I'm bored so here's times the others have used their tools for other uses
Signal:
Used a batarang to open an amazon package
Spoiler:
Attempted to use a grappling hook to grab the remote without getting up
Red Robin:
Brought a smoke pellet to school and used it to set off the fire alarm to get out of a quiz
Robin:
Sprayed shark repellent at a group of teenagers that wouldn't leave a cat alone
Oracle:
I know better then to tattle on her
Nightwing:
Used his escrima sticks to charge his phone (it somehow worked)
Red Hood:
Ran out of bullets so he just... threw his gun... and then various stones...
Batman:
Used night vision goggles to get a midnight snack when he was supposed to be resting
Jarro:
He's never done anything wrong, he's perfect
Bluebird:
Tased Robin who insisted he needed to know what it felt like
Batwoman:
Threw her batarang to turn off the lights without getting up
Batwing:
Used his suit to fly up on a roof to get a frisbee he threw up there when playing with ace the bathound
Huntress:
Used an arrow as a fork to avoid doing dishes

Heard you were peckish.
Here’s a Fenhanders snack:
“I can’t do this anymore,” Anders gasped, leaning against a tree for support. He slapped a sharp sting on his forearm, cursing loudly under his breath.
“Stop whinging,” Fenris griped, plucking the bug repellent from his pack. He sprayed a thin layer down Anders’ arm, throbbing pink with heat rash and mosquito bites.
“Just because they’re not attracted to you doesn’t mean you can rub it in,” Anders snapped, wiping sweat from his brow. Fenris shot him an exasperated glare before tucking the spray away.
“Both of you. Pack it in,” Hawke griped, closing a hand around Anders’ arm. He dragged him off the tree, away from the lake and back toward the campsite. Twigs snapped underfoot, tapering off into silence as Fenris followed in their wake.
“Why did I even agree to this? I wanted the beach! I wanted to swim,” Anders groaned, being dragged across the forest floor like a cat on a leash.
“You just swam,” Fenris rolled his eyes, raking fingers through his damp hair. He anchored the rear, pushing the pack forward until their campsite loomed into view.
“Do you always have to be such a princess?” Hawke sighed, pushing Anders toward the tent. He stumbled forward, catching his balance to throw a glance back at them.
“Yes, just not of the pillow variety,” he sniffed.
“We’ll be the judge of that,” Hawke grunted, zipping the flap open.
“In you go.”
BLESS
Here is them later in the tent

Bought a cat repellant spray to keep the cats away from a piece of new furniture and it uh. Kind of worked? But I sprayed it and both cats immediately came over like “what the FUCK is that smell?” And then they tried to “bury” it for several minutes before finally giving up.

Another Loss
Content warning: pet loss
It would seem 2025 is not going well for me and mine, at least in terms of our pets. Earlier today, at work no less, I saw the family chat app pop up on my cellphone.
"We lost Selene."
Shocked, there was a lot of back and forth, all while I was working and trying not to cry while on the phone with clients.
Selene was one of the babies, just 5 months old. A feisty little thing, who tried to sneak attack us every time we walked by. Go after our fingers. Blithely break the rules about being on the counter all the damned time.
She was a tiny thing, half the size of her brothers.
And she's gone.
Near as we can tell... for her... it was accidental poisoning. A goddamned pet spray poisoned her. A pet spray that was supposed to be pet safe.
It had fucking garlic oil in it. Garlic is toxic for cats.
My daughter-in-law had bought this anti "don't spray there" pet spray. Meant for cats. Meant to repel them so they'd stop going to this one corner. Only Selene and her mother favored that corner.
That corner was sprayed last night.
Today, Selene is gone.
All the signs of what happened to her point to poisoning. Within a day, she was gone. It was that potent.
Three pets in... far too short of a time. Each one lost because of different reasons, and it's just... too much.
We are all very sad, very devastated. My daughter-in-law and my daughter more than me... because they were there when Selene passed. I wish I could say she passed quickly.
In trusting a company to be aware of what was and wasn't safe for animals, we didn't check the ingredients. We're going to carry that grief and guilt for a long time.

