The future looks bright and sleek.I imagine the temperature is just right all day and all night, to completely eliminate the use of sheets and blankets.Feeling a bit naked by looking at this pic.But I also imagine our bodies more like cyborgs,ha! I guess ,after seeing so many Hollywood flicks ,retro futuristic and cool.My mind gets to work as to why we haven’t yet reach that echelon,and if we have then is most certainly deep underground or in outer space with the advice of “them aliens”! Ha! The one troubling aspect is that if all those Grey aliens are the product of Artificial Intelligence and cyborg cloning ,no wonder they could achieve such an advanced state of innovation,none of the crap that prevents us from moving forward. No union disputes,no vacations ,no ego involved quietly cloning the droids to replace old units.I could go on and on but you get my drift.The crude reality is that we are heading that way ,millions without jobs ,no retirement,no pension ,homeless dying of hunger ,third world countries disappearing,with plenty of space to build utopia.The one very possibility is to be taken off world ,by them to work in a nearby galaxy where planets are starting to be terraformed,and humans can work as slaves. We are told the dawn of civilization begun like this. As you enter the woods and you are on a familiar trail,everything seems beautiful peaceful and the common cacophony of the forest bathes you .But the second your body energy gets a jolt of your own electricity,that second you begin to feel you are being watched,folks that’s not paranoia,I don’t care what your psychologist says, he or she is dead wrong.There are creatures that have been around longer than us bipedal humans.Creatures that not even scientists have cared to classify ,so the easy answer always there’s something wrong with you.Really?As shamans know it too well,if you feel you are being watched ,you are indeed being watched.The following question is what are you going to to do about it? Many hikers, and campers vanish because they completely ignore the warnings, like walking into grizzly territory and not carrying maze,a noisemaker,a rifle! And expecting to survive an encounter.There are hundreds of cases that folks that died because they ignore the warnings and fail to carry a weapon. A clearing at a river where the daylight meets the deep woods ,although it may look peaceful it is never without a sense of high and strangeness. That constant feeling of being watched. Those of you who often venture into nature,know exactly what I mean.Native American shamans that have roamed the North American wilderness from time immemorial have it in their oral history tales galore of creatures both seen and unseen that have been living in such place and lost many of their own tribes.Never to be seen again,simply swallowed by the darkness.Elders often gather to smoke their pipes and report of their encounters with those who descend from above to snatch and eat humans.Those sons and daughters that leave the reservation return with tales of having seen abductions taking place at the beaches ,the desert biking trails ,city suburbs,and often in large cities from rooftops of hospitals and city parks. But never report such cases to the authorities because they know what their response will be. The sun will come out tomorrow,for sure .But where will you be?Flying high or laying low? This earthly journey has take much of me ,but the sun has given me back those days of longing and inertia turning my gray skies to blue .Grateful to have received much and taken so little.As a modern shaman many old rituals that no longer apply have gone into my trunk of old practices. Now ,this doesn’t mean I have ceased to be grateful for the gifts received and the souls seeking my advice,no,I just taken a sabbatical from my practices. To appreciate every Angel ,spirit guide and animal spirit that has sat with me around my fire pit,singing and chanting,drumming and tapping old but effective mantras taught by my elders to bring about changes and tranquility to my surroundings. The sharing of some basic principles that lead you to meditate involve these things.Create a circle of flat stones 3 feet in diameter and paint a circle on each stone,choose three colors of your liking and then put a candle preferably white and light it.Close your eyes and repeat these words I close my eyes and call my spirit guides to join me in a peace prayer. Construct your own mantra and whisper it to the four winds .Take four deep,breaths and sit in silence. These days of so much conflict between nations,the fun of flying has taken a toll among globetrotters like me. The cities are becoming cesspools,we all know this,as the system is breaking down and drugs are really turning our neighborhoods into no man’s land,the stuff we used to read in cartoons is becoming a reality ,drug addicts turning into real zombies, shootings at public schools and the horrific list of crimes is getting worse and worse.Millions are heading for the countryside. Buying cottages ,old farm houses, ghost towns that once bloom with the wheat and corn fields are becoming the new American town ,quiet and clean the right place to be ,population 500 max. The clean crowd working online. While our once thriving capital cities were the heartbeat of America,now polluted and basic services failing ,the good folks are selling and moving away.Sad but true.Finding a good deal on a house with plenty of space,quiet to spend the retirement years,is a blessing.But like every coin that has two faces ,we must be careful when it comes to selecting a new town .There’s even an exodus of Americans moving abroad, yes ,moving South,but that’s not for everyone.The American Dream is so far gone ,but folks there’s plenty of space here ,we just have to clean the bureaucracy and return to the old values.Life is short ,so we must do our best to keep our selves together.
