Cover Monday: Chemical Worker’s Song

Normally I don’t include the original, but this song is often misattributed as “The Chemical Worker’s Song by Great Big Sea”.  It is true that GBS made it popular under that name, but it is also known as “Process Man” and “The ICI Song”, the original name.  It was written by Ron Angel, and I am going to start with his original rendition before sharing four of my favorite covers. There are others out there as well, look for them!

This is also a good song, it's called "The Chemical Workers Song", "The ICI Song", and "Process Man". It was written by Ron Angel in 1964 to protest the unsafe working conditions and health problems that affected people working in the chemical industry.

Ty ty!! ♡ Ren has been stopped maybe 2 or 3 times out in public due to the striking similarities between him and Haruko, but in actuality, he /doesn't/ look 100% like Haruko! He only took the hairstyle and dressing-style aspects of Haruko and ran with it ^^'

For reference; Haruko's design is much more vibrant and his hair is faaaar more fluffier. Plus you have to take into consideration that Haruko is an anime character in Ren's world (whereas Ren is considered human)

Anyway, I’m picturing Bradley and Jake doing a stint with the Angels sometime after the mission. Mav and Ice are so proud of them and they have been bragging to all the flyboy uncles.

Unfortunately, the stars align that *this* is the weekend that they can all come out and see the show. Jake has no idea why Bradley is whiny and mopey all week as they practice with the Air Force.

The uncles show up, cheer loudly, and Mav takes about a million pictures with the guys in their blue flight suits posing with everyone.

Slider waits until they are settled at a restaurant to start teasing them. “You know, back in our day, we wouldn’t be caught dead flying with the chair force.”