Hello
My old introduction message was not very good so I’m gonna do a new one.
But first off, don't send me donation asks. I do not have enough money or a big enough following to where it will help you, and the only thing it’s gonna accomplish is making people feel bad without actually doing anything. If you send one, it will be deleted.
Hello. My name is AroaceGarlicBreadLover/AceLoverofGarlicBread but you can also just call me Fabbe, I am an INFP aroace, and this is my blog where I will primarily talk about aspec stuff, but possibly other things as well rarely. And even though this blog is primarily intended to be for aspec people, basically anyone is accepted here as long as you don’t discriminate against others. However, I mostly direct all my posts at aspec people (Such as most of my polls being directed at aspec people specifically and having one option for non-aspec people in general), so you may feel a bit left out if you’re not.
https://en.pronouns.page/@GarlicBreadAAAAA
I am an introvert, and not very good at being social and talking to people, so i may be a bit awkward to talk to and I’m not very self confident so I often change my mind instantly after posting something and delete it right after so if you see me having posted something and then it’s gone, that’s probably why, and if it’s not deleted then I have most likely edited the post several times (Such as this entire part being something I put in after posting this)
This I tend to write very long messages very often to make sure I convey everything I wanna convey, so sorry about that.
My interests outside of mentioning that I’m aroace every 5 seconds are mostly writing stories, Playing Minecraft (Mostly being in fan-made life series if you know what that is, but it’s pretty niche so I doubt anyone will), and anything related to Undertale/Deltarune (I love UT/DR so much, I am absolutely obsessed with it), including AUs and such, and I’m also interested in just playing other video games as well, but Minecraft, Undertale, and Deltarune are my favorite ones.
I am openly Aroace both irl and online, so basically everyone who knows me pretty well also knows that I’m aroace at this point, although no one except my close friends and such in my school knows, as some people there are a bit queerphobic. I live in Europe.
I am okay with suggestive jokes and stuff like that, but only from other people who are also minors. People that aren’t minors can still follow and interact with me, but then don’t make suggestive jokes please.
Hope you have a good time here!
LORE (Not really):
I have 3 worms thanks to i-give-worms
I have also have giant orange fuzzy worm pet
I have an apple
I also have too many kiwis - 502
I have a curse where all my Garlic Bread also contains onions, but it can be fixed by using silver plates
I have a strong shield that repels kiwis
I was given 5 nekomimi (Which means with cat ears if google didn’t lie to me) kids, named Karl, Max, Jerry, Tom and Hajime. I am not prepared for children but yeahh… when they grow up I’ll put them in my Garlic Bread factory or smth. Apparently they go crazy over cat nip…
I have a really big box of garlic chicken tenders
I have a spray bottle
Selling hoodies with silhouettes of purple bats!! 8 left in stock!! They cost 2 Garlic Bread each!!
I have a skeleton skull that seems to possess the ghost of a French sailor
I have a snek and a birb :D

Have any headcanons about Annabeth's childhood at camp(or pre camp either one)?
I’m so sorry I took a while to respond I’m on a trip so I don’t check my phone much but I do have some headcanons, most that I came up with and some that I’ve heard others say
- She is a fast eater from being rushed to finish eating while in the streets so that monsters don’t get to her. In fact, I would say most demigods are fast eaters since they need to be for quests where they don’t have much time to stop.
- Not really about Annabeth but the Athena cabin has a special cabinet full— and I mean FULL— of spider repellents, spider traps, and citrus sprays.
- She makes friendship bracelets (the yarn kind) for all of her friends and she’s good at it since Athena is also the goddess of weaving, a trait Annabeth was seen to have in Mark of Athena. And she makes the bracelets in theme with the person she gives it to.
- Her and Magnus used to play with legos because she wanted to and she’s bossy :). She still likes them but she won’t admit it, so her siblings give her a big box of Lego’s for one of her birthdays and her and Leo build stuff together in secret where no one will see them.
- When she would get in trouble in her dad’s house, her stepmom would lock her in the pantry.
- She had a cat before she ran away. She likes cats. They chill with her while she works/reads.
- Apart from the color of Percy’s eyes, her favorite color is purple (this is a protest against her favorite color being gray just bc it’s her eye color, that’s just a no).
- She used to search up every kid that came to camp half blood in hopes that they would be the prophecy kid and could be the one to get her a quest.
- Minecraft was a gift sent from Heaven and when it first came out, and though she’s older here she didn’t come out of her cabin for DAYS because she was too busy making the most epic buildings ever. Hell, her siblings wanted to play too but Annabeth was the only one who could on her laptop and she wasn’t gonna share.
- She’s the kid that screamed at everyone in P.E. She took four square too seriously, and don’t even think about trying to beat her at wall-ball.
- The elementary school librarian hated her because they were so done with her complaining that they only had silly kids books.
- Her teddy bear that she canonically has came from one of her old teachers that noticed how lonely she was so for the class’ white elephant (a gift exchange), she gave her a teddy bear. Annabeth teared up.
- While she was a run away, she befriended a stray dog that followed her everywhere until it left and never came back. Annabeth was heartbroken.
That’s all I could come up with but thank you so much for the ask it was fun!

