Guys please I love this drawing. I'll give more context to who the oc is too like way too much-

Story: Sal Koopes and Doonie are 19 in the time of their story, so the story is post movie events and takes place in New York of 2025. Meanwhile Sal is actually from 'Neo New York' of 2099 where the tech is advanced and humans and yokai now live amongst one another (though the hidden city remains a safe haven for yokai) thanks to the efforts of a genius man who went by the name of 'Baron Draxum', but in the time of 2099 the kraang have managed to come back and have been attempting to invade. However since thiz is not Neo New York's first time facing them they know how to defend themselves this time quite easily... for now. Sal was chasing down a doctor who had mutated him (he's a Lemon shark with robotic qualities as this man's mutants are a bit unique) and ended up cornering him in his lab. Unfortunately for Sal, he's not a super hero and is easily defeated and thrown through a portal to keep him from disturbing doctor Clonus's plans... and Sal finds himself in New York, before the time of unity and the fancy new tech. New York 2025.

Sal Koopes: Sal (he/him) is an asain american mutant boy, specifically a robotic lemon shark, though most of the robotic qualities aren't visible until a later part of the story, outside of his neat electric powers of course. The 4 distinguishable 'freckles' above his lips in this drawing are actually pores where electric energy can come from, like pikachu lol. He can also manipulate it to come from his hands and more later on. He tends to fight with this power as well as his big shark tail. Outside of mutations however he's an excitable guy who plays bass and loves good exiting experiences. He grew up reading comics about super heroes and always clung to a dream to become a hero of some kind himself, hence his wrecklace first face off with Clonus. When he meets Donnie first he passes out from a fight before he can see her properly. He later wakes up and meets her properly and is instantly absolutely smitten, as is she. However she ignores her own feelings for a while, insisting to herself she's just fascinated by his robotic qualities. Eventually they become queerplatonic partners when they do acknowledge their feelings for one another at last.

Donnie: Donnie (she/her) in this au grew up with Big mama (how original), a harsh parent with strict expectations, leading to her and her siblings developing various issues surrounding such. Hers are ones she ignores, Sal eventually brings them up a little and she begins thinking of them more. And if you haven't noticed by the pronouns, she's trans feminine in this au because I can. She enjoys botany so much she has a whole botanical garden in the hotel just for herself, and when she helps Sal into his own apartment in the same hotel she fills that with plants too, Sal enjoys them as she always stops by to 'care for the plants' even when she's busy. She's closest to Leo out of her family, Leo has his own troubles and ambitions however...
