The Benefits of Implementing AGV Robots in Manufacturing Facilities
Introduction
In the ever-evolving landscape of manufacturing, efficiency and productivity are the keys to success. The adoption of cutting-edge technology has become a prerequisite for staying competitive, and one of the most transformative innovations in recent years is the implementation of Autonomous Guided Vehicle (AGV) robots. These self-driving robots have not only changed the way we view automation in manufacturing but have also brought a host of benefits to the table. In this blog, we will explore the advantages of integrating AGV robots in manufacturing facilities.
The Team Robotics leads the AGV Robot Manufacturer in Chennai, offering cutting-edge robotic solutions. Our AGV robots enhance efficiency, safety, and flexibility, catering to the unique needs of Indian manufacturing. Join us in shaping a more productive and secure future for your business.
Improved Efficiency
One of the primary benefits of implementing AGV robots in manufacturing facilities is the substantial improvement in efficiency. These robots work tirelessly around the clock, without breaks or downtime, ensuring that production lines keep moving. Unlike human workers, AGVs are not subject to fatigue, distractions, or the need for rest, making them a valuable addition to any manufacturing process.
AGVs can be programmed to follow optimal routes, reducing travel time and minimizing congestion on the factory floor. This efficient movement of materials and products can significantly reduce lead times and enhance production rates, ultimately boosting the overall output of the facility.
Enhanced Safety
Safety is a top priority in manufacturing, and AGV robots are designed with safety features that make them a valuable addition to any factory. AGVs are equipped with various sensors, cameras, and obstacle-detection systems that allow them to navigate through the facility while avoiding collisions with humans and other obstacles. This minimizes the risk of accidents and injuries in the workplace.
Furthermore, AGVs can operate in hazardous environments where human workers may be at risk. They can handle tasks in high-temperature, high-dust, or chemical-exposed areas without any adverse effects on their performance or health. This capability improves workplace safety by reducing human exposure to dangerous conditions.
Flexibility and Adaptability
Manufacturing facilities often need to adapt to changing product lines, production schedules, and process requirements. AGV robots offer a high degree of flexibility and adaptability to meet these challenges. They can be easily reprogrammed to perform new tasks, follow different paths, or work in various parts of the facility. This adaptability allows manufacturers to respond quickly to changing market demands and maintain operational efficiency.
Cost Savings
Implementing AGV robots in manufacturing facilities can result in significant cost savings. While the initial investment in AGVs may seem substantial, the long-term benefits more than justify the expense. These savings come from reduced labor costs, increased productivity, and decreased error rates.
AGVs eliminate the need for manual material handling, reducing the labor force required for tasks like material transport and inventory management. This can lead to substantial labor cost savings over time. Additionally, AGVs are highly accurate, reducing the likelihood of errors in product handling and decreasing waste, which can result in further cost reductions.
24/7 Operation
AGV robots can operate 24/7, ensuring a continuous production cycle. Unlike human workers, they don't require rest or breaks, and they can be easily scheduled to work during non-peak hours, improving facility utilization. This continuous operation not only increases output but also helps meet tight production deadlines, ultimately benefiting the bottom line of the manufacturing facility.
Data Collection and Analysis
AGV robots are equipped with sensors and data collection capabilities that allow them to gather information about the manufacturing process. This data can be invaluable for process optimization, quality control, and predictive maintenance. With the insights provided by AGVs, manufacturing facilities can identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions to enhance their operations.
Reduced Inventory Costs
AGVs can play a vital role in managing inventory efficiently. By automating the movement of materials and products, they can help in minimizing excess inventory and storage costs. This can lead to significant savings in warehousing expenses and a reduction in the capital tied up in stock.
Enhanced Product Quality
Consistency is key to maintaining high product quality in manufacturing. AGV robots perform tasks with precision and consistency, reducing the likelihood of errors in production. This consistency ensures that products meet the desired quality standards, reducing defects and waste.
Space Optimization
Manufacturing facilities often struggle with space constraints. AGV robots are compact and can navigate through narrow aisles and tight spaces, making the most of available floor space. This space optimization can help manufacturers utilize their facilities more effectively and reduce the need for costly expansions.
Scalability
As manufacturing facilities grow or evolve, AGV systems can easily scale to meet changing needs. Additional robots can be integrated into the existing fleet without major disruptions, allowing facilities to adapt to increased demand or new product lines seamlessly.
Conclusion
The adoption of AGV robots in manufacturing facilities offers a multitude of benefits, from increased efficiency and cost savings to enhanced safety and flexibility. As the manufacturing industry continues to evolve, AGVs are becoming an indispensable part of the modern factory. Their ability to work around the clock, adapt to changing needs, and improve product quality positions them as a key driver of success in the manufacturing world. By integrating AGV robots, manufacturing facilities can not only stay competitive but also thrive in an increasingly dynamic and demanding market

Would you mind talking at all about steampunk as a genre? I strongly feel like for it to properly become a genre, more than an aesthetic, it needs to shed the historical milieu of being in 18th-19th century, but the most that people ever do with it is place it in China or something, which is great, but I'm convinced, falls short of its potential.
My apocryphal understanding of the origins of Steampunk (and understand that this isn't my wheelhouse, so I'm going to be talking at least a little out my ass for the rest of this post) is that a lot of it can be traced to William Gibson's 1990 novel The Difference Engine- where the point-slash-gag was to transfer well-understood cyberpunk tropes into a historical milieu, to demonstrate that Scramble-for-Africa participants and the Dutch East India company would not be significantly better behaved than 1980s-flavored megacorps if they were in possession of anachronistically powerful computing technology. That Cyberpunk was about hegemony and how advanced technology can be used to reinforce or subvert that hegemony, and that if you were hung up on the surface level aesthetics of leather jackets and cyberspace, or little details like "does this technology actually remotely make sense," you were missing the point by a mile.
If you strip out the specificity of the time period, there frankly isn't a lot left- you're back to cyberpunk, or dieselpunk, or atompunk, or any of the other decade-linked sub-breeds. There are a lot of steampunk works that run with the original idea that giving 19th-century great powers the keys to a mech would be politically catastrophic - often in conversation with turn of the century seminal science fiction like Wells or Verne- and there are also a lot that reproduce the original criticism of cyberpunk by leaning into the aesthetics of airships and brassy robotics without giving as much thought to the political dimensions. If you're just gluing gears onto a tophat, you aren't necessarily doing it wrong but you're certainly doing it superficially. What are those gears doing

Dark Blue Moon and the Suffering Sun Chapter 32
MASTAPOST
Samson S. Skulker. Wealthy real estate owner, noted trophy hunter.  Been on safaris in Botswana, Indonesia, India, and other countries taking big game. Guy hunted just about everything. Elephants, rhinos, tigers, elk, only to come to Elmerton Bay, just an hour away by boat from Amity Island.
It didn’t take two brain cells to figure out why. The better question was why Phantom tried to point webbed fingers at him as to the whereabouts of Danny Fenton, a move that was transparently (goddammit Dick and your puns) a lie, according to Bruce. Tim Drake slipped into the man’s more private records without even trying.
Of course, getting the data out and parsing what it meant were two very different things. But he wasn’t trained by Batman for nothing. Skulker did make cursory attempts at hiding his electronic paper trail, but cursory was absolutely not enough to keep 13-year-old Tim out, let alone his current self.
Firstly, the man absolutely hunted more exotic, more illegal creatures. That much was clear. Borrowing some of Barbara’s programmes, Tim found the man travelling to much more remote countries. His little vacations coincided with missing persons reports around the same time.
Missing metas, to be exact. Each person with a power set dangerous to themselves and others. Each person having disappeared without a trace and then never to be found again. The picture Tim was building was getting grimmer.
Secondly, the man was buying parts. Robotics parts, to be exact. Engines, weapons systems, hydraulics. Many of them sourced from Vladco, the company founded by Vlad Masters, an old college friend of Jack and Maddie Fenton, who were the parents to the missing teenager of Tim’s current case.
