“MISTER HERO, YOU ARE A RABBIT???” Ravio’s shout was so loud that Link was sure all of Hyrule had heard him.
“No, Rav, I’m not. It’s just a form like any other.”
“Mister Hero, I don’t think you understand the implications of what you just told me,” the merchant said in a strangely calm voice. “You have the ability to transform into the most beautiful creature that can exist in this world… and I request you to show me.” Even without looking, Link could feel Ravio’s green eyes staring at him.
“First of all, I don’t have to show you anything if I don’t want to. Second, it’s not like I can. Unless you can bring enough darkness to my soul to make me transform, you’ll have to settle for my Hylian form.” Ravio continued to stare at him, but at least he stopped talking. Link put away the blade he had been preparing and decided to clean the old mirror that started this all mess of a conversation.
“When you come back from your missions, you smell really bad,” Ravio blurted out.
Link stopped rubbing the mirror to turn around and face the other man. Ravio looked at him, and after a short silence, continued his rambling: “I don’t like that you don’t let me sell items that you don’t use anyway, and your bees are ugly and disgusting and scary. We could just buy honey instead of having them at home all the time. You have really weird tastes in decoration, you look bad in the morning, your breath smells like old underwear when you drink coffee. Also, if I had to choose between you and Sherrow, I would choose Sherrow instead of you and—”
“What is happening right now?” Link asked, looking at Ravio with a confused gaze.
“Well… I was trying to bring darkness to your soul, but it’s not working. Maybe I should continue a little more?” Ravio replied, staring at Link’s ears as if he expected them to transform at any moment.
“NO! No, no thank you.” Link took a moment to collect himself. “You… why would you think that? You know what? I don’t want to know how you came to that conclusion. I was talking about dark magic, not making me feel bad about myself, Rav.”
Two giant emerald eyes looked at him before Ravio jumped on him and pulled him into an embrace. “Oh sweet Lolia, I am so, so, so sorry, Mister Hero! That was very petty of me. I didn’t mean to make you feel bad, I promise! Will you ever forgive me? If you want, I can sell you the ice rod you want for the small price of 600 rupees to show you how sorry I am.”
Link let Ravio calm himself in his arms, pondering his words. “Why did you say that to me? You know me better than anyone. If you thought making me feel bad was the solution, why talk about my tastes in decoration and not my adventures or something like that?”
“That would have been mean, Mister Hero, it’s not polite to talk about something that someone cannot change.” Ravio said, looking at him as if he were the weird one.
Link just laughed before burying his face in the Lorulian’s hair. He smelled like apples today, which meant he had stolen Link’s shampoo again. Link would take care of that later; for now, he was planning on enjoying a well-deserved nap in his lover arms. Maybe he could ask the rancher to give him his stange crystal for an hour at two so he could show Rav his rabbit form. He wouldn’t be against somme rub on the back of his ears.

-Bargaining’s Limit
Characters: Ler!Link, Lee!Ravio [Fandom: The Legend Of Zelda (ALBW)] Warnings: just a tickle fic!! :] subtle/hints of spoilers for ALBW though?
Summary: Link’s had enough of his painfully inconvenient item deal with Ravio and decides to work an apology and an improvement out of him, in his own silly way.
Notes: i think i kinda lost the attention of my followers from being inactive for so long and i know ALBW is less popular than other zelda games so. i would love some interaction if you enjoy this😭❤️ kept it as in character as i could! :)
-REBLOGS ARE APPRECIATED-
——————
Link entered the sho- his house with a clear goal in mind. Set that dumb deal straight and get Ravio back for his greedy tricks!
The hooded shopkeeper welcomed him with his usual quirkiness as he dusted the counters, then queried him about what he could provide today.
“Ravio, you can provide me with way cheaper rentals, that’s what! My wallet is crying rupees!”
“Oh but my prices are as low as low goes! Surely with your valiant quest and therefore need for my items you can spare a few extra hundred rupees for your pal, buddy!” He replied proudly.
Link sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, resisting the urge to laugh, “You really can’t see how stupid it is?” He raised an eyebrow. That’s it.
Link held his lips from curling into a smile and approached his friend as he imagined the outcome of what he was about to do.
“I only see fairness Mr. Hero! Out of the goodness of your heart and the-hehAH-” The merchant was suddenly interrupted by his own voice.
“Ticklish?” Link smirked and retracted his hand from Ravio’s hip.
Ravio’s heart skipped, a new feeling of giddiness and fluster lighting throughout him.
He scrambled to answer, “What-PPFSH n-no…?” chuckle “Nope.” He crossed his arms and held his sides.
“I think you are!!” The grinning hero approached him as he shuffled back.
Butterflies flutt- no, swarmed in his stomach. The not so subtle excitement for where this was going teased at his nerves. Ravio felt the connection of playfulness sparking between them, a feeling he was very ready to welcome after so long without.
“N-Now this has nothing to do my deals, buddy!” He protested, his voice wavering as he tried to suppress the anticipatory giggles creeping up his throat.
He grasped the merchant’s hips once again, “Well I have to get you back somehow!” he retorted winking, unable to keep that smirk off his face as he began to squeeze and knead into the spot, recalling the way he reacted when he did it the first time.
“WAIT-waihahait hero we can tALk aboUT THIHIS” Ravio stumbled over his words and backed into a counter, spilling out giggles and trying his best not to fold like a lawn chair from the fingers attacking his ticklish hips.
His false voice had already been slipping from the moment Link had first taken him by surprise, but that bit of control he had left was now completely gone, and Ravio was kicking himself. Just some tickles to fully tear down the grouchy guise of his so well-hidden voice? Really?
Link payed no mind however and slipped under his leather band, beginning to squeeze his sides, the other instinctively scrambling to escape the ticklish sensation and tripping over himself, quite literally falling into laughter as Link followed him down to the floor.
The blonde boy easily removed the midriff accessory and went straight back for his sides, squeezing up and down and spidering in circles. Ravio twisted and turned, squealing out a waterfall of giggles and frantically pushing Link’s hands away as his legs tried their best to kick from under him.
“You laugh softer when I go down here…” two squeezes to his lower sides.
“And you laugh harder when I go up here…” three squeezes travelling up them. Ravio belly laughed as the cogs in his mind turned with Link’s. What was he-? oh no.
“So…” He locked onto his target.
“WaHahahit naHAhah—HAH!” he barked out suddenly, before trailing off into awkward and nervous giggles, giving Link as pleading of a stare as he could give through the mask of his hood.
“Bad spot?” Link chuckled, starting up again the moment after he spoke, skittering up and down Ravio’s ribs - leaving his loud and frantic laughter to answer that question for him.
Ravio’s hood jumped about along with him and began to lift, the slightly quietened sound of his laugh becoming clearer, and realisation hitting him in the face as light creeped in.
He scrambled to clutch onto his hood and keep it down, which unfortunately for him, was an obvious mistake and too perfect an opportunity for Link to miss. The blonde quickly shoved his hands under Ravio’s arms and scribbled into his hollows, a grin spread across his face.
The squeal he let out was unbelievable, getting a snort out of Link himself as he curled in and clamped his arms down, refusing to let go of his hood.
Which didn’t help, trapping Link’s wriggling fingers and sending all the more ticklish sparks buzzing along his nerves. He spluttered and amusingly squealed out as many half-hearted protests as he could.
“IHihi- th-this wihihill rahAHAISE YOHOur priHIces si-hihIHAH-SIGNIFICANTLY!-AHAH”
“Threatening me in this situation? Really?” The boy smirked, slowing his tickles a little.
“Well whahat are yohou gonna do? You cahahan’t tickle me to deheath Hero.” Ah. Rookie mistake.
“Oh you wanna test that theory?” He set his hands back on the giggler’s ribs, twitching them a little.
Ravio tensed and felt himself gaining an even wobblier (and wider) smile on his face, squirming, “Wahait-wAItwaitWAIT yohou wouldn’t-” He spluttered, convincing his arms to move down and hold Link’s.
More and more giggles seemed to bubble out of him in anticipation and nervousness. And the light squeezing to his ribs Link was kind enough to provide him with weren’t messing with him any less either.
Anyway, turns out he would go there. He definitely would.
“MR. H-HEHEHEHAHAHAHAA!! LIHIHINK!” The merchant was screeching with laughter, grabbing desperately at his attacker’s hands as they kneaded into each sensitive bone.
Link couldn’t help but smile as he vibrated and wiggled his fingers into the ticklish crevices of his rib cage, digging out every cackle and wheeze he could find. He absolutely deserved this.
“NOHOHAAHAHAT THEHERE!! PLEHE- I’M GONNA DIHIE!!!” Ravio threw himself about like a fish out of water. Wasn’t this guy was supposed to be a rabbit?
