While Erin tried to digest the unexpectedly positive shock, Peter and Chloe took a trip to the town's Old Museum. “It's amazing what old stuff they have here"/ ‘yeah, and look at this atlas…’/ ‘huh?’ Chloe turned to the object that Peter had been looking at the whole time.

“wow, but… That's not exactly a globe he's carrying on his back"/ ”hnhn. No, that's a rare green diamond. Back then, it was believed that the ultimate gemstones could be found here in the desert. That's why there are so many mines here, but they've been abandoned.” Chloe looked at him with an extremely astonished face. “wow, you really know a lot…"/ ‘hn, I've done a bit of research on the town“..

“It's great that you're interested in so many things. I often read the same book three or four times. “. He had to smile rather broadly. “I've already noticed that you like reading. Maybe you'd like to go to the library?"/ ‘Would that be okay?’/ ”Sure. I just want you to be well.”. / “hn, thank you.” She smiled sheepishly and then nodded in agreement to leave.

The library was not far from the small museum. So you didn't need a car to get there. It was a small, modern building that blended in perfectly with the desert, at least the colors matched. “Wow, really nice here…"/ ‘Well then… you go first.’.

As straightforward and structured as the exterior façade was, the library inside turned out to be a small, colorful reader's paradise. Shelves in all shapes and colors, with a multitude of books that you first had to check to see if they were in the right category. “It's really pretty here, hn”..

A long time out. That was something Chloe really missed during her entire time in the field. There was hardly any time to take such trips. Peter watched her and could see that she was smiling a lot more than usual while she was reading. That made him happy and content.

While Erin wrote a message to her former superior Jack Bunch, Diego also tried to distract himself a little. He didn't tell anyone for the time being, he wanted to leave that to Erin. “Hey, what do you think about a little competition?"/ ”You want to compete against me? You've got no strength in your arms at all,” Roman said a little spitefully. “…Wait a minute.”

Diego didn't really feel like waiting for a command and started to take the competition into his own hands. And Roman was surprised at his speed. “You're crazy! Have you been practising in secret or what?"/ ‘hehe, no… But I have other training methods…’/ ‘phh, I can vividly imagine… That's unfair, we'll have to start all over again’…

Of course, Diego didn't want to fight unfairly. So he dropped to the mat once again to start at the same time as Roman. But after just a few seconds, Roman lost his balance… “hehe, what's wrong, so weak?”/ “Nonsense, I… I just had a cramp in my leg…”/ “ahaha, so which one of us needs more practice here?”/ “Oh, shut up”.

Diego seized the moment anyway and climbed all the way to the top to press the button. “All right, you've won, show-off,” Roman called up to him from below, ‘haha, you just need better stamina, Cardona!’/ ‘I can't get it at the moment, but you're luckier’. Diego knew what he was alluding to.

Roman had had enough and sat down for a moment, breathing a little heavily. “So?” he asked Diego expectantly. He just looked at him briefly with raised eyebrows. “What? “/ “Well, what's she like in bed?”. Diego grinned for a moment, but then shook his head. “Oh man, haha. That's not of your fucking business, really.”.

“A gentleman enjoys and keeps quiet, of course"/ ‘Exactly…’/ ‘And I always thought she was a tough lesbian.’/ ‘Tough maybe, but certainly not a lesbian. She'll want to talk to us again later…’/ ”Why? Does she have any other problems with any of us?"/ ‘Wait and see…’/ ‘aha… And what about the helicopter?’.

Diego looked over at the old black lady for a moment. “Well, I may not be a mega-expert, but in my opinion she can still manage a few flights"/ ‘so the colonel was right…’/ ”Sure she was. Still, I'd really like to fly one of these new awesome things“/”hehe, one day for sure. Man, it's really hot today, I'm going to take a shower”… Well, what do you expect when you work in the middle of the desert? Showering twice a day is the minimum in this environment.

Linda McMahon, a business and wrestling executive and major Republican donor, is likely to lead the Education Department, CNN reported Tuesday evening, citing four people familiar with the matter.

McMahon, a co-chair of President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team who has virtually no experience in education, served as director of the Small Business Administration in Trump’s first term. She left the administration in 2019 and went on to help create the American First Policy Institute, a pro-Trump think tank that’s been closely involved in planning for the second term. The Trump transition team did not respond to a request for comment about the selection.

McMahon is perhaps most known for her time as CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment, which she co-founded with her husband, Vince McMahon. Together, they built the company from a small regional corporation to a multinational public enterprise. She stepped down from the executive role in 2009. In 2010 and 2012, she ran unsuccessfully for U.S. Senate in Connecticut.

