OVERVIEW: "In 1981, Decca released the "Strength Through Oi!" music collection, featuring some of the most classic artists genres of the genre, such as 4-SKINS, COCK SPARRER and INFA-RIOT. The collection is curated by Bushell, who last year edited the – atypical – first part of the series, "Oi! the Album" for EMI. After a failed photo shoot on the cover of "Strength Through Oi!," Bushell decided to use the picture of a skinhead, from a skinhead X-mas card he had at home. When the image was enlarged to suit the print needs of the disc and sent to Bushell for formal inspection, he first observed the Nazi tattoos on the body of the illustrated skinhead. Two options came to the table to address this issue: to erase those controversial tattoos or to create another cover. In order to avoid delaying the album’s release, and considering it to be an innocent mistake, the first option was selected and the album was released in May 1981. "It was a monumentally, cataclysmically stupid decision," Bushell would later say.

Two months later, the Daily Mail reveals the identity of the skinhead. It was Nicky Crane, a notorious neo-Nazi, who was serving a prison sentence for a racist attack at that time. This led Decca to withdraw the disc from release. The combatant Crane on the cover of the collection was a very powerful graphic representation of the masculinity and violence that existed in Oi! scene, while this picture set a skinhead archetype. As Gavin Watson, a skinhead teenager at the time, recalls, children of his age believed that “That’s what a skinhead should look like”. Crane’s image was imprinted on t-shirts and posters. "He just fell into our living rooms. These little kids in High Wycombe – we didn’t know anything about the Nazi stuff.""

How would yall feel if staff introduced the ability to make custom/user made apparel

#flight rising #fr #like skins. but you dont have to keep dragon lineart n shadows. and can go out of bounds of the dragon #i think it sounds really fun in theory but a bit of a complicated mess in execution #amd would give staff a new challenge right after the skins were steamlined #id say custom apparel would need to be separate from real apparel but not sure how thatd effect layering #do you think itd be in pieces like. head. body. wings. arms. extras. etc #or would it be like skins n accents where 1 custom apparel could be a whole outfit and another “accent” option where itd be one or two items #idk. its fun to think on the potential. its a shame itd be a nightmare to implement realistically #oo what if only ancients could have custom apparel. thatd solve layering issues lol

my body doesn’t Hate me, per se. It just Loves being an annoying little shit

#my post #i feel a little bad about complaining about it sometimes #because it’s not like i have super serious afflictions #and we’ve gotten some handled through this or that #but. i’ve just got. such an extensive collection of #‘‘bodily things that would be fine individually albeit annoying; but i’ve got all of them so it makes for a frustrating existence’’#subacute eczema. the worst of the bunch. only on my hands but very itchy and still eczema #scapular winging or whatever they call it when you can pop out your scapulas at will.#not very bad at all. the least offensive. just aches sometimes and makes me worry #some tinnitus. a tad annoying. i hear it most when it’s quiet or i’m inside. sometimes it flares but not often. tuning it out isn’t too har #chronic rhinitis. i got some surgery(?) for this one. lotta nose sprays.#my nose is almost always congested and runny and going anywhere without tissues is dangerous.#dry lips. also not altogether that bad it’s just annoying and it gets cracked and sometimes painful to open my mouth too wide ig.#we manage that one well with whatever lip products my sister gave me. it’s not very bad #dandruff? maybe? is it dandruff or just scalp skin? i got no clue man #and you’re like. ‘‘okay you’re right those are all quite annoying. but is it really that bad?’’#and i’m like ‘‘No. but have you Considered that i have to deal with them all at Once?’’#BUT THAT.
