Would definitely like to hear about all your Seraph headcanons please!
Congratulations I will now never shut up about my Seraph headcanons >:)))))
Uh this entire post has spoilers for DDS 2 so don’t read if you haven’t played that
Ngl my whole blog is a giant DDS 2 spoiler why the fuck are you here 😭😭😭
Ok so one thing that distinguishes the way I personally draw seraph from canon is that I actually gave them heterochromia, as well as reflecting their hair colour all over their body. The left side of their body has black hair, eyebrows, eyelashes and body hair, and the right side is white/silver.
But the eye colours are swapped, the silver side has Sera’s human eyes, and the black side has Serph’s. Seraphs pupils are also different but that’s because of a general headcanon that I have for the junkyard. You see, since the AI never had complete atma(in the Buddhist/Hindu sense, not the powers) their being is fragmented, so their pupil’s reflect that. It’s also because most of the Asuras are just fragments and stitched together chunks of Sera’s perception of the people that she met.
You’ll be able to see this in the way I draw Seraph, and most Embryon members that I’ve drawn recently.
Some Headcanons That Aren’t Necessarily in Their Design :D
Seraph’s Atma brand glows. If I got to remake DDS 2 (Atlus please let me remake DDS 2) I’d give Seraph’s head a soft glow, maybe with some particle effects. I personally think that the light from their brand is very strong, at times obscuring their face like an angel. And at other times it’s very soft :) and it ebbs and flows, changing intensity as they breathe (like a heartbeat)
Their voice also doesn’t sound like how it does in canon (to me) it’s more of a blend of both Serph and Sera. When they’re calm it’s a near perfect blend, both Serph and Sera’s atma working in perfect unison, but since the Seraph in DDS 2 is very young, when they get agitated or nervous their voice tends to fracture, going out of sync (Serph’s voice will be heard with a slight delay) or different voices speaking different sentences. But since Serph and Sera are very close this doesn’t happen often :)

Random anime/manga recommendations (good oldies!) I have for y'all just bc I love them and hope you would too! also I just want to talk about them bc I love and miss them all!!!
In the list:
Hikaru no Go
Shaman King
Loveless
Yami no Matsuei
Yu Yu Hakusho
Hikaru no Go:
it's about the board game Go but I promise it's so much more heavy than that and the character interaction/development is top tierrrr. also one of the only series that made me bawl like a dumb baby. also!!! you get to watch the characters GROW UP!!! from tiny baby faces to grown teenagers!!! and the fun of it is that while you watch/read, you don't even notice it happening!!! you just look back and go holy shit they were literal BABIES!!!
85 episodes and one OVA, but the OVA only covers half of the final arc, which is manga only. very faithful to the manga otherwise though.
Shaman King:
uhhh okay hear me out you gotta like, read the manga first or watch the 2001 anime first, then do the other one. then you can read the spinoffs. then you can read the sequel if you feel like it but it's more second gen esque and has been off and on for many years, long story, and it's also cut into two different names, long story, but it's flowers and the super star.
once you've read the manga and watched the 2001 anime, the 2021 anime is the remake of the 2001 anime bc the 2001 anime was concluded bc the manga was on hiatus and had caught up to the source material, so they did an anime only ending while sprinkling in bits and pieces of canon into that. the remake was insanely rushed though and cut a lot of content (including a majority of my favorite characters' content which was already low!!!) and super cut corners so imo it's really not a replacement for the manga, hence why I suggest the manga first.
some ppl have said watching the 2001 anime after the manga kinda made the anime feel less great overall bc of the anime only direction it had to take (if it hadn't, it would've ended up like naruto with filler and if y'all were there for that ride, uhhh... never again lmao), so it may be a better experience to watch it first then read the manga.
the anime is aaaaalmost completely faithful (some changes and alterations, but mainly ones that were meant to develop the main characters more and quicker) up until around episode 25, and then it starts getting... timeline-wonky but does follow canon. it just follows the events somewhat incorrectly, put in anime only aspects and swapped things around. after that point, when the characters reach the Patch Village, it's all basically anime only from there with the very final arc sprinkling in some manga only stuff.
anime ending is pretty standard shounen unfortunately, but the manga's ending was a breath of fresh air where it actually follows its themes and story beats right to the end.
that said, the original series is completed. the sequel is... ongoing... sometimes... when it's not blocked by a wall of hiatus bc of the magazine it gets into going under like every single magazine it goes into... but if you don't care for the sequel (understandable tho since it's very different!) that's not a problem. there are tons of spinoffs/side stories though that are both completed and ongoing. there are... a... lot... so basically SK universe is like forever ongoing, but the main series is completed.
