Mu Qing ascending is objectively so funny considering Feng Xin and Xie Lian also do. Out of the people in your kingdom who accomplished immortality there’s this guy who used to be your servant but is now on equal rank to you and he‘s super rude now and also thinks you hate him because he remembers when you were 18 and lacked socioeconomic-interpersonal awareness

#he doesn’t even hold the ignorance against you. you hold it against him though #list of people who ascended from Xianle: the crown prince and his noble bodyguard. also the prince’s attendent who came from poverty #like mu qing only got to cultivate because of a very specific set of circumstances but like he did it very successfully #it’s hilarious #by all rights he worked harder than them both but he sure got there #also you see him as super rude and mean now while the people of his region keep insisting he’s kind gentle and refined etc.#Feng Xin looks at Mu Qing as if they were in the same boat and Xie Lian looks at Mu Qing like they were in the same boat #and Mu Qing is there doing their chores on top of studying and training and caring for his mother looking at their idealistic nonsense #with many question marks #Xie Lian and Feng Xin: our past friend Mu Qing #Mu Qing: ah yes. my employer. who I would like to befriend but unfortunately I have dignity.#tgcf #like sorry not everyone has the awareness or priorities or ideas another who grew up poor might smh #also he has like a ridiculously impeccable memory so like. yea he DOES remember when you were 18. in vivid detail.#he used to prepare your clothes so has your whole cultural fashion line embedded into his head forever. including the jewelry #imagine being 800 years old and the guy that used to steam your clothes every morning and fold them every night lives next door #isn't that so embarrassing #that guy remembers EVERYTHING too #you don't remember that stuff but HE DOES?????

#fuecoco #i gotta say i didn't really care for this thing at first. it was one of my least favorite starters right next to grookey when it was first #revealed. and normally i'm a big fan of fire starters. but this guy didn't do it for me #and this design still doesn't‚ but i do appreciate skeledirge. it's very cool‚ i love the fire hat and the día de los muertos design #it really feels like tpc have been going all out on making pokémon that Fit The Region since gen 8 #which is pretty cool. i like it. and i definitely think paldea has some very fun vibes. but i dunno if i'd say it's one of my favorite #regions pokémon-wise or layout-wise. it was their first shot at open world‚ and i think it shows #the older regions with more limitations definitely shone more because they worked better in those limitations #paldea just feels like a big open empty sandbox at times. which is fun to explore‚ but doesn't feel too civilized compared to something #like… unova. where there's a city on every fuckin route corner and they're all so full of life and personality #like i could not remember any of the paldea town themes for the life of me. i can remember their names for the most part #but that's basically just because the facilities that get used a lot are spread out between them. for example: i remember medali #specifically because it's where i go to change a pokémon's tera type. i remember mesagoza because it's the main hub city #i remember levincia because of the posters. i remember montenevera because i think the hyper training guy is there #but not because like. i remember driftveil because YAAAAAAAAAAAAA #y'know. even galar had a better region design than paldea #that's not to say i think paldea is BAD. like i'm not a scarlet/violet hater like every other pokémon “fan” on the internet #i've put like 200+ hours into that fuckin game. i still LIKE it. but my heart still holds a soft spot for kalos and the like

Taking the train is so fucking great! I've barely been on it for 30min and I've already seen a bunch of geese and deer and a heron!

#Love that it's called heron in English it sounds so noble. the German word is 'Reiher'#and the verb 'reihern' means 'to throw up'#also this is the connection that goes through the Oberpfalz and Vogtland and I love that connection #just gorgeous views from the train #also I'm not taking the Oberpfalzbahn but if I was that would also mean the occasional announcement in czech which is also fun #still fascinated that regional trains can do that and even throw in English for good measure but for some reason for the db #this is fully beyond their abilities in a eurocity #like the Oberpfalzbahn doesn't even cross the border at any point the EC starts to get operated by db in Děčín #and then you get one more professional pre-recorded čd message and then it jumps straight into #'Sehrgeehrtedamenundherren Ichheißesieherzlichwillkommenimec174richtungberlinviadresden #Dasteamderdeutschenbahnwünschtihneneineangenehmefahrt' with pauses only to breathe and enough background noise to make it #completely incomprehensible #in the certified db announcement cadence #you know the one