Link strategically placed his fingers on every bone he could, paused for a second, and tased as quickly and evilly as he could as his friend arched and gasped and bursted into another round of harsh cackles, falling into a hyper-giggle fit in between every shock.
His laugh was so funny and contagious, it reminded Link of his own. His smile was wide and his heart was so warm with affection he almost forgot the reason he started all of this.
He had missed these kinds of moments. The times where he’d get into trouble with his friends, where they’d laugh together for ages and his biggest worry was waking up late for work, when his responsibility for the kingdom and the princess was still in the past.
This was the happiest he’d felt in a while, for once he felt like there was nothing wrong with the world, like it was just him and Ravio. Just him and this strange, funny, stupidly ticklish ‘merchant’.
Link dazed in the moment before snapping back to reality, meeting before him a wheezing, snorting, curled up Ravio, realising he’d been practically murdering the guy this entire time.
He slowly halted his attack and patted his friend on the shoulder, moving to sit off his legs.
All his thrashing had yet again revealed a glimpse of the underneath of his hood, only a little. Link wouldn’t look any further but just enough to see his smile. To which he felt his own butterflies fluttering in his stomach, it was so playful and happy, so genuine.
Residual giggles filled the air, “O-Oho my gohoddess I thought you wehere gonna kill me!”
Link scoffed, “Don’t be dramatic! You’re not earning any sympathy from me, the amount of times I’ve fallen in battle and you’ve snatched your items back immediately! You greedy guy!!” He scurried his fingers over Ravio’s stomach, earning a squawk and another round of laughter.
“HEhey thahat was the deheal!! And I thihink we knohow who’s fault it is anyway judging by ‘the amount of times I’ve fallen in battle’ buddyYHA- HAHAHAH” He flailed as another attack was launched again by an ‘irritated’ hero.
“OKaY OKAHAY stahahap!” Ravio snorted and shoved Link as he sat up further.
“I didn’t overstep did I?” Link gave him a nudge.
“No, not at all. It was…fun.” Ravio’s tone was warm and lighthearted, one that spread through the room.
“You’ve learnt your lesson?” Link raised an eyebrow, smiling.
“Yes yes I have.” he giggled, head in his hands.
“…I don’t have to lower the prices though right-OKAYOKAYIMSORRY”
No matter what he pulled Link couldn’t seem to shake his affection for the merchant, being somewhat drawn to him and feeling their bond grow despite only short moments of interaction.
And this seemed to be mutual.

The Lipsick Bet
AO3 Link
“Hmm, red or purple today?” Legend opened his medicine cabinet, perusing the assorted lipsticks strewn about the third shelf.
“Dude, you’re going out with Ravio today,” Wild laughed as he grabbed the blue from over Legend’s shoulder.
Legend blinked. “What about it?”
“Are you kidding? You two can’t go five minutes without kissing. It’s like your mouth gravitates to his neck. Use gloss so you don’t get your lipstick everywhere on each other within 30 minutes of leaving the house.” Wild smacked his lips, tilting his head to admire his cupid’s bow.
“We have self restraint!” Legend argued, hot in the face.
“50 rupees says you don’t,” Wild smirked, moving onto applying eyeshadow to match his lipstick.
“Make that 50 rupees for each of us, and you’re on.” Legend picked up the red lipstick, angrily smearing it on thick.
“Fine, but then I get 100 rupees when you lose.” Wild finished his makeup, then pulled out Legend’s plum lipstick. “I’m gonna go give this to Ravio and explain the bet. Expecting to see it on you, so make sure to pick some clothes that go well with the color.” Wild waved the stick tauntingly, then sauntered out of the bathroom with a laugh.
Screw him! Legend wasn’t that shameless. He could go one day without kisses, and he’s sure the promise of rupees would have Ravio jumping on the bet like a rabid dog. Free money for the both of them, and free pride when Wild was proven wrong after acting so smug.
Ok, well, this was an unforeseen complication. The plum lipstick Wild had chosen for Ravio looked absolutely stunning. Legend found himself leaning automatically, aiming to plant a kiss on the corner of those pretty lips.
“Rupees, remember?” Ravio laughed, gently pushing Legend back with the tip of his finger.
“Right, right,” Legend grumbled. He caught Ravio’s eyes lingering on his own lips, but greed won over affection and the merchant staunchly held himself at bay.