** fun fact: hikaru no go and shaman king ran together in shonen jump!
Loveless:
okay so I promise this one is good, but it does feature trigger topics and overall more mature topics.
general premise is hella cringe, cat ppl with cat ears and a tail until they have sex. generally a shounen-ai but there are also het and wlw relationships. older dude claims to be in love with younger dude but it's actually fake and he was just told to say that, so that part goes from cringe to like, actually having backstory.
pretty much a psychological series with side romance (bc as much as it markets itself as romance, there's no "real" romance between the two main characters and the only confirmed pairs are not them). tackles a manipulative, emotionally abusive person who is yandere toward his younger brother, hence tackling more mature and potentially triggering topics. rape is also talked about/implied, though we don't actually see it in explicit detail.
series is complex though and some enemy characters become friendly with the main characters, some just neutral, and some become very close to them. the relationships and dynamics are all amazing though and I love how the more mature topics are handled (tastefully, in other words. it doesn't make light of them and gives depth to the characters) and how the main villain is handled. some more morally gray leaning villainish without being a villain characters are there too.
unfortunate parts of this is that the anime is only like 12 or 13 episodes and was never brought back. worse part is that volume 13 started and the manga went on indefinite hiatus a very, very, very long time ago and has not been touched since and probably never will be again. still an amazing series, but pretty much in permanent limbo unless the author magically decides to take it up again.
Yami no Matsuei:
uhhh listen it's another shounen-ai BUT it's not just romance. i don't really read purely romance series and always need substance and story/plot.
uhhh listen this one's kinda difficult to explain but basically it's a group of dudes who are detective-like ppl who are all actually dead and they get partners assigned who are also dead. villain is batshit nuts.
story can be pretty heavy on the romance/one-sided romance and stuff, but that didn't deter me.
also, talking bird buddies.
as above, the unfortunate parts are one season of about 13 episodes and not picked back up, and the manga is on indefinite hiatus and probably will not continue.
Yu Yu Hakusho:
uhhh you all probably at least know the premise of this one but im gonna come out and say it!!! ...watch the jp dub. promise. i know ppl say the dub was good but. i don't. rly feel that way??? despite growing up with the dub??? and also the sub sounds better to me???
anyway watch this series (or read it!)! :D
** fun fact again!: this series also ran with hng and sk in shonen jump!

How I interpret the core series multiverse
Something I've been thinking over since, around the BDSP/PLA release cycle, is how many timelines exist in the Pokemon multiverse? Well, I think I've come up with about six different timelines, including the timeline Masters takes place in. If you'll all indulge me for a moment or two, I'll lay out the multiverse as I see it:
Classic Timeline:
Yellow
Emerald
Crystal
Platinum
Nothing more complicated here than putting the third versions together, because, let's face it, these WERE the canon versions back in the day! I want to make particular note of Platinum, as I believe Cyrus's actions at the Spear Pillar not only created two entirely different universes, but completely rewrote their histories, given that Dialga's power over time includes future AND past.
Diamond timeline:
FireRed
Ruby
HeartGold
Diamond
Black
Black 2
X
Sun
Sword
Scarlet
So named because this universe is most heavily influenced by Dialga, the Diamond timeline consists of whatever versions the male protags are named after in Adventures. However, Scarlet will be a constant across this and the Pearl timeline, for reasons we'll get into later.
Pearl timeline:
LeafGreen
Sapphire
SoulSilver
Pearl
White
White 2
Y
Moon
Shield
Scarlet
Being the Palkia-influenced universe, you'll find several connections to Palkia's Water-typing, mainly in Kyogre, Lugia, and Lunala. Aside from that, these are mostly the opposite versions to the Diamond timeline. Once again, Scarlet is constant between the two, which of course I'll explain.
Omega timeline:
Let's Go Pikachu
Omega Ruby
Let's Go Johto
Brilliant Diamond
Black remake
Black 2 remake
X remake
Ultra Sun
Sword
Violet
These games are largely alternate universes to the Diamond timeline, some of which haven't even been announced yet, so I guess I have to explain that.
