should divorce ... if they were married, that is.

Erina is super confused about this experiment: How does parenting work? What are parents supposed to do? Her parents weren't exactly role models for her …

Meanwhile, Soma jokes about how they always seem to bond over eggs.

Erina snaps and immediately files for sole custody. Unfortunately, it's not granted.

Erina will be super scared about everything ... and will always nag at Soma about his laissez-faire approach to parenting.

She has a point because Soma almost used their egg for Tamagoyaki.

Alice x Ryo:

Super rich Instagram mom trope ... and a lethargic father

Alice names "her daughter" Alicia, and paints a face on her shell. The face looks like Chibi Alice.

She will record almost every moment of their egg's life and post everything online ... Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr ... you name it.

Ryo has no say in terms of parenting ... but he is allowed to sew cute little dresses for their daughter.

He's very skilled at it.

Alice is already making plans to marry her daughter to Hisako's and Akira's "baby"

Hisako x Akira:

Act like super busy business parents who have divorced years ago and only interact with each other for the sake of "their child"

They disagree on almost everything. Only exception: "Auntie Alice" isn't allowed anywhere near this egg. Because most likely, it isn't going to survive this encounter – quite literally. And no marriage.

There is a tight schedule: every day, there will be a very formal "eggchange" where they hand over the egg to the other parent in the most business-like way possible.

The egg must be saved from grandma Jun every so often, who has a reputation for killing innocent eggs by accident.

Rindou x Eishi:

Neurotic dad and an adventurous mother - complicated combination

Eishi wants to mollycoddle the egg. Rindou wants to do base jumping with the egg - to make it stronger.

Eishi knits some super adorable egg hats. They go very well with Ryo's dresses.

Their egg is actually a crocodile egg. Rindou hopes that it will hatch one day.

In addition to these ones, I’d highly recommend checking out Classique by Zancrow, which is a newer story that I find really compelling because it gets into the inner lives of the adults (like Soe, Leonora, Azami, and Mana) in addition to the 92nd generation. This story is the sequel to Nouvelle, which is linked in the sorina list, but you don’t necessarily have to read it in order to access Classique. 

Also check out Misunderstanding by Laury Rose, which is pretty much the gold standard when it comes to sorina fics (I didn’t include this one in my original rec list because it’s been well known for years, but since you’re new to the fandom you might not have seen it before). 

If you’re into ryoali, you absolutely cannot miss In Between a Thousand Battles by kageshoujo. It’s a series of oneshots that are absolutely heartwarming. If you’re a ryoali fan in general, check out @j3nnt, who creates some really cute art and comics for the two of them. 

Similarly, if you like eirin at all, you NEED to read Peerless by paws_bells IMMEDIATELY (no, but seriously, do it now)! It is incredibly well-written and easily falls into the top tier of fics I’ve read in my life. Also, look at @blas-i-us, who posts some really lovely commissioned art for these two on their blog!

Alright. Um...this a very vague AU in where Alice is a princess and Ryo is a common thief. I hope you like it! Even though it’s kind of not intimate...

“Hello, Miss.”

Whatever hold sleep had on Alice disappeared as she heard the familiar low voice in her ear. Sitting up in her bed, she glared at the semi-invited guest by her bed.

“Took you long enough, Ryo.” She huffed quietly as she turned on a small light in her room. “And take off your hood. I want to see you.”

“Sorry.” Ryo took off his hood before bowing to her in apology. Behind him she could see that the window that he used to get in was still cracked open. “Your family hired more guards for the event they were holding today, and I had to be extra cautious on my way to see you.”

“But it still should have been easy for you to get past them with your skills.”

“True. And it was, but I can’t afford to become complacent with my line of work.”

“Talking about your work, did you do any of it on your way here?”

“I would never steal anything in the Nakiri household. Even from guests. I would not want to put you or your family in a terrible position, Miss.” Ryo had lifted his head and she could see the sincerity in his crimson eyes even though they were slightly covered by his dark bangs.

“Good answer.” She told him, and Ryo took that as an invitation to climb into her bed. “But it doesn’t mean that your apology is completely accepted.”

Ryo then embraced her.

If it had been any other low class person that had touched her, they would have lost their hand from one of her guards’ swords.

But Ryo was different. Even though his hands had done many sins in the eyes of the empire, she would protect them. And every body part of his. Especially the lips that grazed across her cheek and hovered by her ear.

“Shall I apologize even further, Miss?” He asked, sending shivers down her spine.

“And how will you do that?”

“Well, I can compliment you.” His hands started to slide over and under the simple nightgown she was wearing. “Like how nice you look even with the low light. Or how soft your skin feels under my hands.”

“Flattery will get you some places, Ryo.” She half moaned under his touch. The thief nibbled her ear.

“Don’t worry. I plan to use actions to get to everywhere else.”

Alice sighed contently as he removed their clothing. She would not completely forgive him anytime soon even after this, for he had lied through his teeth. He said that he would never steal anything in her household.

But he was slowly succeeding in stealing her heart.