Although her experience in education is sparse, McMahon does have some ties. A New Bern, N.C., native, she graduated from East Carolina University in 1969 with a bachelor’s degree in French and certification to teach. She also served a one-year term on the Connecticut State Board of Education after being appointed by Republican governor Jodi Rell in 2009.

She’s a longtime supporter of and board member at Sacred Heart University, a private Roman Catholic institution in Fairfield, Conn. In 2012, Sacred Heart’s student commons was named after McMahon, who gave $5 million to support capital projects at the university, according to The Register Citizen.

Picking McMahon, a wealthy executive with little experience in education, is a move reminiscent of Trump’s first term, when he appointed Betsy DeVos as education secretary. DeVos, a billionaire philanthropist known for her support of school choice, voucher programs and charter schools, was a controversial candidate whose confirmation required then–vice president Mike Pence to cast a tie-breaking vote in her favor.

McMahon will be the second consecutive education secretary with ties to Connecticut—current secretary Miguel Cardona grew up in the state and served as commissioner of the Connecticut State Department of Education from 2019 to 2021.

McMahon’s name was not one of those thrown out as a potential candidate to lead the department, though The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday that she was in the running for education secretary or U.S. ambassador to the United Kingdom, citing people familiar with the matter. McMahon was up for the position of commerce secretary, CNN reported, though that job went to Howard Lutnick, also a co-chair of the transition.

Candidates whom some lobbyists and experts considered likely to be on the short list included Ryan Walters and Cade Brumley, the state superintendents of Oklahoma and Louisiana, respectively; Tiffany Justice, a co-founder of Moms for Liberty; and Christopher Rufo, a board member at New College of Florida and senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research.

If confirmed by the U.S. Senate, McMahon will take over a department that Trump has repeatedly said he wants to get rid of. But doing so will require an act of Congress. Some policy analysts have said Trump and his allies are more likely to leverage the department’s power to reshape the higher education system. Trump himself has pledged to fire accreditors in order to reclaim colleges from the “radical left” and proposed creating a free online university funded by taxes on wealthy private colleges.

McMahon penned an op-ed for The Hill in September supporting the Workforce Pell Act introduced by congressional Republicans in 2023, offering a rare glimpse into her potential education policy agenda.

The bill, which would expand eligibility for federal Pell Grants to students enrolled in short-term credential programs, was blocked by Democrats but faces a much easier path to becoming law in the new Congress. Critics worry that in lieu of increases in overall Pell funding, expanding the program would deplete funds for students pursuing four-year degrees.

In the Hill piece, McMahon argued that Pell funding for credentials like coding boot camps would “create high-paying jobs for more Americans.�� A report published Monday on a federal short-term Pell pilot program found that it did not lead to higher employment or earnings for participating students.

“Half a century ago … colleges were focused on preparing students for professional roles at the highest levels of government, science, business and the arts,” she wrote. “Today, however, many degree programs have lost sight of their mission … Our educational system must offer clear and viable pathways to the American Dream aside from four-year degrees.”

Career Education Colleges and Universities, a national trade association representing for-profit technical institutions, endorsed Trump’s reported pick in a statement Tuesday evening.

“Linda McMahon has extensive experience that positions her well to address many of the key areas that will be education priorities in the new administration,” CECU said in the statement. “We look forward to working with the new secretary and the team assembled around her. Under her leadership, we are confident that the new Department of Education will take a more reasoned and thoughtful approach in addressing many of the overreaching and punitive regulations put forth by the Biden administration, especially those targeting private career schools.”

When They Were Fans: When Wrestlers Were Fans Part 4

Hey everyone ! I am back with Part 4 of my article series about when our favorite wrestlers were just like us , fans. If you have not read Parts 1-3 go check them out !

‘ The Tribal Chief ’ Roman Reigns with Macho Man Randy Savage , Miss Elizabeth, Hulk Hogan and posing with a cut out of Trish Stratus. Roman grew up around the wrestling business with his father, Sika , and uncle , Afa , being in the WWE as The Wild Samoans. He got to meet a few of his childhood heroes if he attend shows. With wrestling being in his Bloodline , Reigns was trained by his father to wrestle.

Noam Dar and Drew McIntyre. Noam said that Drew came to his high school for a charity wrestling match against his one of his teachers. Dar was 13 years old at the time. He also got the chance to meet and thought he was a superhuman. However , when McIntyre returned to Scotland in 2014 , Dar got the chance to travel with him and even face him in the ring. In a match in Insane Championship Wrestling , Drew kicked Noam off of a balcony. Dar describes the future Hall of Famer as one of his favorite opponents and a good friend.