As Mega Evolution was originally stated to be recently discovered in Kalos, that flies in the face of Let's Go Pikachu and Omega Ruby, which prominently feature Mega Evolution prior to the Kalos games, so I grouped them into a timeline together. Speaking of Let's Go, we can safely assume a version of the Johto story occurs three years after that.
Brilliant Diamond is grouped here mostly for its inclusion of the Fairy-type, but I'm willing to bet that when Unova gets remade, Cynthia will reference Dialga in Black, but Palkia in White. And Kalos remakes will most likely retconning the Fairy-type as a long-known commodity.
Ultra Sun is explicitly an alternate Sun, and is the whole reason this and the Alpha timeline are a thing in the first place.
The reason I put Scarlet in both the Diamond and Pearl timelines is because of the possibility that AI Sada travelling to the ancient past causing a butterfly effect that would cause Violet's events to play out instead of Scarlet's.
Alpha timeline:
Let's Go Eevee
Alpha Sapphire
Let's Go Johto
Shining Pearl
White remake
White 2 remake
Y remake
Ultra Moon
Shield
Violet
I won't bore you all by repeating the same logic behind the Omega timeline, just swap out the opposite versions other than Scarlet.
Masters timeline:
FireRed
SoulSilver/Crystal hybrid
Omega Ruby/Emerald hybrid
Platinum
Black
Black 2
X
Ulltra Sun/Ultra Moon
Sword
Scarlet
Masters is somewhat less rigid with its timeline than the ones I've pieced together, but at least there's no need to fret over a Kanto title. Still, I'm going with FireRed just because Red picked Charmander.
I put SoulSilver AND Crystal, not because I believe they're both canon, but because Kris exists, and so I'm assigning her the Suicune sidequest. As for SoulSilver over HeartGold, Ethan seems to have caught Lugia, but not Ho-oh, so I think that settles that.
Similarly, I'm inclined to count Omega Ruby as the canon game because Steven's mindscape features the Groudon mural, and also Brendan as Norman's son has Latios, which would only be the case in Omega Ruby. However, I believe the Masters Hoenn story follows Emerald more closely, as if you look at the team admins' mindscapes, then Tabitha's is the mouth of Mt. Chimney, and Matt's is the remodeled submarine, both roles that Emerald assigned the two teams.
Platinum is explicitly canon to Masters, as Cheryl namedrops the Distortion World, with Cyrus even having both dragons before Dialga abandons him for Lucas.
Hilbert, portrayed as the canon BW1 protagonist, has his base unit's sync move as "The True Razor Shell," and N comes into the game with Zekrom as his base pair, so Black is almost certainly the canon version. Also, Nate recognizes Black Kyurem when Ghetsis tries to make Kyurem absorb Zekrom, so Black 2 almost certainly happened.
There are effectively zero indications of X or Y being the canon version. Lysandre doesn't even count since he wasn't believed to have survived Geosenge Town! That being said, most of Calem and Serena's Pokemon use the Dex entries from X, so until one version or another is confirmed, I'm rolling with X solely on that.
The Ultra games were confirmed since launch, but until Nebby makes an appearance, we won't know for sure whether it's Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon.
Gloria has Zacian, Hop has Zamazenta. Sword is canon, case closed.
Scarlet seems to be canon, based on Nemona wearing the Naranja Academy uniform, but I'd like to see the protags and Arven get added first before making a judgement call. Hoopa shenanigans, and all that.
So out of the natural infinity of multiverse theory, there are at least six timelines in the Pokemon core series multiverse. I mean, technically, there are ten bad timelines where the villains actually win, but those don't make for good worldbuilding (or, multiverse building. Building a multiverse, doesn't get nerdier than that...).

Free Face Swap Software in 2024! Remaker AI, Vidnoz, and LoveFaceSwap
With the rise of AI technology, face swap software has become increasingly popular. In 2024, I explored three notable options: Remaker AI, Vidnoz, and LoveFaceSwap.
Tumblr media
1. Remaker AI: After trying it out, I found that Remaker allows three uses without logging in. Once you log in, you receive 30 points that you can use for face swaps, image generation, and other features. However, once you run out of points, you'll need to make a purchase to continue using the service. Despite this limitation, I believe it remains a strong contender in the market, offering user-friendly features and impressive results, especially for those looking to create quick edits and engaging social media content.
