The Bluewind Inn ♥ The Sims 4: Speed Build // CC

♥ Hi guys, Today I present to you the Bluewind Inn and Suites located in Brindleton Bay. This build was inspired by the sea, the sand, and the sky. The Bluewind Inn sits near Cavalier cove and is owned by retired Marine Biologists, Rio and Jane Clarence. 5 years ago, this beautiful seaside manor was transformed into a Inn to be enjoyed by both locals and tourist.

The Bluewind inn is a multifunctional lot as it could be set as a rental lot, a restaurant, a pool, or a spa.  

ATTENTION: This is a huge build and is very cc heavy, so beware. If you’ve downloaded my other builds, you should have majority of the cc’s I used…But there’s more cc on this than usual.

So I work in a mental health charity and one of the things I'm responsible for is soliciting, like, stories from people about their mental health journeys.

But today I am rethinking my life cause I got a cold email from an American cop (we are a Scottish charity) talking at length about how AFTER HE KILLED SOMEONE he had a mental health crisis and how that affected him. Other than as an inciting incident, the person he killed barely came up - he was upset because KILLING A HUMAN PERSON put his job in jeopardy. He became addicted to sex and alcohol and drunk-drove with his daughter in the car and put his gun repeatedly in his own mouth (which he graphically described, in a cold contact email, so that's cool). But his piece wasn't about the struggles of Alcoholism either, but about how it was So Unfair that after years of alcoholism and panic attacks at work he refused to take voluntary retirement and so got fired. Don't worry though. He's a police captain now. Hooray. That's ok then.

It's honestly really fucked up my day like. How is your Mental Health Journey after LITERALLY KILLING A HUMAN PERSON entirely focused on how you should have been coddled even more than you were????

so I wrote back to him (politely) saying 'Even if we weren't a Scottish charity, we wouldn't publish your story because many of our service users have themselves experienced police violence. We feel it would be inappropriate to foreground your experience of the traumatic impacts of killing someone over the much more common experience of being the person harmed by police violence. Happy holidays!'

but in order to have a nice polite professional version of that I did have to type out, 'we regret to inform you that fuck you you ghoulish bitch, acab' several times and delete it. and it has really put a damper on my last-day-before-Christmas vibe

You mean to tell them that this master behind the wheel started out launching their mentor 50 feet into the air.

If Buddy does look uncomfortable, they’ll give them a pat in the back and tell them to laugh it off.

These bots are wincing in second hand pain seeing the wrecked cars and mentors flying. They know humans are too fragile compared to them and seeing them fly that hard. The dentings on the vechicles make them subconsciously rubbed their servos and arms imagining the dents on their own armor.

They are extremely surprised to hear that the skilled Buddy was also the same human that was crying and making their mentors fall into fetal positions after a tailpipe to the stomach.

If Buddy does look uncomfortable, they will either ask Buddy if they want ot leave or sit with them and quietly watch with them.

AU where Zava went to West Ham

Nate, even the dark side manager version, would absolutely cave under the 'pass to Zava' philosophy.

Roy still offers to train Jamie but does it weeks earlier in the season: "you're the best player on the team" "oh, thanks, coach" "but you're not good enough to beat Zava... yet".

Richmond still probably don't stumble onto Total Football until Amsterdam but their teamwork isn't utterly obliterated over the season either. (And hooray Colin isn't benched.)

Jamie (in peak condition) actually gets to go toe-to-toe with Zava (not in peak condition) with full prick permission during the West Ham game.

Rebecca was angry Rupert seemed to 'win' again by getting Zava but Jamie actually became her 'shite in nine-ing armour' by playing fucking circles around him.

The team doesn't need to be 'motivated' by the Nate video and so don't go insane in the second half (regrettably because I love the feral himbos).

Zava still retires after that game whether Richmond win or not (remember when irl Beckham decided to retire because Messi blew past him on the pitch?).

That actually gives Rupert a reason to start hating Jamie and be willing to target him in the final.

Sometimes you'd help him with his physical therapy exercises when Tenya was busy studying or just provide him with companionship, all of which Tenya would thank you for. "To show such noble attributes to fallen heroes is a wonderful characteristic! I hope that I may be able to display true hero qualities such as yours one day!" Sometimes his praise was too much.