“Well, we’re not going to spend this date sitting on the couch, right? Let’s go see if the farmer’s market has any new deals!” Ravio pulled Legend up with him, holding both his hands and almost raising a knuckle to kiss before he caught himself. The merchant blushed sheepishly, then pulled Legend along towards the front door. Legend found himself nearly pulling Ravio in for a quick “Let’s be off” kiss, digging his nails into his partner’s scarf to avoid bringing his hand to his mouth and ruining his lipstick.
This may have been a bit more difficult than he anticipated.
Legend is astounded by how much he thinks of kissing Ravio. It’s getting to the point where he wonders if he really is as affectionate as Wild claimed, or being denied permission is making his brain run in circles around the topic. He can’t help it though, Ravi is too cute! There’s a sparkle in his eye when he’s haggling, hands moving all over the place as he talks through pricing and trades. He has the most adorable tic of twirling his scarf around his finger when he’s thinking, and his tongue sticking out just a tiny bit as he does the mental math on coupons.
Oh, and can’t forget he’s cute as a bunny kit.
“Ledge, look at these earrings! They’re little carrots!” Ravio held up the offending items in front of his ears. The little green toppers were holographic, matching the strange shine his eyes took on. Legend wasn’t sure if that was a Lorule thing, or if Ravio just had very pretty eyes, but he found himself staring often.
Trying not to stare at the beautiful plum mouth just below those eyes, Legend forced his gaze over to the jeweler’s wares. They seemed to be focused more on cute shapes and colors, selling images of Cuccos, Keese, grasshoppers, and-
“I need these.” Legend found his own pair of earrings, tiny hoops with a yarn impression of death mountain made in the middle. There were even speckles of red beads in the fabric to represent the lava at the peak. Legend held the item up to his ears, using the store’s table mirror to see how they fell against his face. Hmm, on the bigger side for earrings, but the material looked lightweight. Then, a hint of purple caught in his peripheral vision, and he saw Ravio in the mirror.
The merchant had both hands over his mouth, green eyes squeezed shut. Did it really take that much self control not to go for it? Legend thought for sure the promise of any amount of rupees would be way more appealing than him. He still wasn’t entirely sure if Ravio wouldn’t sell him for three green rupees and a corn chip.
And now he wants to kiss him again to tease the little miser, which of course he can’t do because-
Why again?
Oh right, Wild. His pride. A dumb bet. How much is 100 rupees, really? That’s fifty each, and if he considers how fast he can recoup that from monster-slaying…
No, he has to do this! To prove he can! Wild acted like a smug little bug, like it was a foregone conclusion Legend couldn’t go a day without kissing Ravio. He had to prove he wasn’t so predictable or helpless! Even if Wild was cheating by making Ravi look extra kissable today, he was still going to play this game and win.
“Here’s your food, sirs.” In hindsight, spaghetti probably wasn’t the best food to order when you were trying not to mess up your makeup, but the plate had been brought out and Legend was hungry. Ravio, as per usual when they went to this restaurant, started shoving breadsticks into the sleeves of his robes.
The first time they had come here, Legend stared in abject horror and confusion at the merchant squirreling away food. Had he planned on just taking the food and leaving? Was this not actually a date? Then Ravio excitedly explained, “They have free refills on appetizers, and take-out is ok! Quick, shove some into your hat so we can get extras to eat at home!” Legend had to wrangle his blue cap away from the greedy little thing. Their food hadn’t even come yet, and he was not getting butter on his favorite hat.
Legend learned quickly that nothing excited the merchant more than saving a rupee, and learned to bear with the embarrassment that came from leaving restaurants with Ravio’s clothes looking like an overzealous chipmunk. It was actually kind of endearing since he would get so excited, and the merchant had the good graces to stop when asked by staff.
“Sheerow is gonna be so happy to have these as snacks. They’re deluxe bird feed, especially when properly ripped up!” Ravio was finagling with one stick, trying to get it to sit evenly in his scarf without falling out when he moved.
Goddesses above, Legend wanted to kiss him.
When their pasta finally came, Ravio was properly padded out with breadsticks, looking happy as a clam. Legend barely paid attention as he wound a noodle around his fork, taking in his beautiful boyfriend as Ravi tried to maneuver without dropping food like a Zirro with its bombs.
