For those trying to keep track of which Gorilla was in which film General Ursus was in Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970), played by James Gregory.
Claude Akins played General Aldo in Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973). I don't remember him having the helmet that Ursus and Urko wore though.
Mark Lenard played General Urko (or Chief of Security Urko) in the TV series (1974) and a General Urko was voiced by Thomas Corden in the animated Return to the Planet of the Apes series (1975).
I don't count any of the later movies as their uniforms weren't as good.

In preparation for watching the new Planet of the Apes movie -- I found the animated series on YouTube! I've only seen one episode but it's actually pretty good from what I understand. On par with the animated Star Trek.

enjoy some peter jackson king kong stuff too cause thats another ape movie I watched for the first time and also really fuckin liked. I did KK and PotA crossover doodles cause of course I did and the target audience is me and my one friend (he went as far as to actually figure out the logistics of the crossover based on my doodles and is also who got me to watch both ape movies)

The journey this symbol takes in The Planet of the Apes series is so beautiful.
It started as a drawing of the attic window that Caesar made on the wall of his enclosure because he’s homesick. It’s a symbol of hope, yes, but it’s the symbol of his hope to be free and return home. It’s so deeply personal to him.
The tragedy is, Caesar never really gets to return home. When he does break out, he and the once captive apes have to flee to Muir Woods. By the time he makes it back to the house, the humans that made it home are long gone. He kills Koba, the closest thing he had to a brother, after being betrayed & left for dead. He tries to build a family, but they’re taken from him. And though he leads the apes to their new home, he never gets to enter himself.
However, the other apes don’t have the same context for the symbol. To them, it represents hope & freedom & strength, not because it reminds them of the window, but because it reminds them of Caesar. It’s his leadership that gives them hope & freedom & strength, and when he is gone, his teachings & his memory. It’s a symbol of love. He is their home.

So watching through all Burtons filmography .....And I have reached the first what I call "bad movie" which for me is his remake of Planet of the Apes.I got half an hour in and I turned it off to watch the original Planet of the Apes, one of my favorite sci films ever
Imma finish the remake but....Wow is it bad
(For the record if you are gonna "What about" in regards to Bad Burton ,I enjoy Sleepy Holow,I really like Batman Returns and I simply love and adore Mars Attacks .I truly dont think he made a bad movie till Planet of the Apes )
