🎶 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝘅 𝗲́𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗽𝘀𝗲́𝗲𝘀 - 𝗔̀ 𝗹𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝗲́𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗲 𝗹'𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗶𝗿𝗲 🎵
🎸 𝗔𝘂𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗱’𝗵𝘂𝗶 : 𝗦𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗮 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗲 (𝟭𝟵𝟭𝟱-𝟭𝟵𝟳𝟯) 🎤

SAD NEWS: Fleetwood Mac member Christine McVie has died at the age of 79, the band announced Wednesday. "There are no words to describe our sadness at the passing of Christine McVie," the band shared in a statement posted to their social media accounts. "She was truly one-of-a-kind, special and talented beyond measure. She was the best musician anyone could have in their band and the best friend anyone could have in their life." "We were so lucky to have a life with her. Individually and together, we cherished Christine deeply and are thankful for the amazing memories we have," the statement continued. "She will be so very missed." McVie, born Christine Perfect July 12, 1943 in England’s Lake District village of Bouth, Lancashire, McVie studied music in school and by the 1960s was singing in various groups and for band leader Spencer Davis. McVie joined Fleetwood Mac in 1970 after marrying the band's bassist, John McVie. Her first album with the band was 1971’s Future Games, which also included another new member, Bob Welch. Sharing both vocal duties and hit-writing with Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham during the band’s 1970s and ’80s heyday, McVie carved out a niche for herself with such songs as “Don’t Stop,” “Over My Head” and “Say You Love Me.” McVie performed with the group for nearly 30 years before leaving the band.  A statement on behalf of McVie's family was issued to the late musician's social media accounts as well, noting that McVie "passed away peacefully" in the hospital on Nov. 30 "following a short illness" while "in the company of her family." "We kindly ask that you respect the family's privacy at this extremely painful time, and we would like everyone to keep Christine in their hearts and remember the life of an incredible human being, and revered musician who was loved universally," the statement also read. Up Your Geek extends its condolences to McVie’s family, friends, colleagues and fans. #PeaceInParadise #RIP #ChristineMcVie #RIPChristineMcVie #Singer #SongWriter #KeyBoardist #GrammyWinner #FleetwoodMac #RockAndRoll #RockAndRollHallOfFame https://www.instagram.com/p/CloL59ZLQCt/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Stays Krunchy in Milk Episode 555: Those Who Matter Don’t Mind!
Huge thanks to The Cleveland Guardians for unexpectedly giving this city some October Baseball! Hope we can do it again soon. Rush hour traffic after years of not dealing with it absolutely turrible. Box has started weight loss injectables as a means to conquer his weight issues once and for all. It’s a very open and honest discussion that I hope people hear and understand. As for Tee, well, he got new glasses. His kid invented a new turn of phrase for when men’s pants kind of puff out near one’s nethers. Tee loves talking about Dan’s past Magic The Gathering success. Turns out, his brother-in-law knows of Dan’s fame. We head to Reddit for some AITA before sharing our entertainment recommendations for the week. We have a great time this and every week. If you are only listening to the show, consider watching the video version and subscribing to our YouTube channel. We really try to make that version fun and interesting to watch.
