thoughts and verdict :

Okay so as you all can sense, I am hooked with dukseon and jungpal. When I am half way finishing the drama, I already sounded that its not Jungpal that's going to be Dukseon's man when she said in an interview "He must really like me back then" while the future dukseon and her husband is looking at a picture. *Picture below*

I even tweeted that I'll cry if its not going to be my jungpal. Anyways, Let's talk more about them and their moments. Of course my top moments of them: The Trap in an alley scene. Here, they had to run cuz the teacher is chasing them but dukseon tripped so jungpal helped him and they changed their direction,bc of that the teacher had to choose w/c path will he take and he went straight to get the other 2 boys that's also in the run. THAT'S when this happen skskajshak they were trapped in an alley and i- I can't explain go watch it its superr worth it!!! 😭❤️ This is so manly for me (1)

Onto the next moment: When Duk Seon hid behind Jung Hwan's back. Ok so here, duk seon was being chased by her mother for the reason that she lost her "family's treasure", their camera while on the trip. Duk Seon went outside to run and bumped into Jung Hwan. She hid behind him and i- ajxbakkakakaka idk y can't i explain BUT please do watch it, REALLY WORTH ITTTT!!

Moving on to the next moment: The Bus Scene. In this scene, Jungpal seemed really bothered because the bus is always full, and the driver seems to not being careful as the standing passenger always loose their balance. Afar from Duk Seon, Jung Hwan came to her and stand on her back so the people behind Duk Seon will no longer bump into her. Again, this is so manly for meee(2) kshakaka. GO AND WATCH IT!!!

Next moment: The Don't go on the blind date. Skahsjaka okAy im nOt finE aT aLl. This really sends me until now...😭

To make it clear here's the summary of the scene: cuz i can't explain anymore my heart is still pounding even after i watched it many times😭 Again and again, This is so manly for me (3) GO WATCH NOW

Those lines are the most heartbreaking and unforgettable quotes from Kim Jung Hwan of K-Drama Reply 1988. For #TeamJungHwan (yes, I’m here too guys), we can never ever forget those lines and how broken he is. When he was going to concert venue to meet DukSeon, but he trapped in the traffic lights. Then when he arrived, he saw DukSeon was with someone else, Choi Taek, his best friend, their best friend. In other moment, JungHwan got the chance to confess his feelings for DukSeon in front of SunWoo and DongRyung. BUT IDK WHY THEY TAKE IT AS IF IT IS A JOKE !!! Padahal JungHwan udah ngomong serius, ngeluarin cincin buat DukSeon, DukSeon juga udah senyum2 *(hey cewe mana yg ga seneng ditembak gebetannya sambil dikasih cincin ?) (yeah, we know that actually DukSeon also had a crush for JungHwan)* TAPI BUSET ITU DONGRYUNG NGERUSAK SUASANA AJA !!!! JungHwan had a feelings for DukSeon for a long time. He didn’t tell DukSeon because he knows that Choi Taek, HIS BEST FRIEND, like her as well. Gila sih udah mendem perasaan lama-lama, pas mau ungkapin eh keduluan yg lain, mana keduluan sahabat sendiri lagi *hug JungHwan*.

Until now, Kim Jung Hwan is the ultimate icon of second lead syndrome and still gave me (I mean US, #TeamJungHwan) the worst pain of having that syndrome. Pas nonton pertama kali sih belom gimana2, pas kedua, ketiga, keempat kalinya (asli ini sih nyari penyakit banget rewatching Reply 1988, apalagi ngulangnya cuma ep 18-19)....DOOOH MY HEART IS AMBYARRRR MAS !!!! Like he told at those lines, he didn’t blame traffic lights or THAT DAMN TIMING. At the end, he realize that it was all because his hesitations, yeah, HESITATIONS !

Kim Jung Hwan - My real MVP

I can’t imagine myself not watching Reply 1988 in the coming days. Just like with 1994, it took me long to finish this series.

You’ll find scenes boring. Not because the storyline was, but because you’re very familiar with it. You’ve always seen life as it is and you’ll feel that way too once you see Reply 1988 (I bet it’s the whole Reply series.) Please know that I cried since episode 1 but I broke down at episode 17 onwards.

The most intriguing part on watching this drama is waiting for whom Duk Seon will end up with.

1. Sung Sun Woo - 덕선의 첫사랑 One of her childhood friends. Her first love. Duk Seon-ui cheos sarang. First time she ever assumed of being liked by someone. She even wrote a post card to him confessing her feelings. In December of 1988, Sun Woo confessed to his first love. Turns out, it’s Sung Bo Ra. Sun Woo’s first and last love. Uri Bo Ra noona.

2. Choi Taek - 덕선의 운명의 사랑 Mr. Nice guy. The guy whom Duk Seon always thought of as a friend. Like a younger brother. She’s been taking care of him not knowing he’s completely fallen for her. The guy who even thought of not pursuing her for the sake of his friendship with Jung Hwan. Taek was only one who was totally aware of the fact that Jung Hwan loved Duk Seon. Uri Choi Taek 9-dan. Uri Baduk chaempieon. Saranghae, Duk Seon-ui nampyeon.

3. Kim Jung Hwan - 덕선의 비밀사랑 The guy who’s been consistently inconsistent with uri Duk Seon. He’s been acting back and forth. Been a really bad boy. Nevertheless, I have totally fallen for him. The one I’ve pleaded to end up with Duk Seon. The guy who gave pink gloves as Christmas gift to our Duk Seon, without her asking. The guy who has always teased and said things that hurt Duk Seon. The guy who, deep-inside, felt for Duk Seon. Who’s always been happy about Sun Woo liking Bo Ra instead of Duk Seon, because he knew then that he had better chances. The guy who directly told Duk Seon not to go on blind dates. The guy who drove to the concert hall the moment he thought Duk Seon was going alone, but ended up coming after Taek did. The guy who always laughed at how ridiculous and how ridiculously beautiful our Duk Seon is. The guy who loved how silly Duk Seon was to always play along with his father. The guy who always waited for Duk Seon in the morning so they can go ride the bus together, who stood at her back in the bus so he can keep her from falling and being (unintentionally) touched by other men on the ride. The MAN who, after all those years, directly and openly confessed his feelings to our Duk Seon in a restaurant in front of their friends, but claimed it to be just a joke. The man who made me cry all over. Nae MVP. The guy I will never easily get over with. 내 진짜 MVP. Haengbokhage haejuseyo, Jung Hwan!

But fate and timing aren’t just coincidences that find you. They are miraculous moments made from numerous coices arising out of earnestness. Surender and decision, without hesitation, that what makes timing. He (Taek) was more courageous. It was not traffic light’s fault. I was not timing. It was many hesitations.