I'm ready for blood!
Neighborhood cats knocked over three finch nests on my property this year. At this point I'm tempted to make those cats 'disappear'. Any of your cat followers have ideas on keeping cats away? I've tried trap-and-release cages and smelly spray repellents, but none worked on keeping those invasive pests away.
My take on cats is attracting more of them, but @captainsquare may know something, granted his thing is also attracting them so we might come up empty there too.
Maybe he or someone at the shelter may know something.
Maybe making something out of chicken wire birds can get through but the cats can't the best I can think currently.
Anyone that has anything feel free to send to me or Sam up there

yet another tag game!
Thank you for the tag, @ghostymarni!! This was fun! 🥰
“I feel like most of the "get to know you" games use similar questions, so I wanted to try something new and a little weirder. Just answer the questions in a new post and tag anyone else you want to play!”
any eating utensils preference? Forks with long, skinny tines
a genre of music you love? I LOVE divorced dad rock, but also country and German metal
a type of seasoning or condiment that would make anything edible for you? Anything ranch. Ranch dressing, ranch seasoning, and I love it!
pens or pencils? Pens. Specifically the Pilot Precise V5
what's your weirdest most interesting hobby? I collect Breyer horses! I also create dioramas to compete in photo shows with them!
if you had to get rid of one color entirely, what would it be? International Klein Blue. It gives me a headache to look at it.
any allergies? Mold, and people
favorite fictional character? God this is a tough one. Probably Arthur Morgan, Darth Maul or Simon Riley (I'm sure there's a trend with those answers lol)
favorite real person that you don't personally know? Barack Obama. He just seems so genuine and knowledgeable, and I'd love to pick his brain.
how many alarms do you have set? Two. One to wake up and one to leave.
do you have pets? do you want some? Yes! I have a horse and two cats :)
favorite drink, alcoholic or non? Water, I'm boring.
favorite smell? The Equicare Flysect Super 7 Repellant Spray
favorite shoes? My old torn up Justins boots. The inside lining is ripped out and they're partially held together by duct tape on the inside, but damn if they aren't the best shoes I've got. A little leather balm and they're practically show ready!
how do you feel about bugs + spiders? I hate them purely because of how irritating they are to deal with when it comes to my horse. Found a black widow on her the other day and I nearly had a heart attack! Aesthetically I love them though.
outdoors or indoors? Outdoors!
sunny or rainy? My heart says rainy but practicality forces me to choose sunny.
where would you like to visit? would you move there? Everywhere! Specifically the UK and Australia. I'll always return back to my small town though :)
are you a people person? no
at what temperature do you keep your home (or would if you could? 69⁰ Fahrenheit. I can't handle heat in any form, so everything is always cold for me.
Tags!! (Hey y'all, it's me, Carbon! Sorry if I tag you and you've already done it; I've been kinda MIA recently)

i wish it hadent come to this, but im desperate. Usually youd just be able to look up "how to get meowth to stop peeing on curtians" and buy some repel spray and call it a day but this has been plauging me for months now. How do i get my meowth to stop shitting in the bathtub??????? she has a clean litterbox, she uses it frequenty, she dosent seem to have any issues with it, and yet every two to three weeks ill head into the bathroom to find a fat shit. ITS NOT EVEN FREQUENT EITHER??? ITS NOT A DAILY PROBLEM??? she just wakes up some days and goes "yeah ill poop in here today". i cant exatly use repels in the tub because i need to use it, and her box has never been in this room. any tips on how to get her to STOP SHITTING IN MY BATHTUB???? am i just doomed to deal with this for all of eternity??? (((sincerely someone whos irl cat is doing this send help-)))
//guys, please don't send me asks like this. if your pet is having a real behavioral or medical issue, the correct response isn't to pokemonify it and send it to an askblog. i am not a veterinarian. i have never seen your animal. i cannot diagnose whatever issue is going on, nor would it be ethical for me to try to. improper bowel elimination in cats can be caused from anything ranging from "the litterbox smelled bad that day" to a medical issue causing pain during defecation. take your animal to a vet.