Tumblr media
2. Vidnoz: I discovered that Vidnoz allows five uses without logging in, which is a nice feature for trying it out. However, after logging in, I didn't receive any points, and I still needed to purchase credits to continue using the service. One downside I noticed is that Vidnoz is significantly slower compared to Remaker AI, which can be frustrating if you're looking for quick results. Additionally, it appears that Vidnoz may have restrictions in certain regions or countries, limiting its accessibility for some users.
Tumblr media
3. LoveFaceSwap: This tool stands out as a truly free face swap option, with no login required! I tried out its face swap functionality and found that it offers similar quality and speed to the other two products. What I really appreciate is that you can use it up to 30 times a day for free, and once you hit that limit, your usage resets the following day. This makes it an excellent choice for those who want to experiment without any financial commitment.
Each of these tools has its strengths, so it ultimately depends on your specific needs. What has been your experience with these or other face swap tools?

All the 2020 kdramas I am interested in (and a few I am not)
DEFINITE
365: One Year Against Destiny (MBC) - I am excited to see Lee Joon Hyuk get a lead role and Nom Ji Hyun needs to work more. Plus, time travel!!!!
Alice (SBS) - Joo Won is back in what looks like a complicated tale of love and time travel and noona romance. YESSS!
The Allies - Time for a Green Hero (KBS) - weird title, but a sageuk about the hero growing into a leader against the Japanese invasion sounds up my alley before his, I am sure, inevitable demise.
Can This Person Be Translated (tvN) - Hong Sisters dramas don’t always work for me, but they always get an automatic look-see.
Eighteen Again (jTBC) - I love Kim Ha Neul and I hope it’s a steamy romance for all those “she is tooooo old for her leading man (Lee Do Hyun)” naysayers.
Half of a Half (tvN) - Park Hae Jin and Chae Soo Bin as an OTP yesss.
Here - Noh Hee Kyung is beyond amazing as a writer and the cast (Lee Byung Han, Han Ji Min, Shin Min Ah, Nam Joo Hyuk) is insane!
Hyena (SBS) - Joo Ji Hoon!!!!! And the teaser looked slick.
Idol Doctor - an idol who sleepwalks and his doctor is a premise that would have made 14 year old me scream in glee.
Itaewon Class (jTBC) - I have developed quite a thing for Park Seo Joon recently, I love revenge, and there is gonna be food! Bring it on!
I Will Find You On a Beautiful Day (jTBC) - Park Min Young, Seo Kang Joon, Lee Jae Wook? I need to look no further. But it also sounds like a healing slice of life romance, yum.
The King: the Eternal Monarch (SBS) - Lee Min Ho in a heroic fantasy tale penned by Kim Eun Suk, and also with Kim Go Eun and Woo Do Hwan in the cast? It’s my dream come true.
Memoir of the Man (MBC) - I like the leads a lot (Kim Dong Wook and Moon Ga Young) and I have discovered that romances with odd premises (he remembers everything, she forgets most important moments) tend to work really well for me.
The Most Beautiful Moment in Life (tvN) - second chance romances with older protags are my fave thing, and when it stars Lee Bo Young and Yoo Ji Tae - my heart!!!
Oddball (MBN) - description is hella confusing but I always check out all the sageuks.
Psycho But It’s OK (tvN) - “ A man who denies love and a woman who doesn’t know love defy fate and fall in love, finding their souls and identities in the process. “ Yes please. Also, Kim Soo Hyun doesn’t do anything for me (I know I know) but he always picks good dramas.
Sandbox (tvN) - Suzy and Nam Joo Hyuk in what sounds like a sweet romance. I happen to like both - they have a warm on-screen vibe and good chemistry with their costars. Also (and that is not a slam), a sweet-natured romance sounds like something that plays to their strengths and avoids their limitations (thoughts of either in an intense melo or sageuk would give me hives, but there they will be perfect.)
Ssanggab Cart Bar (jTBC) - a food stall for the dead? Color me intrigued enough to want to check it out; plus Hwang Jung Eum usually has a very good taste for picking dramas.
The Story of Gumiho (tvN) - Lee Dong Wook as a male gumiho! Jo Bo Ah as his eventual lady love! Fantasy and romance and a very happy Mousie!
Superstar Miss Lee - heroine and another lady swap souls, there is a chaebol possibly played by Yoo Seung Ho, etc etc. Sometimes I am just in the mood for a good, old-school crazy drama.