Legend slurped his noodle slowly, until it hit a snag and wouldn't go any further. He looked with the pasta plate, then at the noodle hovering above it. One end in his mouth, the other around Ravio's fork. Oh, this was fun. Half the reason they ordered spaghetti to share was to get in these little tug of wars, fighting until they got closer and closer, each claiming more of their noodle until.
Dammit Wild, screw you and your stupid bet! Legend bit through his end of the noodle, letting it fall limply onto the table. Ravio gave him sad puppy eyes, disappointment clear.
"Rupees, remember?" Legend whined miserably.
Ravio's eyes widened. Clearly he had completely forgotten about the bet. His face screwed up in frustration, before he slumped the remainder of his noodle in resignation.
They went through the rest of dinner without talking, stewing over the perfect missed opportunity. Additionally it was growing increasingly hard to remember why they couldn't kiss the longer they looked at each other, so they were awkwardly avoiding making direct eye contact. The waiter raised an eyebrow when he came to hand over the check.
Legend was going to use his 50 rupees to buy Cucco eggs to crack over Wild's head.
When evening fell, the town painted in oranges and yellows as the sun set, Legend was at his absolute limit. His mouth itched, his heart was doing uncomfortable flips of longing, and Ravio was even more gorgeous with black hair haloed by the light of the evening skies.
Thankfully, Sheerow was able to take the spoils of free breadsticks so Ravio wasn’t walking around in a suspiciously lumpy robe. He still smelled a little bit of garlic, but it was manageable. If it were any other day, Legend would surreptitiously hand them both breath mints so they could continue their business without their breath offending the other, but there was no need for that today. It was truly a tragedy.
“Do you want to walk through the castle gardens? I’m sure the flowers would look lovely this time of day,” Ravio offered with a shaky smile. If there was any solace in this, it was Ravio seeming to be in as much pain without kisses as Legend was.
“Sounds fun. Maybe we can hit the night market after we’re done?”
Legend moved to agree, then thought about it. The night market had those beautiful luminous stones, and it was the time when magicians and fortune tellers would come to sell their services. In the past, seeing Ravio with the wisps of nebula magic flowing through his hair from the different magic stalls trying to advertise was breathtaking. If he saw him surrounded by the glow of aquamarine jewels, little fairy barkers sparkling glitter dust over his beautiful hair…
“Maybe not this time?” His poor heart can’t take much more of this.
Ravio grimaced, but nodded in assent. Yeah, they both needed not to test their resolve any more than this. He absently traced a thumb over his lip. The pretty plum color had dried enough that it didn’t come off on the finger. Hm, they probably need to reapply, especially after eating. There were days where Legend would notice and, to be cheeky, would put the lipstick on his lips and apply to Ravio via kissing, but obviously, that wasn’t an option today. Even if mixed red and plum lipstick would be so pretty.
No! The sun is setting, he’s almost done! Then he can go and throw Wild’s stupid accusation of having no self restraint back in the Champion’s dumb face. He hopes the champ’s blue lipstick stained his shirt. This was torture.
The gardens were beautiful, as usual. Zelda’s retinue was excellent at keeping a rainbow of different blooms in peak condition, perfectly trimmed and set along the swooping metal fences. Legend traced the soft petals of a bellflower. It was just the right shade of violet, a little more red than blue in its hue, to match Ravio’s makeup.  Ugh, could he stop thinking about Ravio’s perfect lips for three damn seconds? His brain was proving Wild right!
“Look at the hyacinths, they’re changing!” Ravio pointed excitedly to the bushels of blue, pink, and purple blossoms, shimmering in a gradient. Those flowers changed their color based on the magic in the soil, and thanks to the strong concentration of magic in Hyrule castle, they would change color in hypnotic waves.
Legend caught a twinkle in the corner of his eye, then smiled as he reached towards a bushel of daisies. “Looks like the Minish left us a gift.”
Ravio squealed happily as Legend presented him a red rupee. He didn’t have the Minish back home, so stray rupees could only be found near monsters that were hoarding spoils. He was so delighted to find out Hyrule had rupees for free, and Legend took special delight in finding the spares in grass or pots to present to the merchant.
“Oh I could kiss you right now!” Ravio swooped in, barely remembering to stop himself in time as he found himself nose-to-nose with Legend.
“Rupees, remember?” Legend said, voice pained.
To his surprise, Ravio didn’t back down. “I have Rupees right here. So why can’t I?“ His voice was husky, desire clear in his tone.
“C’mon Ravi, the day is almost over. We’ll go home after this and win.” Legend held his breath, clenching his fists.
