Nah but can we appreciate Revenge of the Spider Queen more? That special is AMAZING, I completely forgot how good it was until I rewatched it. The training scene? MK and Wukong watching the fireworks? LBD’s debut? Spider Queen’s takeover? The introduction of the spider crew? Wukong and DBK getting captured? Red Son joining the team? The hilarious jokes throughout the special? All of them going to the Celestial Realm? The kickass final battle with MK, Wukong, and DBK working together? IT’S JUST SO DAMN GOOD!! Perfect introduction to season 2 and a FRICKIN AWESOME SPECIAL!

Did you go to that super spicy barbecue truck on New Years? I wanted to try it but the Demon-of-the-week thing happened and I didn’t get a chance 🥲

Be glad you didn’t. As a bit of a foodie and a small time reporter I couldn’t resist the promise of a new gimmick food stand so I went when it first opened and let me tell you they should have contracts people have to sign before ordering saying they won’t sue. I was a bit cautious ordering since I recognized the guy at the window as the red headed bastard from the show store and weather station incidents but I was hungry and my stomach is the boss so I went ahead and ordered some meat skewers in very hot and boiling lava thinking I could work my way up. Now I can handle spicy food always have been able to and I love pushing myself but this? Oh my gods You can barely taste the food after a couple bites( the meat was cooked excellently though). They do not sell water milk or bread and that’s stupid not only because of what they’re selling but because of all the money it could make. All the stands next to it we’re making a killing selling things in those categories.

This should not be advertised as a restaurant but ass a challenge with some kind of reward if you can beat it ( gods know nobody will ever do that lol ) spice level names were funny though. honestly my standards have been significantly lowered by speedy panda.

5/10 stars give this to your worst enemy 😉

I love how Laudna and Dorian's confrontations with Orym mirror each other.

Two charismatic but lovable people, friendly people, with a voice in their head telling them to grab onto this dark and evil item. It's to protect your friends, you want to protect them, right?

Orym noticing and knowing of the dark influences that may have a hand in this decision, trying to keep it from them with threats or physically.

The way they both frame it logically first. The other entities aren't telling them what to do, just sitting back and letting them run with it.

It was his decision to keep it, they can't have Dariax carry it the whole time. They know the horror committed by that sword, it could be dangerous. It's not safe handling it so flippantly. "I should have it" is the undercurrent of every sentence.

Then, when that doesn't work and Orym continues to pressure them to leave it, they turn the situation on him.

Can't make issues out of everything, can we? We could put it in the box and get rid of it, but we can't [because you used that box for something else.]

Why do you even need it? It wasn't yours to possess. You already have a sword [one you used to cover me in gashes.]

The effect this has on the group, not turning them on Orym completely but muddying the water and making them unsure on who to side with. They aren't a perpetrator being confronted but a victim being ganged up on.

Dorian drops it soon after, he cares about Orym's opinion a lot and it isn't worth the rift it will create. Laudna doesn't but she has had an extra 30 years with Delilah and will need more than this to change her mind.

"I'd prefer revenge" from Dorian when talking about his brother's murder. "I like that too." from Laudna in reply. "I knew you would." A shared darkness. One that Dorian has had much time to reflect on but one that is still present just as it is for Laudna.

The voice is gone but the voice wasn't always the one making these decisions. Fascinated to see how these two characters progress.

soooo not enough people talking about how not only is the Trigram Furnace fully lit in LMK but also filled with MIRRORS.

that’s so terrifying like-

first off TW for blood, death, self hatred, and being boiled alive

Imagine watching yourself get boiled to death, imagine seeing blood fall from your eyes and into the muddy water as you slowly loose vision

imagine the last thing you see clearly being yourself, bloody, bruised and scared.

the worst part, the reflections talked to MK so whose to say they didn’t talk to Sun Wukong. imagine spending 49 days with a reflection of all the terrible things you’ve done taunting you as you were boiled alive.

Imagine a mirror image of yourself looking down at you as you scream in pain and telling you that you did this to yourself, that you will die in there any day now.

Anyway that’s enough angst for one night

ok thoughts!!! i think that was pretty cool! i like the exploration on MKs character i think it was great that wukong got captured really set the stakes super high. also RED SON!!! its so funny how hes trying so hard to not be a villain, also bull king really loves his wife thats so sweet tbh (makes me wonder why she didnt show up at all???)

hope they team up again in future i loved that! also blue spirit girl hm. still do not know your motive or your name but she is sooo scary.. and it seems like this isnt the last time we'll see the spider queen fun!!
