Dann doch lieber nochmal "Night of the Living Dead", der viele Jahre zuvor politisch schon so viel bissiger war.

bob & makarov
disclaimer: this is obviously a headcanon, as we don’t get much in canon but “they used to be on a team together” and what not. this also includes events that i’ve spoke about at length with jana and azalia.
also, across all my blogs, zeref only attacked fiore and not the entire continent since he was only after the One Thing.
bob was friends with makarov when they were in fairy tail together. enough so that he didn’t mind being on a team with him. he often thought makarov was a bit impulsive --- but it was just another quirk of his. in bob’s mind, they were on equal terms in power and skill, just in different ways. over the years it became apparent that that thought was not so mutual, but bob didn’t let it bother him. he just put in a folder in his mind to think of. he became closer to rob, porlyusica and goldmine on their team as the years went on. makarov was still present for bob’s wedding to achal.
when master precht left and made makarov guild master, bob was stunned by these turns of events. makarov as an adult was still a lot like the makarov bob first met. he was impulsive and quick to shrug off Big Things. bob felt uncomfortable, but stayed. he had roots here by now and he still was quite close to porlyusica, rob and goldmine. he even didn’t mind yajima that much. and they were still on a team as makarov sat behind the desk.
when goldmine left in X739, it was not as much as surprise as it should have been for bob. it was after goldmine had gotten bedridden for doing something drastic which worried bob. in fact, he was a bit relieved when goldmine left because that could only mean his dear friend was less likely to pull something dangerous if he was away from someone he never liked being his boss. bob would miss his friend, but still, bob stayed. the robert collective lost a number, but bob knew he would see him again. so. he stayed for a while. he still had sica, rob and sometimes yajima.
what really made bob angered was makarov’s appointment to wizard saint. he had responsibilities to take care of: the guild, his family and yet all makarov focused on seemed on more fame. for what reason? bob has Ideas on that. but he watched as makarov blatant disrespected one of his closest friends by having wandering eyes and sometimes hands. it made bob angry.
it was an anger that turned into slow daunting horror. especially as bob watched as makarov handled any situation with his son, ivan. instead of trying to understand the boy, he seemed to ... just not try. with his own son!! and he’s supposed to be a leader of some sort. and then the fact that he called the guild family when he could barley be there for his own? hypocritical.
it was one thing to have a lot on one’s plate, but it was all things that makarov could have said no to. if he felt he was too busy with starting a family and being a guild master, he could have said no. if he thought he was too busy with his family and ‘family’ to accept the title wizard saint, he could have said no. but he dove right into those things and turned a blind eye. it left a sour taste in bob’s mouth.
in fact, it made him think. porlyusica, ivan and the council all had something in common. in a way, they gave makarov power and titles. and he didn’t seem to care much for them after they gave him some title. it showed a pattern to bob: the same people that gave him power, he continually disrespected which was just strange?? bob could see makarov craved power, but he also didn’t like when others had power over him. he just didn’t want to be held accountable.
and then -- makarov lowered the age limit in the guild. it was a stupid move in bob’s mind: being a mage is dangerous. quests are dangerous. people could die as adults, let alone as teenagers who are still quite young. bob couldn’t condone the situation for what it was, so in X741 he followed goldmine in leaving fairy tail to start his own guild. he only felt bad about leaving rob and sica behind.
in april of X742, Blue Pegasus is founded. in working with the council as well as other guild masters, mainly ooba who has been a guild master longer and sometimes his old dear friend goldmine, bob realized that being a guild master was hard work but something he could do.
then, as he became his own guild master and had his own guild environment and rules, he began to see how ... easy it was? to offer protections to mages and lead them on a not-so destructive path. though his guild was obviously different than any guild in fiore, he never endangered his members in any way.
the entire Event with Rob and the lack of response from makarov deserves it’s own headcanon. but mostly bob pulled as many resources as he could for finding and locating the missing rob for years. even though he didn’t have the title of WIZARD SAINT to easily pull it. and it wasn’t his own guild member that went missing. but it was one of his best friends. it was either pull his resources to do this or confront the fact that his husband, achal had died. this all happened the same year.
flash forward to karen’s death: bob did feel guilty. he tried to warn her, he really did. but she ultimately walked to her own death. he made the report to the council and they fined him for not forcing her to retire or stripping her of her blue pagasus badge and bob accepted the blemishes for what they were. he could have saved a lot of time and some money if he excommunicated her, but he did want to try and help her see reason and stripping her of status would have made her more dangerous to the spirits left to her as well as to herself.
and then a year after that incident: lisanna strauss died on an s-class mission. a child, who had no right to even BE on a dangerous mission died. and what happened? nothing. and why? because yajima was on the council and no one in magnolia saw anything past the tragedy. that only set the resentment deeper for bob. he placed notes in a folder and placed one copy of it in his desk.
when phantom lord happened, bob thought makarov would finally be arrested for having an ilegal war. but no. it didn’t happen. instead, an illegal war happened and somehow, makarov was deemed the hero. bob had several mimosas after hearing that. he then pondered who would win in a war between BP and FT. and if it was worth it.
when the nirvana mission came, bob mentally arranged his most strategic team. he put ichiya, whose parfum magic can be quite potent and useful. also rare and harder to fight against. and the trimens. eva, who was ont he route to be a rune knight. ren, who had significant talents and was something of a tutor under windsor, who bob trusted. and of course, bob’s own handpicked man, hibiki whose magic was both strategic and just downright useful for wide spread missions. he also gave them access to an old house he had as well as to the Christina. he thought long and hard about his team. ooba, who he trusts, gave them the aid of her top three mages: dynamic ice make mage lyon vastia, doll-play mage sherry blendy and wizard saint himself jura neekis.
and. who does makarov send? a rag tag group. not that team natsu isn’t powerful, but they have a long track record of recklessness that doesn’t sit well with bob when a mission rquires delicacy. and then when it was all said and done, hibiki was forced to confront trauma and eve and ren were tortured.
wonderful!!
bob was not so surprised when makarov came back from being dead, or that he ended up cheating in the grand magic games. at this point, bob was just tired of him. though he was pleasant enough in their face-to-face interactions as he should be, he just kept adding to his folder of makarov’s crimes.
when war eventually came to fiore, bob was incensed at the lack of forewarning fiore as a country had. but he lent his help, of course. not because of makarov asked but because he lived in fiore, too and would like to live a long life.
#secret keeper: hc#secret keeper: rp canon#this got LONG#but bob has a long list of disagreements with makarov at this point