“C’mon. Our lipstick is dry anyway. Wild never has to know.” It wasn’t an actual argument, just an excuse. But with the merchant being so close, and the sunset glowing beautifully red against his face, in the privacy of a high-walled flower garden. Well, Legend didn’t have a will of steel.
Wild cackled as he collected his rupees, Legend and Ravio shamefully bowing their heads. No matter how dry your lipstick was, a full blown make out session was going to leave a mark. And considering the plum lip imprints all around Legend’s face and neck, matching the red on Ravio, they had certainly left marks.
Worth it.

DAY 5622
Jalsa, Mumbai               July 9,  2023               Sun 11:33 PM
🪔 .. July 10 .. birthday of Ef Jasbir Singh Cheema .. our greetings and wishes and 🙏🏻🚩 .. from the family of our Ef ..
youtube
Your love is eternal .. your affection of a lasting , ever for me .. astounding .. the tenderness the warmth and more you exude .. I fear each Sunday to present myself , for I wonder each moment where and how it comes .. may I ever be in the guessing and never fail .. for that be my reason and reason for all  ..
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
.. the wonder, the apprehension and the desire to be able to live up to the expectations of them that give so much ..
and there is glory within of the blessings of Ma - Babuji that built me to the podium that brings the vision to all ..
BUT .. BUt ..
BUT .. there is the pain of them that come but with an offering , to survive to live to exist .. and it wills you to be able to give whatever one can, to bring the joy and happiness they so deserve ..
I drove the other day to the Studio of dear  friends, who give me the joy of music ever .. their company and the exhilaration of a freedom was so ebullient and rhapsodic   .. we laughed and sang and screamed and waved at the rain drenched them, that showed a smile , the liberty of a picture through the mobile and just the happiness in their eyes ..
And then at a stop .. she came ..
A little one .. drenched in the rain .. small and expectant .. could barely reach the door handle of the vehicle ..  holding a bunch of ‘gajra’ to sell , to seek her existence, her meal or the share she would have to give away to her elder or to them that provided her with the goods  .. as always they show extreme fear or rejection .. she stood by the door .. raised her tender hands to show her exhibit .. and never said a word .. just stood there .. I lowered my window , an act that security does not permit me to ..  they would have shooed her away .. but I did not take them that day .. I asked her what do you want .. she just looked at me expectantly and showed the bunch again , wet and drained of any fragrance .. but she looked .. I told her I want it , how much .. she picked one knitted stem of the gajra  ..
gajra they are picked these flowers 👇🏿 and then strung together on pieces of string and made into a bunch .. often vehicle car owners and drivers hand it on the rear window mirror .. to bring the fragrant being in the car ..
Tumblr media
.. the little one .. stood there .. she gave a response to what she said, each string would sell for .. that is what generally does happen .. the ones that buy albeit with great reluctance, buy just a string .. I told her I want the entire bunch .. there was surprise on her face .. her thought running , I was joking with her ..  and I asked her the price .. !!!!
AND ..
Today I write this for that ONE moment , that transpired ..
HER EXPRESSION .. !!
No one perhaps had ever said that to her ..
She took a while .. and then .. with a face , that I shall never forget .. she hesitated to say the price , looked so much in apprehension that if she said the price, I would seek negotiation .. or worse reject the thought of buying .. softly and in fear she mumbled ..
500 rupees ..  !
there is a drain of the aqua in my eyes now, as I write  .. that expression .. will he buy it .. will he negotiate .. is my price too much .. should I reduce it ..  !!
I pulled out a bunch of notes .. never saw how much it was .. could have been about 4-5 thousand .. Rs 5000 /- and taking the bunch , thrust the money in her hand .. ..
NO .. I did not see her expression after .. the light had greened and I had to move ..
BUT that expression of .. “ have I quoted too much, will he buy it “, shall remain .. that word 500 she may never have had occasion to tell ..
all of that was in her face .. that face of innocent unexpected joy of an achievement , she may not have received earlier or ever ..
I am not being grand for myself  .. the grandness is and was in her .. the little one ..
it is a small story .. but a large moment ..
largeness does not come from being big .. it comes from the bigness of the small ..

Selling Gold for Cash: How to Spot Scams and Protect Yourself
Tumblr media
Got some gold jewellery gathering dust in your drawer? You're not alone. With gold prices hitting new highs, many Indians are considering trading their treasured but unused pieces for cash. But wait - before you head to the nearest jeweller, you need to know how to spot potential scams. Selling gold for cash has its risks, especially if you're new to the process.