Rules: you will be given a word. Then you share one sentence/excerpt from your wip(s) that starts with each letter of your word!
I was tagged by the fabulous @colubrina with the words RAINS
All of these are from the Chronic Illness Faerie Identity Crisis book I'm getting query-ready:
Relief stretched through her like cat in the sunshine.
Above Morwenna's door, the horseshoe was fixed in place by sturdy iron nails driven into the wall by exactly three hammer strikes.
It wasn’t within Katerina Trevithick’s natural inclination to enjoy mornings, not even on the weekend—but it was within her willpower, so each day she rose at six thirty, brushed her thick, dark hair into a practical ponytail and set about doing something productive, like paying bills or walking the dog or spraying fungicide on the immortal patch of blue mould in the bathroom.
No one came close, like some boundary wrapped around her, deterring human attention as her rowan berries repelled the fey. The bracelet she could take off; the loneliness she could not.
"She has decided, and I won’t pretend to understand her reasons, that Arthur has been stealing the milk.” Katerina said, “Our Arthur? Scrawny teenager who won’t look up from his phone?” Everyone turned to Arthur, who didn’t look up from his phone.

Homemade Spray To Stop Cats From Peeing
Tumblr media
To effectively deter cats from inappropriate urination, consider a homemade spray using natural ingredients. A simple formula involves mixing ½ cup of vinegar with 1 cup of water, which cats typically dislike. Citrus solutions, such as lemon juice or boiled citrus peels, also serve as effective repellents.
For added potency, you can enhance these mixtures with crushed garlic or rosemary extract. Be sure to clean the area thoroughly and reapply regularly, especially after rain. Understanding the triggers behind your cat's behavior is crucial, and exploring various homemade solutions can foster a harmonious environment for both you and your pet.
Key Takeaways
Mix ½ cup vinegar with 1 cup water to create a strong-smelling deterrent spray for cats.
Use citrus mixtures like lemon juice or boiled citrus peels, as cats dislike their scent.
Enhance deterrents with crushed garlic and pepper, but avoid these ingredients directly on cats.
Regularly reapply sprays, especially after rain, to maintain their effectiveness in deterring cats.
Monitor your cat's behavior and consult a veterinarian if issues persist despite using homemade sprays.
Effective Homemade Spray Recipes
youtube
Creating an effective homemade spray to deter cats from inappropriate urination can be a game changer for pet owners seeking a humane solution. Utilizing simple ingredients found at home, you can create homemade mixtures that are both safe and effective. A popular combination includes mixing ½ cup of vinegar with 1 cup of water. This vinegar solution serves as a reliable deterrent due to its strong odor, which cats find unpleasant. Additionally, employing natural scents that cats dislike can enhance the overall effectiveness of your homemade sprays.
For those looking to harness the power of citrus, combining lemon juice or citrus peels with water creates a natural repellent. Adding crushed garlic and pepper to this mixture can enhance its effectiveness, although caution is advised to prevent any harm to your feline friend. Additionally, rosemary extract mixed with water not only smells pleasant but also can help deter cats.
Using a homemade cat spray that includes eucalyptus oil can further enhance the deterrent properties due to its scent that cats dislike.
Furthermore, maintaining a clean litter box is essential in encouraging proper urination habits. Incorporating cat-repelling plants such as rosemary into your garden can provide an additional layer of protection against unwanted feline visits. Deterring cats can also prevent unpleasant odors and damage to property, making your home more comfortable.
It is essential to reapply these sprays regularly, especially after rainfall, to maintain their repellent effectiveness. Remember to test fabrics before application to avoid any discoloration. By creating these gentle yet effective homemade sprays, you can foster a harmonious environment for both you and your beloved pets.
Essential Oils for Deterrents
Essential oils can serve as effective deterrents for cats, providing pet owners with a natural alternative to chemical repellents. However, it is important to approach their use with caution, as many essential oils are toxic to felines. Cats lack the enzymes needed to metabolize these oils, which can lead to serious health risks, including liver damage and respiratory distress.
As a result, always opt for diluted forms of oils and consult a veterinarian before use. Cats are territorial animals, and this instinct can lead them to mark areas with their scent, making deterrents particularly necessary. Additionally, using a DIY cat repellant spray made with safe essential oils can enhance your efforts in keeping unwanted behavior at bay.
Among safe options, lavender and chamomile oils are gentle and can deter cats without causing harm. Lemongrass and rose oils are also effective when properly diluted. Cats generally dislike strong scents like peppermint and eucalyptus, making these oils suitable natural repellents.
Essential oils can be toxic when ingested or applied improperly, so it is vital to monitor for adverse reactions when using them. When using essential oils, it's essential to avoid direct contact with your cat and never apply them to their skin.
Utilizing diffusers can help disperse the scent while minimizing toxicity risks. Understanding your cat's scent preferences can guide you in selecting the most effective oils. By adhering to these safety measures, you can create a harmonious environment that discourages unwanted behavior while keeping your beloved companion safe.