But Danny Fenton did not have the meta-gene, a fact Tim confirmed after yet another concerning breach of privacy. He filed that detail away for later investigating.
Tim pressed a key, letting his programmes run while he got a coffee. Oh sweet delicious coffee. He had once distilled almost pure caffeine into a syrup. It was the most horrible thing he’d tasted in his life, but the buzz kept him up all night, that was until his heart started giving out. That was less enjoyable.
What was also less enjoyable was the revving motorcycle heading into the Batcave. Two motorcycles, in fact. Just as Tim’s afternoon was looking to be peaceful and quiet.
“Don’t fucking give me that, Dickwing!” Jason called out.
“I’m fine, Jay, maybe you need to stop hovering over me like some mama bear.” Dick put down his helmet with maybe a little too much force.
Jason hopped off his own bike. “That’s bullshit and even Timbit knows it.”
Tim shrunk into the Batcomputer’s chair. He so did not want to be a part of this. He just waited for his older brothers to carry their argument out of earshot, like they had been doing regularly now. The men traded strong words with every footstep across the cave.
“Maybe I’m just a little high strung. It’s honestly nothing.”
“You literally cannot fucking say that when I saw you going full-ass Punisher five minutes ago. Like the traffickers yesterday were one thing. Those guys suck. This dude was literally just a mugger. Are you going out of your fucking mind?”
“Jason, I thought you were supposed to be the one who’s all for going full Punisher style?”
Jason groaned loudly, and then transitioned into a frustrated scream. “Do you even hear yourself?!”
The changing room door slammed shut.
That was the second argument in the last two days. If you told Tim that Mr Heads-in-a-Duffle would be lecturing the Golden Child over excessive force, he’d start working on a machine to send you back to the topsy-turvy alternate dimension you’d come from, but apparently his dimension was the topsy-turvy one the whole time. And he hated it.
Turns out Dick inherited more from Bruce than he liked to admit, including his awful coping mechanisms. And to be honest, he was way too tired to even begin to breach this subject.
He should be happy that his literal attempted murderer was going to be out of his hair for a good while, maybe even forever. But even entertaining the thought made him sick enough to avoid the topic in his head for hours, only to think about it again, and get himself sick again.
So back to Skulker it was. Joy.
It turned out his new friend Skulker had made himself a fucking Iron Man rip-off suit, capable of flight, diving, and packed to the gills with fuck-you bazookas, machine guns, and hydroplasm weapons. Hydroplasm guns that he’d sourced from the Fentons themselves, through a long and complicated chain of buyoffs.
And happy day, the man was kind enough to install cameras and microphones, and kept logs from both.
In a surprising twist, it was fiendishly difficult to hack into those logs. Tim was honestly beginning to sweat. He suspected Skulker’s friends at Vladco (namely Vlad Masters, the sleezeball. Tim never liked him at galas and this only cemented his low opinion) had some secrets that they didn’t want out.
No matter, it was only a matter of time. Tim continued typing.
And typing.
And typing.
What the hell was this firewall?! Tim pinched his arm just to make sure this wasn’t a sleep-deprivation hallucination. He could’ve sworn he’d gotten through that layer of security. It was like it was shifting itself to cover up his progress and force him to start over. Almost like it was alive.
Against the thunderous backdrop of his brothers’ clashing voices, Tim set himself on overdrive. If he could just act faster than it could correct itself, then maybe, maybe.
A plain error message informed him of the results long after he’d already seen them. Tim kicked the table for good measure. The only thing he could extract was two frames of video footage. They showed, respectively, a T-shirt and pair of sneakers that matched what one of the missing metas was wearing when they were last seen.
Was it damning evidence? Absolutely. But it also proved to him absolutely nothing that he wasn’t already suspecting, nothing that could point him in a new direction. Still, it made his stomach churn. He hoped those people would get a better second chance beyond the grave.
Maybe the fact that the data was this well-hidden at all proved something.
The locker room door swung open, his brothers in civvies and glaring at each other, trying to appear civil in front of (right behind) Tim, even though they’d literally just been shouting at each other ten minutes ago.
“Timmy!” Dick called out. “How long have you been awake?”
Tim gestured offhanded to his pile of only two used mugs. “Not long enough. I’m still working. Can you take it upstairs please?”
Jason huffed, and stalked off upstairs without a word, probably too disgusted to be in his and Dick’s presence much longer.
Dick clasped his hands. “It’s fine, Tim. Honestly. Jason and I are just having a little, err, disagreement, is all.”
“Hm.” Tim inputted another set of commands. He was starting to see why Bruce liked to say that now. Avoiding painful emotions felt so good. Dick made a pained noise.
“Well, ok. I’m just gonna head back to Bludhaven now. Say hi to Alfred for me! And contact me if you need anything!” And then he sped off.
Tim shook off the awkwardness like old clothes. Thank goodness for some peace and quiet again. Maybe that was why he was working so hard to help Bruce get the demon child back, so he could return to the status quo, and not this. This hell reality where Dick was as emotionally constipated as Bruce and Jason was the one acting as the voice of reason.
The first night when Bruce called home, the entire family was in an uproar. Dick got a pale look on his face, and was halfway about to take the Batplane and go searching for Damian himself, only for Bruce to remind him that they were all still needed in Gotham and Bludhaven, and whatever few leads there were, Bruce would pursue. It was effortlessly logical, but it was clear Dick hated it. He stormed off in a rage that Tim had only seen when Ethiopia was fresh, when he and Bruce were at their lowest.
And Jason? He got this look on his face that he’d never, ever seen before. Tim had laid awake one night just contemplating it for ages.
Actually, no. He had seen it once before. It was Tim caught Jason looking into what Bruce was doing in the months after Ethiopia. Tim had subtly hacked the phone camera, and the look Jason had then was the same as how he looked when Damian was declared missing.
Tim shook his head. It was a gruesome image, what Bruce had sent them. Damian’s clothes ripped to shreds. The ground stained with his blood. No body in sight.
A little brother who may or may not be dead, something he may or may not be glad or sick to his stomach about. Brothers who were acting like completely different people, and a monster of a man who had to be connected somehow.
A ping appeared in the corner of the screen. The government siren hunting branch appearing in Panama?
Sam Manson sat up in her bed, her body finding some way to release the dread and tension. She looked on at her phone in horror and macabre fascination in equal parts.
This had Danny written all over it. She didn’t even need to hear the anchor confirming it to know.
On the one hand, she really wanted to applaud him for fucking them up this bad. The comment section was ripping into the GiW for their actions in Panama, treating the country like it was some vassal state they could romp around in. She personally screenshotted the fucking beautiful mass car crash the GiW had gotten into trying to catch him, and saved it into her favourites folder.
On the other hand, she really wanted to slap him for fucking up this bad. This could’ve easily gone wrong. Danny what were you thinking?! They could’ve got him that time!
And finally, she wanted to yell in frustration, because they had a radio communicator there. Goddammit! If only Tucker had known, they he could’ve hacked in and they could’ve talked to their best friend and actually got an update on what the fuck was going on.
And finally, finally for real, she was so glad, because the GiW would’ve announced it on every news channel if they’d actually managed to catch him. Thank fucking goodness.
Ugh, this headache. She really needed to lie down again.
Knock, knock knock knock knock, knock knock.
Dread pooled in her stomach. “Come in,” she said, resigned to her fate.
Grandma Ida, the person she least wanted to see right now, opened the door. She was the kind of woman who never carried herself very seriously, except for in matters of sorcery, and especially when warning Sam on the dangers of her craft. Dangers that Sam had ignored in order to go all out. Now she marched into Sam’s bedroom like an executioner.
Grandma stood at the foot of Sam’s bed, scanning her closely. “I knew I smelled tinged blood.” She went up to the side, and palmed Sam’s forehead. Her hand was freezing cold to the touch. “You should’ve called me immediately.”
