Well, we finally did it. We have officially reached over 1000 polls on the blog..... so it's tournament time. In trying to watch some of Phil Dunster’s past work, I found a music video for the song “Your Youth” by singer Rekha Luther on director Mark Waters’ web site. It looks like it was filmed spring 2021 or around then, based on Instagram posts, but it’s possible that’s just when the photos were posted. I found an earlier reference putting the video as early as summer 2020. 

I’m not seeing a “share” button on the Vimeo website to embed it here on Tumblr, so I will put the direct link to it for people to follow.

so uh like I havent really had a bunch of time lately bc of like school n stuff

but!! we do have a few doodles I've done recently ig mhmhm

this one is of a silly goofy photo I took of my cat the other day while she was chewing my pencil (she is a menace to society)

another cat one I did while I was bored doing study but I was too scared to draw the eye and just didn't get around to it lol

this one is of an oc that I kind of sketched in a page of practice (ignore the eye at the top of her head lols) anyway her names Rekha uhm and I have a few thoughts about her

then I have these 2 I did in English today so they're a bit whack but yk

I actually really like how I drew Hannah's skirt uhhmm :3 we don't talk about her eyes lol

I'm pretty sure both of these were heavily inspired by things I've seen but idk the original artists and its making me feel a bit guilty

anywho these last ones I did in my little notebook which I take everywhere with me and I did them at the beach of some crows that were jumping around me :D I don't really like the beach but it was a really nice day so I went and did some people watching and doodles ^^

that's pretty much all I've done in the last couple weeks and I do have some pearlo sketches somewhere but I can't find them ;-; sorryyy

Honoring the memory of #PrakashMehra, a remarkable filmmaker in Hindi cinema, on the 14th anniversary of his passing (17/05/2009).

He was among the trailblazers of masala films, alongside #NasirHussain and #ManmohanDesai. His collaborations with the actor #AmitabhBachchan resulted in numerous sensational hits and timeless masterpieces.

Mehra commenced his journey in the late 1950s as a production controller. In 1968, he helmed Haseena Maan Jayegi, featuring Shashi Kapoor in a captivating double role. Then, in 1973, he ventured into production and direction with Zanjeer. This exceptional collaboration with Amitabh Bachchan marked the beginning of a long-lasting and fruitful partnership, spanning seven more films. Among them, six emerged as blockbuster sensations: Hera Pheri, Khoon Pasina, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Lawaaris, Namak Halaal, and Sharaabi.

Their final joint project, Jaadugar, unfortunately faced a setback, concluding their streak of triumphs. Zanjeer holds the distinction of launching Bachchan's career as a leading actor, while Jaadugar was released during a transitional phase in Bachchan's illustrious journey.

Prakash Mehra also stood as one of the early Bombay directors who aspired to explore Hollywood. In the late eighties, he embarked on a collaborative endeavor with Frank Yandolino to bring The God Connection to life. This ambitious project aimed to include acclaimed Hollywood actors like Charles Bronson, among others. Despite substantial initial funding, the project ultimately remained unrealized.

Today, we remember Prakash Mehra's invaluable contributions to the world of cinema, his pioneering spirit, and the indelible mark he left on the industry.

1. Sorry, my dears my lock screen is my kid and his cat when Garfield was a kitten. There isn't a way to censor it properly and share the cuteness of them watching engineering videos together. Garfield was captivated by the electricity and kid loves taking things apart. It melts my heart and it's been my lock screen for like 2 years now.