Train (OCN) - yes, an OCN drama made it on the list, is it a parallel world? Nope, but a parallel world where OCN makes romances may be involved since it stars Kim Jae Wook (OMG yes) as a detective trying to protect his dead love in a parallel world where she is alive. Will miracles never cease?
Welcome (KBS) - and the award for the most insane premise goes to!!! L is a cat (!!!!) who, and I quote, “mastered the art of transformation into human form.” He hooks up with his owner (!!!!!????!!!!) There is so much insanity in this, that I am already riveted, though not necessarily in a good way.
Youth Report (tvN) - I know little about that one but Park Bo Gum has consistently picked dramas I like.
MAYBE
City of Stars: no idea if this one is happening but Ji Chang Wook playing an astronaut sounds interesting. Though he doesn’t always pick the best dramas (hello there, the awful Melt Me), he’s always fun to watch!
Danjong, the Young King (MBC) - any sageuk is at least a try but I literally found zip about this one.
The Game: Towards Zero (MBC) - honestly, the yes/no will depend on whether there is a romance. Someone who can see a dead person’s last moments pairing up with a lady detective to solve serial murders is very far out of my jam (and someone give Im Joo Hwan a leading role dammit, the man is wasted playing the inevitable serial killer) but Taecyeon is adorable even if not the best actor and I would brave this genre if he and Lee Yeon Hee (an underrated girlcrush of mine) are allowed to be a couple.
Late Night Snack Man and Woman (SBS) - bizarre title but I am fond of Sung Hoon despite his less than consistent choice of projects and a conman (who hopefully gets redeemed) sounds fun. I also think the hero pretends to be gay (!?!?!) which I haven’t seen as a major plot point since Personal Choice which could either be fun or bad, who knows.
Memorist (tvN) - I like to watch Yoo Seung Ho but I don’t care for mysteries. Still, it’s on tvN so maybe there will be romance.
Money Game (tvN) - banking and money scheming rarely works for me, but sometimes can be a smart thing, plus I have got to check out Go Soo being back on my screen!
Penthouse (SBS) - the insane writer of The Last Emperor and Temptation of Wife. An experienced cast of my favorites with Lee Ji Ah, Shin Sung Rok and Eugene. It will most likely be a trainwreck I will ditch halfway but hope springs eternal.
The Search (OCN) - the star of Nokdu in the DMZ? Yes!!! But OCN does no romance so my enthusiasm is diminished.
Secret - I like Park Hae Jin and Jo Bo Ah well enough, but mainly because I am damn curious if this baby will ever air!
So I Married an Anti-Fan - this a prefilmed drama that seems to find a home nowhere which means its probably not good, but the premise of an idol having to shack up with his anti-fan for publicity is too amusing for me not to at least want to peek if it actually does air.
Touch (Channel A) - I have an oddly hormonal attraction to Joo Sang Wook (I love the really sexy middle manager look, sue me!) but idols and make-up artists and all that are not necessarily my jam. It depends on the execution.
Unique: Chef Moon - I love Eric to bits but when I start reading the description of a chef dedicated to organic cooking, I start to fall asl...zzzzzzzzz.
WHHHHYYYYY
Hi Bye Mama - I adore Kim Tae Hee, but the premise of a dead wife and mother who comes back for 49 days to her grieving family, presumably including sad children and husband who is only now beginning to recover sounds like one only a genuine masochist could love.
My Holo Love (netflix) - a lonely woman hooks up with an AI. Between the fact that Absolute Boyfriend poisoned me for an AI romance forever, the fact that the heroine has face blindness (isn’t that so 2018?), and that the description includes the extraordinarily maudlin “drama is filled with stories of heartbreaking loneliness and tear-stained love,” I will pass.
Que Sera Sera - out of sheer trainwreck curiosity because I adore the original and why remake a drama that’s only a bit over a decade old, and with relative newbies.
What’s Happened in Bali - if it ever gets made that is (please no.) The original is amazing but they are not repeating the Jo In Sung - So Ji Sub - Ha Ji Won casting miracle and there is no need for a remake; plus this drama is something that makes sense in 2005 but less so in 2020 and just generally leave a classic alone, people.

Nvidia Says Its AI Created a ‘Fully Functional’ Version of Pac-Man
Chipmaker Nvidia says it has trained a machine learning program to create Pac-Man from scratch and without a game engine after forcing the AI to "watch" 50,000 matches of the game.
