Summary: When your partners finally get home after a few long weeks of wrestling you decide its spa night.

After weeks of grueling touring and non-stop action, your partners Rhea, Dom, Finn, and Damian finally arrive back home, exhaustion etched into their expressions. Seeing them weary and worn-out tugs at your heart, and you know exactly what they need: a well-deserved spa night.

"Hey, everyone," you announce with a bright smile, gathering them all in the living room. "I've got a surprise for you. How about a spa night to unwind and relax?"

Rhea's tired eyes light up at the idea. "A spa night sounds heavenly right about now."

Dom, who's been practically living out of a suitcase, raises an eyebrow. "Are you sure about this? You know I'm not really the spa type."

You chuckle softly. "Trust me, Dom, it's exactly what you need."

Finn, looking slightly skeptical, quirks an eyebrow. "I've got to admit, I'm not entirely convinced, but I'm willing to give it a shot."

Damian crosses his arms, eyeing you with a playful smirk. "You're pretty persuasive, love, but I'm not so easily swayed."

You raise an eyebrow, a mischievous glint in your eyes. "Is that a challenge?"

The corners of Damian's lips curl upwards. "Maybe."

With a determined grin, you lead your partners to the makeshift spa setup you've prepared in the living room. Soft ambient lighting, soothing music, and an array of scented oils and lotions await them.

Rhea sinks into the plush armchair, letting out a content sigh. "This is already amazing."

Dom hesitates for a moment before taking a seat, the tension in his shoulders visibly easing as he does so. "Okay, maybe this isn't so bad."

Finn sprawls out on a cushioned mat, glancing around at the serene atmosphere you've created. "I have to admit, this is pretty nice."

Damian raises an eyebrow, a hint of amusement in his gaze. "Well played."

You grin, satisfied that they're all on board. "I knew you'd come around."

As the spa night progresses, you take turns giving each other massages, applying face masks, and simply enjoying the tranquility. Laughter and easy conversation flow as the stress of the past few weeks begins to melt away.

"This was definitely a brilliant idea," Rhea muses, leaning back in her chair.

Dom nods in agreement, looking surprisingly relaxed. "Yeah, I can't deny it. I needed this."

Finn smirks, his usual playful demeanor back. "I suppose you were right."

Damian's gaze meets yours, a soft smile gracing his lips. "You always know how to take care of us."

As the night continues, you all find yourselves more relaxed than you've been in weeks. The laughter and camaraderie fill the air, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's moments like these that remind you why your bond with Rhea, Dom, Finn, and Damian is so strong.

As the spa night comes to an end, you exchange content smiles with your partners. The exhaustion of touring has been replaced with a sense of rejuvenation and connection, and you're reminded once again of the power of taking care of each other.

She did not like me at first. I was too naive and “soft” for her liking, but then she got to know me and kinda understood me better. First I must shoutout @sailorspica for bringing this to my attention... a new friend of mine (if I may be so bold to use the F word) but someone I PARTICULARLY enjoy interacting with and talking with. I'm unfortunately more offline than I want to be these days but Kat is someone I always want to come back and see and feel rejuvenated by seeing. Kat's mind is truly something else and she is an expert as far as all of her passions are concerned, and she approaches interactions with a warm heart and genuine curiosity and desire for collaboration and understanding. 🩵

@blondeboyfriend is someone very near and dear to my heart. Finn tolerates my poking and rambling and obnoxious behavior and is simply, simply, the coolest. They have a level head and pragmatic yet deep approach. She is the ocean - deep and rich and mysterious and colorful and wonderful. Finn has long stirred a writing spark in me that only aspires to be as great in both my personal life and my writing as they are. 💙

@p00pdev1l is all-around incredible. I am always delighted to see Jazz's nonsense and LOVE on the dash. I never feel anything but the strongest support and encouragement interacting with her, but even more than that, the love overflows from everyone who she interacts with. 🤍

@bloompompom is WONDERFUL, amazing, fantastic. Her art has a spirit; she knows how to make characters her own while keeping their essence. She has grace and patience and kindness. She is one of the first artists I think of when I think of tumblr but more, with the tumblr COMMUNITY. 🧡

@strawberrystepmom is someone else who I think of when I think of community. Tumblr / fandom just isn't what it used to be, and Kendall keeps it alive. This is the official Dandy’s world: REJUVENATOR blog!

I originally hosted the comic on my page, but I thought it would make things look neater if the comic was in one place without the random posts In between!

This post is going to lay down the ground rules of the au as well as the general plot!

