you seem to only use the term half-blood when speaking about the army/rogues, is there a reason for that?
Of course there is, demigod is the most commonly used term, I'm aware, and while all demigods are half-bloods, not all half-bloods are demigods.
For example, Torrington himself doesn't exactly fit into the demigod box, while he may refer to himself as such on occasion. Demigod, while being the correct term to call him, isn't the only term that would apply to him. His mother is not only a goddess, but a titaness, making Torrington a demititan as well as a demigod.
Such things apply to the other half-bloods in our camp, children of deities like Lethe or Rhea wouldn't be demigods, as their mothers aren't goddess. Even most children of Eros or Aphrodite don't prefer the term demigod.

I haven't read the Trials of Apollo in a while (I never even finished the series), but Rhea was depicted as an old hippie lady, right? Well, only recently have I come to a realisation: Lily Tomlin would make a great Rhea. And I just thought it'd be nice to share this thought before I forget it.

The delicious, tragic irony of Percy, who looks exactly like Rhea, being both desired and loved by:
Luke Castellan. Kronos' right hand and host, sharing his ideals as well.
Jason Grace. Son of Zeus who's straight up Kronos' carbon copy.
And falling in love for both of them simultaneously.
One way or another, she's doomed to relive the past.

What do you think of the idea of a demigod child of Rhea? How would Mr D, Chiron and the campers react to them? Would their Olympian siblings acknowlegde them in any specific way or just be indifferent to them?
I have a headcanon that while Mr D, isn’t the biggest fan of demigods he’d have a soft-spot for the child of Rhea. Because she in some myths raised him, cured him of madness brought on by Hera and also joins him and his followers in their parties.
Love your blog so much btw❤️
Immediately everyone paused to stare at the demigod of Rhea. Not because the child of Rhea is anything wrong but it’s more so the fact that Rhea hasn’t been seen for a millennia by anyone aside from her direct 6 Olympian children maybe, so for her to go out and have a child with a mortal in that time is mind-boggling; almost unfathomable.
The appearance of the demigod of Rhea would be the few times and everyone’s waking realization that Mr.D’s behaviour and attitude to them was all a lie, when he breaks for the Rhea demigod because yeah, not only she cured him of the curse of madness by Hera, but also taught him in religious rites which helped solidify him as a god. So there’s a sense of responsibility to take care of this demigod but also it’s a child of Rhea. So who knows what’s going to happen; especially when he will technically be in charge of you.
It’s pretty hard for the Olympians to not notice the child of Rhea, especially the first 6 Major Olympians, that they have a new baby-sibling who is also a demigod. A squishy, half-mortal, half sibling. However, it’s very hard to criticize when the child of Rhea is basically just like her, which is very hard to argue against.
There would be questioning of who the mortal parent is, how they were worthy of Rhea’s attention. But the bar is low for whoever the mortal parent is cause clearly they didn’t eat the child as soon as they were born unlike Kronos. The most important thing to happen is that Zeus isn’t the youngest sibling. Which isn’t good, because Zeus despite being born the youngest, will probably not be happy losing his very, long, youngest sibling rank and all the attention it came with it, especially with how he defeated Kronos.
Especially if the child of Rhea is a boy.
Much to the glee of Poseidon and Hades, who is overjoyed but is hit with despair when he realizes he will have to see to his half-sibling when their time runs out.
If the child of Rhea is a girl, there’s less reaction from Zeus but he will still not be happy. In return, Hestia and Demeter just cooing and coddling their youngest sibling and I think Hera might actually enjoy being an older sister; that is still motherly in a way. Hopefully.
As for the immortal grandchildren of Rhea are confused because technically the demigod of Rhea is their aunt/uncle but they’re so young, small, and weak (cough Ares), but take it in stride when eventually that is a good thing…
Cause I have a feeling because this child is their mother’s child but is also a demigod…they have complete ability to call out their behaviour when one of the gods do something, and they can’t really do anything because Rhea would not be happy. You’ve heard, “I’m not angry, I’m disappointed”, now imagine Rhea being THE QUEEN of that, delivering that statement this demigod child also able to make the gods feel that. Much to the delight of a rotating number of gods.
{ Thanks for asking and have a nice day! ヾ(•ω`)o }

I had the weirdest and silly idea and I was a bit worried if I should share, but this is Tumblr so....
You know when some mothers playful say to their babies 'oh! You are so cute! I could just eat you!' and stuff like this?
Imagine if one of the original Olympians (Kronos's kids)'s lover said it?
The Olympian in question:
Probally Maria since they had a second kid, so they have a longer relationship and most likely interacted with the kids as babies/toddlers
Maria: I wasn't serious, Hades! It was just baby-talk!
Hades, holding little Nico after snatching him off her arms: WHO JOKES ABOUT THAT KIND OF THING?

