Fleur

#1 bill - hubby!!! so respectful and sweet and loving, but also so fiery! that hair really gets her going... she had thought his scars were hot even before greyback happened, and he is no less attractive now!

#2 percy - a gentleman, treats her with respect. learnt french to properly communicate with her! he said he'd always wanted to learn another language and when he heard bill was marrying a french girl, it was the perfect opportunity to learn. what a shame that he's gay.

#3 charlie - also respectful. asks interesting questions and always willing to talk. not bad-looking.

#4 fred and george - also respectful. too caught up in themselves to really give her time.

Their bickering and bantering over a course of seven books is WHY they work so well, bickering and bantering in a relationship are CRUICAL, even more, the differences in their smarts make them work even better, while Hermione is book smart, Ron is street smart.

Ron needs responsibility and control in his life, Hermione needs to let loose and needs LESS control in her life, THEY’RE PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER. Even more so, Hermione is career driven and stubborn, while Ron is family driven and laidback, they work so well.

Ron Weasley trudged through the frigid corridors of Hogwarts alone. The echoes of laughter and excited chatter from his fellow prefects faded into a distant hum as they rushed towards the warmth of their dormitories, leaving him behind. He was often the first to escape Professor McGonagall’s office following their weekly prefect meetings. Today, however, he hung back, rooted in place by the weight of what had just occurred.

The end of term was looming, and despite Dolores Umbridge’s best efforts, the atmosphere around the school buzzed with the promise of the impending Christmas holidays. Yet, for Ron, the festive cheer had suddenly lost its allure. Instead, a singular, unnerving certainty now consumed his thoughts—he had somehow, once again, pissed off Hermione Granger.

Ron Weasley had always imagined that life after the second wizarding war would be easier. But the truth was that things were far from simple. The war had taken a toll on everyone, especially those who had fought in it. They had seen and experienced things that had changed them forever. They were now trying to adapt to a world that was no longer in a state of war, which was not an easy thing to do.

He had expected to continue dating Hermione Granger, his girlfriend since their Hogwarts days. But as they started to settle into the real world, they began to realize that their expectations of their relationship were entirely different. Ron wanted to focus on settling down, finding a job, and starting a family, whereas Hermione wanted to continue her education and pursue her career goals. Ron felt that he had already done enough fighting and wanted to focus on the quieter aspects of life, while Hermione felt that there was still work to be done to make the world a better place. Additionally, they also had different personalities and communication styles, which led to misunderstandings and arguments. They had come to an amicable decision to end their relationship.

One day, while out for a walk in the heart of London, you stumbled upon a quaint little cafe that you had never noticed before. You decided to go in and ordered a coffee, settling down at the bar to enjoy your drink.

Meanwhile, Ron was also at the cafe, sitting at the bar and staring off into space. He had been feeling lost and aimless since his breakup with Hermione and had decided to take a walk to clear his head. When he saw you walk in, he couldn't help but notice you. You were beautiful, with a bright smile and sparkling eyes that seemed to light up the room.

As you settled in, you couldn't help but notice Ron, who was sitting just a few seats away. You recognized him immediately from the many articles and pictures in the Daily Prophet. You felt a little starstruck but tried to act casual and not draw too much attention to yourself.

For a while, neither of you said anything. You were both lost in your own thoughts, sipping your drinks and staring off into space. But eventually, Ron worked up the courage to strike up a conversation with you. You started talking about the weather, but soon the conversation moved on to your interests, likes, and dislikes. You talked about everything from books to music, and before you knew it, hours had passed.

It wasn't until later that you revealed to Ron that you were a witch, something he hadn't suspected before. He was pleasantly surprised and felt even more drawn to you now that he knew you shared a similar background.

Despite the undeniable chemistry between you, Ron refused to admit that he had feelings for you. He was still trying to come to terms with his breakup with Hermione and didn't want to rush into anything new. However, the more time he spent with you, the more he realized that he was falling for you.

