Remember the 6 year old girl who was surrounded by Israeli tanks and the red crescent couldn't reach her? Her name is Hind Hamadeh. Here you can hear the phone call her 15 year old sister, Layan Hamadeh, made with the medics. She was killed exactly a moment later including all people in the car, except for 6 year old Hind who was stuck in the car with the dead bodies of her family, Israeli tanks and IDF surrounding her, shooting, preventing anybody to reach her.

That was last night (29.1.24). Today, still nothing. The fate of Hind remains unknown.

palestine red crescent ambulance team went to rescue her yesterday evening, but they have not returned as of now. We lost contact with them about 18 hours ago, and we still remain unaware of their fate and whether they succeeded in evacuating her or not.

Please, share Hind's story as much as you can on any platform. We need to know what happened to her. Put yourself in her place, how terrified she must be. Don't scroll past this.

I haven't seen much on Tumblr about the Lost Alaskans Project but this is Birdie Sam, a Two-Spirit Lingít activist, and their dad is Elder Bob Sam, Lingít of Sitka, who works to repatriate the remains of First Nations children and adults who were subjected to residential schools and mental hospitals.

They're asking folks to please spread the word to reach as many possible kin and survivors of the estimated 3500 Alaskans committed to Morningside Mental Institution in Oregon.

For those that have more time to share, Birdie has some great free resources, education, and suggested actions on their site and in their free newsletter, to learn more about and help take action on The Lost Alaskans Project, environmentalism, Land Back, and Indigenous Rights.

it was announced recently that the yuri manga sukeban to tenkousei has been cancelled due to low sales, which personally made me upset bc it was genuinely a really good work. today inee, the author of love bullet, has said she's struggling with the sales of vol 1, so fans have made a guide to purchase it. i'm sharing this bc i read the first volume of love bullet and i loved it, it has so much potential and it's so sad that it might get cancelled. any amount of visibility for the manga will help! guys. it has cupid girls with guns. and gay people. come on

i hope everyone knows that the last wga strike was ~100 days and it's a pretty common phenomenon for strike support to tank after a month or two when it feels like it's dragging on and some writers and talk show hosts are crossing picket lines and trying to "return" to "normal" because of people's livelihoods etc when they're really just scabs. sure hope that we keep that in mind and are prepared for the long haul and aren't just in it while it's convenient for us <3

sometimes while i think about that while a lot of adults did not treat me very well as a kid i also get a lot of 'in hindsight this person was so good to me and i didnt even realize it until now' as an adult. today i was thinking about how the first anime convention i ever went to was when i was 10 and i asked the man working the manga cafe what manga was/what a good place to start was (because the con was very overstimulating for me and i had gotten lost) and he asked how old i was before recommending yotsuba and asking if i wanted any water or something to eat. its really simple but theres a lot of bad things that couldve happened or he could've been careless in his recommendation, but instead yotsuba has remained one of my favorite manga for years, and probably a large portion of why i continue to read manga as an adult... i think adults who try to involve kids in the world safely/kindly even in little ways make so much more of a difference than they ever really know.
