Bad Monkey Vince Vaughn is Yancy Featurette

The cast and crew of Bad Monkey gush about working with Vince Vaughn.

Andrew Yancy was once a member of the Miami Police Department. Now he works as a health inspector. "But after stumbling upon a case that begins with a human arm fished up by tourists, he realizes that if he can prove murder, he’ll be back in. Bad Monkey is based on the novel by Carl Hiaasen. The cast includes Vince Vaughn, L. My Own Mascot

So from a section of words (which will be shown below) I created 2 mascots. One not so nice and the other pretty nice, like Ronald McDonald and The Hamburgerler. I call them Sweet Peet and Beef Bovine.

Sweet Peet:

The first idea I had was to make them more like a chicken but the whole beak smile I wanted wasn't going the way I wanted to so I took a different approach.

I went with a pink tone as it was similar to red, the colour that makes people hungry (from a study funded by McDonald's). I didn't want red though, it was a strong colour and it wasn't the vibe I was going for.

I like the end result a lot and I am so glad that I went in the direction.

Bovine Beef:

So after brainstorming with Josh a bit I made this cow character. Sweet Peet is a chicken cosplaying as a ghost while Bovine Beef is simply an actual ghost suffering this limbo because he ate a beef burger. Obviously he is a little upset and doesn't like that his suffering is just a costume for Sweet Peet.

I immediately decided on green, I thought about a blue ghost but I much prefer green as a colour. I used a green outline instead of black to really make him look see through, I'm very proud of how I did the spots swell as they are shaped like wiggly skulls that are supposed to mimic the cow pattern. I'm really happy with how it looks.

What I did was I made the spots then made them partially see through with the slider that messes with the opacity. It really gave it that ghostly feel and the burger inside of him actually looks like it is inside of him. I added more colour to the burger and the cow nearer the end and I'm happy with how it turned out. I'll be honest it was probably my favourite one out of the two.