Brian Myers with Triple H , Kurt Angle , and Jerry ‘ The King ’ Lawler . Being a lifelong wrestling fan and getting to meet his heroes , Myers started training in 2004 alongside tag team partner and close friend , Matt Cardona. Both wrestled for WWE until being released. Myers is currently signed to TNA and Cardona is with GCW. Both are hosts of the popular podcast , The Major Wrestling Figure Podcast.

Damian Priest and The Undertaker. Priest said that he was a huge fan of The Deadman growing up as well as the late , Pedro Morales and Razor Ramon ( Scott Hall ) . At Wrestlemania XL after winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Priest was congratulated by his childhood hero in front of his family and Judgement Day teammates.

Zelina Vega and Jeff Hardy. During a WWE show in North Carolina, Zelina decided to do a tribute to her favorite wrestler. She decided to do a Twist As Fate which is Jeff’s signature move into her match against Bayley. After doing this , she sent a message on her X account to Jeff and his brother , Matt, by saying that she had nothing but love for them.

Liv Morgan with John Cena . The WWE Women’s World Championship has stated that she had a huge crush on Cena as a kid. She also says that Cena was one of her biggest influences as a wrestler. She even took part in the photo shoot to celebrate Cena’s 20 year anniversary in WWE alongside Austin Theory , R-Truth , and Carmella.

My Final Thoughts:

I absolutely love hearing the stories of our favorite wrestlers being fans of other wrestlers and getting to work with them. It makes me happy. I especially loved the story Noam Dar told about Drew McIntyre.

Rebellion preview

Moose vs. Nic Nemeth - Moose is defending the TNA men's world title; Nemeth's IWGP global title is not on the line.

Since June, Moose has been closely aligned with Brian Myers, and since December Myers has been teaming with Eddie Edwards. On January 13, the three men (along with Eddie's wife Alisha) formally became a faction called The System, and Moose closed the night by winning the world title. On March 8, Myers and Edwards won the men's tag title, further establishing the stable's dominance. So the System wins a lot of championships and takes things super seriously, which unfortunately makes them come across as a dollar-store version of WWE's Bloodline.

Nemeth is on a hot streak coming off the heels of his WWE release. He's wrestled for New Japan, the WWC in Puerto Rico, TNA, GCW, and several different indies--it feels like he's all over the place. He's clearly following the pattern we saw with guys like Cody Rhodes, Jon Moxley, and Matt Cardona when they exited WWE, and so far it's working. But his WWE run as Dolph Ziggler casts a long shadow. Nemeth can't help but acknowledge that he's spent most of his career falling short, and now it's a real challenge to prove he can do better than that. Unfortunately this boils down to whether Moose will stop him from reaching the happy ending of his "story," which comes across as a dollar-store version of Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns.

If you can overlook the similarities to what WWE has been doing, this should be a good match. Of course, the biggest difference between this feud and Reigns-Rhodes is this ain't Wrestlemania, and Moose is not a 1,300-day champion, and Nemeth hasn't been chasing the title for two years. There's not nearly as much pressure to deliver the perfect ending, so Nemeth could destroy Moose, or Moose could be saved with a clusterfuck finish, or any number of other outcomes. This could either be the start of a "Nemeth era" or the first step in a long chase leading to Bound for Glory in October.

That being said, TNA historically doesn't have much patience when it comes to taking their time putting the top title on a refugee from WWE. These days, I think that makes sense--they might as well strike while the iron is hot, and not wait around and risk Nemeth going down with an injury. This one is tough to call, but I'm going with a title change.

Jordynne Grace vs. Steph De Lander - This is for Grace's TNA women's world championship. De Lander used to appear on NXT as Indi Hartwell's friend Persia Pirotta, but for the past year she's been closely tied to Matt Cardona on the indie scene.

Normally the heat with De Lander and Cardona is how they help each other win matches, and under normal circumstances I'd expect Cardona to be all over this one. But real life intervened at the last minute, and Cardona is currently recovering from surgery to repair a tear in his left pectoralis. That alone makes this interesting, because they probably had all sorts of ideas for this match that will have to be rewritten. If De Lander is sticking around I could see her winning the title, but as it stands I'm not even sure if this is a one-and-done. So I think I have to pick Grace to retain.

Josh Alexander vs. Alex Hammerstone - This is a "last man standing" match. Basically anything goes, and the match can't end until one man is off his feet and unable to stand up to answer the referee's ten-count. Technically you can win a match like this by tying the other guy's ankles together, but the idea is that you're supposed to pummel him into unconsciousness.