Sam averted her eyes. She should’ve, but she didn’t.
Her parents never failed to get a rise out of her; she rejected their notions of female beauty and social etiquette in every way, their attempts to hook her up with Tim Drake-Wayne, then Damian Wayne, and she hadn’t cowed to them or submitted since she was ten. But with Grandma’s withering disapproval, she couldn’t feel more like a child if she tried.
“I’m sorry.” She whispered.
“I warned you many times of the risks, Sammy. You’re lucky to be here, and not in the hospital or worse.”
“I know.”
Sam moved to lie on her side, facing away from Granny. Granny had questioned her decision to fight alongside Danny, but allowed it under the condition that she did so safely, and turning your body into a popping water balloon, but with blood, was so not the definition of safe.
And Danny’s fate was still in question regardless. He wasn’t able to cross Panama, and who knows what Damian was doing. What if it was all for naught?
A hand was put on her shoulder. “Did you accomplish what you were set out to do?”
Sam nodded. “Yeah.”
“And was it worth it?” Yes. Absolutely yes. Danny bled every day for this god-forsaken town of ingrates. He’d bled for her mistake six months ago.
Granny seemed to understand her feelings. She nodded, and ruffled Sam’s hair, and the tension in Sam’s body drained away.
“Then I trust your judgement. Can you sit up? I’ve brought some more medicine for you.”
Sam pushed herself against the bunched-up pillows at the headboard. Her head spun from the motion, but she was never one to let her body’s limits confine her. “Thank you, Bubbe. I love you.”
Granny passed her a brew of herbal medicine, dozens of dried spices and mushrooms brewed together into a blackened sludge that felt like knives into your tongue, but which never failed to get her feeling better. It was a leg up from what big pharma tried to pedal for ten-fold the price.
Sam lifted up the mug to her face. And, oh yeah. Nothing like bitter liquid pain to help with a migraine. She let the hot tea flow over her taste buds, pathing them in cinnamon, star anise and a million other things.
She finished her tea in one satisfying gulp, running her tongue over her teeth and scratching out the lingering aftertaste. As she put the mug down, it revealed Grandma’s face hovering right in front of her. Sam yelped in shock. “Bubbe! You gave me a heart attack!”
Bubbe smiled devilishly. “So what did you do?”
Sam’s mouth gaped open. Leave it to her Grandma to almost kill her from emotional whiplash.
“Now come on, this is a monumental moment for a budding young sorceress like yourself. Why, when I was twenty-two, I used to run with some heroic types myself. We had all sorts of hijinks together.” Bubbe cackled and clasped her hands, eyes going wispy. “My friends got a heart attack when I pulled off my own hare-brained scheme to topple the evil overlord of the week’s central command. Hah!”
“What?!” Then Sam coughed, and lowered her volume. “What do you mean ‘heroic types.’ You just told me you went to some stuffy academy and eloped.”
Bubbe shrugged. “I did do that. Must have forgotten the extra stuff.”
Sam blinked.
She moved to sit beside Sam on the bed. “We got up to a lot of fun back in the day, and a lot of pain too. I did what I did to protect those I cared for. Did you, bubbeleh?”
She held Sam’s hand with a look that reminded her just how many years Grandma had lived, and how many adventures or stories she had yet to tell, how much heartache she’d had to endure to become the woman she was now. “I projected an illusion all the way off the coast of Panama. It hurt like nothing else in my entire life, but…” She paused. “We got Phantom out. He’s safe now, I think.”
Grandma Ida nodded solemnly, the kind of understanding that Sam craved from her parents every waking moment of her teenage career.
“I don’t want this to be a regular occurrence, ok?”
“Yes, I promise. This was an extreme circumstance.”
“Good. Now, are you well enough for some meditation? It would do well to keep your soul energy flowing.”
Ok, but you have to tell me what you got up to back in the day.”
Granny chuckled, and agreed to it. Sam kicked off her covers, letting her legs get some fresh air. She was probably pushing it, but she needed to recover as quickly as possible. Who knew when she would be needed again?
Maddie Fenton kneeled in the sand. Her hands clamped down on her gun. Her knees shook. Tears prickled in her goggles.
Her baby was right there. He was so close. So fucking close. She could almost touch him, even now.
And he ran away from her. And at first her heart shattered into a million pieces, just like it had when he’d come home after his first disappearance and flinched when she hugged him.
Then she realised. He was protecting her. Some metal menace was shooting at her defenseless son like it was some kind of sick game. The monster of a man had laid fucking landmines on a public beach.
It should’ve been her protecting him.
Bruce Wayne returned to her side, empty handed. They’d scoured this entire beach. Danny couldn’t have gone far, she had thought, only for their search to turn up with nothing.
That left only one option. That her enemy doubled back after fleeing, and snatched Danny up without either her or Bruce noticing. Maddie’s heart sank. She should’ve aimed for the head.
A name pinged in her mind. Phantom had whispered it to her. Skulker.
With nary but nod, she and Bruce mounted their jet skis again.

March 2024 Important Dates
Tumblr media
AKA my notes on The Astrology Podcast's March Forecast.
February recap: The conjunction between Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Pluto in Aquarius conjunction has aligned with new tech developments. The Venus-Pluto conjunction heralded OpenAI's new text-to-video generator and the ensuing discussion on its potential political, labor, and artistic effects. Mercury was conjunct Mars and Venus trine Jupiter (with Virgo Moon completing a grand trine & involving the Saturn-Pisces opposition) the day Neuralink tried its first human subject. How will different parts of society react to further developments in cybernetics and body augmentation? Past occurrences of astrological alignments can help us make predictions. Advances in robotics during a major transit in the humanistic sign of Aquarius will challenge us to redefine what it means to be human. On February 10th, around the Mars-Pluto conjunction, a group of people set a self-driving delivery car on fire in San Francisco. These robo-taxis are likely going to increase when Jupiter enters Gemini, and indeed a few companies are poised to launch in other cities.
In other Pluto in Aquarius news, last episode Chris noted there's work in using X-rays to ancient scrolls from Herculaneum and Pompeii that can't be opened without incurring damage. On February 5th, the day of the Mercury-Pluto conjunction, the first images of one of these scrolls have been made available. This fits with Mercury-Pluto themes of lost or buried information coming to light. On the same day King Charles of England's cancer diagnosis was announced--an announcement of mortality. We also had the first privately-funded lunar vehicle landing. Pluto makes large thing imperceptibly small and makes microscopic things enormous.
In Saturn in Pisces news, in 2020 Chris predicted success for Miley Cyrus's Saturn return and indeed she won the Grammy. This also marks part 2 of the Dune movie--the book was written under Saturn in Pisces as well. Other influential sci-fi & fantasy stories were written under Saturn in Pisces like Lord of the Rings, and our hosts predict that a new classic will be born during this transit. In other Mars-Pluto news, we have ambiguous stories about nuclear weapons and Israel's announcement of storming Rafah. Unfortunately the upcoming eclipses (connected to 6 months ago) do not bode well for cessation of warfare. On February 15th, farmers in India have begun striking again, and doctors in South Korea walked out on the job to protest working conditions--Mars in Aquarius squaring Jupiter-Uranus in Taurus reactivates these ongoing labor disputes.
Our hosts recorded the forecast before the perfect Mercury-Saturn-Sun conjunction in Pisces hit on February 28th (the day I'm typing this!), which is one of the major influences over the first half of March. The other big influence is Mars-Venus in Aquarius. In the mutable, indeterminate sign of Pisces, Saturn doesn't bring us as much order as he did in the previous two signs of his domicile.
March 2nd/3rd - Venus square Uranus Venus in Aquarius squares Uranus in Taurus--either a change is needed to bring us peace and pleasure, or something is disrupting our pleasure. Austin says either way, this placement prompts us for significant changes. Venus's is overcoming Uranus (earlier in the zodiac, has the upper hand), so we can make good use of this placement if we shake things up a little bit in relationships.
