-Personal trainer-
♧A quick smutt♧
"Okay, a little more," he says.
It's your first time having a personal trainer. Since your new job pays so well, you decided to book an expensive personal trainer.
Kim Namjoon, oh he's so handsome, you think to yourself.
He has you lying down. On top of you, he has one of your legs lifted up to his shoulder. Pushing his weight down on you.
"Good job...that feels good, right?"
"Yes" you respond.
He's staring deep in to your eyes when you notice a smirk on his face.
"I feel like you're liking this more than you should," he says.
You were flustered amd dinst know what to say.
"Wel..uh..I mean, yeah."
He starts to rub your thigh up and down and pushes himself towards your area.
"Do you...wanna, take this further?" He asks.
You think for a bit before answering. "I do"
He smiles and continues. He pulls back of you and puts your legs back down. He then begins to take off his shirt and once he's done, lies back on top of you.
"Kiss me," he demands. And so you did. Your lips moving with each other's rhythms makes you feel like you're floating. He pulls away for a second just to continue again while taking off your leggings. It's a bit of a struggle, but now you're both in less clothing (including shoes).
He moves down from your lips to your chin and then your neck. He pulls up your top to kiss and message your breasts. You let out soft moans and run your fingers through his hair. He moves lower to your stomach and then your hips.
He then pulls your legs back up to your stomach and start to lick and suck on your clit. Making you moan out his name. His tongue is soft and warm.
He starts to flick his tongue faster and harder, making you unable to stop yourself from grinding yourself into his face. Which only makes you wanna cum faster. He flicks harder, and you grind faster. The tension builds up, and you feel yourself cumming all over his face.
"Ah fuck Namjoon" you yell out.
"Fuck, you're so wet" he says. U already came, but he can't stop licking.
"Ahhh stop, oh my god" you say, pulling his head up.
His lips are moist, and he giggles out. "sorryyy, you taste too good"
He comes back up to your face, and you guys begin to make out. You grab on to his hard back with one hand and rech down to his dick. You start to stroke him.
"Mmh, your hands feel so good." He bites his lips, pulls himself up, and takes his dick out. He grabs your hand and places it on his dick. Making you stroke it back and forth. He kept biting his lips and moaning out. "Oh fuck baby.." over and over again.
"Ah, I can't wait anymore, I need you." He places your thighs right on top of his. Missionary position.
He positions his cock right at your entrens and start to push himself in.
"Oh fuck, yes" You moan out.
He pushes himself into you and starts to go in and out. Until he's pounding you on the floor. You both become moaning messes. Sweating and panting.
"You feel amazing" He moans out.
"Please fuck me" you moan out.
He ges faster and harder. He's so much bigger than you. Making you feel vulnerable underneath him. He continues to pound you harder and faster by the pound. The sound of both your skins smacking against each other echo's trhiugh the gym room.
"Baby I'm gonna cum" he says.
"Me too"
You can feel yourself climaxing onto his dick. Your muscles contracting onto his. It feels so good you could scream. He bucks his hips for a couple more seconds before cumming. He pulls out and you can feel his hot sperm land on your stomach.
He continues to jerk off his dick releasing the last couple drops on you.
You both catch your breath before he says, "That was amazing"
"It really was." You kiss him.
"Come to dinner with me?" He asks.
"Of course," you respond.
You both get in the shower and yk.
After, you both go home, just to meet each other that night again at a very fancy restaurant.
♡The rest is history♡
[Hello Armyyy, this is a smutt of a different member, I usually make Jungkook smutt bit wanted to see how people respond to different memebrs. Though, this one was a bit rushed so it might not be as good as "New Years Fuck" or "Before you go" still I appreciate anyone who supports me. Lots of love!♡]

I had these two similar requests, so I decided to combine them into one. Whoever saw the other post… No you didn’t. Enjoy!
•• ━━━━━━━ •• ❖ •• ━━━━━━━ ••

3 “aww, you’re blushing”
6 “ are you…? oh my god. you are.”
69 “i don’t think i’ve ever seen your face so red.”
•• ━━━━━━ •• ❖ •• ━━━━━━━ ••
Revenge
Lee!Han, Minho
Ler!Han, Minho
•• ━━━━━━━ •• ❖ •• ━━━━━━━ ••
“We have plenty of pictures on your phone! And plus, digital images are not fun.” Minsung were arguing over something dumb again. What could it be this time…
Han kept on insisting on taking more pictures together, because there is no such thing as too many. Minho, on the other hand, disagreed.
Jisung really wanted to go out that day. Like a mini date. They could grab some food, discover some new photo spots and just spend quality time together. But the main thing on his mind was to buy a camera. One that prints pictures right after taking them, to be specific.
Minho, obviously, wasn’t a big fan of the idea. He just wanted to completely waste his free day by watching TV and eating snacks all day long.
“Come onnn, hyung~ This is our only chance to go out, and you just wanna throw it away just like that?” the quokka bribed the older “I already said no. There is absolutely nothing that would make me change my mind.”
“Please, please, please~ I’ll literally do anything!” the leader of danceracha definetly underestimated his weakness againts whiny Jisung “No.” Minho really tried denying the offer. Even in his mind. But he was already convinced. Han only had to pull his arm up and down and complain childlishly to change the cat lover’s principles.
“So first we’re gonna go to the market and get some beutiful matching bracelets. Then I’m thinking about taking you to this super cute anime-japanese store, where we can buy delicious snacks and lastly we can eat at that fancy restaurant that we saw last week!”
“Hm… Sound like a lot of work…” Lee Know complained “More like a lot of fun! This is gonna be the best date ever!” the squirrel happily smiled, showing his toothy smile.
•• ━━━━━━━ •• ❖ •• ━━━━━━━ ••
“Minho hyung, come look at this!” Han exitedly called the older over “What is it?” “Just look at these necklaces! This one has a little cat, see? This one is going to be yours! And look at this cute quokka! I’ve never seen one on a piece of jewelry…”
Minho, once again, tiredly hummed, murmuring something under his breath. He just wanted to go home…
After paying for their new pendants, Minsung made their way to the anime shop. Jisung was very much looking forward to visiting this place. He had always wanted to go there, but always felt too nervous to go alone.
The whiny cat followed his owner for a while. The all-rounder kept on stopping and checking out different figurines, flipping thru mangas and begging the older to buy him some cute stickers and keychains.
Finally, after what felt like years of wandering around the massive building, the couple reched the exit. Minho was so exited to go buy some snacks and finish off their hang out with some delicious dinner. But one last thing caught the curious boy’s eye.
“Look, hyung. A photo booth! And it’s anime themed. Is this heaven?” the rapper exitedly walked towards the mentioned place “Wait, we’re not actually stopping here, are we?” Lee Know stood there with his mouth wide open.
“Why not? There are no people around. And it’s also an opportunity to get some more pictures together!” Jisung gripped the other boy’s arm and dragged him towards the dreaded place.
“Come on, you go first!” the squirrel like boy pushed his hyung into the tight space. When both them both entered the photo booth, Lee Know noticed how little space there was. He felt like a sardine with how close Han was. They were not just touching shoulders. They were basically sitting on eachother. Jisung was sitting on him to be specific.
“Now smile, hyung!” the maknae of 3racha encouraged the older as he inserted a coin into the machine. A loud clicking noise was heard and the lights set up inside shone bright into the boys eyes. Suddenly, a long piece of paper slid out right into Jisung’s hands.
“Look, it’s us!” the younger shoved the pictures into Minho’s face “Yah, I see them. Can we go now?” Han was about to agree, but then he looked closer into his souvenir.
“Wait… Did you not smile?” the spark in the boy’s eyes dissapeared. Minho almost felt bad “Well, you forced me to come with you, so why should I smile if I’m not happy?” “You little- I’ll make you smile!”
“YAHAHAHAHA DOHOHON’T!” the mischevious bunny was no longer worried about making his friend sad. He was now busy fighting Jisung’s long, tickly fingers off his ticklish sides.
“Aww, you’re blushing!” the quokka teased, only pressing his fingers deeper in “NOHOHOHO SUHUHUHNGIE PLEHEHEASE!” the worst part was that Minho was completely immobile. The tickler’s body weight combined with the tight space made it imposible to move any more than he was able to at the moment. Which wasn’t much.
