This Independence Day will be a moviegoer's dream, with films of many genres and languages being launched in theaters. In Hindi, Stree 2, Vedaa, and Khel Khel Mein will face off. On August 15, two huge Telugu films will be released: Mr Bachchan, starring Ravi Teja, and Double iSmart, starring Ram Pothineni and Sanjay Dutt. In this article, Bollywood Hungama will look at the cuts made to Mr Bachchan by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

The CBFC approved the film with a U/A certificate. However, it requested various adjustments. To begin with, a disclaimer was included at the beginning stating that the film is imaginary and bears no similarity to any person or place. Then a 2-minute-plus clip with a young child smoking a beedi was censored. The beedi was replaced by a pencil. The one-second shot of blood on the floor was eliminated. Then, in four instances, specific words and abuses were muted or substituted.

Finally, the makers showed a poster of Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha during the rolling titles. According to the CBFC's direction, this poster was removed and replaced with one featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan.

Following these revisions, the CBFC approved the picture on August 13, two days before its release. According to the censor certificate, the picture runs for 158 minutes. In other terms, Mr Bachchan's run time is two hours and 38 minutes. Mr Bachchan is the official remake of Raid (2018), which stars Ajay Devgn. While Ravi Teja plays the protagonist, Jagapathi Babu portrays the antagonist. The female lead is Bhagyashri Borse, who most recently played Nayantara in Kartik Aaryan's Chandu Champion. Mr Bachchan is directed by Harish Shankar.