This is actually the fourth one-on-one match between these two. Their first encounter was on a 2022 indy show in Battle Creek, Michigan, which went to a no-contest. When they met for the first time in TNA, on January 13, 2024, Josh got the win. Hammerstone evened the score on March 8, and now this is the rubber match. I suppose it might be interesting if they both collapse and go to a draw to extend the feud. But I figure Hammersone will get the last laugh tonight.

Mustafa Ali vs. Jake Something - Ali is the defending TNA X division championship. The X division was originally conceived as a way to promote the little flippy guys in TNA without the stigma of actually calling them junior heavyweights or cruiserweights. Occasionally someone remembers that there's no weight limit and has a big mean guy, like Something, go after the belt. Ali doesn't want to face Something (I mean, would you?), so he's been advocating for the implementation of a weight limit--which has happened before, but obviously didn't stick.

I would have Ali steal a victory with some clever shenanigans, maybe involving interference from his entourage of Secret Service goons. Then again, I'm not even sure he's under contract, or if he's sticking around, so it's fair to assume every Ali match in TNA could be his last. I'm picking Ali to retain, but you just never know.

Eddie Edwards & Brian Myers vs. Mike Bailey & Trent Seven - Edwards and Myers are defending the TNA men's tag team title. I don't expect any earth-shattering developments from this one. The match should be fine, but I doubt Edwards and Myers are going to drop the title anytime soon.

Eric Young vs. Frankie Kazarian - This is billed as a "full metal mayhem" match, which is just TNA's equivalent to a "tables, ladders, and chairs" match in WWE. Normally that would mean some prize would be hung above the ring, and the only way to win would be to climb a ladder and get it. But I don't think anything is at stake in this feud, so they'll probably just have a street fight with a bunch of weapons strewn around the ringisde area.

Kazarian turned on Young on January 13. I guess this led Young to revisit his Violent By Design persona from a few years ago, so he can really kick some ass. Listen, it was cool when Mick Foley did the whole "Mankind turns into Cactus Jack for extra power" shtick, but that was 27 years ago! And TNA in particular is full of wrestlers who do that bit all the time, resurrecting gimmicks nobody even remembers! Anyway, I don't really care who wins.

Joe Hendry vs. Rich Swann - Hendry has been feuding with AJ Francis (formerly Top Dolla in WWE), and I guess Swann turned heel to align with Francis for some reason. I don't know if they're saving Hendry vs. Francis for later, or if they just don't have enough confidence in Francis to actually book that match. Seems like Hendry needs somebody to help him in this feud, so my guess is that he'll win, but then get double-teamed, and then some babyface will run in for the save to set up a tag match.

Dani Luna & Jody Threat vs. Jessicka Havok & Rosemary - This is scheduled for the pre-show, and I think you can only watch the pre-show on TNA+. Spitfire (Luna and Threat) are defending the TNA women's tag title. The women's tag division in TNA usually amounts to two teams fighting endlessly until one breaks up or goes away, and then another team forms to repeat the process. So even if Spitfire loses the belts here, they'll probably get plenty of rematches. Personally I'd prefer to see Spitfire retain and build them up to face other teams, but I don't see why they'd start doing that now.

Crazzy Steve vs. Laredo Kid - Steve is defending the TNA digital media title, which I think is supposed to only be defended on the pre-show. I can't believe this belt is still a thing. I guess Steve retains.

Ace Austin & Chris Bey & Leon Slater vs. Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz & Myron Reed - Another pre-show match. Last I checked, ABC (Austin and Bey) are still in Bullet Club; I keep expecting them to quit or get kicked out, but New Japan seems to have forgotten they're over here. I think Reed used to be one of the Rascalz alongside Trey and Wentz, but I'm too lazy to look it up. I have no idea what Slater has to do with anything. This looks like an excuse to have six flippy guys do cool moves, with no particular plan or purpose. Which is a shame, because I think Austin and Bey can do better. I guess I'll pick their team to win.

Sunset Died - Erin's Crew

Last Desert Day (Part 2) With an important note at the end.

While Diego and Roman are on their way back to the base, Chloe has retreated to the bedroom after her errands. After she hadn't come out for a while, Peter went to check on her. “Hey, do you still have a bit of room in your shell?“/”hnhn, did you think I was going to hide away again?”.

Peter walked towards her with slow, ambling steps. “Well, whenever there's a big job coming up, you're hardly ever seen. Are you excited?"/ ‘No, hn…’/ ‘Or are you maybe scared?’/ ‘hh, no, it's all ok, I'm just… Thoughtful, that's all’/ ‘ok, and why, because of the mission?’/ ”No… Because of the time afterwards. I… I don't really want to go home…"/ ”Don't?!”.

“So, do you want to carry on here?”. She shook her head frantically. “N-no…"/ ‘then what?’. Chloe trembled a little with excitement. She had been thinking about this for a long time… “Is there any chance that… I could come with you for a while… to Korea?”/ “What?”/ “I called my aunt earlier and had a long talk with her. You know… After her, you've become the most important person to me, and, well… When I don't have you around, I feel kind of…"/ ‘Lonely?’ he asked her in a calm voice, looking her in the eye.

She shrugged her shoulders briefly. “Lonely and… lost. I know that when I get back home, I'd totally let myself go, I don't really have any friends there. I'd get bored at some point and then… I'd start eating too much again… I don't want that… I want…” Peter smiled again and then slowly and carefully took her hands in his. “To be with me?”.

Chloe wasn't expecting this gesture, but remained calm and withdrew from his gaze again for a moment. “But only if… you want me around you. I'd learn Korean if need be, if you don't necessarily want to be my interpreter, and…"/ ‘Chloe…’/ ‘I learn foreign languages quickly if I put my mind to it…’. He had to laugh because she couldn't stop talking. “hnhn, oh man, you're… really cute”.

Then she did look him in the eye, albeit fleetingly, “cute… O.k….”/ “Hn, Chloe… I think once I got home and unpacked my stuff… I'd probably miss your face and your laugh. I'd be bored as hell too and I'd miss it if you didn't wake me up from one of my countless nightmares at least once in a while”.

Without another word, he took her lovingly in his arms. “Peter…"/ He stroked her back as he looked out of the window and enjoyed her warmth… ”You really want to come with me? “ he asked her softly. “Mhm, yes… And I want to get to know your mom, your house, your great food…I'll probably miss my cat, but…"/ ‘We have one too, did I mention that?’/ ‘n-no…’/ ‘hn, you'll get to know her’.

After the hug . … “You really have a cat? What's her name?"/ ‘Deiji’. Chloe looked at him with amusement and then tried to repeat the name slowly. “Dei-dschi?"/ ”hnhn, yes, exactly…. Or if it's too difficult, just say daisy to her, that would be the correct translation…"/ ”hnhn, like the flower? I'll do that. Thank you, Peter…I'm looking forward to a good time…"/ ‘hn, yes, me too’.

While the others are still resting a little before they set off, Erin writes her last reports and prepares everything for the next officer, who will be staying at the base for the next few days. A replacement has already been arranged. “I think that's it. Yes, everything is ready. And if all goes well, we'll be there on Sunday”.

Later. Roman and Diego took care of the luggage that Erin really wanted to take with her. “That's all?"/ ”Well, if it were up to her, she would have taken more. But that's really the limit, unfortunately. And the parcels aren't light"/ ‘OK, oh boy, I hope it goes well’….

By early afternoon, all the important things that needed to be done before the flight had been taken care of. Now it was just a matter of waiting. Why? Well, due to the heat during the day, the helicopter absorbs a lot of heat, if only because of its color. So they waited until the evening, or even better until the night, until the entire machine had cooled down again. That way the engine runs better and the lady is not so sluggish.

It's just before 11 p.m. when the team makes its way to the helicopter together. “So, are you ready for the trip?"/ ”Sure. I'm excited to see what awaits us"/ ‘We'll make our first stopover in five hours’/ ‘But don't fall asleep at the wheel, Diego’/ ”Don't worry, I've got a few more energy drinks and with music in my headphones, it'll be a good flight. So… All aboard please”..

Once the entire team had taken their seats in the helicopter and the doors were closed, Diego slowly started up the old lady. Normally, this was done a few minutes before the passengers boarded. But today they didn't want to leave anything to chance. All the systems were working perfectly. And so they set off on the long journey - from summer to winter.

NOTE: Well, we know how it continued. We already saw the arrival of the team. Now I have to get on with producing new images. And it's proving quite difficult at the moment because of various game crashes. I still have a few older saves that I have to try out. Yesterday my game wouldn't save correctly (after 15 minutes of saving I ended it with the task manager). In any case, I hope that I can still come to a good conclusion here and that we can soon accompany the residents to their new home. So it will be a while before a new episode comes out. I hope your impatience doesn't bother you too much until then ^^. And as I already wrote, if all else fails, I'll have to invent a different ending. cu

The Major Players vs The Bloodline

To accurately gauge where this actually started, we’d probably have to go back to the Vegas show all the way back in June, where Roman Reigns and Matt Cardona went one on one with one another for the first time ever, Roman pulling out the victory there. From there, the loss seemed to eat away at Cardona for months, even after eliminating Roman from the Clusterfuck. It seemed Roman was going to let that slide, until a recent string of attacks, both verbal and physical by Cardona, against Roman and the rest of his family. Now? Now, Cardona, and by extension of the Major Players, could be forced to pay a serious price… 

The Major Players looked as if they were having a tough time deciding who would start this match, until, at the insistence of Matt Cardona, he told Philly Collins to get in the ring and start. Marino looked as if he actually wanted to argue that, but Philly got into the ring, agreeing to start against Jey Uso.

