NO OKAY THIS IS MY BIGGEST ARGUMENT FOR CAMERON!!!

the other poets are his friends no matter how mean they could be to him, we see that in the first half of the movie. the school needs someone to blame...Cameron is 16/17 and angry about the death of a friend...has already been put a position closer to Nolan and therefore more susceptible to Nolan's manipulation...

and as much as it sucks, Keating could get a job elsewhere. being fired is a big deal for Keating sure, but he can eventually find other work.

this is the best education opportunity around for Cameron and the people he called his friends. I think this was his attempt to prevent them being expelled!

and anyway i think camerons speech about keating was more lashing out at the poets than genuine hatred for keating. because lets face it, they've been treating him horribly. and, its of my personal opinion that he was trying to protect the poets from expulsion - why else would he go back and try to give them advice? and it kinda works but what does he get for it? punched in the face and insulted even more. yeah, most people would be angry. on top of how theyve been treating him for the last three months at least, (but more likely several years)... sure the poets have the right to be mad at him, but he had the right to be mad at them, too.