One day, while sitting at the same café where you had first met, you asked Ron what he was thinking. Ron had been feeling nervous all day, wondering how he would tell you how he felt about you. When you asked him what he was thinking, he knew that it was the perfect opportunity to finally confess his feelings.

He took a deep breath and looked straight into your eyes. "I think I'm falling in love with you," he said, his voice shaking a little. He couldn't believe he had said it, but he also knew that it was the truth.

Your eyes widened, and you looked a little surprised, but also incredibly happy. You put your hand on his, and your touch sent shivers down Ron's spine. "I've been waiting for you to say that," you said, your smile reaching your eyes.

Ron's heart swelled with happiness. He couldn't believe that you felt the same way. You had been spending so much time together, getting to know each other, and it had all led to this moment.

"I know we've only been seeing each other for a short time," Ron continued, "but I can't imagine not having you in my life. You make everything feel so much better, and I can't help but feel like we were meant to meet."

You leaned in and gave him a quick kiss. "I feel the same way," you said. "I don't know what the future holds, but I know that I want to be with you."

Ron felt like he was on top of the world. For the first time in a long time, he felt like everything was falling into place.

From that moment on, Ron and your relationship flourished. You went on adventures, explored new places, and laughed together. Ron had always imagined that life after the second wizarding war would be easier. But he realized that it wasn't about things being easy; it was about finding the right person to got through life with. And in you, Ron had found his forever.

A brief follow up to my last fic 💜

Even though the waiting room chairs at St. Mungo’s are horribly uncomfortable, and Hermione has been stuck in the same position for the past hour while Ron snoozes on her shoulder, and her mouth burns with the bitter taste of some of the worst coffee she has ever had the displeasure of consuming, there is no place else Hermione would rather be.

Home.

Her mind was made up before she even made it back to her hotel after meeting with Ron, and as soon as she got back to Sydney, she had set about making arrangements. After three weeks and a lot of Floo calls, she had a job and a flat ready to go, and she was on another plane to London. For good this time.

Harry bursts into the waiting room then, a smile splitting his face from ear to ear, and Hermione shakes Ron awake. “She’s here,” Harry announces. “Baby and Ginny are both doing great.”

“What are you going to call her?” Hermione asks as she and Ron both rise to hug Harry in congratulations.

“Lily of course, and Ginny picked Luna to be her middle name.”

“Oh, that’s lovely.”

“You couldn’t give one of your kids a name that wasn’t a mouthful?” Ron teases, earning him a sharp elbow to the side from Hermione.

Harry just laughs, and Hermione’s not sure anything could dim his happiness at the moment. “Come back and meet her.”

By the time they’re through visiting with Harry and Ginny and the new baby and are heading for the exits, it’s nearly three in the morning. “Y’know, every one of their kids was born in the middle of the night,” Ron says with a yawn. “They’re bound to be trouble.”

“Is that some superstition about children born during a witching hour?”

“Well, that and they’re Harry and Ginny’s so they’re just bound to be trouble regardless.” Ron laughs as he yawns again. “I guess I’ll take the Floo home, I think I’m too tired to Apparate.”

“My place is closer,” Hermione says, though the offer is far from selfless. The only thing that hasn’t settled itself since she returned home two months ago is where things stand with Ron, and maybe this is her chance to fix that. “You could just…crash with me.”

Although he’s been there for her throughout the whole process and they see each other nearly every day, neither of them has made any sort of move to take things to the next level. On the one hand, she appreciates Ron’s sensitivity, and his willingness to give her time and space while she settles into her new-slash-old life.

On the other, haven’t they waited long enough?

Ron smirks, a sure sign that he’s thinking exactly what she is, that their respective homes are the exact same distance via Floo—nearly instantaneous—even though Hermione’s is technically closer to the hospital. She’s about to laugh it off, tell him to get some sleep and that she’ll see him tomorrow, but then Ron reaches for her hand.

“You should know,” he says softly, “if I come with you, I have no intention of sleeping on the couch.”

Hermione squeezes his hand and leans up to whisper in his ear. “Who said anything about sleeping?”