The Gold Market and Selling Gold for Cash in India
Gold holds a special place in Indian culture - it's more than jewellery; it's tradition and financial security. When you decide to sell gold, knowing current market rates becomes your first line of defence. Gold prices fluctuate daily, sometimes hourly. Check trusted financial websites or banking apps for up-to-date rates.
I remember my aunt who decided to sell her wedding bangles last year. She walked into the first shop she saw and nearly accepted an offer 15% below market value. A phone call to my cousin saved her thousands of rupees.
Watch Out for These Tricks
The Weighing Game
"Your gold looks heavy, but my scale shows only 18 grams."
Does this sound familiar? Some dishonest buyers use tampered scales or weigh your gold with other materials still attached. They might even use heavy base plates that reduce the displayed weight.
Ask to see certification for their weighing equipment. Honest gold buyers in Chandigarh, Mohali, or any major city use government-stamped scales and weigh items in plain sight.
Purity Problems
Gold comes in different karats - 24K being the purest. Many Indian families own 22K gold jewellery, which contains about 91.6% pure gold.
Tricky buyers might tell you your 22K gold is actually 18K without proper testing. This instantly cuts your payout by 15-20%.
Good old gold buyers use proper testing methods - acid tests for small businesses or electronic testers for larger establishments. Ask to watch the testing process.
Rush Tactics
"Gold rates are dropping tomorrow!" "This offer is only good for the next hour!"
These pressure statements aim to rush your decision. Gold rates do change, but legitimate buyers don't use scare tactics.
Take your time. Sleep on big decisions. Good buyers respect your need to think.
Protecting Yourself When You Sell Gold Jewelry
Know Your Gold's Worth
Before you start searching "sell gold near me" on Google, calculate what your gold is actually worth:
Check today's gold rate per gram in your city. Weigh your pieces (most mobile phones have weighing apps that give rough estimates). Factor in your gold's karat - 22K gold is valued differently than 18K.
This gives you a starting point for negotiations.
My neighbour recently sold his wife's gold chain. By knowing its approximate value beforehand, he negotiated a fair price 8% higher than the buyer's initial offer.
Verify the Buyer
In India, legitimate gold buyers must have a proper business registration. Look for established shops with fixed locations. Ask for their GST details if you're selling significant amounts.
Check Google reviews or ask neighbours about their experiences. Community knowledge remains powerful in our country.
Bring a Friend or Family Member
Take someone with you when you sell gold. Having another person present makes most scammers think twice and gives you someone to discuss offers with.
My father always says, "Four eyes see better than two." This simple step prevents many common scams.
Get Paperwork
Always get a proper bill that includes the following:
The exact weight of your gold
Purity rating
Per gram rate offered
Total amount paid
Shop's complete details
Keep this safe. It matters if questions arise later.
When to Walk Away
Trust your gut. If something feels wrong or the buyer seems shady, leave. Red flags include:
Drastically low offers compared to other shops
Hiding the testing or weighing process
Pushing you to decide quickly
Refusing to provide proper bills
Your financial safety matters more than quick cash.
Make Smart Choices
Selling gold for cash doesn't have to be risky when you know what to watch for. By checking current rates, understanding how gold is tested, and choosing trusted buyers, you can ensure a fair deal.
For honest evaluation and competitive rates, visit Jewel House Chandigarh. With years in the gold market, they provide transparent testing and fair prices for all your gold items. .

Planning a trip to South Korea? Knowing the local currency is essential for smooth sailing! You’re probably wondering, “What is South Korean currency called?” This is crucial for avoiding confusing currency exchanges, budgeting your trip effectively, and understanding prices in South Korea. Don’t worry; this post will explain everything you need to know about the South Korean Won, ensuring your trip—or any financial dealings with South Korea— is stress-free.
Understanding the South Korean Won
So, what is the South Korean currency called? It’s called the Korean Won, often abbreviated as KRW (ISO 4217 code). You’ll also see it represented as ₩.
History of the Won
The history of the Won is intertwined with South Korea’s tumultuous past. The first Won was introduced in 1945, following the liberation from Japanese rule. However, high inflation through the years necessitated several currency reforms, leading to the modern Won we see today. The significant devaluation in the 1990s prompted major economic changes which lead to where he exchange rate it today in comparission to the 1953 Korean war. One crucial to keep in mind however is exchange rate tends to reflect the economy’s global standing.