March 9th/10th - Mars square Uranus, Mercury enters Aries Mercury has entered the sign where he'll retrograde, stretching what would normally be a transit of a few weeks into 2 months. Mercury in Mars's sign amplifies the wishes of the red planet, who's doing some pretty interesting stuff. In a firey Mars-ruled sign, Mercury wants something practical to do. This clarity and decisiveness will be welcome after all the indecision of Pisces. However, the North Node is in Aries, with the power to obscure things even when it's not blocking the Sun's light. There will be an eclipse here in April, so the pathfinding is tricky. We'll definitely be doubling back as Mercury prepares to retrograde. Sometimes you need to dive into things while you have the vision, yet before you have the rationale. Austin likens it to clearing your way through thick jungle terrain to determine whether a route is viable--it's only by going forward that you find out that you're on the wrong path, and thus, where the right one is. Mercury retrogrades teach us to learn from our mistakes--third time's the charm!
Mars follows Venus's path, and along with Mercury, weighs heavily on the upcoming lunation. Mars-Uranus connotes surprise attacks, sudden severing, unexpected explosions. Internally this can make us feel restless and impulsive. Keywords: recklessness and action without planning. Think of a cigarette being dropped near an oil drum. Technology disruptions are also likely.
March 10th - Pisces New Moon
Tumblr media
Saturn and Neptune are close by to this lunation, and though Mars-Uranus is weighing in, Mars in particular is ultimately reporting to Saturn's broader plan. As Neptune and Saturn approach their conjunction, we'll seek escapism and the imaginal as a respite for our fatigue. We need to step out from being immersed in these waters. Mercury conjoined Neptune on the 8th before he left Pisces, leaving the imprint of confused or empathic communications in the air as the lunar cycle resets for the month.
March 11th/12th - Venus enters Pisces From here she builds up to a conjunction with Saturn at 11° on the 21st. As the sign of her exaltation, she's better able to bring harmony and reconciliation in our relationships, though Saturn brings a cool distance to our relationships. She'll conjoin Neptune in this sign next month. We may also see some kind of artwork that resonates with people on a deep emotional level.
March 17th - Sun conjoins Neptune, Electional chart
Tumblr media
At around 1PM local time, this chart has Cancer rising with a dignified Moon in Cancer, applying to a trine with Venus at 7Pisces and sextile with Jupiter in Taurus in the 11th house. This chart occurs before things go crazy later in the month and is the best time to start something new. It's especially good for friends, groups and alliances and doing new things outside of the box.
March 18th - Mercury enters shadow (not pictured) Mercury hits 15Aries, the point he'll retrograde back to, at the same time as he conjoins the North Node. This is a precursor of things that will occur in April.
March 19th/20th - Sun enters Aries This puts the Sun in the same time as the Node that will eclipse it.
March 21st - Venus conjoins Saturn Saturn and Venus bring a sort of melancholy beauty to things. Though we may see them at odds for signifying discipline and love respectively, Saturn does exalt in Venus's sign of Libra. In the sign of Pisces empathy is especially relevant--think understanding each other's feelings because we've suffered the same things. Nostalgia is another important keyword.
March 22nd - Mars enters Pisces This puts him on track to contact to Saturn (exact cojunction c. April 10th)--a dangerous combination. Along with the Sun in Aries and Mercury slowing, this represents the event horizon of major developments for the rest of the month and early April. This will be the first Mars-Saturn conjunction in Pisces; note the Aquarius conjunctions in 2020 and later years coincided with the COVID lockdown(s). Sea lane transit will likely slam on the brakes as well, and current maritime conflicts will see big developments. More figuratively we may ask "where are we going, and what dangers lie ahead?"
March 25th - Libra Lunar Eclipse
Tumblr media
For about a week things have been building up to this eclipse. Its twin will be visible across much of the United States in early April, meanwhile a comet will start to be visible in the night sky. Mars in Pisces copresent Saturn weighs heavily on this eclipse. The pace of events starts moving quickly and chaotically around eclipse season, and things start to move rapidly up or down, especially for prominent people & companies. This eclipse represents a culmination or next chapter of events started in October--major beginnings and major endings (in the Libra house of your chart for individuals). The picture may begin to get clearer. It's not the last installment, but things are clearly underway. Unfortunately this does not bode well for ongoing global conflicts. We can't see clearly with the eclipse, meanwhile Mercury is slowing down about to station retrograde, while right on the North Node. Combined with dangerous Mars-Saturn, it's a bit of a crazy situation. Jupiter's approach to a conjunction with Uranus indicates some surprising, amazing wins, and some people will find unexpected good fortune once the smoke clears. However, not everyone will be able to count on winning the Jupiter lottery here. (Later in April, when Jupiter conjoins Uranus exactly we can expect some kind of freedom and liberation).
The two weeks between these eclipses will be very active, dramatic, and chaotic, with beginnings and endings galore. In the Indian astrology dasha timing technique, the US Sibly chart has been in a time period ruled by Rahu (north node) since the early 2010s, making any eclipses visible in that country especially important to it. This is a time to be flexible!

incoming rant: the robotification of women
teri baaton mein aisa uljha jiya (2024) is among the latest movies in the genre of science fiction romance. it reminded me of an old itv show bahu hamari rajnikant (2016) , while i wasn't an avid watcher of the latter, i knew of it's existence. why did it remind of that particular sitcom? well, mainly because of the comedy. but it also reminded me of similar themes in english movies like ex machina (2015), wifelike (2022), archive (2020) and her (2013), which is surely a bit far fetched considering that in her, the ai never had a body. only a voice.
here, i think it's impertinent to also acknowledge male robots in indian cinema, like chitti from robot/enthiran (2010) and g.one from ra.one (2011) even though he wasn't an actual robot? i don't know if he classifies as one. so let's say, non-human, programming-based male entity (nhpbme). similar to samantha in her, a non-human, programming-based female entity (nhpbfe).
so yes, while male robots and nhpbme do exist in the sci-fi romance genre, it's the comparatively larger robotification of women that feeds the male gaze, and the patriarchy by an extention— which is ultimately problematic.
coming to the movie that i actually want to discuss, kriti sanon's sifra, in tbmauj, is the perfect lover, perfect bahu. why? she knows everything aaru (shahid kapoor) likes and wants. she has no chik-chik or tantrums like other girls. she can make cuisines from all around the world, can access everything on the internet quickly. she has perfect skin, perfect hair. probably doesn't age too. she is the dream girl of a typical man. she doesn't have her own opinions or problems, she serves him and him alone. no family of hers to care about, she can care about his family and their needs. the female gendering here acts like objectification.
the worst part of this movie was that it didn't do anything? since it was a comedy, it didn't delve deeper into the nuances of increasing technological reliance that humans have. i think it was probably meant as a warning— when sifra malfunctions and starts executing tasks that were deleted. but even at that, it fails because urmila's (dimple kapadia) company (so intelligently named) e-robots/robotex (something stupid like that), ends up launching her along with few other robots. only adds a dialogue which meant that you need to handle these robots responsibly. then, what was the point of all the testing they tried to do? placing her in different environments like india, when they don't really end up rethinking the whole idea or putting in more safety features? of course, there's no deeper meaning here. indian comedies don't really have subtext.
but it's perpetuates the same old concept of subservient women. rule-followers and caregivers. an image etched in stone. why do women ask– what do men want? men want this, an ideal version. have always wanted. fuelled by the unrealistic p*rn depictions. do they ever think what women want? aaru so casually tells off his friend who has a wife to look at how pathetic his own life is. he defends sifra's un-emotional response to a situation by attacking his friend's relationship asking if human women are any better?
it reminded me of wifelike (2022) where female robots are curated according to a person's need, a replication of their dead spouse. to love them, to serve them, to help them come out of grief. it's so funny to me how in tbmauj, sifra is shown to retain her feelings, getting jealous when aaru interacts with another woman despite getting reprogrammed; compared to how in wifelike, the robotic version of the human it was based on, always ended up leaving the husband because the human version never loved him.
isn't it interesting how female robots instantly get sexualised, and are depicted doing things that one would never ask their girlfriend or wife to do? these robots happily perform roles that are stereotypically feminine, wife-like. they're invented to put aside their feelings (if they have them) to take care of their human partners'. sifra cooks perfect food, emphasized by how many time aaru fired his maid for not cooking things the way he likes it. she probably doesn't have mood swings from periods because she's a robot. she doesn't eat, doesn't get out of shape. and most importantly, she doesn't age (cue: i'll get old but your lovers stay my age). as if the expectations from women aren't enough, that they're required to age gracefully, or best option— not age at all.
if you still don't get it, let me remind you how siri and alexa also end up on the same side of gender spectrum— female.
so the message is, guys, don't give up on your dream girl! you'll surely find a robot that satisfies all your needs! 🙄
men want perfect women, but women can't be robots. let's stop perpetuating the same image and setting unrealistic standards. real humans have real problems, deal with them.