Citrus-Based Deterrents
Tumblr media
Citrus-based deterrents offer a natural and effective solution for pet owners seeking to prevent unwanted feline behaviors, such as inappropriate urination. The strong citrus scent, derived from fruits like lemons, oranges, and grapefruits, is particularly unappealing to cats, making it a valuable tool in managing cat behavior. To create a homemade repellent, mix citrus juice or essential oils with water, or boil citrus peels in water to develop a potent solution. Applying this mixture liberally to affected areas can help safeguard your home from feline mishaps. However, regular reapplication is essential, especially after rain or watering, to maintain its deterrent effect. Citrus-based deterrents are also made with 100% natural essential oils, ensuring that your efforts to protect your home do not harm your beloved pets. Additionally, using non-toxic formulations ensures the safety of your pets and children while effectively deterring cats.
Safety is paramount; while generally safe, some cats may be sensitive to citrus. Understanding cat psychology can enhance the effectiveness of these deterrents, as it allows you to apply them in a way that aligns with your cat's natural behaviors. Testing a small area before widespread application is prudent, ensuring that your efforts do not inadvertently cause distress. Remember, consistency is key for long-term success. By incorporating citrus-based deterrents into your routine, you can foster a more harmonious living environment, allowing both you and your feline companion to thrive together.
Plant-Based Deterrents
For pet owners seeking a natural way to deter cats from inappropriate urination, plant-based deterrents offer an effective alternative. Utilizing herbal deterrents like rosemary, lavender, and eucalyptus can create a welcoming environment while keeping cats at bay. These fresh herbs can be placed in sachets or planted strategically in gardens, providing both visual appeal and functionality.
Plant infusions, such as boiling peppermint in water, can also serve as a deterrent spray. While lavender and eucalyptus are effective, caution is essential, as these plants can be toxic if ingested. Instead, consider mixing rosemary extract with water for a safer option. Additionally, products like Cat Pee Destroyer can effectively eliminate cat urine stains and odors, further supporting your efforts to maintain a clean home.
Incorporating garden strategies, such as planting citronella and rue around your property, can enhance your natural defenses. These plants not only deter cats but also beautify your outdoor space. Regular maintenance and reapplication of herbal sprays may be necessary to maintain their effectiveness.
By embracing plant-based deterrents, you cultivate a harmonious home for both your pets and your garden, ensuring that your living space remains free from unwanted feline visits. Moreover, using environmental stressors like unclean litter boxes can trigger inappropriate urination, making it important to address all potential causes.
Tips For Application
Effectively applying homemade cat deterrents requires careful preparation and strategic implementation. Begin by mixing your chosen repellents in a clean spray bottle, ensuring to test it on a small, inconspicuous area first. This precaution protects your furnishings while allowing you to gauge the effectiveness of the solution. Consider using essential oils like lemon and rosemary, which can help create a natural barrier against cat behavior. It's important to understand that cat spraying can be a response to stress or anxiety, so addressing these underlying causes can enhance the effectiveness of your deterrent. Additionally, incorporating simple, non-toxic ingredients into your spray ensures that it remains safe for both pets and the environment.
Utilize the following application
After application, closely monitor your cat's behavior. If they return to previously marked areas, it may be necessary to reapply or adjust the concentration of your deterrent.
Maintaining a clean environment, free from lingering scents, is essential in this process. You can also explore additional techniques, such as providing scratching posts or employing calming products, to further support your efforts in curbing unwanted behavior.
Tumblr media
Safety Considerations
Ensuring the safety of your feline friend while using homemade repellents is essential. When creating a spray to deter unwanted behaviors, it is vital to evaluate the potential risks associated with certain ingredients that may compromise cat health. Essential oils, such as eucalyptus and citronella, can be toxic to cats, leading to severe symptoms like vomiting, seizures, and confusion if ingested or inhaled. Cats lack the liver enzymes necessary to process these oils, making them particularly vulnerable.
For safer alternatives, prioritize non-toxic ingredients. While citrus and rosemary oils may be used cautiously in diluted forms, always avoid direct application on cats or in areas they frequent. Vinegar is generally safe but should be diluted to prevent irritation.
Be wary of using hot peppers or garlic, as these can cause discomfort. Studies show that using natural ingredients can effectively deter cats without posing harm to their health. Moreover, understanding cat behavior is crucial, as punishing them may exacerbate the issue rather than resolve it.
Always store homemade sprays securely to prevent accidental exposure. If you have concerns about your cat's behavior, think about consulting a veterinarian to rule out any underlying health issues. A proactive approach to your cat's well-being fosters a safe and loving environment while addressing unwanted behaviors effectively.