His mother would invite you to go shopping or out to eat. Of course, you weren't used to the fine taste the Iida family was known for. However, you genuinely enjoyed your time and when you returned, Tenya was eager to hear what had happened.

The basis of your relationship was honesty and open communication, and you extended this courtesy to his family. Especially with his father who asked you specific questions regarding your dreams and goals for the future. He also asked you about your romantic life both with his son and any past partners you had.

The two of you managed to keep each other in balance and more importantly, worked around your busy schedules. Between your academic and personal lives, it was tricky to maintain your romantic life. But Tenya always made time to show you how much he and, to an extent, his family cared and loved you.

You can try not to antagonise the Empress, but she's never going to like you because you're sleeping with her husband

You're probably mad at the Emperor and Empress and you have every reason to be - they're the politically powerful leaders of this horrible slave society!

Your fantasy at this point is probably a people's revolution where both Emperor and Empress get the guillotine and slavery gets outlawed, but you're a normal twenty-first-century person, you probably don't know how to organise one of those things

You might be able to use plot spoilers, recommend the Emperor do policies that counter the secret conquest plans of the neighbouring empire, except your power depends on the Emperor viewing you as brainless and compliant, so this might not go the way you hope

Since you're now the main character there's a chance the male lead, the other Emperor, will get attracted to you, but you offer him zero political benefits so he's not going to marry you

You'll give birth to your second child, the Emperor believes it's his but it's the wrong gender for what he wants in an heir

At least you'll get the best of period available midwifery this time, hope your doctor remembers to wash his hands

You're not going to have another child with the Emperor, he's infertile, so good luck organising a discreet affair with another man, it will probably get you killed if the Emperor finds out

Your best chance is probably ask the Emperor to marry you off to some rich and tolerant nobleman, this was done in RL history to royal mistresses

Giving yall some lore about the upcoming Overblot era because I have so much inspiration and ideas EHEHEHEHEHEHEHEGEEHEEHE

I posted a video like a day ago I think (this one) with absolutely no context to leave y’all guessing — BUT NOW THE CONTEXT IS HERE HOORAY ���️‼️

So in that particular video, Calypso is actually in a dream of hers. Kinda like a lucid dream, ‘cause she can walk around and stuff. Now, you might be thinking, “Mod, why is she having a dream like that out of the blue?”

Well that’s ’cause it’s NOT out of the blue! She actually retired to her dorm earlier than usual that day, since she was afraid she’d blow a fuse at one of the nearest students she saw if she stayed out there for much longer. They aggravate her, tease her, poke at her for fun, it rightfully pisses her off a great deal! People can’t seem to respect her or leave her alone when she asks.

So, she went to sleep with a bit of a temper. A lot of a temper, actually. More like a hurricane brewing inside her, if I’m being completely honest.

Her anger and resentment towards the student body of NRC seemed to follow her into her dreams, in its own unique way.

But, oddly, Calypso felt normal, calm - even, in the dream. Like all of that anger had been removed from her body and placed somewhere else...an entirely different entity.

She wandered around Ramshackle, just a bit put off by the eerie atmosphere the dream had so graciously provided. The halls were dark, which made sense because it was nighttime, but they seemed too dark. Like they had been forcibly darkened by some unseen force.

Calypso stopped dead in her tracks as she reached the bottom of the stairs. Who was that figure, standing at the other end of the hall? It wasn't one of the students, or even the NRC staff. They looked...familiar. Too familiar. They bore a striking resemblance to her, except they didn't.

Last time Calypso looked in the mirror, she didn't have horns. Last time she looked in the mirror, she didn't have sharp teeth like that of a hunter. Last time she looked in the mirror, she didn't have wings that looked like the color of the midnight sky. Last time she looked in the mirror, that wasn't her. That was an intruder.

She was jerked from her sleep suddenly, a cold sweat breaking out all over her body. It was still nighttime. She still had a few more hours to go until daylight, but now she was never going to get sleep after an experience like that.

She seemed fine the next day, but almost everyone on campus could tell something wasn't right. Something was wrong, even if Calypso herself didn't see it. The dark shadow that seemed to follow her, that wasn't necessarily her own. How she snapped at students a bit quicker than usual.

She was in for a doozy, and she couldn't even sense it.

Got a question for Drum to round out my camping trip themed asks! While dinosaurs aren't exactly paranormal, the current town of Drumheller does contain the hamlet and ghost town of Wayne. Have you ever brought Paula and Vulcan with you to check it out? For that matter, what's it like living by a ghost town? And what (if anything) does that do to the municipality representative that lived there?

We did pass by Wayne on our way into Drumheller but didn't stop, by that time we were so tired and ready to go home hahaha. As usual, Drumheller belongs to @zomsaurus (and who has dibs on designing Wayne too hahaha) (let us know when you go on your research trip :) )

Meta Stuff

this is kind of my feeling on what makes a personification exist. I think if a town's population was relocated or only exists in memory, their connection to our world starts to fade

(This is also why non-municipal personifications like nations would probably be a bit tougher and more resilient, to a point.)

(and I'm still concerned about something like Fort Walsh that was rebuilt as an educational tool as kind of a reanimated corpse? lol)

Wayne technically exists as part of Drumheller, like a microcosm of how Strathcona exists as part of Edmonton, so I think amalgamation is one way to cheat death also.

In Hetalia canon there has been one case where a micronation "gave up" and "went back to being a human", though I'm not sure that interpretation works with the way I do things. Interesting to think about, anyway!

A bit more on the Hetalia approach: Prussia is "retired" and it's suggested in this linked scan that he's slowly becoming increasingly mortal. Ancients like Rome will still appear in the dreams of their descendants as well.

Some fun facts about Wayne

Last I heard, Wayne's population was 28 whole people! At its peak, it had about 2,500.

I think the Rosedeer Hotel / Last Chance Saloon is under new management now, but it's one of the big attractions. If you don't mind the shared washroom down the hall, perhaps the honeymoon suite is for you!

The saloon also has real bullet holes in the walls (framed), though they're from an incident in the 1970s rather than the 1910s

How is Wayne related to Red? Kid sibling? haha. Coal town origins, as is true of many ghost towns...

Waynestock is a big music festival/camping event in early September. It lasts 3 days and features about a hundred artists!

You might recognize Wayne in the movies. Shanghai Noon was partially filmed there!

The Dark Queen & The Wandering Witch

Slumped against a tree’s hollowed base, Queen Vivian lay, as she lay, she wept, crying to the stars for answers. The stars never answered her prayers, except once, 3 years ago.

As Queen Vivian sat upon her throne, King Charles was announcing the completion of the kingdoms quest to restore the forest where they collect lumber to build housing, this will increase the kingdoms income.

Vivian was drifting away as she listened to her husbands words, she always drifts into a dream like state around him. At night the king would drink and he could sometimes get very angry and take it out on his servants. King Charles was ambitious, he had a heart of gold, very driven, very swift, very cunning. As The Queen drifts she thinks of the way they met, a celebration of the trinity, where the 3 most powerful kingdom’s come together to celebrate a union after a long drawn war.

At the celebration she heard Prince Charles speak, it was like she was mesmerized, his bright blue eyes, his mauve, full lips, so young, speaking as if there is so much ahead of him.

“I can’t wait for a forever with him,’ she thinks to herself, ‘I hope when the baby is born that everything comes together.”

King Charles stood, the room kneeled before him in gratitude. ‘Hooray!’ The crowds are shouting in excitement.

The halls broke loose, the castle becoming empty, The King and Queen, seemingly happy, retire to their sanctums.

I’ve been thinking of a story for awhile now, and it’s been driving me mad, I have to write it, stay tuned for more.

Two things about pretty much all of the Endeavour main characters throughout the entire series:-

they are Big Damn Heroes, and in their various ways deeply warm-hearted

they are all, when required - and even more when not required - That Bitch

Both of those go double for Morse, naturally (and we wouldn't have him any other way).

They all require:-

hugs

to stop beating themselves up for stuff that isn't their fault

to get better at communicating with each other (especially Morse & Thursday with each other, but definitely not just those two)

therapy

enrichment consisting of like-minded people to be That Bitch with (hooray for Fred, Max, and Trewlove who each provide this for Morse at least some of the time, Max especially)

in the case of those working for the police, a different job and/or retirement.