Thanks,
Team SKiM

The children of legendary guitarist Robbie Robertson, frontman and songwriter for The Band, have filed a lawsuit against their late father's widow, Janet Zuccarini. The lawsuit centers on allegations of financial elder abuse and attempts to manipulate the terms of Robertson's estate. Let's delve deeper into the details of the lawsuit, the accusations against Zuccarini, and the potential impact on Robertson's legacy. Robbie Robertson Sue Widow A Family Divided: The Lawsuit's Core Allegations The lawsuit, filed in California Superior Court, accuses Zuccarini of exploiting Robbie Robertson's declining health and mental capacity to gain financial advantage. Here's a breakdown of the key allegations: Coercive Property Purchase: The lawsuit claims Zuccarini pressured Robertson into purchasing a $6 million mansion in Beverly Hills, with Robertson contributing the entire down payment despite the agreement outlining equal ownership and shared expenses. Questionable Prenuptial Agreement: The timing of the prenuptial agreement raises suspicion. The lawsuit alleges Zuccarini had Robertson sign the prenup shortly after his cancer returned and his health deteriorated significantly, questioning his ability to fully understand the document's implications. Financial Exploitation: The lawsuit details expenses incurred by Zuccarini for renovations and furnishings at the Beverly Hills home, totaling over $179,000. These expenses are seen as further evidence of financial exploitation. **Manipulating Inheritance: **The lawsuit alleges Zuccarini made claims to a significant portion of the estate, threatening to disrupt previously agreed-upon inheritance plans for Robertson's children. A Timeline of Events: From Beverly Hills Mansion to Legal Battle The lawsuit paints a picture of a series of events that ultimately led to the legal battle: 2023: Zuccarini allegedly convinces Robertson to buy a $6 million mansion in Beverly Hills, with Robertson financing the entire down payment despite a supposed agreement for shared ownership and expenses. Spring 2023: With Robertson's health declining, Zuccarini reportedly has him sign a prenuptial agreement. The lawsuit casts doubt on Robertson's ability to comprehend the document due to his deteriorating health. August 2023: Sadly, Robbie Robertson passes away. Following Robertson's Death: Zuccarini's legal team reportedly makes demands on the estate, seeking ongoing financial support from the trust and potentially a larger share of the inheritance. Legal Arguments and Potential Outcomes The lawsuit seeks several key outcomes: Cancellation of Property Agreement: The Robertson children seek to nullify the property agreement amendment that gave Zuccarini ownership rights to the Beverly Hills mansion. Financial Compensation: The lawsuit seeks compensatory damages for financial losses allegedly inflicted by Zuccarini's actions. Punitive Damages: The lawsuit seeks punitive damages to deter similar behavior in the future. Zuccarini's legal team has denied the allegations, asserting that the lawsuit is a "meritless fiction" and that Zuccarini was acting by Robbie Robertson's wishes. Impact on Robbie Robertson's Legacy This legal battle casts a shadow over the legacy of Robbie Robertson, a musical giant who co-founded The Band and is considered a pioneer of Americana music. The lawsuit's details raise questions about the final chapter of Robertson's life and potentially tarnish his memory.

Rock ’N Roll Hall of Famer Ricky Byrd Live on Game Changers with Vicki Abelson
Hanging out with Rock’N Roll Hall of Famer, Ricky Byrd, is like going home. Back to the days… when we were both in a daze. I was booking the Rock 'N Roll Café on Bleecker Street, Ricky was already a rockstar, center stage as lead guitarist with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, playing those iconic riffs in the fab MTV Music Video Days... when there were ashtrays on restaurant tables, and MTV played music videos. Just found a great pic of Ricky and Elliot Easton sitting in on our tiny stage in ’87ish. All those years ago, and yet how fun to have seen Elliot play live last week with The Immediate Family and Zoom tonight with Ricky. One big difference, both Ricky and I are sober. 36 years for him, and the last many, being of service and giving back with his time, and his music. His current passion, partnering with AllSober.com to aid those struggling with addiction to gain inspiration from their sober heroes. He treated us to his Ain’t Gonna Live Like That No More to punctuate the point. Ricky received the Drug-Free Heroes Award, presented by the Foundation For a Drug-Free World, The Faces and Voices 2019 Voice of Recovery Award, and the 2019 Italian American of Distinction Award, presented by Governor Cuomo, for his work in recovery.  This Rockboy walks his talk.