Fic: First Day
Donna Noble embarks on her first day at UNIT, 10 weeks after we left her at the end of The Giggle.
Donna had opted to use the tube for her first day. Did UNIT Tower have an underground carpark? She made a mental note to ask someone. If she was going to be saving the planet every week, she felt she deserved a commute that didn’t involve standing with her face in someone’s armpit.
Maybe she could have her own personal driver- no, that would be pushing it. She could still barely believe she’d talked her way into a £120k a year job when this time last year she was doing admin on a fixed term contract for a recruitment company which made them all fork out for their own Christmas party. Now she was a permanent employee of an international organisation defending the Earth!
She had taken a while to agree on a start date - first of all her house had been demolished in an alien skirmish, so she felt like she needed to be settled in her new home before embracing her new role as Consultant Advisor under Kate Stewart. She did feel slightly nervous about the responsibility awaiting her, but she had done so much already that surely the only difference was now she was being financially compensated for her efforts. She had been sent a welcome pack in the post, containing her contract for signing and the company handbook that had some old country house emblazoned on the cover. Very National Trust, apart from the almost comical wooden sign reading ‘Ministry of Defence. U.N.I.T. Headquarters. KEEP OUT.’. Clearly they needed to update their marketing materials, now they sit at the top of a swish skyscraper in central London, complete with a helipad, and according to Shirley, the best coffee machine this side of the Milky Way.
The house had been quiet as she left that morning. Shaun was dead to the world after a late night taxi shift, and Sylvia had taken Wilf to visit Minnie. The Doctor, having made himself a resident of her back garden, had recently begun reaching out to old friends, now that he had an address to visit. She was charmed to meet Ace, bemused by the robot dog trundling alongside her, and Tegan made her hoot with laughter when she gave the Doctor a dressing down for saying she used to complain a lot. Jo Jones had embraced her so enthusiastically that she knocked her mother’s favourite vase off a table (thank God, it looked hideous), and she’d been overjoyed to host a raucous wine night when Martha finally found out about her getting her memories back and rushed round with a bag of clinking bottles to make up for lost time.
This morning there was a square patch on the grass which the TARDIS had vacated the previous day, as the Doctor had decided to pay a visit to an elderly couple named Ben and Polly in India, and a time space machine is less hassle than Heathrow. Rose had begged to go too but Donna had reminded her that she had mocks soon, and last time she’d gone on a daytrip with the Doctor she’d missed a week of school as they’d ended up in Ancient Athens, returning with their tails between their legs. As consolation, she let Rose stay overnight with another girl from school to revise for their exams. She was doing her A Levels but was disengaged outside of Art and Design. Maybe UNIT had a work experience program? Not out in the field of course, she didn’t want to encourage that; maybe they needed a new logo designing, or a rethink on their uniforms. She could see Rose sketching out a new look for the troops, the current all black look didn’t compare to the chic red berets she remembered from the ATMOS factory. Although knowing Rose’s taste they’d end up all furry with googly eyes on their helmets and pipe cleaners and pom poms on their chests. Maybe not, then.
Walking through the automatic shining glass doors stamped with the organisation’s insignia, Donna’s stomach threatened to do backflips. She refused to let misplaced imposter syndrome spoil this for her. She’d saved the universe, every universe, for crying out loud. If she could survive being locked in with rabid Ood, sneak through a Sontaran battleship undetected, deduct that a generations-long war had only lasted a week, and outthink the Not-things, she was ready for whatever life working for UNIT could throw at her.
“Hello, darling!”, a voice sang out, and Donna looked across the reception area and saw a familiar mane of red hair. “I came down to meet you!” beamed Mel.
“You’ve not come to let me down gently then?” Donna laughed, still slightly nervous, but the butterflies inside her calming in the presence of her friend.
“Don’t be ridiculous, come on, let's get you set up upstairs.”, Mel said, whisking her briskly to the lifts, waving to the receptionist to let them through the security barriers. “There’s so much to do! We need to get your photo ID pass sorted, your hair looks gorgeous by the way, and - oh you’ve arrived just in time, our Shadow Proclamation liaison is off sick and we’ve had communication last night from the Judoon that they need jurisdiction to arrest a minor royal for trafficking Graskes - complete crisis. Kate’s on it but needs support arranging rendition.”
“Judoon? Space Rhinos, yoyo velcro tesco fomo; we’re already acquainted.” Donna replied as the doors slid open with a soft ‘ding’. “Let me at ‘em”.

Hamas didn’t invade Israel on Oct. 7 for its amusement. The barbaric sneak attack is a part of the pogrom intended to wipe out the Jewish state. It was a crime against humanity, and not just because of its savagery. We would all be worse off if Israel ceased to exist. The same cannot be said for Islamic terrorists.
Israel’s contributions to the modern world are momentous. When not dodging bullets, rockets, and homicide bombers, Israelis have since 1948 developed:
Copaxone and Rebif, drugs that treat multiple sclerosis, and Exelon, which treats mild to moderate dementia in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s patients.
The PillCam, “a minimally invasive ingestible camera in a capsule that allows visualization of the small bowel.”
The water desalination process.
The Sniffphone, “that can actually ‘sniff out’ diseases.”
And SpineAssist, “the first-ever spine robot” that has the “ability to provide real-time intraoperative navigation.”
The Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel, responsible for some of the inventions listed above, has also produced diabetes and flu vaccines, is using T-cells to treat damaged spines, and is a pioneer in industrial — and medical — uses nano materials.
Other impactful Israeli products include drip irrigation, a revolutionary microprocessor called the 8088, the NIR heart stent, voice-over-internet protocol, the USB flash drive, the Waze navigation app, ReWalk, “a commercial bionic walking assistance system,” and “the first commercially viable firewall software.”
Our own security has benefited from Israel’s labor and work ethic.
“Many Israeli innovations are present in upgrades to U.S. Air Force fighters and Army equipment,” says the international law firm Smith, Gambrell & Russell. One important advance in particular is the helmet-mounted display system for the new F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.
So we have a country of 9.23 million, mostly desert, that is only 75 years old, is “surrounded by enemies” and in a constant state of war, which has “no natural resources,” yet “produces more start-up companies on a per capita basis than large, peaceful, and stable nations and regions like Japan, China, India, Korea, Canada, and all of Europe.” It is the only nation outside of the U.S. that Warren Buffet invests in.
Have the Palestinians or Hamas, currently at war with Israel, done anything that compares to what the Israelis have achieved? More broadly, beyond the Allahista terrorist groups, what has Islam contributed to the modern world?
Not much.
Since 1901, Jews, who total 0.2% of the world’s population, have won 189 Nobel prizes for physics, medicine, chemistry and economics. Over that same period, Muslims, who make up nearly a quarter of the global population, have won four.