Firstly, for the general plot, it goes as follows;

Rejuvenator follows Shrimpo and Finn, curing the other toons which have all twisted since with the help of Dandy, his assistant and their supply of Richor.

The events of how Shrimpo and Finn meet are explained in the prologue, but I’ll explain it here as well.

Shrimpo was out scavenging when he runs into Finn, who appears to be normal- even after twisting. Shrimpo asks Finn how he’s back to normal and Finn leads him to Dandy, who was the one to cure him.

With the basic plot down, Ima set down the ground rules of the Au.

In rejuvenator canon, three years have passed since the twisted outbreak started.

All toons except Shrimpo , Finn and Dandy are twisteds as of now.

Radix- The original toons turned twisted- are the only type of twisteds that can talk- besides Glistens.

A person twists by ingesting ichor or overall getting into orifices like their eyes, open cuts and ears

As of now, There is only the prologue and three parts of the first chapter.

The Swedish People's Party is looking at why voters seem to be deserting it, after a Helsingin Sanomat poll suggested a 0.5 percentage point dip in support compared to last year's parliamentary election.

The party joined a new right-wing government last year, after serving Sanna Marin's SDP-led administration between 2019 and 2023, and has watched on as the populist Finns Party's ministers have run into numerous scandals.

It is now polling below the Christian Democrats. Party bigwigs interviewed by HS said that they were taking note of the poll and thinking about what could be done differently, but that one poll is still one poll.

There were different views on the right conclusion to draw. The party's vice chair, Henrik Wickström, said that they should be bolder in differentiating between themselves and their coalition partners.

Otto Andersson, who chairs the party's parliamentary group, said that he felt there was no desire for that, and that party supporters had told him that "if we are in government, we should be there properly".

Polls open

Advance voting in the presidential election started on Wednesday, and there is coverage in most papers.

Helsingin Sanomat has a list of polling stations in Uusimaa, while Aamulehti, Turun Sanomat and Kaleva have similar stories for their own patches.

Voting runs until 23 January, and voters can pick any polling place nationwide in the advance voting phase. If they wait until election day itself, 28 January, they must use their allocated polling station.

Cold-weather bedding

Iltalehti has a warning for those tempted to use the colder weather to air out their bedding. The frigid temperatures can rejuvenate duvets and pillows, killing dust mites and refreshing the bed coverings.

But if you do leave items out in the cold for several hours, you risk damaging certain types of pillow. Memory foam pillows and mattresses are particularly vulnerable to this, according to IL.

Those buying mattresses should also be careful when taking them home. They come rolled up tightly in plastic wrapping, and if they are in a cold car for a long period they could freeze in that shape.

They then need to warm up before opening, otherwise they might struggle to expand to their full size once out of the packaging.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire - REVIEW

The ensemble cast, blending old favorites with new faces, is one of the film's brighter aspects. Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace slip comfortably back into their roles, their chemistry and comedic timing intact. The return of Ghostbusters icons like Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson adds a delightful touch of nostalgia. Yet, the film's over-reliance on these legacy characters feels like a double-edged sword, offering fan service at the expense of originality and narrative depth.

Kumail Nanjiani and Patton Oswalt, as newcomers to the franchise, bring a fresh dynamic, but their talents are underutilized in a plot that feels like it's going through the motions. The villain, a death-chilling god named Garraka, promises a formidable adversary but is ultimately let down by a showdown that's as fleeting as it is underwhelming.

The comedic elements, a cornerstone of the Ghostbusters legacy, hit more misses than hits this time around. Attempts at humor often fall flat, struggling to elicit the hearty laughs expected from the franchise. The film's visual effects, particularly those surrounding the villain, showcase some impressive moments, but these are sparse highlights in an otherwise muted narrative landscape.

A crucial misstep of "Frozen Empire" is its inability to cultivate genuine stakes. The sense of danger, the thrilling possibility of loss, is noticeably absent. Characters meander through chaotic scenarios with an air of invincibility, stripping the film of tension and leaving audiences detached from the on-screen drama.

However, it's not all doom and gloom. Amidst the mediocrity, there are flashes of uniqueness, brief glimpses of a path that could potentially rejuvenate the franchise. These moments, although rare, suggest that with a bolder approach and a willingness to venture beyond the safety of nostalgia, there might still be hope for future installments.

In conclusion, "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire" is a testament to the challenges of balancing homage with innovation. While it certainly provides a dose of ghostly entertainment, complete with nods to its illustrious lineage, it ultimately feels like a missed opportunity.