“FUHUHUHUCK PLEHEHEASE NOHOHO!” Once the rapper reached his armpits, he knew it was over. Tears had started running down his cheeks by now. Lee Know definetly underestimated his sensitivity.
Ji on the other hand was very much enjoying himself. Not only did he get to have the most amazing day, but he also got to wreck the shit out of his hyung.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen your face so red.” the dancer’s toothy smile seemed to be permanently stuck on his beet-red face. But once the ler reached his preciou’s lee’s deathly ticklish thighs, Minho could tell that he was near his limit.
“H-HAHAHAHAN MEHEHEHEECY PLEHEHEHEASE…!” the poor boy was struggling to breathe. But he’d be dead wrong if he denied liking this.
Jisung wanted to check one last thing before finishing off with the older by lighly stroking his neck “are you…? oh my god. you are.” his theory was proven right when his victim elicited some of the sweetest giggles and scrunched up the sensitive body part.
“How many more places are you ticklish on!” Before Lee Know could push the younger off, Han had already dug his fingers into the older’s neck and collarbone area.
“Smilee, hyung~” the all-rounder threw yet another coin into the machine while scratching the cat mom’s neck. This time, he would most definetly be smiling.
After a few more seconds and some posing, the final and most perfect pictures came out “We look so cute! Look, Minho hyung. See, you’re smiling this time~” Han teased.
“Yah! Don’t think you can get away with this!” the bunny used both hands to poke Hannie, succesfully forcing him out of the photo booth.
•• ━━━━━━━ •• ❖ •• ━━━━━━━ ••
Minsung had filled their stomachs up and were sitting comfortably on the couch. Lee Know decided to visit the 3racha and Hyunjin dorm to watch a movie with Han.
They had already chosen the perfect movie to watch. About 30 minutes had passed and both of them were pretty invested. Especially Jisung. Which is exactly what Minho wanted.
“Are you enjoying this movie?” the cat man asked “Shut up, please” oh he was so going to make him regret that. The dancer listened to the younger. He seemed to really like the film, so the second oldest felt obligated to be nice for at least a little while. That was until he got bored.
“Remember what happened at the photo booth today?” this sentence made Han’s face redden up as he shyly nodded “Y-Yeah, of course I do…” Minho smiled hearing his bandmate’s shaky voice.
“You know, I might just want some revenge…” of course, the quokka knew this would happen. He has actually been anticipating it all day long “Um… I think that you might not need that.”
Jisung crossed his arms against his chest, trying to hide how flustered he was, the dark room making it pretty easy. To his disadvantage, the bunny knew him far too well “No need to pretend that you don’t want this, Sungie~” Lee Know teased, sliding closer to his future victim.
“I’m actually not t-ticklish” Han scoffed, turning his head cockily “Oh? Since when? Last time I checked you were the most ticklish person I know” Minho’s eyebrows raised upon hearing the statement “Well, you’ve got the wrong person, ‘cause I am not one bit… Y-You know what I mean” the maknae of 3racha evetually got far too shy to even say the dreaded word “Aww, how cute. You can’t even say it~ Let me help you with that.”
Soon enough, the leader of danceracha was wrestling with the other boy “Get ohohof mehehe! I already told you-ugh, I’m nohohot,- Yah! I tohold you to stop!” Both of them were equally as strong, but Han could be managed much easily when he was in a lee mood.
“Ohohok you win…” the shorter admited. I mean, he had to accept the truth, considering that the older had him completely pinned. He was stuck under his hyung, whom was sitting on hips, crushing his thighs with his. Not to mention that both his arms were also in the hands of the scary ler.
“Hmm… Now, where shall we start…? I have an idea! How about you tell me!” Minho had come with the most amazing idea. This was going to make the younger so shy “W-What do you mean” “Stuttering already? Just tell me where and how you wanna be tickled! Not that complicated.”
“WHAT?! I cahahan’t do that!” “Sorry, but you mistake me for someone who cares. Now do what I told you or… I’m going to do that thing.” Han’s eyes widened in fear. Just a day or two ago, Minho had found Sung’s ultimate death spot. It was on the inside of his thigh, closer to his knee. When the older sat on his hips, with his back facing Jisung’s face, and vibrated his fingers into the dreaded spot, the rapper felt like he could confess his darkest secrets just so the ler would slow down.
“…” The younger simply did not respond. Both things were equally as flustering, he could’t choose “Well, looks like you prefer the second option”
Without a warning, Minho streched his hand behind his back, searching for the lee’s ticklish thigh “Stop squirming so much, I can’t get anything done like this…” Jisung was really testing his patience with all the movements he did just to avoid the scary fingers that creeped closer to his sensitive body part every second.
When the older finally reached his limit, he decided to turn his body to face Han’s lower half “Just say stop if it gets too much.”
Jisung gulped in fear. Soon enough, he felt Minho’s hand searching for the dreaded spot. Once they did, Han could only pray his ticklishess had gone away over night.
“Look, let’s talk about this like smart, elegant gentle-MEHEHEHEHEN” the wicked bunny wasted no time, digging his fingers in mercilessly into the ticklish flesh “We already did, Hannie.” the olders calmness was getting the quokka really badly.
“PLEHEHEHEASE HYUHUHUHUHNG DOHOHOHOHON’T!” Han whined in ticklish agony, thrashing around like a madman “I didn’t hear a stop~”
The younger’s current state looked rather… concerning. His whole face was a nice, deep cherry-red, with a vein popping out of the ticklish boy’s neck(which was equally as red). His upper body was swinging side to side. Han kept on slapping Minho’s back, but the tickler seemed to be nonchalant about it.
As ler continued the action, tears started streaming down Jisung’s neck, signaling that he was near his limit “P-PLEHEHEASE MIHIHIHINHO S-STOHOhohop…-“ As soon as Sungie’s wild cackling could no longer be heard, Lee Know stopped.
“Are you ok? Do you want to continue?” the concern in his voice was real “Y-Yeheah, j-just maybe not there anymohore…” the worry in the cat’s lover’s face quickly melted away and was replaced by mischeviousness “Then we should switch back to the first option…”
“W-What was the first option…” Jisung stuttered “Oh please, I know you remember~ Now tell me, where and how” Lee Know sweetly smiled down at the shorter “Do what?” Han tried to sound clueless “You’re being annoying. Where. And. How. Tell me this very moment or we’re going back to square one”
The rapper closed his eyes, hoping this was all a dream. He was not about to do a tutorial on how to tickle him “Look, we really don’t have to do this…” Minho gently placed his hand back onto the younger’s thigh “OKAY. Okahahay, I will do whatever you want, hyung…”
The bunny’s mouth extended into a wide grin “Oh no, Sungie! It seems to be that I’ve absolutely forgotten what tickling was! And how to do it! Can you show me? Please”
A sudden wave of heat attacked the lee’s face, rushing blood up into it “Um, so. Fuhuhuck I can’t. Hyung, I cannot do this.” Han covered his red face with his hands “Can’t do what? I don’t understand… Can you please answer my questions?!” Minho teased the younger by placing his skillful fingers onto his victim’s sensitive sides.
“Look, you’re doing great already. Juhuhust squeeze now and you will have t-tickled me” Jisung flusteredly instructed after seeing the older’s hand placement “Oh, like this?” the ler obeyed, pushing his fingers deeper into the flesh “Yehehehes, j-juhuhst like t-that”
“Are you sure, Jisung? Or should do it like this, or that, or maybe-“ Lee Know suddenly started poking, squeezing and wiggling at Han’s sides “NOHOHOHO MIHINHO DOHON’T!” said man just smiled “Where else are you… How do you call a person that very sensitive to tickles anyway, Sungie?” “YOU KNOHOHOW THAHAHAT ALREHEHEDY, STOHOHOP TEHEHEASING!”
“Just tell me~!” Minho whined, squeezing Jisung’s sides even faster “YAHAHAHA I-I WIHIHILL! JUHUHUST STOHOHOP!” with that, the taller slowed down “ticklish” the quokka mumbled under his breath “What? What do you call it?” the cat lover teased, inching his face dangerously quickly to his bandmate’s incredibly sensitive ears “Lee. Minho. Don’t get any closer!” Obviously, the ruthless tickler did not listen. Why would he?
“What did you say, Hannie~ What do you call it~” the way that Minho ticklishly blew air into the poor boy’s ears made him giggle like a maniac “Mihihinnie plehehehehehease stohohop i’ll tehehel you, juhuhuhst stohohop~”
Lee Know absolutely adored how Jisung didn’t even try stop him. He just firmly gripped his shoulders, lighly twitching his head.
He did stop, wanting to hear the “unknown” word “T-ticklish. That’s the word.” Han finally pushed the term out “Wow, that’s so interesting! You’re very ticklish, Jisungie, I wonder where else are you ticklish, you ticklish boy~” the quokka rolled his eyes. Minho was milking the hell out of that new word.
“Well, answer me. Where else are you ticklish?” the younger snapped out of his flustering thoughs after hearing his hyung’s request “W-what. Umm… I-I dohon’t know…” “How about… Here!” the ler’s sneaky fingers found their way to his lee’s soft tummy “Ehehehe thahat’s pretty bahahad…” Han snickered.
A sudden wave of confidence washed over the rapper’s mind. He could ask for any kind of tickles right now. No matter how much he denied it, he could’t hide how much he loved raspberries. And now was the perfect time to ask.
“Uhm, Minnie…” Han asked “What is it?” Minho slowed his movements down to hear the boy “I-I want you to g-give me rasp-raspberries… Can you?” Jisung have the best puppy eyes he could “Sure, we can go to the store to get some later!” the maknae of 3racha rolled his eyes at the second eldest’s obliviousness.
“Not those raspberries. The other ones. You know, the ones that you give me… Blowing them on my sides…” the squirrel like boy tried to guide the cat mom back to his skillful mind “I still don’t understand. You’ll have to explain it step by step~” Ji was getting more and more red by the second. He was so frustrated and fed up with the older’s teasing. Could’t he just give him what he wanted?
“Look, hyung, if you don’t stop teasing I swear I’ll lock in a photobooth with Chan-hyung!” Minho’s smile dropped for a second remembering what had happened just last week. Ever since then, he’s become photoboothphobic(i made that up btw).
To clear things up, he got wrecked really badly in there. He had been in an incredible lee mood all day long, and Chan just wanted to give what he wanted. He did satisfy the younger, but Minho didn’t want to be around the older for the next 48 hours.
“Alright, I’ll get to the point.” Lee Know shrugged. That’s when the real torture started. Minho wasn’t called the most skillful tickler of Stray Kids for nothing.
With one hand on Hannie’s hip and another wrapped around his sensitive thigh, the bunny knew what he was doing “OHOHOHO MAHAHAHA GOHOHOHSH PLEHEHEASE” “Nu-uh, you told me to stop teasing, so I won’t”
The most mischevious member combined all of his tickle knowledge into that one session. He definetly knew that Jisung’s knees were a really bad spot. So, he decided to focus on that.
“NOHOHOHOHO PLEHEHEHEASEE!” Han exclaimed, gripping onto the pillow that was on the couch. Lee Know did not stop. He used both hands, one squeezing the top and one concentrated on the top. This made the quokka absolutely mad.
“M-MIHIHIHNHO HYUHUHUHUHNG JUHUHUST LIHIHSTEN FOR A MIHIHINUTE!” for your information, the dancer didn’t even bat an eye, only switching spots. He went from mercilessly attacking the younger’s kneecaps to… His new invention, if you can call it that.
“Sungie, hide your arms behind your back for me. I have an idea” Although the rapper wasn’t so fond of his hyungs future idea, he decided to trust his next moves.
He learnt a very valueable lesson that day - never trust Lee Minho.
As soon as Jisung trapped his hands under his own torso, Lee Know laid on his exhausted body. The next thing he did made Sung regret everything.
“You ready?” Han innocently nodded. Soon enough, he felt the tickler showing all 10 of his fingers in his armpits, wiggling them around into the sensitive flesh “NAHAHAHAHA WHYYY HYUHHUHUHUHG PLEHEHEHEASE MEHEHERCY” the shorter quickly regreted believing the elder.
The cat man shoved his fingers deeper into the crevice with every. Single. Wiggle. His thumb was also massaging the area above the armpit, making the process much more agonizing.
When Jisung thought it couldn’t get any worse, Minho lowered his head and started nibbling at his neck. Not mention that the dancer’s hairs were also taking part in the ticklish process.
“M-MIHIHIHINHO PLEEHEHEHEASE TH-THIS IS TOHOHOHO MUCH!” the mischevious bunny simply shrugged. Since the younger’s laughter hadn’t gone silent and he also hadn’t used the safeword, he wasn’t worried “Just say the safeword, and it’ll be over, honey~” Han blushed at the nickname. Not like you could tell, because basically every single body part that was visible was completely red.
After some more time, the cat charmer got bored. Since Hannie seemed pretty tired and close to his limit, he wanted to satisfy one last request of his.
“How many ribs do you have?” Jisung knew what this meant. His ribs were about to be counted “Twelve! I-I hahave twelve rihibs…” Minho malevolently smirked, slowly getting off the shorter “That is how many raspberries you’re getting”
The brown-eyed boy’s face dropped. Yes, he wanted some raspberries, but that many.
“Oh? Afraid you can’t handle it? Well, I have this big machine. It’s my newest invention.” Lee Know smiled, doing the infamous finger guns “Oh god, what is it this time…” “The i-dont-care-in-ator! It showcases how I don’t care how ticklish you are. That is your problem.”
With that, Minho lowered his “tool”. He vibrated his finger-guns into Jisung’s ribs. If that wasn’t enough, he also decided to add some of the requested rapberries to the mix.
“One…Two…Three” the leader of danceracha painfully and slowly counted, as he blew one ticklish air bubble after another “I-I LOHOHOHOHOVE YOU HYUHUHUHUNG PLEHEHEHEASE STOHOHOP!”
Just as those words left Sungies mouth, Minho’s i-dont-care-inator lifted up from his body “I love you too, Ji!” Lee Know playfully peppered the younger’s face with kisses. Not directly onto his face, obviously.
“Thahahat was… A lot.” Jisung blushed, covering his face as a very flustered scream left his mouth “Well, did you like it?” Lee Know pondered “…Is it wrong that I did…?” the older jumped onto his favourite lee “That is the cutest thing ever! Please don’t ever change.”
“But please, go take a shower before bed. You’re very sweaty and stinky” the mischevious bunny sheepishly pointed out “Yah! That is your fault!”
“… So can you guys, maybe explain?”
Minsung were too busy having the most insane tickle fight to notice that the rest of the people living in the dorm were watching everything…

We can work it out
John Lennon x Reader x Roger Taylor
Summary: Both John and the reader finally confess the loving feelings they have for Roger.
You and John had been married for 2 years now. However only the close family and friends to John knew who you were. He didn’t want the press to start bugging you or hateful comments to be said to you. He didn’t want to ruin your life in that way so you both agreed to keep it quiet.
John made sure to make out to the world that he was some sort of laddies man, a rockstar who always had one night stands or short flings. He had to make it seem like he would never be the one you’d expect to see settling down with a woman anytime soon.
It did bother you at first when you’d seen news aricles claming John was seen with a new one night stand but as time went on you trusted John, you knew he loved you that’s why he married you, that’s why he wants to keep you safe.
You and John were invited to a small party Freddie had thrown, he only invited a few people. John had asked who was invited and concluded that it was safe for you to join him there.
That’s when you guys met Roger.
John had disappeared to the balcony outside to have a smoke, he saw Roger sitting down on one of the couple of seats outside and greeted him.
John didn’t ever have suspicions that he was gay or bisexual. He never felt attracted sexually or romantically to another man, that’s why he happily married his wife.
But when he saw Roger for the first time his heart throbbed with adoration, like the first him he had seen his wife. He felt so wrong for feeling the same way for someone who wasn’t you. He felt so confused and he wanted to hate it but he liked it at the same time so he let the feeling absorb him.
Roger felt the exact same way, not having any suspicions he liked the same gender. He didn’t really know what it was like to even feel such a deep connection to someone as he was also known as a man of many one night stand and flings but the only difference between John and Roger was that John didn’t actually live in that imagine and Roger did.
Roger almost jumped off the balcony right there and then when he saw you step out. His heart was doing the same thing as when he had first seen John.
“Hi Roger” your soft voice called out to him and John pulled you down into his lap.
Roger stole glances at the two of you as you spoke to one another. He didn’t know if it was the alcohol or something but he felt lust cloud over him as he saw you on Johns lap.
The tight dress you wore that showed your cleavage and your short dress ridding up past you thigh as you sat on Johns knee. Johns half unbutton shirt exposing his chest and his messy hair.
Roger felt his pants tighten at the thought of you guys. He felt so wrong for it. You guys were a married couple.
Nothing happened that night. You and John left the party feeling buzzed off the alcohol and Roger stayed the night at Freddie’s.
However the encounters kept happening amongst you three, being at the same studio, small parties Freddie had or sometimes in private restaurants.
You guys got so close you even invited him over for dinners between the three of you which you cooked for him.
You all felt so confused and hurt at the same time. It was so wrong.
You felt feelings towards another man when you had a husband who you loved deeply. Sometimes when John was out at the studio you would cry. You knew you had to talk to John about it but you didn’t know what would happen to your relationship.
That night John came home to your crying and immediately was by your side, you couldn’t hold it in anymore and told of your feelings towards Roger.
You felt his heart sink and he let go of your hand as he couldn’t make eye contact with you.
“John!” you cried out as you knew he was going to get up at leave, ask for a divorce and tell you that you were disgusting for liking another man but he didn’t.
He let out a laugh of disbelief “Fuck” he shook his head as he kept a small sarcastic smile on face.
“I’m so sorry John”
He shook his head again and turned to face you “I feel the same way towards him” he looked into your eyes.
“Fuck indeed” you spoke which made him chuckle as he rubbed his temple.
“I’ve seen the way he looks at us, it’s the same way we look at each other” John spoke but paused to imagine the look on Rogers face. “That first night on the balcony it was lust, at the studio it was love, i know he feels the same way”
“What do we do?” you softly spoke “we are a married couple who both share the same feelings for the same man-“ you cut yourself off from talking as a confused though pulled at you face.
“Your gay?” you whispered with wide eyes at John which made him instantly whip his head around to look at you.
He furiously shook his head “No my love, i love you so much... i think im bisexual” he rushed out not wanting you to think that he had been lying to you for the past 5 years. “I would never lead you on like that baby”
“This is so fucked up” you groaned as you placed you head in your hands.
“We can work it out, no matter what happens i will not loose you!, your the love of my life” John sternly spoke as he placed a comforting hand on your back as he too felt tears in his eyes. “i love you”
“I love you too John” you kissed his lips softly.
You both sat in silence as you both layed down on the couch, your head on Johns chest as he lightly stroked your hair. Both of you in deep thought.
You guys spoke back and fourth about your opinions and finally concluded what you would do.
“Should we call him then?” you whispered hesitantly.
“I suppose we should” he hummed as you looked up at him.
You both stood up and slowly made you way over to the red receiver on your wall, Johns hands shook as he entered his number. Both of your hearts racing at the deep rings shouted out.
“Hello?” his voice sounded through the phone, John looked at you with eyes that gave a look of need conformation which you softly nodded.
“Roger, it’s John”
“Is everything okay?” his confused voice spoke as he wondered why you were calling.
“I think we need to have a chat, come over” Roger felt his heart drop into his ass, and he swallowed at Johns stern voice.
“Okay!” he nodded as slammed the phone back into its place and grabbing his car keys.
He felt anxiety rise in his body as he thought of the worst, maybe John had caught on about Rogers feelings towards his wife and wanted to put him in his place. Maybe John had caught on to Rogers feelings about him and wanted to tell him how disgusting he was.
He pulled up into the drive through of the familiar house and took a deep breath as he made his was up to the door.
He softly tapped the door with his knuckles and it opened immediately, there stood both you and John with worried expressions on your faces.
Once Roger was settled on the couch sitting opposite the both of yours.
“Roger i’ve noticed the way you look at my wife and i” Roger almost past out at the soft but stern look on Johns face, his gaze flickered from yours to Johns, trying to figure out if you guys were just messing with him.
“Well i-i” Roger didn’t even know what to say.
“I’m sorry!, i... well i um, i guess i do feel a strong feeling for the both of you guys, i know it’s so wrong and it’s so confusing.” he furrowed his eyebrows together. “i understand if you guys don’t want me around anymore but when i’m around you guys my heart just goes wild and i have butterfly’s in my stomach-“
“Roger it’s okay” you softly laughed as you reched over to soothingly grab his hand.
“We both feel the same way” John said which made Rogers breath hitch in this throughly from shock and disbelief.
“What?”
“We spoke about it earlier, we both like you too, it’s so weird because we are a married couple, i never thought i ever liked men but when i saw you it all changed” John spoke as Roger nodded.
“We thought that if you wanted to try... well we know your not into relationships or anything but we’d love it if your try with us” You softly spoke to Rogers shocked eyes.
“All three of us?, in a relationship?” he breathed out as he looked from you to John quickly.
You both nodded, both of you had soft loving smiles on you face which made Rogers heart fill with hope.
“I would love to but i don’t want to introduce on your marriage” he sadly said as he pouted.
“We’ve never been so sure in our lives, we want you to become apart of his marriage with us” you reached your hand to softly touch his face which he leaned into.
“I’ve never been in a committed relationship before” he confessed looking down shamefully.
“It’s okay, we can help, we will take it slow” you spoke taking his hand in yours which he brought up to his lips to kiss.
“Okay” he smiled at John which he returned.
Roger leaned over and brought his lips to Johns which made both boys sigh in relief as they finally let the loving gesture absorb the both of them making you grin out in happiness.
You let them enjoy this moment together as this was the first kiss they had ever shared with the same gender that they didn’t even know they liked until a couple months ago.
Now Roger was finally both yours the only tough part now was continuing to keep you a secret from the press with both of them being famous and keeping Roger and Johns side of the relationship out of the press too.
Roger and John pulled away and Roger leaned in to kiss you too, it felt amazing, finally not being forced to hold back your feelings anymore.
John pulled you guys into his arms for a hug, kissing both of your heads, “We can work it out” he sighed as he breathed the feeling of you guys in.

may 22nd, 2022--8:51am and waiting for T to wake up
previous
on may 14th, T, E and i went to everland! it was a bit of a late start with us being tired in the morning. we went to eat brekky at a spot T and i had gone to before, where the breakfast is very american style--i had a waffle and it was so good! full of fruits :D there was also a cupsleeve event happening for a musical actor--ihwa dong is full of musical actor events!
we then travelled to everland using a taxi! it was such a long and bumpy ride T-T i got motion sickness before we even reached everland and got to go on any rides!
it was quite busy but i'd say not to an extent that it was bothersome? the waiting times were pretty long, up to an hour, but the lines would move so quickly as everything was so efficient. the park was also just so large that the business was not noticeable.
T and E wanted to go on a viking ride first. going on even just the swings makes me feel sick, so i decided to sit out. i had to eait for an hour so i walked around and scoped things out! it's kind of like disneyland but there were a lot of pretty flower gardens and stuffs >_<
still... a lot of uphills and on such a warm day,, it killed me T-T
i went back and stood by the ride for half an hour. i didn't notice i was standing by a smoker's pit, and that gave me a headache so i was grumpy for the rest of my wait. but when T and E got off, they were super nice! they told me we can go on any ride i want.. i found this pretty chill ride in the kids' area (oh yeah,, i'm not the best with rides >_< i have to warm up to them!). it went backwards the whole way and was train-themed. honestly, i thought it woukd be scary, but it wasn't at all! it was more just fun and chill !!
we walked around a bit and ate some pasta at a restaurant. T found a hair in her pizza so they gave us a completely new one! they were really kind and apologetic.
everland has this big killer ride that you can see from anywhere in the park. T and E love rides, so of course they wanted to go on it. i'm definitely not on that level yet. if you know canada's wonderland.. this ride was like my leviathan. i think the biggest ride i've been on at wonderland is maybe the mine buster T-T this ride was like the mine buster but so much bigger and longer.. a bit smaller than the leviathan but when we reched the drop, i could see the whole park !
so yeah, spoiler, i rode it.
my knees were so weak as i waited in line, but it was amusing seeing other people so scared for their lives, too. it was like hey ! we're all in this together !!!
on the ride, T sat next to me and held my hand. i warned her, i warned T and E that when i'm on a ride,, my screams don't sound like me. i have a bit of a more low toned voice but my screams come out like Haruto's (if you know him?). he's very low-toned but screams like a 12-year old T-T
the whole ride, i was fearing for my life while T laughed next to me because my screams were apparently hilarious. that ride was so damn long it just wouldn't end !
i hated every second but i was glad i did it. since i paid ₩64,000 to get in, i was like hey, gotta get my money's worth!
we went on another big ride that had a few loops. E sat next to me and this one and even held my hand? the rascal.
that one was more bearable because it was shorter.
oh! i forgot to mention that everland has a zoo, so we took a look at the animals ! i found han jisung (quokka) and E was way too impressed by the capybaras. they had this gated area where alpacas and capybaras were freely roaming, and the capybara literally walked right past us!
sadly, we missed the sea lions and pandas. T was sad but i was content!
we went to a gift shop before leaving (everland has the cutest souveniers. p.s. E and T wore matching headbands .... yikes)
we took the bus home and it was a bumpy ride (stream super bumpy by wei). we were exhausted when we got home but it was a fun day !! we got some snacks from the convenienve store to eat at home before we slept :-]
may 15th was YOSHINORI DAY! i found some cafés in advance and though i was so dead and tired, i managed to leave the house at 1pm after having toast for breakfast. the cafés were oddly far apart so it was a lot of walking for such a warm day, and especially for the day after wonderland, i was truly dead.
the cafés were busy and that made me happy?? usually, i've never seen them this busy. for Yoshi to be getting this much love cheered me up ^^
i saw Tina, a friend of a friend of a friend (ㅠㅠ) ! she looked pretty, as always ♡_♡ i was near hapjeong and the yg café is by there, so i made my way there and a lot of people were waiting by the yg building for treasure. i went into the yg café to buy stuff first--treasure had new merch and i wanted to cop! everything was sold out except for the photobook but it was still such a good purchase ☆_☆ it came with so many things..
after that, i joined everyone in waiting and mamaged to see ikon T-T all 6 members! they had finished a schedule and were tired, but seeing Bobby prance inside the building like that made my day:")
i waited a bit more but my body was aching because i was carrrying around my laptop and everything, plus the photobook and Yoshi day goods, so i just went home.
near hyehwa, i went to a curry place. it was reallu good ♡_♡
below are some rough drafts of logs i didn't get to finish,, but i still wnated to upload thos T-T
may 19th, cu breakfast (T made me run!!!), waterfall, viewing point of lava rocks, eat at pasta and omlet, more waterfalls + solo with Annie to last waterfall, onol café, yacht tour, black pork bbq
may 20th, tea museum, innisfree, chungchundang meat croquet,, yum!, to a flower garden/botanical garden, lots of gifts for friends, food market and jokbal, crab cheese, hallabong
may 21st, check our and go up north to new hotel, go to beach, Aileen lost t money card :( Annie brought melted ice cream, ate chicken there and got a duck floatie, came back and went out for seafood
may 22nd, cu breakfast, feet hurting like crazy, went
reporting live from the worst day ever ^^ well, maybe it's an exaggeration.. but let me skip to the worst part. ah, well all of today was bad. so let's start from the top. at 5:30am, T's alarm went off in our jeju hotel. i don't even remember the name of the hotel.. T-T covernant? governant? it was fancy.. but the utilities were so little.. anyways! we rushed to pack and had to squeeze a lot into our small suitcases. T gave me a teabag to shove in and i had to hold her oranges.
i've realized one of my biggest pet peeves is holding people's stuff for them. putting your stuff in my bag because your bag isn't big enough. making me hold your things. it's okay if it's once every now and then, but when i tell you i was abused on this jeju trip and told to hold people's things constantly just so they could have a whole photoshoot or run to the bathroom. of course, i always bring a large bag because i know i'll need it, and these girls asked me to stuff their whole lives in their cause their tight little purses wouldn't fit their water bottles and portable chargers.
it's okay if it's one time but next time, bring a bigger bag. i don't care if it ruins your look. if i'm making a bigger bag work, then so can you.
anyways, somehow we left. my foot still aches like a ,,, [swear word] ,,, so i'm limping and T is speeding ahead. these last 2 days, everyone was always speeding ahead. i think only Annie would wait for me from time to time. i felt so neglected..
we missed our bus and the next one came an hour later, so we got a taxi, or else we'd miss the flight. i paid for the taxi because i felt bad for asking T to check out, but lowkey why did i feel bad? maam always asking me to hold her stuff and order food for her everywhere,, i should've been proud i spoke my mind for once!
at the airport, we check our bags and T goes to the gate while i go to 7 eleven for breakdast. i bought bbang (bread), triangle gimbap and a hershey's choco milk (heavenly, truly). then i hobble back and we board.
someone was supposed to sit in our window seat but there was no one, so T and i had extra room. T knocked out right away but i was mostly awake, listening to Eric Nam's there and back again.
once we arrived we took the 601 straight to our place. it was an hour bus ride and i was separated from T while we rode, since it was a little packed. it was boiling hot when we got off and i don't know by what kind of strength we hauled our suitcases up the uphills and to our rooms but we did!
i only had time to finish eating (since on the plane i only ate my bread,, cause of covid i felt so uncomfy eating) and use the bathroom, pack my bag and leave.
we went straight to class.
we took our korean class and then i remembered i need to apply for my insurance exclusion. basically, since i have my registration card now, i'm enrolled for korean insurance. but i have private insurance, so i needed to show them this so i could be exempt from paying the korean insurance (₩50, 000 per month).
i took my last class of the day on zoom as i took the bus home to grab my documents, then walk to dongdaemun and subway to sindorim to go to the nhis centre for foreign residents.
i went into the wrong building and asked for directions--someone kindly redirected me. then, in the right building, i didn't know which floor and had to ask again.
up to the third floor i went! i had to get a ticket and wait in line, i was #313... and was faced with a middle aged man. i showed him my documents and he said i need to get korean translations and come back. my whole heart dropped. it had been such a long day up to that point and i had skipped class to go there. so i asked why he couldn't just look at a papago translation. he said no, i need paper translations. i told him i'm out of time--i was required to pay for the nhis by may 25th, 2 days from now, and don't have time to come back. he said it's fine if i come back later.
i walked away with tears in ny eyes. it had been such. a long. day.
but i didn't want to give up.
i took the subway to a print café so i could print papago translations. honestly, had this been a younger version of me, i would've headed home and cried. i guess i've got some meat on me now--i know how to take things when it all falls apart.
at the print café, i didn't know how to print because everything was in korean. luckily, someone else was in there, too, and i asked them for help. she was so nice and made sure i got everything printed correctly. even though no use came of the documents, i'm still so grateful. she was the first person to show me such kindness that day.
i say 'that day' as if this didn't all literally happen today. it feels like a week ago because of how long the day was.
i took the subway back and the nhis was empty, no wait time! i was met with another middle aged man who asked for my documents.
let me tell you these people spoke no english. in a foreign centre. no. english.
i used my my broken korean and there was still miscommunication. according to him, my insurance is supposed to cover 1 billion dollars. it only covers 5 million dollars, but this made no sense to me. 1 billion dollars is way too high an amount. i kept asking him if he meant 1 billion won, which would be 1 million dollars. he said no, it's dollars. i'm still sure he's wrong, because i remember it being 1 million dollars of coverage that was required.
it wasn't getting through to him, so he gave me a bill for ₩100,000 and told me to pay it at ny bank. i'm pissed and upset and frustrated at this point because it's taken a lot to get there and i have paid $1000 for travel insurance only to pay 100 more.
i accepted defeat and left. only to be met with the hell that is the korean subway durinf rush hour. when i say we were packed like sardines i mean so packed that i could feel everyone's limbs on every part of me. i was pushed and shoved and thrown around and close to tears because it's been such a long day and i just. want. to go. home.
nonetheless, i had to endure it. i got off at hyehwa and went straight to my favourite karaoke spot. it was a weekday so a lot of rooms were free. i sang my heart out to some day6 songs, yelling to clear my head.
i felt a lot better afterward ^^
i honestly had no appetite to eat.. i didn't want to eat but thought i should, since i had only eaten bread and gimbap so far. i found a place called 미정국수. it was downstairs and i accidentally went upstairs at first to a tarot place.
downstairs, these two ladies were running the place. i ordered at a kiosk and honestly don't even remember what i bought! it was a small space but not too busy. i sat at one of those tables that face the kitchen and stretch around.
the food was heavenly :") it was such a large portion for only ₩6,000 and there were a lot of veggies in there.
i headed home after that and went to gongcha for a jeju matcha milk tea. it honestly didn't hit the same, but at this point i was feeling a lot better. my family didn't answer my calls this day and i felt so isolated as T was busy with yet another friend of hers who is visiting from canada (shes a sweetie!). yet, i made the most of it.
that's what i love about seoul. it's so easy to cheer yourself up because there's so much to do! cheap eats, karaoke.. everything so nearby, too.
also, i'm learning that i can be alone. i can do it. it just takes a little more effort and holding out. i held out through all the tears and pain, many months i was feeling so alone and now i'm fine. it's been a month now of me feeling okay and comfy here--not alone and not dying for friends. i'm okay being alone here. i'n okay eating on my own and finding things to do on my own.
if i can do it... so can you ♡
p.s. the laundry machine is broken and i have to find a laundromat.. all my clothes are dirty because jeju T-T

The Inbetween - Chapter 3
Read on AO3 / Last chapter
Taako wakes up the following night by the sound of a door slamming shut.