If it seems as Islamic groups, Hamas and Hezbollah prominent among them, are more interested in spreading nihilism, committing atrocities, and destroying civilization than making the world a better place, well, then there’s a good reason for it. That is exactly what the heroes of an increasingly large number foolish Westerners are aiming for.
Meanwhile, Israelis see themselves “as having a role in the world to repair the world,” says Chemi Peres, managing partner and co-founder of the venture capital firm Pitango, chairman of the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation, and son of the late Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres.
“We call it tikkun olam, and here at the Peres Center we have a mission statement, which is to introduce innovation and new ideas and new technologies, not only for ourselves but to solve the problems of the world.”
Islam is part of that world, but too many of its adherents live to do just the opposite.

Theatrical animated movies or movies utilizing classic-style Disney character animation and artwork, movies not made at Disney Animation or Pixar... CONTINUED!
In the last part, we left off at the 2006 release of THE WILD. That strange film marked the end of a very brief attempt by Disney to soldier on with CGI movies should they have lost Pixar, as Disney Animation was going to make around one computer-animated film for release every calendar year. THE WILD, along with the English movie VALIANT, were the only two pictures to come out of this plan. Disney eventually ousted CEO Michael Eisner, successor Bob Iger sought to repair the broken bridge with Pixar... So, those kinds of CGI movies were out...
By fall 2006, Miramax gives the French-Luxembourgian/UK co-production PARIS 2054: RENAISSANCE a limited theatrical release here in the states, shortening the title to just RENAISSANCE. This would be the last Miramax release of an animated movie under Disney.
Before I go on, I'll make a special mention of some Disneytoon movies getting international-only theatrical releases. Such as BAMBI II, which was straight to video here in the states. Those, and a Chinese hybrid picture that Disney worked on but didn't theatrically release here, 2007's THE SECRET OF THE MAGIC GOURD.
Otherwise, we'll be focusing on domestic releases...
Disney still invested in other kinds of animated features, even with Pixar now a part of the company...
At the beginning of 2007, Disney strikes a deal with Robert Zemeckis and his ImageMovers studio, to create performance-capture CGI movies not dissimilar to his THE POLAR EXPRESS that came out in 2004, and also BEOWULF, which was opening later that year. Around the same time as our next subject... a live-action picture utilizing plenty of animation and animated Disney-style characters. I'm sure you've heard of it, ENCHANTED? The animation was done by former Disney animator James Baxter at his own studio in Pasadena, and the film was directed by A GOOFY MOVIE and TARZAN director Kevin Lima. Still, it did not involve Walt Disney Animation Studios.
In 2008, Disney handled the North American distribution of an animated Bollywood musical called ROADSIDE ROMEO, even going as far as handling distribution in India and the UK. Lasting only a few weeks in around 29 theaters, it made around half of $100k domestically... I'd imagine even the most minutiae-seeking of Disney enthusiasts have forgotten about it.
2009... We get a new Ghibli dub release from Disney, the then-recent Hayao Miyazaki endeavor PONYO... And we also saw the first of the Disney-ImageMovers collaborations, A CHRISTMAS CAROL. An all mocap retelling, with Jim Carrey as Scrooge. The costly endeavor didn't really make its money back, but apparently Disney were pleased with it enough to give the go-head to the next ImageMovers mocap movie. It wasn't the CALLING ALL ROBOTS project planned in 2008, but instead an adaptation of Berkeley Breathed's MARS NEEDS MOMS.
2010 brings another Ghibli title to theaters, Goro Miyazaki's TALES FROM EARTHSEA (an already four-year old film at this point). Briefly. This same year, Disney sells Miramax, including the distribution rights to the majority of the movies they released... But they kept an animated feature that was originally meant to be released by them: An Elton John pet project called GNOMEO & JULIET. Optioned by former Disney film chairman Dick Cook in around 2006, this production - initiated by John's Rocket Pictures - was largely handled by Starz Animation.
Disney decided to take this G-rated musical that they had little use for, and release it - unusually - as a Touchstone movie in February 2011. Touchstone by this point was still running, being fueled by a deal the studio had struck with DreamWorks SKG (the live-action studio, of course), but we were entering the twilight years of that label. GNOMEO & JULIET, surprisingly, did quite well. A lower-budget endeavor that managed to do better than the Disney Animation release that year - the thrown-out WINNIE THE POOH. Despite the film's success, Disney didn't keep it. The sequel, SHERLOCK GNOMES, would be released by Paramount 7 years later.
One month after SHERLOCK GNOMES, MARS NEEDS MOMS opens, and becomes an infamous box office bomb and critical disaster. ImageMovers and Disney's little picture deal is done-zo, one of the films that was part of the deal was a mocap remake of YELLOW SUBMARINE that got quite far. It would've released in the summer of 2012 had MARS NEEDS MOMS not self-destructed.
Ghibli comes to North American theaters again in February 2012, Disney gives their 2010 Hayao Miyazaki-written film THE SECRET WORLD OF ARRIETTY a release. Later in the year, a stop-motion film from Tim Burton - through his simply-named Tim Burton Productions, as we're a loooong way from Skellington Productions - opens: FRANKENWEENIE, in October. It doesn't make its money back theatrically, but the black-and-white melange of sci-fi and horror staples does get nominated at the Oscars for Best Animated Feature - losing to Pixar's BRAVE, so a win for Disney either way.
This same year, Disney gives a very limited run to an Indian animated film called ARJUN: THE WARRIOR PRINCE. Much like the MAGIC GOURD movie, they had some role in the film's production. The run for the sake of it being eligible for Oscar nomination, otherwise, this one really slipped through the cracks, and apparently almost got a sequel.
Curiously, upon Disney's historic acquisition of Lucasfilm in October 2012, there was a picture that they had to release. Lucasfilm's animation studio had been working on a fantasy musical for quite some time, and that was to be the first Lucasfilm picture to be distributed by Disney... NOT a STAR WARS movie! But for a while, no one seemed to really know what it was, other than the fact that sound designer/Pixar veteran Gary Rydstrom was directing it.
In an unexpected move, Disney ups a Disneytoon picture to theatrical status, even though we're firmly into the era of John Lasseter-Ed Catmull, where those former Pixar heads ran Disney Animation and Disneytoon Studio. Lasseter had put the kibosh on the 2D sequels to the classic Disney animated films, but TINKER BELL managed to get made and spawn some sequels (these played theatrically in various international territories). Then, the studio starts making spin-off films based on Pixar's CARS films... PLANES, originally intended as a direct-to-video film, is rerouted to a theatrical release which occurs in August 2013. The movie does pretty well, financially, as the sequel is all locked and ready to go for summer 2014.
Towards the end of 2013, Disney held limited engagements for Hayao Miyazaki's THE WIND RISES, so it could get nominated for the Best Animated Feature Oscar... And it did, but it lost to Disney Animation's FROZEN. The release of THE WIND RISES was under the Touchstone banner, and it went into wider release in February 2014. This marks the end of Disney's theatrical releasing of Studio Ghibli movies, that all eventually migrates to GKIDS.
In July 2014, PLANES: FIRE AND RESCUE makes some money, but not enough for Disney bean counters to be pleased. The plans for future movies seem to be on hold.
Starting off 2015 was the mystery Lucasfilm Animation project... STRANGE MAGIC... Which Disney unveils out of nowhere and showing a real lack confidence, releasing the film at the end of January with incomprehensible marketing. The movie unsurprisingly bombed.
December 2017... Disney begins their acquisition of 21st Century Fox film and TV assets... Meaning... Owning 20th Century Fox, Fox Searchlight Pictures, and... Well... Any and all animated movies owned by Fox or being made by Fox... Their flagship animation studio: Blue Sky Studios. ICE AGE, RIO, FERDINAND, ya know? The acquisition won't complete for a little while, though, but it's set in stone... Whatever Blue Sky is working on, whatever's cooking elsewhere at Fox should it all survive, it's being released by Disney.
(Disney cancelled a ton of animated movies Fox was developing by the end of 2017, an arm's long list. Wes Ball's MOUSE GUARD movie among them.)