guys you know what would be really funny... rhea has a demigod kid and theyre her favourite child and the older 6 Olympians are PISSED about it.
like theyre at family brunch and its just
Zeus: mother... was it really necessary to bring the demigod?
Rhea: *gasp* Zeus how dare you i raised you better than this-
Demeter: i mean.. he has a point. Olympus is no place for a mortal teenager.
Rhea: Demeter that is your brother-
Hades: its literally 14.
Rhea: of all people Hades! Dave is as much my child as any of you!
Poseidon: i mean we're not saying he isnt its just... weird
Rhea: WEIRD? OH THATS RICH-
*Hestia and Dave are just chilling watching the chaos*
Dave is in the family pictures. He attends every family brunch, birthday, and dinner. Rhea forces her kids to get him Christmas gifts.
none of them would admit it, but when Dave died, they all attended his funeral.
#please just imagine this with me#im dying#Zeus trying to show Rhea a cool storm he did: MOOOOOOOOOM#Rhea not paying attention because 5 year old Dave made her a macaroni necklace: thats nice sweetie#percy jackon and the olympians#percy jackson#pjo#pjo fandom#pjo hoo toa#pjo oc#demigod oc

I think the "Marie raped Pluto" AU is pretty interesting when considering how Hazel struggles to really place her mother in a negative light or recognize that her behaviour was abusive. In any other situation, Hazel will quickly rationalize her mother's actions, even if recognizing that they were unhealthy and painful.
But there is no rationalization for her actions in this AU. Gaea had not yet started to sway her mother's thoughts. Even if she had, I don't think Hazel would be able to rationalize what happened to her father as not her mother's fault the way she can do with the abuse she faced at her mother's hands.
The implication in canon is that Hazel getting stuck with the curse wasn't anticipated by Marie. But even if it had been, I think Hazel would be able to ignore Marie choosing to have her to get around the consequences of her greed. Because she loves her mother and wants to believe that, no matter what, her mother genuinely loves her too.
But remove the consent and Hazel can't look past it the same way. Part of it is because Marie's abuse is no longer reflected specifically on Hazel. So she has no choice but to recognize it instead of swatting it away. The other part is Pluto's reluctance to tell her specifically because he does not want to mar her view of her mother, despite everything, which forces her to recognize the difference in how they care for her - Marie hating Hazel for something she was warned about, something Hazel didn't ask to deal with versus Pluto loving her in spite of what happened because he recognizes her innocence in the situation, understanding how important her mother's love for her is and not wanting to take away from that.
#hazel levesque#rape mention#hades (pjo)#happy talks pjo#marie levesque#pluto not wanting to derail hazel's love for her mother is fascinating when you consider that he is likely not close to his parents#his father for obvious reasons and rhea because he and the other stomach siblings were not raised by her#and he lives underground so i think he does not spend as much time with her with after the fact as the othera#but even then i think he and hestia are rhe most distant from their mother#and while the other three are somewhat close and familiar with rhea later on when they think mom their first thought is still hestia

he doesn't bite- "When Rhea informed the Olympians she had another child, they were mostly shocked. There hadn't been a new god in millennia, and now one had been born in the 21st century? It was almost unbelievable; too good to be true."
OR
Rhea has a child, neglects to tell the Olympians said child is, indeed, a demigod, and Hestia is the best divine sibling ever.

I wish that they would do a version of PJO, that just focuses on the gods. Like Succession meets Game of Thrones meets American Gods.
Let’s really delve into why Zeus is such as fucking dick. He was the only one of his brothers that didn’t get eaten he should be the most well adjusted.
Seriously, tell the story of Kronos and Rhea and Gaia and Uranus and how all this generational trauma started.
How Zeus is really just like his father and it’s the reason that he’s so paranoid he’s gonna be overthrown.
How Hades is actually the eldest boy and gets treated like fucking Connor Roy.
How Poseidon is actually the most powerful god and it’s why Zeus fears and is jealous of him. Also how his myths most always involve him being kind and giving until he perceives to be rejected or abandoned. Real water sign energy.
Hera is the biggest pick me trad!wife of all time. Goddess of marriage. Her husband seems to stick his dick everywhere but in her.
Hestia is basically a nun she was so fucked up by her parents
Demeter has an unnatural attachment to her own daughter bordering on obsession and anxious attachment style.
And that’s just the children of the Titans.
Ares
Aphrodite
Hephaestus
Athena
Dionysus
Apollo
Artemis
God there are literally seasons of drama and good character dynamic driven work to be made here. Hbo, Starz. Hulu what are you waiting for?