This night, there’s no moonlight to illuminate the room and he can only see the vague shapes of his furniture around the room. It’s raining outside, light spring rain that makes small tapping noises when it hits the window.
The second door slams shut. Taako can’t hear anyone moving through the house, he should be the only one inside. But of course things aren’t that simple.
Just like the night before, he feels a chill running down his back and Taako knows there’s something else in his room. It’s as real to him as the rain outside, even if it shouldn’t be. There’s a lot of things that should be a certain way in the house that aren’t. The uncanny feeling of fear shouldn’t be the same as last night, Taako is sure he knows what will happen, but it doesn’t make it better.
The clock’s ticking is uneven sometimes skipping over a second or two and then jumping over a second the next, Taako doesn’t know how much time has passed. He is facing the opposite wall, and this time he’s not turning around. If he looks in the mirror he might be able to catch a glimpse of it, but no. He’s not going to do that. Taako is going to close his eyes and pretend to be asleep and hope that the dark void goes away. The door to his closet opens, and Taako squeezes his eyes shut even harder.
The hinges protest lightly, and he doesn’t want to think about why the doors are moving, so he focuses on breathing slowly. In… Out… In… Out…
The thing in his room is breathing in the same pace as him, and it takes everything he’s got for Taako to not shudder and give himself away. It doesn’t seem to do anything for a long while, but then Taako can feel it looking at him, observing, before there’s a new sound.
It reminds Taako of the way the cat Lup had brought home scratches on the door whenever she wants to go outside, but it’s more blunt and it’s coming from the wardrobe. It might be the thing doing the noise, but Taako hadn’t thought it had a physical shape, and it doesn’t sound like it’s coming from inside the room. It sounds like it’s from behind the thin wood of the back of the closet, which is strange but not stranger than anything else in this house.
And then the thing speaks, and Taako recognises it as that woman on the TV yesterday. My heart, my poor poor heart… But it’s much quieter than before, like the thing doesn’t want to wake Taako up.
The phrase repeats itself over and over again, and Taako deparetly doesn’t want to fall asleep with that thing in his room, but it’s getting harder and harder to focus on the noise. So he blinks open one eye, and stares at the wall. It feels daring, like the void will notice him and- well, Taako doesn’t know what it would do but surely something. Still, staring at a wall with the sound of rain and a overused phrase in the background doesn’t make him more awake.
He lets his eyes wander around the room for a bit, and in the end, Taako’s gaze is drawn to the mirror.
He can’t see clearly, but the thing has changed it’s form. Instead of looking like just a non specific shape, now it looks humanoid, but there’s something very off about it. It’s arms are too long and thin, and its torso looks weird, like someone had sucked out all the inner organs and bones and just left the skin. It got a head, and Taako can see one of the glowing orbs in place of eyes from the mirror, moving around a bit over the darkness.
It’s sitting on front of the wardrobe, not scratching at the wood like Taako thought, but simply staring into it as the scratching continues. The woman’s voice stops, and there’s a deep sigh, before it stands up and goes back to its usual form and slips inside the closet.
Before the door closes, one of the orbs looks in the mirror and Taako looks back at it. His heart is beating loudly, and it feels like it drowns out all other noise in the room. Maybe it is. But the void doesn’t do anything, just stares at him until the door closes completely, leaving Taako with his beating heart and a wrongly ticking clock and rain.
Nothing feels real. Taako can barely keep his eyes open. It’s too much but at the same time nothing happened, there’s something living in his house and Taako doesn’t know what it’s doing there.
He falls asleep.
----
At 7:30 the next morning Taako’s last set alarm wakes him up. He doesn’t feel well rested, and he only has an hour before he’s supposed to be in the kitchen of his restaurant. There’s 2 good things about working in the kitchen, 1, he doesn’t have to wear makeup because it would smear, and 2, he doesn’t have to wear any fancy clothes because of the uniform-rule the kitchen had in place.
But it doesn’t make it any easier for Taako to get out of bed and grab the clothes he needs for the day before stumbling into the bathroom to put everything on. When Taako looks at his reflection in the bathroom mirror, he can’t help but cringe. Clearly the night had not been merciful on his hair, now it looked like a birds nest that had been put together during a storm. But he doesn’t have time to shower so Taako simply puts his brush under a hot stream of water from the sink and nearly rips his hair off trying to force it trough.
Most of the knots in his hair come undone but Taako still braids it, mostly to avoid it getting in the way of him cooking but also because it looked better. The warm water has fogged up the mirror and when Taako reches forward to wipe it off, there’s something else reflecting behind the fog. The two glowing orbs are looking at him.
Taako whips his head around to stare at the wall behind him. Nothing. But the orbs are still looking at him from behind the mirror.
He takes one last look behind him, and then Taako runs out of the house, nearly missing to both grab his coat and locking the door before he’s in the car. His heart doesn't stop being until he has arrived to work.
Taako comes home sometime after 6 feeling tired and ready to go the sleep. He walks the short way from his car to the house and frowns as he gets closer. Taako was pretty sure that he had turned all the lights off before he went to work, so why was there light coming from the kitchen windows? It’s stupid question. There’s only one other thing that exists in Taako’s house.
Suddenly, he didn’t feel so excited to be home.
Slowly, Taako sticks the key into the lock and turns it around but he doesn’t open the door, not immediately. Instead he looks around, sighs and goes inside.
Nothing seems odd at first. Taako takes of his coat and hangs it up and then goes into the kitchen. The TV is on.
The void is standing beside it, shapeless with its orbs focusing on Taako. Around the edges of it, static is moving and the TV seems to be switching channels randomly.

Fashion and the Workplace: Considerations about the Attire's Role in the Organisational Environment- Juniper Publishers
Introduction
From the earliest times, individuals have been concerned with covering its body. Whilst modesty was one motivation, other interpretations indicate that humans covered their bodies both to protect and to adorn themselves. For centuries, clothing and ornament have been used by individuals and society as tools of non-verbal communication [1,2]. The study of clothing is therefore not limited to fashion; on the contrary, clothing can be investigated from different scientific perspectives and using the paradigms of different disciplines. Thus, it incorporates conceptual models that have their foundations in distinct branches of science [3].
Choice of attire, and in particular of what is worn to the workplace, is encompassed within the daily decision-making process of individuals. It has the potential to impact both on physical and mental comfort and may impact in the way the individual conducts his or her activities within the organisation. In the business sphere, the suit plays an important role and can influence the organisational environment. This piece seeks to explore some of the different roles of attire in society and within the work environment.
The role of clothing in society
Studies on the evolution and role of clothing in the society indicate that even in prehistory early humans were already concerned about covering their bodies. Whilst modesty may have been an aspect of this, other interpretations indicate that people covered their bodies in order to both protect and adorn themselves [4]. Wearing clothes to protect oneself from cold or physical damage in a harsh environment is associated with the survival instinct. Under the prism of adornment, the wearing of leaves and animal skins by an individual can be interpreted as a method by which individuals sought to impose power and authority on others. Themselves on others. The wearing of the teeth and claws of ferocious animals can be seen as a show of bravado and strength.