The referee calls for the bell, and Philly turns around, only to get dropped by a HUGE Superkick from Uso immediately! Philly Collins just got his head kicked into the second row! Jey Uso quickly picks up Philly, and forces him against the ropes, before laying into the Easy Lover with chop after stiff chop, quickly turning Philly Collins’ chest a shade of bright red! Marino tries to get into the ring to help his tag partner, but Jey Uso’s attention is quickly pulled away to him, as Jey Uso starts lighting up Marino Tenaglia with a couple of right hands! The Anoa’i Family have always been known as some of the hardest strikers in pro wrestling, something PME are learning first hand, very quickly here! 

While Jey has his back turned, Matt Cardona manages to make a tag to Philly Collins and get himself into the ring, measuring Jey Uso from behind, before trying to surprise Jey, but all he does for himself is run right into a Superkick! Matt nearly gets his teeth kicked down his throat, as he drops to the mat, and Jey Uso makes the tag to Roman, who had his hand outstretched, asking for it. Cardona is doing his best to shake off the cobwebs from that kick, and he doesn’t realize that Roman is taking his time, getting into the ring, taking a slow walk around Matt Cardona’s body as he does. Roman eventually stands before Matt, and puts his hands on his knees, looking down at Cardona, wordlessly, but with so much behind those intense eyes. Roman watches as Cardona starts to rise back to his feet, before Roman grabs Matt by the hair, dragging him the rest of the way up, and then dropping Matt right back down with a stiff uppercut, right to the jaw! That one felt personal, and it probably was! Roman drags Matt back to his feet, before kneeing Cardona right in the gut, before shoving him into the corner of The Bloodline. Apparently having made his point early with that uppercut, Roman tags out to Solo, who gets into the ring and grabs Cardona, lifting him up, and planting him with a side slam! Solo drives Cardona into the mat, and then gets up, mean mugging the Major Players corner, and telling Steph, yelling for Matt to get up, to shut her mouth. Solo grabs Matt and goes to send him off the ropes, but Matt turns it around on him, and as Solo goes to rebound, Philly Collins knees him in the back from the apron! Solo turns around, seemingly unaffected by that, and DECKS Philly, knocking him off the apron, before turning and catching Marino with a straight right hand as well, knocking him down too! 

Solo tries to take a swing at Steph too, determined to apparently fight all of the Major Players by himself tonight, but Steph ducks it and shoves Solo back, spinning him around in the process, as Cardona leaps up and catches Solo with a Game Changer, Cardona’s version of a codebreaker, double knees right to Solo Sikoa’s face! Solo gets taken off his feet, and Cardona drags him over to the Major Players corner, before trapping Solo in a kneebar, and reaching up, tagging in Steph De Lander. Steph, Solo’s opponent for his short lived MPW debut match, quickly gets into the ring and mounts Solo, before nailing him with a couple of stiff forearm shots right to the head as Cardona continues to control Solo’s leg! Solo can’t really defend himself, and basically eats the shots to the head, which are clearly taking their toll. On a roster that features many a big lady from Abigail to Rhea Ripley and some others, Steph De Lander is one of our largest & strongest female roster members here in MPW, and shots like that from here will put your lights out quickly. Steph gets back up, and with one more stomp to Solo’s gut, quickly tags in Marino, who also mounts Solo, peppering him with right hands, before picking him up into a front facelock, and tagging in Philly. Marino exposes Solo’s rib rage to Philly as Philly winds up and delivers a haymaker to Solo’s ribs, dropping Solo right down to his knees, as Marino lets him go. Philly looks over at the Bloodline corner, and, quite boldly, grabs at his male parts and thrusts his hips at his opponents, telling them what they can suck, before turning his attention back to Solo. 