The current Won is far less worth for one dollar as in the years after the korean war, for instance. Hence today 11 times as much Korean Wins (KRW) is required to be equalized in comparission to U.S Dollars when matched against one U.S dollar
Symbol and Abbreviation of the Won
The Won uses the symbol ₩ (Unicode U+20A9), which is often easily identifiable. Its international code stands for Republic of Korea Wons or KRW (also, South Korean Won as this country is recognised under this acronym as well and to specify more particularly). This is invaluable when making international transactions, booking flights, or dealing with online retailers who transact overseas.
Won vs Other Currencies: Exchange Rates for Indians
For Indian travelers, understanding the INR to KRW exchange rate is pivotal. The exchange rate fluctuates constantly depending on various global market factors— the best we could do is estimate based up currently valued exchange rate:
As of October 26, 2023, 1 Indian Rupee (INR) is approximately equivalent to 17-18 South Korean Won (KRW). However, this can change daily. Check this through your trusty provider to give to stay the most current on rate for exchange as these exchange rates do change according to what the open market shows which can change within a very very short period also if this was the question you sought
Best Ways to Exchange INR to KRW in India?
Many options abound when exchanging INR to KRW within India itself:
Authorized foreign exchange providers : These include banks, authorized money changers, and other similar entities. With several branches in many regions in India, there’s no shortage of ways to contact this type of business for currency exchanging services.
Online money exchangers. : Here , various online platforms facilitate INR. Such businesses usually allow for better competitive exchange rates and greater transparency; such businesses are preferred by international business communities but consumers prefer this services sometimes as it requires less travel.
Tips for Getting the Best Exchange Rate
Compare rates: Before exchanging, always visit several providers: some providers (more so those online businesses with online services provided) may present their prices to consumers but only upon demand. Hence obtaining that exchange rate would require further interaction
Exchange larger amounts: Generally higher total volume of the amounts exchanged offers better exchange rates to consumer.
Avoid airport exchange: Airport exchanges often offer less ideal exchange rates due to a higher markup on overhead costs and the convenience fees. Look at other provider such as a online based platform business and banks. Consider factoring out airport exchange as an unrealistic option as it incurs costly fees
Inquire if hidden charges if presented with quote: Many unscrupulous places try to present this high quoted prices as “exchange fees are charges as these are not usually inclusive as exchange fees usually already covers the entirety for one complete transactions at full, but any sort of hidden charges to add on top is not a trustworthy place which you’ll receive poor quality foreign exchange from or even exchange scams
Using the Won in South Korea
Paying with Won: Cash vs. Card
Both cash and cards are widely accepted in South Korea. However, smaller establishments generally focus more on cash services whilst also supporting international card use though depending which provider it is with. Cash remains a good idea for emergencies just in cash for times such as unreliable access to ATM services that may present an unlikely situation such as sudden unserviceable situations causing disruption, sudden losses of electronic connectivity causing delay which prevents access to exchange payments
ATMs and Currency Exchange in South Korea
ATMs are quite common throughout South Korea; major bank such as Shinhan and Woori are usually popular providers available to be accessed more commonly to foreigners compared to lesser known one-of-a-kind providers. You can either use the local ATM providers usually that accept international bank operations/cards for transactions. Currency exchange booths are also available at major airports which should be accessed only with urgency due their less ideal exchange, but otherwise this may be recommended in rare and serious scenario and otherwise less likely to be used unless it was necessary.
Common Won Denominations and Their Values
Won denominations come in notes (1000, 5000, 10000, 50000) and coins (1, 5, 10, 50, 100, 500). You should easily make sense of them after spending short time in South Korean, so there shouldn’t be much hassle there.

Typical Costs of Goods and Services in South Korea
Similar aspects found in countries around the world to evaluate a tourist’s spending: budget depending on accommodations chosen also can widely cost due depending more so also what type of cuisine such restaurant visited may vary as these may cost high accordingly while local providers may cost moderately lower price wise.

Some tourists don’t go prepared with insufficient amount for their budget as planning was left out, causing issues due not calculating cost and time together in advanced
This has to deal with your choice of itinerary when planning which affect times you use the public transport; to avoid being caught off with guard unprepared means calculating transport fee also (as public transport cost vary depending the choice made in order get better rate for more cheaper pricing instead.