Under this interpretation, clothing and ornament have been used formillenia by both individuals and society as a tool of nonverbal communication [1,2] indicating the social position, occupation, locality, sexual availability or affiliation to a particular group [1,5]. The attire and the occasion on which it is worn allows for a superficial interpretation of the social situation of the wearer based only on physical appearance [1]. The individual elements of appearance - for example a suit and accessories that complement it - are summed a whole that encompass indissociably practical and symbolic aspects [6].
According to Durand [5], people communicate their social class, age group, and sex through clothing. Above all, clothing is an instrument that instantly classifies individuals into social hierarchies [5]. Consequently, clothing establishes an interface between the human being and the natural and cultural environment, having multiple roles whose origins are complex and cannot be analysed using the prism of its functionality alone [7]. Clothing can also take the form of an indicator of moments in the individual's life as part of a group or of the life of a group as part of society [5]. As a result, we can consider the way a person dresses as a sign of their state of mind [5].
From clothing to fashion
Clothing must be fashionable [8]. However, it was only after the middle of the fourteenth century that fashion, in the strict sense, began to impose itself [9]. This was a historical moment in which a radically new type of clothing emerged, which clearly distinguished the genres: long and fair attractive for the woman, short and adjusted fitted for the men. This clothing revolution spread the foundations of modern dress and throughout the second half of the nineteenth century, fashion settled in the modern sense of the term [9].
There is no objective and universal interpretation of the fashion concept, making it difficult to define [1]. The difficulty lies in the complex logic of the phenomenon, which encompasses a multiplicity of social, individual, cultural and aesthetic life factors [9]. Fashion can thus be seen as a universal principle, being one of the elements of civilization. It has meaning beyond simple body covering and is a form of expression [10]. The attitudes, approaches and movements of expression of human beings are influenced by and seen through fashion, turning it into one of the great principles of transformation of societies [10].
The etymological root of the word fashion was inserted in the Italian language around 1650 and is derived from the Latin mos, whose meaning includes: use, custom, habit, tradition, morality, manners, rule, type and law [1]. According to Cavalheiro [7], fashion is a unique and complex phenomenon with social, psychological and behavioural references. Reflection on this theme allows several readings, which help to understand the growth and the behaviour of humanity, from the simple analysis of its evolution [7]. Rech [11] shares [7] thoughts and notes that fashion encompasses sociological, psychological and inherent changes in religion, architecture music, the visual arts, literature, politics, decoration, philosophical perspective and clothing.
To Freyre [12] fashion is the use, habit or style that is generally accepted, changeable over time and results from likes, whims, concepts, or influences of the environment. Freyre [12] adds that fashion is a social or cultural phenomenon, variably coercive, that demands periodic style change, and whose vitality Table 1: Concepts of costume/fashion/clothing under various optics.arises from the need to conquer or maintain, for a certain time, a certain social position. Therefore, fashion is considered one of the objects of reflection of semiology, which consists of any system of symbols and signs mediated by verbal or non-verbal language [2]. It means that fashion rises far above the concept of clothing that protects the body or props that embellish man in his daily life. Fashion is part of people's daily existence, translating personal identities and states of mind.
Fashion is, therefore, more than the mere idea of the costume. In essence, it is a language composed of clothes, footwear, accessories and purses, which have their own meaning and when being coordinated result in the 'look', that is, the external aspect of the individual, a system that brings together the elements within the discourse of clothing [2]. In other words, individuals express and communicate their identity to other people through their appearance [2]. Moreover, an individual can produce an image that is not his or her natural one but is one which he/ she adopts in order to be accepted into a group [2,5]. Table 1 summarizes the main notes on the costume, fashion and clothing identified in the literature.
Attire and communication in the organisation
Both in their organisational and personal lives, people use four ways of communication: verbal, nonverbal, symbolic and paralinguistic [13]. Using the verbal form, the individual communicates through speech or writing, this being the most frequent and familiar form of communication [13]. In the organisation, an example of verbal/oral communication is instruction or direction from a manager, while the memorandum is an example of verbal/written communication [13].
The non-verbal form of communication is rather subtle and ambiguous and can be represented by body posture or gesture [13]. Symbolic communication encompasses the place where the individual lives, the type of clothing he wears, and the decor of the office, for example. Finally, the paralinguistic communication is characterized by the tone of voice, the rhythm with which the individual speaks and the pauses in the discourse, giving special meaning to the communication. For Casado [13] the costume adopted represents a form of symbolic communication used by the individual. Martins & Pinto [14] also interpret clothing as a communication tool. For these authors, the 'dressing' factor, along with others contributes to the construction of what the authors call a visual and sound identification system.
Therefore, clothing is a communication tool used within and by organisations. This is reinforced by the marketing service literature, which states that one way to convey the brand identity is by making use of physical evidence. The employees' attire is part the physical evidence and is heavily used by services firms to communicate the brand identity. For example, many service industries such as mail, transportation services (train, airline and bus companies) and restaurants have uniforms or other dress codes that evidence the role of attire in communicating the brand identity.
The contribution of attire in the formation of organisational culture
Schein [15] developed a concept of work as comprising several dimensions and elaborated a concept of culture through a dynamic model in which culture is learned, transmitted and changed. This author presented three different levels by which the culture of an organisation can be apprehended, namely the level of visible artifacts, level of shared values and level of basic assumptions.
Visible artifacts are easy to perceive but difficult to interpret. Examples include organisational layout structure, behaviour and dress of people, beliefs expressed in documents, rituals and organisational myths [16]. Under this interpretation, the clothing of people in the organisational environment assists individuals in apprehending organisational culture. Moreover, the clothing in the organisational environment can be used as a demarcation of the power space element through the formal dress of the managers [17].
Aligned with the service literature, Yurchisin & Damhorst [18] state that the clothing of the professionals in an organisation helps to form the image of the company. That is, these authors believe that in addition to the identity aspects of the professional, their appearance can also indicate the identity of the organisation.
Attire and personal image in the organisation
The image that a person builds throughout his or her professional life is directly related to his or her behaviour in the work environment. Employees purposely adopt work attire and specific cothing items that express the traits they align to, such as conservatism and authority and that can be associated not only with clothing but also with their roles at work [19].
As outlined above, the way people dress is a recognised language that propagates meanings [20]. Thus, it is important that individuals are aware that their attire can be interpreted as text and that what they wear will communicate meaning to [20]. Consequently, for organisations, it is important that the clothing style used by employees (in the work environment) is coherent with the individual's function, and helps to compose the image that is expected of individuals [21].
In addition, clothing helps the wearer to become a successful executive, helping the individual's sense of confidence [21]. Peluchette & Karl's [22] study of MBA students found that wearing formal business clothes (suits) increased their sense of being trusted and competent as well as their feeling of being in a position of authority. In contrast, the wearing of casual clothes made participants feel friendlier but less productive in a work environment [22]. However, in the absence of a written dress code, individuals would do well to observe what others around them are wearing, irrespective of their own preferences - whilst some rules in the company are clear; others are not formalized [23].
Not only the style but the colour of clothing is an issue. In the organisational context, colour has the potential to be a powerful differentiator, with colour considered a language of extreme importance in the elaboration of the clothing texts [20]. However, little is known about the use of colours in clothing and the use of colours that do not conform to the norm specifically in the workplace setting [20].
Final considerations
After understanding the role of the attire in the routine of the individual and extending this into the work environment, it was verified that, in the business sphere, attire is seen as a communication tool. This tool is based in two principal concepts: 1) the individual communicating with others in his/ her surroundings, considered by Casado [13] as a symbolic form of communication, and 2) the individual representing the company and communicating with its clients by means of the visual standard that includes the suit that uses in the organisation [14], thus composing the company image [18]. In addition to communication, clothing can also be considered as a visible artefact [15] or physical evidence, representing a tool in the process of apprehending organisational culture [16] and conveying it to the market.
In the workplace, the attire helps him/her to express his/her beliefs in certain traits (such as conservatism, authority) which can also be associated with clothing items and, above all, his/her work roles [19]. According to the findings of Peluchette & Karl [22], the use of formal business clothing increases the sense of confidence and competence on the part of respondents, as well as increasing their perception of authority in the environment. The importance of the attire in the business sphere is also verified, with attire both supporting the communication strategy of the organisation within the market, as well reflecting how the individual understands or seeks to position him or herself in the market and or environment in which he/she works [24].