Everything from June 2015 to November 2018 was only from either Disney Animation or Pixar, except ONE movie... The remake of THE JUNGLE BOOK from spring 2016, which is an almost entirely-CG movie (albeit, photorealistic) save for the real-life actor portraying Mowgli. The movie made nearly a billion worldwide, but has yet to spawn a sequel. Director Jon Favreau decided to use similar technology for a LION KING remake.
Disneytoon had teased a new CARS spin-off at the 2017 D23 Expo involving spacecraft titled BEYOND THE SKY, and they had many more in the works... But upon John Lasseter's much-publicized exit from the company over sexual harassment, Disneytoon Studios was shut down in June 2018. The CARS spacecraft movie, which was aimed for a spring 2019 release, got knocked into a black hole.
At the end of 2018 comes a MARY POPPINS sequel, MARY POPPINS RETURNS. The film utilizes a significant amount of 2D animation done at the Duncan Studio.
July 2019 is when Favreau's photorealistic LION KING remake opens, which sparks considerable debate on what it should be considered. Either way, the film becomes the highest-grossing animated movie of all time, a record it would hold for almost five years.
The acquisition of Fox is complete by this time, Disney theatrically releases the Blue Sky film SPIES IN DISGUISE - which had been delayed a few times and reworked - in Christmas of 2019... To not-great box office, but they intend to keep Blue Sky around, as their next movie NIMONA is in the works.
Because of COVID-19's outbreak at the beginning of 2020, Pixar's ONWARD was the only film Disney released theatrically that year. Many other WDAS, Pixar, and Fox/Blue Sky movies see numerous delays, or go straight to Disney+ instead. SOUL, intended for a summer 2020 theatrical debut, ended up debuting on the then-new service by Christmas.
In February 2021, Disney shut down Blue Sky Studios, shocking the animation industry. Their future pictures are all cancelled, save for the in-production NIMONA, a picture they offload to someone else. That someone else eventually being Annapurna Pictures, who finish the movie and allow the filmmakers to make it the movie they fought to make when it was under the Disney name. (Read: An explicitly queer film, based on an equally queer graphic novel created by a trans man.) Their NIMONA is released by Netflix in June 2023 and gets nominated for Best Animated Feature. A real case of "the one that got away". (More like, threw out. Didn't know what they had.)
With vaccines slowly rolling out and the worst months in the rearview mirror, Disney tries some unlikely theatrical rollouts of their animated films. The 20th Century Studios movies, contractually, have to be theatrically released, so they'll keep getting delays instead of Disney+/Hulu-only releases. While the mainline titles either go straight to Disney+ (LUCA, TURNING RED), or have some sort of hybrid release (RAYA AND THE LAST DRAGON).
This results in the muted October 2021 release of RON'S GONE WRONG, a picture made by Locksmith Animation, and the only film from them that Fox/20th Century Studios had the distribution rights to. All the other pictures went elsewhere, their second film THAT CHRISTMAS went to Netflix after a brief run through Warner Bros., their following movies BAD FAIRIES and THE LUNAR CHRONICLES are currently set to be Warner releases. (We'll see how that goes!)
THE BOB'S BURGERS MOVIE is released theatrically by Disney in May 2022, their first distributing of an animated movie based on a Fox show. Surprisingly that, and not a SIMPSONS MOVIE sequel nor a FAMILY GUY movie. The film was in the works before the acquisition, and was aiming for a spring 2020 debut before Disney pulled it from the schedule, briefly causing concern on whether it was still happening or not. COVID then cut into the production, and resulted in more delays, the movie ended up not doing great at the box office anyways.
2023 goes by without a non-WDAS/non-Pixar animated movie release from Disney. 2024 gives us the prequel/sequel to the photoreal LION KING remake, MUFASA. The movie is a leggy sleeper hit.
So, on the horizon... Outside of the WDAS and Pixar films...
Now that Disneytoon has long been gone, and that 20th Century and Searchlight have long been under the Disney roof...
Well, there's only one non-WDAS/Pixar animated movie coming from the Mouse House... And that's ICE AGE 6, the first theatrical film in the series not being made by Blue Sky. Currently penciled in for December of next year, it's likely moving because SHREK 5 now landed on that date. Whenever it may come out, it's in production, it's a thing, the cast is back...
Oh wait, there's something else... Disney's handling the North American theatrical release of the BLUEY movie, which makes sense given the stake they have in that Australian preschooler cartoon and how much of a monster it is on Disney+. That's releasing some time in 2027.
So... Two franchise movies, unsurprisingly. ICE AGE 6 and the BLUEY movie.
I don't think 20th Century or Searchlight are really going to do any non-sequel/TV-based animation for theaters, though we could be surprised one day. It'd be interesting if they did, and how 20th Century will position theirs as alternatives to the Disney-branded ones. They didn't really put much muscle into SPIES IN DISGUISE and kinda just buried it, and it'd be a different story if the films in question are for adults (which would possibly be a goldmine for Disney/20th Century if they bothered to tap into that).
For now, I think 20th Century Studios' animation future will only be in ICE AGE movies (the parts that they mined Blue Sky for, before shuttering) and TV show-based pictures. SIMPSONS MOVIE 2 and a FAMILY GUY movie are things I see happening eventually, so, those will fit the ticket. 20th Century has opted to release Dan Trachtenberg's animated PREDATOR anthology KILLER OF KILLERS to Hulu only, while his live-action PREDATOR film BADLANDS opens theatrically later this year. That sits in a similar boat as those animated DIARY OF A WIMPY KID movies and NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: KAMUNRAH RISES AGAIN, which were - in live-action form - Fox movie franchises, but were Disney-branded in animation.
Sooo... Yeah... Even though Disney owns a crap-ton of studios... Their theatrical animation output will seemingly be limited to Disney Animation and Pixar 95% of the time, with an occasional ICE AGE 6 or BLUEY movie. No plans, as of now it seems, for Marvel Studios animated movies or even any STAR WARS animated features. Lucasfilm making a new, not-STAR WARS animated movie? Nah, they won't even do a live-action one at that. Where that all goes, I do not know... But it's a night and day difference from the animated output of theirs in the '90s and '00s.

IT companies in Coimbatore :Hiring freshers role and benefit

How Museum Design Firms Enhance Visitor Interaction Experience
Museum design firms play a crucial role in enhancing the visitor interaction experience, breathing new life into the way people engage with art, history, and cultural exhibits. Armed with visionary ideas and cutting-edge technologies, these companies are transforming traditional museum experiences into awe-inspiring journeys of discovery.
Harnessing the power of interactive displays and installations, museum exhibit design companies have shattered the barriers of passive observation. Through touchscreens, gesture recognition, and augmented reality (AR), visitors now actively engage with exhibits, unraveling hidden layers and unlocking a world of knowledge at their fingertips.
No longer confined to static artifacts, they can delve deeper, zooming in on intricate details, accessing additional information, and even stimulating virtual objects, making personal connections with the subject matter like never before.
Implementing Advanced Techniques to Enhance Visitor Experience
Furthermore, the best museum design companies, such as Tagbin, focus on creating dynamic and multisensory environments. They employ techniques such as lighting, sound design, and spatial arrangements to evoke emotional responses and heighten the overall visitor experience. From carefully designed lighting that accentuates artworks to immersive audiovisual installations that transport visitors to different eras, these elements contribute to a more engaging and memorable visit.
In their quest for inclusivity, museum design firms leverage technology to break down barriers. They integrate features such as audio guides, sign language interpretation, and tactile exhibits to cater to diverse audiences, including those with visual or hearing impairments. By providing multiple entry points and accommodating different learning styles, these companies ensure that all visitors can actively participate and connect with the exhibits.
How is Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya a Perfect Example of a Visitor-centric Museum?
The Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, designed and executed by Tagbin, one of the best museum design companies in Delhi, stands as a shining example of a visitor-centric museum, redefining the way visitors engage with exhibits and creating a truly immersive experience. This museum has employed a range of techniques and technologies that place visitors at the heart of the museum, allowing them to actively participate, play, and learn.

Whether it's the use of lighting, sound, visual displays, or interactive elements, the goal is to elicit emotional responses that resonate with visitors, triggering curiosity, awe, empathy, or joy.
Final Words
Well, there is certainly no denying that museum exhibit design companies are the catalysts behind a revolution in visitor interaction. With their unwavering commitment to pushing boundaries and their relentless pursuit of innovation, they have paved the way for unforgettable museum experiences that inspire, educate, and leave an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of all who enter their transformative realms.

No, this isn't what is happening.
Elon and Trump are both owned by Putin. Putin is Russia's leader and is part of BRICS. BRICS wants to come out with a currency that is gold backed, oil backed, and other mineral backed. We are already in WW3 over these minerals around the entire world, along with spaces that will be more habitable for upcoming climate change.
BRICS countries want as much of each of these resources as they can get before the currency is released. And they also need to collapse USD and western wealth, partially to mess with oil trades and partially to weaken the trading power of the entire west.
Tesla ($TSLA) valuation has always been artifical bc it's how Elon gets paid and eventually a wealth transfer will happen back. Elon and foreign governments including Saudi Arabia have been inflating his stock. He then can take loans out against the stock that are very low interest rate, while the stock (theoretically) appreciates at a much greater rate than the loan interest - always coming out ahead. Either way, the inflation of the stock by pseudo investors and the later loan are essentially him money laundering bribes.
Likewise, as a real estate guy, Trump can put loans on properties he owns - but I will say Trump did just make several billion in his Trump crypto coin, and yes, crypto is part of this. Have you ever read about how art is sometimes used for money laundering? Well, guess what, real estate in the US is the same (and that's also why so many sex workers are real estate agents - they are getting paid for their sex work but it's getting labeled as their real estate agent fees). Thus, US housing price is inflated by criminal activity. And they will collapse the housing market with the federal grant freeze alone.
They are also messing with the bonds system by infiltrating the treasury (almost certainly a main goal).
And when they are done, our assets (including all the gold and oil in Alaska, Canada, Greenland, California, etc) will belong to BRICS. And our leaders are too scared to admit this to the public.
Trump will be trafficking humans and drugs all over the world for money as well. He most recently got some shipping containers for human trafficking. The people will be used for slave labor or perhaps parts. Anyone declared a criminal or 'illegal immigrant' can be sent. Likely he will allow other countries to carry out the death penalty and he has already expanded the death penalty to be compulsory in some cases, namely, if you murder a police officer (doesn't exclude K9 units or robots); or if you committed any crime where the death penalty is available AND you're a migrant.
He needs foreign governments to help scramble the records of where people are ending up. Don't forget, Assad went to Russia too, and Assad ran some of the most sophisticated and massive death camps in modern times. And again, Russia owns Trump. They are all in it together to take down the west.
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trump-floats-foreign-imprisonment-us-criminals-repeat-offenders-rcna189522
https://www.nbcnews.com/investigations/incoming-trump-administration-plans-deport-migrants-countries-rcna182896
https://www.semafor.com/article/02/06/2025/trump-administration-container-company-to-provide-temporary-migrant-housing
What will happen next with Israel will be... I mean no one knows ig. BRICS, especially India, Russia, Iran, will use Israel to further their own causes. Then they will backstab them. Egypt is also part of BRICS and is notably where Trump wants to send Gazans (and who will be checking to make sure they aren't being trafficked?).
Australia is also in some danger due to their gold, my guess is likely from China but who knows.
We're all rightfully upset about the fascism, but also I think it looks like the B Story here is that Musk and Trump are both materially broke.
Unless they liquidate assets that would cost them power and control, which obviously they don't want to do. So instead they're staging a heist on the US Treasury and trying to redirect our tax dollars into their own businesses.
This feels like the plotline to a South Park episode and I mean that extremely derogatorily.

Mechanical Engineering Startups in India You Should Know About
Tumblr media
When we think of startups in India, software and app-based companies usually grab all the attention. But quietly and steadily, mechanical engineering startups have been making a mark too. These companies aren’t just building products—they’re solving real-world industrial problems using solid engineering knowledge.
If you're a mechanical engineering student or graduate, it's important to know about these ventures. Not just to stay informed, but to understand where your skills might be useful beyond the classroom.
Let’s take a look at some notable mechanical engineering startups in India that are changing the way industries work—whether it’s through manufacturing innovation, automation, or clean energy solutions.
1. Ethereal Machines
Based in Bengaluru, Ethereal Machines is known for its 5-axis CNC machines. These machines allow for complex and highly accurate manufacturing, especially in industries like aerospace and healthcare. Their innovation lies in making these advanced machines more accessible and affordable to Indian manufacturers. Ethereal Machines even got recognized internationally at CES in Las Vegas, which says a lot about the quality they bring.
2. Ather Energy
While it’s now becoming a well-known name, Ather started out as a mechanical engineering-driven startup focused on building smart electric scooters. Their work includes in-house development of battery packs, vehicle chassis, and even charging infrastructure. What’s impressive is their attention to design backed by core engineering. Ather has also helped open up the electric vehicle space to mechanical engineers in India, not just software developers.
3. Blackfrog Technologies
Headquartered in Manipal, Blackfrog Technologies focuses on cold-chain solutions. Their flagship product, Emvolio, is a battery-powered refrigeration device designed for transporting vaccines, blood, and medicines. It's especially useful in rural or hard-to-reach areas. This is a great example of how mechanical engineering and healthcare can come together to solve practical problems in the field.
4. Tork Motors
Tork is another electric vehicle startup, but this one is focused on high-performance electric motorcycles. What sets them apart is that their team has built everything from the motor to the powertrain using in-house engineering. Tork’s work shows how mechanical engineers can lead innovation in the mobility space, especially in areas that are shifting towards sustainability.
5. Genrobotics
Started by a group of young engineers in Kerala, Genrobotics is known for its robotic solution, Bandicoot. This robot helps clean manholes, replacing the need for manual scavenging. The design, control systems, and physical structure of the robot all stem from mechanical engineering. Their product is now being used in several Indian cities and even abroad.
6. Pragati Automation
This company specializes in precision machine tool accessories like turrets, CNC components, and other industrial automation systems. Founded in the late '70s but reinventing itself in the startup world, Pragati Automation bridges traditional mechanical engineering with modern manufacturing needs. They’ve become a go-to source for industries needing reliable Indian-made automation products.
Where Are These Founders Coming From?
What’s interesting is that many of the founders and team members behind these startups come from traditional engineering backgrounds. You’ll find alumni from IITs, NITs, and some of the best engineering colleges in Orissa working behind the scenes. It just shows that a strong base in core subjects can still open the door to modern tech-driven opportunities.
In fact, some of the most promising mechanical engineers I’ve seen lately have come from institutes like NMIET in Bhubaneswar. They are often exposed to real projects, industry training, and academic labs that simulate practical conditions. When your college environment supports hands-on learning, it naturally prepares you for startup thinking—whether or not you decide to start your own company.
Why You Should Pay Attention
Mechanical engineering is no longer limited to factory floors or drafting tables. With automation, sustainability, and smart technology gaining ground, mechanical startups now touch everything from medicine to public utilities to space research.
If you’re a student thinking about your future, take time to explore what these companies are doing. See if you can intern with them, work on a similar college project, or just understand the gaps they’re trying to fill. Who knows—you might spot a problem worth solving yourself.
Mechanical engineering might not always be in the spotlight, but it’s powering the silent force behind many of India’s rising industries. The scope is there—you just need to match your skills with what the world needs. And if you’re studying at one of the best engineering colleges in Orissa, use that network and learning environment to test out your own ideas. Building a career—or a company—starts with knowing what’s possible. These startups are living proof of that.