Old friends, it was an easy breezy walk down memory lane, littered with one-liners, and rim shots. Ricky may be a rocker but he’s a Borscht Belt comic at heart. Fabulous stories about touring with Graham Parker, Roger Daltry, and Ian Hunter, the thrill of playing THAT riff from All the Young Dudes, having Simon Kirke of Bad Company behind him hitting those beats, backing Brian Wilson, sitting next to MeatLoaf watching his hero Jeff Beck, both of them weeping. We talked quite a bit about Beck, and Townshend, Eddie Van Halen, John Mayer, Albert King, the old days of the Filmore East, The Academy of  Music, the Humble Pie, J Geils Band, and Black Oak Arkansas show we both were at when we were babies. Speaking of the Babys, we talked John Waite, Ricky’s old, my new friend, and his hysterical speech whilst being inducted into the Rock ’N Roll Hall of Fame with Joan Jett and The Blackhearts. Why she didn’t much react behind him, and looking past the front row where Paul and Ringo, his raison d’etre for becoming a musician sat with Funk 49s, Joe Walsh. And then, sharing the stage with them - and his great interactions with both Paul and Ringo. Ricky’s fan love for his heroes is so relatable and fun to witness.
Ricky’s Rhapsody in Blues - An Instrumental Tribute to Jeff Beck is spectacular as are his other WIcked Cool released singles, Louanne, Alien, and Glamdenic Blues, and they’re available here:  https://www.rickybyrd.com We got the story behind each and why he requests we download rather than stream. I did as soon as we got off the interweb.
I adore my old friend. I so enjoyed every second and every word of this conversation. It was such a treat to spend time again in his great company.

Duane Eddy, a legendary guitarist credited with shaping the sound of early rock and roll, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 86. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994, Eddy's reverberating electric guitar riffs on iconic tracks like "Rebel Rouser" and "Peter Gunn" influenced countless musicians, including George Harrison, Bruce Springsteen, and Paul McCartney. Duane Eddy A Career Defined by Innovation and "Twang" Born in Corning, New York, Eddy's musical journey began at the tender age of 5 in Phoenix, Arizona. Though he initially dreamt of becoming a singer on the Grand Ole Opry, destiny had a different tune in store. In 1958, he signed with Jamie Records and released "Rebel Rouser," a song that became synonymous with his name and signature style. Eddy's sound was distinct. He championed the use of a guitar's bass strings, creating a unique "twang" that resonated with audiences. This distinctive sound became his trademark, evident in his first album, "Have 'Twangy' Guitar Will Travel," and continued to define his music throughout his career, even influencing the production of Nancy Sinatra's hit "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'." Collaboration and Commercial Success Eddy's creative partnership with producer Lee Hazlewood in the 1950s proved to be a golden era. Together, they crafted the "Twang" sound that revolutionized the music landscape. This sound propelled Eddy to commercial success, with a five-year peak from 1958 to 1963. While his later hit "Freight Train" (1970) marked a shift towards a more easy-listening style, Eddy's impact on rock and roll remained undeniable. Throughout his career, Eddy recorded over 50 albums, including reissues. He also ventured into film scoring, composing memorable themes for movies like "Because They're Young" (1960) and "Gidget Goes Hawaiian" (1961). Interestingly, Eddy famously rejected the opportunity to compose the James Bond theme song due to its lack of emphasis on guitar. Beyond the Spotlight: Later Years and Legacy The 1970s saw Eddy take a step back from the limelight, opting to work behind the scenes in music production, primarily in Los Angeles. Despite a semi-retirement period in Lake Tahoe, California, Eddy eventually settled in Nashville in 1985. A testament to his enduring influence, Eddy found himself collaborating with former Beatles Paul McCartney and George Harrison after their time with the band. He played on McCartney's "Rockestra Theme" and Harrison contributed his talents to Eddy's self-titled comeback album, both released in 1987. Eddy's legacy extends far beyond his impressive sales figures, which exceed 100 million records sold worldwide. He is credited with pioneering a new sound for the guitar, one that redefined the genre and inspired generations of musicians. His unwavering dedication to his craft and his unique "twang" continue to shape the landscape of rock and roll even today.