I can’t believe we Ahr almost done
I didn’t want to do any major traveling during my last week in Aachen, so I ended up signing up for a UROP day trip to one of Germany’s wine regions, the Ahrtal Valley (near the Ahr river). This was the perfect amount of activity - a busy Saturday, and then a quiet Sunday to do laundry, run some errands, etc.
I’m so glad I ended up going on the day trip. It was a great group of people, and I reconnected with some people I haven’t seen around much since the first week of the program. In the morning, we took the train to Cologne, then to a small town I forget the name of, then to an even smaller town called Rech. From there, we did the first portion of our small hike, walking 3 km through the vineyards. The weather was foggy but nice, and I captured some photos of the scenery.
The Ahr wine-producing region.
We arrived at a small town and walked to the Mayschoss winery, where we took a tour of the wine cellar. I loved learning about how wine is made. One interesting thing we learned from the guide is that this region uses an eco-friendly method of pest control, placing pheromone capsules on the grape vines to discourage pests from reproducing. I also found it surprising that it’s best not to have too many grapes on a plant - the goal is to cut away the smaller grapes, so the remaining ones receive more nutrition and sunlight and eventually produce better wine. Lastly, I learned that there are two fermentation processes: one with the grape pulp, to impart flavor and color, and one without, to further refine flavor. I haven’t thought much about wine production before, so this was all very interesting.
The guide talked a bit about how climate change has affected the wine region. Apparently, recent summers have had more sun hours, which is quite good for grape production. The winters are warmer, though, so they can’t make Eiswein (a traditional dessert wine made from frozen grapes). The area has a very specific microclimate that I’m sure will continue to change over the years.
Mayschoss wine cellar.
After our tour, we were treated to a wine tasting, sampling a Riesling, a rosé, and two reds, one dry and one (very) sweet. Germany is more known for Riesling (a white wine) but the Ahr region produces some popular red varieties. I’m not sure what my favorite wine was - maybe the Riesling or the rosé. The reds were tasty too, but I do think I prefer the lighter taste of white. Anyways, we all swished around our wine samples and sniffed them to feel like connaisseurs.
The wine tasting menu had a funny, slightly mistranslated poem on it, so I thought I’d share that here.
A questionable poem.
We wrapped up our hike after that, doing another 5 k to a town called Ahrweiler. There, we grabbed a quick dinner, then started the trek back home. It was a long trip - I didn’t get back to my dorm until after midnight - but I liked talking to people on the train, and the commute was totally worth such a cool day!
Now, I’m just focused on wrapping things up here. I’ve been cleaning a bit, starting to plan out packing, getting in some exercise, and also finishing up my research project. There was a little hitch in my work (apparently, one of the images I was working with had been misregistered earlier in the year, so I had to scramble and redo some calculations). But, I should have a poster all set Tuesday and an abstract ready to submit by Wednesday, my last day of work.
On Thursday, we have our research symposium, and on Friday, I will leave with my family and travel with them for a week before returning to Boston. I’m ready to go home and see my friends and family (and eat some real spicy food), but I will really miss some of the people I’ve met here. I’ve been trying to cram in lots of time with friends. Today, I think I’m watching a movie with one of my friends, and will probably try to make plans each night up until the symposium. I may have detested my commute this summer, but socially, it’s been a fun few months.
I have an assigned German buddy through the program, so he’s one of the people I’ve been trying to spend time with before UROP ends. Earlier this week, he took me to a traditional German restaurant, where I eschewed my vegetarian tendencies and ate a schnitzel. It was tasty - I was happy to try something that is considered a traditional meal (although I’ve heard schnitzel actually comes from Austria). And, it was of course nice to talk with my buddy.
Schnitzel with pepper sauce.
It’s still surprising to me how quickly this program has come to a close. The whole thing feels like a blur - sometimes it seems like I’m in the Twilight Zone, but not in a bad way. This is actually my last post before the end of the program. I’ll make another one next week, talking a bit about the symposium and maybe about my travels with my family.
Until then!

With no tourists, fine-dining restaurants in Hong Kong must adapt to survive the coronavirus pandemic
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J On my way home from work on March 11, I received a WhatsApp message from a friend in the hotel industry telling me she had heard that Rech by Alain Ducasse in the InterContinental Hong Kong was closing that evening, and that all the kitchen staff and servers would be laid off.It was shocking news. A big name like Ducasse and a Michelin star retained for three consecutive…

These People Really Care About Fonts
At TypeThursday, a monthly meet-up in cities including Los Angeles; London; and Bucharest, Romania, font designers critique each other’s letterforms over wine. They hold forth about negative space, consistent strokes and serif experimentation. The group’s website bills the gathering as “three hours of fontastic fun.”
But when dozens of professionals congregate to talk about their craft, things can get heated.
“Are those C’s exactly the same?” asked Evan Sult, an art director in Brooklyn, during a TypeThursday event in December in New York. He was examining a designer’s sketches for a Cuban restaurant’s logo. “They don’t look exactly the same.”
“And why should they be?” said Paul Shaw, a type historian who lives in Manhattan.
“Hey, hey, hey! Don’t make me ask the volunteers to get physical,” said Mirko Velimirovic, 28, the event’s organizer, jokingly.
Typefaces are everywhere. The New York City subway communicates mostly in Helvetica. The lifestyle companies advertising in its cars may use another modern sans-serif font or, increasingly, something more retro. Many large tech companies have designed or commissioned their own house styles, including Netflix Sans, Airbnb Cereal, PayPal Sans, Uber Move and Google’s Product Sans. (You are currently reading this in Georgia, by the way.)
Matthew Rechs, a business coach for type designers, whose arms are covered in ampersand tattoos, argued that a font can be a brand’s most potent signifier. For example, “if you try to imagine a bottle of Jack Daniel’s, or really any bottle, without the type on it, you’re left with very little to differentiate it,” he said.
And it’s not just products. Political campaigns may be remembered or forgotten by their choices of fonts. Many of the 2020 Democratic candidates have picked Gotham-like typefaces, which could be a nod to the geometric font used by Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign.
Some were more daring. Before she dropped out of the race, Senator Kamala Harris had run her campaign in Bureau Grotesque or a font very close to it, according to Matthew Butterick, a type designer.
“It’s a little strange and funky looking, and it was used well by the campaign to set her apart,” Mr. Butterick said in a phone interview.
Though their fonts may be widely recognizable, the designers themselves tend not to be. TypeThursday, which began in 2015 at a Manhattan bar and has expanded to eight cities around the world, is a place to put a face to a typeface. And to vent. Because even in the digital age, making fonts is time-consuming, human labor.
“Typography passes for being invisible,” said Jonathan Hoefler, 49, a star designer who has created typefaces for Apple and the 2012 Obama campaign, in a phone interview. “People really don’t think about the fact that typefaces are indeed made by people.”
Juan Villanueva, 31, a designer at Monotype, one of the world’s largest type foundries — as they became known when typefaces were forged out of metal — said that it takes him anywhere from a month to a couple of years to complete a full digital alphabet, beginning with sketching letters in his notebook.
“It’s our job to find subtle differences between each design and see what works specifically for one client or brand,” he said. One of his first tasks at Monotype was to create the Bitcoin symbol for Noto, a Google initiative to create a font family that supports every language.
A lot of Mr. Villanueva’s work involves drawing the same letters over and over at his desk, obsessing about kerning, the squeezing of space between characters.
“It only feels isolating afterward, when you realize you haven’t talked to people for five hours,” he said.
TypeThursday, Mr. Velimirovic said, is both a needed social reprieve and an opportunity for designers to get positive feedback from their peers. That second part is crucial, he said, because typography tends to be an individualist and hypercritical field in which peers regularly try to outwit one another. At TypeThursday, he has made a point to discourage such behavior and foster, instead, a culture of constructive criticism.
“It’s a place where you can go and know that people aren’t going to walk all over you,” said Mr. Velimirovic, who got his first big contracts through friends he had met at the event, eventually taking the reins of the New York monthly meet-up. It now takes place in the offices of the Type Directors Club, a nonprofit that promotes education in type.
Harrison Jude, a graphic designer who attended the event in Manhattan in December, said TypeThursday helped him connect with fellow type lovers whom he would not have otherwise met. At his first meeting, in 2018, a presenter got called out by someone in the audience for a minor typo in his PowerPoint presentation.
“There was just glorious cheering,” Mr. Jude said. “I was like, ‘Oh, yep, these are my people.’”
