finished persona 5 and the only thing i can take from this is how fucking robbed akechi fans were like fym you crafted the most tragic and gut wrenching character only for him to be missing for like 90% of the story and only show up in minor flashbacks or cutscenes and momentarily join ur team only to stab you in the back and proceed to be the most problematic bitch in the game despite not even having a palace

Noise's 10 Best Horror Movie Scenes #2: Battle Royale - Lighthouse Massacre

Second to last day of halloween, so time to talk about a scene that has stayed with my soul since I watched it.

Battle Roayle is an amazing movie, extremely depressing and totally harrowing. It has great performances, great scenes and incredible kills. But the most standout scene is at the lighthouse. The lighthouse is introduced as a place of safety. All the people hiding out at the lighthouse are friendly, they are all nice to each other, they are the most decent people in the whole movie aside for the main characters. Our male lead has been taken to the lighthouse to heal up. But oh no! One of the girls doesn't trust him and tries to poison his food! But the poison plate doesnt go to him. It goes to one of the other girls who eats it. And dies.

What follows has scarred me forever. These people, formerly kind and friendly, turn on each other immediately. It really displays the paranoia the battle royale has put everyone in. They pull out weapons and start killing eachother over the poisoning. The poisonee hides under a chair as the consequences of her actions unfurl, and all the girls kill each other. All these people who really didn't deserve to die are killed by their best friends. Wracked with guilt, the wannabe-assassin runs up the stairs, apologises to the male lead and throws herself off the lighthouse. The shot of her broken body on the rocks really sticks in the mind. Its such a horrid and tragic scene in a brutal movie, and definitely deserves one of the top spots in this list.