Journal - Call For Entries: Tell a Story With an Architectural Drawing for a Shot at $2,500!
It’s time to get those pencils sharpened and those computer mice warmed up — the Second Annual One Drawing Challenge is officially open for entries! Submit your drawings before the Early Entry Deadline at midnight EST on Friday, July 17th.
Enter the 2020 One Drawing Challenge
youtube
Competition Brief
Thanks to social media, more people than ever now consume architecture every day through their feeds. However, their attention is fleeting — with millions of architectural ideas flowing across the web, each designer has just a brief moment to make an impact. This means one image or drawing needs to possess the power to tell a whole story on its own, in seconds. For any designer, producing a viral drawing might just kickstart their career.
So, the #OneDrawingChallenge is laid down: Can you create a single drawing that tells the story behind a complex piece of architecture?
Your task is as follows: Create one drawing that communicates a new architectural proposal or existing piece of architecture, and the experience of those that would inhabit it. It can be located anywhere in the world and be at any scale. It can take the form of a plan, section, elevation, perspective or sketch. As long as it portrays part or all of a building or group of buildings, it is eligible.
This should be accompanied by a short description of your proposal, no more than 150 words.
2019 entrants, clockwise from top left: “Between Possibilities and Limitations” by Ozair Mansoor (2019 Student Winner); “Plastic Britain” by Christian Coackley (Commended Entry); “The Machine: A Mechanical Mudlark” by Mandalika Justine Roberts (2019 Non-Student Winner); “All at Sea” by Amélie Savoie-Saumure, Pascale Julien and Matt Breton-Honeyman (Commended Entry)
Prizes and Recognition
In partnership with Escape Motions and Paintstorm, we are thrilled to announce that 2 Grand Prize winners (one student and one non-student) will receive the following prizes:
$2,500 cash prize
Leuchtturm1917 Notebook

Protest in Thüringen - In Döbeln und Grimma protestieren "Gruppen" gegen den Auftritt von Björn Höcke!? Angekarrte Linke!?

A!271 – Monokratie
Freitag, 16. Februar 2018, 12:00 Uhr
