MEIN LAND (2011) Rammstein’s Made in Germany album featured one previously unreleased song: Mein Land. The music video for it was recorded while the band was touring, on one day in between shows in Las Vegas and Mexico City. «I don’t know if it was by accident that we wanted to shoot the video for the song Mein Land in California. Mein Land is a slightly misleading title for the song, because the word ‘my’ has such a possessive quality about it. But it's not meant that way. You also say ‘my family’ without implying that anyone belongs to you. At most, it's about belonging with someone else and that's basically what we mean in our song», Flake Lorenz wrote in the Mein Land photo book. The actual reason why the shoot took place at Sycamore Beach was that director Jonas Åkerlund lived close by. «It was practically an act of fate», said Paul Landers in the Making of. «He lives here and we just happen to be here.» For most of the band, the video shoot was awesome. «It’s the perfect situation. In the fresh air, looking at the sea. A load of pretty people, the director is good, the making-of-team is super. That makes it all 100% here!» said Oliver Riedel. «I’m sure every band dreams of doing that. A beach video with 40 girls. Everyone’s happy, dancing, and having a ball. Actually, that's not really us, but in the meantime we enjoy stuff like this», said Richard Kruspe. «I'll never forget this day! The best video shoot that I've ever had», said Christoph Schneider. Flake, on the other hand, was not happy about it. «With the girls, it's like back at school, when you had sport with the girls. It makes an embarrassing situation even more embarrassing. It was worse working out on the bars when the girls were watching you. I would have preferred shooting separately: we ours and the girls theirs.» While the video showed a totally different Rammstein than people were used to, Richard was not worried about that. «It breaks up our image somewhat, but we've done that in many of our videos, especially with Jonas. Just think of Pussy or Mann gegen Mann, for example. It gives it a kind of level that I personally like a lot.» ©Frédéric Batier

Well, I would be lying if I'd say that this thought hasn't crossed my mind at least once 👀

But honestly, this fandom is filled with people who have an insatiable thirst when it comes to Richard and are not afraid to show it (as you should 👌🏼). So the chances are high those asks have their origins within the fandom 😅

Plus Richard once mentioned in this interview that he tries to stay away from the internet at times. Of course this was back in 2010 and maybe he has mastered the ways of the internet by now and finds joy in it 😌 Even if Richard is somewhere around here, I'd hope he realises how much he's loved and cherished by the amazing community on here 🫶🏼 Probably lurking like this:
