I’ve not watched Emmerdale in ages but I do know that Aaron is engaged to Robert’s half brother John Sugden (or at least a guy pretending to be John). And that Seb is now living with some great aunt or something since Rebecca died.

What I need to happen if this facade gets as far as the wedding day is when the objections are called Robert and Seb come in yelling their objections and Aaron to realise that he still loves Robert and wants his family back and goes back to them, leaving “John” at the altar.

I really liked the conversation between aaron and steph and am actually kind of surprised that they mentioned that aaron started self harming because of jackson’s death, I thought they were only going to mention it in relation to gordon. Also surprised that they mentioned specifically that aaron didn’t take care of his cuts and got sepsis, something which I don’t even think has been brought up since it happened (not even the second time his cuts got infected).

Honestly, I do have to give some sort of kudos to emmerdale for remembering and including ‘smaller’ details like that and when aaron mentioned fish and chips earlier in the year. Now if only they remembered certain bigger things from aaron’s past, hmm…

Yeah like the person who helped him get to hospital - who was that again? Chas? Cain?

So he's a murderer but he's really sorry about it so he keeps harming people so he can then save them because he feels guilty about the person he actually killed and he might be forced to kill again if someone tries to call him a murderer or figures out that he is a murderer but otherwise he's great so we shouldn't really be bothered by the fact that he's crazy and also a murderer because he's a Sugden.

Oh Aaron loves him, that doesn’t mean that the primary reason he has grown feelings for him isn’t driven by guilt and a sense of awe at the things John has done for him. He loves who he thinks John is, but that person doesn’t exist.

People fall in love easily on soaps, not every person they fall for is meant to be their one true love or love of their life. No point expecting Aaron to never have feelings for anyone but a character who may never return to the show.