Philly traps Solo against the ropes and uses the ropes to choke Solo, pressing his knee down on the back of Sikoa’s head, before pulling Solo away at the request of referee Jake Clemons 5 count. Philly lifts Solo up, before driving him into the Major Players corner, allowing Matt Cardona to tag himself in, as Philly thrusts his shoulder into Solo’s gut one more time. Quick tags were keeping all of the Major Players fresh in this one, as as Cardona gets into the ring, Steph actually holds Solo’s arms, as Cardona delivers a brutal looking forearm right to Solo’s face! Cardona then pulls Solo out of the corner and right into a short arm clothesline, dropping Solo to the mat once again! Despite the early moments of this match, the Major Players have turned this into their kind of match, using misdirection and the numbers game to their advantage to isolate someone who many people think to be the most physically dominant member of The Bloodline after Roman. Wearing down Solo would put Roman & the Usos at a massive disadvantage in this one if the Major Players can continue to do this, especially when this match breaks down, like it almost inevitably will. 

Cardona makes a show of ripping off his shirt, before Cardona drops down and uses the fabric to choke Solo! Solo struggles to get free, but there’s technically no rules in a contest like this, so Clemons is letting it go! One thing Clemons apparently isn’t standing for is more people in the ring, because Jimmy Uso getting into the ring and kicking Cardona in the back to break the choke is met with Clemons turning around and telling Jimmy he isn’t the legal man. Jimmy looks furious as he reminds Clemons that Cardona was just choking Solo, but we all have our priorities I suppose. Cardona tags Philly Collins again, before wrapping up Solo’s legs so he can’t move, and allowing Philly Collins to come in and drop an elbow on the small of Solo’s back! At least Clemons is consistent as he tells Cardona to vacate the ring, Clemons doing his best to retain a modicum of control in this one before it inevitably breaks down. Philly Collins traps Solo in a head lock, and wrenches down on it, as the crowd tries to get Solo back in it. Solo starts to fight back up to his feet, starting to land a couple of stiff shots to Philly Collins, but Philly instead wrenches on the front facelock and calls for Marino, as Marino leaps off the top rope, catching Solo in the back with a Double Stomp, as Philly drops Solo with a DDT! Philly Collins with the cover as Marino rolls back out of the ring!  

1….2… Kickout!

Solo out at two! Philly gets up and throws Solo into the corner, before once again making the tag to Matt Cardona, as Cardona stalks Solo, now seated in the corner. Cardona takes the time to mock our fans, giving a very sarcastic and half hearted callback to the days they used to cheer him. 

“Woo! Woo! Woo!” 

Cardona charges at Solo, looking for a Broski Boot, but Solo manages to pop back up to his feet, and instead send Matt Cardona over the top rope and to the outside! 

Solo stumbles out of the corner, and Steph tries to get in the ring to attack, but Solo ducks the clothesline, and drops Steph with a thrust kick! Philly Collins is the next to try and stop him, but Solo grabs Philly and plants him with a Spinning Solo! Solo gets back up to his feet to continue his rampage, only to get caught by Marino, who leaps up and nails Solo with a Cyclone Kick! Solo doesn’t go down, but he might be out on his feet as he looks a little woozy, and Marino looks to follow it up by hitting the ropes, but on the rebound, Solo pops Marino up into the air, and drives him down into the mat with a MASSIVE Samoan Drop! Solo just took out the Major Players BY HIMSELF! 

Solo drops down, clearly beaten down by the amount of abuse he’d taken so far, as he tries desperately to crawl to his corner and get a tag. Roman is there, reaching out his hand for a tag, but suddenly, before Solo can tag him, Matt Cardona yanks Roman off the apron! Roman lands on his feet, and now Roman and Matt are trading blows on the outside, as Steph runs to help him, only to get met by Jimmy Uso, as those two begin trading right hands on the outside. Jey Uso finds Philly Collins going for a chair, and cuts him off with a stiff forearm, as this match has completely broken down into a brawl at this point! The only two men not participating is Solo & Marino, both men trying desperately to make it back to their feet and get in the fight themselves!

Solo charges Marino, and nearly takes his head off with a HUGE running Savate kick! Marino is staring up at the lights with a far away look in his eyes as Solo finally tags out, bringing in Jimmy Uso. Right behind him is Jey, the right hand man, and Jey launches the first kick, nailing Marino right on the jaw with a precise Superkick. Marino rocks to the left, and into a Superkick from Jimmy! He drops to his knees, and both Usos nail him with in-stereo Superkicks!

"Uce, it's time we finish this fool!" Jey shouts as Jimmy lifts Marino up. Jimmy pops Marino up into Jey's arms, planting him with the 1-D! One and Done, Jey stands guard as Jimmy drops into the cover!

1… 2… Broken up!

Cardona snuck in behind Jey to save the matchup, kicking Jimmy right in the head, and started beating down Jey. Cardona stands up as Roman slides into the ring behind him, and SLAMS his fist into Cardona's jaw, practically knocking him out cold with a Superman Punch! Roman brushes his hair back as he talks down to Cardona, reminding him who brought this fight to the Major Players. He could've let this rest, but Matt had to push the issue, and now he's getting his ass whooped by the Tribal Chief.