The AI is called GameGAN, a neural network based on Nivdia’s generative adversarial network (GAN) model. These programs learn by observing large numbers of training inputs, like video of thousands of Pac-Man matches plus user inputs, and producing examples that match the original. The AI’s version of Pac-Man is "fully functional" and Nvidia plans to release its code soon.
GANs aren’t new and people have used them to generate faces that don’t exist, turn pictures of dogs into cats, and transform humans into waifus.
“This is the first research to emulate a game engine using GAN-based neural networks,” Seung-Wook Kim, an Nvidia researcher said in a press release. “We wanted to see whether the AI could learn the rules of an environment just by looking at the screenplay of an agent moving through the game. And it did.”
According to a Nvidia blog, the AI program generates the game frame-by-frame, keeping track of what's already been generated to maintain consistency. According to Nvidia, the AI managed to reproduce the game's core rules and mechanics. However, Polygon noted, Nvidia VP of simulation technology Rev Lebaredian said in a media briefing this week that the AI actually ended up with a bias towards never letting the player die. Even if it has to bend the rules, it will try and keep the player alive.
It’s impressive work, but GANs aren’t new and people have used them to generate faces that don’t exist, turn pictures of dogs into cats, and transform humans into waifus. Indeed, researchers have used AI to generate elements of video games for a while now, even generating Super Mario Bros. levels, for example. Computer scientists Matthew Guzdial and Mark Riedl even created an algorithm that generates whole video games by watching footage of Kirby, Mega Man, and Super Mario Bros . The games started as reams of code, but Guzdial and Riedl eventually trained the AI to add visuals and sound with minimal input from the user.
Guzdial, who is now an AI researcher and assistant professor at the University of Alberta, said there’s a lot of pre-existing research that focuses on AI generating video games or elements of video games.
“The new stuff here compared to a typical GAN is that they're explicitly giving it ‘memory’ of what it has already output and splitting up the modelling of static and dynamic components of the game,” he told Motherboard in a Twitter DM.
Nvidia’s GameGAN separates the foreground and background elements of Pac-Man, the ghosts and the player character from the maze, and trains either as different elements. This allowed the team to do some strange things like replace Pac-Man with Mario in the maze.
Guzdial was careful to point out that Nvidia’s official research paper isn’t out until May 25, and said he’s seen similar work from other researchers.
“First off, Ha and Schmidhuber and their ‘World Models’ paper from 2018, which was able to get similar looking results over one of the two same domains using [very simplified Doom mini game,” he said. Second off, there's very recent work from Queen Mary University which also looks to try to learn to replicate a game, and notably does it with a ‘Neural Game Engine,’ basically a way of letting neural nets learn game rules more explicitly, instead of learning game rules as big complicated functions of tons of parameters.”
The original Pac-Man rom is around 14KB. Guzdial said he thinks, though he’s not sure because the research isn’t yet published, that Nvidia’s AI generated Pac-Man will be several GB large. He doesn’t think we’ll be playing AI generated versions of old-school games anytime soon.
“Even if we could, why play a noisy remake of an original game, when you could just play the original game?” He said.“Despite demonstrating that they can swap out static and dynamic elements, this Nvidida work is still fundamentally going to be an imperfect copy of an existing game.”
According to Nvidia, the goal of the work is more about advances in training AI than video games; teaching an AI the rules of Pac-Man by making it watch hours of footage of the game is a proof of concept.
“Suppose you install a camera on a car. It can record what the road environment looks like or what the driver is doing, like turning the steering wheel or hitting the accelerator,” Nvidia said in a blog about the research. “This data could be used to train a deep learning model that can predict what would happen in the real world if a human driver—or an autonomous car—took an action like slamming the brakes.”
According to Guzdial, the future of AI in video games is about assistance. Game designers may soon use AI to help them sculpt new games out of existing code and footage. “The thing that's most interesting to me for [deep neural network] game engines specifically is how they can be used to help agents learn to play the original games,” he said. He pointed to Go-Explore, an AI that learned how to explore environments by playing the Atari games Montezuma’s Revenge and Pitfall. The point, Guzdial says, is to get the AI working with an imperfect game agent—an AI player—to improve the way the AI makes predictions.
As for Nvidia's project, “Their stated goal is to learn models of real world domains, but I just don't see us getting there very soon given the accuracy these approaches have been demonstrating,” Guzdial said. “Specifically, I don’t expect GAN architectures specialized to games will be how we get there.”