That is, until Steph throws herself at Roman, catching him with a forearm. The Head of the Table stumbles, nostrils flaring and jaw set tight as he stares De Lander down. "This isn't gonna go down the way you think it is. So run along, little girl, and get the hell out of my yard." and Steph SLAPS the taste out of Roman's mouth! Steph SLAPS the Tribal Chief! "Acknowledge that, BITCH!" Steph shouts before unleashing on Roman, pushing him back to the ropes with a series of heated forearms. Once he's on the ropes, De Lander whips him off, but Roman reverses, and has Steph rebounding into a throat thrust! Puncturing her throat, Steph grabs it and coughs, losing her footing, before getting knocked into the corner by a Savate kick from Jimmy Uso! Steph finds herself in her corner, and gets crushed by a body splash from Jey! She slides down, and here comes Solo, SQUASHING her head with a HUGE hip attack!

Solo and Jey lift what remains of Steph out of the corner, holding her up. Jimmy starts to climb to the top rope as Roman looks out at the crowd, cups his mouth, and in unison with Seattle, yells out a room shaking, "AWOOOOOOOGAAAAAA!" Jey and Solo lift De Lander onto Roman's shoulders, and plant her with a HUGE triple Powerbomb! As Roman moves out of the way, Jimmy comes off the top rope, and flattens Steph with an USO Splash! This one's over!

1… 2… BROKEN UP!

PME breaks it up, saving the match for the Major Players! With Cardona nowhere in sight, and Steph, obviously, nowhere close to recovering, the numbers are not in their favor, but PME still tries to take out The Usos. In return, they get two Superkicks to the face, knocking them right back down to the floor. The Usos line PME up before jumping over the top rope, taking them both out with a double Uso Crazy Splash!

Inside the ring, Solo has Steph by the shoulder, with his thumb pointing out. He leans his head back and lets out a battle cry as Roman hits the ropes, looking for their Samoan Spike / Spear combo to finish this - when Cardona nails Roman with a chair! Roman drops to his knees! Solo can only take a step toward before Steph drops to hers, and nails Solo right in the family jewels! De Lander goes for the bean bag, and somehow, the Major Players might actually steal this! The Usos risked themselves to take out PME, Solo's down, and Cardona has Roman in his cross hairs!

As Roman gets to his feet, Cardona charges…. And hits Radio Silence on the chair! Holy shit! Is it possible?! Did they actually steal this?!?!

1…. 2…. KICKOUT!!!

NOPE, Roman out at two and a half!

Cardona is PISSED. He sits back, hands over his head, staring at the referee in a mixture of shock and rage. That should've been three. They had the perfect plan, but Roman found a way to kick out. Cardona jumps to his feet, getting in the referee's face, arguing with poor Remsburg. Steph comes over to berate the poor man as well, but they should keep their eyes on the prize…

Steph shrieks as she's spun around, and dropped by a pair of Superkicks from The Usos! Cardona charges them, but The Usos step out of the way, and Roman CRUSHES Matt Cardona with a MASSIVE Spear! Roman folds him up!

1… 2… 3!

"Here are your winners, The Bloodline!"

This one may have been predictable, as there are few factions as dominant as The Bloodline, but the Major Players put up one hell of a fight. Roman fists bumps his cousins before getting a microphone from ringside.

"SEATTLE." Roman's voice demands attention, and the crowd is more than happy to give it to him.

"ACKNOWLEDGE ME!"

Roman drops the microphone as The Bloodline throws up the 1s to a huge reaction from our Seattle crowd.

As the Bloodline leave, Steph tries to help Matt to his feet. PME slide into the ring to help, but as Philly and Marino try to check on Matt, Matt suddenly shoves Marino down to the mat?!

“This is your fault!” Matt shouts, looking down at Marnio, Philly tries to get in between the two of them as Steph takes a step back, Philly trying to get Matt to cool down, and look out for his best friend. “No, both of you, both of you LOSERS, are the reason we lost tonight! Where the hell were you?! Where the hell were either of you?! You two wouldn’t be anything without me, I brought you here, and this is the thanks I get?!” 

Marino gets back to his feet, and pushes Philly out of the way, going to get in Matt’s face, when Matt shoves Marino again. Marino takes a step back, as Matt continues to shout in his face: “What’re you gonna do?! What’re you gonna do about it?!” Matt gets his answer… - when Marino pops Cardona with a Superkick?! Philly flips Steph the bird as PME exit the ring, what the hell just happened?!
